We couldn’t have asked for a better venue experience for our wedding weekend (which consisted of a welcome party in the Mapleview Gardens, tented Front Lawn ceremony and reception, and after party in the Golf Clubhouse). Bonnie and her team were incredibly easy to work with from start to finish, quick to respond to any emails, and truly went above and beyond to bring all of our ideas, visions, and requests to life. Since our guests were traveling, it was nice to have a one-stop-shop for all of the wedding activities once guests arrived, and the Wappanachee Cottage was the perfect home base for the bride/groom and family to stay for the weekend and have plenty of room to separate to get ready. When the weather didn’t (at all!) cooperate, they were flexible and proactive, offering back-up spaces and seamlessly adapting plans to ensure everything still felt magical and stress-free. We were so excited to have our wedding here, and they somehow exceeded our incredibly high hopes & expectations. So grateful to have had our wedding at Lake Morey Resort!

My new husband and I got married at Lake Morey Resort on 9/13/2025 and had the best experience with Lake Morey resort. Truly the best decision we made while wedding planning!
From the very beginning, Bonnie and her team were attentive, professional, and extremely caring. This was especially true the weekend of our wedding! Everything from the day of coordination and decor set-up to the ceremony rehearsal and cocktail hour were perfect. We placed a lot of confidence in the Lake Morey Resort team and they did not disappoint. Extra special shout out to Bonnie for all of her amazing work, we really can’t thank her enough for all that she did for us.

Outside of the fantastic staff, the resort is BEAUTIFUL, the view is stunning, the food was amazing, the activities were engaging, and the accommodations were highly praised by our guests. All in all, we had such a great experience with Lake Morey Resort and they helped us achieve our dream wedding.

We are so glad we chose Lake Morey resort for our wedding venue. Our top priority for our venue was to find a place where our friends and family would be able to share quality time together, have fun, and enjoy the outdoors. Lake Morey nailed it with their social environment, gorgeous grounds, and amazing live music.

We had our ceremony in the Hemlock Gardens, with cocktail hour in Mapleview Gardens & tented reception on the lawn — all the venues dressed up beautifully for the big day. While food wasn’t a huge priority for us when selecting the venue, Lake Morey greatly exceeded our expectations. The reception food and hors d’oeuvres were delicious and garnered a ton of compliments.

And no review of Lake Morey would be complete without a shout-out to Bonnie, the in-house wedding coordinator, who is exceptional. She was extremely organized, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. When we had a scare about getting rained out, she proactively made sure to book the nicest spaces for backup venues at no upcharge for us (fortunately, the skies did clear up for the big day, but she saved our welcome party from disaster). It was so clear to us that Bonnie really cares about the couples she works with — it’s more than just a job for her.

I am still floating from our dreamy wedding weekend at Lake Morey Resort! It was the perfect location to host our wedding events (all outdoors):

(1) Welcome dinner + fire pit
(2) Tea ceremony + luncheon
(3) Western ceremony
(4) Cocktail hour + lion dance
(5) Reception
(6) Farewell breakfast


Here are some of the elements which made Lake Morey stand out:


EXPERIENCE: Lake Morey has experience in hosting large events (including summer concerts with hundreds of people). This made a difference as they understood logistics to ensure everything ran smoothly for all of our wedding events. There was adequate signage, food was served promptly, tables were set up with linens and tableware, there was power outdoors for audio and lighting, etc.


COORDINATOR: Speaking of experience, our coordinator, Bonnie, was phenomenal! Throughout the planning process, she answered all of our questions (via email and phone) and also walked us through a lot of details. She was with us the entire weekend to ensure that everything was taken care of, including guiding us through the rehearsal. Bonnie made note of and executed on all of our venue requests, including color of linens, having easels available, setting up the correct number of side tables, etc. She even did things I didn't realize until later, such as fixing the train of my wedding gown before I walked down the aisle! She also presented us with a plate of food during Cocktail Hour so we could eat!


PLACES OF NATURAL BEAUTY: We wanted an outdoor venue with gorgeous views. There were so many lovely places at Lake Morey - from the Mapleview Gardens and gazebo, to the lakeside, to the twinkling lights in the front lawn. We were fortunate that we did not have to use the rain plan, but there was one available.


ACCOMMODATIONS & LOCATION: Our guests would be traveling, so we wanted a location that was accessible from Boston airport and where people had the option to stay onsite. We also wanted to host all of the events in one venue so that guests wouldn't have to travel all over the place. Lake Morey was perfect for this.


ACCESSIBILITY: Lake Morey was ADA-accessible, and Bonnie even helped ferry people around in a golf cart from one event to the next!


LAID-BACK VIBE: We did not want anything stuffy or super formal. We wanted it to be a cheerful time spent with friends and family. Everyone at Lake Morey was so friendly and welcoming. They truly cared about providing a great experience for guests.


CATERING: Catering and alcohol was provided by Lake Morey. It was not important to us that we could not choose other caterers; what *was* important was that Lake Morey was able to accommodate severe food allergies for every event. Executive Chef James was phenomenal in ensuring that the food was safe. And, the food was delicious and plentiful! We were impressed by the wood-fired pizza and how efficiently they came out, piping-hot. Additionally, the bartenders were excellent, and guests did not have to wait long. The bartenders were great at mixing our signature cocktails.


Things to note (but were not a concern for us):
- There is no bridal/groom suite for getting ready
- Bonnie handles all of the venue coordination; we hired a separate day-of coordinator to handle all of the decor logistics
- There may be another wedding on the same day


We are absolutely thrilled that we chose Lake Morey for our wedding celebration. Everything turned out even more magical than we had anticipated.

Everything about Lake Morey was amazing! We knew prior to having our wedding their that the food was great but didn't expect all the guests to rave after dinner about how great it was.

Bonnie and the rest of the staff was amazing! We had a lot of different moving parts for our big day but they were able to accommodate and turn our vision to life!

Along with the wedding, we made an entire weekend out of it for our guests. Friday boys went golfing and girls rented a pontoon boat. Both great experiences and really enjoyed that time with our family and friends. We stayed in Wanapanachee Cottage and it was the perfect set up for our wedding party with lots of space. It was also a beautiful place to stay.

Highly recommend them for your wedding needs! The gardens and the view of the lake was spectacular!

Lake Morey was everything we had dreamed of and so much more!! My husband and I wanted a venue where everything could be hosted on site from the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, after party and farewell dinner. Bonnie is the wedding coordinator for the venue and she is incredible- anything you wanted she made it happen! She made the wedding flawless and so stress free! She was extremely responsive and patient with all of my million emails! Thank you Bonnie for all you did for us!!! Lake Morey’s food was phenomenal at every event from rehearsal dinner to farewell breakfast and everything in between! Our guests were very impressed with the quality! The head chef was extremely personable and came out to talk to guests at different events- he even made accommodations to host the after party late at night- we were all very impressed. All of the staff from servers to bartenders, hostess, boat captain, front desk staff etc were extremely friendly and would go out of their way to see their guests happy. The venue also had several different backdrops for incredible pictures all on site. The groom and his men were able to golf the morning of the wedding while the ladies got ready. The rooms were large enough to have the bridal party together to get ready the day of the wedding. Our family and friends were able to stay after the wedding for some boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking fun! Captain Ken was very knowledgeable about the area - highly recommend taking a boat cruise while there! This venue was everything we dreamed of and so much more!

We don’t even know where to begin! Choosing Lake Morey Resort as our wedding venue was the absolute best decision we made! We started our wedding weekend Friday with a rehearsal, then a pizza buffet rehearsal dinner (the pizza was delicious and everyone loved it!) and ended the night with a welcome party by the fire pit! Saturday we had the most perfect ceremony right beside the lake, and then everyone just had to walk a few feet into the terrace ballroom for the cocktail hour & reception. We chose station options and us as well as our guests are still blown away by the amount of food and how perfect and delicious it all was!!
Overall, having a resort that allowed us to hold our entire wedding weekend all in one place (and have all our guests stay there too!) was so convenient and exactly what we were looking for!
The entire Lake Morey Resort team made us feel so special and so welcome as soon as we walked through the doors. Numerous times we were asked if we needed anything and everyone was just so kind and willing to do anything to make sure our stay was perfect.
Melissa and Sarah are also rockstars! From the very beginning they answered all emails and questions, and let us know they were always a call away. They both made everything so easy throughout the planning process, and made the big day go so smoothly and we can’t thank them enough!

We had an absolutely beautiful & fun-filled wedding at Lake Morey Resort! We picked the venue without having the chance to visit due to COVID. It really exceeded our expectations. There are several great outdoor options for various events of different sizes -the lakefront, gardens and front lawn. It was also extremely convenient to have everything in one place & not have to worry about food & transportation. Our guests enjoyed several outdoor activities on the day of the wedding - biking, tennis, hiking and kayaking. All the staff were very polite & friendly. Melissa, the wedding coordinator did a terrific job, helping make a very stressful day less stressful for us. Everyone had such a fantastic time. Thank you for making our wedding weekend so magical!

Not only is Lake Morey Resort beautiful, but their staff was exceptional with every aspect of our wedding and stay! We felt like family the entire time and because of them had very little stress during the wedding planning process. The food was incredible and received many compliments and management were so accommodating with special requests. We are extremely happy to have had our wedding at this venue!

Our wedding was perfect. From Melissa and Erin in the sales office to check in with Kristen ,everyone and every interaction was wonderful. Very impressive and guest experience oriented establishment. They thought of every detail I didn't! Highly recommend this place!

Just want to thank the entire staff at Lake Morey Resort for making our son's 6/9/19 wedding weekend so memorable. The wedding couple chose the resort as it could be a single place where friends and family could gather not only for the wedding festivities, but serve as a weekend getaway for guests at the same time. Guests enjoyed the golf, tennis, trails, paddle boards and canoeing. Having perfect weather for an entire weekend didn't hurt either! I was pleased to plan a rehearsal dinner with Melissa Seaver who was so responsive and patient in answering all my questions via email and phone. This was much appreciated since all planning was done long distance as I did not have the opportunity to visit the venue prior to the wedding weekend. The "I Do BBQ" Rehearsal dinner was outdoors in a beautiful setting in Mapleview Gardens followed by a guest Welcome Smores Party with lawn games at the firepit. What a beautiful and fun venue! Thank you also to Food and Beverage Manager Elias who was working hard all weekend and oversaw a most delicious buffet BBQ rehearsal dinner. I only wished I had saved room for more homemade pie. The wedding and reception the following day was spectacular and I know the bride, groom, and bride's family would agree that we would all recommend Lake Morey Resort as an excellent choice for a wedding venue! Visit and see for yourself!

My husband and I were married at Lake Morey Resort on August 6th, 2016. The day was pure perfection. From the accommodations of the resort to the attentiveness of our coordinator, we literally could not have asked for a more perfect day. All of our guests enjoyed the lake and the pool, especially the kids! We received rave reviews on the food and the selection from the bar. Everyone enjoyed the live music after the reception ended, and as an added bonus! The bride and groom get free buffet breakfast if they stay at the resort the night of the wedding. Our family's are still talking about what a blast they had and that makes me so happy. It was really difficult finding a venue where we really had to bring very little on site and Lake Morey nailed it AND the final cost fit very nicely in our budget. The resort includes all linens, place settings, tables and chairs for reception and for ceremony. They have a few ceremony sites to choose from and the options for the reception are also plentiful. They can accommodate an indoor or outdoor wedding and the site is really beautiful. We are so pleased with Lake Morey and can't thank them enough for everything they did to make our day so special!

Lake Morey was wonderful for our ceremony/reception. I would highly recommend this venue for someone who is looking for a place that has it all, nice guest rooms, gorgeous spots for pictures, great food, wonderful reception rooms. It was fantastic and our day could not have been more perfect. Also, our Justice of the Peach Larry Coffin, was amazing. His ceremony was perfect and just what we wanted. 5 stars all the way around for Lake Morey and Mr. Coffin.

Absolutely beautiful resort on the lake. I loved that everything was included, no extra cake cutting or corking fees. The only extra thing we paid for was the champagne. The food was delicious, everything was very professional and beautiful. It cost us only $35/guest and we also received a complementary room for the night. I would have easily expected to pay $100/guest for what we received. They have a number of different sized rooms, all very beautiful, with dance floor and bar. They let us come in and decorate early too. Their wedding coordinator was very helpful, making planning much easier.

From the beginning selection to the after wedding process, Lake Morey Resort is a fantastic place to have our wedding. Getting married for the first time late in life meant this had to be perfect! The Sales rep - Erin, and the Event Planner - Melissa were both so easy to work with and were very prompt in responding to many questions. We didn't have a wedding party so having Melissa follow up with every detail helped to de-stress to ensure we had a wedding of our dreams. We changed our minds a few times (even though we vowed to keep it simple) and at each step the excitement for our wedding was shown in our correspondence. Our wedding was not during the busy season, so we had the place to ourselves! Our family even stayed an additional night. The prices were far better than any other local areas and what a view! Still ice on the lake and snow scattered about, but no cold or brisk winds could stop us from having a beautiful wedding with only 60 guests. I would recommend the venue for anyone who has a difficult time selecting the "best" place for family and friends. We can't wait to return for a weekend and get to enjoy all that the resort offers (in season)!

This venue is absolutely amazing and we are so so happy with how everything turned out. If we were to do it again we would pick this venue all over again! The views are absolutely beautiful, the welcome party we had in the garden was stunning. We were so lucky to find this place.

When we did our food tasting, to be honest we were nervous after that because it was not that great. This made us decide to go with a buffet which actually ended up being delicious on our wedding day!

Our coordinator Bonnie was so kind and great to work with for the most part. My father got sick and we had to move the wedding up a year and she could not have been more kind in helping us do that and helping with our now condensed timeline. However, our only downside we would say is there were lack of responses at times and it did feel a bit unorganized leading up to the day. There is a meeting 45 days before the wedding where they ask a ton of questions. We think it would have been helplful to have gotten those questions in advance because we ended up having to make some decisions on the spot we had not thought about. Also, on the day of I know there were some delays in schedule and to be honest she was not really around much. We truly think she is doing her best and is fantastic, but we honestly think this job is just too much for one person to do by themselves. We think it would have been way better if she had an assistant with her on the day of and to help with responding to emails leading up because she just has so much on her plate.

Even with this, we still would not change having our wedding here and everything still went very smoothly. We could not be happier. We highly recommend having your wedding at Lake Morey Resort.

We had a beautiful wedding at Lake Morey Resort. From the very beginning, the coordinators at the resort were great to work with, always responding to questions promptly and accommodating our requests. It is clear they do weddings often, they thought of everything and I did not have to worry about how everything would come together. Our guests loved their stay at the resort. Staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the resort was comfortable and fun. The resort is in a beautiful location, and the prices were very reasonable when compared to other locations with similar amenities. We highly recommend Lake Morey Resort.

So wonderful to have everything in the same place. Most of our guests stayed at the resort; we had the ceremony outdoors in the Maple View Garden; and our reception was in the Waterlot Room. Erika, their wedding coordinator, was so helpful, though the rehearsal was a bit chaotic and unorganized. Luckily it all fell into place at the ceremony! Our wedding was delayed about an hour because of a rain storm and everyone at Lake Morey was amazing. They kept us up-to-date while we were getting ready, and even the resort manager rolled up his sleeves, and pants, and helped dry off all the seats for the outdoor ceremony. It was the perfect wedding and Lake Morey was incredible! Food is to-die-for delicous too!

Beautiful location and awesome service. The wedding co-ordinator is very helpful and highly professional; she took care of everything with minute detail and knows what she is doing. Food was great, no complain at all. We feel very lucky that we chose this place for our wedding! Will come back to celebrate our anniversary.

All the important things were taken care of months in advance, as they were very thorough throughout the process. So closer to my wedding, I really didn't have to worry about much at all.

This location was a perfect choice for our wedding ceremony and reception. Located in beautiful Fairlee, Vermont, the hotel is sitting on Lake Morey. A very beautiful location. i would do it all again at this same venue.
