    Julia is terrific!

    Julia is fab! This review has two purposes: 1) to encourage those on the fence about hiring a planner to do so, and 2) to suggest that you put Julia Winters Events and Floral Design at the top of your list. We hired Julia for “month-of” planning and for florals for my daughter's and son-in-law’s recent wedding in Dallas. I (MOB) was several states away. When we met with Julia for the first time many months ago, my daughter noted how calm she was. “Calm” is not a word that describes either my daughter or me, so we knew Julia would be the right fit for a day when many things can ratchet up the stress. Julia definitely delivered! Happily, in large part BECAUSE we had Julia on our side, there were only minor issues that arose the day of the wedding. But, in the weeks leading up the event, there were several times when Julia’s experience and expertise provided key insights and quick resolutions of issues as she reviewed contracts and worked with our other vendors. We thought we were pretty organized, but there were a number of items that Julia brought to our attention that made for a better, more enjoyable event both for us and for our guests. Julia is thoughtful, careful, and experienced in many “flavors” of weddings and venues. Her florals were absolutely wonderful and she took cues from a variety of inputs and wove them into a beautiful landscape at Brake and Clutch. On the day of the wedding, her team was attentive and careful, and did a great job. Any questions or suggested changes were met with quick responses. Julia and her team are terrific and have our strong endorsement if you are planning a wedding in the Dallas area – the return on investment can’t be beaten!

    Julia is amazing!

    Booking Julia was the best decision that I made while wedding planning! She's very experienced and SO good at her job. She was always so responsive, helpful, and organized. She even helped me finish up some wedding tasks after the wedding was over. I had the most perfect day thanks to Julia's help. I would definitely recommend her!!!

    Amazing wedding planner!

    Julia was my month-of coordinator and I am so glad that I hired her! She made the day of my wedding so easy. Many of my other vendors commented on how organized and efficient she was. Her timeline for the rehearsal and the day of the wedding was so thorough and it left no room for questions. She was so professional and personable and did an excellent job in coordinating my contracts with my vendors as well as the set up for the day! I definitely recommend her for your planner!

    Peace-of-mind Planner!

    I hired Julia for a month-of package + to help find a florist and she surpassed all of my expectations! The florist she found was absolutely phenomenal, within budget, made the most perfect bouquets/arrangements, and recommended extra non-floral centerpieces that I never would have even thought to add. Julia was always professional, helpful, and on schedule with our meetings and phone calls, which is hard to come by these days. If I could do it all over again, I would have hired her for more than just month-of because she offers so much expertise and structure to the chaos with planning a wedding. The information she gave us in the weeks leading up to the wedding helped to ensure that we had everything prepared to make our day run smoothly. If there were any issues that arose the day of our wedding, I didn’t know (and still don’t) - and that, alone, was such a relief! Looking forward to seeing Julia again when she coordinates my sister in law’s wedding!

    Best Wedding Planner Ever!

    What can I say besides Julia is a wedding planner lifesaver!

    My now wife and I are both working professionals and the idea of planning a wedding in a short 6-month timeframe was a bit overwhelming as we did not feel we had enough time on our own to get everything done. When the stress started to build, we decided we needed help and contacted Julia, which was the best decision we made during the whole wedding planning process.

    Once contacting and talking with Julia, we decided to sign up for her full service. She immediately made us feel at ease as she started tackling many of the tasks we did not have time for (identify marriage venue, photographer, band, etc.). Julia constantly kept us on schedule and up to date. Further, she brought us options when needing to make choices which simplified the process greatly and made everything easier.
    I would highly recommend Julia if you are looking to have a seamless wedding where everything turns out great AND you stay on schedule, budget and have limited stress.

    Great wedding day

    My husband and I hired Julia Winters Events for the-month-of and the-day-of wedding services (wedding coordinator/planner). From the very first day of services to the send-off at wedding day, everything went smoothly & perfectly. Julia was easy-going and down-to-earth. It was super easy to work with her and her assistant! She goes above and beyond and offers great advice with just about anything that relates to wedding ceremony and reception. She even carried an emergency kit. One of our groomsman had a mishap and a red wine spilled on his white shirt, Julia immediately took the initiative and used her "magic white out" and the red wine stain was suddenly nonexistent. She also made a rehearsal and wedding day timeline and it was meticulous, but straight to the point. We had multiple venues on our wedding day (church, hotel, and reception) and I was anxious that people would arrive late, but that did not happen because Julia gave everyone in the groom and bridal party, including parents, and the vendors a copy of our wedding timeline! I recommend Julia Winters Events for your wedding! She also offers rental for decorations. It made everything so much easier! Thanks for helping make our wedding day memorable and great!

    Couldn't have done it without her!!

    Julia planned a wedding for friend of mine, which went flawlessly, and I knew I needed her for mine. I brought her on as a month-of planner and felt completely at ease after meeting with her for the first time. She took the time to thoroughly get to know me and my fiance, our vision for our wedding, and all of the things that were important to us, big or small. She was punctual, detail oriented, and made sure that everything was handled for our big day. It ended up storming on our wedding day and plans had to change, and she handled it all like a champ while allowing no stress to fall on me. The wedding itself went seamlessly and Julia was great at making sure we were everywhere we were supposed to be, at the right time, all while allowing us to enjoy our time together. I highly recommend her and her services (she does flowers now too) as she made our day absolutely perfect! There's no way I could have done it without her.

    Month of wedding coordinator

    Julia was amazing to work with from the very first contact up until my wedding day. I cannot say enough good things about her! She made the “month of” experience so much less stressful and I don’t know what I would have done without her. She never seemed annoyed by all my questions or when I would text her daily asking for advice on linen colors or lighting. :) She contacted all my vendors and made sure everything was coordinated perfectly. She was so professional and legitimately cares about making your wedding day perfect! I would recommend her to anyone!

    My wife and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Julia Winters Events. Mrs. McLoughlin and her team were extremely professional and provided expert quality customer service. They went above and beyond the call of duty. It's because of Mrs. McLoughlin that we even had a wedding at all! 8-weeks from the wedding we had no decorations, linen, flowers, favors, etc. for the ceremony and reception. With one phone call, Mrs. McLoughlin came in and saved the day! Within weeks, she put together a portfolio of lovely flowers, décor, vendor contracts, etc., and we knew we were in good hands. We received wonderful feedback from family and friends on how lovely, professional, and creative the decorations were...especially the flowers and bouquets, lighting and the SPCA puppy adoption station on the lawn of the reception venue! Most importantly, Mrs. McLoughlin & her team made us feel comfortable that we were going to get the wedding of our dreams within budget, and made sure we were taken care of. We have already recommended Julia Winters Events to our friends, one of which has already booked her after seeing our wedding ceremony and reception!

    Julia and her team were absolutely amazing! Our day was perfect in every way and it was all thanks to her and our amazing vendors! I would recommend her to anyone from a DIY Bride to someone in the industry. Wedding planners are such an asset on the day of your wedding and Julia is definitely at the top of her field!

    Julia did my month of coordination and she did a great job. The price included an assistant and she set up all the little extras I had that the venue wouldn't set up. She made sure all the vendors were doing what they were supposed to do, and she made sure we stuck to the timeline. It was a load off my mind to have her there. She and her assistant, Emma, did a wonderful job.

    Julia and her assistant Emma were outstanding! I did the "day of" package which really starts about 6 weeks before the wedding. I have little experience in party planning and hosting events, and I definitely didn't know how many important details I hadn't thought about for my wedding. Julia started working with me immediately, making vendor suggestions, sending me lists of questions I needed to answer about wedding day details, and giving me lots of tips and advice that I didn't know I needed. She had another event the night of my wedding so her assistant Emma was going to do my event. Emma was involved for every meeting, and copied on all communications. The day of my wedding I felt like I was already pretty organized and set up for success. When Emma arrived I was amazed with the speed of her work! I honestly thought she would have a pretty easy day ahead of her, but she worked nonstop making everything perfect. She was so sweet and caring. A few days before my wedding we had to make the last minute decision to put up a tent. The day of, it wasn't supposed to rain at all so we decided to do a hybrid set up with part of our reception under the tent and part of it outside of the tent so that everyone would have plenty of room. But we are in Texas so inevitably there was a huge thunderstorm that came rolling through shortly after dinner. Emma made it so seamless to move everything inside and keep the party fun. I had guests coming up to me all night asking where I found her and telling me she was doing a great job. It really doesn't get better than that right? I knew I needed a wedding planner, but I didn't know much I needed one. They both did a great job, and I was thankful to have them!

    Great wedding planner!

    Julia was a pleasure to work with! She helped us find the best vendors and kept us on track with our wedding planning. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and turned out just the way we had always dreamed. Julia's hard work was instrumental in making our wedding day dreams come true!

    Bride to Bride - stay away

    I waited to write this, but since our wedding my review has only gotten worse by her lack of any accountability & care. Bride-to-Bride I have to urge to stay away. I don’t want this for another bride. When my mom & I met Julia at her office, everything seemed to be going well - I was really happy w/ her. I told her I was overwhelmed choosing HAMU for me & the BMs - she said “I do this for a living, I will send you who to use.” I never received anything. I found the HAMU on my own & she never followed up to even confirm I booked HAMU, she didn’t care to ask. It seemed like she had her own agenda to have us get things that would just look good for her portfolio. ~ 2 months into working w/ her I told her we want a party bus w/ the wedding party to leave & she told me to get an old Rolls Royce, I said that isn’t our style & this is what we want. 2 days later she went to my mom saying she thinks we want the car - She didn’t care what we wanted. ~ 1 Week before - we were working w/ the band coordinator (BC), Julia was very adamant about her timeline, which is completely understandable. I simply wanted to clarify that it will be okay if we go off the timeline a tiny bit. I emailed her saying after the grand entrance, we’d have our first dance, father daughter, mother son, & welcome speech - all I said was that we don’t need EXACT times after each, if a speech runs over it’s ok - we have to be flexible. I told her the timeline was GREAT but things happen so to prepare to be flexible. After this I had no trust - 3 days before the wedding our GMs flights got canceled & I was working on getting new flights, I also was taking the programs to print & she asked to have a call - I texted her what happened, & how overwhelmed/stressed I was & I would call her when I could - all she said was “oh my” not “what can I take off your plate & help?” I THEN get contacted by the BC, that she had told them to throw out the entire timeline, that we didn’t want it, & she didn’t know if we wanted speeches/dances & she was “waiting for me to have time for her”. I had so much to do with no help from her. The BC then called me & I clarified. Julia turned it & apologized to me for the BC getting confused We were late to rehearsal, & she didn’t introduce herself to the wedding party while they waited - they thought she was a parishioner praying for the first 20 min they were there. Later, she introduces herself to me. I met her in person - she really didn’t remember meeting the bride? She asks if I want to say hi and points to her bag - she had her dog the whole time in the Church. How is that appropriate? Day of, she wasn’t setting up until after 2, so my mom was there. I don’t have getting ready pictures w/ my mom, something I can’t get back because she was doing Julia’s job. Julia never asked if we needed anything, she didn’t talk to me the day of until it was time to go down the aisle. She just walked past me. I hate leaving a bad review, I know people have off days - which is why we emailed her first. She tried to turn it & make excuses or said “Idk what to tell you”, or issues about her personal life, even implying she was a widow which she isn’t. She discussed her financial struggle, & made it so personal - this is a business not a friendship - all this shows she doesn’t know customer service or business. An apology would have gone a long way. I almost didn’t write this but our entire WP told me I had to so this doesn’t happen to someone else.Read Less
