We hired Juste Hors D’Oeuvres to cater an office Christmas party at our home. Working with Marylyn was an absolute pleasure. She is kind, thoughtful, and has exceptional attention to detail. Marylyn provided valuable guidance throughout the party planning process, offering helpful ideas relating to the flow of our party and food selections. She was also very helpful in selecting the rentals we needed for the party.
Marylyn and her team were professional, organized, and incredibly attentive to our guests throughout the party. The food was outstanding, and we received numerous compliments from our guests. I was also pleasantly surprised and truly appreciative that, despite having a full team working in our kitchen, it was left spotless, as if no one had cooked there at all, making cleanup after the party much easier for my husband and me!
We highly recommend Marylyn and her team to anyone looking for a caterer. -

We truly cannot say enough good things about Marylyn and her incredible team. Our wedding was beyond anything we could have imagined; every detail was so thoughtfully handled, and the entire day was absolutely lovely from start to finish.
Marylyn and her team are true professionals and absolute experts in their craft. They took care of everything with such grace and ease, including some last-minute surprises. When unexpected rain rolled in, they managed it beautifully without missing a beat. I had forgotten to arrange for our cake to be decorated, and somehow, they made it happen at the last minute and it looked stunning! They even recommended a wonderful babysitter to look after the kids, which made a huge difference for us and our guests. She was so kind and attentive, and the kids were happy and well cared for the whole evening.
From the food (which was delicious!) to the decor and flow of the event, everything was just perfect. Marylyn and her team are the whole package: professional, warm, prepared for anything, and genuinely dedicated to making your day unforgettable. It was worth every penny, and I can’t speak more highly of the experience. Thank you for making our day so special! -

We knew immediately once we booked Juste Hors D’Oeuvres to cater my daughter’s wedding that we had made the right decision. Marilyn was warm and genuine in all of our meetings and interactions before the big day. The day of the wedding was amazing with Marilyn and her staff who were delightful, all zipping around getting things set up. Professional from beginning to end and I can’t say enough about how friendly and accommodating each of them were! Now for the food! It was superb! Appetizers, entrees and desserts and beautiful wedding cake were top notch and I’m still getting compliments from our guests on how delicious everything was. I couldn’t be more pleased with Marilyn and how perfectly she and her team executed everything. Service and all of the food and drinks were over the top. Marylyn was a pleasure to deal with. Very professional with great attention to detail. Her Company provided the catering service for a family reunion. We had a number of meetings prior to agree on a suitable menu. She listened to our ideas and also made alternative suggestions & guided us to the best possible options within our budget range.

The best of the best!!!!
Marylyn was absolutely fantastic.
My husband and I knew she was the one - the minute we spoke to her and we just can't say enough about how great she is!!
She spent a lot of time with us during the tasting to hash out a perfect timeline for the wedding and made sure we had all the right rentals for the venue.
She and her team handled every detail, from the amazing sliders to the delicious passed hors d’oeuvres.
Our guests couldn't stop talking about how great the food was.
Plus, Marylyn managed all the various food trucks so smoothly that everything ran like clockwork. Her attention to detail made our wedding day perfect. We’re so grateful for her dedication and hard work. Highly recommend! -

Unforgettable Food & the Friendliest Catering Team!
We are still dreaming about the food from our wedding, and it’s all thanks to Marylyn and her incredible team at Juste Hors D'oeuvres! The appetizers were such a hit—especially the crab cakes with chipotle crema, watermelon/manchego skewers, and fig and blue cheese flatbread. People couldn’t stop going back for seconds (and thirds!) But hands down, the star of the night was my favorite, the pumpkin lasagna! It was subtle and magnificent, our guests talked about it for days and my mother-in-law stopped to tell Marylyn too how much she enjoyed it!
Beyond the food, what truly made the experience so extraordinary was how incredibly friendly and accommodating Marylyn and her catering staff were the whole time. From day one, Marylyn went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, she is so responsive and welcoming. We didn't consider custom drink requests as early as we should have but they were so accommodating, they didn't miss a beat. Their energy was infectious, and the team’s attention to every detail made the night entirely perfect.
If you’re looking for a caterer who not only serves incredible dishes but also makes you feel like family, you absolutely need to book Marylyn at Juste Hors D'oeuvres. Her warmth and professionalism made all the difference, and we couldn’t imagine our day without her. Highly recommended!!! -

I wanted to share our experience with Juste Hors D'Oeuvres, whom we hired for my milestone birthday celebration. The caterer, Marilyn, was warm and accommodating person and helped us plan the event with ease. She was very detail-oriented, followed up with us regularly, and worked around our schedules. She also coordinated directly with the event venue on everything from facility requirements to equipment breakdown. The food was fresh, delicious, served on time, and at the right temperature. She is truly a marvelous chef and offered a wide variety of food selection.
We were impressed by how she treated our guests, especially the elderly and people with disabilities. She reached out to them individually and made sure they had food that suited their needs and preferences. They all felt very cared for and appreciated. I highly recommend Juste Hors D'Oeuvres for any occasion. They are professional, friendly, and affordable. You won't regret it.

Working with Marylyn was a joy and a relief, she knows what’s needed to create what you’re envisioning. How can I write a review that truly encompasses how absolutely amazing my wedding reception was!? Juste Hors D'Oeuvres and Much More recently catered my outdoor “garden-style” wedding of 80 guests, and I couldn’t dream of a more amazing experience working with Marylyn and her staff. Marylyn was more like a full-service event planner, as she took the time to get to know both my husband and I, as well as our full plan for our wedding day. She invited us into her home for a tasting, where she also took the time to get to know us, how we met, our families, and how we envisioned our wedding day to play out. Throughout the planning process, she worked with the company we planned rentals from, including the tents, tables, chairs, linens, appliances, etc., and she triple-checked all items to ensure every detail matched our vision for our wedding. She asked just about every question imaginable, and helped make sure we weren’t missing any important area/item. Her incredible organization, communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail aside (!!!), the food that was served on our wedding day was the true stand-out. Just wow! We chose five passed appetizers; roasted chicken and eggplant parmesan for the two mains; as well as a host of side dishes; and everything was absolutely delicious. My guests are still raving about how amazing everything tasted! By working with Marylyn, I felt such a calm in my heart, knowing that she would take care of everything and ensure our wedding reception was flawless. My husband and I were able to relax and really enjoy our special day. Marylyn and her team catered my baby shower and WOOOOW it was amazing! They did an amazing job customizing the menu to our needs (vegetarian forward, healthy vibes) and executed flawlessly day of! Marylyn at Juste Hors D'Oeurves was an incredible help in planning our wedding. They are more than just a caterer - they are truly a partner in planning your wedding! Marylyn went above and beyond to help us in a unique venue situation with a first-time venue - she spent a lot of time with us and with the venue coordinating all of the details. She was extremely communicative and responsive throughout the process. She created a menu that was perfect for us (I am gluten free, so she found ways to incorporate that for me!) I also really appreciated that Marylyn was conscious of our budget - she was great at recommending ways to save, while also calling out things we would definitely need given our venue. Juste Hors D'Oeurvres was simply fantastic. I threw a surprise party for my mother in her home. When they arrived, perfectly on time, all my stress went away. Fun and sweet and open, the staff generously and calmly set up the party and truly helped us make it feel like a PARTY. The food was AMAZING - everyone asked me about it all night. The way the staff made everyone feel comfortable and cared for, including my mother when she arrived and found all these people in my kitchen, was truly beautiful. The party went on without a hitch. Everything about our experience with Juste Hors D’Oeuvres was amazing. Let me tell you, they are so much more than just hors d’oeuvres! We had an extremely personalized experience for our wedding, down to a menu that was built from scratch to fit our budget’s needs and express who we are as a couple, to an individualized tasting with Marilyn that left us so excited for the final meal, to the day of, where Marylyn and her team were so on top of everything, and our guests wouldn’t stop raving about the food! We had a brunch style wedding, so when people are raving about smoked salmon and brioche french toast, I can’t imagine how divine a a full sit down dinner would taste! Just wrapped up our wedding two days ago and I am still glowing and beaming with happiness. It was such a special day, everything I imagined and better, and all of this was made possible by Marylyn and her team, who went above and beyond for my wife and I. Our venue turned out to be smaller than I thought, but that didn't stop Marylyn from doing the most. Did I mention this was a gay wedding, hosted by the brides who knew nothing of weddings? Marylyn was so respectful and catered exactly to our needs, everything from budget to schedule to even hosting responsibilities. The food was amazing (everybody raved about the duck breast that was on the menu), the setup went incredibly smooth (again, she worked with a small Brooklyn venue) and everything was beautiful. And even more the big day, she was so thorough with her communication and planning, I cannot thank Marylyn and her team enough. From the start of the planning process, Marylyn and Manny were wonderful. Marylyn was clear about her pricing and we went through our event and the menu. When we went for the tasting we were surprised at how good the food actually was and that sealed the deal.
I was nervous the day of the event because the wedding was held at a private inn and the entire bridal party was off-site when the caterers arrived but, thankfully, there was no need to be. Manny, his sous chef, the servers, and the bartender were all set up, cooking, and ready when we returned. The servers, Vic and Jill, were extremely professional, friendly, and helpful.
The food, like at the tasting, was amazing. Very well seasoned, fish and beef cooked perfectly and everything on the buffet hot.
I would use them at another event in a heartbeat and I cannot thank Marylyn, Manny, and their staff for delivering on exactly what they promised. -

Marylyn was incredibly helpful in the menu selection as well as planning for the rental needs for the event. On the evening of the rehearsal dinner, Marylyn and her team EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS in their preparation and service throughout the evening. I worked with Marylyn at Juste Hors D’Oeurvres to plan my husbands 50th birthday party. From the initial phone call, I knew the Marylyn understood my vision and from there she worked with me to create the perfect menu that reflected who we were, the vibe I was going for and she managed to stay within budget. Come party day, the team was amazing and the food was fantastic! I received so many compliments about the food (especially the sliders, tacos and Mac and cheese cups) as it far exceeded (even the highest of) expectations. When I wanted a unique dessert option Marylyn found me a Ben and Jerry’s Sundae cart and did all the arranging. Marylyn will be my caterer for all future events and I highly recommend her for any event you are throwing. Perfect Autumn Wedding in 2020
On October 17, 2020 Marylyn and the Juste D’Oeuvres team Catered my daughter’s Wedding. This was a most stressful time for us. Due to Covid and things changing weekly, we went from a venue with 278 guests to 70 guests in our backyard.
From our first phone call with Marylyn she put us at ease. She was so informative, compassionate, understanding and very detailed. She is one of the most organized women I have ever met.
The Wedding Day was perfect! Marylyn and her team of Chefs, Waitstaff and Bartenders were all so nice and attentive to all our guests. They were so professional and organized. My home was left in perfect condition.
The FOOD! From the Appetizers, Salad and Pasta course to the Main Entrée of which was Orange Glazed Salmon and Beef with a red wine reduction everything tasted amazing.
It was so great to see Marylyn’s attention to detail, from the appetizers to the plates that came out for dinner, it all looked so pretty. Everything came out with a small bundle of Autumn flowers, just perfect!
We look forward to you catering our other daughter's wedding! -

HIRE THEM - you will not regret it!
Marylyn and her team far exceeded our expectations. From the first call, Marylyn insisted I (the bride) be involved even though it was my mom who reached out. She wanted to fully understand my vision and objective and make sure nothing got lost in translation.
Marylyn went above and beyond to help me plan the meal and organize the rental equipment necessary to make the event a special day. It is important to note that we had never seen the space and planned this event solely off pictures on VRBO. Only someone with her experience and expertise could have executed an event so perfectly just off a photo.
There was a lot of following up, re-confirms, and check-ins to ensure it was exactly what we wanted. And it was. It was absolutely perfect.
The food they prepared for wedding was amazing - multiple guests commented that it was the best cooked steak they ever had at a wedding. Her team was particularly accommodating and sensitive to the social distancing protocols due to covid. I would highly recommend Chef Marylyn's Juste Hors D'oeuvres and Much More for any event. We hired Marylynn and her team for my daughter's backyard engagement party. During COVID, everything takes on a different shape than you had imagined. Marylynn worked closely with us to make it happen and run smoothly and safely. Everything went well and the guests really liked the food. Perfect choices for 30-year-olds. Their favorites were the Mac n cheese, flatbread with porcini mushrooms/cheese, and the lobster brioche. Desserts were great too. Manny, our chef, was excellent and is very personable. We got married September 14th 2019 and Marilyn and her staff truly went above and beyond to accommodate us on our day. Any questions we had, or unexpected surprises (as there always are), or last minute changes, were handled with grace and ease by Marilyn her entire time leading up to our day. She replied to emails and phone calls promptly and settled my irrational fears. She helped design our menu, and even though she was not there on our day, her staff made sure everything was taken care of. Our outdoor wedding turned into a mud bath with heavy rain and her staff was very professional and helped us even set up for that day, something they did not have to do, but still did without asking and with smiles.
We received many compliments from our guests about the bartender, Frank, and kind staff. Through the whole night the only thing that was forgotten were small water bottles for the tables, but once realized, it was handled with absolutely no problem.
I would definitely recommend the comfort of nerves and delicious food that Marilyn and her entire staff at Juste Hors D'oeuvres provided for us and our guests. If we have another even we will definitely contact them!Juste Hors D’Oeuvres and Much More!'s reply:

How do I even put into words how wonderful Marylyn and her entire team were. From the minute I began talking to Marylyn she was more than supportive of our vision as well as our budget and worked relentlessly in helping us achieve everything we could have possibly wanted. We worked together for over a year putting together the most incredible menu that my guests can't stop raving about. The passed hors d'oeuvres were UNBELIEVABLE I can't even put into words, the lamb meatballs...I scoffed down 5 in a row! Marylyn ensured both myself and my husband were well fed throughout the entire night by bringing us plates and checking in periodically throughout the night. The entire team were so organized, polite and efficient - we really hit the jackpot with each and every one of them! We do not have one complaint about the service, or the food - we were simply blown away by it all. I could not recommend Juste Hors Doeuvres anymore!! -

"I had contacted Juste Hors d'Oeuvres through Thumbtack and after interviewing numerous other caterers by email and phone, I chose Juste Hors d'Oeuvres because Marylyn, the owner, actually listened to my plan of a surprise wedding vow renewal ceremony for 40 people. She sent me a long list of choices for appetizers, salad, entree,and desserts allowed me to tailor the event to my needs and interests. Everyone, including my very fussy brother-in-law, raved over the food quality and taste there were also many very positive comments regarding the wait and serving staff. The facility was left clean and tidy. I will gladly use Juste Hors d'Oeuvres for our next event."Juste Hors D’Oeuvres and Much More!'s reply:

Marilyn was fantastic! The food was amazing!
Marilyn did an amazing job helping us throw a wedding for 150 people in our backyard. We had never hosted a party of this size and her knowledge and expertise went far beyond the fantastic food she served! Highly recommend her! -

Just Hors D'Oeuvres did an amazing brunch for my daughters engagement party. Marylyn takes care of every detail and oversees everything. The food was delicious- the pumpkin lasagna a MUST!

Marylyn and Juste Hors D'oeuvres recently catered our wedding. From the first contact right to the end of the wedding, Marylyn and her team were wonderful. Marylyn helped us with every detail of the wedding. Rentals, bartenders, staff, flowers... That was such a big help to have one point of contact. And the food...AMAZING!!! The guests raved about everything. My father said that it was the most tender filet mignon he ever had. And, my dad is the steak guy! We cannot thank the staff enough, especially Chef Manny, for their attentive, gracious service to us all. If you are looking for a caterer that delivers 100% every time, you cannot do better than Juste Hors D'Oeuvres!!!
