My husband and I hired Kelly right when we got engaged and had her with us the whole way. This was especially great because we moved far away during our wedding planning. Knowing she could continue things and take the reins when my brain was consumed with packing tape and boxes was a huge relief. Even if you don’t have her for the full package, even just a few weeks out or day of will truly give you peace of mind and let you enjoy your family.
Here are things Kelly is amazing at: finding a venue that meets your style and guest count; making you feel like you are the ONLY client; helping you come up with a decor plan that meets your budget and level of effort (For instance, I was not super into decor so I was really happy to have someone suggest items here and there I wouldn’t have thought about. If you love decorating, she does too, and I foresee you both having a decorating jam session); coming up with a layout for the tables; making the schedule for the day (Who the heck knows when to have speeches and have first dance? Kelly. She does. And she'll confirm all this with your vendors, HOORAY!); and recommending vendors (Do you know how many hours you can spend online going down research rabbit holes? Stop that. Put it down. Let Kelly help.).
Unfortunately it looked really rainy for our outdoor wedding, and the day before I almost cried from stress. Then the day of my wedding I almost cried because of HOW BEAUTIFUL she had made everything around the on/off rain. I’m so glad I didn’t have a friend running the wedding and stressing over whether or not to put everything inside or outside and calling me about it. Instead, we were able to walk in all dressed up and ready to party.
I could write pages about how much I loved working with Kelly. She will answer all of your calls and emails as if you are the only bride. She’ll remove your stress. And she’ll talk to you like a friend; she’ll adjust your wedding vision as you do, and will never push recommendations that are outside of what you want. Schedule a meeting today! You will be so glad!!

We had great resources to help us in the planning (we chose the day of service) and then when it came time to the fine details I cannot emphasize enough how much they helped! Vanessa was our main coordinator and literally saved the day because so many things went wrong with the venue that I can’t imagine my day without her. You NEED to hire them!! -

We cannot recommend Kelly Kennedy Weddings and Events enough! Vanessa was our lead wedding planner, and working with her and Kelly was worth every penny.
Since our wedding was a destination wedding, it was incredibly helpful to have a planning team who was so knowledgeable about the area and local vendors. We did the partial planning package and their planning process was so seamless and extremely organized. I always felt informed and knew exactly what was happening every step of the way, which made the entire experience so much less stressful. Vanessa was also always available to answer questions or talk through any idea I had, which made me feel so supported throughout the entire planning process. Because of their recommendations, we had a top tier vendor team who was so easy to work with and adapted quickly to all the last-minute changes on the wedding day due to weather.
When it came to the design aspect, Kelly and Vanessa truly helped bring my vision to life. They guided us through the design elements and made everything come together beautifully in a way we honestly could not have done on our own. We are also beyond thankful for all the work they put in during the days leading up to the wedding to make sure every detail was handled.
Unfortunately, our outdoor wedding was met with some wild weather (extreme winds, freezing temps, rain), and Vanessa truly went above and beyond. She worked tirelessly to secure tents and heaters and handled so many last-minute changes and pivots without ever making us feel panicked. She handled so much behind the scenes with such calm and grace. Because of her, we were still able to enjoy our day and focus on what mattered most.
There really are no words to describe how grateful we are to have had a wedding planner like Vanessa. If you are considering hiring Kelly Kennedy Weddings and Events, DO IT! They are professional, organized, and genuinely care about making your wedding day perfect. -

Vanessa Mauricio with Kelly Kennedy Weddings & Events is truly amazing! She is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and has the perfect personality for a wedding coordinator — always calm, cool, and collected. Vanessa organized every single detail of our wedding day down to the minute, which allowed us to completely relax and enjoy every moment leading up to and during our wedding.
She began working with us about a month before our big day, and once she came on board, she took the reins with every one of our vendors to make sure everything went off without a hitch. She and her assistant even took care of all of our wedding décor — from unpacking our boxes and beautifully decorating the venue to packing everything up again at the end of the night.
Vanessa also greeted guests, guided them between our rooftop ceremony and 3rd-floor ballroom reception, and made sure every part of the evening flowed seamlessly. There wasn’t a single detail she didn’t oversee or execute perfectly. I honestly can’t imagine what our wedding would have been like without her. She made everything work with such ease, professionalism, sincerity, and kindness. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone getting married in the area — she’s the best! -

Kelly and Vanessa made a fantastic wedding team for us. We opted for a quick engagement period and they were able to pull together a stunning wedding for us in just a few months. I could not imagine not having them for the wedding day itself where they organized and managed everything without a hitch. Also, their vendor networks and deep industry expertise allowed us to make quick decisions. They are just all around fantastic, awesome people so I'd highly recommend them any day! -

exceptional, personalized wedding planning experience!
We hired Kelly and her team in January to help plan our October wedding, and I can’t recommend them enough! Living overseas and planning a wedding back home in Sarasota could have been incredibly challenging, but Kelly made the entire process smooth and stress-free, making me feel like everything was under control even from halfway around the world. Kelly recommended fantastic vendors and seamlessly coordinated with some of the independent vendors I brought in. Working with her on the design and decor was a joy. As someone involved in arts, design, and events in Africa, I had some unique requests to incorporate, like hand-painted pottery vases and Rwandan baskets for a custom photobooth. Kelly embraced these requests with incredible creativity, fully understanding our vision and weaving together every detail to bring a stunning design to life. She was like a friend, mentor, and event maven all in one, supporting us every step of the way and making each detail feel perfectly tailored and meaningful.
Despite having a partial planning package, Kelly was always responsive, handled my many questions with patience, and never made me feel like I was asking too much. Her warmth and professionalism gave me complete peace of mind from afar. When a family member fell ill on the wedding day, causing unexpected delays, Kelly and her team managed everything with grace and professionalism, keeping us calm and making sure the ceremony still started on time. She was also flexible and incredibly cool when our family members added last-minute surprises, like a traditional dance and a personalized song, into the reception timeline. I can’t thank the KKWE team enough for bringing our wedding dreams to life and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an exceptional, personalized wedding planning experience! -

We had the pleasure of working with Kelly Kennedy Weddings and Events for our wedding in Sarasota at the Powel Crosley Estate, and it was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding process! We chose the Event Management package to provide flexibility with handling some of the planning ourselves but needed someone like Kelly to pull everything together seamlessly! From our very first video call, Kelly was incredibly organized and proactive. She kept us on track with regular emails and shared documents, making sure no detail was overlooked.
On the day of the wedding, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Kelly and her team took care of everything, and it was all set up perfectly without us lifting a finger. Our wedding day went flawlessly, and we could truly relax and enjoy every moment thanks to Kelly. Wedding of Our Dreams
We chose the Wedding Management package because we had figured out many of the big details, but we needed help bringing everything together. I cannot say enough good things about Kelly and her team! We started having virtual meetings about 6 weeks before the wedding and Kelly was always professional and prepared. The wedding timeline she created was an absolute lifesaver. Her team set up my decor day of and made sure everyone was where they should be when they were supposed to be. I can truly say I had a stress free wedding day. Couldn't have done it without them!
I do not think our wedding could have gone so seamlessly without the KKWE team! We contacted Kelly at the beginning of our planning journey (about 15 months prior to the wedding) and she got us right of track! Going with their partial planning package allowed me to maintain more design control while maintaining the guidance of their expertise. This really helped when it came to local vendors and rentals. Their knowledge and assistance really shined as we entered the last few months of planning and began looking at the full timeline of the day. The KKWE team executed our wedding vision seamlessly! Walking into our reception space the day of the wedding, having no idea how the setup was going, and hoping that it all came together was such a magical moment. It fit my vision perfectly and exceeding my expectations. I am so grateful for the hardwork of the KKWE team! -

KKWE are the best!
Kelly and her team were phenomenal! We chose Kelly Kennedy Weddings and Events to help us as we were planning a wedding from out of state. Planning a wedding is stressful and KKWE really made things smooth for us. They were professional, organized, punctual, informative, and accommodating. KKWE helped to keep our ideas aligned with our budget and they went the extra mile to make sure we were thoroughly satisfied with all of our decisions. The KKWE team has relationships with multiple different vendors / suppliers and helped provide us options for every decision that we needed to make. And if there were some things we were unsure of, Kelly kept pushing to find what we needed or reassured us that everything would execute to our liking. The day of the wedding Kelly and her team worked their butts off in the Florida wind and rain to make sure everything was perfect. KKWE transformed a beautiful venue that they found into the perfect ceremony and the most fun reception atmosphere for a killer party that everyone enjoyed. I couldn't imagine working with anyone else now that it is all over. In addition to the wonderful service that KKWE provided, Kelly was such a warm and caring person it felt like we were working with someone we had known for years. Oh my goodness I could write a book on how much we loved Kelly and her team! She made wedding planning a breeze. She is organized, positive, and focuses on her clients. Kelly came highly recommended by one of our vendors and I could not be happier that she was our wedding planner. I chose the partial planning wedding package because I knew I wanted to be involved in the planning process, however, it was important to me not to be stressed on the wedding day as well. Kelly was extremely responsive and after the first month of knowing her, it was like she was one of my friends! Not only was Kelly extremely responsive to my texts/e-mails, she really helped ease my anxiety when I would get stressed out about the planning process. Kelly also was amazing with helping to guide me with which vendors to choose. On the day of my wedding, she made sure to make my vision come true! My wedding was everything I could have ever wanted and MORE! She and her team made our wedding day absolutely seamless and stress-free! She was in contact with all of my vendors, made sure they were there on time, and answered any questions they had regarding the venue. Kelly was always communicating with me, my husband, and our families throughout the wedding day and made sure everything was running on time. Afterwards, Kelly and her team made sure all of our wedding day items that we had brought were packed safely into our car! I highly highly recommend Kelly to plan her wedding. I will save you the trouble of lots of research, agonizing and interviewing wedding planners that I did, Kelly Kennedy should be your ultimate decision. Kelly and her team are down to earth personable and dang good at what they do. I hired Kelly for full service planning and did not look back. As a young attorney very busy with work, Kelly saved me hundreds of hours of planning and decision making, coordinated with vendors, and made my dream wedding come to life. She is honest, straight-forward and is there to make sure the couple has an amazing experience. Clayton and I cannot thank the KKWE Team enough for their kindness and professionalism. They roll with the punches and kept me on track. At the end of the day your wedding planner should be someone you want to hang out with in your day to day life and Kelly is that person who you could invite over for a pool day BBQ and have the best time. Wedding day was a complete wonderful blur to me because the KKWE team was behind the scenes putting out fires (I to this day don't know about) and making sure everything went out without a hitch. There's no question you need a wedding planner for your wedding and Kelly Kennedy should be your choice without any hesitation. Words cannot express how grateful Logan and I are for everything Kelly, Leah and the KKW team did to make our wedding day perfect. Kelly’s attention to detail, creativity, and overall expertise were truly incredible.
From the moment we met Kelly, we knew we were in good hands. Her calm and confident demeanor immediately put us at ease, and we knew that we could trust her to take care of every detail. Throughout the planning process, Kelly and her team were always available to answer questions, offer advice, and provide guidance. Kelly listened carefully to our ideas and vision, and then worked tirelessly to turn them into reality, and let me tell you the real thing was better than we had ever dreamt of.
On the day of our wedding, everything was absolutely flawless. The decorations were stunning, the food was delicious, and the music was perfect. Kelly was our partial planner for our 12/10/2022 wedding and she and Leah from KKWE made our big day absolutely perfect. From the moment we hired Kelly and her team, they made sure to help us from the beginning. As someone who was NOT excited about planning a wedding, it was wonderful to have someone who WAS excited on our side. In retrospect, we probably would have hired her as a full time planner if we had to do it all over again!!!! I hired Kelly for day of coordination, her Wedding Management package. She FAR exceeded my expectations. She was the most helpful person hands down that I dealt with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Kelly is kind, organized, creative, and easy to work with. Anytime an issue arose, I didn't even stress about it or give it a second thought because I knew Kelly had my back! The things that would've been stressful on a wedding day were completely forgotten with Kelly at the helm. She dealt with a planning meeting with my 6 year old child in attendance who was home sick from school, family members who were sitting in the middle of her reception set up when they were supposed to be at cocktail hour, bugs on the cake frosting at the reception, and a thousands questions from us throughout the process without ever blinking an eye. Hiring Kelly is THE smartest decision you will make for your wedding! Waking up on my wedding morning and knowing that Kelly would take care of everything for us gave me the greatest wedding gift that I could've received, a sense of peace and calm that carried throughout the entire day. -

Kelly is everything you need: detail oriented, professional, timely, organized, courteous, understanding; and on top of that is also kind, funny, and an absolute treasure to work with. I cannot recommend her enough. She made my wedding (and obviously more importantly my mothers dream wedding….) come to life! It was truly spectacular. We are so thankful we hired Kelly to coordinate my daughter’s wedding. Her experience and professionalism guided us when it was time to make important decisions. I could start to breathe when her service kicked in knowing she had all the details under control. Her communication was EXCELLENT and I appreciated the detailed timeline she provided. She helped me think of details I hadn’t thought of. But the day of is when her expertise truly came through. Working with Kelly and Anna was 100% the best decision we could have made during our planning process. Anna was our lead planner and she was absolutely amazing. She is the perfect combination of sweet and bad ass. She was so quick to respond to all of my questions or concerns and even helped us reschedule all of our vendors as we had to post-pone our original date. She had our entire timeline planned out to the minute and made sure our entire wedding day ran smoothly.

Kelly Kennedy was easily the BEST hire among our entire team of incredible wedding vendors.
First of all, her package as a month-of coordinator is an absolute steal for the invaluable guidance and expertise she provides. I am an avid planner by nature, so I prided myself on planning a majority of our wedding, but Kelly was there every step of the way when I had big or small questions. Not to mention, she is an absolute joy to work with; and she was so kind putting up with my OCD and control-freak ways :)
Secondly, when I say she shouldered the entire burden of stress on our wedding day, it's no exaggeration. There was an actual tornado 6 miles away right after our ceremony ended, and she made sure I was last to know (and freak out) about the weather's impending doom all day. She re-arranged the entire venue floorplan so that everyone would be comfortably under overhangs during the rain storm that began during what would have been cocktail hour; she coordinated with our caterer to serve dinner an entire HOUR early; and she had to adjust the timeline completely on the fly for first dance, etc. In the end, it helped make our day more enjoyable in the moment and I would not change a thing. But the only glue that kept the day (and me!) from completely unravelling was Kelly Kennedy.
She is simultaneously a ray of sunshine and a bad ass. She truly saved the day and made it the best day of my husband and I's life -- and so many of our guests have told us it's the best wedding they've ever been to! All of that is a credit to Kelly, and we could not be more thankful for her guidance throughout the entire wedding planning process and her leadership the day of the wedding.

I don't know how I would have planned my dream wedding with out Kelly by my side! She made everything stress-free and painless. She was there through every step of the process from color scheme, decor, seating chart, vendor choices, etc. She conduced the entire rehearsal, set up and took down the entire event and didn't leave the wedding until after I did to make sure it was all together. Kelly communicated with vendors when I had any issues or questions and was there for me when I felt overwhelmed. She is truly great and I cannot say thank you enough for everything she did. I got married on 2/21/21 in Sarasota and me and my husband are from Chicago. Not only were we planning an out-of-state wedding, we also got married in less than 5 months from engagement. But neither of these factors were a problem for Kelly & Anna!
I decided to go with the Design Consultation + Partial Planning package because I knew I wanted some assistance in the design and being able to execute my vision. That package was the perfect combination and SO worth the value. But at the VERY least, I realized a day-of planner is a MUST, and especially one from KKWE. Anna was my day-of planner and the one I worked closest with. In the months leading up to the wedding, we constantly emailed/texted/called back and forth to straighten out every possible detail of the day. She knew who was supposed to go where at what time, where each decoration should go, where the decorations need to go after the wedding, and all the other miscellaneous details. She thought of so many details that I never would've thought of on my own and always had an answer to my questions or would do whatever it would take to get an answer/solution. She would always respond the same day and she even let me send her any decorations since I was living out of state. When I got down to Florida for the wedding, she graciously met up with me to hand off more decorations. She also offered to pick up a few of my rental items from other vendors to avoid a delivery fee for me. When my rose petals were delayed in shipping because of a winter storm and we found out two days before the wedding, she somehow coordinated with another flower company to secure them just the day before our day. She truly went above and beyond what was expected. She was so kind and personable, but she was also was a leader and got things done, which is exactly what you need in a wedding planner. I truly can't imagine not having Anna - it would've been a mess and so stressful! Not having to worry about a thing on my wedding day was the absolute best thing. She was the first one there and the last one to leave. Me, my parents, the bridal party, all the guests got to just enjoy the day and didn't have to worry about setting up, taking down, cleaning up, coordinating, etc. That's the best thing we could've asked for!
Even though I worked the most with Anna, I got to work a decent amount with Kelly and she too was amazing!! At the beginning of the process I met with both Anna and Kelly to discuss exactly what I was envisioning. She would email me to check-in and facilitate certain details and she stopped by on the wedding day to make sure everything was going great (which of course it was :)). I cannot say enough good things about both of them!
When we got to our wedding day, it truly was everything and more. It looked exactly as I would've envisioned and it played out perfectly, and I have Anna & Kelly to thank for that! The few hiccups that happened Anna quickly and nonchalantly resolved.
When looking for a planner, I wanted someone affordable but of great quality. This is exactly what I got ( and so much more than that!!) with using KKWE. They truly went above and beyond and are the reason my wedding turned out to be just as I had always imagined! You will not regret using them!!! -

Without any hesitation we would recommend Kelly Kennedy. She was absolutely the sweetest, most organized, most professional individual we could have ever chosen. Organized and passionate
Kelly and her assistant Anna were able to provide my husband and I with the best backyard I could have ever dreamed of. She was easy to contact and great at keeping my nerves down with her amazing organization and vision boards. Even with the pandemic, she was able to keep everyone on the same page and was able to clear any of my worries as we got close. She has such a caring and understanding heart and truly is determined to giving her brides the wedding of their dreams. I wouldn’t of wanted anyone else to be guiding us through this process. A Phenomenal Event Planner

Outside of our marriage itself Kelley, was the most amazing part of our day. Her ability to take two people with the most general of ideas of how we wanted our big day to look and turn it into a beautiful day of vision and detail was incredible. The effort and work she puts in leading up to and on the day of is unbelievable; not to mention we were not her only clients of the month. There are endless wonderful things that I can say about Kelly and her team; However, I think this description speaks the truth.
When I woke up the day of our wedding, I wasn't nervous or worried about anything. When we arrived at the venue and I waked around to look at all the detail and specificities I had requested, they were all there and everything was perfect. As I walked down the aisle, I felt like all I had to do was look at my soon-to-be husband and follow her cues, of course while I was balling my eyes out.
I remember every single tiny detail and when I woke up the next morning, I was able to close my eyes and replay it, step by step.
Our wedding was PERFECT and exactly what I have dreamt for my entire life.

I can’t say enough about our wedding coordinator, Kelly Kennedy! She quietly worked behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. The attention to detail was beyond impressive and we were able to enjoy every moment of the wedding. From dealing with all the vendors to making sure everyone got a sparkler for the send off. WOW! Kelly Kennedy is the real deal. We were truly blown away by what she was able to pull off. Throughout our engagement, Kelly was timely, friendly, patient, and professional. We threw her multiple curve balls, changing our minds about the details, and she never missed a thing! (Not to mention, my wedding was a few days after Christmas and Kelly had back to back to back weddings during the month of December!)
When the wedding day came, Kelly was who I relied on the most. She handled family members' questions (there were a lot), she communicated with all of my vendors, making sure what we wanted was reflected throughout the night, she set up tables and decorations, she made sure my champagne glass was full all night, and so much more! I remember walking in to our venue (minutes before walking down the aisle) and the first thing I saw was a beautiful homemade sign, welcoming guests to the wedding. It was a sign that I could tell someone had spent much time and resources on. Kelly made that sign because she noticed we would need one there- nobody asked her to do it. I was touched by that detail and every detail throughout the night.

Wedding Planner Perfection
Words that immediatly come to mind: Wow. Perfect. Exceptional. Experienced (and so much more). My Husband and I interfered about 6 wedding planners and we selected Kelly to be our wedding planner about a year before our wedding and used the 'Full Service' package. Kelly was very very easy to work with, very responsive, very detailed and thorough. We had several in person meetings prior to the wedding and countless emails. I'm an indecisive perfectionist who didn't have a concrete vision for the wedding. I had a budget, which Kelly always budget checked me and I knew a few things I liked & didn't like so Kelly helped us fill in the massive holes by asking questions and getting to know us. She created a wonderful vision board & timeline that was executed to make the MOST PERFECT day. I cried...a lot just when I did a walk through. I can't think of one thing that I didn't think was perfect. Everything was beyond what I had envisioned and it's because Kelly & her team went above and beyond before the wedding and the day of. Kelly was referred by a close friend who had hired her and was enjoying her planning experience. My fiancé and I met with Kelly and decided to hire her for “day of” services, which we were pleasantly surprised to learn this meant meeting several times to walk through the wedding in detail, taking over vendor relationships one month out, and picking up all of our personal items for the wedding a few days early and setting them up the day of the event. Kelly’s pricing is reasonable (we had consultations with a few other local planners that were outrageous and only included day of event services).
The moment you meet Kelly, you can feel the excitement and passion she has for making your special day perfect. She genuinely cares about the details, and brought our attention to several things we hadn’t even thought about across the planning process. She even connected us with vendors for linen and chargers. The week of the wedding, we felt calm and confident that everything was taken care of and our vendors had a solid plan for the wedding day. Our wedding had a romantic, minimalist theme, and we chose to use our own centerpieces, candles, and other small decor touches at the ceremony and reception. Everything was coordinated and set up perfectly. Each time we walked into a space we had not yet seen, we were so impressed and honestly it looked better than we had imagined. We even chose to move greenery and decor from the ceremony to the reception and Kelly and her assistant helped coordinate and executed this during the cocktail hour. The event was smooth and the timing of the speeches, dinner, dancing, cake, and exit at reception worked out great. After the event ended, there was a little confusion about who was taking items back to our car (my father in law and bridesmaids ended up doing this and thankfully everything made it back safely). But overall, I would definitely recommend Kelly. Also, her assistant Anna was awesome! -
