Amazing! Such delicious food!

The food was amazing and the price was so affordable. They are an amazing couple team that really put their heart into making event’s special. We are so grateful to have found them. It was absolutely perfect for our wedding day!

In a very shot notice, they did a great job. Everything was taken care. Food was delicious. I strongly recommend this place for small yet beautiful celebrations.

Jean was such a treasure to work with! With all the questions we had here and there, she was very understanding and gave us a few tips as well. The food was absolutely AMAZING!!! Everyone walked away with a food gut as they ate so much and raved as it was some of the best food they've had hands down. Even with quite a few of our guests having food allergies, they were able to help us make everything work, and also make sure that everyone had options to choose from! Such a great staff and venue! I would highly recommend them for anything!

P.S. also a great place to go try on a Friday night during the summers as they have food available with the car show on the Main street there in North St Paul

Exceptional food, exceptional value, exceptional people. There are two beautiful venues to choose from, with all inclusion pricing and no bar limit; which helps to keep you on budget and is one of the best values around. Our daughter wanted a smaller intimate wedding so we chose the Victorian room which has an outdoor gated patio area, and stage that made a great space for an outdoor wedding ceremony; we could not have asked for a more beautiful day! Kurt and Jean have a gift of hospitality; Jean is easy to work with and puts you at ease, Kurt has an extensive menu and is open to different options. Their staff is friendly, helpful, and professional. Both venues they have to offer are beautiful and would also make great for other occasions such as: class reunions, business parties, family events, etc... You must meet with Jean and Kurt and sample their food; love their red sauce.

We highly recommend K&J Catering. The Celebration room was set up beautifully and the food was delicious! Our guests are still commenting on how much they enjoyed the food and the entire evening. The staff was very courteous and professional. Kurt and Jean were so personable and wonderful to work with in the planning. They were helpful with ideas with the many options they offer. They even gave us ideas on ways we could save money. We couldn't have had a more wonderful reception.

We have used K& J Catering for our employee holiday lunches for several years. The food is great and the service is even better. I never have to give the luncheon a second thought once I book it. Set up is on time and I can count on the staff to make sure that the food is set up professionally and nothing ever runs out.

It is a pleasure doing business with them.

we had our 40th anniversary party at K&J Catering, they worked with us step by step, they were the very best value by far, and everyone that attended our party commented on how good the food was , how clean the place was and how polite all the people who worked there were. We cant say enough good about the place and the value.

I have worked with K&J for several years in providing a special lunch for Senior Center participants during the holidays. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. I especially appreciate the flexibility in the cost of the meal. It is always reasonable. The food is delicious, hot and presented nicely. Excellent service!

K&J Catering made our wedding so very special. All the extra touches. like the beautiful fountain, made the reception like a party! The staff could not have been more professional and they went out of their way to make our guests feel comfortable.

I can not say enough about how wonder the food was. The grilled chicken was great and those mashed potatoes were out of this world!

I would also like to thank Jean for the special attention and care that was given to make sure our guests with food allergies could enjoy their meal without worry.

My family has had the pleasure or dealing with Kurt and Jeanne Adamson two years in a row. We had wedding and rehearsal dinners catered by them in April of 2013, and again in May of 2014. These were not simple affairs. The first rehearsal dinner had 60 people, the second had 80 people. We used the K&J Special Occasions Hall, which is perfect for groups of this size. They welcomed us and our numbers, which included many roaming children. Our food choices each time, though very different were perfect. We had a pasta bar the first time, grilled rib-eye and chicken sandwiches the second time – both were phenomenal. We had the room to ourselves, including the patio. It was the perfect social gathering and were able to stay even after dinner was done.
The weddings were host to 300 people the first time, and 425 people the second time. Again, the food choices were wonderful. We had perfect appetizers during social hour. Fabulous chicken, beef, pasta, potatoes, salad, vegetables – and plenty of it. Since we are all food critics, we will remember what we ate. Our guests were raving about the food. It was done to perfection. In addition to wonderful food, the K&J staff was kind, professional, hard-working and fun. They went above and beyond to help make the hall look beautiful, they took on many additional tasks. Anything we asked them, they were more than willing to do and did it effortlessly. Dealing with Kurt and Jeanne during the planning was a joy, dealing with their staff at the wedding’s was even better.

K&J did a fantastic job with the food for our wedding reception. We were able to taste several items in advance to find the right menu for our buffet and many guests mentioned how good the food was. Also, the staff that worked our event were great; from setting up the buffet, to checking on us during the dinner, to clean up. Great value for the money too!

K and J catering was an amazing place to have our wedding reception at and the food that they catered was delicious! Jean and Kurt (the owners) were so incredibly easy to work with, it took the stress out of the day. They were willing to work with us on how we envisioned the day and even let us come in early to decorate. The venue we used was their Celebration Room which was the perfect amount of space for our 140 guests and was a beautiful setting, creating the perfect atmosphere for us and our guests! They were prompt on replying to our questions and were nothing but accommodating to our needs. Their buffet selections included many different options and everything we tried was scrumptious, making for hard choices :) All of our guests said that the food was great, and K and J even provided late night sandwiches for us! I was so happy we went with K and J catering, one of the best decisions throughout the whole planning process!!!

K&J provided a delicious meal at an affordable cost for our High School Hockey banquet. The attendees complimented our choice of caterer, menu and the taste of the food. The two employees brought the food in to our venue and were flexible with the set up to meet our needs. We hope to use K&J for future events.

I had used K&J Catering for my wedding reception 11 years ago. When starting the beginning stages of planning a holiday work party I mentioned K&J Catering. A co-worker stated she just recently went to a wedding which was catered by them and it was amazing. So I contacted K&J Catering via the website and heard back from them right away. I told them the budget I had to work with and Jean put together options for me with in that price point. My company decided to use K&J Catering’s delivery only option. K&J Catering was very accommodating. The guys that delivered the food were vary friendly and did a great job setting up the buffet. At the end of the party my co-workers were excited to report how fantastic the food was and what a great time they had. I am happy to report the food was still as wonderful as I had remembered. I will defiantly use there services again for future events and refer others to do the same. Thank you to the owners and staff at K&J Catering! You did an amazing job!

K & J is the best catering service in the Twin Cities! We have been to several weddings and so we have had many meals from different caterers within the Twin Cities area, but none of them compare to K&J Catering. K&J provide large quanties of food, so your guests will not leave feeling hungry. The most compliments we received from our guests was how good the food was at our wedding. One of our guests said, "I have been to 9 different weddings this year and the food at your wedding was by far the best and left me feeling the fullest." My husband and I wanted a caterer that would provide plenty of food to leave our guests filling full for a reasonable price....and K & J catering fully met our requirements. In addition, the staff were extremely nice and friendly. They even offered to help decorate all of our tables while we were setting up for the reception. You will not be dissappointed with K&J Catering!

AMAZING work, they do all of the set up and take down for you. Plus extra food is boxed up for you(if you do the buffet style dinner) and they will set up all of the favors for you.

We had a Friday night wedding with a 7 pm reception at the Harriet Island Pavillion in St. Paul. K& J is one of the approved caterers for that facility so it made that piece of coordinating the reception that much easier. K&J caters there a lot, so they are very familiar with the space. K& J provided a terrific buffet dinner. I was hungry at the reception and ready to eat. This bride did not go hungry. We had Champagne Chicken, Green Bean Almondine, Beef Tips with Egg Noodles in some kind of delicious sauce, Cheese Tortellini Alfredo, Mashed Potatoes, rolls, a veggie tray, fruit tray and salad. It was a lot of food, but I was happy because I wanted to make sure everyone had a good dinner. The Champagne Chicken was probably the biggest hit of the night. It was great comfort food. if you are looking for fancy food, with small portions, that is not what this caterer is about, but delicious hearty food, for sure. I was worried that there would be a long line at the bar when guests arrived, so I coordinated with K&J to have some passed cocktails as people arrived. It worked really well. People came from church and were hot and thirsty. The Servers from K&J provided our signature wedding cocktail for guests as they arrived, ensuring there was no long wait at the bar and everyone was happy. We liked the caterer so much that we had a surprise 60th birthday party for my mother in law the next year, at their on site banquet room. We ordered a few of the same items off the menu because we enjoyed them so much the first time. This is a terrific choice for your wedding or special event, We've recommended them to many people since our reception.

KJ Catering has catered our church's last three Passover celebrations and they have done a WONDERFUL job. Great place to have a reception for a small wedding. The place is not huge but it is a decent size if you have around 100 people for the reception. The food is amazing and is definitely worth the price.

K & J Catering was phenomenal to work with. They were very professional and were always quick to answer questions and to give guidance. At our wedding everyone was talking about how good the food was and wanted to know who catered! Everything was delicious and I highly recommend their services.

The owners were awesome, even let us stay a little later. I couldn’t be more happy with the food it was amazing that night and the day after. The bartenders were horrible, very unfriendly. I don’t think I saw a smile once, took forever to get a beer, and even snapped at one of my guest.

We were so totally pleased with K&J catering services! We would definitely consider using you again should the need arise. The serving staff were friendly and courteous beyond any expectations, and always kept us informed of the time schedule and always asked before changing or making adjustments to timing. The bartender was wonderful - and we received many positive comments from our guests about the bar and drinks! The supervisor in charge of the food and serving could not have done better - she was superb!! Thank you so much for making the dinner and reception so worry free for us and Also - the food was delicious!!! Thanks!

A last minute menu change did get ordered and we ended up with the wrong vegetable. Not the end of the world. They realized the error before I did and called to inform me. Awesome food, efficient set up.

They were very flexible when it came to decorating and letting us use their props and decorations. They were open to new and unique ideas we had that the have never done before. Kurt was very helpful and listened to our ideas while Jean seemed annoyed whenever we asked her about something. I was very disappointed that they didn't give us a written contract up front, this lead to unexpected costs when the final bill came. The food was awesome! The bar rates were expensive, they require you to buy toasting champagne from them at $22/bottle if you are doing it for everyone. You can bring in a bottle or two of your own for the head table. Overall it was a good experience. Just try to work with Kurt, who even brought out free sandwiches for guests during the dances.

I hired K&J bar service for our bar service only, not food catering. They were very easy to work with, they answered emails very quickly. They were very polite on the telephone. My issues were that 1 of my 2 bartenders was unprofessional. I often saw him yawning, leaning on the bar, and scowling. The other issue, and most significant was the drink prices are OUTRAGEOUS! I had to pay $400 just for the service. We had a cash bar, there was a $1200 minimum required. If our guests didn't reach $1200 we had to pay the difference. With 180 guests you'd think we'd hit that minimum easily. Well, we didn't, they only sold $840. Why? Because the prices are ridiculous. $4.75 for a bottle of bud light? Seriously? A majority of my guests drove to the liquor store and came back. I was extremely disappointed that the prices were so high. If they lowered them (say, $3.00/beer) they would've sold 3 times as much. Bottom line, I would not recommend this bar service.

The food is amazing. However we had trouble with the fact that they did not provide cake plates and forks when needed for our cake cutters. The last of the cake went missing at the end of the night also.
