In LOVE with our photos and the LAD Photography!

We are SO happy that we chose to work with Lauren of LAD Photography for our wedding day! We got married December 2022 at The Cliff House and got our photos back last week and they're absolutely incredible!! Lauren is amazing to work with from start to finish! She did not let one detail go unseen, she was prepared, professional, efficient, and so fun to be around. Not only did she make our day the best experience, the quality of her work is truly amazing. She made sure we got every shot we wanted and we are IN LOVE with our photos. I had very high expectations, wanting my photos to be perfect and the day to be seamless without feeling rushed and I was not disappointed one bit. I highly recommend them to any future bride/groom, you will love her and your photos!

Master photography team, phenomenal photos

If you’re looking for a photographer to perfectly capture the essence of your wedding day, hire Lauren.

My husband and I met Lauren after we browsed through her website’s photography portfolio and were amazed by the drama and beauty of her photos. In our first meeting, she sat with us for over an hour to understand how we wanted our special day to be captured. She asked key questions, offered helpful photography tips (that we still use to this day when taking photos), and expressed her genuine dedication to capturing our wedding like a dream.

After this first interaction with Lauren, my husband and I were absolutely certain and enthusiastic about hiring Lauren as our wedding photographer.

Leading up to the wedding day, we had excellent communication with Lauren. She was responsive, supportive, and made the wedding planning process fun! She set up at least two meetings where we discussed the timeline of the wedding day and the moments we wanted to capture. She also offered helpful advice that ultimately made our day run smoothly.

On our wedding day, Lauren was professional, warm, and honestly helped keep our timeline on schedule. Her soothing, confident energy made me feel like I could relax and enjoy my wedding day. She and her team added excitement, joy, and laughter to our wedding day.

My husband and I formed such a bond with Lauren that on our wedding day, not only was she our photographer, but we thought of her as a wedding guest, a valuable member of our wedding who supported the love my husband and I share.

When we received our wedding photos back from Lauren, we could not believe it. Our photos were as stunning as the ones Lauren’s portfolio that made us fall in love with her work in the first place. We couldn’t believe we were lucky enough to be subjects in her photography masterpieces. (Seriously, no matter what size we frame these photos, they are equally as eye-catching).

I don’t know how Lauren does it. Because the techniques she uses truly captures how the air felt that day — what the atmosphere at the reception sounded like — and how in love my husband and I felt that day. Lauren and her team successfully captured our wedding exactly as we hoped: an absolute dream.

Lauren is BEYOND Fabulous!

Lauren was simply amazing. Having never really planned an event before, never mind a wedding, Lauren was so helpful to me by asking all the right questions to figure out my wants and needs in a photographer. She gave me advice on how to structure the day, best backgrounds for photos, and really rolled with it when it began to rain 10 minutes before our ceremony. She was incredibly helpful in making our wedding day perfect. And I haven't even seen the photos yet!

EDIT: Received my photographs in the time frame Lauren set, and I cry every time I look at them. They are simply beautiful. The lighting, the backgrounds she managed to photograph us in front of, and really capturing how we all felt that day. I am thrilled that she PERFECTLY captured how perfect our day was, and the happiness we all felt. So lucky to have chosen Lauren, you should too!

I hired Lauren to take pictures when I proposed to my girlfriend (now fiancee!)

HIRE HER ASAP! I hired Lauren to photograph when I proposed to my girlfriend in Acadia National Park. I am from New York and had never been there before. Lauren didn't just photograph the proposal. She emailed with me back and forth for MONTHS leading up to the event. She took it upon herself to even visit Acadia before and send me a picture of the location and photoshop an X on the picture so I knew where to stand. Lauren was such an integral part of the proposal process and success. The night before the proposal I didn't like the weather I was seeing and without hesitation, she offered to show up a few hours earlier. I am so happy we made that change because it ended up raining like 30min after we wrapped out our photoshoot. I can't say enough good things about how helpful she was. I haven't even mentioned the actual photographs yet. These came out absolutely amazing! My fiancee loved how they turned out. I am so happy I hired Lauren to photograph my proposal. I now have these amazing pictures to remember such a significant part of our lives.

Lauren is fabulous!

We are beyond happy we chose Lauren as our wedding photographer! She was very professional and easy to work with from the first phone call. We absolutely loved our engagement shoot with Lauren, and were so excited for her to shoot our wedding! Lauren was a very relaxed, calming presence on the wedding day and went above and beyond! From the traditional shots, to the more artistic -- Lauren truly has a great eye. Our photos are so beautiful, crisp and clear. How will we pick our favorites?! :) We love them all so much! Stunning photos

If you’re reading this review…. You have found the absolute BEST photographer there is. CONGRATS! LAD Photography doesn’t even begin to compare to anyone else out there. We are so incredibly lucky to have found Lauren and I knew from our first phone consultation that she was who we had to work with. She is an amazingly talented photographer and genuinely kind, wonderful person. And, she was so much more than a photographer - coordinating every minute of our wedding day and ensuring we stuck to that timing! Lauren was almost like having your own personal wedding planner, providing advice and helping us make decisions along the way, to ensure our day was exactly how we envisioned it. THANK YOU. Throughout all of the planning, we felt so comfortable, re-assured, and stress-free knowing she would be by our side on the big day! Lauren made us feel so at ease and relaxed behind the camera as well, during both our stunning engagement shoot and wedding day. The engagement shoot was the perfect “rehearsal” to our big day. Lauren showed us numerous natural poses (that felt like us) that we could easily remember on our wedding day, so we could get through photos timely. And after the shoot, she asked us for feedback on the photos we loved most, so she could ensure she captured more of our favorite styles for our wedding day. Amazing Photos and Experience!

When my now husband and I first got engaged he knew immediately who he wanted to be our wedding photographer. Having been a big fan of Lauren’s work for so long he had always envisioned her photographing our wedding. We ended up using her for both our engagement photos and wedding photos and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience working with Lauren and the resulting photos. As someone who doesn’t love having their picture taken, I can honestly say that working with Lauren was a breeze. Her helpful suggestions prior to our wedding (she even helped us organize our day of timeline and was in on a surprise I had planned for my husband) and specific instructions the day of helped us get the beautiful photos we were hoping for. Lauren was very easy to communicate with, prompt in her replies to our emails and never made us feel like any questions we had were silly or unimportant. And we had A LOT of questions! The day of the wedding Lauren made everyone feel completely at ease, almost as though we had another friend in the bridal suite with us. And her professionalism was unmatched. She managed to wrangle my large, crazy extended family and organize photos so that my 94-year-old grandmother was able to participate and yet still rest as needed. I will forever be grateful for the photos she captured of my grandmother and myself. She also proved willing to do anything for a shot, including laying in the dirt and grass to get a beautiful shot of my husband and myself across a small pond at our venue. All of this makes Lauren an amazing photographer but what I loved most about working with Lauren is how perfectly she captured the vibe and spirit of our wedding. We wanted a relaxed, fun, low-key day to celebrate with our friends and family and Lauren perfectly captured those feelings in both the posed photos and the more candid shots. We would definitely recommend Lauren and LAD Photography to anyone looking for an amazing wedding photographer. You will have a wonderful experience and walk away with AMAZING photos!

We had LAD as our wedding photographer in July, and couldn't be happier working with Lauren and with our final photos. Lauren was very laid back and easy to work with, and also very professional. Lauren also did our engagement photo shoot and was willing to meet us in Boston so we could have pictures done in our home town. On our wedding day it rained, and Lauren and her assistant photographer were troopers with the weather to get the outdoor pictures we wanted. She even trekked down to the beach with us to get some beautiful ocean shots.

I would highly recommend LAD photography if you are having your wedding in Northen New England! Our final wedding photos were absolutely stunning, and we couldn't have been happier with Lauren's photography services.

Lauren is amazing. She is incredibly thorough and professional. She photographed our surprise engagement photos after she captured my now husband's proposal. We booked her as soon as we could to photograph our wedding. We cannot wait to see our wedding photos. LAD photography covered our wedding on 9/10/16 and I absolutely cannot recommend her enough. She did our engagement photos first this past winter and I'm still getting compliments on them. We used them for our save the dates but I'm even planning on using them again for christmas cards. At the wedding she and her second shooter were absolutely amazing. They never felt intrusive at all but we got some spectacular photos that seem almost impossible considering they were never noticeable the whole night. We now have hundreds of photos of the best night of our lives. I plan to use LAD photography for any and all of my future photography needs. Lauren is also just a really relaxed and cool person that really made you feel at ease. Especially helps on your wedding day!

Lauren photographed my wedding this past October, i recently received my photos and am absolutely in love with them, Lauren is amazing at what she does and is just like a friend when she is there, she drove me and my husband around for photos so everyone else could stay and enjoy the reception, im pretty sure she even stayed late to photograph more of the reception! Our photographer, Lauren, was so much more than a photographer. I never rate anything with a perfect score but without a doubt she deserves it. For us besides the venue a photographer was highly important because we knew that years down the road it's the photographs that would help us to never forget our wedding. We aren't the type who like to get in front of the camera but by the end of our engagement shoot Lauren made us feel comfortable and confident we'd have some incredible photos. If it wasn't for her tips to help us I can't imagine what we'd end up looking like! Her kindness , friendliness and professionalism is above and beyond. She even helped me figure out how to tie my sash on for my wedding dress when none of us could figure it out! Our photos are amazing and the quality is top notch. Her artistic eye is priceless and working with her was so easy even from out of state! We also ordered a photo booth with her which was easy to use and the guests absolutely loved it and let me tell you we got some awesome pictures from it! We'd recommend Lauren in a heart beat and should we need any photos in the future she'll be our first choice!

There are so many aspects when it comes to selecting a wedding photographer and Lauren was flawless at them all! We simply could not picture our wedding day if she was not our photographer. The pictures she took of the day were vibrant, loving and gorgeous. When we saw them, we said to each other how they were exactly how we remembered the day. They showed our day perfectly! Not only did she give us beautiful photos, but also helped us throughout the wedding planning process. From the first consultation, Lauren took the time to find out what we wanted from the day. She answered all of our questions very quickly and gave us so many helpful hints as a wedding professional, that we had no idea about. The engagement photo session is something not to miss with Lauren. It gave us a chance to get familiar with Lauren, and being in front of the camera. When it came to the wedding day, Lauren had done so much preparation (by doing a walk through with us the week of at our venue and creating a schedule) that we never felt rushed and could enjoy the day as she was capturing great images. Your photographer is one of the people that spend the most time with you on the wedding day, and we would not have wanted anyone else to share it with. In searching for a photographer, after cost & talent, I was also looking for someone who got me and my vision for my wedding. The photographer is the vendor that you will be spending the most time with and who will be capturing one of the biggest days of your life (so far). From the first reply back from Lauren I knew that we would jive, and that made my wedding day that much better and stress free.
Having vendors you trust and who help you through the planning process allows you to enjoy your day that much more. Lauren met with us at our venue a few days before the wedding to go over placement and the day's schedule and built a timeline down to the minute. She gave us some tips and pointers in planning the day and having things ready for when she arrived.
We had a few requests from our parents that came up close to the wedding and Lauren was great in accommodating them and or helping us figure out how to accommodate these requests if she could not herself. Every correspondence with Lauren was professional, timely, and treated with respect, down to the random planning questions I would email in the wee hours when I couldn't sleep 8 months before the wedding.
As for the final product? We LOVE LOVE LOVE all of our photos. Every image captures our day beautifully in a colorful photo journalistic style. I couldn't be happier with my choice of hiring Lauren, who I can now call my friend. :)

Lauren was absolutely great to work with. From our first consultation meeting she was so informative and organized and patiently answered all of our silly questions. She also understands how long each phase of the day will take and helped plan a realistic timeline for us. Then she made sure that we stuck to the timeline during the day. She even helped with little things that came up, like helping with the Groom's "boutonniere". For the pictures she sneakily tricked us into having them all outside (in December) and as she promised, they were absolutely worth it! We are absolutely in love with all the pictures we got! We could tell that she really cared about us and wanted to give us great photos for our special day :)

Lauren is a great photographer and makes you feel at ease when she takes your picture. My husband is not good at smiling in photos but she did a great job capturing some great expressions by him in our engagement photos. Lauren was simply amazing from start to finish. When shopping around for a wedding photographer we fell in love with the artistic perspective that we saw in her sample photos. We saw a lot of boring pictures from other photographers, but not so with Lauren. She captures everything from the perfect angle, making each moment memorable. The photos from our wedding came out stunningly and are exactly the way we want to remember the day.

Not only are her pictures amazing but so is her personality. From the first time we met her, she made us feel like we had known her forever and were best friends. She has a contagiously joyful demeanor that put everyone at ease and kept everyone engaged even during group photos. My husband and I hired Lauren to photograph our wedding and engagement photos. She is an awesome person and very easy to get along with. Lauren really makes getting your picture taken easy, even if you are camera shy. Lauren was/ is amazing! She was present to capture the most incredible pictures but not invasive and pushy with poses. Her ideas for "out of the box" photos were exactly what I was looking for!!! I didn't want a run of the mill set of wedding photos, I wanted fun, different shots of us and family and she nailed it!!! She came highly recommended by a friend and it couldn't have been a better fit!!! Perfect perfect perfect!!! :) I cry and laugh and sigh everytime I look at our beautiful pictures. Lauren was the first photographer to reach out to me after I got engaged. She is very organized and efficient. She was on the ball from the very begining, always keeping me informed of the next step, following up on engagement photo information and keeping our timeline on track.
We really appreciate all of Lauren's hard work and dedication to our special day. Our photos are gorgeous, unique, and the price was unbeatable! TAlso the photobooth was a HUGE hit! That was the talk of the evening and we wished we rented it for more then 3 hours!!!

LAD=AMAZING
Lauren was so so great to work with!! We had a winter wedding, it was cold, but so beautiful...her phpotography from our amazing weekend captured each and every moment that I hoped it would!! The best part is Lauren is so easy going, so calming that you would never know it was about 20 degress outside, we were all so happy in all the pictures, every person was so engaged with her and she was able to keep the ball rolling and keep everything on sched for us to get back to the party :)
Lauren was also willing to travel for us, which was awesome!! We got married in The Forks, which is a bit of a hike, not only did she travel for the wedding, but she met with us there a couple weeks prior to the wedding to go over every detail, walk around the property and really understand what my husband and I were looking for in our pictures! It was just working with Lauren as a photographer, but also working with her as a Friend :)
I would HIGHLY recommend Lauren to ANY one who is looking for someone so easy to work with, who is fun and awesome at what she does!!!

I would highly recommend Lauren for any photography needs!! She has done our engagement Photos and we fell in love with all of them. I can't wait to see what she captures on our wedding day!!

Lauren was fabulous!!! Right from the very beginning she was warm, enthusiastic, flexible, and clearly takes a lot of pride in her work. She went way out of her way to come meet with us for a consultation, and after talking to her and seeing her work we were immediately sold. In addition to being a fabulous photographer, Lauren also played a huge role in helping us navigate all of the details for our wedding day. She met us several weeks before to walk through all of the locations and figure out logistics, and man is she a great resource! On our wedding day she was there with a huge smile and great attitude, helping as needed but also completely unobtrusive. She is a pleasure to spend time, and everyone really enjoyed working with her. And our pictures came out PERFECTLY!! We really could not have asked for anything better. Lauren, thank you!! We got our engagement photos back from Lauren in early October and love them all! She met her commitments for when the images would be ready, and far exceeded our expectations in number and quality. We have over 300 incredible images and they all capture our feelings toward one another. I would recommend Lauren to anyone!

Lauren was a perfect fit for us. She did our engagement pictures for us, and will be doing our wedding next August. Her attention to detail and the lighting was amazing. It was a great experience to work with her and I would recommend her to any one of my friends.

A short time after the proposal, I signed up for local vendor contact information on weddingwire.com and many others. Not much time passed and I received a package from LAD Photographer's information in the mail. The letter explained that she was able to get my information through weddingwire.com. Normally, I would have thrown it in the recycling bin and continued on with all that still needed to be done. But, I kept thinking about LAD Photography...The brochure, letter, business card, all super professional with bright colors and beautiful photos. We were about to have a family friend take our photos due to our limited budget. I felt uneasy about it, so I finally called. Lauren answered, extremely professional, incredibly sweet, accommodating and very much willing to do what it would take to help. She was not pushy with selling her self and I felt as if I was speaking with a friend. My Fiancé and I met her a few couple of months later. She treated us to drinks and spent quite of bit of explaining all she could offer and do for us, she brought visuals as well. He loved her too! Throughout process, Lauren made sure to be in constant contact with me. She ALWAYS got back to my messages and calls right away! She went out of her way to accommodate my schedule and meeting me in my hometown to walk through town with me and see what I wanted. She did an amazing job the day of and kept me at ease knowing my photos would be in my hands before I knew it. We received our photos in less than 2 months after our wedding! I think she did a beautiful job and we are incredibly thankful and overall extremely satisfied with the end result. If we could have done anything different, it would be to also include a videographer because we wanted to relive our wedding day so badly the very next day! We were anxious, but through the photos that we received, we were able to see exactly how the day went. We will definitely think of you for future professional photos and highly recommend you!!

Lauren is the best photographer EVER! I have had so many compliments on the pictures, her service, her talent & I was amazed with her attention to detail, her promptness, her creativity & how she clicked with all the guests and captured the right moments (some of which I missed with it being such a busy day for a bride!) I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend her to anyone! (P.S. When the day comes, I can't wait to have her do our maternity/baby pictures!)

Lauren was amazing! She was incredibly fun to work with and we loved her creative sense of style with her photography. I've always said that pictures were the one thing I wasn't going to skip out on but after looking at other photographers I was a little price shocked. With LAD Photography we had an amazing experience and received breathtaking photographs perfectly presented in a coffee table book, among many other items, and didn't have to pay a fortune. Now that some of my friends are getting married I always ask if they have a photographer yet and make sure they check out LAD Photography!

I can not recommend her highly enough. Lauren is not only an amazing photographer, she is so wonderful to work with. I think choosing a photographer is the most important decision anyone can make on their wedding day and I'm so happy we went with her. She made the entire process so fun and so stress-free. If you want beautiful pictures, an extremely fair price and a professional and easy going person, then LAD Photography is the best choice!!

Lauren was AMAZING!! She was very laid back and easy to work with. She had lots of fun ideas, and had no problem catching those special moments. LAD photography went above and beyond for my special day. She stayed late came early, provided helpful tips and the best part she was such and amazing photograher you never even knew she was there! When i finally sat down to review all my wedding photos i had no idea she had taken so many, it really helped me to remember my day from start to finish. And she was absolutely professional!

We were extremely happy with LAD Photography services! Lauren was easy to work with and fit in great as part of the crowd, we had an outdoor wedding and she was up for photographing any of our crazy ideas including climbing on hay wagons and riding 4 wheelers through the woods with her camera just so we could have photos taken in one of our favorite spots near a waterfall. Initially my husband was set on not having a photographer as he thought it was a waste of money, however Lauren's prices were below what everyone else charged and the sample photos were beautiful, so he agreed and to his surprise he is thankful he listened to his wife :) Our photos came out wonderful and we couldn't be happier!

So glad I went with Lauren for my big day!!

Lauren and her second shooter Chris were nothing short of spectacular!! I was really overwhelmed initially trying to find the right photographer for my wedding but once I saw the images on Lauren's website (go check it out if you haven't already!!) I knew we absolutely had to have her! As luck would have it she was available for our big day and we began talking details. From the first call with Lauren she had me laughing so hard I was almost in tears and I felt like I had known her my whole life! She has such an infectious personality and she makes you feel so comfortable through the entire process. Being that she is such a fabulous photographer she is a busy lady but that did not keep her from checking in with me pre and post wedding to make sure everything was perfect. On the day of I was so excited to finally meet Lauren after all the calls and emails and she was just as lovely in person!! It truly felt like having your best friend there to just photograph your big day. I will also say that the groomsmen were a silly and unfocused bunch but they didn't stand a chance against Lauren lol. She did the best job of wrangling them when she needed to but also making sure we still had so much fun through the whole process. We even got some really cool "spooky" pics at the end which I can not wait to see. Lauren really is worth every penny and is the most talented photographer I have ever had the pleasure of working with! Lock her down for your wedding you will not regret it!!

Fantastic!

Lauren was such a joy to work with from the moment we booked her. She was responsive and flexible - even working with us and our budget to create a custom quote for the day. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, kept the day on track, and was lighthearted and creative in her shots. She came up to our camp twice in one week to work with us, once for an engagement shoot and again for the wedding. Our families and friends remarked on how professional she was. Even though she does dozens of weddings a year, Lauren made us feel special and that she took a real personal interest in us as people and in making our wedding day so fun. She was wonderful - I would recommend her to anyone getting married in Maine or New England!
