I genuinely can't imagine getting married anywhere but Lake Bomoseen Lodge (and now I never have to!). We had a wonderful 120 person wedding in August 2025, and Rebecca, Erin, and the whole LBL team were incredible. Our goal was to have our friends and family stay onsite and enjoy the lake and quality time together, and this was the perfect venue for that. About 100 folks were able to stay on site, and everyone enjoyed having time to relax, swim, boat, and not have to leave at all once they got there. Between a welcome dinner, wedding day, and farewell brunch, all the food and drinks were incredible. The after party mac and cheese bar was a huge hit. We were able to have the welcome dinner and cocktail hour outside, and the weather and tent were perfect. The hillside made for an absolutely gorgeous ceremony backdrop, and the sunsets will stay with us forever. I am so glad we didn't need to hire out any furniture, flatware, utensils, or any other small things that we didn't want to spend any mental energy on. The staff went above and beyond to help us set up (and added some cute decor they had after checking with us!), takedown, and work with our vendors so we could enjoy all of the events. We can't thank the LBL team enough for how easy they made the whole process, and can't wait to be back for hundreds of more trips to come :). -

best day of our lives
I don’t even have the words to fully express how exceptional our experience was at Lake Bomoseen Lodge. We got married there in April 2025, and everything about the weekend was perfect.
From the moment we arrived on Friday afternoon, our incredible coordinator, Rebecca, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was flawless. We kicked off the celebration with a welcome event featuring champagne and delicious bites, and Saturday—the big day—was nothing short of magical.
Rebecca was by our side from the moment we pulled in, ensuring everything ran seamlessly and that both our guests and wedding party felt cared for and celebrated. We didn’t have to lift a finger. The team set up our entire reception exactly as envisioned, simply using photos and instructions, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the amazing service.
The food and drinks were phenomenal, and the atmosphere—set against the backdrop of the lake—was truly unforgettable. My husband and I stayed an extra night after the wedding to soak it all in, stargazing by the lake and savoring every last moment. I’ll admit I shed a tear as we passed the Lake Bomoseen Lodge sign one final time.
Over the course of 1.5 years of planning, Rebecca was a constant source of support—always kind, organized, and generous with her time. Even across the ocean, she offered Zoom calls from Vermont to Germany and brought a calming presence to the entire process. We miss chatting with her regularly and can’t wait to return for anniversaries in the years to come. -

We got married at Lake Bomoseen in November 2024 and had the best experience! Our coordinator, Angela was amazing and very responsive to any questions we had. If there were any issues on the wedding day, we didn't know about them because they were handled on the backend without having to get us involved. All of our guests loved the venue and many said they would be back just for a vacation. This place is incredible! -

Our Magical Wedding at LBL
If we could rate LBL 10 stars, we would!! We are two brides who booked our wedding date with LBL about 2 years ago, and we just had our big day with them in August 2024 (~70 guests). We initially fell in love with the gorgeous views and ability to accommodate so many of our guests onsite, but over the past two years, LBL has taken up a special place in our hearts. Our wedding coordinator Rebecca was with us every step of the way, from answering our random 'details' emails to chatting it up at the tasting, even to fluffing our dresses before our walk down the aisle. She made the entire wedding planning process feel like a breeze, and we are so bummed that our time working with her is over! The entire staff and crew during our wedding weekend- Xani, Hannah, Evan, just to name a few!- were just the kindest people, and genuinely seemed excited for us and wanted the day to go smoothly for us. LBL was all about the little details- from handing us celebratory glasses of champagne after our ceremony to writing an adorable sign for our tiki boat ride (and yes, they have a freaking TIKI BOAT that you can book!!). They went out of their way to make us feel special, even when they were fully booked with weddings the day before and after us. But don't you worry- they have all the big stuff covered, too! Room blocks, rehearsal dinner, setting up decor, transitions between the hillside and cocktail hour and reception; all of it went off without a hitch! And the FOOD!!! Y'all, the food cannot be understated. Everything was truly so delicious; on our recommendation, we had about 50 guests order prime rib and all of them were so impressed/said it was the best wedding meal they'd ever had. The bacon-wrapped scallops at cocktail hour, the signature cocktails, and the after party nachos, are all legendary right now in our group chats. Stepping back again, we cannot say enough how well taken care of we were by the LBL crew. As a lesbian couple, we toured several other venues that made us feel uncomfortable, or that we didn't feel would fully celebrate us. LBL never once made us feel that way, and truly gave us the best bridal experience we could have. Both of our families stayed the full week and we are all already thinking of booking again next year just for a family vacation! The rooms/options (especially pet-friendly ones), amenities (pool, lake, kayaks, etc.), and price fit our needs perfectly. After the wedding, the word that all of us used to describe it was "magical." We had a truly magical wedding weekend, and it was all thanks to LBL! If you are looking for a venue that won't treat you like a number, somewhere that provides stunning onsite lodging and the most incredible food, gorgeous ceremony and reception locations, and the best staff in the world, look no further than Lake Bomoseen Lodge! The Wedding of Our Dreams
We had an incredible experience having our wedding at Lake Bomoseen Lodge in June 2023 (we are very late posting this!). We had been looking for a venue that would enable us to get married surrounded by nature, which would offer our friends and family a retreat where we could build community over the course of a weekend, and that would be affordable and flexible, and we found all of this at Lake Bomoseen Lodge.
First of all, the location is absolutely gorgeous, we had hoped to have our ceremony on the island but the weather turned out to be too uncertain on the day so we did it on the hilltop instead and it was still stunning. Because of the weather uncertainty, we had to make a very last minute call as to where our ceremony and cocktail hour would be, and Rebecca and the whole staff were super flexible and communicative in figuring that out.
Rebeca was also super flexible and communicative in the whole planning process. They didn't force any packages on us, let us pick and choose what we wanted to include, really didn't enforce any minimums, and even let us cut a few meals after the deadline because of a handful of last minute cancellations. They clearly were used to working with couples on a budget and were surprisingly accommodating to that reality compared to every other venue we spoke to throughout our search.
I also have to admit that I'm detail oriented to a fault and had tons of asks of Rebecca and the staff leading up to and throughout the weekend, and they accommodated all of them. On top of more typical wedding stuff I had a couple of surprises for my husband throughout the weekend, including a gift delivered to his get ready room and a surprise confetti moment on the dance floor, and Rebecca and team helped me execute all of it in addition to the one million other more standard wedding things they were dealing with.
I also have to say we were pleasantly surprised by the food. We went to one of their tasting weekends and thought the food was fine but it didn't blow us away; we were okay with that because we expected to have to compromise on something given our budget constraints. The beauty of the location and level of the support from the staff seemed well worth it to compromise a bit on food. But then the food at our actual wedding was fantastic, way better than the tasting. Our guests kept commenting on how good it was too.
Finally, I have to mention that we really wanted to have a private experience and feel like we had the place to ourselves, which is a big reason we didn't consider any of the big resorts in the area (in addition to their cost). We were a bit concerned at first about the fact that Lake Bomoseen does multiple weddings a weekend, we didn't want to feel like our wedding was constantly running into others. But the Lake Bomoseen staff really coordinated everything beautifully and made sure that didn't happen, and I think we got a feeling of the place being extra private because we had a Sunday wedding and by Sunday morning all the guests from other weddings had checked out. On our actual wedding day we truly had the run of the place and every single room was booked with our guests.
At the end of the day, we didn't wind up having to compromise on anything at all and truly had our dream wedding at Lake Bomoseen Lodge. -

Amazing Place to Celebrate our Wedding
Lake Bomoseen Lodge was the perfect place to have our wedding. Our coordinator, Angela, is an all star and was extremely responsive to changes in the schedule, rooms shuffles, location changes due to weather; she never missed a beat. She was kind and thorough in our communications and communications with our other vendors, we couldn’t have had a better coordinator.
The cocktails were smooth and well balanced, the beer selection was the best of Vermont, and our bartender for the weekend was kind and attentive.
The hors d’oeurves and main meals were great, the salmon and the little arancini balls were our favorites.
Lastly, the scenery was beautiful: over the lake, the sunsets, the old trees along the lake, the secluded hilltop ceremony site. The trees made a nice shady spot so no one was baking in the summer sun during our lakeside ceremony. We had a thunderstorm move the welcome reception the night before from under the tent to inside, but we lucked out on the day of the wedding with a beautiful sunny day.
We couldn’t recommend Lake Bomoseen Lodge enough.

Lake Bomoseen Lodge and Tap is the absolute best. We worked with Rebecca Field and she is a saint. We did not know where to start, and Rebecca gave us a roadmap of how to select vendors and kept us on track for our wedding. On the actual wedding weekend, Lake Bomoseen and the staff were fantastic. The entire staff knew who we were and each staff member wanted to make sure we were doing well. It was wonderful. The ceremony was on a weekend in October. The views were breath taking. We were able to use the hillside for the ceremony, the lakeside for the rehearsal dinner and cocktail hour, and the lodge for the reception. IT WAS ALL PERFECT! We got to see the mountains in the area, the beautiful lake, and be in the wonderful Lodge area. Because of Rebecca and the wonderful staff, there was ZERO stress on the wedding weekend. Any thing we needed, Lake Bomoseen provided for us. Even things that we did not think we needed! Everything was beautiful. The rooms that the wedding party stayed in were all perfect. The fire pits on the property were amazing and the fall foliage was breath taking. Everywhere we went at Lake Bomoseen was amazing. The added bonus was that we were able to take our puppies with us. They made perfect wedding party members. There are not enough good things to say about Lake Bomoseen Lodge and Taproom. If I could offer any advice, don't walk there, RUN and have your wedding here. You will not be disappointed. -

A Dream Come True!
Hands down the BEST wedding venue we could have imagined. If you’re looking for somewhere that has it all, look no further than Lake Bomoseen Lodge. First off- our coordinator Angela was a literal angel. From the day we toured the venue with her, to our menu tasting, to answering my many email questions, helping accommodate a last-minute hiccup in our plans, and throughout our entire rehearsal and wedding day, she was by our side and was truly irreplaceable. Lake Bomoseen Lodge has thought of everything. A beautiful outdoor ceremony site (of which there are multiple options to choose from), a phenomenal cocktail hour, rustic reception space, fantastic catering/bartending, and late-night pizzas in the taproom. Not to mention there’s on site lodging which made getting ready in the morning and keeping the party going the night of a breeze. The food was great, the customer service over the two years of planning was impeccable, and even the invoicing and payments were beyond easy. The Bomoseen team went above and beyond to let us tailor the day to our exact vision, and the ease of having everything all in one place was a dream. Again, Angela was the reason everything went off without a hitch. And a special shoutout to the lead bartender who worked our event- she was funny, kind, and made us feel like royalty on our wedding day. Our guests still can’t stop raving almost a month later about what an amazing team and venue it was. I would plan another event here in a heartbeat, and we can’t wait to come back and stay on the property again soon. -

I can't say enough great things about Lake Bomoseen Lodge. I first discovered the venue as a guest, and a few years later when it came time to find a venue, I realized how Lake Bomoseen Lodge checked all our boxes, and it only seems to get better over time! If you're looking for a venue where all your guests can stay on site and enjoy a beautiful weekend, this is the place for you. Rebecca was our coordinator and she was so organized, responsive, and positive throughout the whole experience, no matter how many emails with random questions and check ins! The food, from the welcome cookout, big day, and goodbye brunch was wonderful and they offer so many options from locations, rain plans, bar options etc for many budgets. When we arrived for the wedding, everything went smoothly and I felt that I could let go and just enjoy the weekend, the staff really knows what they are doing. -

The perfect day, the perfect venue
If you are considering Lake Bomoseen Lodge as your wedding venue, don't look any further! We were so lucky to have had our wedding last summer at the Lodge - the employees were fantastic and made our wedding day perfect. Our guests loved staying on the venue with us and we were able to see family and friends all weekend. The guests loved the boat trips to the island for the reception! Last, but not least - our wedding coordinator, Angela, was so helpful and thorough with helping us plan our wedding - we didn't even need a wedding planner because of her! From months before the wedding to the day of (and even the day after) she was so helpful with whatever my husband and I wanted. We have had so many compliments about the beautiful and fun wedding that we had and we give most of the credit to Lake Bomoseen Lodge - THANKS! -

The most beautiful venue
This is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Vermont, and we couldn't be happier that we chose it for our wedding. This was the first venue my husband and I looked at both online and in person, and we immediately knew we didn't have to look any further. While we lucked out with weather, there is absolutely nothing that could make this venue any less stunning. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting us on our choice, how smooth everything ran, the excellent accommodations, and the incredible food. In addition, our coordinator, Angela, was absolutely incredible. What a warm, relaxing presence in the midst of such a chaotic day - it felt like we had a close friend right there with us the whole time. She went absolutely above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and it truly was better than we could've ever imagined. This venue truly is a one stop shop and it has it all. This was one of the best weekends of our whole lives and we couldn't have done it without anyone at the Lake Bomoseen Lodge. -

Beautiful venue with incredible staff
We could not more highly recommend the Lodge to anyone looking for their perfect wedding venue. Everything from our hillside ceremony to our lakeside cocktail hour, to the top floor of the lodge for the reception was breathtakingly beautiful. The food was wonderful, and every staff member that helped to plan and run our wedding was professional and incredibly helpful. One of the biggest perks of this venue is that it comes with your own personal wedding coordinator. Extra big shout out to ours, Angela, who was absolutely fantastic every step of the way -

Lake Bomoseen Lodge was the absolute perfect place to have our wedding ceremony and reception. Not only is it an absolutely beautiful location, but the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need. We worked with Rebecca for our wedding coordination, and she was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish.
We chose the hillside ceremony location, and the view was breathtaking. The bar and waitstaff on the day of were so friendly, and all of our guests raved about the food. We chose the location because they handled food, drinks, room accommodations (which were also updated and great), and we didn't have to travel to go between the ceremony and cocktail hour and reception - it really made for such a seamless day with no stress.
We got many compliments from guests saying "Best wedding I've ever been to!" and we owe many thanks to LBL for making our special day even better than we could imagine. If you are thinking about Lake Bomoseen Lodge for your wedding day definitely take a tour! We can't wait to be back. -

I am so glad that we decided to go with Lake Bomoseen Lodge for our wedding weekend!! We had always dreamed of having an experience where all of our family and friends could stay on property, affordably, and we could enjoy the entire weekend together!
We booked our wedding back in November 2020(we planned for a long engagement), with Arden, however she ended up moving on, and Rebecca too over, and it was a seamless transition! Rebecca and the rest of the LBL team were amazing throughout the entire process, and we could not be happier! Being someone who works in the industry, I know all that goes on behind the scenes, and they nailed it all. They were responsive and attentive, and all could see that. From the initial planning, day of coordination, working with us on our first look , (shout out to Will for our buggie rides up and down!), keeping us on schedule and making us feel so important all day long!
Probably our favorite part was being able to be married out on the private island! I mean how many times can your guest have that experience of taking a boat to the ceremony?! All of our guests thought it was so cool, and loved the experience just as much as we did! Plus, you end up with some awesome photos!!!
I cannot recommend this place more!! -

We absolutely loved having our wedding here! From the start, Rebecca was wonderful to work with as our Coordinator, always answering our emails and being available to jump on the phone to chat through any planning.
For the weekend we stayed in the Pine Cottage with a majority of our bridal party, and me and my bridesmaids got ready there the day of the wedding. I highly, highly recommend doing this! The house is so spacious and even our makeup artist and hair stylists mentioned how nice it was having so much space for everything.
For the wedding itself, the space is gorgeous. We had our ceremony on the hill and the views were so worth it. The reception space was exactly what we were looking for and the entire day ran so smoothly with Rebecca by our side! (Photos are by Jackie Fox Photography) -

We are so incredibly grateful for all the work that Rebecca and Angela (our coordinators) as well as the rest of their staff did to make our wedding day so flawless. My husband and I were able to be in the moment and not worry about the little things, which was exactly what we wanted. Our son was married Aug 13th 2021 and the food was excellent! We had both rehearsal dinner and wedding there. The staff and crew was on hand and helpful. There were golf carts driven by staff to help get older members of family around and the wedding coordinator Catherine was very helpful and anticipated things we never thought about.. Top notch! -

If you're looking for a venue that prioritizes the values of flexibility, responsiveness, professionalism, and compassion, look no further. Lake Bomoseen Lodge, specifically Rebecca and Catherine, could not have provided us with a dreamier day. From cancelling our wedding in 2020 to drastically reducing our guest count in 2021, we had a stressful run of things. But LBL was there with us every step of the way, ensuring that our day was stress-free. I could not imagine having my wedding anywhere else. Rebecca and Catherine, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It was perfect. -

Amazing location and great staff!
This place is amazing I don’t have any negatives. We looked for a Vermont location for awhile and The Lodge offered everything at a very affordable price. Their catering is sooo good. The appetizers during cocktail hour were incredible. I planned my own wedding and it was so nice to have everything offered by the same company. We had guests stay at the lodge, food, drinks, a cool ceremony site (on an island with boat rides!) and a brand new event hall. Also Taylor who was our contact person was so helpful and she was there for our wedding to help make sure everything went smoothly. It was an ideal location with a really professional staff who helped make the day perfect. I can’t think of any negatives. -

I absolutely loved having our wedding at the Lake Bomoseen Lodge! The lake is gorgeous, and all of the accommodations and Tap Room have been recently renovated. The style is rustic chic, with a relaxing lake vacation vibe. I personally loved that we could rent out the big house on the property for the weekend of our wedding. It was amazing to have my family and bridal party all in one place, which was especially helpful when everyone was getting ready together before the ceremony. It was also great that I didn't have to rent a limo to get to my ceremony or reception space; it was all available at the same setting! Our guests loved that they could also stay in one of the rooms or cottages on the property. They raved about how nice the rooms were, and that it also felt like a mini vacation for them, as they were able to take advantage of the resort's amenities, including kayaking, swimming, and boat rides.
I can't say enough about how great the staff at the Lodge is! I worked with Taylor as my wedding coordinator—she was friendly, organized, and very professional. In the planning stages, whenever I had a question, she would immediately return my email or phone call. The weekend of my wedding, she was excellent at keeping events moving and making sure things went smoothly. The wait staff and bartenders were friendly, fun, and accommodating for all of my guests. I had a cocktail reception, and the chef made up an incredible menu of passed apps and table spreads of cheese, meats, dips, etc., that all of my guest with a variety of dietary needs and preferences enjoyed. The staff was also so helpful with setting up the venue space and coordinating with outside vendors, such as linens, DJ, and dessert caterers.
My husband and I highly recommend the Lake Bomoseen Lodge for your wedding. The beautiful venue, accommodations, and top quality staff will make your wedding day something that you and your guest will love and never forget! -

I can't say enough wonderful things about Arden, Taylor, and Ken at Lake Bomoseen Lodge. Arden and Taylor are great coordinators and bring ANY vision to life (they were willing to set up on the frozen lake for us for our winter wedding...no I'm not kidding!). Ken is an EXTRAORDINARY chef and even indulged us with a beer tasting, selecting amazing local brews to compliment our (delicious brunch!) meals. The location itself is BEAUTIFUL and the convenience of the lodging and pine cottage next door (hello, after party!) is unmatched. It seems cliche to give all 5's, but I cannot express enough how involved each team member was and how smoothly everything went on our perfect day!!! The reception space is beautiful, as well! 10/10, would recommend!!! -

My husband and I got married last summer at the Lake Bomoseen Lodge and it was summer wedding bliss! Everything about our wedding weekend, and especially our wedding day, was absolute perfection!! The entire staff was fantastic; polite, professional, responsive, timely, and incredibly courteous and friendly. A special thank you to Arden Rishell, the event coordinator, who was my rock during the entire planning process and who made sure that everything went smoothly the entire wedding weekend. Shout out to the head chef, Ken, as well. He prepared so many wonderful dishes for my husband and I to try during our private taste testing session and helped us to plan and create a delicious menu for our entire wedding weekend (rehearsal and reception meals). We got married out on the private island; it was the most beautiful ceremony space we could have imagined for our day. The island was full of greenery and flowers, there were birds chirping and butterflies flitting around, sunshine filtering through the tree tops, and we had a lovely little arch to stand under. The island also presented many opportunities for gorgeous photos! Our cocktail hour was held in the bar/restaurant space and it was a wonderful place for people to rest, relax, talk, and enjoy hors d’ouerves and drinks with family and friends. Our reception was held in the beautiful post and beam loft space. The two chandeliers created a soft warm light, the bay windows at the front looked out over the lake and provided a gorgeous view of the sunset, and there was plenty of space for dinner, drinks (they had a small portable bar up in the loft), and dancing! The Lake Bomoseen Lodge was truly an amazing place to get married and we would absolutely recommend it to any other couple planning their wedding!! We plan to celebrate many anniversaries there in the years to come!! -

We found Lake Bomoseen Lodge by accident after touring other venues throughout New England, and we are so glad we did! From the first visit until checkout they were so accommodating and kind. Arden specifically is a superstar. She was the point of contact throughout the entire event, and even pinned the groom's boutonniere moments before the wedding. Chef Ken did an amazing job with the food for both the rehearsal dinner and the reception. He took our expectations and requests very seriously and prepared the most delicious food we could have imagined. We honestly cannot say enough positive things about the entire Lake Bomoseen Lodge staff. -

Arden (the event planner) was a huge help throughout the whole process, always so quick to respond, answering my millions of questions, she took most of the burden off of me, so that I could focus on the fun things like all of the decorations, etc. We had the rehearsal dinner on the floor above the taproom and I appreciated how flexible they were with what we wanted. The day of, she was there to run the show so we could just enjoy it. She even brought our cocktail hour food to us while we were getting pictures done, heaven sent! The reception space was picture perfect, Arden's team did a beautiful job getting it ready (we did some of the decorating the night before, but they finished the job for us the day of so we didn't have to worry about it). The food at the reception was to die for! I couldn't tell you how many people said the steak was the best they have ever had. The little things that Arden and her team made sure happened were what made it the best, they had our favorite drinks ready at our table once we were announced in! We offered wine and beer for our guests and what was nice about that was that they didn't limit you to just one wine and one beer, we were able to offer multiple options to our guests. A large majority of our families stayed in the lodge rooms and condos and we had nothing but good comments about the rooms. Especially that some were dog friendly! We used the condos for getting ready and they were perfect, enough space for our hair and makeup team to do what they needed. I would recommend this venue to anyone!

Catherine Sent on 10/12/2018We have just returned from a beautiful wedding weekend at the Lake Bomoseen Lodge. I am the mother of the groom and I cannot say enough good things about this facility, the staff and the food.
Accommodations: My husband and I and our large extended family stayed at Pine Cottage right next door to the Taproom and Reception room. This home has been totally redone inside while still keeping some of its rustic charm. Many of our guests stayed on the property in the condos and rooms overlooking the lake. All were very happy with their accommodations.
Rehearsal Dinner: Friday, October 5th above the Tap Room. We went with the Pasta Bar dinner. We weren't sure about this however Arden, the Event Planner convinced me that this was a really nice dinner. It was great with enough of a selection for everyone, even the kids.
Wedding: Saturday, October 6th at 3pm. The ceremony was outside by the lake. You could not find a more beautiful setting for a wedding. After the ceremony we moved inside to the Taproom for drinks and appetizers as rain was in the forecast. From there we went up to the reception room on the top floor for the reception. The room is beautiful and was beautifully decorated by the bride's mom with help from the wedding party and family. It also has a large balcony that many guests made use of. The food was awesome – from the salad to the entrees to the dessert table, everything was perfect. The Prime rib was excellent.
I would highly recommend this facility for any big event. (We had approximately 130 people) Arden the event planner was so easy to work with. Amy, the banquet manager was excellent. The staff was also incredibly good. Service was top notch.
We did have open bar for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception.

LBL is an incredible venue - we highly recommend to any couple looking for an amazing wedding weekend experience! My fiance and I had not even visited LBL yet when we decided to book last year for our 10/29/23 event. Upon Facetiming with Rebecca, we knew they had what we had been looking for (i.e. affordability, onsite bar/catering, weather backup plans, guest accommodations, stunning location). Right from the get go, our coordinator Angela was so incredibly helpful with answering questions and keeping up with countless emails back and forth in the months leading up to the wedding. Angela was kind, knowledgeable, flexible, attentive, and transparent. She was seriously a lifesaver for me in moments of minor bridal panic! Our wedding weekend was BEYOND what we could have imagined. Our guests were comfortable and many have shared how impressed they were with the event. We had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner onsite on the second floor of the taproom. Guests then transitioned downstairs for a casual welcome party, later hanging at the fire pit by the lake. My bridal party and I stayed in the Birch cottage the night before the wedding (husband stayed at Maple cottage). Birch was PERFECT for our group of girls and had plenty of space for the stylists who came the next morning. Angela was onsite helping with ceremony/reception setup and came by to check in with me several times on the day of. The weather was overcast and raining on/off - Angela was great at keeping me updated right up until the ceremony to communicate backup options. We were still able to have our ceremony lakeside, but moved it under the tent… still stunning! Cocktail hour easily transitioned to the taproom. Despite the weather, we couldn’t have asked for a better day to celebrate with our loved ones. The staff were all incredible, shuttling us around the property on golf carts and keeping me hidden/dry from the groom before I walked down the aisle! Great food, drinks, epic dance party. We opted out of the catered after party and held our own at the cottage, but the venue has so many options and flexibility to keep the party going! We can’t say enough good things about our experience. Thank you so much 🙂 -

Venue with it all
We began the wedding process by thinking we wanted a backyard wedding- this all changed when starting to plan every little detail! My husband and I quickly realized that a space with both indoor and outdoor event space, food on site, AND lodging on site was ideal! LBL had it all and then some! Our guests all had a blast and everyone raved about the food! Originally, we had planned for our ceremony to take place on the hillside, but with the likelihood of storms, we moved it under the tent which was such an awesome alternative! It did end up raining (then clearing after the ceremony!) but I was SO glad that we had an option that was didn’t force us to be indoors. I would choose LBL all over again in a heartbeat! -

We had our June 2021 wedding at Lake Bomoseen Lodge and it was an absolute dream. Our original wedding (May 2020) was postponed due to the pandemic but Lake Bomo worked with us throughout the whole process. We worked with a couple different staff/day of coordinators but Rebecca and Catherine were ultimately the ones who helped us for our final months of planning and made our day run so smoothly. We had TONS of questions and they were always ready to answer them. They were super professional and our day went exactly as planned.
One of the reasons we loved LBL was because we were able to hold all wedding festivities in one location. Our wedding party and close family/guests stayed in rooms on-site. Our reception dinner was on the second floor of the lodge. The after party was in the first floor taproom (tons of beer selection here!). And whenever we were hungry throughout the weekend, we popped into the taproom for a bite to eat. Probably the best poutine we ever had! Guests arriving early were able to kayak on the lake with kayaks provided by LBL or simply relax along the shore. We took full advantage of the variety of spots at the property throughout the weekend and it was so much fun!
We chose the island space for the ceremony and it was absolutely beautiful! Nesting bald eagles joined us making it unforgettable. Our guests really enjoyed the boatride over to the island. Very memorable. The reception space is so gorgeous and spacious. It was warm once dancing started, but the balcony was very popular with our guests especially during the sunset. The lake itself is a gem. Wherever you are at LBL, you get a great view of Lake Bomoseen.
The food was delicious and we received many compliments from guests. It sounded like some of our guests did not get rolls and some of the dishes were missing mashed potatoes but other than that, the food was great! Waitstaff and bartenders were incredible. Always smiling and helpful and keeping everyone well fed and hydrated. Strong drinks!
We were so so happy with our choice to go with LBL for our wedding location. Highly recommend! -

I cannot recommend Lake Bomoseen Lodge and Taproom enough. The staff went above and beyond to help us with everything. They were thoughtful, helpful, and a JOY to be around. The food was outstanding, the service was flawless and we had a BLAST. -

I found Lake Bomoseen Lodge after my original venue canceled on me, and I'm so glad that I did. It ended up being much nicer than the original place we had picked out. Arden was so helpful throughout the entire process and I can't say enough good things about all of the staff. Even our wedding guests were complementing how professional and friendly the staff was for our wedding. My husband and I did a destination wedding in Vermont so we had a rehearsal dinner Friday, cocktail hour and reception Saturday, and a farewell breakfast on Sunday. We had one hiccup during our rehearsal dinner where they double booked and we didn't have enough seating for our guests, however, the staff pulled out another table and got us set up quickly to fix the issue. Other than that, everything went perfectly and I couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding weekend. We can't wait to go back for our anniversary!
