We really enjoyed working with KI Weddings and their team. Particularly, we would like to shout out Taylor and Jignasa who led our planning. We particularly loved having KI Weddings on the weekend of our wedding because it allowed us to enjoy being in the moment rather than having to worry about the logistics and small details. Would highly recommend KI Weddings!

I had a good experience with KI

Thanks for helping us get through one of the biggest events of our lives. I don’t think we would have been able to enjoy our wedding without y’all and especially Taylor! I know we put her through the grinder but she did an amazing job!!

The Team Was Amazing!

Asha was pure gold on the day of events and I wish we had met earlier. My bridesmaids adored her! Ashley put in so much effort with planning and creating vision boards for each event. I really appreciated her dedication and hard work with making my vision come to life. Bhumi was so great with emails and communication. She really picked up the slack from losing two of the previous leads. Muneera helped with a ton of logistics which was great and so helpful. Jignasa helped navigate difficult family conversations and difference of opinions. Every person on the team was very much appreciated.

We’re eternally grateful

It was such a great experience. Our lead planners, Asha and Jignasa, were the absolute BEST. As a bride, I was extremely Type A and stressed 95% of the time. KI handled every detail and gave us so much reassurance throughout the process. Our wedding wouldn’t have been as special and enjoyable without them.

An Absolute Pleasure!

Working with Jignasa and Taylor was an absolute pleasure. Being a type A person and juggling my final year of school I needed a dream team which I found in Jignasa and Taylor. They both did exactly what I need and heard my concerns and requests. Not once during my wedding did I worry about any issues. We both were so present with our family and because of them everything was seamless.

10/10! The day of put everything into perspective - we didn’t have to worry about anything or remind anyone to do a task. We felt we could fully enjoy our weekend, be stress free, and had no idea if anything was going wrong! We felt fully taken care of and loved our weekend.

11/10 Their Service is Unmatched!

The amount of advice, mediation, and feedback we got at any given time was unmatched. Our wedding weekend honestly would have been impossible to manage without the KI team’s help. I can’t imagine being the bride or groom and also being in the trenches when things inevitably go wrong - it was amazing to have the peace of mind that there were people who would advocate for us and see our vision through. We delegated to the right team. I recommend working with KI for literally any and every thing.

We began working with KI weddings more than a year ago to help plan our wedding in Dallas. Jignasa was incredible in every step of the process. As with most weddings, there are unexpected obstacles that come up, and Jignasa and her team handled them effortlessly and really took the pressure off of us. There had been some last minute problems with the decorators, set up, and draping/make up vendors, which was handled professionally and expediently by Jignasa and KI weddings. We had some last minute changes in the middle of the night before the wedding day which again, Jignasa took care of immediately.

Their knowledge of the Dallas area was an amazing asset, to helping us plan our wedding and the venue. Their reputation is top notch in Dallas and outside. We felt very lucky that KI weddings and Jignasa were there to plan our wedding. She felt like a part of our family and genuinely wanted all the guests to be happy. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, experienced, accommodating, and caring wedding planner. Thank you so much!

My wedding would not have been successful without KI Weddings. They were there from the moment I got engaged to help me make all my choices. KI Weddings introduced my family to amazing vendors and did all the negotiation for us!!!! Planning a South Asian wedding can be extremely overwhelming and stressful but I enjoyed every moment of if because they took all the stress away!

Jignasa is simply the best! The only advice I give to brides is to hire a wedding planner... and not just anyone. Jignasa truly goes above and beyond to get to know you and your family and make your day entirely stress-free! Our wedding day was flawless and we enjoyed every minute of it- thanks to Jignasa working tirelessly in the background ensuring every detail was executed perfectly!

Lacked quality customer service
-Failed to respond quickly to requests (up to 3 weeks in some cases; yet continued to reiterate adherence to a 24/48 hour response time when directly confronted about their service times)

Lacked clear communication
-Created confusion amongst vendors i.e. vendors not knowing exactly what the floor-plan was during the day of the event

Overall, I question whether or not I could have managed vendors on my own without using their "services." In my opinion, they are priced to high for what you actually get.

Advice: Eliminate the middle man and work directly with the vendors on your own. It's a win-win for the customer and the vendor (removes the middle man margin).

Unprofessional and Unreliable – A Cautionary Tale with K.I. WEDDINGS

Our experience with K.I. WEDDINGS was a profound disappointment, characterized by a level of unprofessionalism and negligence that fell far short of the standards one would expect from a company specializing in the coordination of such a significant life event. As clients who entered into this engagement with high hopes and clear expectations, we were dismayed by the multitude of issues we encountered throughout the planning process.

To begin, communication was inconsistent and substandard. Despite repeated attempts to establish a reliable channel of correspondence, our emails and phone calls were routinely ignored or inadequately addressed. This lack of responsiveness created an atmosphere of uncertainty and prevented us from making informed decisions regarding essential aspects of our event. When communication did occur, it was evident that our preferences and specific instructions had been overlooked or misunderstood, which resulted in a cascading series of errors and miscommunications.

The situation escalated to an unacceptable level when, just 14 days before our wedding, the planner assigned to our event abruptly resigned without any prior notice. This unilateral decision to terminate services left us in an untenable position, scrambling to coordinate critical details that should have been finalized long before. The timing of this departure was not only unprofessional but also demonstrated a complete disregard for the contractual obligations and ethical responsibilities owed to us as clients.

Compounding these issues, we encountered numerous logistical failures on the day of our event. Vendors were not properly briefed, leading to significant delays and confusion. The venue setup deviated markedly from what had been meticulously planned, and several key elements of our decor were either missing or incorrectly arranged. Such lapses in execution are unacceptable for any event, let alone one of this magnitude and emotional significance.

When we sought to address these concerns, we were met with a lack of accountability and a refusal to acknowledge the impact of these shortcomings. Rather than accepting responsibility, the representatives of K.I. WEDDINGS engaged in unconstructive behavior, attempting to deflect blame onto other parties, including ourselves and our guests. This response was both unprofessional and indicative of a fundamental failure to uphold the values of client service and integrity.

Given the substantial investment we made, both financially and emotionally, we expected a level of service commensurate with the promises made by K.I. WEDDINGS. Instead, we were subjected to an experience that was distressing, chaotic, and ultimately unsatisfactory. It is our sincere hope that this review serves as a caution to others considering engaging with this company. Based on our experience, we cannot, in good conscience, recommend K.I. WEDDINGS to anyone seeking a reliable and professional wedding planning service.

terrible planners

If you are planning for an Indian wedding, it is stressful and overwhelming at baseline so getting a wedding planner seems mandatory. There are multiple areas KI Wedding could’ve improved in. Attention to detail - we specifically planned a trip to Texas to look at venues since it was no secreof our arrival so we could only explore the event spaces in a limited capacity. One particular venue could only accommodate 30 to 40 people when we had specified that we would have a guest list of 250 to 300. We must’ve been given a generic list. Another example - I would have tot we lived out of state. We were given a list of venues to visit. None of the venue staff were aware repeat myself about details for the wedding such as color schemes, contact information for vendors, general flow events for the wedding. It would be nice if they took the time to review the shared googledoc or notes on clients before engaging in phone calls. I thought their involvement was extremely peripheral despite purchasing full-service wedding planning. I personally edited the majority of the shared googledoc document which was used as a central information portal. I asked repeatedly for an updated timeline and to-do list on the googledoc which was never completed. It did not provide confidence that items on the to-do lists were being done. I was reassured that a wedding could be planned and put together in a very short amount of time despite my insistence that I did not have the luxury of time due to the nature of my occupation. They also needed quicker turnaround and transparency in communication. They needed frequent prompting and follow-up messages after phone calls/discussions to see if any action was done on items. It would commonly take several days for communications to vendors to be initiated or continued. If we had a phone call about the wedding on Monday, you wouldn’t hear anything through Thursday and they would be completely unavailable Friday to Sunday. Therefore, we lost an entire week without any progress. Other things - I did not realize that we would not be directly working with Jignasa. Many companies delegate work to lead planners however it took a long time to be introduced to the lead planner and we felt several months of planning time was lost. KI Weddings claims take care of negotiation with vendors which I did not see any evidence of. The majority of the vendors recommended by this company were grossly out of budget. We found and booked most of the vendors on our own instead. Despite all of these shortcomings, we were hopeful that the execution of the multi-day, multi-event wedding would be where the company would shine. Unfortunately due to COVID, we canceled and we did not have the luxury of setting a new date. They had the audacity to request full payment of services even though I would say less than 20% of services were rendered up until that point (one month prior to the wedding). Overall, I think there are likely other wedding planning services out there that will work more readily with you to decrease the planning burden rather than add to it.

Horrible Company! DO NOT HIRE!

When you first talk to Jignasa she seems so sweet and genuine(BC she wants to sign you) then once you become her client you will see the real Jignasa! I went to KI because I heard Jignasa gets things done, I even overpaid to have Jignasa service my wedding. Reasons you shouldn't hire KI: 1) As a client what you pay for is not what you get, you still have to a lot of work on your own. 2) Jignasa does not keep her word, I paid extra to make sure she would service my wedding and she said she would be there bc at that time she had no other wedding, couples month later she started to claim she had a "family function" however, that was not true. Through the Indian community I heard there was another wedding that weekend and Jignasa wanted to go there because of course she was going to make more money but instead of telling the truth she told me something else. So I simply said if she could not be present thats fine but I would like some of my money back and she said thats not a problem and also I would like to know who would service my wedding, which she said she would let me know by the end of April. Of course she did not let me know or give some money back and when I asked repeatedly, Jignasa did not like that, so then she falsely accused me of things with no proof and dropped me as a client because I wanted to know a simple answer considering I paid for the services. As a paying client I should have known who would be servicing my wedding. So this alone should tell you what kind of person Jignasa is. Also her staff is not professional, they schedule calls with you even though they know they will be traveling and they do not let the client know, instead they let the client wait around for a call thats never going to happen. KI is very unprofessional. 3) Jignasa not only dropped me 2 months before my wedding, she also kept all the money. As a business owner she could not provide a detailed invoice of her "services" yet claims she did so much work. I believe people should get paid for what is earned, did she deserve some money, yes, but not all of it. Instead she took from a family who works hard and she had no sense of remorse so that is what I found to be sickening. Unfortunately, this world is filled with people who do not have basic human values and morals. To those looking for a wedding planner, DO NOT HIRE JIGNASA! Texas has other great planners, but KI is not one of them! Do you research, you do not want to go through the hell that I had to go through.
