Our wedding at Lake of Isles was absolutely perfect! The venue itself is breathtaking, from the beautiful views to the elegant event spaces, everything was stunning.
From the very beginning, Bethany, the Director of Catering, went above and beyond to help us every step of the way. She was so kind, organized, and attentive, making the entire planning process stress-free. On the day of our wedding, Gage, the Banquet Manager, was incredible as well, he made sure everything ran smoothly and that every detail was just right.
The food and drinks were delicious, and the setup was flawless. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful everything was and how amazing the service felt throughout the night.
We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend Lake of Isles to anyone looking for a wedding venue that is not only gorgeous but has an outstanding team that genuinely cares about making your day perfect!

When I tell you our day went flawlessly, I’m not lying. Bethany and Gage and their team were supportive, patient and beyond helpful in every situation that popped up along the 2 years of planning— up through the day of the wedding!

From the moment we stepped in, Bethany greeted us with a smile. In fact, we like the walk through, details and inclusiveness so much, we didn’t need to look any further. The ballroom is absolutely stunning. We originally said we didn’t want a ballroom reception, until we walked into their ballroom. The wood ceilings, the curtains, the decor were top notch.

Our day of coordinator Gage was wonderfully calming on an absolutely chaotic day. He calmed me every time I needed to be, he guided our entire wedding party and families graciously and gracefully. The food was the talk of the night and was delicious! 

My now wife and I had the absolute pleasure of getting married at the Lake of Isles in November of 2024. We had everything at the venue, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and it all went off without a hitch. This is very well run venue and they went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful day. Special thanks to Director of Catering Bethany Arico, who helped us from the first visit until the day of the wedding. She was wonderful to work with and one of the biggest reasons you should have your wedding at Lake of Isles. The whole team there is wonderful and they will take great care of you. Our wedding at Lake of Isles was nothing short of perfect! The deck out on the lake is breathtaking and the ballroom is beautiful. The food was incredible and the staff is phenomenal. Bethany is AMAZING. She was there from our very first call to set up a time to tour the venue to being there to help bustle my dress before our grand entrance at our reception. Bethany will keep you on track and organized and will be there for every question you have along the way. I could not say enough wonderful things about her. Bethany and the other staff at Lake of Isles truly made our experience so incredible. To have a gorgeous venue and knowledgable and sincere staff was the find of a lifetime. I could not recommend them enough!

We can’t say enough good things about our experience! Bethany, the Director of Catering, truly went above and beyond to make our wedding planning a dream. We got married on October 11 and literally not a single thing went wrong. Bethany, Fox and Cindy are a dream team. From our pre-wedding meetings I had no doubt in my mind the day would go amazing but it was executed flawlessly. We got so many compliments on the venue and especially the food. Everyone LOVED their dinners, and we had almost 200 people. I really can't say enough good things about the entire wedding planning process from start to finish.

We found Lake of Isles by accident and let me tell you it was a WINNER. We were looking for two things for our venue...outdoor ceremony near water...Lake of Isles accomplished both of those. Bethany & Fox were amazing to work with and 10000% percent would recommend this location to anyone looking for a venue in Southeastern CT.

The team here of Bethany, Cindy, and Fox cannot be beat. They are seriously the most incredible people. They are on top of emails, requests, concerns, needs and wants, I cannot say enough great things about them and this facility! We were so happy having our wedding here and they worked so hard to make sure it was the most perfect day! Wether it was Bethany running with an umbrella to make sure our violinist was covered during our ceremony, making sure we could still have it outside, making sure we were eating and staying on track during the reception, the team was just amazing. Cindy made sure we were fed incredible food and drinks all day long even when we weren't in the reception hall! She made sure that even during family photos, being hid away in rooms away from the party, that we had food and beverages and were well taken care of the entire night! I couldn't recommend this place more. If you want incredibly people to work with and a beautiful wedding venue then you should choose lake of isles.

My husband and I got married at Lake of Isles 9/22/23 and it was seamless! The entire wedding planning process from start to finish was made so much easier because of Bethany, she is extremely responsive, helpful, and on top of everything. Even though she is assisting with multiple weddings at once, she makes it feel like your wedding is her main focus which was amazing! We knew our own ending was in great hands. Come wedding day it was no surprise that it went off without a hitch due to Fox, Bethany, and their team at this venue. The food came out quick and was delicious, the decorations were all in place, and it felt like we were truly taken care of the entire night. On top of this, the venue itself is beautiful from the outside space to inside. Cannot recommend this venue enough!

There are not enough words to describe how much we loved Lake of Isles as the venue for our wedding, but also for our day after brunch. Bethany was a joy to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. We picked the venue in Oct 2021 and got married in June 2023, so to be so attentive even a year and a half out is truly amazing! We had our ceremony on the lake front deck, the cocktail hour in tavern, and reception in the Pequot ballroom so there were a lot of moving parts and people (with a wedding party size of 18 total!) On the day of the wedding Bethany and Fox helped make the day go smoothly. Cindy, our attendant, made sure we were well taken care of, and they all were great working with our big wedding party. The whole Lake of Isles team and staff could not have done a better job! They made the process of planning a wedding a dream. They are experienced, knowledgeable, attentive, and courteous of your time and ideas. They ensured we got to try everything by even bringing all of the hors d’oeuvres we may have missed at the cocktail hour, plated for us during the reception. The food was delicious from the cocktail hour to the reception and the day after brunch in the tavern. We will miss working with them now that our wedding is over and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a wedding venue in CT. For anyone looking for a venue look no further because this is the place to be!

Planning a wedding is very stressful but Bethany and Fox helped to make our day great!! There were hiccups on my end with the planning process but there was leniency and support to get us all on the same page! Day of wedding I had no worries as they set all decor up for you and package it as well after! I am considering having another event there as it was a beautiful environment with helpful staff that were positive through it all! Throughout the night we also had our own server support to make sure my husband and I were situated and content the whole night!!

We got married at Lake of Isles on 11/3/2023 and cannot recommend this venue enough. The entire process, from our initial meeting to picking up our decorations they day after, was completely seamless. We were immediately comfortable and confident that Lake of Isles was the venue we wanted to get married at upon meeting Bethany at our initial meeting. She is personable, organized and so kind. She was an amazing resource throughout the planning process and couldn't have imagined working with anyone else. Fox, who was the event coordinator, was also so amazing. He was organized, professional and kept the event on schedule to ensure we had maximum time on the dance floor. The pricing was so fair for everything that was included - from the open bar to our wedding cake, everything was included in the per person price - it was truly a full package that took so many steps out of the planning process. We had such an amazing time.

We got married at Lake of Isles on 10/28/23. The entire planning process from day 1 has been extremely easy and seamless. We had 167 guests and this venue was absolutely perfect for a wedding of this size & then some. We got married out on the lake front deck and it was absolutely stunning. The pricing is EXTREMELY fair for what is included. Guests under 21 were a lesser price even with having the adult meal option. Bethany, the behind the scenes coordinator of it all was so extremely helpful and knowledgable while we were planning our wedding. During our first meeting with her I knew I didn't want to plan a wedding with anyone else. She made so many helpful suggestions, and was extremely communicative through it all. The wedding package is priced per person but includes so much more than just their food & drink. It includes 1 night free at Foxwoods in a suite room, delicious wedding cake, set-up & breakdown of all personal decor items, linens, & MORE! The pricing of this venue was very appealing & I seriously could not imagine getting married anywhere else. Fox, our day-of coordinator who also helped with the rehearsal was so kind and made me as a very nervous bride feel very calm & relaxed. I pray a friend of ours can get married here just so we can come to a wedding here again. The food was excellent & the timeline of a sit down dinner was so perfect. Other venues I have been a guest at go way slower for seated dinners, so I was VERY pleased with the service. If you get married here, you will NOT regret it.

We tied the knot at Lake of Isles on 10/20/23, and our experience was absolutely incredible. We couldn't be happier with the entire planning process and how our wedding day unfolded! Bethany played a pivotal role, offering exceptional assistance with warmth and unwavering responsiveness. She took the time to get to know us, putting us completely at ease. We genuinely believe we received more than our money's worth.

We were on the lookout for a venue that offered a comprehensive array of services, so we could minimize the number of vendors and locations we needed to manage. At Lake of Isles, we managed our rehearsal dinner, first look, portraits, ceremony, and reception—all under one roof. Additionally, they handled the catering and the open bar. The package even included a wedding cake, with a choice of a few bakeries, a feature we truly appreciated. Bethany guided us through all the intricate details, helping structure our day. Fox was exceptional in running our rehearsal and ensuring a seamless wedding and reception.

The venue itself is nothing short of stunning. We had our first look and portraits on the picturesque bridge. I had my heart set on an outdoor ceremony on the deck, and I was quite nervous when I saw rain in the forecast the week of our wedding. When I inquired about the process for deciding on an indoor ceremony due to inclement weather, Bethany assured us that they work closely with the DJ and make the call as late as possible. Fortunately, we were able to have our ceremony outdoors, and I was moved by the sight of the staff diligently wiping down chairs on my way to the first look. It couldn't have been a more breathtaking backdrop for our ceremony.

The evening flowed seamlessly, and we received numerous compliments on the timing of events, from the cocktail hour to the dance floor opening. For those with a larger guest count, I strongly recommend hosting the cocktail hour in the tavern downstairs. Initially, we weren't planning to, but I'm so glad we did. It offers more space than the foyer and boasts a lovely patio area. The ballroom is both spacious and gorgeously designed. With around 170 guests, the floor plan they devised made the room feel full but not overcrowded. They truly have a knack for orchestrating events here. And let's not forget the food—we received countless compliments, with many guests dubbing it the best wedding cuisine they've ever had. We were also treated to a delightful pre-wedding tasting experience.

It's worth mentioning that the venue went above and beyond to accommodate our older guests and those with mobility issues. They have an elevator on-site, and they even transported guests down to the deck in golf carts as needed.

When the night concluded, the staff efficiently packed up and handled the breakdown, including our decorations and cake topper. The following day, when we went to collect our belongings, we were pleasantly surprised to find that they had also packed up our leftover items. We wholeheartedly recommend Lake of Isles!

We were married at Lake of Isles on 8/18 and it was an overall perfect day! I’m sad our whole planning process is over because we honestly loved working with Bethany and the LOI team.
Bethany is top notch and is completely on top of the planning process leading up to the big day. She is fantastic at what she does.

From start to finish our day ran SO smoothly. We loved having the suite to get ready in at Foxwoods and having a hotel room block at Foxwoods for our guests.
Good choices and quality were great and portions were large. We added in the ice sculpture/vodka luge for cocktail hour and that was a big hit with our guests.
Overall, not only is Lake of Isles a stunning venue— it also offers top notch quality and customer service for your big day!

Every aspect of this venue and its team are everything you want for your event. It's a beautiful venue, with gorgeous views and the team there is the best you will find. They are experienced, knowledgable, attentive, and beyond that just incredible kind and wonderful people. We got married here in April and there is not a single aspect of planing, ceremony, reception, or wrap up that we feel could have been done better. They have very comprehensive pricing and packages that make it easy to understand what you get and can be tailored to fit any budget. We also found their vendor list (which you do not have to use) to be extremely helpful and really loved our photographer and florist. Picking this venue honestly made everything easy, we truly had an extremely wonderful time and don't think we would of had the same experience anywhere else or with any other team of people

Bethany and Fox from Lake of Isles were what made our wedding day "perfect", which was the word from the day from many guests and family, and of course my husband and I. We worked with them over a long engagement in the span of 2 years, and the entire time they were extremely efficient with communication and made everything seem so easy. We reached out randomly with questions and requests for tiny details to make our wedding our own over that span, and every time we were met with enthusiasm and ease of change. The day-of we had a wonderful attendant who was always there to get us water or joke with us in the bridal area when we needed to cut tension after the ceremony (she even helped my bridesmaids with the bustle!). The ceremony and the reception were perfectly seamless, and many guests remarked on how that was "the best wedding food" they ever had, including a few vegans who remarked that other venues they have been to tend to have the vegan dish as throwaway but that Lake of Isles really cared about making a great dish. I would work with them again and again. My wedding was perfect because of them. Thank you guys for everything

We would highly recommend this absolutely gorgeous venue. Affordable pricing! Bethany was absolutely amazing to work with to help us plan our wedding! Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was at our wedding and how beautiful the venue was. Their preferred vendors list is full of vendors who are masters in their jobs. On the day of Fox and Cindy made us feel like absolute royalty! We seriously did not have to worry about anything other than enjoying our day! The team at Lake of Isles truly made our day unforgettable!

There will never be enough words to describe how much we loved Lake of Isles as the venue for our entire wedding day. From the ceremony on the dock to the reception in the Pequot Ballroom, it was by far the best day of our lives.

Bethany, Fox and the team at Lake of Isles could not have done a better job in the 13 months it took to plan this wedding. From touring the venue for me via Zoom as I was living in Hawaii, to helping remove grass stains from my dress before the ceremony, there is no better wedding coordinator than Bethany. I was always told this position solely looks out for the venue itself, but Bethany always had our best interest in mind and wanted to achieve what we envisioned. She could not have made this process easier.

Bethany really gave us room to make this wedding our goal with little customizations here and there. The most fun being instead of doing a wedding cake, their bakery made us a tiramisu, our favorite dessert! My now-husband was deployed and out of contact most of the planning and I don’t think I could’ve planned our day without Bethany’s guidance.

The venue is beyond stunning, especially in the Fall and our guests could not stop taking pictures because they loved it so much.

The food was incredible from cocktail hour to the dessert. There was something for everyone and we appreciated how many options they had. Their staff, especially our attendant Abby, ensured we got to try everything, especially since we missed most of cocktail hour due to taking many photos. We never were without something we wanted.

I can’t think of a better place to have a wedding. Lake of Isles as it all! I can’t wait to go back and visit and this place will always hold a special space in our hearts.

I cannot say enough phenomenal things about Lake of Isles. It will forever hold a special spot in my heart given the amazing experience my (now) husband and I had during the planning process with Bethany. The Lake of Isles team is truly something special. We had a flawless experience from our initial correspondence all the way to and through our wedding day. Bethany is the most responsive, communicative, thoughtful, sincere, and dedicated professional I've ever met and had the pleasure to work with! She truly cares about each and every detail that goes into a wedding and she makes sure that they are all attended to. We had the most perfect, magical fall wedding day and the energy was positive and light! Our guests are still complimenting us on our choice of venue for the scenic areas, the view, and the bright space. The food was absolutely delicious, our signature drinks were a hit, and our wedding party (which was very large in numbers) fit beautifully in and around the space. I already miss our wedding day for so many reasons, but the biggest one being how we felt in that space and on that day. Lake of Isles was the BEST decision we made! It was everything we could have asked for and more. The ballroom is beautiful and the lakefront deck was such a perfect spot for our day. Bethany is an absolute dream to work with and one of the reasons we picked Lake of Isles! From start to finish, she was always there to answer any questions we had, made sure our day went absolutely perfect and helped us with literally anything we needed. She made such a great connection with us and we truly can’t thank her enough. Bethany also was our day of coordinator and the day went so smoothly and was absolutely perfect, all thanks to her! The staff is so lovely and attentive. From the waitstaff, to the bartenders, and everyone behind the scenes… they really did a phenomenal job!! The food was amazing and our guests still rave about it. I highly recommend Lake of Isles, there’s sooo many good things to say about them, you truly won’t regret it!

Stop what you're doing...visit and book this venue now! My husband and I could not have asked for a better venue, day and team at Lake of Isles!
We actually did not have a formal visit to Lake of Isles due to my husband and I's work schedules. My parents visited and met with Sheila (Director of Catering prior to Bethany). My parents had great things to say about the venue, so my husband and I ended up going there and walking around one afternoon. We knew once we got to Lakes of Isles, it was the venue we were supposed to get married at. It was a nice mix of being on the water which is what I wanted and the rustic feel that my husband wanted.

We booked this venue in 2019 with plans of a September 2020 wedding. When plans had to change, Bethany didn't even flinch and secured our September 2021 date for us. It was common for me to email Bethany at 11:00 pm with questions along the way and Bethany was so prompt in her responses back and happy to help with everything. Everyone needs a "Bethany '' in their wedding planning journey - truly could not have asked for a better person to help us along the way and truly make this journey and day so special for us! She made us feel like we were lifelong friends! Bethany was even our meteorologist on the day of our wedding. It was raining in the afternoon, and she came into the Bridal Suite and said if you are alright with pushing the ceremony for another 20-30 minutes, I think we can still do the ceremony on the deck. She does it all!

A year later, my husband and I are still getting compliments about the wedding from guests saying it was one of the best weddings they have been to and asking when we are going to get married again! :) The staff is absolutely wonderful - from the bartenders, wait staff, the Banquet Manager, our personal waiter/waitress - you can really tell they love their jobs. The food was amazing and of course the ice cream bar was a must! Honestly, we cannot recommend Lake of Isles and Bethany enough - it is the ultimate wedding venue!

My lake of Isles wedding review! I absolutely loved the lake of Isles as my wedding venue! In this review I will give my honest pros and cons on the venue, staff, food, ect. (If I could do my wedding over I would absolutely do it here again!)

The lake of isles staff-
pros: Bethany Arico and the entire lake of isles staff are absolutely positively the best staff in the wedding business! accommodating, amazing, attentive, listen to your wants and helps you figure out your needs and definitely not pushy. The staff here is top tier! You can tell they love their job! Honestly Bethany Arico is so on top of everything that it took all of my stress and worries away about things happening at the venue. And she was a major reason why we chose the lake of isles! Every other venue we went and checked out with a lakefront view was pushy and way overly priced. Bethany Was definitely one of those people you just will vibe with right off the bat, she is super organized and if you are like me, you definitely need that!
I also didn’t realize or forgot they gave me a day of coordinator Kyle which is such a bonus and he was Amazing!!! Kyle was super Attentive and talked you thru everything he even asked us and our parents if everything was good throughout our reception and or if we needed anything. Bethany and kyle are super personable people and you can tell they both love their jobs! Kyle and her made sure my diy decor was on point!! And everything I hoped for!
Cindy was also wonderful making sure everything went smoothly and giving us the best golf cart ride of our lives!!! Again I’ve never met such an amazing and talented staff!!!! They have one wedding a day so their attention is totally on your wedding and yours alone unlike many other venues in CT.
Cons: zero cons or critiques on the staff at the lake of isles. They are the best and honestly make you feel so welcomed! I hope you pick this venue based on how excellent they are because they will not disappoint and will truly make your wedding a magical, and stress free day! The staff is so so good and you can tell they always have your best interests at heart!


The Food - The food was very very very good! The hors d’oeuvres were really good and not skimpy! My little cousin Isaac who’s like 10 was like “man their service is good they just keep bringing me snacks!” The lake front deck was so beautiful for the cocktail hour! They give you a ton of food!! you get cocktail hors d’oeuvres, then an appetizer, then a salad, then your entree and then cake! If you leave this wedding hungry shame on you. Many of the guests absolutely raved about the food, we went with a stuffed shrimp and filet option. The vast majority said the filet mignon you could cut with a butter knife, and the stuffed shrimp were delish! The open bar was amazing and my guest loved the specialty drinks!
Cons: Food was great no cons!!!!!!

a constructive critique: It may be nice in the future if they offered a wedding Buffett package instead of just plated, But with Covid ect totally understand! They did an excellent job with the plated so sometimes its best to stick with what you know best! Overall I have absolutely no regrets with the food. It’s was amazing and It was very delicious and many guests said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding! I know it was the best I’ve ever had at a wedding!
We also held our rehearsal dinner the night prior at matches tavern downstairs of the lake of isles the food was amazing there as well!!!!

The venue-
pros- The venue was absolutely gorgeous!!!! Overlooking the lake was so beautiful! The lake front deck were you can hold your ceremony and cocktail hour was everything! They took all of my decor and truly made it the wedding of my dreams! Many of my guests said it was the best wedding and most elegant they had ever been to!!!! Thank you to my florist and the staff of lake of isles For making it the wedding of my dreams!

constructive critiques: I wish they would offer Or have a canopy or a clear gazebo over the lake front deck so even if it rained it guaranteed you have a separate spot for your cocktail hour. Luckily it was a beautiful sunny day for my day! but I was a tad anxious about the weather a week before. They do try their absolute best to make sure you have the cocktail hour outside. Which is awesome!
also this is something funny but I’m not the biggest fan of the curtains in the ballroom, they are not that bad, just one thing I would change, but when the lights are turned down and I had uplighting you really didn’t notice. I absolutely love the wooden ceiling, it made the area feel warm and luxurious and the curtain lights they offered for a small upcharge really gave off elegant wedding vibes!!!

constructive critique: They only have one vendor that they allow to hang string lights, Which is totally understandable, but if there was a way they can handle or have an upcharge for string lights ect over the Dance floor thru lake of isles and not a separate vendor that would be something I think most brides would really love to see offered In the future.

Closing remarks: the lake of isles was so beautiful! I totally loved having my wedding here if I could do it all over again I would 100% have it here again. All of my cons were more constructive critiques than cons in my opinion but if you are looking for a fun beautiful half inside half outside lake front wedding at a very reasonable price, and the best staff in the business and a stress free wedding this is the place for you! Being catholic means you can’t have a ceremony outdoors, but I love the look of nature in weddings, so being able to have my cocktail hour over a lake was really really beautiful and gave me that same feeling! overall the lake of isles gets a 5 star review in my book!!!! Thank you again to Bethany Arico , Kyle, Cindy and the entire crew at the lake of isles for making Matt and I’s day so perfect! You are all the best and deserve every single amount of praise!!!! Foxwoods Casino- having your wedding at lake of isles means that you will need to find accommodations for your guests if you and them are not from the area. Im really not going to go into much review on this review on the casino because that would not be fair to the wonderful lake Of isles. I was not impressed with the casino and their customer service, they could seriously take a lesson from the entire staff at lake of isles.

Lake of Isles was a dream venue for me and my husband. It felt like we stepped into a fairytale during the entire wedding process. We worked closely with Bethany, our point of contact, and she was prompt with communication, respectful of our wishes/needs, very knowledgeable of everything related to the venue and potential wedding concerns, and put us at ease for the entire year we were planning our wedding. Lake of Isles went above and beyond for our wedding - ensuring that they remained flexible with us every day up until our wedding and providing excellent service for both my husband and me and our guests. I can’t recommend lake of isles enough as a wedding venue. From the very beginning, Bethany was the best coordinator we could’ve asked for. They were considerate of our dietary restrictions and cultural traditions. On the day of, our coordinator and the rest of the staff were kind and considerate. We began planning our wedding 2 years ahead with Bethany. When we imagined having someone to correspond with and connect with at my wedding venue, we didn't even realize truly how Bethany could be any better. She was prompt in responding to anything I asked for, supported my family in all ideas and needs, and made connections with us that made us feel like we were lifelong friends! She is one in a million. We met Kyle (our day of coordinator) during our wedding week. He immediately took charge and ensured that everything would be as perfect as we planned with Bethany. And it was. He was consistently in every corner making sure the evening went exactly how we hoped. Especially making sure that my special 'man dance' went smoothly and located each participant with ease (not knowing a single one). Kyle was fantastic! For drinks, we got reviews of our bridal drink being the tastiest margarita they have ever had! And food came out delicious. We even got to take home the extra pizza and donuts from our evening enhancements. If we could throw a party at this venue annually we would. It was a superior experience and worth every penny.

My husband and I knew our wedding was going to be perfect because we were marrying each other, but somehow Lake of Isles (specifically, Bethany and Kyle) surpassed our vision of perfection. We booked Lake of Isles a year and a half before our wedding date, and for that entire time, Bethany answered all my emails with urgency and truly made me feel like the most important person she was talking to. Now more than ever, it is hard to find someone who truly wants to help you every step of the way. Bethany is the reason I was so calm about wedding planning, while I was hearing horror stories about wedding planning around me. Bethany gave me honesty and reliability, two important characteristics for any bride planning her wedding. She made everything enjoyable for us and we had full confidence that our wedding day was going to be everything we had wished for. On our wedding day, Kyle was our day of coordinator. If Bethany was our quarterback, Kyle was our running back and she handed Kyle our wedding like a football, and ladies and gentleman, it was a touchdown. Starting at our rehearsal, Kyle made sure we rehearsed our ceremony a couple times, three times to be exact, but that was exactly what we needed. On our wedding night, it was like second nature going through everything and we were able to focus on each other and have all the feels as we vow our lives together. Kyle had the confidence to guide us through the rehearsal and be there every step of the way on our wedding night. He knew exactly what to say and do to make everyone feel calm and for everything to run smoothly. I am proud to say we did not have one thing go wrong on our wedding night and that we owe to Kyle. He even made sure our parents were pleased with everything throughout the night and would ask them if they needed anything, which is something very important to us because this night was also about them. If we could do it again, we would chose Lake of Isles every time over and over again. We are not from around the area and everyone would ask us why we choose such a far venue, once they left our wedding, everyone understood what we saw in Lake of Isles. It is a special place that makes you feel like your wedding is the most important day to them, so if that is what you are looking for, look no further because this place delivers everything and more. We have all the love for Lake of Isles and have the privilege to give them our full recommendation.

Our wedding last weekend was perfect and that was in large part due to Bethany and her team. We started planning our wedding close to 3 years ago and between the pandemic and our chaotic life, planning this wedding should have been a struggle to say the least but Bethany was right there every step of the way. Answered every question we asked, answered every question we forgot to ask, suggested vendors, offered advice when needed and, most of all, was just a pleasure to work with. She's great at what she does and cares about her couples not just because it's her job, but because of who she is as a person. She's also got a stellar team around her. Kyle was our go to all wedding day long, Cindy went above and beyond to get us where we needed to go and the waitstaff/bartenders were on point the whole night. As a couple who work in the hospitality business, Bethany and her team are the dream team and you will be in the best hands. The food was great, the venue is beautiful and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect night to remember for the rest of our lives. We cannot thank Bethany and the team at Lake of Isles enough; they made our wedding planning easy, took care of all the set up and take down, and made the day happen without a hitch! The location is absolutely breathtaking and my now husband and I fell in love with the location upon first sight; Bethany made it extremely easy to jump on and say “yes” to getting married here. Throughout the whole process Bethany was always very responsive and transparent; we are so grateful to have had her on our team. Something that we really wanted was to get married outside and in the process of finding a place we knew we’d have to be happy with the alternative “just in case” - the ballroom is incredible and the giant windows help bring the outside in. When we first walked into the ballroom I turned to my now husband and told him “I’d be okay getting married inside if it was here.” Which was good because we got an unfortunately cold and windy/rainy day and the inside setup was perfect and made my guests very comfortable! The other big item that Lake of Isles takes care of is the catering; let me tell you this food is INCREDIBLE - I totally savored every bite! The whole day was absolutely perfect and we couldn’t have asked for better!

I cannot say enough about Lake of Isles!!!!!! Bethany, Kyle, and the rest of the staff went above and beyond for us. Bethany has been so incredibly helpful this past year and a half- she is so knowledgeable and answers your questions so quickly! She is one of the most genuine people and I seriously am so thankful to have had her throughout this process. Kyle was absolutely AMAZING as our day of coordinator and made our vision come to life. Not a single thing went wrong (and if it did I'm sure Bethany would never tell the bride ;) ). I had a last minute change the morning of the wedding and Bethany handled it like it was nothing! I am seriously in awe at how accommodating and genuine these people are. My entire family and our friends are still telling me how much they loved everyone at Lake of Isles! I really cannot say enough about the entire staff. I want to go back to Lake of Isles just to hang out with all of them again!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend them endlessly for any bride.

Lake of Isles is the best place to get married! Bethany and her team did everything in their power to ensure that we had the most amazing day. The whole wedding planning process was smooth and efficient. Bethany was communicative and answered all of my questions quickly. I did not have one single doubt that our wedding would not be perfect. The food was amazing and our guests still rave about the dinner options. The bacon table and pretzel bar were a huge hit! If you are looking for a spot in Southeastern CT to get married, LOI is the venue you want!

When my now husband and I got engaged, he told me he would visit the top 5 venues that I like (I had a pretty big list of place to check out). The moment I walked into Lake of Isles, it felt like our wedding, even though it was months and months (and then a whole pandemic) away. This was the second venue my husband visited with me and the moment he stepped inside he felt the same as I did the first time. This was our venue, and we both knew it! Picturing our entrance into the ballroom, how we would have it decorated, and the guests dancing the night away. The views are breathtaking from the outside deck, the ballroom is gorgeous, and the rustic fireplace at the entry is incredible. But what truly makes this place so magical is the staff. Bethany, Barbara, Cindy and all the staff that were there to help make our day so special. The staff was so professional, organized and so helpful. We couldn't have asked for a more marvelous place to have our wedding. Thank you Lake of Isles!

We got married on 11/6/21 and absolutely loved everything about our wedding at Lake of Isles. We met with the director of catering, Bethany,
and were immediately sold on the venue. She is so kind and knowledgeable, and helped us
throughout planning, answering all of our questions promptly. She even remembered and surprised my husband with a special drink request that he had mentioned at our first
meeting. The location is beautiful, and the packages they offer are all inclusive with food, bar, and cake as well as your choice of add ons which made planning a breeze. They also
offer a complimentary suite at Foxwoods for the couple (depending on the package you choose) and some golf perks. The day of coordinator, Barbara, was also a delight, and ensured that everything ran smoothly. I can not recommend Lake of Isles enough!

We were overwhlmingly satisfied with the staff, crew, venue, location and energy at Lake of Isles. It was the perfect choice for us as the wedding couple. Our guests had nothing but positive things to say about Lake of Isles afterwards. Everyone walked away with a great experience. Barbara and Cindy kept us on track ( and our wedding part too ! ) during the event. They couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful during the wedding. They made everything easy and fun with a smile. However, we can't doa review of our wedding and Lake of Isles without singling out the effort, patience, recommendations, attention to detail, and overall professionalism and kindness of Bethany Arico. Bethany was the main reason we chose Lake of Isles. From our first inquiry to the day after the wedding, Bethany made Lake of Isles the ultimate wedding destination for us. I’m not sure where to begin with my review of Lake of Isles. Lake of Isles hosted our wedding reception on December 4th, 2021. We could not imagine having our wedding anywhere but Lake of Isles! We had known for awhile that we wanted to have our reception at Lake of Isles, as we had gone to a wedding there prior, and it was the perfect venue. Little did we know that not only the venue was perfect, but the staff at Lake of Isles was also perfect. Lake of Isles was absolutely amazing through the entire wedding process. I cannot say enough kind things about Bethany, Barbara and entire team at Lake of Isles. They were extremely helpful from our first meeting and continued to be throughout the entire process. Bethany is everything you could ever ask for in a wedding planner. She is professional, extremely responsive, smart, friendly, and extremely organized. In addition, Bethany truly cares about the Bride and Groom and wanted our friends and family to have the best time. She truly wanted to make the day the most special for the bride and groom and will cater to just about any requests you may have.

Our guests had so many wonderful things to say about the beautiful venue, wonderful food, and amazing employees throughout the night! If we could do it all over again, we would choose Lake of Isles again and again!

Where to begin, Bethany is everything and more you will ever want and need in a wedding planner. She is incredible, responsive, friendly, smart, and super organized. My husband and I planned our wedding out of state and Bethany was there for every question we had, anything we needed, she was prompt, and thorough. Bethany is one of a kind and you will not be able to find someone better as Bethany is beyond the best!!!!! Further, Lake of Isles as a venue is so beautiful. We had our ceremony on the lakefront deck and it was breathtaking. The LOI crew set up everything perfectly. The reception was inside the ballroom, and wow it was beautiful and elegant. We cannot forgot to mention Barbara, Cindy, and Joe as they are amazing! Barbara and Cindy ensured everything during our wedding (before and after) ran smoothly and on time and they are also super sweet! Joe was our bartender and he knows his stuff! He is friendly and made sure everyone had a drink and was well tended to. Nevertheless, my husband and my family (as well as all of our guests as they have all said it was the best wedding they have been to) cannot express how amazing LOI is and how Bethany and the LOI crew make this possible. I wish I could give Lake of Isles, including Bethany and her team 10 stars!! Our wedding was in September 2021 when COVID restrictions were lifted, but potentially starting to come back, and Bethany was sure to keep us in the loop of what it meant for our wedding. When I had people unexpectedly back out, Bethany worked with me on the catering menu so that we can be sure we met food minimums while maximizing every dollar we spent.

The day of wedding support from Barbara and Melissa was paramount to helping us enjoy our day! Anything we needed or had questions on, both were right there with an answer. It really helped us be able to sit back and relax.

The food was absolutely delicious- our guests could not stop talking about it!

The venue (which included the lakefront deck for ceremony, Matches Tavern for cocktail hour, and upstairs ballroom for reception) was absolutely gorgeous and decorated with all our items exactly how we discussed at the final appointment before the big day.

Overall, I cannot say enough good things about the location, the venue itself, and the people that work at LOI! 10/10 would definitely recommend this venue to others!

We loved working with the Lake of Isles team. Bethany was our coordinator, and we couldn't imagine a better experience. She was honestly one of the biggest reasons we picked the location, as she was super organized, consultative, friendly, responsive, hospitable, and reliable. We booked the venue during peak COVID 2020, where there were so many rules/regulations up in the air, and she kept us informed - realistically, playing therapist, and constantly set our minds at ease. The day of support from Barbara, Cindy, & Joe was great as well. We felt very relaxed, at ease, and could just sit back and enjoy the evening. Joe was able to help us out the following day to collect all of our belongings. The food was delicious, and our guest raved about how tasty the cocktail hour raw bar was, as well as the main courses. We had a decent amount of dietary restrictions, and the staff/venue was extremely accommodating. The venue itself was beautiful inside and out - the ceremony on the lakefront, the cocktail hour at Matches Tavern, and the ballroom for the reception. Having golf carts and elevators for our older guests was definitely a huge plus. The entire day was amazing and went off without a hitch, and we definitely have the LOI staff to thank for that! 10/10 highly recommend!

We are so happy with our decision to go with Lake of Isles for our wedding! Planning during a pandemic was no easy feat, but once we chose LOI the team was so flexible, responsive, and helpful along the way. The location is beautiful, and so convenient with Foxwoods just down the road for accommodations, etc, but the location is so beautiful you'd have no idea the casino was so close! The food was great and Bethany, Barbara and the whole staff were so supportive through planning everything. I realize COVID has been a struggle for these venues as well, but LOI was so up front and accommodating, we could not have asked for more. Definitely look no further!

I can’t thank everyone at lake of isles enough. Especially Bethany, Barbara, and Cindy. The entire staff was incredible and they made the day absolutely perfect! From helping with the bustle of my dress, to putting pictures in frames for the memory table, to keeping us all calm during the planning during the pandemic. Everything was absolutely perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better day. I wish I could give more than 5 stars because they definitely deserve it. If you are on the fence definitely check out lake of isles for your wedding, you won’t be disappointed.

I am so happy that I went with Lake of Isles to have my wedding - married in October 2020. I first looked at them because of convenience - hotel, transportation, golf and it's a casino so lots of activities for the guests. I chose them because of the beautiful venue, options, and the staff was so amazing.
I was supposed to get married in April 2020 but due to covid it got pushed back to October. Bethany and team were so accommodating and helpful even with a crazy stressed out bride like myself. I could not have asked for more.
The wedding day went perfectly (covid aside) - food was so good, ceremony and reception room looked so beautiful and staff was so friendly. Guests are telling us that it was the best wedding they have been to.

Deciding to have our wedding at Lake of Isles, was easily one of the best wedding decisions we made (besides actually getting married). From start to finish, everything was handled with extreme care and organization. Sheila helped us along every step of the way with check in emails, due dates, ideas etc. She made us feel like we were her only guests (which we know they were completely booked) and that we were VIP!
On the date of our rehearsal and wedding, Bethany was assigned to help organize and tend to our every need. It was picture perfect! It was almost as if we received a wedding planner as part of our package! She even remembered our favorite drink, and when we arrived at the venue before the ceremony, whisked us away to have some alone time together and had our favorite beverage (espresso martini) waiting for us to enjoy. Throughout the day, she had all our cocktail hour apps brought to us, so we didnt miss out on anything, and often reminded us to take a step back and really enjoy the moment and each other. Lake of Isles truly made our event one to remember, and we will never forget how they treated us.

If I could give Lake of Isles 10 stars... I would! I cannot say enough good things about Lake of Isles, Sheila, and Bethany (and Melissa, our server!). Everyone was so incredibly attentive the entire night, and made our wedding more than we could have dreamed. Sheila was so easy to get a hold of the entire year+ leading up to our wedding, and kindly answered any and all emails. We loved working with both Sheila and Bethany, as they made the process so easy and smooth for us. Everything was absolutely impeccable. As Mother of Bride and as a retired Event Planner, to find a place whereby I could be a guest and ENJOY my daughter's wedding was top of my list! Sheila Graham (Dir of Catering) was exemplary from when we were shopping a venue through the Wedding Day. The Wedding was everything we hoped for! She listened to our needs and delivered. She knows the demands of weddings and is extremely organized, efficient and quick to respond, and a very savvy Director. Her right hand Banquet Manager, Bethany Arico, was mutually awesome! She took control and led the wedding party through all the motions - while always exercising a great sense of humor despite what challenges were handed her way. All our guests enjoyed themselves immensely and I received many compliments on the staff and everyone enjoyed the fine cuisine. Sheila and Bethany never missed a beat and they delivered just what I was seeking: the ability to relax and enjoy my daughter's wedding ... which I did immensely! The deck for the ceremony, Matches Tavern for Cocktails and the Ballroom for Reception all lent to an extraordinary and memorable wedding. "The Best Day of My Life" coming from my daughter was the testimony that Lake of Isles delivered everything we hoped for. We had an absolute blast as did all our guests thanks to the wonderful hospitality of the staff. Oh yes! We also opted to also hold our Rehearsal Dinner in Matches Tavern (at Lake of Isles) and it also was executed with professionalism and wonderful attention. We recommend Lake of Isles to anyone who is planning their wedding. Everything was amazing! The venue was set up just as we envisioned if not even better! Bethany and Sheila are an amazing team and they go above and beyond. We cannot thank the two of them enough, and truly felt like they were part of our family/friends during the whole wedding planning process. Everything was perfect! Sheila, the Director of Catering, is amazing. She was helpful and really took the time out to not only offer advice, but get to know us. We felt comfortable and truly welcomed the first day we visited Lake of Isles. We instantly knew this was the venue for us. Everything was seamless with Lake of Isles. Sheila was quick to respond to questions we had and took every question seriously, even if it was simple or silly. Bethany, who is in charge the day of, was wonderful in making sure everything went perfect the day of. She was great at organizing the wedding party and all formalities. We are still having guests who comment on how amazing the food was and the service of the wait staff. The staff was very friendly and really cared for everyone of our guests. This was a phenomenal venue with phenomenal folks to work with from the start. Sheila was fantastic in answering every single tiny question we had very quickly. She made us feel like we were the only wedding they were having in the coming year, which shows how helpful and valuable her guidance was to us. The team at Lake of Isles was so professional and understanding. Having Bethany as our manager on the day of was fantastic too! She kept everything calm and guided us the whole way. It really took the pressure off of my husband and I. The venue is gorgeous and everything is so professional and flawless. I will never forget how special our day at Lake of Isles was and I cannot thank Sheila, Bethany, and the team there enough. We still have so many guests telling us how much fun they had at our wedding. I would highly recommend this venue to any couples getting married in the future. You will be so happy with your choice!

The only way to describe our experience at Lake of Isles is perfection. I began planing my August 2019 wedding in January 2019. I thought it was nearly impossible to plan a wedding in 8 months but the team at Lake of Isles made it not only possible, but a true pleasure. From the beginning to the end, our wedding was even better than our wildest dreams. The director of catering, Sheila Graham, is truly exceptional. Her calm, poised, and professional demeanor impressed us upon our first interaction with her at our tour. She is extremely responsive and helpful. Sheila and her team were always one step ahead of us in predicting and fulfilling our every want and need. It seemed that whenever I spoke to Sheila, my stresses and worries with wedding planning just melted away. On our wedding day, Sheila was there to wish us well and turn over duties to the general manager, Chris, and head waitress, Melissa. Chris and Melissa were also exceptional at meeting the every need of both ourselves and our guests. Cocktail hour on the deck was absolutely beautiful. The food and drinks were presented perfectly and enjoyed greatly by our guests. From beginning to end, our experience with Lake of Isles was incredible. I highly recommend Lake of Isles to any couples looking for a venue.

We got married at Lake of Isles on May 26, 2019 and it was the most amazing day! Right from the first time we toured the venue we knew that this was where we wanted to get married. From the beautiful ceremony space with the outdoor dock right on the lake to the gorgeous ballroom with beautiful views from the windows. We had a large wedding with 180 guests and there was plenty of room to dance and plenty of seating. Sheila was an absolute dream to work with. She was always available to answer emails and phone calls throughout the entire process. She had great advice and information to help us shape our dream day. The food was delicious and we loved having the warm donut hole bar definitely recommend trying that if you can! There was plenty of food for everyone and our guests loved it all! Bethany our day of wedding coordinator was fabulous and on top of everything. She made sure the day ran smoothly and she even helped me fix my hair and fluff my gown before we walked into the reception. Sheila and Bethany had our rehearsal run so smooth and they went over every piece of the day with us to make sure they knew exactly what we wanted. It helped ease our minds because we could tell how much they cared about us and our wedding day. Lake of Isles truly gave us the wedding day of our dreams and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to have their wedding there. Greg and I can't thank you enough for helping make our wedding day one we will never forget!

We got married at Lake of Isles this past July 2018, and we had an amazing experience from start to finish. As soon as we walked in to visit the venue, we knew we were in the perfect place (we are also obsessed with how good it smells!). The deck and scenery, where we had the ceremony, is stunning, and the ballroom is so beautiful. We opted to have the cocktail hour at Matches Tavern which worked out perfectly, as guests could be inside or outside enjoying the weather.

We had a lot of guests coming in from Australia and from various other distances around the area, and the proximity and ability to coordinate with Foxwoods was very convenient. Everyone had a great time the whole weekend at Foxwoods for the rehearsal dinner (and various other shenanigans) and at Lake of Isles for the wedding. We even held a breakfast at Foxwoods the next morning, and with the Lake of Isles affiliation it was very easy to coordinate.

Working with Sheila made the wedding planning so easy. Sheila is responsive, knowledgeable and really just perfect; she was able to answer every question and make sure that we had to coordinate and remember as little as possible. On the day of the wedding, Bethany was there to make sure everything ran smoothly, and it absolutely did! (Brodie and I cannot thank you both enough.) I think both Sheila and Bethany are fantastic and the exact people you would want to help you plan your wedding. Everyone at the venue was amazing to work with, and we are honestly looking forward to the next time we can have or be at an event there. It's also important to mention that ALL of the food at Lake of Isles is fantastic.

I don't think i could ever put into words how amazing everything about this venue is!! not only is it BEAUTIFUL but sheila, bethany and the rest of the staff made everything PERFECT for us! This place is perfect in soo many ways.. outdoor and indoor ceremony possibilities, rustic/lodgey/elegant. Since it is next to foxwoods, accommodations for your guests are super easy!! Also the food was incredible! HIGHLY suggest to any future brides.

Lake of Isles is an exceptional wedding venue. Sheila and her team are the best in the game! I was married at LOI in October 2018. From when we first started the process a year prior, all the way to the day after our wedding, everything was handled efficiently, professionally, and without a hitch. Sheila, the director of weddings, is SO organized and on top of everything. She is responsive to emails at all hours of the day. I felt so confident in her and her team's abilities - and my wedding day could not have run more smoothly. My day-of coordinator, Chris, made sure that everything was PERFECT! His calming presence and ability to somehow keep our rambunctious wedding party in line and on time was amazing. Melissa, my go-to on wedding day, was so helpful as well. She made sure my husband and I had everything we needed - brought us appetizers during our post-ceremony photos, kept our drinks full, and even made us to-go boxes at the end of the night! I could not be more thankful to the whole LOI crew. As added bonuses, the food at LOI is SO good..got so many compliments on it! AND the lakefront deck where my ceremony was held made for an incredible view of the fall foliage. So happy I went with LOI. I highly recommend this venue to all future brides!

The back deck was stunning. Beautiful landscape and ideal for pictures. Sheila was extremely nice and very helpful. Only reason we decided not to go with them was we decided to have the Wedding in New Jersey.

We loved everything about Lake of Isles the moment we went to check it out. Not only is this a beautiful place to have a wedding but working with Sheila and Bethany made wedding planning a breeze. Sheila was so attentive and responsive to us with any question that we had during the planning process. Additionally since I was newer to the area she even helped suggest a wonderful minister for our ceremony. She helped to keep us organized and made us feel special about our day from start to finish. On the days leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding Bethany had such great attention to detail and she helped to make sure all of the different parts of the ceremony and reception ran perfectly. The staff at the Lake of Isles that worked during our wedding were all friendly and helpful to our guests. We have looked back and reflected on our wedding day and can't pinpoint anything that we would change in our experience at Lake of Isles. If you are looking for a wonderful wedding where your guests will enjoy themselves in a place that is all about celebrating you and only you on your day book Lake of Isles. I would book an event with them again in a heart beat.

Choosing Lake of Isles for our wedding reception was the best choice we made for our wedding. The staff at Lake of Isles is exceptional- Sheila was so helpful and organized during the planning process and the day of event manager Bethany made sure everything ran smoothly. The servers went out of their way to make our guests feel comfortable, we got multiple comments about how well servers took care of our guests. We had a number of guests with food allergies and Sheila and her team made sure everyone was accommodated throughout the entire meal. The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL and we have the most gorgeous pictures from our post ceremony photo session on the golf course. Our guests loved having cocktail hour on the deck overlooking the lake and the ballroom has windows all along the back wall for a beautiful view of the lake as well. The ballroom is large and open with very high ceilings. The team took care of all the day of decorating, I just had to drop off my labeled decorations a few days before, and they made everything look perfect. I can't say enough about the food, we had so many guests come up to us the next day raving about the food at the cocktail hour and reception. Everything was delicious and our server made sure my husband and I actually got to eat during the wedding! One of the best parts of the venue is that they only have one event each day so your wedding is their main focus and you don't have to worry about other events going on at the same time like you do with some hotels or banquet venues. Overall I highly recommend every aspect of Lake of Isles for an exceptional wedding!

We could not have picked a better venue for our wedding this past June. Lake of Isles exceeded all of our expectations. Both Bethany and Sheila made our dream wedding and vision come true! They were both so great and easy to work with. The deck was a perfect place for our wedding guests to enjoy cocktail hour. The tables and layout of the reception space worked well for all 230 of our wedding guests. The food was exceptional! The lake and golf course was an amazing background for all of our wedding photos. They also provided shuttle services for all of our guests back to foxwoods casino. Wedding guests can’t stop commenting on how great everything was! We were very pleased with everything at our wedding reception and wish we could do it all over again! It was the best day! We would definitely recommend Lake of Isles to anyone looking for a wedding venue..you will not be disappointed!

I cannot get over this place. They have wedding planning down to a T. I am so beyond happy to have gone with Lake of Isles for my wedding. Working with Sheila and her team was a treat. Professional, responsive and they execute your wedding better than what your mind could think of. Let's not forget, they make planning a wedding so easy!!! No detail is forgotten. I would do it all over again just so I can work with these ladies again.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to have our wedding than the Lake of Isles. We only had 6 months to plan our wedding and Sheila made sure everything was PERFECT! She was extremely flexible with us when picking out the menus and arranging the tables. The venue was perfect, we had a personal attendant that stayed with us all night and was very attentive and helpful throughout the day. The weather was great and we could have our Happy Hour out on the deck and then our reception inside. Sheila put us at ease the minute we started planning. She made me feel comfortable and didn’t let us stress over one thing! The food was amazing! We had a large wedding and everything from the passed appetizers to the antipasto station to the main dish and the late-night pizza, everything was just delicious! Beth also did a wonderful job of managing the reception into the late hours of the night. We had seen several other venues in the area and this one had everything we were looking for. They provided shuttles to the casino afterwards for all of our guests as well. I’d definitely recommend this venue to anyone who is looking to have a 5 star experience and service on their wedding day!

We had THE perfect wedding reception!!! Sheila helped us plan the wedding of our dreams!! Our friends and family couldn't stop raving about the reception. Between the food, venue and staff....they all said that it was the best reception they have ever been to. Bethany was also amazing. She went above and beyond. She was extremely attentive all night long and ensured we were aware of where/when things were taking place. We were also impressed with our bridal attendant. She made sure we had everything we needed all night long. The food (what we managed to eat) was incredible. Thank you Sheila and team for making our day picture perfect!

What an experience.....

Location/Facility:
The grounds are perfect for an indoor/outdoor wedding. Foxwoods is so convenient to get to, and a great place for your guests to have fun before and after the wedding, a lot of our guests stayed an extra night and made a long weekend out of it. The ceremony takes place on a large deck made for weddings overlooking the lake. We had or wedding in early October and the weather cooperated with us. Parking is easy, we had a shuttle running just for us in a loop between the casino and venue. After our ceremony we were whisked away to have photos done on the bridge overlooking the lake. Our guests were ushered through the stunning entry way adjacent a craftsman style study/library with stone fireplace. Our cocktail hour was in the reception hall, with vaulted exposed beam ceilings. After our photos we were brought into the bridal suite to await entrance into the party.

Planning Staff:
We had about 3 months to plan our wedding when we finally found this venue, we had seen some positive reviews but they weren't first on the list because we were apprehensive about a "casino" wedding. We called and were put in touch with Sheila and scheduled an early morning appointment to see the location. I haven't had any other experience with weddings, but I can't imagine anyone being more pleasant, professional, and competent at their job. We knew it was the place fairly quickly and signed our contract that morning. We communicated with Sheila no fewer than 2 dozen times over the next few months, by phone and email she responded quickly. She helped us get everything in order, offered advice based on her experience, and really just became our friend, it was a surprising experience.

The day before we were introduced to the General, Bethany. Any minor doubts we had about the logistics of the wedding day wen out the window. Flawless execution, manner, and organization.

My husband and I got married at Lake of Isles on 11/4/17. From the start of our planning to picking up our decorations the day after our wedding, everything was amazing. Sheila was super responsive, no matter what small or silly question we had. She helped us so muchthroughout, making our planning significantly less stressful. We met Bethany the day before, and quickly realized she would be a large part of the reason our day would stay stress free so we could simply enjoy it. The day was beautiful, the food was awesome, and our guests are still raving about the day. We could've gone with venues closer to home, but nothing was comparable. The location, ambiance, and staff are all wonderful. I would 100% recommend Lake of Isles to anyone who wants a fabulous, stress-free wedding day! Thanks to Sheila, Bethany, and the whole staff!

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at Lake of Isles on June 10, 2017 and I still can’t stop ranting and raving about how amazing the staff was. Five stars just isn’t enough for this venue, the staff and the food! We loved that the venue has only one wedding a day – this allowed for a more intimate feel that the day truly was our special day. We were overly impressed with both Sheila and Bethany – these two ladies have such a love and passion for what they do. Sheila was amazing during the whole wedding planning process and made it a breeze! She was extremely responsive and answered all my questions to ensure no detail got lost - she was extremely organized and detail oriented which I loved! We were also so happy Bethany was there to help with our wedding the day of – she made sure every little detail was absolutely perfect based on what we discussed in our final appointment. She went above and beyond our expectations and made sure everything was taken care of and the day went off without any issues! She was extremely attentive all night long and ensured we were aware of where/when things were taking place. We were also extremely impressed with Melissa, our bridal attendant, who also took care of us during the night. We had our ceremony out on the deck overlooking the water and our cocktail hour down in Matches. Every bride hopes that the vision in her head comes through the day of the wedding– well these ladies did a FANTASTIC job – I remember my mom coming up to me and saying ‘wait until you see the ballroom – it’s everything you’ve imagined and more.’ From the hors d'oeuvres to the entrees – the food was absolutely amazing! We've heard back from so many guests about how impressed they were with the staff, the venue and the food! We would highly recommend LOI to anyone!! A HUGE thank you again to the whole LOI staff for helping to make our day absolutely perfect – words truly cannot describe how grateful Kyle and I are!

When we came back, Sheila and Bethany met us again with a plate of appetizers to snack on before we headed in to greet our guests! It was something that may seem small, but to be able to take a few quiet moments and share a few laughs before the reception kicked off was just perfect. The level of service that LOI provides is exquisite. The staff is incredible, the food is out of this world and the venue itself is flawless! I am still receiving calls from family and friends raving about the food and the service they experienced at our wedding. Shiela, Bethany and the team at Lake of Isles made our wedding day everything we could have ever hoped! Planning prior to the wedding was made easy with Sheila helping every step of the way; no question was ever too silly and she jump at the opportunity to fulfill any requests we had. The day of our wedding went off without a hitch thanks a great deal to Bethany and her team. She made the day about us and our guests and was absolutely amazing to work with. For the décor, she was able to bring our vision to life and made it even better than I could have imagined, even adding a few touches of her own. She did an incredible job coordinating all the events and making sure they remained on time. Not to mention the food was top of the line, and the location and views are unbeatable! Lake of Isles made our wedding the time of our lives and our guests have had nothing but compliments for the whole night. We wouldn't change a thing if we were to go back and redo it!

Lake of Isles is beautiful - I think I will forever be disappointed that it rained on our wedding day and we didn't get to take advantage of the dock. BUT we had a beautiful indoor ceremony still overlooking the lake. From the beginning of the process, Sheila was amazing to work with (super communicative and fast with responses)! The transition to Bethany (day-of coordinator) was seamless. Bethany was on top of everything, from telling my bridesmaids how to best walk down the aisle, to ensuring the guests were smoothly moved from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception (all of our guests said it was the best coordination they have ever seen at a wedding!) And love that Bethany even dressed up in black and gold to match our Great Gatsby theme!!! And the food was fantastic - everyone kept complimenting it. Highly highly recommend!!! Lake of Isles created our dream wedding. Right from the very first meeting, my wife and I knew there was something special about Lake of Isles and the coordinator Sheila. She was extremely friendly and professional and it felt like we had known her for years. She was more than happy to build us a custom package for our reception. Throughout the entire planning process, Sheila was always quick to respond to questions and available whenever we needed her. The venue itself is beautiful. We had our ceremony on the dock overlooking the lake, the cocktail hour in Matches Tavern, and the reception in the large ballroom. Everything turned out even better than how we envisioned. Bethany is the day of coordinator and she is just as amazing as Sheila. She gave us direction during the rehearsal/day of the wedding and was able to keep us calm. During cocktail hour she attended to our family as we were taking pictures along with the server dedicated to the bride and groom. Our theme was nautical and Bethany went above and beyond with little details at the bar and our guest book table. The food was spectacular. All of our guests were so pleased with the selections at our stations (Asian display, pasta bar, carving station and Venetian table). Everything ran smoothly and it was all thanks to Bethany and Sheila. They are the best of the best and it was such a pleasure getting to work with them to create the wedding of our dreams at Lake of Isles. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sheila and Bethany at Lake of Isles! When looking for a venue, it was very important to my husband and I that we could feel at ease with the wedding planners and coordinators. After looking at nearly 10 venues, we finally found that in Sheila. Sheila is absolutely wonderful to work with. She responds very quickly to all emails and phone calls and really made me feel at ease during the planning process. She is very organized and was great in accommodating all of our special requests. Bethany, the day of coordinator was phenomenal. She kept the day running smoothly and on time, and helped to keep me calm when I was having issues with my dress. She even jumped in and helped to fix my dress when it kept coming undone. The only complaint we heard from guests was that one of the bartenders was rude and they left a tip jar on the counter when it should not have been. But the venue is gorgeous, it combines majestic views of a golf course and a lakefront atmosphere which makes for a great background for photos. The food was amazing, especially the filet mignon. Sheila, Bethany, and the other wait staff truly made the day stress free. We would definitely recommend Lake of Isles. Our guests continue to compliment us weeks later that it was one of the nicest weddings that they had ever been to, and we thank the staff at Lake of Isles for that.

Perfection! From the first moment to the last. Sheila the catering director is responsive, flexible, offers great options, and her orginzational skills are out of this world! Chris who ran the day of made the venue our vision picture perfect! Melissa catered to us the day of making sure we were always content. Our wedding reception at Lake of Isles was beyond perfect. I can't say enough about how extraordinary our experience was. We began planning a little over a year in advance and found that of all the venues we considered, Lake of Isles had the best price for a guest list of 200. We had a wonderful tour and later attended an event to sample cakes, appetizers, and meet other vendors. All throughout the planning process, Sheila (Director of Catering) was fabulous. I would send an email with a question on a Sunday night and get a response within hours. She was always courteous and professional. No question was too insignificant for her to address.
The day before our wedding Sheila, Bethany, and other friendly staff members helped us set up our centerpieces (made out of books for a literary theme wedding). We brought multiple items, including family photos, and nothing was lost in the shuffle.
Our wedding was August 19, 2016. While the bridal party was taking pictures, the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the beautiful deck. The food was delicious and Lake of Isles accommodated my Polish family by adding kielbasa to the appetizer list for us. They also found a specific mixer that my mother had requested and a waiter scurried down from the reception hall to the deck with a bottle so my mother could have her preferred drink.
Guests raved about the food. We selected the prime rib, free range chicken breast with artichokes, and a stuffed mushroom vegetarian option. Lake of Isles was very accommodating to guests who had special dietary needs, like vegetarians, vegans, and people with gluten and nut allergies. They provided alternative salad dressings and desserts to guests who could not enjoy the Caesar salad or cake. One guest in particular raved about the coffee! My husband and I had a waitress especially for us. She made our experience stress-free. All staff members were courteous, helpful, and professional. Our day was truly amazing!

Absolutely incredible! Our day went perfectly thanks to Sheila and Bethany! I could not have asked for a better group to plan my wedding with. Sheila was prompt with emails, never made me feel like a burden, and made me feel truly special. I cannot say it enough, Lake of Isles was the absolute perfect place! We did not get to enjoy our food at the reception, but the staff wrapped it up for us to take home. Even a day later and heated up in the microwave; perfection! Lake of Isles was a perfect wedding venue. My husband and I could not have been happier with the staff, location, and overall experience. Sheila, the coordinator, was so amazing and helpful. Anytime I had even a small question, Sheila always got back to me within 24 hours. She went above and beyond anything I could have imagined and she eased all of my stress about the big day. During the rehearsal and on the day of, Bethany was so nice, calming, and organized. The rest of the staff was amazing as well, so kind and helpful to anything that myself, the bridal party, or any guest needed. They were able to anticipate what everyone needed before we even had to ask.
We had our ceremony on the lakefront deck and it was beautiful. All of the food during the cocktail hour and reception was delicious and we are still hearing ravings about the food from our guests. The staff also made sure that my husband and I were actually able to eat during the busy day. Our reception in the ballroom was beautiful and Bethany and the staff were there to make sure the evening went off without a glitch.
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and we could not have imagined a better day. I am so glad that we chose Lake of Isles for our venue and HIGHLY recommend it to everyone.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! I honestly do not have any negative things to say about having my cocktail hour and reception at Lake of Isles. Sheila was incredible in helping plan out how everything was going to go. She was so knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating. She always got back to me so quickly and never seemed to be getting annoyed when I would ask her question after question. She was on top of everything. And Bethany was absolutely incredible day of. I met her at a final meeting, and she was reviewing all the details and how everything would go and seemed very on top of her game. At the wedding she was very visible, always available if we had a question, and very flexible. She never seem flustered and just made sure whatever we wanted/needed happened. The venue was also beautiful, the food was great, and they were very accommodating for special meal needs (gluten free, dairy free meals). They also had golf carts available to drive guests down to cocktail hour, and there was a shuttle that brought us back to the Foxwoods at the end of the night. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. It is pricier than other venues, but in my mind it was worth every penny. I had no worries about anything going wrong there. And I had a perfect day!

From the very beginning with our first tour of Lake of Isles, to the day of the reception, everyone was courteous, professional, and organized. Sheila takes you through every step of the wedding reception process and never made it feel like a chore. We got engaged in March, and married in November, so we had a shortened time line, but we never felt rushed or disorganized because Sheila was always there to remind us of the next step.
We met with Sheila and Bethany, the catering manager who was present during the reception, the day before the wedding, and they had everything done for us! It was a completely stress free meeting where we sat and chatted about the day's events.
The day of the wedding, we had no complaints. Everything from the setup of the band to the last dance ran smoothly.
The food at Lake of Isles was amazing. We ordered the Filet Mignon and the chicken, and many people said that it was the best steak that they had ever eaten.
The bartenders (we had an open bar) were quick with the drinks and easy to talk to.

We had an amazing time at Lake of Isles. The facility was gorgeous, and looked exactly as it did in the pictures online and in brochures, unlike several other venues we were considering. Sheila is an amazing coordinator--always on top of deadlines and very patient. The food was delicious--several guests commented that they could tell the chefs put effort into selecting high quality ingredients and cooking times for the steak, in particular. The staff was very helpful the day of the wedding. Lake of Isles also has an association with Foxwoods, across the street, which provided extra entertainment for our guests. Highly recommended!

I cannot say enough good things about Lake of Isles and their staff. Sheila was wonderful throughout my whole planning process. Bethany was present for my rehearsal and throughout my wedding, and I couldn't ask for better company and direction. I am truly grateful for my experience and planning a wedding was not my idea of fun. I have a full time job and not a ton of time and honestly no idea how to plan a wedding. Thankfully Sheila helped me throughout the whole process and my wedding couldn't have been more perfect. The venue is gorgeous and it will be a day I will never forget, especially cause it was perfect!

Lake of Isles was the last venue we looked at – and at the time we are almost set on another option. However, all of our other options weren’t quite right. Then we went to Lake of Isles, and we knew that was where we would get married. I’ve lived in Westerly, RI my entire life and never knew this place existed. It is GORGEOUS! You will fall in love as you drive up, and everything just keeps getting better and better.
The location is stunning, You will get married on a large deck overlooking a lake – or if you choose to get married elsewhere this is where you will have cocktail hour. Then you will have your reception in a large ballroom overlooking the water. The entire place is perfect.
However, the real gem of Lake of Isles lies in Sheila and Bethany. Sheila is the Director of Catering and your go to woman throughout the entire planning process. She never takes more than 24 hours to answer an email (typically responding within the hour) and never makes you feel like you are asking a stupid question. Sheila is also really helpful when you need advice. Bethany is your on site coordinator the day of your wedding. In addition to being really nice, she is super organized! At the final meeting the week of the wedding you’ll sit down with both Sheila and Bethany and they will walk you through the day. We left feeling like nothing could go wrong. (And it didn’t!)

Fun story – one of our guests split the zipper on her dress at the wedding. Bethany offered our friend her own dress right off her back! She’s that amazing. (Luckily we had a sewing kit so a dress swap in the bathroom wasn’t necessary)

Flawless! Sheila and Bethany had everything covered. They were fun, energetic, accommodating and very creative. The room looked spectacular and the food/drink was top shelf. If they saw a line at the bar, another bartender came to help out! They put our mind at ease for transporting guests back/forth to the various hotels. They were so organized and thoughtful in displaying our "themed props" around the room and then carefully packing them all up for us to easily pick up the next day. I truly appreciate all the time and effort they put in to making this such a special day for our family and friends. A class act from beginning to end!

Sheila and Bethany are the dream team. Everything about our wedding, every little detail, they treated as #1 importance. They honestly made you feel like they had no other wedding to concern themselves with except for yours. Everything was taken care of and we never had to worry about a thing! I could relax on our wedding day knowing they had it all under control. They were even so kind as to wrap up the rest of my meal and cake that I didn't get to finish so I could pick up the leftovers the next day! The venue is amazing, the staff are all so attentive, and all of my guests couldn't stop telling me how great the food was. Plus, even with nearly 200 people, there was hardly ever a line at the bar which made everyone very happy. We are so happy that we chose Lake of Isles for our reception!

On May 23, 2015 we tied the knot at Lake of Isles. It was a wonderful experience at such a beautiful venue. We had our ceremony on the dock and it accommodated all of our guests comfortably. The lake and golf course provided a picturesque backdrop. The reception went off without a hitch and all of our guests had a great time. One of the keys to our successful wedding was the planning, dedication, and attention to detail that Sheila and Bethany put into our big day. Sheila was very well organized and inspired confidence throughout the whole wedding planning process. She was a major factor in us deciding to book this venue because we knew she was a true professional from the start. On the day before the wedding and during, Bethany ensured our day was on schedule and all the details were attended to. She epitomized competence and knowledge throughout the whole process and it allowed our wedding to run smoothly.

After having just about a month now to reflect on the event and hearing feedback from many of our guests, one of the major comments was on how fantastic the food was. We have to agree. The passed o'dourves were numerous and timely. Additionally, the main courses our guests ordered (filet mignon and free-range chicken) were to their satisfaction and very well received. The cake was wonderful, elegant and delicious as well as our additional chocolate fountain.

We would highly recommend this venue to any couple considering it. The close convenience to Foxwoods enabled us to turn our wedding day into a wedding weekend. Many of our guests stayed at the casino or the Hilton and all had an easy time arriving and departing from Lake of Isles. We’re so grateful to have had this top-notch experience. Lake of Isles was the perfect place for our perfect day and we will cherish it for the rest of our lives!

Lake of Isles was the most perfect venue for our wedding. We fell in love with the decor of the ballroom, the setting of the lake front deck and the overall atmosphere. From our very first meeting, we felt like we were part of the family. Sheila, Bethany and their staff provided the most exceptional service and we cannot thank them enough for making our day so special!! Plus, with Foxwoods being across the street, it makes it such an enjoyable little getaway for you and your guests!

Our wedding reception here was for us, perfect. Sheila was responsive, professional and knowledgable in the planning phase of the wedding. She also truly cares about her clients and made us feel as though we were the only bride and groom she was working with. During the wedding, the staff were a delight. They were experts in what they did as well but also made us feel personally welcome and special. The food is delicious and we had so many people come up to us with compliments. The steak was so tender that they serve it with a butter knife. The acoustics in the room were also great and we had a wedding DJ/drummer (343 Productions -- VERY highly recommend them too!) who sounded great.

Perfect example - when a torrential downpour hit unexpectedly during our cocktail hour Bethany got everyone inside, had hairdryers circulating and people laughing within about 10 minutes. What could have been a disaster turned into a hilarious memory for all of our guests. Trust me - you want to work with this team!

Lake of Isles is a gorgeous location with a top notch staff. Sheila was extremely organized and helpful throughout the entire planning process. The day of, Bethany was friendly and flexible and pulled everything (including a photo slideshow and video) without a hitch. I knew that we would get the best service from hearing other reviews, but I also didn't realize how extremely personable the staff was. They made us feel like we were the only wedding they had booked the entire year :) If you're looking for an amazing staff, clean and beautiful location and some of the best wedding food you will EVER have - then Lake of Isles is your spot!

Lake of Isles was absolutely amazing. Both my sister and I were married at Lake of Isles because of the gorgeous venue, incredible staff, beautiful outdoor cocktail hour setting, and the incredible grounds. My wedding was the most incredible day and it would not have been the same if I had not trusted Lake of Isles to host my event!

I could not have been happier with our choice of the lake of isles! Everything was perfect from the ceremony to the cake to the reception. Everyone that I had the pleasure of working with was so professional and made sure our night ran smoothly!

From the first day we visited Lake of Isles, my husband and I loved everything about the venue, from the beautiful lakefront deck where we later held our ceremony, to the bright and open reception room, to the pristine golf course where we took many of our pictures. Sheila was extremely professional from our first meeting and throughout the planning process. She always responded to my emails quickly and in great detail, no matter how many random questions I had for her. On the day of the event, Bethany took charge and made sure that everything went smoothly. We didn't have to worry about a thing, which was exactly what we wanted. The food and cake were a priority for us, and they were both excellent. We decided to get a couple of extras, including ice cream truffles to accompany our cake and late night pizza/burgers--both were big hits. Many of our guests have told us that ours was the best wedding they had ever been to. From the food to the staff to the atmosphere, we would highly recommend Lake of Isles for a beautiful wedding day!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Lake of Isles in North Stonington, CT on Sunday August 31, 2014 at 5:30pm. We had our ceremony on the outdoor deck near the lake and our cocktail hour and reception in the gorgeous banquet hall. All I can say is that the evening was as perfect as it could possibly be. The weather held out for us and the pictures we got on the deck and then on the golf course are breathtaking. Our guests raved about the food (we offered the filet mignon and stuffed shrimp) and full open bar. Sheila was a great sales woman and answered all of our questions promptly. Bethany the event coordinator was amazing and really made the event spectacular. She kept everything on time, lead a wonderful rehearsal and made sure that the bridal party was taken care of at all times. Please take a look at the Lake of Isles if you are planning a wedding. You will love it!

Can't say enough great things about this venue so will try and keep this short. We had other venues in mind and from the start weren’t happy with the lack of responsiveness. As soon as we spoke with Sheila we were impressed. We went and saw LOI for the first time and decided not even to look at other venues.
From day 1 when we called to inquire about the venue we noticed the professionalism and enthusiasm from Sheila. This continued throughout our time working with her up until the wedding. She responded to any call or email in a timely manner and was always able to answer our questions. She was able to find times to meet with us when needed despite our busy schedules it always worked out. We cannot say enough good things about Sheila.
Along with the great service we received throughout, the venue is beautiful and the food is amazing! We had great feedback from all of our guests about the venue. A couple perks for us is everything was handled in house so everything we did (cake, food, ceremony) went through Sheila. Cake came out perfect, both visually what we imagined and also tasting amazing. We also received a complimentary round of golf for the 2 of us with the package. It was a great day and added to the time we were able to spend with our families & wedding party.
We HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone thinking of getting married!!!

I would reccomend the Lake of Isles to anyone planning a wedding. I had my fairytale wedding. The staff were professional, proficient, and very organized. The lake ceremony was perfect and the reception was beautiful. Sheila Graham made the planning process so easy as was organized and always available for questions. The cake and food were delicoius. I got so many compliments of how smooth the wedding was. :)

My husband and I got married at Lake of Isles on August 9 , 2014 it was perfect!! I called and spoke to this enthusiastic lady on the phone named Sheila Graham ..We ended up being late for an hour for some reason which was so embarassing because we aren't like that and it's not really a good first impression however Sheila was very nice and understanding. She walked us throughout the property and we fell inlove with the venue. Sheila was a big part of us booking the place. She made it soo easy because she was fun, energetic and professional at the same time . We knew that moment it is the perfect place! We booked it the same day. Sheila walked me through the whole process of planning my wedding . I would email and call her atleast 3 times a week about silly questions I had and she would respond immediately... She gave me vendors that she knew that's as fabulous as her and will deliver an excellent job. On our wedding day Bethany the assistant was with me the whole time and made sure everything runned smoothly. Bethany was there along with Sheila the moment I stepped out of the car , walked down the isle , cater to my wedding party while we were taking pictures.. passing hors d'oeuvres , drink or anything that we needed . Our wedding night was absolutely PERFECT !!! Our guest kept coming to my husband and I giving us compliment about Lake of Isles.. They said the place is beautiful , the service is excellent and right on the money, and most importantly the food was fabulous!!! They said the best wedding food they've had by far!!! They can cut through the filet mignon with a fork.. It was truly Outstanding. I can't thank Sheila and Bethany enough for the helped and service they have provided.. It was absolutely incredible.. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU and I will surely miss you guys especially Sheila that I grew to love throughout this process. My husband and I are forever thankful to you! Lake of Isles proved to be the absolute perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we arrived to look at the venue, we felt comfortable and knew it was the perfect place for our reception. We were greeted by Sheila Graham, who was by far the best wedding coordinator one could ask for. She was attentive to our every need from the moment we walked in all the way through our wedding day. I never felt nervous about planning my wedding out of state because I knew Sheila was on top of everything! She is extremely organized and remembers even the smallest details. For example, she highly impressed my parents when she greeted them by their first names upon our second meeting. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sheila.

As our day approached, my husband and I never felt nervous about how the reception would go. Our food tasting went wonderfully, and we chose the Filet Mignon and chicken. The food was absolutely delicious. I truly believe every guest thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Almost every table commented on how delicious the good was.

My husband and I were very appreciative that the open bar charge was factored into the per person price. The bartenders were excellent!

One of my favorite parts of the wedding was our cocktail hour reception on the back deck. It was truly exquisite! It provided for a wonderful setting on a beautiful afternoon.

I highly recommend Lake of Isles for a wedding venue. I would never have chosen another place! Honestly, every little and big thing about that day was PERFECT!!

Staff was first class as well as the view, food, drinks, cake, etc. Best day of my life enhanced by a beautiful venue!
