Julie was absolutely amazing to work with! (Especially during COVID). When I was originally looking for a wedding photographer, so many people didn’t even email me back. Julie was by far the most responsive which was very important to me. I never worry about not being able to get in touch with her and love following her work on her active social media accounts. Julie was extremely accommodating during the COVID shut down and made rescheduling my big ceremony to next year as easy as possible.
My husband and I decided to still elope this year. Julie was willing to wake up at 3 in the morning and adventure out to Mt Rainier at sunrise to capture our special day. She made me feel very comfortable while shooting and was super friendly and professional. Even though she had 3 elopements that weekend, she was still able to get me a sneak peak within a couple days! The pictures so far look AMAZING. I can’t wait to get the rest of them back and I’m looking forward to working with Julie again for my big ceremony next year.
On top of all that, Julie is not only a talented photographer, but a genuinely good person. I appreciate that she supports all love regardless of sexual orientation and people of all color. Long story short, Julie is the best, and I would definitely recommend her!

As a self-proclaimed anxious, easily overwhelmed bride, I cannot recommend her enough. From the moment we started working together, I could tell she brings a wealth of experience to every wedding and knows exactly what she's doing. I trusted her judgment completely and gave her full creative control to direct us throughout the day. Best decision I made! She took that responsibility and ran with it beautifully.
Whether you're a Type A bride who wants every detail planned out, or more like me - a little unsure, a little scattered, just wanting to soak in the day, but still expecting beautiful photos you'll actually want to hang on your wall, Julie will absolutely be your savior. Hire her. You won't regret it! -

My husband and I can’t be happier that we booked Julie at Sound & Sea Photography to be our wedding photographer. Leading up to our wedding, Julie was communicative and asked great questions to improve our experience and outcome. One the day of, she put us at ease with her kind and calm personality, and we knew we were in good hands. Neither of us are incredibly natural in front of a camera, but you can’t tell from her results! We are thrilled to have a collection of beautiful photos that represent the happiness of us, and our friends and family on our wedding day. We will treasure them for years to come. -

Julie Morgan from Sound & Sea Photography gave me the photo session of my dreams. Her expertise and attention to detail left me worry and anxiety free. Being from out of state, we were able to connect via phone and zoom. I gave her my vision and some details i wanted to incorporate and BOY DID SHE DELIVER!!!! She gave me plenty of site options to choose from, and all were exactly what i was looking for. We narrowed it down to distance and ease to locate since we were traveling with little ones. She considered everyone and everything. Her outlook and sense of direction really made the absolute difference. She took factors of the elements, snow, sun, shade, fog, light and gave us the most beautiful moments. Even capturing the little candid moments with the kids and my new husband were so heart warming. She saw what I didn't see. She positioned us in ways that were both flattering and fun! She had the best pricing but and the best accommodations. I would definitely recommend a thousand times! -

Sound and Sea Photography
Julie and Sophia, the dynamic duo from Sound & Sea Photography, exceeded our expectations. Julie's mastery in photography was evident as she focused on capturing every significant moment. Sophia, handling videography, brought a unique perspective to our memories.
Prior to our wedding, we scheduled an engagement photoshoot with Julie, which turned out to be a fantastic decision. It allowed my husband, who had never experienced a professional photoshoot, to get acquainted with Julie's style. She has a keen eye for backdrops and is able to swiftly capture perfect shots while ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable session.
Julie's efficiency was remarkable; she not only valued the quality of her work but also our time, allowing us ample time to cherish moments with our loved ones. Sophia was also present and let us know anytime any thing needed to be recaptured. Both were a pleasure to work with and communicated effectively to ensure our special day was captured. -

Wonderful PNW photo and videography wedding
My wife and I loved working with Julie and Sophia! Julie had fun with our shoots with us and really did a great job at capturing our natural moments. They also did an incredible job of keeping everyone on track with our timeline to keep things moving smoothly while still incorporating a great 'first' first look with my best man prior to the real thing. Julie provided great communication throughout the process and made a clear effort at getting to know the kind of couple we were so she could really capture the things that mattered to us. Sophia provided some awesome viedeography and went above and beyond to get some really wonderfult footage from up in a tree to make for a truly special wedding video! -

We met Julie when I went looking for a photographer at the last minute..ver last minute! (2 months prior to wedding). Although she was already booked..she was kind enough to work some magic and managed to get us in her schedule because ours was a "micro wedding". We wanted pictures of our pre wedding reception and then the ceremony the next day. She arrived promptly both days and took beautiful candid shots. Then worked with us to quickly take some portraits of various guests, family and friends. The photos came out beautiful and everyone commented on how easy going she is. Ours was a destination wedding in Seattle so I was concerned about finding the right person for our photos. So glad I found Julie! Amazing attention to detail!

I appreciated Julie's professionalism and timeliness in her communication both in the months leading up to our wedding and on the day itself. It really took the guesswork out of everything and allowed us to focus on having fun on our wedding day! The shots Julie and her second shooter, Antonio, took were just amazing and I was really impressed by how they were able to adapt to rapidly changing weather conditions (during our first look and bridal party photos, it was blazing hot and sunny one second, and then windy and rainy the next). They were ready to make adjustments on the go and the photos turned out beautiful. Sophia also made a very touching highlight video for us and our friends have commented as to how unique and beautiful it was. They are a great team and we are happy we got to work with them! -

Easy to work with!
Julie was great to work with. Super flexible and efficient. She kept in contact with preparing for the big day. Sending emails to ensure that she had all the information beforehand to help the day go smoothly. She also helped to wrangle all of my (very large) family to ensure that we had all of the family pics that we wanted. And she was pretty quick to get out pictures back to us. Our mini engagement session produced so many great photos also. The only thing I would have changed was the package that we purchased. We opted to not purchase the whole day or 8 hour package. In looking back at the photos, I realized that we missed some of the dancing photos that I would have liked due to the time package that we purchased. But that was all on us. Thanks again Julie!!

Julie and anyone she has brought along to our photo shoots have been absolutely amazing! Her photography is beautiful and she truly has an eye for the best shot. We flew to Washington for our engagement pictures and immediately wanted to book her for our wedding! We will definitely be using Sound & Sea photography for any other pictures I can think of in the future! We haven’t gotten all of our pictures back because our wedding was one week ago, but I’ve attached some of our engagement and some from the sneak peak of our wedding! -

Sound and Sea are Awesome
My wife and I got married last Summer. Julie and Sophia were absolutely phenomenal. They were a crucial part of the wedding planning. Julie not only introduced us to most of our other vendors, but also helped us coordinate the wedding ceremony. We initially hired our first 'day of coordinator' and had a extremely stressful experience where we were ghosted 3 weeks before the wedding. Julie really stepped up and found us an amazing 'day of coordinator' last minute. Julie and Sophia are very talented, warm, and professional. The photography and videography look incredible. I highly recommend Sound and Sea Photography! -

Excellent Photographer :)
My husband and I got married summer of 2021 and Julie was by far our best vendor! Photography was important for us and we had been doing our research for months-Julie was by far our favorite :) Not only is she a talented photographer but she is incredibly kind and calm in high-pressure situations (ie: planning a wedding during Covid and dealing with constant change). As a mixed race couple, we had a few multi-cultural events planned on our wedding day and Julie was incredibly supportive, adaptive, and culturally sensitive. We had two ceremonies/events packed into one day for a 10-11 hour day and Julie and her team remained energetic and positive throughout. About a month before our wedding, our wedding coordinator started going dark on us and Julie helped us through this incredibly stressful situation and connected us to another coordinator who was able to step-in last minute. Julie is incredibly resourceful and knows a lot of other vendors (she also connected me to my makeup/hair vendor). Additionally, we booked her daughter Sophia to do videography and I am so glad we did-our wedding video was incredibly unique and gave the viewer the feeling that they were watching a short film about our love story.
Hire this incredible team! Our wedding day would not have been the same without Sound and Sea Photography. Thank you so much Julie and Sophia! -

Julie captured our engagement, ceremony, and reception photos!! Although we had never taken professional photo before, we didn't worry at all because we had HER!!! She made all the sessions fun, enjoyable and memorable!! She suggested multiple poses and she was also willing to listen to whatever we wanted!! Our photos came out really beautiful!!! Absolute Perfection
Julie is absolutely amazing. She communicates well, is efficient and professional, and most importantly impeccably captures moments. She was able to be direct and herd my roaming family for group shots. I am not someone who is photogenic and always seem to be at the wrong angle, but somehow, Julie didn't take one bad photo of me. I didn't really notice her on the day of, but somehow, she was everywhere and got every shot and angle. I look at the photos daily, I even showed them to a coworker, and she was brought to tears. She's that good. Julie is a must hire if you want your wedding day perfectly captured. -

Julie is very professional and takes her work seriously. When we did an engagement session she made us feel comfortable and definitely got the best out of us. On our wedding day she was prompt and effective, getting a lot of photos in several scenes in a short amount of time. Due to Covid restrictions our wedding was on the small side and very light on coordination. Julie stepped up when we needed her to. She politely got us and our guests organized for photos, keeping us on schedule and getting great shots of our guests and the events of the ceremony. She knows what she's doing and it didn't matter that we were inexperienced. We greatly appreciate how she worked with us over the summer while restrictions were changing on a near weekly basis. To top it all off, we love her artistic, beautiful photographs! We can't imagine having a better experience with someone else. Julie is truly awesome. -

If I could give her one hundred stars, I would. We booked Julie about a year and a half before our wedding (our first vendor!) back in January of 2019. From the very first meeting, we knew that there was no other photog we'd want to capture our special day than her. Julie is warm, funny, and extremely organized and professional. Though I often hate being in pictures, Julie (and her extremely talented videographer / assistant, Sophia) are probably the only people in the world who can make me feel consistently beautiful in photo and film. She has a remarkable talent for capturing all the authenticity, joy, and emotion of a wedding day. Every time I look through my wedding photos, I feel like I'm right back on the mountain on the best day of my life.
Julie was a joy to work with during both our engagement shoot and our wedding-turned-elopement (#CovidCouplesClub). Like so many others in this crazy time, Julie has had to wear many hats (photog, honorary maid of honor, social worker, therapist, confidant, the list goes on...) and she did it with an abundance of grace and compassion.
I am so in awe of Julie and her heart and talents. You will be so thankful you booked her. She's a gift to all brides and grooms-to-be in the PNW area.

Julie has been an absolute professional the entire time we have been working together. Initially, she set up a meeting with my fiancé and me to learn more about us before agreeing to work together which I loved. It gave us the opportunity to get to know one another face-to-face.
Once we decided to move forward with working together, she was communicative and responsive to all of our questions. She offered guidance and recommendations to us when considering different aspects of our wedding.
We scheduled our engagement shoot with Julie and the weather was questionable. We kept in touch days, and even hours, leading up to our shoot to confirm our plans. We brought our dog along to include in our photos and Julie handled her so well, giving her treats to cooperate and literally took the leash when getting shots of just my fiancé and me. She was creative and we loved the direction she took. Once the photos came back we were in love! She was able to capture us (non-models) and our dog beautifully and we have been happily sharing with family and friends in anticipation of our big day.
When the COVID-19 situation became an immediate threat to our wedding plans, Julie was one of the first to reach out and check-in on my fiancé and me and was adamant to work with us on whatever we decided. Eventually we decided to postpone our wedding and she was flexible with us.
I cannot wait to have Julie capture our big day!

I have never felt more comfortable in front of a camera until meeting Julie. I felt a great connection with her right away when we had our first in-person meeting to discuss my wedding. She is extremely transparent about her photographing strengths and weakness - which was a big deal for me. She is confident about her strengths, can acknowledge what she'd like to work on, and will always be up for a challenge. Our wedding venue is all indoors, and right off the bat Julie explained that she's skilled with indoor shooting while a lot of other photographers may not be. I loved that confidence. Julie is seriously one of a kind and will make your vision come true through her photos. I basically spewed out gibberish of what I wanted mine to look like, and she DELIVERED. Thank you so much for being incredibly fun, flexible, and talented, Julie! -

Julie was great on multiple fronts. We met her while we were shopping for venue and she recommended the venue (Stimson-Green mansion) we eventually booked... and her style of photography, my wife's style / decor and venue made it a perfect combination. Very 20s (1920s!).
Back to Julie - she was flexible with our schedule and day of delays (multiple wedding party members had new babies). She did ensure we got all the pictures needed. Her style matched perfectly with our aesthetics. She captures the natural action vs. more posed - we had so many funny and emotional pictures from various moments of the day. The second photographer was friendly and great as well.
Julie shared some sneak peeks on Instagram and Facebook within a week or so, and got us the full set within 6-7 weeks. She included two sets: low size & resolution versions for sharing with others and a high resolution one for printing. We already printed a bunch (from Costco) including a canvas print - turned out great! -

We can't say enough wonderful things about Julie!!! We are from the Chicago area and had a Seattle Wedding at Snoqualmie Falls. Knowing that we weren't going to get an opportunity to meet with our photographer in person pre-wedding, we wanted to make sure we found someone whose work we loved and someone we also felt comfortable with. From the beginning, Julie felt like a friend - genuine, down-to-earth, so easy to talk and understood what we were looking for. Julie was so much more than just my wedding photographer! Not only was she punctual, respectful, and exceptionally talented, but she was a huge source of support throughout the entire process. Our wedding day did not go without hitch, but Julie quickly adapted to our shortened portrait window and still managed to capture all of our moments beautifully. After the wedding, she maintained constant communication about her progress with the pictures and even provided us with significantly more photos than we originally anticipated. Everyting we hoped for and more!!
We are from Texas but our wedding was on Bainbridge Island, WA . I contacted Julie and knew from that moment that she was the one. She was so responsive and took the time to explain things that we would have NEVER even thought of! We could not have asked for a better photographer/videographer!! Our day was captured beautifully and even since the wedding, Julie has been more than helpful. We can’t recommend her enough! Emotional photos for an amazing day
Julie was my wedding photographer in June of 2019. She was amazing. She worked with us on price and trying to get every picture that we wanted. She amazing on helping me pick out what pictures and angles we wanted but also trusted my thoughts on ideas for other pictures and places to take them. She was very punctual and even early to the time she said she was going to be there. The quality of the the content we received was higher than I was expecting and I loved how dramatic they were. Pictures was one of the only things I wanted/cared about when it came to the wedding. I was more than happy with what we received -
