I could not recommend Kindred Weddings & Events enough! From start to finish, Sarah Blessinger was the best wedding planner to work with. We had just over a year to plan an across-the-country wedding and she brought every wedding-day vision to life without overwhelming us with all the details. She is incredibly talented, thoughtful, resourceful, and the perfect balance of friendly and professional. She made sure every moment and detail was carefully crafted. On the wedding day, she ran the show seamlessly from behind the scenes. We never felt rushed or stressed. “Intentional” is the best word I can think of to describe her work style. Hiring Sarah as our wedding planner was the best investment we ever made. I honestly don't know how she got it all done—she's absolutely magical and made the entire process seem effortless and straightforward. Our monthly calls were incredibly productive, and she was exceptional at following through on every detail. She really listened to our feedback and was so patient when we were getting thrown curveballs.
We went into the planning process without much of a vision, but Sarah somehow captured exactly what we didn't even know we wanted. We're so happy we chose the design package with her because the final product was truly priceless (photos for evidence!)
Beyond her incredible professional skills, Sarah is just an overall wonderful human being, which was actually a big factor in all our vendor planning. Working with Sarah was truly one of the best decisions we made during our entire wedding journey. From the very beginning, she approached every conversation with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care, and her patience was unmatched, especially as our plans had to pivot after we received a wonderful and unexpected surprise in our lives.
Through every adjustment and reconfiguration, Sarah remained calm, flexible, and understanding. She not only adapted to our evolving needs but did so with such grace that it made what could have been a stressful process feel seamless and manageable. Her ability to stay positive and solutions-oriented helped us feel confident and supported every step of the way.
Her attention to detail was impeccable. Sarah anticipated needs before we even realized them and consistently went above and beyond to ensure that nothing slipped through the cracks. She willingly took on so many tasks to help alleviate the pressure on us including coordinating vendors, refining timelines, and keeping track of every little element. Every detail was handled flawlessly, the schedule ran like clockwork, and everything flowed so smoothly that it felt almost effortless. If there were any hiccups, they were handled, and we were assured that it was taken care of. This is a true testament to her and her team's expertise and preparation.
What impressed us most was how Sarah made something as complex as wedding planning and execution look so easy. She carried herself with such calm confidence that we were able to fully relax and savor every moment of our day, trusting that she had everything under control...and she absolutely did.

When it came time to wedding planning and looking for a wedding planner, we wanted someone who could help guide my now husband and me with the process. Someone who would listen and not take over without our input, but who could also help us pinpoint the design and style we wanted. We also wanted someone who specialized in smaller weddings as we anticipated on having 50 guests.
I never dreamt about what my dream wedding would look like and my husband definitely didn't so we were starting from ground zero. When I spoke to other female friends who had or were getting married, many of them already had so many ideas of what they wanted or what it should feel or look like. I was worried that by not having any of this beforehand we would be a harder client to work with, but thankfully, working with Sarah made that part easy. She shared links to articles to help us learn about different styles from wedding aesthetic to photography themes. And eventually had us create a Pinterest board where we could share initial images we liked. Eventually we were able to discover our style and that served as the foundation for how we would plan our wedding and pick vendors.
Surprisingly, my favorite part of the whole wedding process with Sarah was booking our vendors in the span of 2-2.5 months. It sounds crazy and wasn't always easy, but Sarah helped make it manageable. Long story short, we were planning a wedding in roughly 5 or 6 months (from when we booked our venue to the date we scheduled for the wedding). We had put ourselves in this position, but we had our reasons (weather, wanting to avoid the holidays, but not wanting to push into 2026, family health of certain family members, etc.).
Given the short turnaround, Sarah suggested breaking up all the vendors into chunks of 2 or 3 groups per round and each group would get 2-5 options for us to review. From there we could decide if we wanted quotes, had questions, etc. If the original options weren't quite right or turns out they were no longer available, she would suggest more. Every 2 weeks the process would repeat: new set of 2 or 3 vendors to review, get quotes, compare options. Even if the previous round of vendors were still in progress, we could keep pushing the needle forward and eventually get everything booked. The first set of vendors were for elements that we cared about most that weren't already included in the venue (i.e. photography, florals, DJ). Now, we still had to interview certain vendors, but overall we were happy with many of Sarah's vendor options. They were all so kind and friendly so it was mostly about finding vendors that felt right for us vs being worried that vendors were trying to scam us or not give us appropriate pricing.
When it came to the big day, it ran without issue. The weather was absolutely amazing, all the florals were beautifully set up, and our officiant shared beautiful words with our guests. The venue was the perfect location with the valley landscape and sunset backdrop. And the food and dessert served was absolutely delicious. Our photographer was so extremely kind and effortlessly moved throughout the wedding to capture moments. I had no complaints and heard so many compliments from our guests. We were both happy to make it through the vows and could enjoy the rest of the evening with everyone!
If you are looking for a wedding planner who can help you plan your wedding, please consider Sarah. She offers various levels of assistance from providing full scope of planning or simply offering to help in specific areas if you plan to manage most of the wedding planning yourself. She will also help you stay on budget and can provide friendly, professional vendor recommendation who can work on your special day. Wedding planning is a lot to take on, but Sarah was so kind and easy to work with. -

We had our wedding in March of this year (2025), and truly think we wouldn’t have had such an incredible day without Sarah from Kindred Weddings and Events! We knew from our initial consultation with her that she was exactly what we needed — she is so friendly, communicative, and organized. We worked with her as our wedding planner from very early in our wedding planning process, when we had a couple of our top venue choices in mind but had no idea what to do from there. Every single step in the process was clearly defined by Sarah (and her organization skills are truly incredible) — we knew exactly what we needed to do and when, and if we had any questions along the way she was always very timely with replying to us and communicating through everything. Another huge advantage we had working with Sarah and Kindred was her network of incredible local vendors! We felt overwhelmed trying to just simply google local vendors before we worked with Sarah, and so her being able to help us navigate through that chaos by providing multiple vendors within our price range, her personal experience working with them, and what styles they specialize in was SO helpful for us. It took so much pressure and stress off of us to know that Sarah had already worked with these vendors, and that we could find ones within our budget that could emulate the vision we had for our wedding day. Having her to help read through contracts was also a huge help for us, since this was something very new to us and we wanted to make sure everything made sense before we signed on with our vendors. Additionally, Sarah was absolute perfection in navigating and organizing our actual wedding day! From creating an incredibly detailed timeline, coordinating with vendors for day-of services, and overall making sure our day continued to run smoothly — she handled everything so seamlessly and we cannot thank her enough. Our wedding day ended up being the best day of our lives, and so much of that is due to Sarah and Kindred’s time and effort. The title says it all. We fully started the wedding planning process with no intention of hiring a planner/coordinator. We both are experienced professionals in live events and had a good idea of what we were getting into. Regardless of this; tracking down vendors, comparing them, and then keeping all the contacts and contracts in order quickly became too much for both of us to handle on top of life and work.
Our venue needed us to have a coordinator and after one conversation with Sarah at Kindred we realized two things; what a delightful person she was, and what we were missing in not having a planner. We made the best decision for our wedding by far, and hired her and Kindred.
Even with a condensed timeline, she picked up everything where we had got it to and streamlined it giving us a straightforward set of tasks and milestones to hit. It was like getting a massage, suddenly we felt like a weight had been lifted from our shoulders and we could actually sit up straight and enjoy planning our wedding. Without Kindred and their guidance the flowers at our wedding would not have been nearly the spectacle they ended up being and we never would have met our amazing photographer. Sarah's excellent eye and cool confidence on the day was what kept everything on the rails and her expertise feels like it was the secret ingredient behind every compliment we've gotten from our guests.
We are beyond grateful to her for all the hard work and for rolling with some major punches all the way up to the day. We could not have had our day without her. -

Highest possible recommendation!
We aren't even sure where to begin! Our wedding not only happened because of Sarah, but it somehow managed to look and feel precisely how we envisioned it, better even, because she handled all the details with such creativity and grace. Sarah is the absolute consummate professional, and her professionalism combined with an extremely even-keeled manner and general positivity... it's like, exactly what you'd want in a wedding planner. Some things we especially appreciated: 1) she gave us space to make decisions and be unsure, and while she still kept us on a timeline we never felt pressured or like we were holding up the process; 2) it became very clear by the end of the planning process that she was doing a lot behind the scenes for us without us even knowing—making phone calls and staying in constant contact with our vendors—advocating for us and not letting any details slip by, while still keeping the annoying logistics off our plate; 3) she was very available over email, and reliably would respond promptly to questions and met every single promised deadline on her end; 4) she essentially planned a destination wedding for us because we were out of town, and we never felt like this was a burden or that we weren't able to accomplish anything because of the distance, and 5) she was completely unafraid to pivot when we felt like vendor options weren't quite right—she had a whole other set of referrals ready to go after our feedback. We had a very strange vendor request, for example, that involved live animals, and it proved to be a significant struggle to book, and she *did not give up!*, and only became more determined to find the right vendor—and she did! It was incredible. Our wedding was nontraditional in a lot of ways, and it focused on people and guest experience over typical wedding expectations, and she never questioned it or made us feel strange for our choices—she just truly wanted to make our vision come to life, and she did. On the wedding day itself, she was in the background but would magically appear when we or someone else needed her.
In short: we cannot recommend Sarah enough. Choosing a planner felt like a stab in the dark—a terrifying one!—and we really were the luckiest to find her. She is so good at what she does. It's freaky! And we already miss her! -

We did not know where to start in planning our backyard wedding. We are so thankful we found Sarah. She exceeded all of our expectations and made the planning process and the day itself seamless. She took the time to listen to what we wanted while still being thoughtful of the budget. She has strong relationships with vendors, and not only provided us with great options aligned with our vision but also handled all the communication and coordination. Most importantly, she kept us on track at every stage of the process so we never felt too stressed.
When we unfortunately had to postpone our wedding at the last minute for personal reasons, Sarah was so understanding. She rescheduled all of our vendors, helped us reorganize our timeline, and took care of all the changes in logistics and details. Having to reschedule just two weeks before was devastating to us and we want to thank her for helping us still create the wedding that we dreamt of despite unforeseen circumstances.
On the day of the wedding, she made sure everything ran smoothly so that we could enjoy every moment. Our friends are still talking about how perfect everything was and how it was one of the most fun parties they have been to. And that is all thanks to Sarah!

In our search for a wedding planner, we came across their website and were surprised by the amount of free, insightful resources and transparency around costs which others in the space just aren't doing. Looking at their portfolio, it was very apparent that each wedding was tailored to the couple and had different looks, which made us feel like we would be able to work together to make ours feel like us. We can confirm, not only did we feel like it was us, so did our guests.
2. How was it to work with Sarah?
Working with Sarah was a partnership that provided us with tools to manage our finances, vendors and relieved the stress from the wedding planning process and the wedding day itself.She was consistent and dependable when it came to communication, meaning that she would always set an expectation on when we would hear from her and always kept that promise. This gave us a lot of confidence throughout the days leading up to the wedding.When she came to the initial venue visit, she came prepared with all the questions we needed answers to but didn’t think about ourselves. She saved us a lot of headache that we would have if not for her being there with us.She offered a list of vendors that we chose from for every category and we were very happy with each of their work.
3. How did the wedding day go?

One of a kind wedding planner
It's hard to decide where to start when describing the impact Sarah had on our entire wedding planning process. We were completely overwhelmed even when thinking about a date to choose. After our first call with Sarah, we knew we were in good hands and felt the stress melt away immediately. From the mood boards to the custom vendor lists to Sarah managing all contact with our vendors, we were able to focus on the important and fun parts of wedding planning because Sarah handled the organization and details.
Sarah's extensive experience working with more boutique size weddings was exactly what we needed. Even when we threw a curveball that we were having a two day event, it didn't faze her and she instantly put us at ease with explaining how we would make both days amazing. Because of the great relationships Kindred Weddings and Events has with so many vendors, we easily set-up both events with minimal stress on vendors and us. As the bride, I was hidden away in a room for hair and make-up for hours both days not knowing how things were progressing with decor and set-up. I had the most amazing experience getting to walk out and see the fully completed look at the venue that we had been working on for so many months. There is no better feeling than being able to be in the moment on your wedding day and knowing that everything was going to be amazing.

Sarah - our first and best decision made in planning our most magical wedding!!
From the moment we logged on for our initial zoom consultation call, I knew Sarah was going to be helping us plan our wedding! She asked us the most thoughtful questions to help us work through and discover our couple style, and to determine what elements, items, and colors were important to us, to ensure that they were woven throughout our wedding celebration! We decided immediately after our call that she would be the first member we hired to be a part of our vendor team - Best. Decision. Ever!!
Little did we know, the pandemic was coming, so we navigated through the pandemic, postponing, and planning all together and Sarah was such a calm presence throughout the entire planning process! She is so organized, detail oriented, and definitely impressed not only us but also our families in the detail of her planning, organization, and timeline leading up to and on the day of our wedding! She took care of including details in our wedding, and accounting for things that day that we couldn't possibly have thought of ourselves - yet she made it all feel so simple, smooth, and as flawless as you could make a nearly 100-person wedding feel!
Many of our family and friends commented that our wedding felt so “us” and that’s many thanks to Sarah’s planning style and supports! My (now!) husband and I felt like we got to enjoy our wedding day, even with time to sit back and take it all in! That was definitely thanks to Sarah’s crafting of a beautiful evening for us, and taking care of all the fine details throughout!

Absolute perfection; we couldn’t have made a better choice
At the beginning of our wedding planning, we were feeling so overwhelmed. We had a vision for what we wanted our wedding to look and feel like, but no road map to get us there. We dreaded the wedding planning process, as we’re both introverts and can barely plan a birthday dinner for six people. LOL. From the beginning, she worked with us to establish expectations and give us smaller goals to not overwhelm us.
The highlight of having Sarah as our wedding planner was the time it opened up for us to be together on our wedding day. Her orchestrating everything on the day made space for us to be present and enjoy our wedding day together.
We could make confident choices for our other wedding vendors thanks to Sarah’s expertise, knowing she had vetted them. Leading up to the wedding, we felt confident and empowered, knowing that Sarah would be there with us every step of the way.
Sarah was the right pick for us because she immediately understood the “intimate” nature of our wedding. She is highly organized and experienced in her work, and it shows! But she was also fun and excited throughout the process, making our experience much more enjoyable.

Before working with Sarah and the team form Kindred Weddings & Events, planning our wedding made us feel like we were jumping into an ocean of décor and dinner decisions with no boat and not even a life vest between us. Sure, we can swim, but doing it alone seemed so overwhelming and like it would be very tiring, so we reached out for help – and along came our solution in Kindred Weddings & Events, so all aboard!
Our favorite part of having Sarah as our wedding planner/coordinator was how well put together everything was for us. Sarah was organized, reliable, and punctual, as well as positive and just generally a nice person to be around. Because of the expertise of a wedding planner, we were able to relax a bit and enjoy the ride more. We were able to focus more on our personal goals and hopes for the day and worry less about the smaller details and what steps to take next. Sarah guided through the vast waters of wedding decisions and helped us sail through our day with ease – in the end, it was a breeze!

COVID changed our wedding plans twice: first, we postponed by eleven months; later, we downsized our guest list by about a hundred people and opted to change our venue from a restaurant to my grandparents’ backyard. Suddenly, with about three months to go until our ceremony, we found ourselves without a day-of coordinator. Realizing we’d bitten off more than we could chew, we decided to find a planner to help us out.
As a business that specializes in intimate weddings and offers design services, Kindred Weddings and Events seemed to be a pretty perfect match for our needs. After an initial consultation, we felt confident we’d found a good fit – and Sarah validated that judgment every step of the way. She really listened to us, getting to know us and developing an understanding of our wedding wants and needs. Her recommendations (on design, vendors etc.) were almost always spot on the first time around, and if there was anything we needed adjusted, she did so with no issue. She was readily available for any questions that came up on our end, and was invaluable in coordinating communication between us and our vendors. Since our wedding occurred at the height of the Omicron surge, she was extremely understanding about our health concerns, and we greatly appreciated how much she helped us implement the many safety protocols we decided were necessary to protect our guests, and our vendors and ourselves.
For as smooth as the process was under Sarah’s guidance, it wasn’t until the day of the wedding, when we actually saw everything come together, that we fully grasped what an incredible job she’d done. Everything was perfect, from the stunning way the backyard was transformed to the way the ceremony and reception flowed together. The whole thing was better than we could’ve ever imagined, and we owe so much of that to Sarah. We highly recommend her services to anyone in the L.A. area planning a small wedding. -

Kindred Weddings and Events was essential. Absolutely essential. We had no idea what to do multiple times during the planning stages of our wedding, whether it was making choices of vendors, postponing due to the pandemic, or how to make sure that all our guests are safe and comfortable in a post-pandemic wedding. Yet Sarah was always there for us, patient, calm, organized, and ready to guide us through the minefield of planning what turned out to be the greatest day of our lives. The wedding itself went so smooth, and the reception was a fun filled romp that we didn't want to end. All of this can be attributed to Sarah and her team, ready to solve a problem or jump in if we needed them. Thank you so much, Sarah, for helping us pull of a miracle, our miracle. My now-husband and I were at our wit's end after canceling our wedding twice during the pandemic. We needed to start from scratch with a more intimate celebration in Los Angeles, rather than Ohio... which was where our original wedding was planned. But we were frustrated and exhausted at the idea of starting over, so we decided to seek some help.
There's no other way to say it -- Sarah saved us! After taking time to get to know us and the aesthetic we were shooting for, she was able to narrow down the pool of vendors to people who met our criteria and were available to be a part of our day. She even offered to reach out and start those conversations for me... and remained our point of contact through our wedding day. Spoiler alert -- every single one of them totally knocked it out of the park. I was so happy with my flowers, for example, that I decided to preserve my bouquet!
Another thing I very much appreciated about Sarah -- she was available to us and responsive via email and text. It was my first wedding -- which means I had no idea what I was doing. We did monthly check-ins to make sure we were both on the right track. She asked all the right questions to get me thinking about things I wouldn't have otherwise. She helped me plan for the unexpected. And her process is so clear and organized. By the time our day arrived, I was totally confident we were on the same page. And she was there to set up and coordinate everything, making sure our party went off without a hitch.
I'd book Sarah again without thinking twice and would recommend her to friends. She's detail-oriented, a great listener, and knew exactly how to lead this stressed-out couple through the planning process (AGAIN!) while being thoughtful and kind. -

Sarah is fantastic!
Sarah was fantastic to work with. At the beginning of the wedding process, I was overwhelmed with the amount of things we had to do, details that I'm sure I wasn't thinking about, and overall unsure how to design a wedding. Sarah helped us find our 'look,' helped us with mapping out what needed to be done each month to stay on track, and any time I texted or emailed worrying about something, she was quick to respond and helped me stay calm! Our wedding had to be switched to a much smaller backyard wedding due to COVID, and she helped us pivot well and made the backyard beautiful- and kept us on time the day of! She is a fun, vibrant person to be around and really takes the time to get to know her couples and make sure the wedding is everything they wanted. Highly recommend!! -

When we decided to move forward with our wedding in 2020 we struggled to figure our how to to plan a safe wedding with our immediate family in our own backyard. All I had to do was google was "micro-weddings" and Sarah's website was one of the first hits. I clicked it and was immediately at ease while going through her beautiful and informative website. I quickly reached out to set up a virtual meeting and the rest was history. After a few emails we figured out the right fit for us and we started our planning. Sarah was a dream to work with every step of the way, all while making sure we created an intimate, safe and special day. I also worked with a hair and make-up artist and photographer per Sarah's recommendation, and it's so clear that she only works with the best. Day-of she handled everything like a true pro and put her own little touches on that make it perfect. I would highly recommend Sarah and anyone from her realm for all your event needs...especially now! -

Sarah was absolutely amazing throughout the entire wedding process but especially the day of the event. We had several different meetings leading up to the wedding where Sarah went over different checklist items and things that we should think about in terms of planning out the wedding, which was especially helpful since the majority of our wedding was very DIY. Her tips and advice were extremely helpful and made the process much easier. On the day of the event Sarah was there early and smiling and ready to help with anything and everything that she could. She had an assistant with her and together they handled organizing all of the different decor items throughout the venue and decorating each of the tables with the decor that we provided. She coordinated with each of our vendors so that we did not need to do anything except enjoy our wedding. The wedding ran on time (actually even a little bit ahead of schedule!) because Sarah was constantly on the ball making sure that each vendor was in the right place at the right time and that everyone involved in our wedding party (which is especially difficult with a big Italian family during the photographs portion of the wedding) were where they needed to be at the right time. I can’t thank her enough for all the help she provided, we really could not have done this without her! -

Before we hired Sarah as our wedding planner, planning a wedding seemed pretty daunting. But once Sarah was on board, she helped us make a plan and made all of the planning much easier and less stressful. Our favorite part about working with her was her calm, yet focused energy. Because of her expertise, we knew our wedding day logistics were taken care of, which allowed us to enjoy the day. I am so glad we found Kindred Wedding and Events! I hired Sarah as the day-of coordinator for our wedding and it was the perfect fit. Most planners didn't offer a package like this and it was just what I needed. But Sarah was also available by phone and email the month leading up to the wedding and was always super helpful and full of good ideas -- everything from wedding favor ideas to what our officiant should say in the ceremony!
I didn't meet Sarah in person until the day before our wedding. I will never forget how nervous and anxious I was heading into the venue for the walk-through, but as soon as I met Sarah all that melted away. She is so sweet and capable and I realized that she had everything under control and that I really was going to be able to relax and enjoy my wedding day! What a gift!
On the day of the wedding Sarah was definitely two steps ahead at all times. All of my family loved her and commented on how great she was! For example, my dad kept telling the story that when one of the best man's buttons fell off, she not only sewed it back on but also reinforced the other buttons so they wouldn't come off later! That pretty much sums Sarah up -- solving problems before they even arise. If I could have told myself one thing leading up to the wedding it would be how great Sarah would be and that I really had nothing to worry about. It went more smoothly than I could have hoped! It is impossible for me to express how amazing Sarah is. Hiring Sarah as our day of coordinator was the best decision we've made in this wedding because she is so much more than that.
She helped me to stay organized, she thought of things that I would never think of, and answered every single one of my questions before I could ask it.
We did our walk through of the venue, rehearsal, and detail meeting a week before the wedding and at that moment, I didn't think it was possible to be more sure that we had made the right decision...that is until we saw her in action on the day of. She took complete control while also being the sweetest person in the world. She made it very clear that she was going to take care of us, and that she did.
When I walked into the reception, on my way to the first look, I actually started crying because the vision that I had imagined for so long, had come to life and was perfectly executed with touches that I didn't even think of. This is so so important for someone like me who had put so much time and thought into everything for the last year and a half.
There were so many things going on behind the scenes and Sarah handled it all. If you are anything like me, you rely heavily on reviews and you're always afraid of making the wrong decision. I promise you, hire Sarah, she will not disappoint you. Thank you Sarah, I literally couldn't have done this without you. -

I chose the DIY package and I am glad she offers that because I really wanted to be hands-on with the planning, but have help with questions, the rehearsal and the day of. She professional in every step and I appreciated her advice, calmness under pressure and creative ideas at the wedding when I needed it with the decorations. I felt taken care of, that was well organized and treated all the guests with respect and consideration. Happy to recommend her to anyone having a wedding. -
