The ceremony performed by Kahu Tom was beautiful and meaningful—exactly what we hoped for. Our photographer also went above and beyond, spending extra time with us to capture some truly special, personalized photos that we’ll treasure forever. Florist delivered beautiful wedding florals to my hotel. She informed me when they were delivered to my hotel and sent helpful instructions for their care.

Five Star quality!
Deanna is the greatest! We decided to elope on the big island of Hawaii at a short notice. Deanna was quick to respond and clear with her choices of availability. Once confirmed, the process was a breeze. We signed up on her website, chose a location (she gave us some great suggestions based on our descriptions on what we were looking for) and signed the contract.
She included some great information such as the different licensing agents, places for hair and makeup and recommended restaurants in the area. All super organized and easy to follow.
We were given options to what to include in our ceremony as well as adding a few personal words as well. Deanna listened to our wishes and the ceremony ended up very personal and beautiful.
When the big day arrived we met up with Deanna at a set time and place. She was already there when we showed up. We were a little late and texted with her. She always responded so quickly, via either email or text.
She made our wedding ceremony beyond perfect! From the small details, to the eloquent delivery of our ceremony and the heartfelt well wishes at the end. She felt like a friend and we had only known her for less than an hour!
We would recommend Kona Wedding Officiant and Deanna in a heartbeat! You will have a perfect day!

April 2025 Wedding in Paradise
We found Kona Wedding Officiant by doing a search online. We got married in April 2025 and could not of pulled this off without them. Deanna is amazing. She is compassionate, caring, and always willing to help. Even calming our stress of organizing this special event from the mainland. Flew from Florida for a Hawaiian elopement
We used Kona Wedding Officiant after finding them on a google search and reading their outstanding reviews! We watched their You tube video of Kahu Tom and we were sold! They made the entire process flow seamlessly. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing. Most beautiful day of my life!
We were so very lucky to have found Kona Wedding Officiant! I really wanted something beautiful, a traditional Hawaiian Wedding and on the beach in Hawaii. But I also wanted this to be easy and not be a lot of work. I wanted things to happen organically with no stress for myself or my Husband. Much to my surprise Deanna did more than I could have imagined. I picked what I wanted as to the traditional Hawaiian wedding and she made it happen. I really did not have to do anything. I spend time on the beach until my wedding and I could not be happier! I would do it all over again!
But - I have to tell you, Deanna herself brought so much Aloha spirit to my wedding that it brought tears to my eyes...and I am not one to cry. Watching her prepare for our wedding by appreciating the ocean, carefully blessing the rings, the eye to eye contact and the beauty of her ceremony was beyond expectations. We used Kona wedding officiant to have a small ceremony on the big island and I can’t say enough wonderful things! Deanna the owner had great communication and was very responsive. For our wedding our officiant was Margarita and Terra was the photographer. They were both wonderful and listened to all of our needs and request. Highly recommend! We arranged the entire wedding package, with license and photographs, from Chicago, via telephone calls and emails. There are so many choices, and options for anything you can think of! There were no issues with times, travel, or schedule. Everything went exactly as planned that day. Deanna was wonderful and made our day so special. As corny as it may sound, it really did feel like we were the only people on the beach that day. It felt intimate and grand at the same time. Our photographer was also awesome, she had great ideas for photos and went along with all our crazy requests! And of course, it's Hawaii, and it's beautiful. 100 percent positive experience!

Deanna from Kona Wedding Officiant performed our wedding ceremony on August 28, 2023 at Kukio Beach. We purchased the Elopement Package for 2 which included the photographer.
We are extremely satisfied with the services that Deanna provided and highly recommend using her for your wedding ceremony. From the time we booked the wedding date more than a year ago to the actual wedding day, Deanna quickly and efficiently responded to all of our communications and all of her instructions were clear and concise.
Deanna is exactly everything that we were looking for in a wedding officiant. My husband and I eloped because we wanted a private and intimate ceremony and that is exactly what Deanna provided. She was eloquent and somehow instinctively delivered the perfect harmonization of a Christian ceremony and a spiritual ceremony all in one. Her energy was otherworldly and her pace and tonality throughout the ceremony were both calming and grounding. She truly embodies the god essence and made our wedding ceremony everything that we could ever wish our wedding to be.

Everything was absolutely perfect!! Deanna was very responsive and helped to create our dream wedding. She answered my many questions quickly and was always ready and willing to help with anything I needed. We chose the Ohana Ukulele Package and were very happy with everything! This package was perfect for the small family wedding that we had dreamed of and the best part was how little I had to worry about! I was actually completely stress free on my wedding day, which for me was my main goal. Everything was coordinated perfectly making it easy to just enjoy every moment of our big day. Not to mention that it was picture perfect. We had our ceremony on Old Kona Airport beach at 9am, we loved how few people there were on the beach and how private it was. We even had our small dog, Milo, as our ring bearer. We decided to have 3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen, which was easy to go onto the website and add 3 extra bouquets and 3 extra boutonniere to our package. Everything was so organized and easy to do, it couldn’t have been more perfect! I can’t tell you how much I recommend having your wedding with Kona Wedding Officiant, I truly feel that we were able to enjoy our wedding day much more because of how stress free and organized everything was. My husband and I live on the east coast and decided we wanted to get married in Hawaii for our ideal ceremony. Our beautiful Hawaii wedding
Due to Covid and several other factors we decided to elope on the Big Island of Hawaii, and we really lucked out with Deanna. She was very professional and helpful and kind throughout the entire process as we communicated back and forth online on what our needs and wants were. Deanna provided many different options and her website was easy to navigate. We decided on a sunset ceremony and Deanna recommended gorgeous Kukio Beach in North Kona. Even though it’s a public beach (all beaches are in the Big Island), it felt secluded with minimal foot traffic, and it felt perfect for what we were envisioning. The ceremony, including before and after pics, took two hours. The weather was great and Deanna and her photographer were a pleasure to work with. It felt personal and the Hawaiian touches she incorporated (blessing in native Hawaiian, blowing of the conch, blessing of the sand and water) were special and lovely. Getting married is stressful under the best of circumstances, but Deanna makes it easy, straightforward, and about as stress free as possible. We definitely recommend her!

Barefoot in the sand
This review is long overdue!
2 years ago today Deanna married us at a beautiful spot on Kikaua Point Beach. We wanted a calm and relaxed ceremony. Just the 3 of us - barefoot in the sand.
Deanna came thru with exactly the vibe we wanted for our meaningful ceremony.
The whole experience was perfect from start to finish. It was very easy and stress free.
The “sand blending” was the favorite part of the ceremony.

We were so happy that we found Kona Wedding Officiant for our 4.3.21 wedding. From our initial contact in August 2019 through our wedding day (and beyond), Deanna provided excellent service and was an absolute dream to work with. She always responded to our questions in a timely manner and was very accommodating to our requests.
The beach she suggested was the perfect location for our small wedding. About five weeks before the wedding, changes to COVID-19 gathering restrictions potentially impacted our plans to have the wedding we envisioned. Deanna remained optimistic and came up with some possible solutions should we need to modify plans. Deanna’s calm and positive demeanor helped alleviate the stress in a big way. At the same time, we were already stressed over other wedding-related issues that were out of Deanna’s scope (i.e., wedding dress may not be ready in time, COVID-related travel requirements for our elderly parents, etc.). While those things weren’t under Deanna’s purview, just talking with her about the wedding was calming. We knew our wedding was in goods hands with Deanna.
Deanna and the team she put together for our wedding day was awesome. Deanna crafted and performed our ceremony so beautifully and with much aloha. She really made our day truly special. Our photographer, Marissa, and videographer, Lev, were friendly and welcoming. My husband and I tend to be camera shy and they both made us forget about that when they were taking pictures and shooting video of us.
I would absolutely recommend Deanna and the Kona Wedding Officiant team. We look forward to working her again for our vow renewal in the future.

Beautiful wedding, very moving ceremony, wonderful location (Hapuna Beach). This is our favourite place in the world, we're so glad Deanna could perform our ceremony there. Her singing and floral decorations were beautiful. The incorporation of Hawaiian spiritual elements made the ceremony very meaningful, and felt authentic even though my wife and I are not Hawaiian, we could feel the meaningfulness.
Deanna was amazing, she took care of a lot of things for us, coordinating the photographer, the florist, the permits, setting up our interview to get the license, etc. Our plans were always very much in flux due to Covid, so we couldn't plan much in advance, but everything was smooth and easy with Deanna.
The elopement packages were ideal for us since our families and friends couldn't fly to one spot, due to Covid. She offered a range of packages, so we could have exactly what we needed (flowers, photographer) but nothing more excessive than that.
Strongly recommend Kona Wedding Officiant for anyone planning to get married on the Big Island!

My wife and I decided to elope on our recent trip to Hawaii's big island. We contacted Deanna a few days prior to departing, and with short notice, she efficiently and helpfully aided us in organizing our ceremony. She helped us with some of the logistics (obtaining a marriage license/certificate which is surprisingly simple!) and gave us recommendations for the best spot to make our ceremony a beautiful and private event. She has a lot of options, from a very simple and relatively inexpensive ceremony, but we opted to add on a photo/videographer for an additional (and reasonable) fee. My wife and I were well taken care of by the entire team for a perfect, short, sweet, and beatific sunset ceremony at Kukio beach. Deanna put together a ceremony that was personalized to our preferences (spiritually, physically and emotionally!) She is not only a professional, but also a flexible and kind soul who will make your wedding, elopement or renewal of vow ceremony one to remember! I highly recommend her services.

We contacted Deanna about 2 months before we were headed to Hawaii (Mauna Lani area) to elope. Deanna was very responsive and helpful with all the details through every step of the process. On the day of the ceremony we had to quickly adapt our location because of the trade winds and Deanna was helpful and accommodating. The wind was blowing, but Deanna's calm demeanor kept us centered, and brought a nice level of reverence to the ceremony. Outstanding in all aspects
From start to finish, Ms. Deanna was outstanding. Over the last nine months, she provided us with key recommendations and packets choices that were tailored to our needs. There was constant communication throughout this process until our wedding on December 10th of this year. The photographer and videographers captured keys moments and interviews of us before our wedding. She was very detailed oriented to ensure our moment has truly special. Ninety-nine percent of our wedding planning was conducted via email since we were state side. How she conducted the ceremony in the Hawaiian tradition was amazing. If you are looking for a planner for a destination wedding on the Big Island, Ms Deanna is the best choice hands down.

Our perfect day!
My husband and I contacted Deanna on short notice. We were in Kona for the week, and wanted to renew our wedding vows in a traditional Hawaiian ceremony. Deanna was so sweet, friendly and responsive. She made us feel like family. Within a couple of days, we had vows, we had flowers, and she provided a meaningful and memorable ceremony. Mahalo!

We decided to do a last minute elopement and she performed a beautiful ceremony for us. Deanna is very responsive, flexible, and accommodating. It was a plus for me that you can view her openings directly on her website.

Lovely and professional!
We had our marriage in Kikaua Point. We are an italian couple, and our english is not so perfect! Anyway Deanna was so nice with us, she answered to my thousand questions, se was so patience with my several changes of minds. During the wedding she put so much emotion, that it was so romantic and she helped us with English vows as well! I love her and I definitely recommend her to anyone! We choosed the elopement package! Everything was so perfect as in my dream!

Great Wedding Experience
Deanna our wedding Officiate helped with our marriage license since we were from out of state. Deanna helped us with the island information and tourist spot directions.

An amazing experience

Experience was mothing less then spectacular!
Deanna was professional, accomadating, and extremely spiritual. We had last minute changes and she formulates our dream Hapuna Hawaiian beach wedding into a heartfelt memory of a lifetime! From the sand ceremony, the spiritual vows, to her beautiful singing voice....everything was perfect! The photographers with her did an amazing job as well! John and I could not be more pleased with everything she did for us!!! 10 stars here!

She made everything so easy for us (she even scheduled our agent meeting for us!) and was super flexible when we kept changing the ceremony time (literally the night before). The Legacy Continues...
We had several back and forth changes preparing for our beautiful day. There was never a complaint and money was never the primary factor as our price was actually lowered when an easier beach was used. Pricing is extremely reasonable to begin with. The singing was beautiful and photographer very professional! If your looking for a simple easy turn key experience there is no other way to go! A trip we’ll never forget!!!
Thanks to Deanna we had a private, beautiful sunset wedding at a white sand beach near Kona. Being from California, we didn't know where to start planning a wedding in Hawaii, but Deanna sent us tons of info, photos, and even made our license appointment for us. We were married on a totally secluded beach and have amazing pictures to remember our special day! We could not not be happier with our experience! Thank you Deanna!

Flawless experience
Absolutely flawless experience. To begin, Deanna was extremely flexible, as we changed our location multiple times. She sent tons of information, which really reduced our angst having never been to the island before. Then, there was a SHARK in the water on our big day, shutting down our beach location and causing a lot of added stress. Deanna still made it happen! We were able to get onto a completely empty beach, and have a very intimate ceremony. Would absolutely recommend.

Deanna - Dream Maker!
Deanna is a very present and exceptionally kind officiant who assisted my husband and I in planning and experiencing a beautiful memorable ceremony! The young guests at the wedding thought it was fresh and the older guests loved the way Deanna spoke about marriage and being a couple. Two month later I'm still amazed by Deanna's professionalism and am happy to highly recommended Deanna.
