Kelsey was the best!
Kelsey helped us with partial planning services for our May 2026 wedding in Middleburg Virginia. My wife and I booked our venue and vendors but Kelsey was an all-star in the months leading up to the event, gathering all the contracts, insurance and making sure everyone was on the same page. Our venue had very specific deadlines and requirements that we would have totally missed if it wasn't for Kelsey. She worked with us to create a wedding timeline that ensured photos, speeches, dances all happened in flow that felt natural while adhering to strict time constraints. During the weekend Kelsey was fun and approachable with the wedding party, guests and vendors making sure everyone was where they needed to be while also keeping a light mood. We got compliments from vendors and family saying how easy it was to work with Kelsey. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding and it was due in large part to Kelsey's work and dedication. -

Lois was Fantastic!
We had the very good luck to have Lois Gaul as our wedding coordinator for the final three months of our planning process. Lois is incredibly warm, hard-working, and available - she was always accessible in the time leading up to our wedding and was an absolute rock star on the day of making sure everyone was where they needed to be and - if anything did go wrong - we never heard about it. We had such a fantastic time and owe so much of that to Lois. We would very highly recommend you work with her for your own wedding. You won't be sorry. -

Stop looking and hire Kelley Cannon. Now.
Kelley is an absolute professional who knows weddings top to bottom. I cannot count the ways that Kelley improved our wedding and, in several circumstances, saved it from complete disaster. Because of some unforeseen circumstances, my husband and I had to throw our wedding in just three (3!) weeks. Kelley immediately jumped in and started helping, and I simply could not have pulled it off without her. She is organized, experienced, and always on the ball. She had my back throughout the wedding day, from helping to bustle the dress to sending over food during the cocktail hour to ensure my husband and I ate. I would do it over just to work with her again! I promise, your search for a wedding coordinator is over with Kelley! -

Wouldn’t get married without them!
Our wedding day went off without a hitch thanks to Kelsey - there is no way we could have done it without her. We really valued her guidance and expertise, which helped us make the most of the day. And best of all, we were able to truly enjoy our wedding day because we knew everything was taken care of. 10/10 - would highly recommend! -

BEST wedding planner
We had the pleasure of working with Kelley for 2 years because we postponed our wedding, and honestly we felt so sad when our wedding was over, to not have her in our lives on the regular anymore. Kelley takes the very daunting task of wedding planning and makes it so seamless and easy. She covered EVERY detail and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Our wedding was perfect and that was all due to Kelley's hard work and dedication to making sure we got everything we wanted. -

A Key Ingredient to a Successful Wedding

Kelley made it all happen...even during a pandemic!
Kelley and her team were amazing to work with from start to finish. The level of time and attention she put into making sure our day was exactly what we wanted was extraordinary--she went above and beyond in every way. We hired Kelley for the "wedding coordination" package for an April wedding; Kelley and her associate Jess began working with us in January and met with us in February to go through our wedding weekend itinerary, which was extremely thorough and took all the guess work out of the day (i.e. what time did hair and makeup need to start, when did family need to show up for photos, how much time did we need for speeches, etc).
When our wedding was disrupted because of the pandemic, Kelley helped us coordinate with our venue and other vendors to put things on hold, and she stayed in touch with us after our original wedding date came and went. We made the decision to go ahead with our wedding plans in a scaled down, socially-distant way, and wanted to move quickly. Kelley helped us pull off our second wedding date in about a month--we could not have done it without her. All weddings have the potential to hit snags, but this was especially true as we navigated the city's new regulations, nervous guests, and our own short timeline to pull this off. Kelley anticipated a lot of these issues, helped us think through options, and ultimately simplified the process for us. When she realized she and her associates had a conflict with the weekend we had chosen, she sub-contracted through another wedding planner - a competitor, no less - who stepped in seamlessly. Kelley remained in constant contact with us in the lead up to the wedding, handling all of the finals details and logistics that came up (i.e. we needed a cake stand, ceremony outline, arrival/departure schedules for the vendors, our hotel room at our venue), and making sure the other wedding planner had everything she needed for our day. On our wedding day, her work allowed us to focus on the important thing: getting married. We had an amazing day; not once did we have to think about the logistics of the day or getting people organized because Kelley and her team handled everything. We cannot thank her enough for everything she did for us, and we would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a professional, thorough, warm, and thoughtful experience with someone who clearly knows what she is doing. Thank you, Kelley!! -

Amazing Work!
Kelley Cannon pulled together a fabulous event for our Cathedral wedding and backyard reception in under 5 months. She orchestrated a highly personalized event despite the compressed timeline, a tight budget for the scale, and the added complexity of a home event -- a testament to her organization, diligence, and creativity. Many planners can provide timelines and negotiate vendors, but Kelley’s personality and personalization set her apart. She was a pleasure to work with, friendly and refreshingly candid. Her perceptiveness and sensitive navigation of family dynamics, budget discussions, and stylistic differences were critical to the process and would be difficult to match. She went to great lengths to make sure the event reflected our personalities and style—even if it involved unusual requests or seeking additional vendors. As much as we had our own vision for the event, we relied on her expertise to make it a reality. Perhaps the truest test of a planner is how they respond when their plan encounters a challenge. Day-of Kelley and her team deftly handled a range of issues: an un-forecast thunderstorm materializing moments before the outdoor reception; electrical problems; an ill guest … any one of these could have disrupted the event but Kelley and her team’s quick-thinking, initiative, and hard work behind the scenes meant our experience and that of our guests was completely seamless. Her constellation of vendors was amazing. I was impressed by the talent they brought to bear and their dedication to making our event a success. I couldn’t recommend Kelley or her company more highly! -

The Best Money We’ve Ever Spent
Kelley Cannon is amazing. She is hands-down the best money we spent on our wedding. She haggled on our behalf to get vendors to lower their prices, took care of all the details when we needed to reschedule our date, and helped us along every single step of the planning & execution. Every time someone would ask me about a detail of the wedding, I’d begin with, “Our planner, Kelley, she’s amazing...” Despite juggling multiple weddings she always made us feel like we were her only clients. I cannot recommend her more; do yourself a favor and hire Kelley. -

We don’t live in the DC area, so Kelley was able to step in and coordinate a lot of last minutes items for us. She was awesome the day of the wedding handling every last detail of the event. Best Wedding Planner!
Kelley was the most amazing wedding planner. We met her and instantly clicked with her bubbly personality and attention to detail! We walked her through our vision of a wedding - long kings tables, dark moody colors, and a candlelight procession (in February). She nailed it - it couldn't have been better. She made sure our guests were well fed, danced their socks off, and had so much fun. I can't recommend her highly enough and I welcome the chance to provide any details on ALL the things she did for us! Truly the best! -

We are so glad that we found Kelley! We knew right away that we wanted to work with her. We had trouble deciding on a package that was right for us, so she helped us come up with a custom package.
She was super helpful in narrowing down all our design ideas. She is extremely patient and understands how to communicate with people. She has the right amount of creativity without being cheesy or showy, and she understands the industry well. When we started having issues communicating with our venue’s coordinator, Kelley really stepped up to bridge the gap. Everything on the wedding day ran smoothly and we didn’t have to deal with anything. Go with Kelley Cannon, she is the best!!

Dupont Wedding during DC Pride Parade
When we realized that our wedding fell at the same time and location as the DC Pride Parade, we knew that an experienced set of eyes and hands would be incredibly helpful in the weeks leading up to our big day (and especially on the day of). The last thing we wanted was to be stressed about vendor logistics on our wedding day.
We opted to hire Kelly Cannon Events for partial planning services, and it was worth every penny. Kirsten Corrigan was a delight to work with; she had such a nice way about handling vendors, family, and a persnickety priest. There is nothing I find more reassuring -- in life generally, but especially in the throws of wedding mayhem -- than someone who exudes competence and calm. Kristen not only had those qualities, but she was organized, detail-oriented, and fun. My husband said "she was unflappable, and made sure our families and friends where in the right place at the right time."
Importantly, we felt that she was our advocate and had our best interests in mind. Just one example -- she convinced our reception vendor to allow our vendors to arrive and set up earlier than they otherwise would have been inclined, which was important given the chaos of people and road closures that is Dupont Circle during the Pride Parade. With Kristen's help planning, our wedding ran EARLY the whole day. That's wild.
More to the point: you won't regret hiring Kristen. :)-

NYE Wedding
Kelley Cannon is amazing! We got the partial planning package, and she went above and beyond anything we could’ve expected from her. She took what started out as a few pictures, and conversations and turned it into one of the most unique and beautiful weddings I’ve ever seen. She always strives to find the best vendors within your budget and is great at thinking outside of the box to help conceptualize your vision. She was extremely organized, and responsive, but most importantly a blast to work with. We are utterly grateful for everything she did to help make our wedding the most amazing day ever. -

Lois and Kelley made our special day seamless
If you're a busy bride who A) mostly has your stuff together but B) know you'll need a hand with all the details leading up to the big day, KCE's wedding coordination services are perfect for you.
Lois Gaul was our coordinator--she was an absolute delight to work with and essential in making our day seamless. Lois was thoughtful, communicative, and organized. She was also super responsive to our desires as we created a timeline and worked through the details in the month or so leading up to our wedding. She went with our ideas when they made sense but gently pushed back when necessary, and was always respectful and professional.
On the day of, Lois bounced back and forth between the hotel where we were getting ready and our venue to make sure everything was on track while Kelley was at the venue while vendors got set up. Together, they ensured that everyone--from vendors, to family, to wedding party, to guests--knew where to be and when. They helped to transition our space from ceremony to reception and made sure that all our personal decorative items looked flawless. At the end of the night, they returned our gifts, cards, and personal belongings to the hotel. Thanks to Lois and Kelley, our day went off without a hitch and my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy every aspect of the wedding. Even my bridal party, mom, and MIL kept commenting how efficient and helpful they both were.
Of all the decisions we made, hiring Lois and Kelley Cannon Events was easily the best one. Thank you, thank you, thank you!-

Life-Saving on Wedding Day
Kristin Corrigan from Kelley Cannon Events was essential in making our wedding day flawless! She was amazing to work with and was on top of every little detail for the big day. She handles communication with all your vendors the week prior to the wedding so you can relax, and relaxation is key before your wedding. Kristin is professional and respectful to you, your bridal party, family, and vendors. I can't say enough wonderful things about her and Kelley Cannon Events. Because of her our wedding day was as smooth as can be and we partied the night away with no issues. I would recommend her and her team a million times to any future brides! -

I absolutely love Kristin Corrigan from Kelley Cannon Events!!! We hired her as our day-of coordinator as well as some additional design and pre-planning help. Kristin was so sweet, so easy to work with, super responsive, and creative. We first met with her about 6 months out. I had a lot scattered ideas that I had pulled together from pinterest, bridal magazines, etc. and she was able to help me turn it into one cohesive vision with some unique touches. She also created a customized to-do list for the coming months until she took over for that final month. The to-do lists you find online are nice, but they aren't customized to your wedding needs so this was so helpful and helped keep me on track. We met back up with her again about a month prior to the wedding. She was great taking over with the vendors, helping us on our walk-through, etc.
On that weekend of she was so amazingly helpful. She was so organized and on top of everything. I didn't have to worry about a thing the entire day. When my dress wouldn't bustle she came up with a fix, when a bridesmaid strap on her dress broke she was there with a safety pin. She knew I was panicking about the weather for our outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour and was so great helping me navigate that stress! She called me the day before to let me know there was a tent available that we could use for free in the gardens so we didn't have to get married in the indoor option that I hated. And on the day-of when it was time to make the call, she was so good about making sure I was comfortable with the call we were making. I was convinced we could still go without the tent but thanks to her advice the ceremony was under the tent and it poured!
I didn't work much with any of the other women that are part of the team, but if they're anything like Kristin you will be in great hands. I cannot recommend Kristin enough. Hiring her was the best investment we made for our wedding. -

Kelley Cannon Events came highly recommended. Kelley was integral to our special day and created a day that was beyond our most romantic and beautiful dreams. Numerous seasoned wedding attendees remarked that our special day was "THE most beautiful wedding." She provided detailed help with every stage of the wedding planning and day-of coordination. From planning that included vendor selection to venue visits to coordination meetings/calls, Kelley exceeded our every need and expectation. On the actual wedding day, while it was unexpectedly warm and we endured a pre-wedding shower, Kelley meticulously planned in such a way that the day was seamless and breathtakingly designed. Kelley made the wedding process pleasant and executed a elegantly stunning and festive day. We cannot endorse her and her team enough. -

Kelley is the BEST! We loved having her as our wedding planner she went above and beyond any of our expectations. We got the full planning package and it was worth every penny! Kelley helped us with venue selection, vendors, day of logistics and everything in between. I don't know how we would of put together this special day without her. I also really appreciated her laughter and fun in the whole process, Kelley takes her job extremely seriously but also is a ton of fun to work with! We were living abroad for part of the planning and Kelley was also so flexible and patient with the time difference, which we really appreciated. One of the best things about Kelley and her events team is that they strive for attention to detail and have great relationships with other wedding vendors! Picking vendors you quickly realize is overwhelming, but Kelley strives to find high quality vendors in your budget and helps narrow down the choices when you are picking. You are in great hands with Kelley and her team and I cannot recommend them enough for your wedding planner needs!-

We worked with Kristin Corrigan from Kelley Cannon Events and she was such a pleasure to work with! Kristin was extremely responsive to emails, always getting back to us within a day or two (or set expectations if she was going to be traveling.) She was extremely professional -- I trusted that she would be a great partner to the other vendors that we had hired and be able to pull everyone together successfully. I really appreciated her flexibility in the way she worked with us too. We hired her to be a month-of coordinator, but my mom was coming to visit DC from California ~2 months prior to our wedding and wanted to meet Kristin in person before the wedding day. Kristin sat down with us for an hour to meet in person while my mom was in town, helping to instill confidence in us. Kristin also provided really great advice as needed, but was in no way overbearing or over controlling. In particular, she provided some really great ideas for how to handle our decorations, since we were putting most of the decor items together ourselves. And the real value came in the day of the wedding. We completely trusted that Kristin would handle everything -- all the tiny details (and there were many) across the different stages of the day and the evening event. And this left us free to enjoy the time with friends and family and not have to worry about set up, take down, organizing anything, fixing small issues, etc. The entire event went off perfectly and stress-free! -

Kelley is AMAZING at what she does. From our first meeting, I knew we had found a great planner --- she has great taste, an extensive network of vendors, and the organizational skills and experience to make sure everything stays on track (even when we were planning a wedding in 4 months!). My husband and I really appreciated how much Kelley worked with us to create a unique, personal event that reflected our preferences and values, and helped us stay on budget. All of the vendors that Kelley connected us with exceeded our expectations. And the day of the wedding, Kelley and her team made sure every detail was in place and we had nothing to stress about. Kelley was absolutely amazing and I can't recommend her enough. We got married at my family's horse farm in Middleburg Virginia on September 16, 2017 and did a tent wedding and outdoor ceremony for 200 guests -- Kelley was so organized, detail oriented, and took care of everything so that we could rest easy and stress-free! We loved the team of vendors that Kelley recommended as well (catering, music, bathrooms, welcome boxes, tent rental, lighting, overall look and decor, officiant, transportation, rehearsal dinner + Sunday brunch planning, etc. etc. etc.!). Kelley and her team were super professional, fun and nice - and made the entire experience start to finish wonderful for us -- and so special. It was a dream wedding and honestly, I can't wait to plan the next event with Kelley!-

Kristen Puzzo of Kelley Cannon Events is an absolute pro and rockstar! Thanks to her I was able to be present and enjoy all the precious moments that made up the wedding day. She was extremely organized and worked with us (a couple with a huge bridal party and ambitious shot list for photos) to make our day look and feel how we wanted it. She took care of every detail we stayed on schedule! She even took our gifts and items back to my hotel for us so we could go out with our friends after the reception ended.
The team is very reasonably priced and worth more than every penny. You'll be so happy you worked with their team! -

We hired Kelley Cannon Events for our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made! Having a wedding is an investment and skimping on a wedding planner/coordinator shouldn't be overlooked. I needed someone to help me with the day-of timeline as well as directing where people should be/go the day of the wedding. We worked with Kristen Puzzo and couldn't have been happier. I could tell after first time I met with her that she was highly organized and efficient and was just what we needed. Our wedding day would have been chaotic had Kristen not been there! We couldn't have done it without her and she and her assistant did an amazing job! Trusting someone to handle your wedding is day huge, and this company did not disappoint!
We purchased the day-of-coordination package which was worth every penny. Kristen made recommendations to me for rental companies and helped answer wedding etiquette questions that we didn't know how to handle. She contacted all of my vendors and scheduled a walk through at our venue prior to our big day. She made my wedding day run so smoothly (we had no hick-ups whatsoever) and was able to ease my mind during this process. Knowing that my wedding was in Kristen's hands allowed me to relax (as much as any bride could!)

Minutes into my initial meeting with Kelley, I knew that she would do an amazing job every step of the way. She developed a gorgeous concept for our wedding and it was wonderful to see all of the beautiful design choices come into fruition. What was truly remarkable - was that the wedding was personal and reflected us as a couple! Kelley executed the vision flawlessly.
I had a completely stress-free wedding thanks to Kelley. She is responsive and very organized. Any time I had a question, it was answered quickly and thoroughly. Kelley was so pro-active throughout the planning process that I really felt at ease and able to enjoy my engagement. I didn't have to worry about all of the pieces falling into place - they were in Kelley's capable hands.
The day of our wedding, everything was magical. The whole evening ran smoothly and the details came together seamlessly. Our venue required us to make several flips of the same room. That's not an easy task in such a short period of time, but Kelley is a pro. There was nothing to worry about.
Having Kelley plan our wedding was the smartest wedding decision I made. Her experience and connections made it easy to throw a wedding which was both beautiful and fun. Our guests didn't want the party to end - and neither did we!
I cannot begin to thank Kelley enough for everything. I am so grateful that Kelley was a part of our wedding. We were able leave everything in her hands and spend time with our family and friends. I would recommend Kelley Cannon to anyone as the best investment they can make for their wedding.

I didn't think we could afford a Day of Coordinator, and I didn't think we needed one. However, we were running into some logistical problems with getting everything set up, so I decided to look into it.
Kristen was great from the beginning. She took the usual DOC package and trimmed it down to something I could afford. I had few vendors to coordinate and wasn't doing any dances, bouquet tosses, or anything like that. I did not meet Kristen until the rehearsal, but she was very responsive and easy to reach via email and phone.
When we were finalizing everything, she asked me so many questions I never would have thought of. During the rehearsal, my now husband (who didn't think we needed a coordinator) leaned over and said "Good call on hiring her!"
I have heard from several guests that our wedding went so smoothly and didn't have any hiccups like most weddings do - and that's all because of Kristen. Sure, the cake was late due to traffic and the guests got through the appetizers more quickly than anticipated, but no one had any idea because of how good a job Kristen did. -

Kelley Cannon is worth EVERY PENNY! She held our wedding together and made it all happen. It would not have been a magical night without her. Kristen is super sweet and funny and she did an amazing job! We hired her for day-of coordination, but KCE works more like a "month-of" planner. She made sure all of our vendors were in order, worked out our packed wedding timeline to the minute, conducted our rehearsal, and made sure our big day went off smoothly (and it went perfectly!). She even helped our officiant/friend with his entire speech for the ceremony and brought all of our stuff back to our hotel room afterward! We love Kelley Cannon Events and would give them ten stars if we could! Our guests are still raving about our DC wedding, and we know that we could not have pulled off such a memorable event without the help of Kelley and her team. After meeting with several DC wedding planners who were either way too far outside of our price range or felt we did not jive with personally, we were thrilled to sit down with Kelley. She is a gem of a human and incredibly talented. We were immediately at ease with her- she understood our vision and our budget and was already giving us creative suggestions before we even signed a contract. While we had already picked our venue and some of our vendors, all of them had worked with Kelley before and had the highest praise for her company.
We hired Kelley for partial planning services roughly one year prior to our wedding date and were treated as though we were the only wedding she was planning. Kelley kept us on-task by creating a monthly to-do list and always checked in with us on items that were her responsibility- recommendations, vendor proposals, appointments, etc. For the many more items that were our responsibility, she never made it feel like we asked too many questions or were asking too much of her- she was always quick to offer an opinion or advice when we were indecisive or unsure. Her insights and ability to recommend vendors that would deliver great quality within our price range were invaluable.
Having Kelley Cannon Events on our team in the last month, final week, and day-of the wedding was priceless. Kelley took over the reins, allowing us to enjoy the experience, as opposed to stressing out over all of the details, and we knew we were in good hands. We were able to enjoy our time with all of our relatives and friends that were visiting DC and experience our wedding day without having to manage logistics. By far, this was the best money we spent on our wedding and we could not give a higher recommendation -

Working with Kelley and her team was a wonderful experience. She was very responsive with emails, phone calls, and helped us plan the wedding we envisioned. She listened to our concerns, worked within our budget and was so open to questions and issues. We had a sort of "mini-destination" wedding and she traveled to all of the venues so we can get a feel of the location. She's great to work with for our wedding. With her knowledge in event planning and design, the wedding was a breeze and frustration free. I remember one thing she said in particular--it was along the lines of, "On the day of your wedding, there will be mistakes and issues but it's up to the event planner to make sure the bride doesn't know about it or worry about it." I cannot stress ENOUGH the important of having a coordinator for the day of your wedding! I did most of the planning myself throughout my engagement, and it was manageable but as the day got closer I knew there was no way I was going to get married without a day-of coordinator. Kelley was SO helpful. I mean she helped and guided with literally every detail of the day. She came to my house before my rehearsal dinner collected every single item that needed to be set up, and everything was absolutely perfect the next day - exactly how I had things pictured in my head. She even tracked down a couple Advil for me to take halfway through dinner when I got a headache. She was really awesome, and I was almost completely stress-free knowing she was on the forefront taking care of everything. My bridesmaids were even able to be stress-free! We worked with Lindsey as our planner and she was fantastic. She does a great job of responding to and handling bumps in the road and was able to help us get some better deals with our chosen vendors than we would have been able to secure on our own. She's a very pleasant person to work with and is great to have in your corner during contract negotiation. She clearly knows how to handle people very well, and has worked with many vendors before, so she already has good working relationships in place. The vendors we worked with all had nothing but compliments for Kelley Cannon and Lindsey in particular. They worked to not only impress us, but her as well, which is a tremendous help when you're working over the small details of a contract.
She'll get to know your style and tastes and will work to keep your vision of the day unified and on-course. The 'day-of' she was readily available and handled a couple of minor crises without involving us at all. I would highly recommend Kelley Cannon and Lindsey in particular to anyone who is going to need an event coordinated. I have recommended her to my friends, and I know my wife has as well. Kelley Cannon offers a fantastic value, very helpful spreadsheets and lists, and very professional staff. -

From the beginning Kelley was very responsive, patient, and easy to get along with, I was never overly stressed about anything relating to the wedding because she was very organized and I could always check our planning tool to make sure we were on track with everything. She would give us about three options for every vendor so we could compare and contrast to see which one fit in better with our budget and wedding ideas, All of the vendors we eventually chose and that she recommended were amazing!! She would usually respond to questions within a couple days, but would also let us set up last minute meetings if necessary. The day of the wedding everything went so smoothly and was perfectly seamless. Overall, we are very happy we went with Kelley for our DC wedding...it turned out better than I could have ever imagined and I know she is the main reason for that. -

We found Kelley through the preferred vendor list at our venue -- she has worked for the Hotel Monaco Alexandria several times and had a shining review from their staff. And, while we hired Kelley for her Day-of Coordination + Design Assistance – we feel like we got her for that and so much more. From the moment we met her, she was by our sides -- assisting with everything from (SEVERAL) vendor selections, to our tasting, to timeline planning, to our final florist meeting and walk-through. She was also super responsive, accommodating and supportive throughout such a stressful time, even handling rather-difficult vendors on our behalf. She made last-minute additions to our event (lighting, guitarist) seamless and stress-free – our event was BEAUTIFUL thanks to Kelley’s aesthetic. The day-of, she handled everything from managing guest requests, caring for personal belongings, and really just making it the most fun and special day of our lives. This review is a bit late because of our extended honeymoon, so I'm anxious to get this out here! This is the first review that I have ever posted because I rarely use comment boards, but I'm delighted to support and share how wonderful it was to work with Lindsey. I initially reached out to another company, but was referred to Kelley Cannon Events and never once looked back. Lindsey executed my day-of and partial planning needs flawlessly. Guests involved in the activities of the Day repeatedly told me how pleasant it was to work with Lindsey and asked where I had found her. I have strong opinions, but Lindsey listened to my ideas, encouraged me and also instructed me when I was in the dark or going down the wrong road. She is extremely professional with a fun/cheerful/relaxed personality. When other vendors where confused by what I desired, Lindsey followed-up by being a helpful mediator and making sure we were on the same page. And lastly, the day before the wedding, I lost all my mini-clothespins to hold up the name cards. Lindsey responded to my panicked email early in the morning to tell me she reached into her own collection and counted 173 pins so I was saved! It's comforting in general to know you are supported or that someone is helping you as best they can through the entire process. I highly recommend Lindsey and Kelley Cannon Events! -

We can't say enough good things about Kelley Cannon Events and our wedding planner, Lindsay Farrell! We worked with Kelley Cannon via email when we first began our search for a wedding planner. She was very helpful. We met with Lindsay Farrell as we were narrowing down planners and were impressed right off the bat. She was incredibly professional and personable and it was an easy choice to hire Heras our planner. Kelley Cannon Events rates were straightforward and full planning services was truly full services. She went with us to all vendor meetings, helped us come up with ideas and make decisions that kept with the feel of the day we wanted to have, and was always responsive to our emails and phone calls. She only recommended excellent vendors that fit our budget and that provided great service. She was patient with all of our questions and never made us feel silly for asking stupid questions. Lindsay also helped to relieve the stress that comes with planning a wedding and always kept us on track. On our wedding day, everything ran smoothly because of all the work Lindsay did. Lindsey Farrell, of Kelley Cannon Events, provided fantastic service as my daughter's day of wedding coordinator. As the mother of the bride, who lives out of state, it was reassuring that everything was taken care of to the most minute detail! We had an itinerary for the day and she directed the wedding so that it flowed seamlessly. My daughter had someone to rely on before the wedding and I was able to relax and enjoy the wedding.
Lindsey is a pleasant, professional person who does not get ruffled easily. When it rained and the wedding had to be moved indoors, she arranged and decorated the room so that one would never have guessed the wedding was meant to be held anywhere else. She made the wedding an exciting time and a treasured memory, when it could have been quite stressful. My daughter enjoyed working with Lindsey and valued her expertise. It gave us both peace to have her overseeing the event.
I am so glad we had Kelley Cannon Events coordinate the wedding. I would use them again without a second thought. Thank you, Lindsey!

I worked with Lindsey from Kelley Cannon Events who was incredible! I truly owe the success of my wedding to her.
I splurged on a Day-Of Coordinator. The money I spent was not originally in my budget but it was worth every penny. After getting overwhelmed with the planning process I began interviewing coordinators. I interviewed 4 planners before finally meeting Lindsey. She was excellent from the beginning. The day we met I had total confidence in her ability to make my wedding a success. Throughout the planning process Lindsey was easily accessible to answer questions about etiquette and to recommend vendors. After consulting books, websites and family, I can say with confidence that Lindsey was the best resource I had.
During the wedding Lindsey was incredibly professional and overlooked no detail. The best thing about her is she needs so little direction. For example, I spent about 30 minutes going over my decor with Lindsey for the reception. When I got to the reception site, it looked better than I could have imagined. When there was a little hiccup with the florist, I notified Lindsey and it was fixed within half an hour. If you want to really enjoy a worry free wedding day, I highly recommend you consider Kelley Cannon Events. -

Lindsey from Kelley Cannon events was more than I could have ever imagined. She was able to deal with my constant emails and all of my additions that I would forget to tell her about. I had a lot of crafts that I made myself to put up around the wedding and she took them all and set them up without a hitch. She was very flexible with negotiating the contract and even came with me to the caterer to pick out linens/chairs (the stuff I didn't care about). We had two groomsmen who had issues with their suits the day of the wedding and I didn't even know it happened because she came to the rescue! The wedding also started late because of traffic and she was able to pull everything together and get it back on time without anyone even noticing the changes. She found all of my vendors who all were amazing! I know I couldn't have had such an amazing wedding without her help and we are so grateful for her! -

We would have been lost without Kelley when planning our wedding!! She really was the dream team before, during, and after. We were referred to Kelley from a friend who had worked with her for their wedding. She was so responsive when we contacted her and met with us right away. We actually met with her before deciding on any other vendors, and it definitely worked in our favor as she was able to recommend ways to negotiate and actually saved us a lot of money upfront. She also provided great advice on the decor for our wedding (also saving us money on mistakes we could have made). Her rates are so reasonable when you think of what money you will save by running decisions past her, her review of the contracts for the wedding, and keeping your sanity (and the sanity of fiance, parents, family, etc.) leading up to the wedding is priceless.
We knew we wanted to use a wedding coordinator because we had been guests at weddings where we had to do a lot of work because there wasn't one. We also thought of Kelley as "insurance" for anything that could happen at the wedding... rain, unruly guests, odd requests, misbehaving relatives, etc. Kelley has seen it all and you will be in great hands!! Her menu of services let you pick what you need, and whatever service you choose (full, partial, day-of), it always includes email and phone consults and a review of all your contracts, which is great.
The day of our wedding was so seamless because Kelley was there in the background. She handled everything while our parents and we were able to relax on the important parts of the day... getting married! -

I don’t have enough words to describe how awesome Kelley Canon Events is! Ever since I met Kelley and Lindsey I realized that they were great professionals with a lot of knowledge and sense of style. Since Kelley was 7 months pregnant when I hired them, Lindsey helped me with every single step before the big day. She was always on top of things, were extremely responsive and always finding the best options for me.
The day of the Wedding Lindsey and Kelley absolutely rocked! Not only the decoration looked fabulous, but the timeline was perfectly executed, making us enjoy the taste of each moment. At the end of the night, I found all my belongings carefully packed in my room! A part from their professionalism, they are beautiful human beings. Even after the Wedding was over and therefore the contract fulfilled, Lindsey was still helping to get a topper replacement from the Hotel.

PERFECT, That is the first word that comes to mind when I think of working with Kelley. I found Kelley through a google search online and reached out to her. She was absolutely amazing to work with. She let me know from the beginning that she was always available through text, cell, or email, and she was!
I also had the joy of working with Kelley through her pregnancy, and birth of her first child. Let me tell you- girl had it ALL together! You would have never known that she had a baby just weeks before my wedding, she handled the whole event with class, organization and punctuality. I felt so at ease on my wedding day due to all the hard work she did behind the scenes for us. My wedding would NOT have been the same without her.
Kelley also hooked me up with the majority of my vendors. I had no idea who I wanted to use for my vendors and she made suggestions and got me AMAZING vendors to deal with that she works with often, that I knew I could trust. I loved the vendors almost as much as I loved Kelley! Kelley also helped me center in on the theme for my wedding, color schemes, flower/decoration choices. I had no idea what I wanted to do for a lot of these ideas, and Kelley sat down with me one morning for coffee and we "Pintrested" until I decided what it was I was looking for!
If you want a wedding planner that is flexible, energetic, professional, and... I will go ahead and say it PERFECT. Call Kelley :) -

Despite being in such high demand Kelley and Lindsey took a lot of time and care going over all the details and contracts. I wish I could select 6 out of 5 stars for Kelley. She was, in the case of my wedding, an absolute necessity. We only hired her for day-of coordinating, but she was still in contact with us months before as vendor contracts came in, schedules were drafted, and even to make recommendations for things my husband and I hadn't been able to find ourselves. I get easily stressed on top of the normal stress that brides get, so to have someone else to direct the rehearsal and the wedding itself was such a relief. I didn't have to worry about when vendors arrived, decorating, paying vendors, and she even drove all of the gifts and leftovers to our hotel when it was all over. I'd love to work with her again someday, but of course since I'm happily married I doubt I'd ever need her again xD -

Kelley Cannon is a great wedding planner. My husband and I both agree that our wedding was truly perfect. We and all of our family and friends had a great time. It has been a few months since the wedding and we are still receiving compliments. We also received multiple phone calls the next day with people describing the wedding as "the best one they have ever been to" which made us both very happy since we know they did not have to say that.
Also, all of Kelley's recommended vendors exceeded our expectations. The flowers were beautiful (some of the centerpieces were used during a church service the next day), the cake was delicious (the people w/ gluteen free diets also complimented the cupcakes), the candy/popcorn bar was a hit, hair and make-up on everyone came out great, the officiant made it personal but kept it short and sweet which what we wanted and my favorite was the DJ - he was exactly what we were looking for.

Kelley Cannon's services are great. She helped us find great vendors to work with that helped realize my wedding vision and were in our budget. We worked with Lindsey who was fantastic. She added several really nice touches to the reception and quickly fixed a snafu that presented itself without us even knowing about it. The reception went smoothly and exactly as planned. Definitely worth every penny. -

I used Kelley Cannon for day-of wedding coordination and I can’t write enough good things about her and her company. From day one, I was impressed by her knowledge, professionalism, and down-to-earth nature. When I told my fiancé I wanted to get a day-of coordinator, he responded that it was a waste of money. However, after the wedding was all said and done, he kept saying what a good idea getting help was. We both were pretty impressed by how much she actually helped us and set our mind at ease. We didn’t really have to think about anything other than enjoying our day. She was able to handle whatever was thrown at her (and there were some obstacles) with ease and made everything run seamlessly. What I valued the most was that she spoke on my behalf to vendors and asked questions I didn’t even know I should ask. That was EXTREMELY helpful. Overall, I feel like Kelley Cannon Events was the best vendor I chose. -

My husband and I met Kelley and Carla at a wedding event a month before we were engaged and the minute we were engaged we called Kelley and hired her for partial planning. Kelley made planning the wedding so easy. I am a slight control freak and Kelley was able to talk me off the crazy ledge more than a few times. We found our photography (Anne Robert Photography –BEST.PHOTOGRAPHER.EVER) and our florist (Wicked Willow –awesome flowers-no really they were amazing!) through her. The weekend of the wedding I had nothing to do but show up with a manicure. Everyone kept asking how I was so calm and my response was, “I have Kelley”. I never had to worry about anything. Kelley saved the day with my escort cards and they were amazing. The morning of my wedding my biggest concern was making sure I had breakfast for the girls in the suite. I literally had no worries; Kelley called in the morning to check on my, called and confirmed all my vendors and kept everyone on time. I got to sit back with a glass of champagne and just enjoy my day. At the wedding Carla made sure I got a bite to eat, helped with my bustle, and pretty much made sure that no one and nothing bothered me. Kelley Cannon Events is needed for each and every wedding. -

Kelley Cannon is the best wedding planner ever! We only had three months to plan our wedding and would never have been able to pull it off without her. Her attention to detail, responsiveness and down to earth personality made the whole experience enjoyable. Kelley went above and beyond our expectations and she does a great job of taking the stress out of planning. All of her vendor recommendations were excellent. She’s so creative and does a fabulous job taking your vision and making it reality. We worked with Karla from Kelley Cannon Events for day of coordination and could not have been more pleased. From the minute we met Karla, she was available to provide guidance, advice and experience on every aspect of the wedding. While most of the big decisions were made when we started working with her, Karla took the time to learn all the details of our wedding vision and become familiar with our vendors/contracts so she could ensure that our wedding day was fabulous - and it was! We had a rainy, cold day but Karla was prepared and took charge in making sure all of the vendors knew the details for our plan b. As a bride, I didn't have to worry about anything - not when the car service got in accident, not when flowers were missing, not when the tent starting leaking...Karla rose to every challenge and thanks to her and our other wonderful vendors every detail of our wedding was perfect! I would highly recommend working with Karla and Kelley Cannon Events for day of coordination - she will make certain you have the wedding you've always wanted! -

We worked with Kristen as a day-of-coordinator and we couldn't have been more impressed with her work. Hiring Kristen was one of the best decisions we made and it was money incredibly well spent because it allowed us to enjoy the day and not worry about the details and little issues that inevitably came up. She provided much needed advice and took over managing the contracts right before the wedding, which allowed us to focus on the fun parts. The weather did not cooperate with us on the day of the wedding (it was freezing and raining), and she seamlessly came up with a great way of rearranging our space to accommodate all the events inside (and quickly learned how to operate gas tent heaters). We forgot a basket to put cards in, and, again, she came to the rescue and came up with a solution on her own. The cupcake store tried to deliver the cupcakes to the billing address instead of the wedding venue, and again, Kristen worked all of that out, and the cupcakes were there when they needed to be. Her demeanor is perfect for dealing with stressed out people and testy family members. According to my now husband (!!!), Kristen was organized, thorough, detail-oriented, and reliable, and she was the most value-added vendor. -

Kelley herself worked with us on the Full Planning Package for our wedding. She was amazing! My husband and I agree that our wedding was perfect, and much of that credit goes to Kelley. We hired Kristen at Kelly Cannon’s events for our day of coordinator and were so thankful that we did. As Kristen and Kelly explained to us, having an event coordinator the day of is like having insurance that your wedding goes well. That is exactly what Kristen did for us. Towards the day of we were beginning to get more and more worried that our on sight coordinator at our hotel would be able to handle everything we had planned. We wanted to make sure that there was someone there at our rehearsal to tell us were to stand and what to do. We also wanted to make sure that my family and I wouldn’t be stressed out the day of with talking to vendors and putting out fires. Because of Kristen I had no idea about any drama going on behind the scenes. She texted me and my husband separately that morning to make sure we were ok. The entire day I was stress free because Kristen was off talking care of EVERYTHING. She helped to gather my family when it was needed, talked to the vendors at the end of the night to take care of payments, and was constantly checking up on me. My mother my husband and I were thrilled that Kristen was there to make our day stress free. -

We cannot speak highly enough of both Karla Mitchell and Kelley of Kelley Cannon Events, We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with both Karla as our full planner and wedding designer and with Kelley for our day-of coordination. Kelley and Karla are both joys to work with independently, but together they are a dream team. Karla’s professionalism and attention to detail blew me away from the beginning of the process and bear in mind, dear reader, that dealing with me as a bride was no small task. I was probably a wedding planner’s worst nightmare, as I was nervous, indecisive and upon getting engaged, I had not thought for a single minute about what our wedding might be like; in a word, totally clueless. Not to mention that I knew we would have a limited budget to contend with as well as the fact that we decided in February that we wanted to get married in July of the same year. So when I finally sat down with Karla to start the planning process, I was a fragile pile of neuroses, lost adrift in a sea of bridal magazines. Karla assured me that she was there to help and was able from the start to ask the most targeted questions that helped both me and my then- fiancé figure out exactly what kind of wedding day we really wanted. It seemed that without us really knowing where we were going, Karla immediately “got” what was really important to us as well as the look and feel that fit us as a couple. With a concept in mind, Karla dove into planning an overall design by building a mood board that included the elements of the wedding we hoped to achieve. She was skilled at making thoughtful suggestions of things we might like and was able to amazingly bring to life all of our ideas and wants. Karla has a true eye for thoughtful, savvy design and considers even the tiniest of details. I can’t tell you how many guests commented on how beautiful our whole wedding was; a few commented that they had the feeling they were in a picturesque ad, as everything was so fresh and thoughtfully planned. In the weeks after our wedding, I would sometimes glance at the final style board Karla designed and marvel at how the day truly ended up looking and feeling exactly how we had envisioned it and it was all thanks to Karla’s hard work. At the same time, Karla was crucial at every logistical step. Karla has a no-nonsense approach to planning especially when it comes to selecting vendors. Karla always had our budget in mind and helped navigate us to the best vendors for us. She reviewed and kept our contracts, helped remind us of deadlines and proactively dealt with contacting and following up with all vendors saving me an enormous amount of time and stress. Leading up to the wedding, Karla coordinated with the vendors to ensure a smooth day so that I did not have to worry about a thing. It was so invaluable to know that everything was taken cared of and that all I had to do was enjoy the special day. As our day-of coordinator, Kelley was the first to arrive at our venue and the last to leave, making sure that everything was on time, in place and that everyone was happy. It was a joy and such a comfort having her there. Overall, we could not have had the truly fabulous wedding we had without Karla and Kelley and recommend them to everyone we know!!!

Kelley was AMAZING! I had originally hired her for day-of planning, but after my venue fell through - my husband and I opted for the full wedding planning package. Kelley was ALWAYS available and quick to respond. She took on the tasks I didn't want anything to do with and let me have fun with the creative details I loved. She negotiated on my behalf, reviewed contracts, made suggestions for sticky family issues and organized EVERYTHING the day of the wedding. If something went wrong that day - I didn't have a clue until it was already resolved and the day had come and gone! Thanks Kelley! -

I cannot recommend Kelley Cannon Events highly enough! I heard about Kelley through a co-worker who was getting married a month before me, and I'm so lucky I did. As my partner and I already lived together and had a child together, we did not plan a long engagement or over the top celebration. But we still wanted a lovely day in a beautiful place with family, good friends and delicious food. Kelley got that.
We had 3 months to plan our wedding and Kelley was a lifesaver. I had already looked into location (we wanted a Saturday luncheon) and Kelley confirmed that 2941 would be great for our purposes. Based on our ideas, Kelley quickly suggested choices for officiant, flowers, music, hair, makeup, etc. Everything came together perfectly. A minor snafu the day of the wedding was handled immediately by Kelley and her assistant so no one was even aware. That is one of the many reasons why she is invaluable. -

She was so responsive, so supportive, so creative, and so enthusiastic, and she really brought together a team of vendors that made our wedding day just perfect. It was gorgeous, it was fun, and it was low-stress because I knew she had everything under control. Kelley set up and attended every appointment with me (even picked me up from the metro for some since I don't have a car!), gave great advice when I had etiquette questions, and in general was just a delight to work with. To say our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without Karla wouldn’t do justice to her performance. From the moment that I met with her and Kelley, I knew that I would be hiring Kelley Cannon Events. During the initial meetings, they made me feel at ease, as if I was chatting with old friends. Karla immediately demonstrated professionalism, enthusiasm and incredible attention to detail. I hired Karla as my day-of coordinator, but the effort that she put in throughout the whole process far exceeded my expectations. Karla was responsive to e-mails months before the wedding, and reached out frequently to check in and gather information. She even came with us to the venue for a vendor walkthrough about a month prior to the wedding, and also ran the rehearsal the day prior to the wedding. She coordinated with all of our vendors, saving so much time, energy, and headache. Karla took ownership of the schedules for the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception, always accommodating what worked best for me, my husband and family. Every step of the way I felt like I was working with my older sister, as she guided us through the various decisions that needed to be made. At the event, my husband and I did not have to worry about any details. Karla made sure we were where we needed to be at the right time – I can’t imagine who would have handled all of these items had we not hired her. Karla made demands of vendors the day of the wedding that we found out about only after everything was over – she handled everything from air conditioning issues to a damaged wedding cake. She even dealt with vases that needed to be returned to the florist the following day. I highly recommend Karla for whatever level of service you need. This was the best decision we made as it relates to wedding planning. She exceeded our expectations, and will exceed yours as well. I’m looking forward to seeing Kelley Cannon Events at the wedding of one of my best friends in fall 2012! -

Kelley Cannon was our amazing wedding planner! We hired Kelley for her "Day of Coordination" service and we could not imagine our wedding without her. Kelley made our wedding day so memorable and, more importantly, stress-free!
We met with Kelley several times before our wedding day. She was quick to respond to our emails and calls. In addition, Kelley provided us with a lot of ideas that were "outside of the box". When you're planning for a wedding (especially for 230 guests!), it's easy to forget the simple things. Kelley was there to put things into perspective for us and she gave us a lot of wonderful, easy, and affordable ideas for our wedding. We felt so comfortable with Kelley because she was always there for guidance and support.
Kelley's focus and attention to detail are remarkable. She contacted all of our vendors to ensure that everything was in order for the wedding day. She went above and beyond her call of duty. Our friends and family noticed Kelley's "behind the scene" work and commented on how wonderful she is.
We have already referred Kelley to other friends who are getting married in the DC area. She truly loves her work and is an incredible person. We could not have asked for a better wedding planner.

My husband and I got married 1.5 months after our engagement.
I can honestly say I don't know how we would have managed to pull off a seamless wedding with such a quick planning period without Kelley!
Kelley is a lovely person to work with. She is fun and makes you feel like a best friend really sharing your desire to have a perfect wedding. She was our best wedding day investment.
We hired her for "day-of" services but she went above and beyond the call of duty. We give her an A+/5 star rating for all of the standard things you would expect from a wedding planner (the ratings above) But I wanted to share 2 examples of why Kelley so stellar.
1) Kelley advised me to do my hair & makeup trial way sooner than I did. Because of my work schedule, I had to take a chance and do my trial the week of the wedding. I ended up having a terrible trial and repeat trial (at the same place) with only 2 days till wedding day.
I had already signed a contract with this particular salon and they were very clear I could not get out of it. I sent Kelley a picture of my horrible hair style and told her I was freaking out.
Kelley was so calm and told me not to worry. She called this terrible salon, somehow got me and my party out of the contract, and scheduled us with a fabulous hair (Hair by Jules) and makeup (Kim Reyes) team the day before the wedding. My stress and worry melted away. I looked and felt amazing on my wedding day. Kelley saved the day!
2) I was overwhelmed with details and forgot to do the signs for our desert bar, the gift table, and the jar where guests could leave "love notes" to bride and groom. Once again, Kelley jumped right in and made beautiful signs herself so I could relax and cross that off my worry list.
My point is, if you want to really enjoy the planning process and be stress free on your big day, you need Kelley.

Kelley Cannon Events was hands down the best investment we made on our wedding! We worked with Karla on Day of Coordination and she was incredibly helpful. Despite the fact, that my husband and I diligently planned our wedding for 14 months there were so many unforeseeable obstacles that came up on our wedding day that Karla was able to quickly and efficiently solve.
On the days leading up to the wedding, I was becoming more and more stressed out. I truly wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to enjoy my wedding after all the work we had put into it BUT I DID enjoy that day and it was thanks to Karla’s impressive skills. On the night of the rehearsal dinner, she introduced herself to our families and bridal party and said that from that moment on she was taking charge and to start directing all questions to her. I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. The night of my wedding was the best night of our lives because we were able to just enjoy ourselves as Karla took care of everything behind the scenes without adding any unnecessary stress to us. Many of our guests actually came up to us and my parents to tell them that our wedding was very well organized.
I truly feel that Day of Coordination is becoming more and more essential at weddings. But in addition, the staff’s professionalism at Kelley Cannon Events is what made our day truly amazing. For example, after meeting with us two weeks before the wedding, Karla realized just how many moving pieces our wedding had and decided to bring on an assistant to make sure our day was executed just like we envisioned. Karla also volunteered herself to run many of our errands when realized how stretched we were like picking up our wedding flowers and even my wedding dress!
We found Kelley Cannon Events’ services were a fantastic value for the cost. Their Day of Coordination package includes so much more than just the wedding day. We had unlimited phone and email consultations with Karla and Kelley throughout the wedding planning process and Karla actually started working on our wedding day logistics and touching bases with our vendors two whole weeks before the event.

If I could give Kelley more than 5 stars on here I would! My husband and I hired Kelley as our day-of wedding coordinator. Our package included some support leading up to the event, gathering our vendor contracts, assistance at the rehearsal, and day-of coordination of everything (vendor arrival times, set-up and break-down for the ceremony and reception, getting all of the wedding party and family members in the right places at the right times, etc.), but Kelley provided so much more! She was consistently enthusiastic about helping us get our wedding day just right. Although we did not hire her to help book vendors and/or negotiate contracts, that did not stop Kelley from providing several vendor recommendations. In fact, I ended up booking the florist, the officiant, and the hair stylist that she suggested. My husband and I had a wonderful time working with Kelley and are so happy that we hired her. There is no way that our amazing wedding would have gone so smoothly or that we would have been able to enjoy it as much as we did without her. Kelley is down to earth, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service. She thinks of everything and provides a lot of helpful feedback. She was very affordable as well. Should the need arise in the future(for a big birthday or holiday party), I'll hire Kelley again for sure! -
