Talented, professional and made me feel beautiful

I booked Julie Morgan and her team for my March 19th wedding. She was fantastic and does airbrush foundation, which is what I was looking for most in an H&M provider! Julie and her team did hair and make-up for my, seven (7) bridesmaids and my mother. Everyone looked beautiful and Julie/her team listened to everyone's vision, myself included. I did a trial beforehand with Julie, which is helpful for any bride. I also brought hair & make-up inspo. pics for Julie that I felt made the experience even more seamless. She listens to you, is very professional, and has a calming presence.

Thank you to Julie for making me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world! And thank you to Felix for making my bridesmaids look stunning with natural glam makeup.

Simply Amazing!

In addition to being extremely talented in both hair and make-up, Julie is such a sweetheart and truly kind person. She listened to my vision during our hair and make-up trial and blew me away with her beautiful work! On the day of my wedding she did all of my bridesmaids hair beautifully, and it truly felt like she was one of the girls keeping me calm and happy! She went above and beyond to make the day magical and I absolutely loved my final look-highly recommend Julie Morgan for your wedding or special occasion look!

Amazing experience working with Julie!

Julie did my wedding hair and makeup along with my mother's, mother-in-law's, and six bridesmaids - with the help of her two assistants. I loved Julie from the first time I met her during my hair and makeup trial. She is extremely talented, listens to exactly what your vision is and is so easy to talk to. I had two very different wedding ceremonies in the same day and Julie was so flexible. She was promptly set up in the first location in the early morning and was there when we got to the second location ready to go on touch-ups and my second look. Julie and her assistants were incredible at giving everyone the looks that they wanted. She even did a quick braid for my flower girl! I could not recommend Julie more, I felt beautiful on my wedding day and a big part of that is due to Julie's amazing talent.

Wonderful!

Julie is not only talented but a pleasure to be around! We made a couple changes from the trial on the day of and everything turned out beautifully. The other stylists she brought for my bridal party were also excellent and were happy to make a couple of last minute changes to make sure that everyone felt their best.

I am SO thankful I found Julie for my Santa Barbara wedding! She recently moved from Napa back to Santa Barbara, and I caught her at just the right time for my June wedding! I had a couple of rough trials, and I was struggling to find someone who could really work with my naturally curly hair and make it into something very natural - but still glamorous - for my wedding day. Julie nailed it! She took the time to really figure out what I wanted and has SO much experience that was very apparent during my trial. She made me into the absolute best version of myself while maintaining a very fresh and natural look. I did not look like a cartoon version of myself at all. On the day of the wedding, she brought in a team to help with my girls' hair and they did some of the prettiest up and down do's I've ever seen. She also stayed on schedule and was able to do incredible makeup on all of my bridal party as well as the mother of the bride and groom. She was worth every penny! I felt amazing on my wedding day and my hair held up despite the wind at my outdoor ceremony. People were commenting on how beautiful my hair was all day - and the photos look incredible. I couldn't be happier with Julie, and it doesn't hurt that she's one of the sweetest people I met during the planning process either! She truly loves what she does and is so talented. You will look amazing on your big day if you go with Julie!

Julie is absolutely the most amazing person to work with. She truly cares about you and takes her time to make sure everything is perfect. I saw Julie's website on weddingwire after I decided to go for the best hair and makeup artist I could find (the pictures were so expensive and I had nightmares of looking tired and lined in otherwise perfect photographs). Then I chatted with her on the phone for 20 minutes and I wanted to book her because she seemed so fun to have around on my wedding day. One of the best decisions we made for the wedding - I looked gorgeous and she gave me the complexion of a 21 year old. My bridesmaids had all decided to do their own makeup ... and then we had a little extra time and they swooped on Julie's offer to make them up as well. I think she did all of them in less than an hour and they looked amazing. She is an incredible artist and wonderful person, and I can't wait to book her again when my sister ties the knot!

Julie Morgan is a true artist! I have been grateful to have worked with incredible make up artist all over the country in the modeling & pageant industries. I don't quite know how to articulate how amazing Julie is at what she does. From the first time I met her, I knew I was in good hands. She listened to me when I expressed my anxiety about how I didn't want to look "too made up" . She is kind, patient, talented, calm, and made me look and feel better than I thought possible. Julie Morgan was EXCELLENT! I was thrilled with her work as was my entire bridal party, mother, and aunt to whom she attended as well. Julie was a consummate professional and she really went above and beyond to make sure that my wedding makeup, hair, and veil looked absolutely perfect in the ceremony and in every photo. She was also a joy to work with. My whole family loved her! The gorgeous and unique hair style she created for me was a work of art. Julie was amazing, every single girl that had their make-up done by Julie looked absolutely stunning, myself (the bride) included. I had done some trials with other vendors and just had really disappointing results. I found Julie on weddingwire and read about her background, experience, looked at her portfolio and was flabbergasted at how perfect every bride and model looked. It was exactly what I wanted. Doing a make-up trial would have been ideal, but I didn't want to spend the money on doing my make-up twice and to be honest I didn't have to. I explained exactly what I was looking for and it was very apparent she could handle any face/eye/lip/etc. shape. Julie was also very professional and prompt. Hiring her made me feel so relaxed and reassured that we would all look beautiful on my wedding day.

Thank goodness for Julie! Planning a destination wedding is tough, but thankfully I never had to worry about feeling beautiful and perfect on me wedding day thanks to Julie and her team. I live in Chicago, my family is in Dallas and got married in Sonoma, so it was definitely a balancing act, but so worth it. I received numerous compliments on the big day on how gorgeous my hair and makeup was and how amazing the rest of the bridal party looked. Seriously, if you are a bride in NorCal and want a true hair and makeup extraordinaire, Julie is a one stop shop. Highly recommend!

Julie and her team are amazing! She is extremely professional, calm and has an amazing talent. She is very responsive and on time. She and her team did the hair and makeup for 6 of my bridesmaids, my mom, the groom's mom and the ring bearer. Hair extensions, eyelashes...she is capable of doing it all. Each of my bridesmaids loved what Julie and her team did and commented on how talented they were (and how great it would be to take them all home with us)! Everyone looked natural yet perfectly made-up for pictures. Julie went as far as giving me a makeup kit for touch-ups for the day as well as a travel bag with small toiletries and other items that may be needed. We can't say enough about them - do not hesitate to call her, you will not be disappointed!

Don't even think about using anyone else for your bridal day hair and makeup! Julie is a miracle worker! She was more expensive than some of the others but really makes you look even more beautiful than you can imagine for your big day! Plus, she has such a great disposition and knows how to calm your nerves. I was SO HAPPY I spent the extra money. I LOVED Julie.

I reached out to Julie to inquire about having her do my hair/makeup for my wedding in Carmel this September, however, to my dismay, she was already booked! But even after she knew we would be unable to work together, she willingly offered her industry insights and professional opinion, ultimately helping me to evaluate each of my other hair/makeup options. She was kind, enthusiastic and the epitome of a true professional. How many people do you know who would offer to help you even though they aren't getting anything out of it? While I am so bummed that we're unable to work together for my wedding, she has helped eliminate SO much stress from that portion of my planning, I could only imagine how amazing she would be to work with as a vendor. I would and will recommend her to anyone/everyone I know!

Julie did my hair and make up for my wedding. She made me look as beautiful as I have ever been in my entire life. I was coming from out of state so was not able to do a trial. She listened carefully to what I wanted and looked at the pictures I had brought with me. She was able to create my vision and make me look even better than I thought I could look. Julie Morgan is incredible! I asked for very natural look with my make-up for my wedding day and she 100% delivered. She also did my mom's make-up and made her look absolutely stunning. From ages 29 to 60, she is able to accommodate any age and style you are looking for. She also did our hair (which turned out perfect) so it was very convenient to have one artist work on your overall look. She is also a joy to be around and has a great energy about her. Where do I even begin?
Simply put, Julie is absolutely amazing in every way possible!!!
She is so wonderful to work with and her hair and makeup applications were absolutely perfect and breathtaking. What I also so much appreciated is the manner in which Julie works - she brings so many years of experience and wisdom and creates such a calming, beautiful environment as she is working. We shared so many laughs and had so much more fun than I imagined possible. I was so happy that I selected the option to have her stay and do touch ups after the ceremony ... mostly because I I felt that after just a few short hours with her, that she is someone I would've invited to the wedding as a friend. Finding someone to do your hair and make-up for any event, especially your wedding day can be nothing short of stressful. Furthermore, trying to find the “perfect” hair and make-up style, amongst the hundreds of looks there are to choose from, can be incredibly overwhelming.

When I accidently came across Julie’s website, I knew at first glance I wanted to hire her! The pictures on her website depict classic, natural allure; similar to the” look” I wanted on my wedding day. Moreover meeting and working with Julie during trials and on my wedding day, was even more magnificent than I could imagine. From the moment I met Julie I connected with her on several levels..

Hiring Julie Morgan was the best decision I made for my wedding. She is amazing and incredibly talented beyond words. Not to mention she has a compassionate, comforting energy that put me and my entire wedding party at ease the day of the wedding.

Her work was unlike any other I had experienced before. As an example, when Julie applies make-up, she accentuates your most beautiful features, in a natural not over-done way. Because of Julie I have never looked or felt more beautiful than on my wedding day! Simply put, she is among the BEST in the industry!

What a fabulous job you and your team did for myself and for the bridal party this past weekend! I can't even tell you how many compliments we all received, several times I had guests come up to me and say that my mother looked like she was just glowing and how natural and effortless the whole bridal party appeared to be. The makeup you did was flawless. You can tell that you are very attuned to each individual's character and appearance and do not just apply the same techniques over and over again for each of your clients. You listened to each and every one of our requests and handled them with ease. And the hair was absolutely beautiful! I think we all arrived at the wedding feeling like the models and movie stars you compared us to. She was absolutely amazing! Along with doing my hair and make-up, she advised me on my skincare, hair care, and health. She gave me tips on how to relax during the photo sessions, brought an "emergency kit" with samples of everything she used on my face as well as other little goodies to have during the wedding/ceremony. Julie did my hair and makeup for my wedding in St. Helena on July 25th, 2013. From the moment I connected with Julie through email she was the epitome of professionalism and quality - responding to my emails and questions quickly and thoroughly. On the day of my wedding Julie showed up right on time and began to work her magic.

You always imagine how you'll look on your wedding day -- you picture it like the movies depict -- but there always lies this sense of uncertainty: "Will I really look that beautiful? She then moved on to my mother, who's makeup she did free of charge, which was an amazing and special gift to receive. Then, came my hair and makeup. Julie took her time... listening to my concerns and feedback... and the result was a bridal glow like you see in the movies. After we were finished, Julie presented me with the most thoughtful "bridal care package" which included lip gloss, a mini deodorant and hair spray, bobby pins, facial shine powder (which I still use because it's an amazing product) and more. She packed up and swiftly left the room, not realizing that EVERYONE at the wedding was talking about how beautiful we all looked.

Her prices are very reasonable and she is without a doubt one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day.

I found Julie Morgan via an on-line search for hair and make-up professionals in Northern California for our destination wedding in Wine Country. Julie has an impressive resume and website of amazing photos of her work and I called her immediately to "meet". It was love at first talk! Julie was professional and knowledgable and we had an instant rapport. I sent her a photo of me (we did not have a wedding party) and pictures of styles that I liked and we made the deal. We didn't actually meet until the day of the wedding - yes that's right, I didn't do a trial! And...my hair and make-up were fabulous! Julie has a calm and warm presence that was so welcome on the morning of my wedding. My hair was a bit above shoulder-length, fine and curly and she suggested my getting clip-in hair extensions to help create the romantic up-do I wanted and they worked so well! Julie was able to incorporate the extensions in my hair seamlessly and you could not tell in person or in photos that I had them in place! My make-up? Flawless. She created the soft, natural look I wanted and gave me a touch-up after our outdoor ceremony and a kit to keep me looking perfect through-out the night. I would highly recommend Julie Morgan to anyone who needs a professional for a wedding, photo shoot or special event - she's the absolute best!

Julie did my hair and makeup for my September wedding in Carmel Valley, CA and I can't say enough about how fantastic Julie is to work with. From our first meeting at my trial to the wedding day itself she always exuded a kind and caring spirit. She was easy to talk to and made me feel at ease despite the nerves I was experiencing on the big day. More importantly though, Julie is absolutely amazing at what she does! I had told her that I wanted to look natural and not overdone but still achieve a more beautiful and dramatic look than the normal me. She went above and beyond my expectations and made me feel incredible. She managed to curl my hair in way that looked natural ("no prom hair" she is fond of saying) and it stayed in tact and looked great throughout the night even after getting crazy on the dance floor and wearing several different hats in the photo booth. My makeup also looked flawless and made me feel gorgeous without looking caked-on or overdone in any way. I honestly don't know how she does it! Julie also went beyond the call of duty by staying till after my ceremony to help touch me up after shedding a few tears. She even provided me with a useful touch up kit to use throughout the rest of the evening including the lipstick that she used and anti-shine powder (plus a lot of other emergency supplies that came in handy.) I would highly recommend her to any brides who want to look and feel their best on their special day! You will not be disappointed! I can only hope I have some sort of special event to attend in the future so I can utilize her services again. Thank you Julie!

I was recently married this January in Sonoma. Julie was fantastic! Julie did a great job on my hair and makeup. I was 100% satisfied with the results. Throughout the evening, I continuously received compliments on my hair and makeup. I can definitely say that I felt beautiful and confident on my wedding day. I didn’t look overdone or fake, but a more beautiful, natural and elegant version of myself. Julie is very professional and throughout the entire process she was very prompt with getting back to me regarding questions or concerns. The Most Wonderful, TALENTED, Hair & Make-up Artist in the entire Industry! I have never felt& looked more beautiful as I did- I owe it all to you. You are AMAZINGLY GIFED!

We had recently eloped to CA Wine Country. The way we looked & photographed was the most important factor as everyone back home would have only photographs to visualize our perfect day. A few days prior the wedding day, I had an allergic reaction on my face due to a beauty treatment. My face was a mess- red, bumpy, raw & flaky. It was mortifying. The morning arrived and Julie showed up early with her Suitcase of Goods! I knew Julie was kind and easy to talk with just from our phone conversations & emails but when I met her, I just fell in love.
She is so warm & kind. She was so in-tuned to how I was feeling with my face a mess-.. but She instantly reassured me that I was beautiful and would be more so once was done. She was confident but gentle and put me at ease instantly. About two hours later of work and fabulous conversations, I looked in the mirror and shed my only tears of the day.
I took a double-take followed by many more. I looked like a Model. My skin was milky & Glowing---Not a sign of any imperfections and not even a trace of visible make-up. I looked like I woke up with perfect skin. My green eyes "popped"- the make-up technique enhanced the shape and color. And those lashes That is all you see was my bright green eyes-- All of my features naturally enhanced and the best part--So natural My Hair- Long with perfectly curled extensions so natural no-one would ever guess my hair is shoulder-length and straight. I was absolutely floored. From the moment I looked at myself, I would have never imagined that I could look the way I did. All I could do that morning was Hug Poor Julie to Death!
When my hubby saw me for the first time-he was speechless! He was Genuinely Stunned---and that was priceless.

Julie did my hair and makeup for our October wedding in St. Helena. I also had a trial run with her the month before the wedding. During the trial run, she was very patient and showed me different options for the hair and makeup look that I wanted. On the day of the wedding, Julie did an amazing job. I have never felt so beautiful! Her calm and sweet demeanor kept my nerves at bay while getting ready. She also provided a touch up kit filled with useful items like powder, deodorant, lip gloss, etc.

I was hesitant to spend so much on wedding hair and makeup but I'm very happy that I did. Book Julie for your wedding....you won't regret it :)

Julie is by far one of the best decisions I made for my wedding! It was one of the vendors I spent a lot of time looking for, and I found Julie listed in a wedding on SMP she had done at my venue - big bonus, since I knew right away she would travel there which is something I really wanted. I really liked her website and contacted her via email to set up a trial. I loved her energy and demeanor the moment I sat down in the chair - and all I had to say was "retro curls" and she totally knew what I wanted! I loved that she took pictures and emailed them to me afterwards - and was totally open to my suggestions for a couple of changes I was going to want to make on my wedding day.

On the day of my wedding, Julie and her team of 2 assistants showed up early and ready - I had 8 bridesmaids getting hair and make-up, and the moms, plus myself - that's a lot of work and they finished early! :) All of my bridesmaids looked stunning - and my mom and mother-in-law looked so beautiful too - it was amazing to watch and take in, it made my wedding day so fun to watch all of them get treated. Julie did a PERFECT job on my hair and make-up - I honestly have never felt more beautiful than I did that day - and what bride doesn't want that?! Julie did my hair and makeup for my wedding and I cannot say enough good things about her. I am a pretty picky person but I was thrilled with the final result and I continue to get compliments from people who see my wedding photos. In addition to the execution, Julie was also my voice of calm throughout the day (and days leading up to the wedding). Weddings can be stressful and feel rushed with lots of people pulling you in different directions and Julie just made me feel relaxed and at ease throughout everything. Plus she always listened to me if there was a small change I wanted to make to my hair or tweak something small. She never got annoyed with me and helped make small adjustments right up until the final minute just to make sure everything was perfect - which it was.

I had a vision of what I hoped to look like and she not only understood exactly what I wanted, but she took it from there and created what made me gasp in pure delight when I looked in the mirror. She has top notch makeup and put me at ease immediately. Julie also replicated a cell phone image of an amazing hairstyle for my teen daughter within literally minutes and it was a complicated and gorgeous twisting type of design/braid...just stunning. My other goal was to have my twin sister resemble me as much as possible on my wedding day for sentimental reasons including the fact that she had recovered from a very serious illness a few years prior. We were beaming the entire day. My husband was so excited with my wedding day hair and makeup that he often asks me to do try and replicate that look. Julie was exemplary in every way as a vendor. I connected with her via the Internet and although we didn't get a chance to meet in person until two months before my wedding, I already felt like we had a lovely repoire. Julie was recommended to us by our photographer, Amber Medley, who said she loved shooting Julie's brides. Hiring Julie Morgan for my wedding was one of the best things I did. She is very talented and on top of that she is a very calming, nurturing person. She is a mom and an animal lover. I just felt very calm around her and I had absolutely no worries about how my hair and make-up would turn out.

I felt like a movie star at my trial. Plus, her make-up is wonderful. It does not feel heavy or rub off on everything. I have very sensitive skin and had no problems. After the trial, my then fiance begged me not to remove the make-up. I knew right away she was the one. I tried 5 different make-up artists. Noone even came close.

I hired her for the whole day and night. I just thought it was crazy not to. You want to look beautiful for the whole night, not just the beginning. It was perfect, she was there to touch up me, my girls and the mothers for the entire event.

She was deligtful and comforting. A welcoming and smiling face on my big day. She helped everything flow smoothly. She helped calm down all the craziness and drama of a normal wedding. I think she may be a therapist on the side. Just kidding, but she was truly wonderful to all my guests that interacted with her. There was always someone in the bridal room with her getting make-up or advice.
I love Julie Morgan and can't wait until I need my make-up done again. If you choose Julie, you will not be disappointed. She is worth every penny. She is a truly lovely and talented person. Here is a big hug to you Julie, sorry it took me so long.

Julie is the perfect choice to do your wedding day hair and make up. She was friendly, on time, warm, and has wonderful talent, creativity, experience and skill. One thing I learned on my wedding day was that no matter how organized you think you are, things pop up, so it is best to surround yourself with people who are good at managing the unexpected and unplanned. I didn't do a trial before my wedding, nor did I prepare with a magazine picture, so when halfway through my hairstyle,(which was beautiful as it was) I decided maybe it wasn't "me", Julie calmly, sweetly, open-mindedly made adjustments until I felt secure. Looking back, I may have just been feeling nervous, and either hairstyle wouldv'e been gorgeous, but the key is that Julie remained unruffled and sweet, and I was very happy with the final product. She was also kind and flexible when my mother decided about an hour before Go-time that she wanted her eyes done (a service not previously discussed or planned for with Julie). Julie was great. She did both the hair and makeup for all my bridal party and myself for our October 2010 wedding. She is very responsive and professional. I recommend doing a trail-I did one and was able to tell her what I would like different. She was able to do exactly what I wanted the day of. She really listens to you and works her hardest to make sure you are happy. Thank you Julie for making us all look beautiful!

Wow! Julie is not only kind and easy to work with, but she does a fantastic job with hair and makeup. My photographs are beautiful because she kept me looking natural, but elegant. I bought some of her products as well because I loved them and would recommend her to anyone who wants to look amazing on her wedding day!

Julie is the absolute BEST!! I would recommend her to any bride. She recently did my hair and makeup for my wedding. It was perfect! She has the vision and talent to know what will look best and she made me look natural and elegant. She listened to my ideas and managed to make me look exactly how I envisioned but BETTER!

Julie also did hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and they were all thrilled with their "looks." Again, Julie showed her talent for knowing how to accentuate each individual's beauty. She used makeup colors that complimented each girl's natural coloring. And her updo's were amazing! She made each girl look unique, incorporating their requests (such as adding a front braid for a boho-chic look), while also working quickly to get us all done in time for pictures. One of my friends commented that she will NEVER see her hair look this good ever again!

Most importantly, Julie remained calm throughout the day and she helped me to feel calm and confident. There was no problem or request that Julie couldn't handle with a smile and a reassuring word...so important on your wedding day!

Julie's rate was less than others of comparable talent with whom I did trials. She included a very useful "touch up" kit on the day-of, which came in handy throughout the night. Not only did Julie offer the best deal, but I felt that she was the kindest and most professional makeup artist and she really took the time to make sure that I was completely happy with her work.

Julie is an incredible make-up artist and hair designer in addition to being a wonderful person. She was truly a joy to work with on my wedding day, and made me feel so relaxed and pampered. THe results were so naturally beautiful. Everyone she worked on in my wedding looked like a movie-star, including myself! She uses the best quality make-up that gives amazing results. I first spotted Julie on her website (www.photomakeupartist.com). Though I recognized she did beautiful work (hair and make-up), I thought she was a little out of my price range. So, I tried a couple of other people, but was not as pleased with the results. They were professional and did a nice job, but it wasn't anything spectacular...and what girl doesn't want to look spectacular on her wedding day?! So I decided not to mess around anymore and called Julie. She was very friendly over the phone, knew exactly the kind of look I wanted, and put me at ease instantly..in fact we ended up finishing each other sentences! :-) She was soooo easy to work with and answered my emails quickly.

Julie ended up doing 1 bridesmaids hair, 2 bridesmaids hair and make-up, my hair and make-up, and my Mom's hair and make-up. Everybody looked AMAZING!! And she did all of this in 6 hours!! I must admit I did get a little nervous about the time toward the end. We ended up running over only 10 minutes. She never made anyone feel rushed or not important, and never appeared nervous or anxious (about the time).My hair and make-up far exceeding my expectations.

We received soooo many compliments at the wedding!! Julie fit my style perfectly. If you want something timeless and elegant Julie is your gal. Her looks are soft yet sophisticated, neat yet fresh. I really can't say enough about Julie. She is a true professional, and a true artist!!!

Julie was very professional, efficient and friendly. She was on site and did hair and make-up for for five people. I told her what I had in mind for my hairstyle as a bridesmaid and she made it happen. It was perfect and beyond what I had imagined! My hair looked lovely and I recieved numerous compliments throughout the day. What amazed me was that my hair was done at 8:00 a.m. and lasted ALL DAY with little to no touch-up. The birdes hairstyle was beautiful and held up as well. I would definitely recommend Julie for your special day/event.

I used Julie for both my engagement photos and wedding. They job she did left me feeling confident and beautiful on both occasions. She was incredibly easy to work with, and stayed totally calm on the day of the wedding. Between my eight bridesmaids, parents, grandparents, in-laws who dropped by, and additional friends and family who stopped by while I was getting ready, it needless to say was pretty chaotic. Julie helped keep me focused and calm. I have heard from countless people that I have never looked more beautiful!

I planned girls night with my bridesmaids after I did my hair and makeup test. My best friend was getting married three weeks before me, but had already booked different hair and makeup people. She was so impressed with the job that Julie had done, that she forfeited her deposits and worked with Julie. In addition to my best friend, I referred her to another friend who used her and was incredibly happy as well.

I was so happy with the end product that I would hire Julie even if she was double what she charges, plus the touch-up kit is fun and incredibly useful gift.

I�ve read nothing but rave reviews about Julie, and I totally concur. She does a makeup trial before the ceremony where you can discuss what you want, takes pictures, and makes recommendations. She spends a lot of time with you to make sure you are happy with the results. She is great at doing very natural looking make-up too. She�s a calming influence on a hectic day. She did hair and makeup for my entire bridal party and my mother and MIL, and everyone was happy and looked gorgeous!

Julie was amazing! I had a consultation with her weeks before my wedding and it went beautifully- very excited and happy with the results. On my wedding day she was on-time, peaceful, calming, and there were no surprises. She even touched up my sister's hair last mintue which was not planned, but she was so generous and made her feel beautiful too! My make-up stayed on all day, and most importantly looked like "me". My hair is naturally curly, so she added more curls and styled to the side and put in place my crown and vail. She knew exactly what to do and how it would stay up all day. I know there is so much to spend on the wedding, but it is important to find someone like Julie to take the stress away as she takes care of all of your hair and makeup needs. Julie was absolutely outstanding. She came to the Flood Mansion to do my hair and makeup and my friend's as well. Julie as fun and very creative in getting things done. I brought hair extensions that she ended up having to dye on the spot and she improvised and did the dye job without even the usual sink, and equipment that was not available. I think this says a lot about her. She is willing to go extra lengths to make things perfect for you. She's very skillful. I showed her a photo of what I wanted, and she duplicated the hair style exactly as the photo and it came out perfect. I was also very pleased with the makeup. It was just right. Not too heavy and she made me look so nice! Same for my friend. We still receive compliments to this day about our hair and makeup that day. Julie also provided touch up makeup for us to take with us so that we can refresh our lipstick, etc. I would highly recommend Julie to anyone needing hair and makeup for a very special event or wedding.

Really liked Julie and her work! She did a great job getting me ready for my wedding. We hadn't met before, but I trusted her from seeing her portfolio. She did exactly what I wanted and took her time to make sure I felt comfortable with everything. My girlfriends still bring up how great my hair and makeup were at my wedding. Her prices are steep... but its worth the peace of mind. Julie is also a calm and gentle person- which is a nice energy to have around on your wedding day!

I met Julie at my friend's wedding and immediately knew that when/if my big day ever came I wanted to hire Julie for her service. Julie not only did my hair and makeup exactly how I wanted, but she did the same for my seven bridesmaids and mother.

The only issue that day we had was timing and some of the bridesmaids had to start on their own makeup, but other than that the day went beautifully!

Julie is a kind person who does wonderful hair & makeup design. She is interested in you beyond your hair & makeup, taking time to know more about you and your interests.

She stays calm amidst all the wedding day activity. Julie takes care of small details that make a big difference, such as bringing straws to help you drink plenty of water without smearing your lip gloss! I was concerned about the costs, but liked her work from the test run and decided to go for it.

I made the investment because I wanted a minimal makeup look and she delivered! Throughout, she was very responsive. I recommend Julie to anyone seeking a natural look of simple elegance for hair and makeup.

Great experience overall! Linda did a wonderful job with my bridal makeup. Nancy did all of my bridesmaids and mother's hair- she was fast, and did great work. Elena and Linda did makeup for five of my bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and mother in law. I was really impressed! Despite a scheduling conflict in the beginning, Julie worked it out so that Linda, Nancy, and Elena could assist us. I was really happy with how everyone looked and felt after their services- I would highly recommend!

Julie did an amazing job at making me look my best for my wedding day! I gave her a couple of photos of the elaborate updo that I wanted, and she created something even better on me than the photos. Her detail work is phenomenal. My hair and makeup stayed perfect all day and evening, without needing any touchups. I loved seeing the photos of our day- and loved my hair and makeup even more after seeing them in all of the photos. To add to it all, Julie is a total professional, and an artist- and a real class act as well!

Julie did such an amazing job on my make-up and hair for my wedding! My make-up was amazing but still natural looking, not caked on like you sometimes see. She did a fabulous job on my hair, which wasn't very long and is thin but she somehow gave me an elegant looking french twist- she is a miracle worker!

On top of that, she is very sweet and easy going. Definitely a good person to have around you on your wedding day, she helped to keep the mood calm and fun.

Julie's work is amazing!! If you want an elegant natural look for your wedding or any occasion for that matter, you must hire Julie! She works wonders with hair AND make-up as well! Julie is a brilliant makeup artist. Having worked as one myself for almost a decade, it was one of the hardest vendors to book and also one of the last. From the first phone call Julie completely put me at ease and I knew I was in the hands of a professional.

Even with 8 people in the wedding party she and her assistant managed to pull off hair (each girl had a braid incorporated which was a neat touch) and makeup for everyone and make my makeup prettier than I have ever looked by my own hand. The hair looked great as well, and it can be very difficult when putting it up, so I was thoroughly impressed.

One of the best parts as well was how sweet and calming she was, it was nice to have her around during that special morning. I would definitely recommend.

Julie was wonderful!!! Patient, calming, client oriented, and so nice! She did my hair and make-up and it was great. I would hire her for other special events! She personally went out to get flowers for my hair because my flowers just didn't work at the last minute. She gave me a lipgloss for touch ups. She is not the least expensive out there but you are paying for quality. I only gave her a 4 on value because I never spend money on hair or makeup but it was my wedding so I was glad to splurge. You won't regret hiring her!

Julie did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and I was really happy with the results! She did both my sister and I.
Pros:
* Hair & makeup! Her style is naturally beautiful, so you look like an enhanced version of yourself. I was really happy that it looked so natural, I didn't feel all made up, but I looked much better than I normally do :) She suggested hair extensions which I loved, and did a beautiful updo that lasted until brunch the next morning.
* Professionalism: Julie has been in the business for something like 20-30 years, and she knows what she is doing. She has extensive books of photos to look through, tons of equipment, and she would readily adjust what she was doing based on feedback. I trusted her completely.
* Personality: Julie is a great person - she is kind, calm, and interesting to talk with. This is the person you are spending 4 hours with before your wedding, so you want good energy! Julie put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. She also noticed when the stress kicked in an hour or two before the ceremony, and she called to one of my friends to bring over the "emergency champagne" that Julie had brought with her from her bridal kit! That calmed me right down, and I felt like I was in good hands.
Cons
* Running over time - in both my trial and on the wedding day, Julie ran over time by quite a bit. On the wedding day we had scheduled 11:30-3:00 for my sister and I, and at 2:40 she was just starting my makeup. The makeup took an hour, so we finished 40 min late at 3:40. This was a bummer because it really cut into the time for getting dressed and doing pre-wedding photos. The same thing happened at the trial - I had scheduled my engagement photo shoot for right after the trial, and when it ran over we were late for the photo shoot. I don't think this should stop you from choosing Julie though, she is great - I'd just suggest: 1) building buffer time into schedule, and 2) keeping track of time yourself throughout the day

Julie was an absolute delight to work with, and she is an exceptionally talented hair designer. After having two trial runs with someone else who couldn't get my aesthetic even after looking at photos, I was without a hair stylist a month before my wedding. I found Julie online, and her website was full of photos of styles that were perfect for me -- unique styles that showed her creativity and versatility. Fortunately for me, she was available on my wedding day. She was extremely responsive, getting back to me quickly and offering me several scheduling options for the trial run. And did I mention how sweet and pleasant she is? At the trial run, we tried out several possibilities, which helped me to be certain we'd found the perfect style to complement my face, dress, and accessories. The day of, she and her assistant were calm and organized, and Julie gave me lots of good advice that proved invaluable. Although her prices may be a bit higher than other stylists', she is a true artist and worth every penny! You won't regret having Julie do your hair. (I'm sure she's equally talented with makeup, but I had someone else do mine because I had already booked her a few weeks earlier.)
