Most Beautiful Wedding Dress Ever!

After an extensive search for the perfect wedding dress, we made the journey from Charlotte to Atlanta to visit Kelly's Closet for my daughter Courtney's gown. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this experience would be exceptional.

The staff at Kelly's Closet went above and beyond to ensure Courtney felt special. With a wide range of designer options, she ultimately chose a stunning custom dress from an overseas designer. While there were delays in the dress's arrival—through no fault of either the designer or the shop—Kelly's Closet kept us informed every step of the way, alleviating much of the stress we felt.

As the wedding day approached, timing became crucial. In a remarkable display of dedication, Kelly personally drove the dress from Atlanta to Charlotte not once, but twice, ensuring everything was perfect for the alterations. Her genuine care for Courtney’s experience was evident and greatly appreciated.

Making the trip to Atlanta was undoubtedly the best decision we made in this process. I wholeheartedly recommend Kelly's Closet to any future bride. Their commitment to customer service and attention to detail truly set them apart. Thank you, Kelly and team, for making Courtney’s wedding dress experience so memorable!

The BEST dress shop to exist

I cannot emphasize how wonderful Kelly's Closet was during my dress experience. They were personable, kind and so helpful during my dress search. I ultimately found the most wonderful dress and it was such an amazing experience. They have in house alterations to make things even easier! I cannot recommend Kelly's Closet enough.

The best part of wedding planning!

Getting my dress at Kelly's Closet was one of my favorite parts of the wedding planning process! We had a six-month engagement, so I was tight on time to find a dress, but everyone I know who has been married in Atlanta said I needed to try Kelly's Closet and I'm so grateful they squeezed me in with an appointment because I found the dress! They were SO kind and patient helping me make the decision and took great care in taking my measurements to get accurate sizing to help minimize the alterations that would be needed. And then throughout alterations - again just so patient and kind and listened to how I wanted things to look so I felt beautiful in the finished product. I wish they had a boutique for regular clothes so I could still enjoy the vibe and people!

Great experience

From the time I called Kelly to make an appointment to picking up my dress was the best experience! I purchased my dress only 2 months before the wedding; when I called Kelly, she was excited and wanted to help me find what I wanted. I tried on 5 dresses and the 5th one was her! She fit like a glove and was very beautiful! Kelly and her entire staff are great and we’re always eager to help! Thank you Kelly for helping me and for the beautiful dress! I was gorgeous ❤️

A Great Experience!

I had a wonderful experience getting my dress at Kelly’s Closet! Kelly’s Closet had lots of different styles and designers, so you really are able to get a feel for what kind of dress you’re looking for. I always thought I knew what I wanted, but of course, I tried on a long sleeve Jenny Yoo dress that I thought I would hate, but fell in love with! I went to one more bridal store after trying on “the dress”, but couldn’t stop thinking about the one I tried on at Kelly’s Closet, so my mom and I went back the next day to purchase it!

I don’t live in Atlanta, but decided to get my alterations done at Kelly’s Closet, as they have a cap on their alterations. Kelly and her team were great at offering suggestions on how to alter the dress, and Nora, the in-house seamstress, was amazing! She has a great eye for alterations and always took any feedback I had after fittings seriously to make sure my dress fitted exactly how I wanted it to!

I would 100% recommend making an appointment to try on dresses at Kelly’s Closet - you won’t be disappointed with their selections, and their customer service is top of the line!

TL:DR: I had a fantastic experience at Kelly’s. I originally THOUGHT I knew exactly what I wanted in a wedding dress, but eventually realized the style I was dreaming of really wasn’t the right one for me. That left me back to square one, with not much time to spare, until I went to Kelly’s. She pulled a sample of a style completely different than what I’d been trying on, and it turns out that was perfect! It was flattering and classic with a little uniqueness - exactly what I was hoping for. Plus, as a sample, it was on an amazing discount and worked for my timeframe. Because of proximity to my job, I ended up starting my alterations at a different shop, but after awhile I realized that tailor was not “the right fit” for me. I ended up back at Kelly’s to finish up my alterations, and they were awesome in advising me what shapewear I needed and talking me through everything. They were easy to talk to and I didn’t feel pressured to style my look any certain way. I loved their shop’s unique and stylish feel. They’re kind, communicative, and patient and it was so awesome to get to work with Kelly herself, too. Thank you, Kelly and team!

A wonderful experience!

The process of finding and purchasing a wedding dress at Kelly's Closet was a real dream! I had been looking online at wedding dresses for a while before I stepped into any stores and chose Kelly's Closet to visit first because of all of the beautiful independent designers they carried. The store is cozy and relaxed, and everyone working there made me immediately feel at ease. I found my dress during that first visit to the store, and the rest of the process went seamlessly. They kept me up to date as the dress was being made and shipped to the store, and their in house seamstress was wonderful. The care and attention she put into altering my dress was amazing. Destination Wedding PR

I was sent to Kelly's closet with a recommendation from a co worker. I had been around town and hadn't found a dress yet. I walked into Kelly's closet and Madison was amazing from the start. She showed me something that was beyond my expectations. Kelly personally takes care of each bride when they come in for fittings. I purchased a sample dress and by the time I took it home it looked like new!!! I was very happy with my dress and received so many compliments. Thank you Kelly and your team!

Best Experience & Variety

Kelly’s Closet has an incredible, wide variety of beautiful dresses. They carried the designers that I was struggling to find anywhere in Charlotte and I am so thankful we made the trip to Atlanta! My appointment was with Katie and she is so patient, nice and overall just so wonderful to work with. Because of my great experience, it was the first place my sister booked an appointment to try on dresses a few months ago. I tried on dresses at a couple other places, have gone with friends to look for their dresses, and nothing compares to the selection and experience at Kelly’s.

Unique Dresses in a laid back environment

I am so so happy that I purchased from Kelly's Closet. They were so quick to respond, realistic regarding pricing, and incredibly helpful. The day I tried on dresses was wonderful and calm. Alterations were incredible and spot on (I got my dress from the sample sale rack and it needed some adjustments of the beading as well). Thank you so much for the great experience! Best Wedding Boutique in ATL

I can not say enough amazing things about this place. I immediately walked in with welcome arms and felt in amazing vibe right off the bat, which is very important when wedding dress shopping! My consultant, Katie, was marvelous. She made me feel comfortable and was so accommodating throughout the whole process. I had to leave for another scheduled appointment, and that place was NOTHING compared to Kelly's Closet. When I wanted to come back that night to choose my first dress choice, they were closing. But Katie offered me an appointment the next day on her day off just for me! The dress selection is gorgeous and unique, I wanted to try everything on. But the environment and staff is what made my experience all that much better. I recommend this place t o any upcoming bride, you won't regret it!

The Best Experience

I can’t praise Kelly’s Closet enough. My experience there has been of the most special ones I’ve had through the wedding planning process. I’m a modern minimalist bride and spent a month researching various shops in ATL to plan a weekend of appointments to find the dress. Kelly’s closet was my first appointment and Madison was my consultant. She watched as I picked dresses — paying attention to what caught my eye and what I said “no” to when my matron of honor and mom brought over dresses. Madison pulled ONE dress for me to try on. It wasn’t one that would’ve caught my eye on the rack but it was absolutely perfect. I was shocked! 15 minutes into my first appointment, I found my dress. I’ve told every future bride I know that it’s worth the trip to ATL for the experience! Couldn’t be happier!

Great Dress Selection and Service!

I tried a few places when shopping for wedding dresses, but nothing compared to Kelly’s Closet! They had a wide range of options for all styles, which also include a lot of options within the specific style I was looking for (which was something I had a hard time with at other dress shops). I worked with Lo to find my dress and she was amazing - so kind, patient, encouraging, and genuine. She brought so much peace and celebration to the process. And, Nora, my seamstress was also wonderfully kind and patient and she fitted my dress with perfect skill and expertise! I could not be happier with the dress I got from Kelly’s as well as my experience working with Lo and Nora!

A special and magical place

Kelly's Closet is a special place. I had the most amazing consultant (Katie). She made the experience an absolute joy. Every dress was more beautiful than the rest-I have a unique style and was always nervous that I would not find a dress I loved, but the Closet was a dream come true. They got my style immediately-listened to everything I had to say and my main concerns. Also, as someone who has struggled with body image it was such a validating and body positive experience. If you are a bit of a funky, bohemian or just different bride this place is your dream. Everything about the experience was warm, inviting, intentional, and special. I will always remember my day here, it was truly phenomenal.

This was my very first appointment and it was perfect. I was nervous and excited about trying on dresses and Elizabeth explained the whole process to me and helped me try on a bunch of dresses in my budget so I could get a feel for what I liked. I came during a sample sale, which I highly recommend for anyone with a smaller budget. Mine was $1000 and I found a ton of great dresses to try on! If there hadn't been a sale it might have been a bit out of my range. Kelly, the owner, was also amazing! We were supposed to eat at the restaurant next door right before the appointment (we drove two hours to get to ATL) and when I called to put our name on the list to make sure we had enough time to eat, they said they couldn't do that, even though the week prior a manager had said we could. I called the bridal shop and Kelly herself walked down and talked to the hostess and made sure that we got a table. She really went above and beyond to make sure that my very first experience was great. <3

Although I didn't buy my wedding dress at Kelly's Closet, I did purchase my bridal earrings there. I found these unique earrings that are a mix of opal and crystals with just the right amount of dangle. They were also on sale that day for half off! I bought them several months in advance of my wedding and tried them on often because I loved them so much and couldn't wait for everyone to see them. Although I was only looking for earrings, the owner personally assisted me. This little shop was overwhelmingly impressive for both unique accessories and dresses. I wanted to write a review because my bridal earrings were my favorite accessory and they made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day! Thank you!

I just wanted to write a review and tell you all how fond I am on Kelly's closet. Our experience was absolutely delightful. I was struggling with finding dresses in my budget, then all of a sudden Kelly (THE Kelly) came swooping in like a blissful angel out of nowhere and started pulling dresses off the rack for me and they were all in my price range and all made me feel like a queen. She was the kindest, coolest chick and definitely understood the difficult situation I was in- I was in the tricky situation where I fell in love with two dresses, one from Kelly's closet and another from a different boutiqe. I ended up going with the other dress, which to this day- Im still not sure it was the right move!! HOWEVER- Kelly was so very understanding, so helpful, and still sent me a christmas card in the mail months later!! I love her. I want to go back just to chat. I highly recommend looking for your dress there!! Oh and also- the most beautiful options of gowns!!

Where to begin! Without Kelly's Closet, I would not have my dream dress, plain and simple. Madison was my consultant and I described my dream dress to her and then we selected all the dresses I wanted to try on. After trying a few, I decided to put some dress back on the rack. When I attempted to put my dress back on the rack (yes this is a true story, I tried to give it up before putting it on), Madison sweetly suggested I keep it to try because it had so many of the details I described. Well! Bless her, because it was my dress! Ugly tears and all. Thank you to the sweetest little bridal boutique for making this girl's dream dress come true!!

We love this store! The selection is wonderful - unique and beautiful dresses. They have a wide range of designers and the dresses are really beautiful and high quality. They often have samples so you can buy a dress for under $1,000 if you find a sample you like. Most importantly, this is a place that makes brides feel special. The entire atmosphere is a happy one - all the staff are sweet and accommodating. Kelly, the owner, really cares about her customers and it shows. We had to make some last minute adjustments to a dress and she and Angela, the seamstress, came up with a great plan that made the dress even more beautiful and they made it happen in under a week. And, they were really sweet about everything. If you are looking for haughty people with that kind of wedding dress shop vibe, this isn't the place for you. This was the most amazing bridal experience I could have imagined.

I'm a Claire Pettibone girl, and she's as unique in the bridal industry as you can get. I live in Orlando and the closest place to me that sold her collection was Kelly's Closet. So I made an appointment for two days after speaking with the (lovely) Sarah to actually fly out for their trunk show (The only way I could look at the entire collection as opposed to just a few).

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sarah (so freaking awesome) and Jenny (the manager who was also there). It was a Thursday, so things were slow, and, because I had travelled so far, they gave me extra time. We had a marathon 4 hour appointment, and Sarah and Jenny were as excited as I was. It was so nice to have people to share this with because my mom (who they helped me facetime with) couldn't be there, nor could anyone else. They were my friends and family for the day.

I found my dress! It's wonderful and unique, and I feel so good about the decision, not only because they allowed me to take my time (and let's face it, try on the entire stock), but because they were so genuine, honest, and warm toward me. If you're in Atlanta or even on the EAST COAST at all, and you're not the traditional bride, GO HERE. They're so super great.

This shop was so adorable! And they have an awesome selection of gowns. The girl that helped me, Madison, was so sweet and helpful! She let me go through and pick out dresses myself and then brought me suggestions once she figured out my style. I had been to one other shop looking for a dress and every time i tried a new one on she tried to convince me that this was it and show me all the ways i could alter it to make it perfect. But this girl didn't do that at all! It was such a fun experience. I went when they were having a sample sale and i got my Claire Pettibone dress for only $500, which leaves me so much room in my budget to do the few alterations i want done! Love this shop!

I made a special trip to Atlanta just to visit Kelly's Closet because I knew I wanted a nontraditional wedding dress. Kelly's Closet has many traditional dresses, but they also have some unique things that you just can't find at a chain. They have a good selection of non-white dresses, which is what I was particularly interested in. The decor is beautiful, and they were so sweet to my then fiance, now husband, who wanted to come along dress shopping with me (he's a saint). The best part of my experience at Kelly's Closet was Beth, who helped me pick out and try on dresses. She was just so sweet. And spoiler alert: I totally bought a white, traditional dress. ;)

It was such a breath of fresh air when I first walked into the shop. As I glanced around the room at all the beautiful dresses, I had great confidence that I would find my dress that day. All the gowns were so beautifully detailed and so unique to the previous ones I had seen. All the girls made me feel so comfortable and let me take my time looking around.
It was only a few dresses later that I found THE dress and I cannot be more grateful and appreciative of all the care and time that they put in helping me. And a big thanks to Colleen for working such artistry with the alterations...especially taking in the waist the week before! I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day and I know a big part of that was because of Kelly's Closet. I have already started telling any soon-to-be bride to head there because there is simply no place better.

I had heard about Kelly's closet through friends and their cute shop and how friendly the staff was. I was not disappointed. Although I knew what dress I wanted before I walked in the door, they were patient, helpful and ready to assist with whatever my bridley needs were. Ordering was easy and fast. They notified me every step of the way and were incredibly flexible with fittings as I travel 90% of the time for my job. My dress ended up being extremely complicated to fit as I am very small on the top and larger on the bottom. I had delicate sleeves and Kelly's seamstresses worked tirelessly to get the fit right and re-structure the entire dress at no additional cost. Kelly's always made time for me and were so, so friendly throughout. It felt like family at the end and there were hugs as I whisked away the final product on my final fitting.

I found my gorgeous Lela Rose gown at Kelly's Closet last year and just had my wedding on Saturday. From start to end, Kelly's Closet was amazing to deal with. They are a beautiful boutique style shop with gorgeous and unique gowns I didn't find anywhere else in Atlanta. Gina, my consultant, provided me a wonderfully personal experience with all of my follow up appointments and fittings. My alterations were also done at Kelly's by Angela. Laura at Kelly's Closet made my dress buying experience the most fun. Everything about my interaction with Kelly's Closet has been wonderful. Laura handled my appointment, and she did an excellent job of staying within my budget while suggesting lots of gown options that fit my bohemian/whimsical style. The seamstress was also on site to offer realistic expectations for how much she could tailor each dress to fit my figure. Honestly, I almost cancelled my appointment because I thought I could never afford the designers listed on their website, and I am SO glad I didn't. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, and I was able to afford my dream dress.

I had the pleasure of working with Hanna, and wow, she. is. AMAZING! This was the first place I tried on dresses and Hanna made a super exciting and awesome experience even better! She was very patient and extremely respectful of my budget. She was so willing to work with me and with different ideas. I would HIGHLY recommend Kelly's Closet, and if you go, make an appointment with Hanna. Everyone was so nice, helpful, and supportive!!! My experience with Laura was more than I could have hoped for. After trying other wedding dress shops (including a trip to Kleinfelds…) I felt very frustrated and disillusioned by the whole wedding dress experience. I never connected with any of the other salespeople, I felt that they were only interested in commission, and there was nothing special about the experience. Everything changed when I went to Kelly's Closet. Laura let me try on a million different dresses, the whole atmosphere was very calm and enchanted. I truly felt special and I felt that the dresses I was trying on were special. Laura was so genuine and helpful, I felt like I was shopping with an old friend. She truly made my experience a memorable one. I would highly recommend going to Kelly's Closet.

I found Kelly's Closet because it's the only store in Georgia that carries Lea-Ann Belter dresses. My parents came in from out of town and we had a weekend of dress shopping planned. Jenny was so patient- she encouraged me to try on any dress I found at all interesting. I had been shopping for dresses one other time, and didn't feel great after that experience. Kelly's Closet was the complete opposite. When my mom and future mother in law started crying and someone realized the store was somehow out of tissues, someone ran across the street to get more! After spending the morning trying on dresses, we ended up cancelling our other appointments. I found my dress.

Laura, my stylist at Kellys Closet was by far the best stylist I have worked with while trying to find my dream dress. The store and designers offered were great, but she really made the experience beyond perfect. They do a great job of listening to the bride and making her feel like she really matters. I never felt pushed or pressured and the help and advice was as genuine as it could be. Anyone shopping in Atlanta needs to come here if they want and amazing experience and some fabulous dresses to try choose from. BEST EXPERIENCE BY FAR. Thanks Laura!!!

The absolute best bridal shop in Atlanta! Don't let the Little-Five location scare you off. This is a wonderful boutique with a fabulous selection of designer gowns, very personal (and patient!) service - they never complained even while i tried on over 20 dresses! Once i finally made a decision, Angela was the best seamstress ever. She fitted my gown perfectly, and the alterations were reasonable, given the price of the gown. I was very turned off by the more famous Buckhead shops and their snooty salespeople, but Kelly's rocks!

This store is amazing! It was quaint and intimate with a vintage feel and gorgeous dresses. Every time I went in for a fitting, it was packed! But, Kelly still knew me by face and name and would join us for my fitting appointments with great feedback and tips. Angela, she did my alterations, was amazing and did an incredible job with my dress. Everyone I worked with there was so kind and helpful. And, I felt they provided a great value for the quality.

Being an out of town bride with a wedding that was six months away, I had a great experience with the ladies at Kelly's Closet. Needless to say, I was unaware that the dress aspect of planning a wedding needed to be done much more in advanced. However, I was able to find a dress, get fitted perfectly on fitting number two after my initial appointment and my dress was flawless when my sister brought it down. We also bought a lace jacket and headpiece for my dress from them that brought everything together. The ladies were absolutely fantastic and I highly enjoyed their professionalism and support. Plus, I loved their rules, which is highly needed when dealing with body image on such a day that can be nerve wrecking. Thank you, ladies!

My experience at Kelly's was absolutely amazing thanks to our wonderful consultant, Susan! She truly made the dress shopping experience fun and exciting. She paid excellent attention to my likes & dislikes as well as providing her expert advice and opinion in an honest fashion. I really appreciated how down-to-Earth and patient she was with me and treated me as if I was the only bride in the store. Not only is she a fabulous consultant, she grew to be a great friend my mom and I looked forward to seeing during alterations and fittings. She was funny, sweet and just an all out positive person who has the perfect energy every bride needs sometimes when the dress search can become overwhelming! I wish we hadn't gone anywhere else before Kelly's because as soon as we met Susan, we knew she was the one to help guide me to my perfect gown. Kelly's is a wonderful boutique shop and a refreshing change from the huge gown stores. They really do have a dress for everyone no matter your style, price range or color. I was searching for a vintage, romantic lace gown and that's exactly what I found! I came to Kelly's Closet because they were having a trunk show of Jenny Packham dresses. My bridal consultant was Susan and she was extremely helpful! From the moment I walked in everyone was so nice and welcoming. She let me browse the racks of gorgeous and unique dresses and pick out what I liked and wanted to try on. I knew the jenny Packham dresses were perfect for my theme and style of wedding but they were all very beautiful! Kelly, the owner has such great taste and it is so unique and rare to find dresses like she had. I love how she did not stick to the norm for wedding dresses, but still had some with a traditional touch. If you are looking for something truly different than the puffy ball gown dress I highly recommend Kelly's closet!

A magical store where I found my perfect wedding dress. Not to mention, the seamstress (Shiri? not sure about the spelling) is amazing! She changed my wedding dress (floor sample sale) from a size 11 to a size 2, and did it flawlessly! Afterwards I had little problems that she patiently fixed for me, time and again. They also sell beautiful jewelry and veils. Quite a charming space.

Perfect hidden gem in the adorable Candler Park neighborhood! Although cute and unassuming on the outside, this boutique is a treasure trove of high-end, gorgeous, unique dresses. I had visited the Atlanta bridal salons that may have more "celebrity," and they all certainly had nice dresses, but I desired a traditional, yet not "cookie-cutter"/overdone gown. Kelly's Closet has something for EVERYONE. I was in the market for a traditional, mix of vintage and modern gown. They definitely had many gowns in this category. Very many unique options to choose from!! The lineup of designers is impressive-especially for those hard-to-find designers. I fell in love with Modern Trousseau, and Kelly's is the ONLY place in GA that carries this designer (check them out if you swoon for the lace gowns!). Beautiful boutique, with gorgeous gowns. The girls there are all SO SWEET-I never felt pressured or rushed (this is uncommon in the bridal industry, so I've found-I mean, we parted with hugs. How sweet is that?). I felt like they genuinely love what they do. I'm pleased to say I found the gown at KELLY'S CLOSET! If you're coming with an entourage-try carpooling. Parking is street parking, and it might be easier to find a spot for one car as opposed to several cars. I usually park on a side street close by (it's all residential and safe). Once you're done dress shopping, the Flying Biscuit right next door made a perfect lunch spot. : )

Kelly's Closet is a cute little boutique shop that was much less intimidating, less crowded (with dresses and people), and less noisy than the other dress shops that I went to, and that made a huge difference! Best of all, the girl assigned to help me listened to my preferences and budget and then staid next to me as I looked through all the options, answering my questions and explaining cost-saving alternatives whenever something caught my eye that was a bit over budget (like ordering it in a different lace or showing me a similar style by a different designer).

My bridesmaids, much as I love them, weren't always as price/style conscious as I was when "helping" me pick out dresses, and my assistant was very polite but firm with them in not taking anything back to the dressing room that I didn't OK. Ultimately, I did buy my dress from here and they were great about updating me with production/arrival times and holding my dress until I was ready to pick it up.

I have a friend that is a professional seamstress, so she did my alterations as a wedding gift, but they did offer these services on-site at a reasonable rate.

I LOVED everything about Kelly's! My dress was on sale as a sample, but they altered it to a T, and were always SO nice and helpful. I also found a dress for my rehearsal, maid of honor dress, hair piece gifts for my bridesmaids, and my necklace for my wedding dress at Kelly's Closet! Everything there is so cute, and I loved it! We also used their recommended dry-cleaner and my sample dress looked brand new!

I specifically selected Kelly’s Closet for designers Claire Pettibone and Adele Wechsler. I made my appointment while deployed in Afghanistan and had less then four months till my wedding day. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by Lauren, who turned out to be my consultant. I was disappointed to learn the shop had just had a sample sale and the Adele Wechsler gown that was my favorite was no longer in the store. I told Lauren I was looking for something closer fitted to the body (no ball gown for this gal) and did not want strapless. She told me not to worry about the straps because if I liked a dress that was strapless, straps could be added. After trying on over a dozen dresses, my decision came down to a fitted Claire Pettibone and a strapless Adele Wechsler gown. The seamstress was in between appointments that day and worked with us to show me exactly how the dress would look once fitted to my body that sold me on the strapless Adele Wechsler gown! I had two fittings after that and took my dress with me at the end of my second fitting. Big kudos to the seamstress and my consultant.

My bridesmaid, who was with me, loved the shop so much she has recommended it to her sister and other friends. My only caution would be to brides who want a large selection of dresses, as the shop is a boutique and though has a multiple designers, it does not carry too many dresses.

I love Kelly's Closet! I had the best experience shopping and with the subsequent fittings. I had four fittings total to ensure that I was 100% happy with the fit ~ I was! Kelly's Closet is absolutely amazing. I am not a dress-wearing type of gal and had a very bad inagural dress shopping experience at another Atlanta boutique. I came to Kelly's Closet being very up front about my wedding -- on a farm, not wearing shoes, etc. The girls at Kelly's Closet (including Kelly) took the time to get to know me and because of that, found the perfect dress for me. By listening to my interests and passions, they found me a dress by an African designer that pays fair wages and uses all fair trade, organic materials! I definitely tried on a few others, but that was it. The girls were not at all pushy and let me come in and try the dress on as many times as I wanted before I actually ordered it. They even contacted the designer to consult to make sure I was getting the best fit. All the staff (including the in-house seamstress)were friendly and helpful. They seem to be able to cater to many different kinds of brides -- even ones like me who don't like dresses or heels! I also bought my hairpiece from Kelly (from my dress designer) and they allowed me to separate a set of three since I didn't need the other two! Over all, the girls were extremely responsive, helpful and understanding! I enjoyed the service so much, I was willing to pay more for my dress than I had originally envisioned.

I visited Kelly's Closet on a whim while visiting my MOH. Kelly helped me out that day, and she did a wonderful job of recognizing the kind of dress I was looking for and picking something in my budget. The store had a lot of sample dresses on sale, and I just happened to find "the" dress I'd been imagining in those stacks, so I got a great dress at a great price. I know that other reviewers have mentioned that the dress prices here are higher than elsewhere, but after looking at a lot of stores, I can honestly say that Kelly's dresses are simply of a MUCH higher quality that you'll find at most stores. Plus she does find styles that are truly unique. During my wedding, everyone commented on the style of my dress and how much it fit me both in fit and personality...plus a number of people asked to touch it -- the silk was that amazing. I can't recommend this store enough.

I love the Closet! I bought my Jenny Lee dress here, and I am so happy I did. Previously, I had shopped at Bridal's by Lori and Impressions. I had made an appt at Saks but didn't keep it after visiting the Closet. I am a larger bride (dress size 12) and I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful experience shopping here was, for me, and in comparison to the other boutiques. Kelly's staff is so well trained and so professional, yet very down to earth and friendly. I never once felt uncomfortable since the sample sizes were too small and, as a matter of fact, they encouraged me to try on several sexier dresses. Obviously, Kelly sets an incredible example to her staff, as she is just the best to work with. I fell in love with a Jenny Packham caplet on my last dress fitting visit and Kelly, who understands how broke this bride was 7 days before her wedding, made it happen within my budget. It was still crazy $$, but I love it so much and it will be a cherished piece forever.

I first found my dress online and expected it be the same price everywhere. So i went to Saks 5th avenue where they priced it at almost double the price of what i ended up paying for it!
I called Kelly's Closet because i had previousley been there and they were really helpful and friendly and proffessional and they negotiated a much cheaper price for me.
It was ordered from London and they put a rush on for me and i had it weeks before i had expected it.

Lovely people and a lovely shop that also sells casual clothes aswell.

I went to Kelly's after going to the big stores and I immediately knew I would buy my dress there. Alisa helped me get a good sense of what I wanted. We found a dress shape that I liked and then another dress that had handpainting on it, but I didn't like the actual dress. Alisa helped me arrange for the artist to paint on the dress I did like. The entire process, with painting and alternations, was less than $1500 and I have the prettiest wedding dress I've ever seen.

The ladies at Kelly's Closet were very accommodating and made my daughter feel special and important every time we entered the store. The alterations process was easy and seamless. The dresses they offer are unique and different from what you see in other bridal salons.

I love Kelly's Closet! I felt like a normal person with a normal shape here and there was no making me feel too big or oddly shaped or any of that stuff that I felt at other stores (and I'm a street size 6!). I love that Kelly's is a local shop and carries unique dresses, even if they do cost an arm and a leg. The staff was warm and put me at ease, and worked with me to find a dress that had the style I was looking for in the most flattering fit possible.

Kelly's Closet was the first and ended up being the only place I went for my dress. I had called them on a Saturday and they were able to see me the next day for an appointment. All the girls there are very nice and the shop is so charming- they make it such a wonderful and special experience for any bride. You get individual, personalized attention and they have alot of unique designers and dresses there. There's everything from antique looking, to very modern , to just plain classic and elegant. They are very patient throughout the whole process and called me if there was anything that changed with my dress. It took about 4 months to come in, but I had lots of time so I wasn't in a hurry. And the alterations they did were fantastic and quick and my dress fit perfect!! It is a wonderful place and compared to other places aI have been for bridemaid dresses, Kelly's service and quality is top notch!

Beautiful, friendly shop

Kelly's Closet is a beautiful little shop that is very welcoming and not intimidating. The staff are super nice and I found my beautiful dress that I wore on my wedding day here. Their alterations person is also very good and I was happy with how my dress came out.
Two slightly negative things: They did not ask me what my budget was the first time I was in the store so I ended up trying on a dress that was very over budget. It's partly my fault for forgetting to check, but bridal shops should always ask about budget. Additionally, they have a small selection of veils and the saleswoman didn't know anything about veils so it made that process very frustrating and stressful and I ended up getting my veil at another shop.
Overall, I would recommend Kelly's Closet if you have a good idea of what you are looking for because the staff is super nice and they have beautiful dresses.

Magical and memorable

I have been looking at this shop since I was 15 years old. Now I am getting married and they supplied my veil and accessories. They were super professional from start to finish. Accommodated my bridal party and made the whole experience very magical.

I searched for my wedding dress high and low in New York (where I currently live) and did not have any luck. A friend suggested Kelly's Closet and I went when I was visiting home in Atlanta and it was a game changer. The trunk show had arrived EARLY and there just happened to be my perfect dress for me. Not only did they have an amazing assortment that was right up my alley and price-point but they were so relaxed and easy to work with. I had to rush as I did not have much time before my wedding but they did not make me feel any panic. I even came back for my fitting and found my rehearsal dinner dress there. It was a one stop shop for me and I loved every minute. Oh and the alterations woman is wonderful too. Yay Kelly's Closet, can't wait to come back with my next engaged friend! XO, Christy

A friend had recommended Kelly's Closet to me and I had nearly passed on it due to assuming all the dresses would be out of my budget range. I'm now immensely glad I gave Kelly's Closet a shot as Yelp reviews convinced me that this was the friendliest bridal shop in town. Laura was my stylist and she made the process feel like working with a close friend to find your wedding dress. There was no pressure or up-selling. The dresses were all gorgeous, perfect especially if you're looking for something more unique than the more common sweetheart/trumpet/mermaid styles (though they have those, too). I was lucky to have gone during a sample sale and got a Jenny Packham dress for a great price. I found my dress at Kelly's and it was the first shop I went to. Would highly recommend.

I could not recommend Kelly's Closet more! Laura was amazing and the experience was so much better than Bridals by Lori or Joan Pillow. I loved my Liancarlo dress-- it was exactly what I wanted. The alterations process is also very easy and my dress fit perfectly!

I think every bride who wants an original dress must go to Kelly's Closet. Not only is the staff great, the place is so cute. It's not big, it's a boutique, which was perfect for me. I never felt pressured either. This was the first place I went, but wanted to shop around before I made my final decision. I was back in a month, and got the most beautiful, Jenny Packham dress. She has designers no one else in town carries. Modern vintage, couture, and hollywood styles. If you go here, you will have a one of a kind dress, and a one of a kind experience.

I specifically went to Kelly's Closet because they carry Claire Pettibone. I worked with Meredith. She was very proficient and helpful and I found the perfect dress here. I was there for the Claire Pettibone Trunk Show so I received a discount on my dress, which was even better! I loved, loved, loved my dress and receiving it on-time and perfectly tailored made the experience seemless and stress-less! I received so many compliments on my dress. I was glad everyone seemed to love it as much as I did. It was perfect for me and my setting.

This place was incredible! Loved every minute of choosing my dress. The girls were so helpful and were willing to be very flexible with my schedule for fittings since I lived 2 hours away. The shop is just completely adorable! I absolutely love my dress, but I was surprised at the way it starting to unravel and rip some by the end of the night, I'm sure that's normal with lace dresses, but I wasn't expecting that from a dress with the price tag that mine had. All in all it was a great experience!

Kelly's closet is the first place I knew I wanted to go to for my wedding dress. I called for a same-day appointment, they were not open yet so I left a message. At exactly 10:05am I received a call back and was able to have my appointment that very morning. The associate understood my budget and timeline (only 6 weeks!) and once we decided on "the" dress, she immediately called the designer to see if it could be done. I was beyond thrilled when the designer agreed to the rush timing with no additional charges!

My dress came in before the promised time and Kelly's closet scheduled me for an immediate fitting (that very evening). The seamstress is amazing. I can't say that enough! She took this dress and made it into a dress FOR me. I was a little shocked by the alterations cost, but once I had the final fitting, I realized it was so worth it.

The great thing about Kelly's closet is the variety of designers they offer and their willingness to get me into my dream dress is 6 weeks. Thank you!!

Kelly's Closet was a pleasure to work with. They clearly know what they are doing and how to advise brides who are purchasing likely the most expensive dress of their lives. While their selection may be smaller than other bridal salons in Atlanta, if you are looking for a soft romantic dress, this is your place (no white satin ballgowns here). My only compliant is parking can be tough, but other than that, I would gladly recommend any bride check out Kelly's. You may not find "the" dress there, but you will enjoy your experience.

After a rocky start with one of the bridal consultants at Kelly's Closet, Kelly committed to working with me directly. She listened, provided solid suggestions, and went above and beyond to ensure I got my dream wedding dress.

The feel of this shop is not the same as the large, impersonal, mass-produced dress stores. It's small, intimate, and comfortable. The staff is attentive, patient, and communicative. In addition, Kelly's Closet carries a number of designers that aren't available anywhere else in the southeast, much less Atlanta.

For a comfortable dress-buying experience, get your dress at Kelly's Closet.

Kelly's Closet was the only bridal boutique I visited. I fell in love with the store immediately and the staff was so incredibly friendly! Kelly really does treat every bride as a new and unique friend and it makes for the most wonderful shopping experience. I agree about the dresses being pricey, but it was completely worth it for my gorgeous Jenny Lee dress! We had a small hiccup as well with the timing of my dress coming in, but I was on a short time frame and they were very accommodating with that! Love, love, love the Closet!

I visited several other bridal stores in Atlanta before I came to Kelly's Closet and the difference was truly amazing. Kelly's is a fabulous experience that every bride in Georgia should experience. You are treated like a true princess without any of the snootiness you can find at some of the other stores. Kelly herself is absolutely wonderful... I felt like I had made a new best friend after I met her! She really listens to what you like, what you don't like, what your wedding is about....and works hard to find THE dress for you.

She suggested a dress for me that on the rack I really did not like...it had a lace bodice and I HATE lace, but she really wanted me to try it. And wouldn't you know it...it was perfect and I fell in love. Kelly also had the neckline re-designed for me at no extra charge, making it truly my dream dress; in addition, she helped design a custom veil for me that is stunning. I cannot say enough how wonderful my experience was at Kelly's Closet and I have taken all of my friends back as they get engaged and begin their own search for the Perfect Dress. Thank you Kelly!

Loved it! Great staff!

I love this store and the staff. I would say the whole process really depends on the dress you choose. My dress was nothing fitting after multiple alterations and they worked with me down to the wire to get it to fit almost perfectly.

I am so happy I found Kelly's Closet. I abhor shopping and trying on clothes, not to mention I don't really enjoy weddings and didn't want a traditional happy princess gown. Meredith helped me find a dress that suited my venue, style, and personality. After a few alterations, it fit like a glove and everyone commented on how lovely it was. I will definitely recommend Kelly's to any bride, especially one who is looking for a unique, personalized experience and not the over the top, Say Yes to the Dress one.

Had a blast finding the perfect dress (in just one visit)!

I found my wedding dress at Kelly's Closet, and couldn't be happier. They listened attentively to what I liked and wanted to try. It's a smaller shop, so it didn't feel overwhelming. But they also had a great selection of gowns, especially on the more bohemian and vintage-inspired side of things. In addition to letting me explore on my own, Susan pulled a few things I wouldn't have initially spotted (one of which ended up being the perfect dress for me). Not only that, it was a sample, so I was able to get a great deal. It was such a comfortable and fun experience. Plus, Angela (their head of alterations) was a delight in every way and transformed my already beautiful dress into something more amazing than I could have imagined. Would definitely recommend!

Kelly’s Closet is a great bridal stop. Kelly was wonderful—so kind, informative, and was willing to think outside of the box to help find me contenders in my price range! She also talked us through their alterations process and we could tell she takes great care throughout the entire wedding dress experience! My suggestion for anyone with a $2,500 budget or less is to stop in when there’s a trunk show for a designer in/near your price range. You’ll have a lot of options then.

So many people I know found their dresses at Kelly's Closet that I expected it to be the size of a warehouse. When I arrived at the "closet", I was surprised to find that it felt like I was playing in the closet of someone with really great taste. The shop is intimate and the girls there have such a great attitude about the whole experience. My friends Gabby, Anna and Eve patiently gave me feedback and support as I played dress-up. I ended up finding a dress that made me feel like myself. The dress-up part was fun but the finding the one that felt like it was made for me was even better.

Kelly was SO helpful in finding the perfect dress for me. She had great advice about styles that would work for me and was overall really fun to work with.

I also had my bridesmaids purchase their dresses at Kelly's Closet, which went generally well. There was a brief hiccup in that the style and color I originally selected was mistakenly listed and unavailable, but Kelly helped us find a great alternative.

There's no doubt that the dresses at Kelly's Closet are pricey (unless you can hit up a sample sale, which make for great deals)- mine was over $4,000.
However, the experience at the Closet is amazing. The folks there really emphasize that this should be a fun experience, and as such, they totally encourage you to enjoy yourself, feel good about yourself, and look for something that makes you really really happy. I felt no pressure to buy, and they happily let me try on a million dresses, come back several times to show various people the dress I was thinking about, and then after I purchased it, they still let me show up and try it on for more friends whenever I wanted. It's not the least bit snotty or stuffy, and they only take up to two or maybe three appointments at a time, so it's very personal and private. Kind of like having the best dress up box ever all to yourself. I ordered my dress, a custom wrap, some jewelry, and a veil from the Closet- when my veil came in, I decided I didn't like it as much as I thought I would, so at the last minute Kelly had it shortened and all the appliques resown on it, at no charge. They also have a really unique selection of dresses and designers that you can't find anywhere else.
Like I said, the only downside is the cost, but that said, the quality of my dress was awesome. I can't say enough good things about this place- they rock.

I bought my wedding dress at Kelly's closet. The gown was amazing and I loved working with their incredible seamstress Angela. However, the way that Kelly's closet scheduled alterations appointments without much cushion left me waiting for my appointment each time I came, once for an hour! They also had some trouble with my measurements and I had to come back for second measurements and then required custom work on my dress, which was fine but was not told to me upfront so it was an extra cost. Beautiful dresses!

Kelly's Closet is a cute little shop in the Candler Park area of Atlanta/Decatur. The appeal for the boutique is that Kelly only carries certain designers that she knows aren't easily found elsewhere in the area. (The next closest dress shop to carry my Lea Ann Belter dress was in Naples, FL.)

My initial experience at the Closet was wonderful. I had a wonderful and friendly sales associate, and I felt like I was being taken care of as an individual rather than just another customer. Unfortunately, halfway through the process, my associate left the store and I was assigned a new associate. It was clear the first time I met her at a fitting that she was very new and lacked experience. The wonderful seamstress stepped in and helped both of us picking out veils and of course determining alterations. Her work was amazing-by the last fitting my dress felt perfect.

I will say I was a little put-off by the fact that I was given a brand new consultant considering I had already purchased my dress. I was also bothered by the fact that my name was misspelled both on the bag of the dress and also on invoices sent in the mail to me.
And on the wedding day-despite the seemingly excellent alterations-the snaps used to bustle my dress completely fell apart after being stepped on once, and by the end of the night one button (there were decorative buttons to cover the zipper) was missing while two others had lost their satin caps. Needless to say, I was frustrated that my $3700 dress should fall apart like that.

My initial experience at the Closet was great-but at the end of it I will say I was really displeased.

Kelly's is a great little shop with unique and beautiful items.
I found and tried on the perfect veil at the shop.
Unfortunately, it took 6 weeks for the veil to arrive. It arrived only 5 days before the wedding and the wrong veil was shipped from the designer. I accepted the veil because I had no options (not enough time).
The veil was beautiful. I had to change my hairstyle to accommodate it but all worked out.

My advice is shop early so you have time to fix it if something goes wrong. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the shop and they have unique and amazing items there.
