Kyra did my hair at my sisters wedding, and I knew I needed to book her for mine. She walked in and was so kind and fun. We were singing to the music and laughing the entire time. It was impossible to worry or be anxious. My hair looked incredible and stayed incredible all night. It looked flawless by the end of the night. There was not one thing I wish went differently about this experience. She really was such an important part of my wedding day. I will never stop recommending Kyra!!!

The best hairstyle for your wedding day!
Kyra was so helpful, especially in my trial. I am used to having my hair down, but I wanted my hair up because of the back of my dress. Kyra gave me both options in the trial to see what worked best. She got 7 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and 1 bride ready all in less than 5 hours. Every one of us loved our hair. I can never get my hair to hold a curl like Kyra got it to that day. She was so much fun to work with and I wanted her to stay for the party! I would recommend Kyra to every bride.

Amazing Experience!
I worked with Kyra and her amazing assistant for my wedding on November 2nd. Kyra was extremely easy and enjoyable to work with. I had 12 girls getting their hair done and every single one of my girls were so happy with their hair. It was so fun having Kyra with us all morning. Myself (bride), my daughter, my bridesmaids and mother in law were so happy and satisfied with our hair for my big day! My hair doesn’t hold a curl for anything and it didn’t budge at all even after 5+ hours of dancing around and having a blast. We received so many compliments about how beautiful our hair was and the braids in my hair were absolutely stunning. My daughter’s hair is so fine but her hair held up perfectly as well! With doing a first look before the ceremony, I was concerned about timing and Kyra was so quick that those worries went completely away! I highly recommend Kyra for all of your hair needs!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kyra! I wasn’t able to do a trial, so I just showed her a picture of what I wanted on my wedding day and my hair looked even better than the picture. She was so professional, so sweet and really listened to what I wanted as well as the rest of my bridesmaids. Kyra was absolutely amazing! I cannot say enough about how wonderful she is! I didn’t do a trial, showed Kyra a picture the day of and she absolutely nailed it!!! She arrived on time (it was early! 6am) was friendly, ready to go and just had all around good energy. There were 7 people who needed hair done, we were all done with time to spare for touch ups and our final looks were absolutely perfect! I can’t recommend Kyra enough, look no further!

Kyra is a miracle worker with all types of hair! She made myself, all of the bridesmaids and my mother-in-law, feel and look like princesses on my wedding day! I had originally had another hair stylist lined up but ended up flaking on my two months before the wedding. My makeup artist (Emily Elle Makeup) pointed me in her direction and thankfully she was available for my big day! I went in for a trial and instantly felt so much more comfortable and happy with the results! Did make my hair look EXACTLY the way I wanted it to and I couldn’t have gotten so lucky! She listened to what everyone in my wedding party wanted and made it happen with a smile on her face! I highly recommend it if you're looking for a hair stylist to go with Kyra Hair! Kyra did my hair for my wedding as well as my mom's, my husband's mom's, bridemaids, and my flower girl. I loved my hair during the trial and very few changes for my wedding day. Kyra is not only talented and takes your hair from normal to wedding ready, but is encouraging along the way! I can’t tell you how much it helps to have someone in your corner for the day of your wedding, and Kyra was that and more.
I was able to meet with her for a bridal trial where we came up with exactly what I wanted for my hair. With weddings there are so many opinions, and kyra wants to help you with yours. Where can I even start, my wedding was postponed after covid so with continuous bumps along the way kyra stayed absolutely perfect. She was just so reassuring and positive, she was always honest, never pushy and always patient. I had 14 women that needed their hair done and she killed it with every single style. I was so incredibly happy with my experience with Kyra. My dream was to have my hair styled 1/2 up for my wedding day but I've struggled in the past with my pin straight hair holding a curl. Kyra was able to create the look I wanted without using heavy products in my hair to keep a more natural look. And it stayed all night! Kyra is an amazing hair stylist. She was super flexible with my trial and coordinated it with my makeup artist so I only had to travel up to Poughkeepsie once. I brought my sister with me and the four of us chatted the entire time and when all was done, I turned around and felt so beautiful. Kyra suggested I try something different than what I had in mind and she was right! Leading up to the wedding we worked out a timeline and she did not run over at all. Everyone's hair, including mine which I changed up again (!!), looked amazing and lasted the entire evening - and into the next morning. The nicest part of the getting ready process was that Kyra and her assistant felt like party of the wedding party. All the girls said how fun it was having them around and what a great job they did. If you're reading this review trying to find a hairstylist for your wedding look no further. I'm sure you have a ton of pictures saved on Pinterest so you can get the PERFECT hair-do for your huge day. Well, Kyra will take all those inspiration pictures and bring them to life! Kyra did an amazing job with my wedding day hair! She has a real talent for taking your vision or picture and making it a reality. Kyra and her assistant did hair for 12 people total and still finished before schedule, which made the morning of the wedding very stress free. Kyra is also a great person to have around in the morning - she is super nice and has a positive energy which is so important on the morning of the wedding. I have been lucky enough to know Kyra since we were 5 years old, and have her stand by me as one of my bridesmaids at my wedding this last September. It was a no brainer that Kyra would be doing my hair...and the hair of 8 bridesmaids and several mothers who needed some help.

Kyra is an amazing hair stylist and was wonderful to work with! When I went for my trial she was so welcoming and willing to work with me to make sure my hair came out exactly how I wanted it to, she offered suggestions and was always available if I had questions. On the day of my wedding she worked on me and the 8 ladies in my bridal party to create the styles that each of them envisioned. She was able to finish everyone on time and Kyra and Megan were a pleasure to have around during that busy morning! I absolutely loved my hair and she was able to incorporate my head piece into the style beautifully, it held up the whole night and I got so many compliments. Kyra did beautiful work. She was flexible and handled a large group of family very efficiently. She is fun to spend hours with and worked great with all the other vendors. Kyra is the BEST!
Kyra blew me away! From start to finish, she was easy to work with, communicative, and a pleasure to get to know! She and her assistant worked seamlessly together to curl and style 12 of us in under 4 hours. I have to admit, I was nervous about timing, but Kyra reassured me that everyone would get styled with time to spare, and she was totally right. She even was able to curl my aunt's hair, although she originally wasn't on the schedule. Kyra created a hair style for all of my girls (including my mom) that they absolutely loved. I was in love with my hair and got so many compliments! She was one of the best decisions I made during the wedding process, and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, easy to work with, so sweet, and talented!

Kyra did my hair for my wedding, as well as my immediate family's hair, and everyone loved the end result! We had done a hair trial before the wedding and discussed several looks and she made my side ponytail style look exactly like a few pictures I brought in. We worked together to discuss hair accessories and what would work best, and come the day of the wedding, everything looked perfect and stayed in place.
From a beautiful, classy side ponytail to incorporating a weave into my mom's hairstyle, she was skilled, professional and a great, calming presence to have in the room on a day full of nerves. Amazing Wedding Experience - Highly Recommend
I got married on 6/8/19, and one of the best decisions I made during the wedding process was hiring Kyra as my hair stylist. If she is available, I would recommend booking her immediately. From the trial to the wedding day, she was committed to making my look come to life. Leading up to the wedding, she was quick to respond and very easy to work with. At the trial, she listened to all of my wants and needs, and crafted the perfect hair style by combining a few looks I loved -- and it came out exactly (really exactly!) as I was hoping for. On the day-of, she was on-time, efficient, and generally just a calming presence to have around in the bridal suite. All of the maids and moms loved how their hair came out, and one of my maids is even going to try and book her for her upcoming wedding! My hair held up the entire day and night, and even after a full night on the dance floor, my curls were still looking great -- which is unheard of for my naturally pin-straight hair. I received so many compliments on my hair the whole day! I have been looking back at all of the photos from our wedding, and I am so happy Kyra was able to make me feel and look like the bride I always imagined. I couldn't recommend someone more highly. Kyra and her assistant did the hair for myself and 13 others for my wedding a few weeks ago. I loved how my hair turned out and received many compliments all evening! Despite having such a large group, Kyra was able to keep us on track and even finished up ahead of schedule with plenty of time for touch-ups. So Incredibly Talented!
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with Kyra for my July 2017 wedding! After my trial with my first hairstylist didn't go as planned, Kyra was recommended to me by another one of my vendors. From our very first conversation, Kyra assured me that she would do everything in her power to ensure that I loved my wedding hair. I traveled to NY to do my hair trial with Kyra and using only a few of my pictures for inspiration, she nailed the look that I was going for! Words can't describe the incredible emotion I felt that day after seeing how talented Kyra is. All of my anxiety and hesitations about my wedding hair were put to rest. On the day of my wedding, Kyra again showed how AMAZINGLY TALENTED she is! She took time with each of my bridesmaids to discuss the hairstyle that they wanted for that day. Needless to say, all of my bridesmaids raved about how much they LOVED their hair! Kyra was able to flawlessly give them the look they were going for, while adding her own unique touch to each girl's hair. Not to mention that our hair remained intact despite a 90 degree wedding reception :) To this day, I am still so thankful for Kyra and her endless talent as a hairstylist. All my girlfriends agree that she is gifted and truly the best! She did my best friend’s wedding, my sister’s and mine! Kyra was awesome about helping me make up my mind about my hairstyle because I am so indecisive. She sat and told me all the pros and cons of the three different styles I wanted. Literally could not be anymore thankful that she explained it all because of my 360 grams of clip in hair extensions I was using. The day of my wedding she showed up on time and got the girls going. Last minute I of course wanted to change my hair and she talked me out of it because it was SO HOT(beyond thankful she talked me out of it again lol). My next concern that day was all the hair and having to wear it all day which causes a MAJOR headache so instead of pinning my hairstyle with bobby pins she loop tied the style with the actual hair making it so much more comfortable for my head. She touched all the girls up and lastly me. Forgot about my veil after she already had left she came back and showed my maid of honor how to put it in and take it out. Also left us a bottle of hair spray and bobby pins just in case. The last picture is AFTER my wedding at 10pm at night my hair held incredibly well considering it was 85 degrees. It was absolutely AMAZING working with Kyra for my wedding. In fact it was so amazing that she has become my personal hairstylist since my wedding day 2 years ago. She is so personable. I always enjoy seeing her! She listens to your needs and exceeds expectation every time. Super down to earth and makes each visit fun and relaxed.
Her level of professionalism, kindness, and expertise is unmatched. Our initial consultation was so fun and it was great to have her opinion on different looks and styles for the wedding day since I had no idea what I wanted to do. She was so patient and answered all of my questions.
She made me feel so wonderful and comfortable on my wedding day- I couldn’t imagine spending the morning with a better person during such an important time. I can’t tell you how many compliments I received on my hair that day... and still to this day! I was even featured in a photo in Huffington Post weddings and I think Kyra’s awesome abilities had something to do with that! It was a great day, made even greater by Kyra’s kindness and skill.
If you have not chosen a hairstylist for your wedding yet, Kyra is the girl to use!! You will not be disappointed!

Kyra styled my hair for my August 2017 wedding and I couldn't have been more pleased! She was accommodating, extremely easy to work with, and personable. When a scheduling conflict arose with the original stylist I booked, she and Kyra worked together to ensure I would be in good hands. Kyra accepted the job and was even willing to interrupt her vacation in order to make herself available for my wedding date. She immediately put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. Speaking with her was like having a conversation with an old friend. She listened to the style I had in mind and delivered. I had no worries about my hair on my special day, and it was as stunning as I had envisioned. I would highly recommend Kyra for your special event. Thank you, Kyra!

I cannot thank Kyra (and Angela) enough for their kindness, professionalism and making me feel like the most beautiful bridal version of myself on my wedding day. To say that I loved my bridal hair is an understatement. From our initial conversation, to trial, to day of, Kyra was an absolute dream to work with all around. I cannot say enough great things about Kyra. She was timely with answering emails regarding pricing. She did an amazing job at my trial and was very willing to put extensions in my hair and a few of my bridesmaids. The day of the wedding she was on time and did an amazing job with everyone’s hair. She even came to the church where we got married because she didn’t want me to have to put my veil on until right before the ceremony as it was long and difficult to hold in the limo. She really went above and beyond. She even helped straighten my dress before I walked down the aisle. I am so thankful to have had Kyra there and would recommend her to any bride.

Kyra was absolutely amazing. She made everyone look flawless! She created everyone look just by seeing a picture of what they liked. For the people who weren’t sure what they wanted she created an image in her mind. She is really such an artist when it comes to updos! She’s quick to respond to questions and is super flexible with your schedule. She is extremely personable and you can tell that she loves what she does. She puts so much effort into making your dream hairstyle come true. I highly recommend anyone who is engaged to contact her! You will not regret it one bit! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and my hair was PERFECT! Thank you Kyra for everything you did in preparation for the day to the last bobby pin!

Kyra was such a great addition to my team at my wedding. She showed up earlier, made sure to give each girl touch ups right before pictures! She did different hair styles for everyone in my bridal party and each one was PERFECT! From simple side braids, full up dos, 50’s style, and a French twist! Everyone loved their style and Kyra was so much fun to have in our suite while we were all getting ready! One of my guests has already booked her for her own wedding she was so impressed!

Kyra is such a talented hair stylist! She did a wonderful job and my hair was beautiful! The only unfortunate thing was communication, but that may be due to technical issues. Either my emails didn't push through or vice versa.

Kyra was fantastic! Both the trial and the big day went flawlessly, she had all 6 of us ladies looking amazing in a snap. Kyra is so talented and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her if you're looking for the best wedding hair stylist in NY!

Kyra went above and beyond to make me and my ladies look beautiful on my wedding day! After my hair trail with her I knew she was easily the one for my wedding. She was so down to earth and was so accommodating with my big wedding party. I can’t wait to recommend her to my friends and family!
