  Amazing Wedding Photographer!

  Kina was absolutely wonderful to work with for our June 2023 wedding! We loved her photography style and how she captures such natural, candid moments. She is also willing to shoot partially on film, which we absolutely loved! She did a great job of managing the timeline, ensuring that we got all the shots we wanted, and was great at managing the situation when we were at more crowded photo locations. She fit right in with our family and bridal party and really helped to put everyone at ease. We received our preview gallery back so quickly and I'm thrilled with the photos! She so beautifully captured our day and got so many photos of moments that I didn't even realize she was there for. I could not recommend her enough to anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer!

  Amazing Boudoir Shoot Experience!

  Kina photographed my bridal boudoir shoot recently. From the moment she arrived, she made me feel comfortable. She was helpful in styling outfits, directing the shots, and keeping it light ALL while capturing the most beautiful and natural photos. After, Kina had a quick turnaround on my photos and worked with me to ensure my final album was exactly what I wanted. I can't recommend Kina enough. If you are looking for classy, timeless, and editorial boudoir photos--go to Kina.

  Simply the best!

  We worked with Kina for our June 2022 wedding, and can't recommend her enough! Not only did Kina beautifully capture all the special moments & raw emotions of the day, but she was SO easy and enjoyable to work with. A true professional, she put everyone at ease with her cool, calm, and collected vibe, and she gelled seamlessly with our bridal party and guests. Kina helped ensure the entire day ran accordingly to plan, while still accommodating & capturing all the impromptu, organic moments (which often make the best photos!).
  Looking at our wedding photos, it feels like re-living the day over and over again. Thank you, Kina, for capturing the essence of our wedding perfectly. We will cherish these photos forever!

  Working with Kina was amazing, and she did such an amazing job at capturing all of the true emotions that we had on our wedding day. All of our photos were not posed and all real moments which was one of our favorite parts. I could look at our pictures over and over again! I would Highly Highly recommend her, as she is truly amazing at what she does!

  Kina is an absolutely amazing photographer. Every time I see her work, I am in awe of what she is able to capture. Right after meeting Kina, my mom and I were so impressed we didn't have to see any more of her work to know she would be the perfect person to photograph my wedding. She is the sweetest person and it was so fun to have her be a part of our day. It's funny when your vendors are such genuine people that you want to have them as your guests too! Kina made sure to organize all shots, including group family photos. She made things so easy and relaxed. I highly recommend Kina, she is so talented!

  Being a photographer myself, I think it goes without saying that my wedding photographer was the most important thing to me. I searched through countless photographers to find one that was just right. I found Kina Wicks Photography, and was instantly blown away. Her work is simply beautiful. After meeting with Kina, I immediately felt a connection with her, and knew she was the one I wanted to photograph my big day. She has such a passion for photography, and it is so clear when talking with her. She uses both film and digital to capture your wedding, which is incredible to me. Anyone who chooses to still use film is very passionate about the art of photography, which of course I appreciated. She is extremely sweet and professional also. She takes her time to pose you and make sure you look your best, yet she is also great at capturing the subtle moments that aren't posed. She knows what to do to capture the candid, sweet moments between a couple. My dad was also thoroughly impressed with Kina on the day of my wedding. She was moving all around, making sure she captured everything, and my dad appreciated that. Kina isn't one of those photographers who gives you thousands of pictures to sit and go through. She carefully selects all the images you receive that she feels tells the story of your wedding day. I think photography is so important to splurge on, because it is the one thing of your wedding that lasts. Everything else goes away, food gets eaten, flowers die, but photos truly last a lifetime. I highly recommend using Kina Wicks for your wedding photographer.

  Kina is an absolute professional and extremely talented! Her work is so incredible and she was there from our Engagement Session to my Boudoir Shoot to our Wedding Day. I love her style and she's such an amazing person to work with- I was always looking forward to seeing her again after our Engagement Shoot. We are so lucky we had Kina there capturing our most precious moments!! I'd recommend her in a heartbeat and can't wait to work with her again!

  Working with Kina was a dream come true! A mutual friend introduced us and from the moment my now husband and I met her we knew she was the one who we wanted to capture our day. We were very nervous about choosing a photographer as we had a very specific idea of how we wanted our picture to look. We love the look and feel of film photography (vs. digital) and really wanted to capture the raw, emotional moments of the day as opposed to a lot of posed images. Kina delivered all that and more! Our pictures came out absolutely stunning and as I mentioned before, she was a dream to work with. When it came to our engagement pictures it felt so natural to be around her and she made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. On the big day, she was pure perfection as well! We had a 2nd photographer in addition to Kina and they both went above and beyond to accommodate everyone's last minute requests and adapt to the not so perfect weather we had. In the end, every single one of our wedding party and family were raving about her and how great she was to work with. And most importantly, we LOVE our pictures. We can't stop staring at them and cannot say enough amazing things about her and her work. I would recommend her one thousand times over!

  Kina is an absolute blessing to the photography industry! Her photos really do speak for themselves. Kina is friendly & professional in all aspects of her work. I found Kina through a personal reference (I also have previous modeling experience where I've interacted with many different photographers).
  
  Hands down the reason I give Kina 5+ stars is because she uses both film AND digital (a majority of the wedding was shot with film). Shooting with film makes a world difference in the quality of photos because it uses the natural light which results in crisp, superior images compared to a digital camera. My family and friends could not stop raving about how much they enjoyed meeting Kina; then when they saw the photos they were in awe of how beautiful the pictures came out.
  
  From the initial email that I sent, Kina responded within 2 hours. Her website is easy to navigate with sample gallery's for your viewing pleasure. One thing (among many) is that Kina is always prompt in replying to emails and phone calls!
  
  Her primary focus is to make sure your wedding day perfect, and that starts with understanding your vision. Her attention to detail captured the true essence of our special day. The day of our wedding she arrived early and greeted everyone with a warm smile and cheerful attitude. She immediately began her work, capturing us getting ready along with those candid moments where you're surrounded by your family and wedding party. The photos from the entire wedding: ceremony, portraits and reception all came back flawless.
  
  If you're looking for a fun, professional photographer who's focus is to capture the intricate details of your wedding day and make them memorable for the rest of your life, look no further than Kina! Hands down she is the best photographer I have ever worked with and there's no doubt I will be using her in the future! :-)

  Kina is absolutely amazing!! I would recommend her to anyone getting married! She photographed our wedding day and i could not be happier with the photos! She was so easy to work with-very helpful throughout the process before the wedding and on the wedding day she was perfect! as always there are groomsmen that are a pain in the butt and she knew how to get them "smiling for the camera!" and to listen! she was fabulous and i couldnt have picked anyone else.   Kina photographed my July 5th wedding and she did an absolutely fantastic job! I cannot say enough about her talent, professionalism, and attention to detail. Words cannot describe the joy I had while reliving my wedding day through photos. From the moment she arrived at the hotel while we were getting ready, she took charge in the best way possible. My bridesmaids (all 10 of them) could not believe how great she was-- directing the shots, but keeping the process upbeat and fun! She delivered on everything that we were promised and then some. I would HIGHLY recommend her as your wedding photographer!

  You will LOVE your photos! Kina is not only an amazing photographer, but also a joy to work with. I knew we had to have her shoot our wedding when she was my friend's wedding photographer in 2012. She was the first vendor we booked for our wedding June 2014. Everyone comments on how beautiful and ethereal our photos are. We even chose not to hire a videographer, knowing Kina would capture all the details and the essence of the wedding. Could not recommend more highly.

  Kina photographed one of my friend's weddings. After seeing her work I knew I wanted to her to capture my wedding moments. I was so sure I wanted to use Kina I barely researched anyone else.
  
  When my husband and I first met Kina for our face to face meeting I felt like I was hanging out with a good friend. She's so sweet, friendly and personable!
  
  Everyone that has viewed our photos has said that they are amazing and our photographer was awesome. Even the groomsmen said it was easy to take photos because of Kina's personality. While she's fun and kind she can round a troop like no one!
  
  Kina definitely held true on her promise of capturing emotions throughout the day and not just taking photos. I cannot put into words the amazingly beautiful photos we now have to treasure because of Kina. I'm having the hardest time picking what photos to print because each photo is better than the last. I would choose Kina over and over and over again to shoot our engagement and wedding photos. I strongly recommend that you do too as you will NOT be disappointed. I really could go on forever of about Kina's amazingness!

  Kina photographed one of my friend's weddings. After seeing her work I knew I wanted to her to capture my wedding moments. I was so sure I wanted to use Kina I barely researched anyone else.
  
  When my husband and I first met Kina for our face to face meeting I felt like I was hanging out with a good friend. She's so sweet, friendly and personable!
  
  Everyone that has viewed our photos has said that they are amazing and our photographer was awesome. Even the groomsmen said it was easy to take photos because of Kina's personality. While she's fun and kind she can round a troop like no one!
  
  Kina definitely held true on her promise of capturing emotions throughout the day and not just taking photos. I cannot put into words the amazingly beautiful photos we now have to treasure because of Kina. I'm having the hardest time picking what photos to print because each photo is better than the last. I would choose Kina over and over and over again to shoot our engagement and wedding photos. I strongly recommend that you do too as you will NOT be disappointed. I really could go on forever of about Kina's amazingness!

  Kina does wonders with natural light and this was exactly the look that I was looking for in a wedding photographer. Kina has a great eye for selecting great backgrounds and beautiful settings for photos. From past wedding party experiences, my husband wasn't looking forward to our engagement shoot and afterwards he was very happy with how the session went and our wedding day! Kina is extremely fun and easy to work with; and she has a unique ability to make you feel completely at ease in front of the camera. She provides direction to make you look your best, but still allows you to be yourself.

I knew I wanted to work with her from the moment we first met, she was warm and completely understood my vision of my wedding day. During the planning time for my wedding she was very responsive and gave quick and thoughtful responses to all of million questions. On the day itself she was the best person to have by my side all day long. She helped keep the day flowing and made sure that we got all the shoots that I wanted. The photos came out absolutely amazing. She has such a great eye for natural lighting and composition. I am so happy that I choose her as my photographer and have amazing photos to look at to remember this most special day.

  Kina was the best choice for our wedding. We could not have asked for a better person to capture our very special moments! I would choose her a million times over again. My pictures turned out beautiful. Kina makes you feel like you have known her your entire life. She has a warm and bubbly personality you can't help but to love. I STRONGLY recommend her.

  Kina is AMAZING!! She does beautiful work and is one of the sweetest people I have ever met! I would recommend her to any bride. She knows exactly what will look good and directs you so you feel very comfortable. My husband even got very giddy when I told him our pictures were available to look at! Her prices are extremely reasonable as well, especially for the quality of work you are getting and for being in the Chicago area. She was worth every penny and I will be giving her a call the minute I find out I am pregnant so she can do my maternity pictures and newborn pictures!!
