My husband and I got married at La Quinta Resort this past October and can honestly say that it was the best weekend of our lives! The Resort itself is an extremely magical place and we were able to give our guests a full weekend of pure desert bliss. We cannot recommend Jasmina and her team enough! She is so kinda and sweet, very responsive and available and helped us and our coordinator with incredible details like being able to incorporate our invitation design on our gorgeous wedding cake.
The nature of Palm Desert, we ended up with a very hot weekend and decided to make a last minute change to our Ceremony location so that our guests were not directly under the sun. At any other venue, this could have been a disaster but it wasn't at all - it was an easy pivot to a slightly more shaded area. Again, Jasmina reassured us and we felt comforted and ultimately much happier with the change. Added bonus that our photos turned out incredible!
Also a huge shout out to the culinary and bar team - our guests loved the food and we had a hard time picking at our tasting because we loved everything they served us! We even had a specialty cocktail created for us that again incorporated our wedding colors/theme. If that's not a vibe - I don't know what is.
The service is wonderful and paced beautifully, the facilities are stunning, everyone is warm and welcoming - you cannot go wrong. -

We would choose La Quinta for our wedding venue over and over again. We had the best experience, from the staff's customer service, to the amenities and event support. Jasmina was incredible! Not only did she help our dream wedding come to life, but she was with us every step of the way offering support, getting to know our families, and bringing her energy through to the very end when she came to the wedding.
The resort staff is exceptional. The FOOD blew the roof off.
And to top it off, this historic hotel is nestled in the beautiful desert canyons that provide the best backdrop. 10/10 recommend. -

Our wedding at La Quinta Resort was truly magical, an experience beyond our wildest dreams. Jasmina felt more like a trusted friend than just a vendor. She went above and beyond, answering every question—no matter the time—and guiding us every step of the way. She recommended our wedding planner and nearly every other vendor we needed, each of whom played a crucial role in making our day absolutely perfect.
The food was phenomenal (Jasmina handpicked the menu for us). Since we live far away, we skipped the tasting, but everything exceeded our expectations. Looking back, there’s not a single thing we would change about how we planned it. The service was impeccable, and every moment was filled with joy.
It was, without a doubt, the best day my husband and I could have ever imagined. I’m not typically someone who writes reviews, but I genuinely can’t say enough to express how incredible our experience was with the resort and its amazing team.

I just had my wedding here the past weekend and wow. I had the most magical and special day. Jasmina is a superstar and took care of us like we were family. Everyone at la Quinta went above and beyond and I did not feel stressed or worried. I had people coming up to me asking why I was so calm and it’s mostly because of Jasmina and the La Quinta team being so professional, kind, and helpful with whatever we needed. I will forever remember all of their hard work and dedication and feel so grateful to have chosen this special place for my big day. Thank you!!! -

My fiancé and I were looking to have a small and intimate wedding ceremony but could not find a beautiful and reasonably priced location. After almost giving up hope, I called La Quinta Resort and had the pleasure of speaking to Darin Sturgill who helped coordinate our wedding ceremony and made the entire process very easy and stress free. There was great communication from the La Quinta staff and were always available for any calls or questions. Our ceremony was perfect and had beautiful views for all the wedding photos. Definitely recommend La Quinta Resort for any and all of your wedding needs. Also great as a getaway location! -

We got married at La Quinta Resort in May 2025 and had an incredible experience overall. The property is gorgeous. The mountains, the flowers, the architecture. It’s hard to beat. It gave our wedding the perfect mix of elegance and relaxed desert charm.
From the beginning of planning through the wedding weekend, Jasmina, our catering manager, was one of the best parts of the whole process. She’s smart, kind, stayed calm even when things got a little hectic, and was always one step ahead. Anytime we had a question or something unexpected came up, she got back to us quickly and helped us figure it out. She made us feel like she really cared and always had our backs, and we were so lucky to have her in our corner.
Because of a heatwave, we had to move our ceremony last minute to the waterfall under the tree. The original lawn space was too exposed. Luckily, that spot wasn’t booked and the resort made the switch without any hesitation. It ended up feeling peaceful and intimate and looked beautiful surrounded by greenery. Cocktail hour was in the El Presidente Suite, which had such a fun and cozy vibe. Then we moved to the San Vicente Courtyard for dinner and dancing. That space was absolutely magical once the string lights turned on. Everything just flowed in a way that felt easy and made sense as the night went on.
Veronica oversaw all the food for both our welcome party and the wedding day, and she was amazing. She’s incredibly thoughtful about how things are set up and how guests will experience them. She spotted little things before they became problems and just handled them. It’s clear she takes a lot of pride in what she does and wants things to go well.
The food itself was fantastic. We had so many guests tell us it was some of the best wedding food they’ve ever had. The appetizers were fun, dinner was delicious, and everything came out smoothly. The staff was friendly and professional and kept everything moving on time without it ever feeling rushed. The only part of the planning that could have been a little smoother was the room block. It sometimes took a while to get a response from the person managing it, which added a bit of stress in the lead-up. But it all came together and didn’t take away from the overall experience.
One little heads-up if you’re planning a spring or fall wedding: ask when the resort plans to switch out the seasonal flowers. You might have a certain look in mind and then arrive to find something totally different. Also check if there’s a corporate buyout happening near your date. Even if it officially starts after your wedding, setup could begin days earlier with signage or temporary structures that shift the feel of the resort.
La Quinta is a large resort with a lot of moving parts. There are food and beverage minimums, service charges, and if you’re outdoors, music has to stop at 10 PM because of city rules. But if you’re organized and get to work with people like Jasmina and Veronica, it’s more than worth it. We had a weekend full of love, joy, and beautiful moments and wouldn’t change a thing. -

Wonderful wedding experience in the desert
We had a lovely experience at La Quinta both working with the team leading up to the big day and the entirety of the weekend. The events and catering team were professional and so friendly - They took care of everything and made our wedding weekend dreams a reality! -

La Quinta. I have never encountered a place like La Quinta that truly does not want your business and is so rude about it. Beware, they will GHOST you without any explanation or kindness. It took weeks to get anyone on the phone. That should have been the initial red flag. Then I travelled from the East Coast to schedule a site visit on a Friday morning with Sandy Maurin. They night before, they called and tried to cancel on me, even though they knew I had traveled across the country to be there. When I showed up, they kept me waiting 30 minutes, and the person who showed up was not the events coordinator, Sandy Maurin, I had made an appointment with. Nevertheless she (Gladys) was great and showed us around. She said she'd get back to us with a quote and date options. I waited a week and wrote a nice follow up email. I waited another week. Then another. I waited three weeks, sending follow ups and leaving messages all the while. No return call. No nothing. I was ready to give up but my mother, a longstanding La Quinta guest (70 years in our family visiting La Quinta) called the hotel manager and complained and they connected us right away to Sandy Maurin. It felt like an actual miracle to locate this person. We gave Sandy the benefit of the doubt, had a nice conversation, and planned a second site visit for one week later. I thought – maybe she just had a rough month, let’s give them the benefit of the doubt. Again, we asked for a proposal, for dates, etc. She said she would get them to us by the end of the day, we made sure she had our email address, that she had my number, that I had her info. She also said she would include a discount code for booking our stay for the site visit which was less than 6 days away. And then AGAIN....they ghosted us! No call, no proposal, no codes, no nothing. I called back each day of the week. Left a message, sent emails. I wrote, I don’t feel comfortable planning a cross-country trip for a site visit without the proposal or being able to reach you. I haven’t heard from them since. No apology, no contact. Be advised.
