The best wedding planners!
We worked with Stephanie Garza for our wedding, and she was absolutely amazing. When we hired her, the only thing we had booked was our venue. Stephanie provided great recommendations for all of our vendors, and I loved that she would send us a couple of preliminary options to look at so we didn't feel overwhelmed. She very professionally gave us her opinion when asked, but never imposed on our wants or ideas. She communicated and organized all of our vendors on our behalf, and let us know exactly what to expect at each part of the process. Our wedding was absolutely perfect because of her hard work! -

Erica was my everything!
Erica was my month of planner and went beyond my expectations. She was extremely organized and a fantastic communicator between myself, the venue, and vendors. Her years of experience really shone through and her work is flawless! She had everything mapped out and made me feel prepared and calm. I would recommend her services to anyone! Erica is amazing! -

A true lifesaver!
There are literally no words to describe how much I love Kristin. She came to our rescue after we had to fire our other planner. Kristin jumped right in. Within a week, she had meetings set up with different vendors and we were in the fast lane having to catch up. She talked me off the ledge of mental breakdowns and stressful nights more than she probably should have! When I tell you this girl was on Team Bride, she will be your best friend, therapist, cheerleader, and quarterback. My husband and I were an out-of-town couple getting married at Camp Lucy in Dripping Springs. Having Kristin allowed us to start to enjoy wedding planning. Pre-Kristin, not so fun. With Kristin, the best! She coordinated vendor meetings for us to make our time and visits down to Dripping Springs the most efficient they could be.
Leading up to the wedding, nothing changed. She was communicative and on the ball with our final walk through, changes to day of details, what was needed of me, what to expect, rainy day plans (thank goodness we talked about that!), etc. Day of the wedding, the weather was NOT ideal but she literally gave us till the last possible second to make our decision on our rainy day plan. We ultimately went for it and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, it did rain but when I tell you that I was calm, cool, and collected I owe it to her. I will never forget her carrying the train of my dress to the aisle, crouched down behind me, in the rain, to make sure my dress was pristine. She handled the change of plans when guests were arriving and just took the reins. Our reception went without a hitch and when it was all said and done, we couldn't have done it without her. Honestly. My husband, who was a skeptic on whether we needed a planner had said that she was our quarterback and that everyone needs her.
When she sent us off, I was sad knowing that my planning time with her was done because I genuinely love Kristin. She will always be special to us. If you are on the fence about whether you need a planner, this is your sign to hire Kristin ASAP. My only regret is that I didn't find her sooner.-

Phenomenal!
We loved having Stephanie as our planner!! She did such an amazing job and I truly think the wedding would not have gone as well as it did if it wasn't for her.
She was so great with communication months out from the wedding and was always available to join us on tastings and join calls with our vendors! She answered numerous questions and addressed so many concerns I had! I had no doubt she would do a great job!
Then came our wedding week-- she was so helpful and encouraging! She had a flat tire on the way to our rehearsal and felt so bad. Which was absolutely not necessary!! She led a great, concise rehearsal and had us out on time!
Wedding day could not have run more smoothly. I was so relieved to have all the planning done and knew Stephaine would capture my vision, which she absolutely did! Even better than I imagined. I had so many guests compliment me and I could not be more grateful! She thought of every detail and was happy to help in whatever way she could.
Thank you for making our wedding so perfect and memorable! -

Best Wedding Planner!
Words cannot describe how amazing it was to work with our planner Erica. She was so professional, organized, knowledgable, and kind. She helped execute the day perfectly and helped me with my wedding decision making throughout my wedding planning process. I would 10/10 recommend to anyone considering hiring a planner. Incredibly attentive, knowledgable and FUN!
Her attention to details was unmatched. I did not worry about a single thing in the months leading up to and especially the day of the wedding.
On top of her professionalism, she was so fun to work with and excited about our vision for our big day.

Best of the best!
Best decision we ever made was working with Erica Catter. As mother of the bride we thought we were on a good track doing our own planning (I’m a project manager by profession, just another project right?) but 4 months into it we still had a ton of details to work out and two busy jobs of our own. Bringing in Erica allowed us to stop guessing and googling, enjoy the process and feel comfortable that everything was on track. She was thoughtful, creative, fun to work with, and a bit of a miracle worker! She found awesome vendors that were booked but somehow fit us in, our day of went off without a hitch (at least we never saw any, thank you Erica for that), our guests were so complimentary of the beautiful event, and we have great memories forever. If I were to make one change it would be to have brought her in even earlier!-

The best planner in the Austin area
We LOVED working with Kristin Catter. As a young couple moving to a new area, we knew that we needed a wedding planner. From our first call with Kristin, we knew that she was a planner we could wholly trust and would help us plan a beautiful wedding. Kristin makes wedding planning so much easier - she led us to our vendors, she negotiated contracts, and we can imagine that she did so much more behind the scenes that we likely do not know about. We appreciated that she has an excellent taste for her couples' styles - based on our conversations, she would anticipate what we would or wouldn't like. (She even created a floral mood board for us!) Kristin also helped us make the best choices with our guests in mind, e.g. making sure we would be pleasing all with our dinner menu, including the picky eaters. Perhaps most importantly, her attention on our wedding allowed us to enjoy and soak in the day. We would wholeheartedly recommend Kristin to anyone looking for a wedding planner in Austin. -

Kristin Catter Events is the best!
I can't thank Erica Catter enough! Our LBJ Wildflower Center wedding turned out great and stress free thanks to her and her team. Looking back I'm glad we made the decision to get a month of coordinator. I could not imagine dealing with multiple vendors on the day of and have it run so smoothly and on schedule. Erica helped steer us in the right direction in our month out meeting for any details we missed in planning, and was a huge help when we had to change our outdoor plans due to the weather. Our event was beautiful!
Side note, it was always reassuring to hear early in our planning process when other vendors like our DJ, Caterer, and dessert company say good things when you mention Kristin Catter Events. -

Kristin - Above & Beyond
I cannot give you better wedding advice than to hire a wedding planner more than month of. Kristin made the wedding experience for us. She is hyper-competent and understood my vision and taste within minutes. Her communication is truly best in class - very quick responses. She made moving dates (hello pandemic) seamless. She executed everything flawlessly in a non-traditional wedding venue (Wildflower Center). Above and beyond what I had hoped for! -

Highly recommend Kristin Catter Events!
Stephanie Garcia from Kristin Catter Events was our month-of wedding coordinator. She and her two assistants were AMAZING. I was an out-of-state bride, so Kristin and Stephanie got on facetime with me for a walkthrough of my venue a few weeks out. They asked very specific questions and kept thorough notes. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Stephanie was incredibly responsive. I sent her a few detailed emails with pictures of how I'd like things to be placed, and she and the assistants pulled it off flawlessly. It was better than I ever could have done myself. Stephanie totally had our backs, and I fully trusted her and her team. It was an immense relief to have them on the day of the wedding. I 100% recommend working with them! -

Kristin is amazing!
From our 1st interaction with Kristin (a brief telephone conversation) we knew right away she was the perfect person to help plan our wedding! She is an event planning genius and extremely detail oriented, from the get go she had several ideas to craft our fusion Pakistani-American wedding! Both my husband and I have busy schedules and live outside of Austin, but we were very comfortable with Kristin at the helm. She gave us weekly updates on the progress of our wedding planning and was always available with any questions we had or any issues we came across. She also took charge of contacting the various vendors (e.g. catering, florals, cakes, photography / videography, etc.) and made our dream wedding come to life seamlessly. On the day of our wedding she made sure everything ran according to plan without a hitch. Kristin is the perfect person to hire to help coordinate each step of your wedding from A to Z; her bubbly personality alongside her attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond are unmatched!-

Amazing Month of/Day of Coordinator
Like many couples, we had to push our wedding back a year due to COVID. Kristin was booked for our new date but her sister Erica was thankfully available. Meeting with Erica a month out from the wedding made us feel so much better about everything. She clearly knew the venue well, had great insights and recommendations on layout and timeline and how to ensure everything worked out smoothly the day of. One of our shuttles for our hotel guests completely cancelled 3 days before our wedding, and Erica jumped into action to call around and luckily was able to find replacements. The day of, she handled everything with our vendors, including dealing with one that wasn't so great. She and her assistant made sure our tables looked beautiful, and all of our alcohol and personal items made it on our shuttles back to the hotel, we truly didn't have to worry about anything the day of. Would highly recommend this team for your wedding, you will not regret it! -

A lifesaver!
Kristin was the leader we needed! Our church coordinator bailed on us at the rehearsal and luckily Kristin was there ready to go even though she had only planned to stop by and say "hi" before the big day. She stepped in, saved the day, and got everyone ready to walk down the aisle. Throughout the wedding planning process Kristin really got some great deals for us to have our dream wedding on a budget! I have had multiple people ask who my wedding planner was because they saw her in action at our wedding and were so impressed by her. We could not have asked for a better wedding planner and I am happy to recommend Kristin Catter Events to anyone! -

Wonderful Planners!
When our first coordinator ended up not showing up a month out of our wedding date we weren't sure what on earth we were going to do. We found Kristen Catter Events through our venue and were lucky enough to get to work with Erica. She picked up the pieces of our wedding planning without a hitch and got to work. On the day of, she and her assistant took charge and made sure everything went smoothly. We can't thank her enough and anyone would be lucky to get to work with her. -

Wedding planners that care!
Kristin Catter Events is literally the best option for anyone planning a wedding. My wife is a severely type A personality and has difficulty giving up control. One can imagine how stressed we got while planning our big day; in addition to dealing with a global pandemic. Not only was Stephanie an exquisitely skilled coordinator that had impeccable attention to detail. She also did such an amazing job at stepping in and taking the stress off our shoulders and easing us through the most important day of our lives. Hiring Stephanie was the best decision that we made! -

Unmatched - she's simply the Best
Kristin Catter was one of the key reasons our wedding went so perfectly. She proves time and time again that there is a reason she is literally THE BEST.
Her & her company are incredibly professional and have wedding planning down to an art form. She helped me plan a dream wedding while I was 1000 miles away during a pandemic as a healthcare worker spending most of my days in a hospital. She was incredibly respectful of our concerns and covid protocols/plans, and made sure that no matter what our event went flawlessly. She has an unmatched work ethic & drive.
She has strong working relationships with *so* many people in Austin & in Texas, everyone knows her and loves to work with her - those connections were so critical to us having so many options for our wedding. She gets things done, and keeps you organized so you can plan a wedding and also focus on whatever else life is throwing at you.
My husband at first thought we didn't need a wedding planner. But then every month planning our wedding he repeatedly said "Oh thank God we have Kristin helping with this, there's no way we could do this without her".

Kristin Catter is THE BEST! Our wedding was absolutely perfect and we could not have done it without Kristin. She was so patient and helpful throughout our entire planning process. Her advice and expertise when it came to hiring other vendors and planning every detail was priceless. We received so many compliments on how beautiful all of the details were and how everything ran so smoothly. A few weeks before the wedding, we had a few hiccups come up with family and Kristin was there to help us every step of the way and remind us that the wedding was all about us and our love for each other. She went above and beyond what I would have expected from any wedding planner. She truly cares about her clients and is so passionate about her work. So amazing!
Man, where to even start. Hiring a wedding planner was something I never thought we would do but we are so glad we did. From the very beginning, Kristin made us feel at ease and comfortable knowing we were in good hands. She always would say “us” and “we” and “team” which doesn’t seem like a big deal but it always made us feel like we are on the same side working together and I loved that. She is very detail oriented and will ensure you have the wedding of your dreams!!! I still am replaying her walking out on the dance floor with our glow sticks and was thinking to myself, “wow she’s amazing.” Also needs to be noted we had to postpone our wedding and had a lot of last minute changes and cancellations. Kristin handled it all with ease and made sure all vendors were good to go for the day of. -

If you want a successful wedding, hire Kristin!
Working with Kristin was absolutely amazing because if I ever had a question, she always had an answer and a way to make it happen without stressing me out. We worked with Kristin for the month before our wedding and day of, and I remember first sitting down with her and telling her she cured my anxiety (this wasn't a lie). She literally bent over backward to ensure our day was the best it could be (and it was amazing). She made our cake dreams come true, got us a fancy getaway car, and made sure people were where they needed to be. I tell everyone that if they're planning a wedding to get a coordinator/planner because it's one of the best wedding investments you can make. Kristin made sure that everyone went according to plan and I didn't have anything to worry about! She is a rockstar and will help you across the finish line. -

Necessity!
My venue required a day of coordinator and at first I was actually bummed out because of my budget and how I thought that requirement would really impact it. I could not be happier with who we picked as a coordinator. We booked Kristin and her team for the month of because this was the first wedding within either of our families and we really had no idea what to expect. We are also not planners. Kristin made sure we had everything in order and made AWESOME suggestions for certain vendors even before the month of coordinating began. The day went so smoothly thanks to her and her team and I know there were definitely a few behind the scenes tasks taken care of to make sure I wasn’t stressed in anyway. Thank you guys so much! -

Better than I could have wished for!
From the very first meeting we had with Kristin and her team, I knew they were the ones I wanted to trust our most important day to. Their many years of experience coupled with their no-BS attitude and ability to nail my vision to perfection makes them unparalleled in the industry.
Our wedding was at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, which can be a tricky venue due to its vast size, short time frame for set-up, and multiple locations for all the events. It seemed like a piece of cake for Kristin and Lindsey and they executed everything flawlessly. The mark of a true professional wedding coordinator is the fact that I didn't even have to think about any logistics that day - everything was timed and coordinated (seemingly) effortlessly to where the whole day just flowed naturally. I'm SURE there were hiccups throughout the day - I mean what wedding day goes off without a hitch? - but my husband and I were blissfully unaware of any mishaps and could be present in each and every important moment.
Their communication was always prompt and efficient. I don't think I ever waited more than a couple hours for an email response. Lindsey was our actual day-of coordinator but her and Kristin and the whole KCE team was always in perfect sync and if I told something to one person, they always made sure everyone was on the same page. To me, this was so valuable especially as the day got closer and vendor communication was bananas.
We hired KCE for month-of coordinating. I was warned about this by several other vendors because there is always risk that something will get dropped if the coordinator isn't involved from the beginning. Let me tell you, Lindsey and Kristin did the best job of picking everything up at that month mark and owning it. I felt such a sense of relief when I handed everything off to Lindsey and could actually relax and not be a ball of stress the month leading up to wedding day. What a beautiful gift to give a bride!
Overall, I literally cannot say enough good things about them - I could write a book. I would hire them a hundred times over! I highly, highly recommend them! -

Saved the day!
Kristin and her team are amazing! They work so hard and give 110% to make sure your day goes perfectly! We had a minor disaster at my ceremony and she TOTALLY saved the day! All of our guests said the wedding was one of the best they’ve ever been to, and it was all because of Kristin + team! I could not of done it without her. I would recommend her 100x over. My day was everything I dreamed of and more because of her! -

We hired Erica of Kristin Catter events for the month-of-coordination, and it was a great decision! They took on our interfaith wedding with ease and grace. Erica was incredible, competent, and totally organized, not to mention just a great person to have around during the wedding. Both of my parents let me know that they were most pleased at the investment made to have Erica there. We believe that is definitely worth the money to have someone so competent and skilled handling everything the day of the wedding. And don't let it fool you that her name isn't on the shingle -- if Erica is the one that is assigned to your wedding, you are quite lucky! Her sister Kristen is also great. -

Kristin Catter, her sister Erica, and the rest of her team is a force to be reckoned with in the wedding and events industry. There is just no one better out there right now. Kristin went above and beyond in every way to help take the burden and stress of wedding planning off my shoulders. From floral consultations to catering tastings to cake tastings to dress fittings, she literally went with us to almost every single meeting. Kristin did everything she could to envision my wedding day dreams and then make them come to life. She made sure to make the budget apart of our regular conversations to ensure that we could stay within our goal budget and make educated decisions accordingly. Kristin is extremely organized, professional, and on top of every single detail. She has incredible report with a wide variety of vendors and works hand-in-hand with them to make every detail important. I had zero worries on the day of because I completely trusted Kristin and had faith that with her direction, everything would go off without a hitch. Aside from the chillier temperatures than expected, every other item, person, vendor, moment was exactly where, when, and how it should be. Just who we needed!
Kristin and her team were great! We used the month of coordinator service. Kristin was great at communicating with us whenever we needed and worked really well with our vendors. The month of the wedding, we didn't have to worry about reaching out to anyone but Kristin, as she took care of everything with all of our vendors. She even helped with specific requests we had for the day of the wedding. She, along with her team, had great control of everything and made sure we got what we dreamed of. :) -

She's amazing
Kristin is AMAZING. I used her as a month of coordinator. We had a long meeting where we got on the same page and from there she handled everything including all contact with vendors! She made it the least stressful month of my life and everything was absolutely perfect! She helped us make decisions on things that would have otherwise been forgotten if we weren't reminded and is so prepared for everything. She made our rehearsal so organized and our wedding perfect and go so smoothly while staying nearly invisible somehow. I HIGHLY recommend her! P.S. She will also talk to your mom and handle everything so gracefully keeping everyone happy! -

Most AMAZING weeding planner!
I was extremely satisfied with my wedding. Kristin was really nice and helped me plan my dream wedding, and all within my budget. You can request a meeting where she goes over all the financials in detail so that you know exactly where your money is going. She was able to cater to our request of style and decor choices for the wedding, she has a pretty big list of choices for flowers, lines and all other sorts of decorations that you don’t even think about while planning for your wedding. She made herself available to answer all the questions or comments I had and was very punctual to all of he meetings and appointments. She took out all the tedious tasks and stress out of wedding planning so I could be excited and ready for my big day! During the wedding she was there and made sure that everything went precfectly smooth and efficient. I didn’t have to worry about the DJ playing the song at the right time or if the tables were arranged in the correct order. Overall, it was a wonderful experience! -

100% Worth Hiring!
SO needed!!!! My husband and I worked with Erica, Kristin's sister, and I can easily say that working with her was 100% worth every penny. Not only was she professional, timely, and had all the detail oriented thoughts I never could have had, but she was also so so kind and thoughtful. Hiring Kristin as our month-of coordinator was truly the best decision I made since saying yes when my now-husband proposed. From our initial email conversations, she was extremely quick to respond, thoroughly informative and helpful. At venue walkthrough/face to face meeting, she totally streamlined my frazzled planning process and gave me miraculous peace of mind. She knew exactly how to take care of every detail to prepare for the biggest day of our lives! On the day of the wedding, she was relaxed but got the job done flawlessly- graciously firm in managing everything to go so perfectly! Kristin was literally the best coordinator that I could’ve ever dreamed up. She was SO helpful, organized and detail-oriented (but always had such a wise, logical grasp of the big picture and true meaning of the day) kind, friendly, laidback (but serious when necessary) and just FUN... take it from me, you’d do yourself a huge disservice not to hire her for your wedding... save yourself and your family from worrying about all the things she can handle with ease. Wedding Planning: Kristin was very helpful in the wedding planning process. She gave us a realistic, helpful timeline at the beginning of our planning that was customized for our specific needs. She did a good job of checking in and ensuring we were on track with tasks and the budget, particularly as we got down to the wire.
Vendors and Contacts: Kristin was so helpful in finding and providing recommendations for good vendors. She has strong relationships with good vendors and worked to get us better deals on multiple occasions. She helped tremendously in figuring out how to get the most value for our floral selections and helping us get our stationary just right. I really appreciated that she went to all of my dress fittings with me (my family is out of state). Kristin really excelled at in all our meetings, she was professional but firm.
Day Of: Kristin is excellent at running the "day of” schedule. She was polite but firm with our wedding guests and party (which was needed and appreciated) and everything went off with out a hitch. Everyone told me that something would go wrong at our wedding, but nothing did. I can’t stress enough how well she did on the day of the wedding. Even after juggling a million wedding tasks, she went out of her way to leave us a slice of our wedding cake, a little thank you note and she even sprinkled rose pedals around our suite for the night of the wedding. The personal touches made our day even more special. Her assistant Lindsey was also great.
Overall: I am so happy we used KCE; I would recommend her to anyone. Kristin was awesome, and I don’t know how we could have done it without her. Thank you!

Kristin was wonderful! This was our first daughter to get married. Our daughter lives in Austin but we live in California so it was important for us to have someone help us with vendors etc. We couldn't have been happier the day of the wedding! Many guests told us 'it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever been to'! Whatever you think you're looking for in a wedding coordinator or planner- Kristin is it. I met with several wedding planners that had a lot of fluff in their packages and charged a lot of money for 'services' that would have been easily accomplished with minimal effort or limited the support to '3 phone calls and emails the month of the wedding.' Kristen was different- she approached you as a person and met me where I was in the process. I was able to call, email, or text her when I was in a jam or anxious about something but because we would meet on a regular basis to touch base, this was kept to a minimum. Also, I had a very high touch, highly involved parents that required many phone calls. She was patient and kind and spoke with them whenever they wanted. She told me what I needed to do and kept me on track and on time. When I met with her I didn't know what to do next or how to manage the expectations of my family, wedding party, vendors, fiancé and his family. She guided me through all of this and handled it for me. Also, my wedding day was perfect and fun and stress free and its because Kristin is a pro and now a friend of the family. I was referred to her by a friend who had an awesome experience with her at her wedding. Do yourself a favor and hire Kristin. -

It poured the morning of my wedding and like most brides...I was freaking out! Erica was patient and understanding of how much I wanted to get married under a chandelier and even said that she would help move the chandelier inside lol...it stopped raining and was an absolutely perfect weather day! She is so knowledgeable about everything having to do with weddings, every question either of us had she had an answer for, and HUGE PLUS, she is so easy to get along with, not at all dominating or overbearing like some planners who know it all can be. Hiring Kristin was one of the best decisions that my husband and I made, truly. We both have full time jobs that wear us out during the week and having her in our corner every step of the way to make sure we were on track, on time, and getting the best price from our vendors was amazing. She was there when we wanted her to be there for us, not when she wanted to be there for us, and I think that is the best quality about her, other than of course her amazing talent and eye for the perfect every thing. Being a Bride who had never attended a wedding before, Kristin really had her work cut out for her! I did not have the slightest clue what all was involved when planning a wedding. From the moment I interviewed Kristin I knew she was the planner for me! She is focused, attentive, and the girl knows what she’s doing. From the start, Kristin was organized and kept me on track with various spreadsheets and timelines, which helps tremendously when you’re hiring vendors! She was very knowledgeable about the vendors and working within a price range. She was always aware of our budget and helped us stay on track or inform us about costs – and she was “spot on” with her information. When we sat down to interview with various vendors Kristin, brought all of my wedding information with her. I never had to keep track of anything. She had all my linen swatches, my calendar, and numerous pictures of my details with her at all times. You can also count on Kristin to come up with a solution or idea for any scenario. There were a number of times that I wasn’t sure what I had envisioned for my wedding, but Kristin was always there with amazing Ideas and inspiration – and to calm me when I felt stressed about the process. I would call her at any time and she would always answer my call. If she was in a meeting or unavailable, she would get right back with me. I had the best vendors (thanks to Kristin’s recommendations). My wedding day was flawless as she handled every detail and I never knew of any issues. Kristin is seriously a dream come true. Accountability was my top requirement when researching wedding planners and Kristin had it in spades. I never had a doubt she had the ability & experience to deliver and felt she really took the time to understand both our vision and budget for the wedding.
I'm a Type A bride who had a LOT of specific ideas for our wedding, so I knew I needed someone capable & professional but also realistic & firm who could push back when needed. I am so grateful for the guidance Kristin provided and her ability to get things done.
One of the biggest advantages I found with Kristin was the fact she brings an on-site assistant on the wedding day - as a team they were highly coordinated and impressive to watch. Super effective at everything from corralling guests to guiding the wedding party to hyping the crowd for our grand exit. I can truly say I did not have to worry about a thing on our wedding day.
As a couple paying for our own wedding, we were very sensitive to budget but I can honestly say hiring Kristin was the best money we spent. Her prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of work and peace of mind she provided - highly recommend her! -

I had my wedding in New Braunfels, Texas a couple of weeks ago. Kristin was great to work with. She responded to all of my text/emails/phone calls in a quick manner and never made me feel like i was a hinderance to her. She met me at my venue to walk through and discuss all of the details. She made my table layout and ceremony seating charts feel like a breeze. All of the decisions i was stressed about making, she made effortless for me to decide. She would give me multiple scenarios of how i might want my day to go and how i could get that effect. She never forced her opinions on me but gave me some great ideas about my day of timeline and flow of my reception.
Her decor ideas were flawless and i loved how experienced and knowledgeable she was about local vendors. Kristin has worked in with Austin vendors as well as many in San Antonio. She suggested a caterer for us that was OUT OF THIS world.

I don't even know where to start when it comes to sweet Kristin. A little background perhaps... we decided to do a somewhat destination wedding in Austin, TX. We live in Houston. We are South Indian, this means we have HUGE families and our wedding guest list of 340 is actually considered "small" for a Indian wedding. This also means everyone comes to town pretty much for the entire weekend so we needed: a rehearsal brunch place, a Friday night event space, the big shebang Saturday, and a house Sunday to have the family over. It was a lot.
As any psycho bride, I went into this planning guns blazing trying to get everything taken care of myself. The venue we had selected comes with an on site coordinator. I have come to learn that a wedding coordinator and a wedding planner are two VERY different things. The coordinator is there to give advice and recommendations but their first interest is their own personal venue. A lot more goes into a wedding then just the reception. SO, after a few months of planning we had some of the big things figured out ie church, reception hall, hotel plan for guests, colors picked out, my dress... which sounds like a lot....news flash guys this is nothing!
I quickly realized planning is not my fav thing and when I started to really stress and not be excited about this wedding planning process we hired Kristin to bring it home. This was by far the best decision I ever made.
Kristin soon became my bestie who I would text at all hours, personal therapist/calming voice when I was having meltdowns, my planner, organizer, and person to bounce ideas off of. She bailed us out of many pickles and last minute freak-out moments and for that I will always be so grateful to her!
My hubby and I have said it many times, we could NOT have done this big fat Indian wedding without her. Plus her sister Ericka is also great and you get a two-for-one when needed.

Disappointed
This review is for Erica Katter. I had initially sought Kristin (who was very responsive to my first inquiry, and extremely helpful and reassuring before I even engaged her, and I'm very grateful for that!), however, she was unavailable for my wedding and recommended her sister Erica instead. Kristin assured me that I would receive the same level of competence and service for my wedding, but unfortunately that was not the case. Erica was disorganized and seemed to rush through the details without really listening to my concerns - I should have taken her aside to voice my concerns on the night of the rehearsal when she staged my very small and uncomplicated wedding party without any direction or forethought. On the day of the wedding, we took before the ceremony (as was planned), and because she did not summon the photographers after being asked repeatedly (I eventually asked the photographers myself to come to the space we were taking photos) my photographers had to take all of our family photos within 20 minutes before the ceremony started. In addition to Erica, I paid for an assistant (as requested by Kristin), and there was also an assistant provided by the venue, so they were not lacking in manpower. Thankfully, my awesome photographers were able to capture some really great photos in the limited time available. When it was time for the ceremony, Erica completely mis-timed the staging. "Here comes the Bride" already started several minutes before I ran to the ceremony room, which was extremely awkward (there were windows in the doors to the ceremony room, so the guests had already risen and turned toward the doors and could see me running). Several guests joked that they thought I had gotten cold feet. I discussed this with both Erica and Kristin a couple of days after the wedding - they were very professional about reaching out to me to discuss my concerns. However, I was disappointed that they tried to throw the DJ under the bus for the staging issue; I was uncomfortable assigning blame to him and insisted that he be present for the discussion. Kristen and Erica agreed, and once we all got on the phone, it became clear that the staging issue was entirely attributable to the planner, Erica. Pros: Erica was extremely sweet and understanding about helping me with my dress and veil as I did not want my bridal party or family in my room while getting ready (I had recently lost my Mother and knew I would get emotional around friends and family). She also quickly adjusted the timing of our exit when we decided end the reception a little earlier than planned. At the end of the day, I married the man of my dreams in front of all of the people we love on what became the happiest day of my life - I just wish I had engaged a more experienced and competent planner. -

I struggled with writing this review because I never like to leave less than perfect reviews for people, being a small business owner myself. However, I felt it was necessary in order for the owner to grow and for future clients to know where they may need to focus their attention. I was referred to Kristin from a long time friend of my fiancé. She did a great job at their wedding, and we were confident she would do the same for us. Kristin was great in the beginning of our wedding journey 8 months ago. I had no clue where to start. She helped us get our budget in order and helped explain the things she thought we would need/want. Shortly after that things stated falling off. I won't go into a drawn out explanation, but details were missed and overlooked. I know this happens, so I didn't think much of it and continued on. As we got closer and started making venue visits, I started getting nervous. I knew she hadn't planned at this venue before, but knowing her reputation, I was sure she would pull it off. My wedding was at 6pm on the day of, and she told me she would arrive at 3:30pm. My first reaction was very surprised, I would have been there all day if it was me. I also was very stressed out and needed someone to help me, which is what I thought a wedding planner would do. She assured me we would get everything done on time, but that didn't turn out to be the case. The timeline was off, I got zero photos with my bridesmaids because of time (VERY upset about this), there wasn't enough chairs for guests at the ceremony, food ran out, tables were called out of order, champagne wasn't passed for our toast, etc. I know this isn't an easy task and I didn't expect the entire evening to go off without a hitch. However, it was a lot of chaos. After the wedding, I didn't hear from her. No phone call, no email, etc. Any effort to apologize or appease the situation would have gone a long way. -
