We had an absolutely phenomenal experience with Josiah! Throughout the whole process he was responsive, accommodating, flexible and professional. During the wedding day he was somehow everywhere he needed to be without being distracting. He has a fantastic eye, and we LOVE our pictures. Highly recommend! -

Josiah was truly remarkable on our wedding day. From the initial consultation to the final delivery, Josiah's attention to detail and expertise made our experience unforgettable. His ability to adapt to different lighting conditions was impressive, especially since our event ran later than we originally planned. The turnaround time for receiving the final edited photos was speedy and they turned out beautifully.
Josiah's communication throughout the process was excellent. He kept us informed at every step, which helped manage our expectations and made us feel at ease. We were so grateful to have had Josiah as our wedding photographer. His passion for his craft and commitment to exceeding our expectations truly made our day even more special. Josiah was such a joy to work with. He immediately put us at ease with his professional confidence and easy-going demeanor - my partner and I aren't super comfortable in front of cameras and Josiah was so patient and helpful in working with us to find poses that felt and looked natural. He captured so many sweet details and moments, from the first look to late night pizza on the dance floor. The photos were delivered quickly after the wedding and we were so pleased with the final product! -

We could not recommend Josiah in a higher regard. He was very pleasant to work with and didn’t make us feel awkward at all! He also is so good at what he does - every picture exceeded any expectation I could have ever imagined. He was also very great about follow up in communication prior to the event and super flexible on location and when we wanted our hours to start. We will absolutely be using him for future life events again!! -

We were very happy with Josiah for both our wedding and engagement photos. He arrived early to scout out locations around the venue and found us some beautiful and creative places to include in our shoot. He gave us guidance on what to do in a way that made everything feel natural for us. He captured our day, our family & friends and us perfectly. We got our sneak peeks the next morning and had our entire gallery in less than 4 weeks! -

Josiah is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but amazing with guests and not to mention quick to pivot when/if plans change. Our wedding presented a few challenges due a significant storm. Josiah was excited and embraced the weather to shoot in the snow and captured amazing images! So many of our guests commented on his service and raved about the final product once we received final edits. Indoor, outdoor, clear skies, heavy snow... it doesn't matter, Josiah is amazing. I think our favorite thing about his work is his ability to capture the little moments that emulate the vibe and emotion of our special day. We can't say enough good things about him. -

A truly spectacular experience!
We truly had a lovely time with Josiah as our photographer! Just as background, my husband and I tied the knot a year ago (we essentially eloped during COVID). But we wanted to get our families together for a weekend to meet one another and have some pictures taken. Honestly being newbies to the Tahoe region, Josiah was very patient in helping us find certain places to shoot at, giving us advice of what would be the best for beautiful pictures. Even the day of the shoot, we requested a big, last-minute change and he was able to accommodate for us. Truly a professional and has an incredible eye! When my husband and I took individual pictures with him, he knew exactly where he wanted us and how to frame the shot, giving only minimal directions, which was very helpful for me! Best part was hiking up to this incredible vantage point! Easily the coolest thing we’ve ever done in Tahoe! Also, we got our photos back in just a few days and they are SIMPLY STUNNING! Thank you for Josiah for giving us a lifetime of memories! -

Josiah's photography is absolutely breathtaking. Looking at his portfolio, we knew right away that he was a master of his craft, and are overwhelmingly thrilled with the wedding pictures we received. Josiah really knows how to capture the candid and natural moments, rather than focusing on staged and fake feeling photos. I can't believe how he was able to capture every element of our wedding, with us barely even noticing him as he navigated the angles and shots. Plus, Josiah's personality was super relaxed and personable and exactly what we were hoping for from a wedding photographer. I don't think the wedding would have been the same without his involvement. -

Excellent wedding photographer!
Josiah was so great. We were having a hard time selecting a time frame and Josiah gave his input but was completely flexible. He gave great direction to get the best shots and was able to make us enjoy taking pictures which we usually hate doing. Josiah also gave us our pictures faster than we were expecting and we couldn’t have been more happy with them!! -

Sierra at Tahoe Wedding
Josiah was an amazing photographer who completely captured the image and feeling of the wedding. He was such a pleasure to work with, and had great ideas for pictures while using the entire venue for our backdrop. I couldn't have chosen a better photographer for my wedding. With COVID postponing our original wedding date, he was very flexible on changing to our new wedding date. He was quick to respond with all inquiries and questions. Overall I am so thankful for Josiah helping to create memories that we will have for forever, and the photos turned out amazing! Gaining access to our photos once edited was quick and easy, and I was able to view everything at one site. Thank you again Josiah!! :) -

Josiah was a better photographer than we could have even imagined!! He scaled boulders and leaped through shrubbery to capture some of the best wedding photos we've seen (we may be biased). We have too many amazing photos we can't possibly frame them all!! He was so receptive to our ideas and made everyone chuckle when the pictures started looking a little tiresome. His calm personality and adaptive attitude was easy to work with. Compared to the many weddings we've attended I can't believe how amazing Josiah was at capturing candid moments and natural group shots! -

It was the best decision we could’ve ever made in using Josiah Hassler Photography for our special day. Josiah is an amazing photographer! His ideas, his professionalism, and his flexibility to this ever so changing time, allowed us to capture great memories of our special day. Every photo, edited or unedited, was perfect. We even went on a hike up to get amazing pictures from on top of the mountain. He got all the great shots, but got all the in between ones too. I would highly recommend Josiah Hassler Photography to anyone and everyone. -

He did a great job fulfilling this request, even with the tight schedule on our wedding day. He got a good mix of posed and candid pics. I loved his ideas for posed pictures--the results looked fun and not stiff at all. There was so much love at our wedding, and he captured all of this and more through his pictures. I got emotional all over again! Thanks, Josiah! I would definitely recommend Josiah to all of my friends and family. -
