Our whole experience with JWR was great, from start to finish. They include the space rental, the food, the bar, the tables and chairs, the linens and more. We worked with their event coordinator Molly, and she was always prompt and responsive with communicating and she gave excellent feedback, as well as other vendor recommendations. Their day of coordinator, Cody, was also amazing! My wedding day went by with ease and Cody always seems to appear just as we had questions for him. The flow of the day was so smooth, the food was amazing, drinks were great, service was incredible, and the venue is absolutely beautiful! My wedding day was so perfect, and JWR is definitely to thank! I can’t say enough positive things about John Wright, and I’ll be recommending them for years to come!! -

Everything about our wedding at John Wright was perfect from start to finish! From the initial tour of the River Room, we knew that was where we wanted out big day to take place. Molly Cook (Assistant Director & Event Sales) was there to help us every step of the way. She really used her expertise and experience to help us achieve the perfect wedding day. She helped us with all the details and things we didn't even know we needed to consider, which was so helpful when coming up with our floor layout, day-of timeline, etc.
The Bridal Suite is very spacious and was a great place to get ready. The Bridal Suite package also provided delicious wraps, coffee, iced tea, etc. which was so nice as we decorated the had our hair/makeup done.
Bernadette (Bern), John Wright's day-of coordinator kept our day running smoothly in all aspects! She was able to help us problem solve with last minute setup aspects to make sure everything was perfect! Our outside ceremony was on a sunny 90+ degree day, and Bern brought us and the bridal party a refreshing pitcher of ice water and cups after the ceremony, before we took more photos. That extra step of care was something that really stood out, and was so appreciated!
We absolutely loved our food tasting date night a few months beforehand, and the food the day-of was spot on! All of the staff us and our guests encountered the day-of, and beforehand were kind, professional, and friendly! Almost two weeks after our wedding, our guests continue to rave about the delicious food, the beautiful venue, and the overall experience! -

A beautiful venue & great food
The food is absolutely amazing! Venue is beautiful! Pricing is also very reasonable compared to many other venues we received pricing from. Great location. Molly is wonderful to work with, very organized, and quick to respond. We would recommend John Wright to anyone! -

Nyrel Sent on 03/19/2018We got married at John Wright on 2.18.18. John Wright Restaurant was the perfect venue for Michael and I. We absoutely loved having our ceremony/reception there. From the initial meeting with Molly Cook we need this was the place. Molly Cook was absolutely amazing, she went above and beyond. She really made everything so easy for us. The food, atmosphere, friendly staff was on point that day. They really took care of us. It was worth every penny ! I highly recommend John Wright for any wedding/event.
We also had our rehearsal dinner the night before down in the dining area. The food and service was excellent. Our guests loved it! John Wright Restaurant is one of a kind!!! Thank you again for a wonderful experience and being apart of our special day! Michael and I will forever cherish the memories at John Wright on our wedding day! -

Kristen Sent on 10/30/2017My husband and I got married here on 10/06/17. It was absolutely PERFECT! We had our ceremony out on the lawn with the river in the background. It was just like a fairy tale we had perfect weather and lighting. Our reception was in the River Room above the restaurant, and there are not words to describe how beautiful it is. It has a rustic feel with a little bit of glam which is exactly what we were looking for. The food and service throughout the entire day was incredible. We were very privileged to get to work with Molly through the entire process, from planning to day of. She is absolutely incredible. She made sure everything was planned to detail and went without a hitch. I got my dream wedding and it would not have happened without JWR! I HIGHLY recommend them as a venue for a wedding, party, or just to have dinner. I could not have asked for more! -
Erin Sent on 09/26/2017I have so many great things to say about choosing our wedding reception to be at John Wright. We worked with Molly throughout the planning process who thankfully was also our day-of coordinator. She made the planning process so easy and fun, and truly embraced our crazy, unique ideas. She was always so quick to respond and was incredibly accommodating to us. The day of she kept myself and my family so relaxed, was so helpful with last minute requests, and we truly all had fun. We fell in love with the venue from the beginning: the rustic elegance, the view of the river, the large patio. Our guests had an amazing time and complimented the staff, the venue, and the day endlessly. We are so grateful to have chosen John Wrights as our venue.

Angie Sent on 03/14/2010We used John Wright Restaurant as the location for our rehearsal dinner. Vincent was great to work with and came up with a menu that was affordable and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was also amazing and the service was impeccable! -
Megan Sent on 11/27/2017We had to change venues 6 months before our wedding. Luckily, JWR had our date available. Molly worked with us every step of the way to plan our special day. She was flexible with changes and ideas. She even worked with my mother in law and I to plan the rehearsal dinner. She also worked with my wedding coordinator (Events by Ashley) to make sure everything was perfect. We reserved the bridal suite for the morning of which made getting ready so easy. We added the mimosa package and they provided us all with lunch which took a lot of stress off me. All in all our event went perfectly with no issues. We had a blast and the food was amazing. I can't say enough about Molly and her services. Thanks JWR!

Allison Sent on 01/23/2018Molly was absolutely wonderful to work with! Without her our wedding would not have gone through as smoothly as it did. She was very attentive to my questions, concerns, changes (which of course did happen!) and nerves. Molly was easy to schedule time with for our meetings and even when booked the venue about a year out, she was willing to work with us to make decisions from the start. Molly was also our day of coordinator and I am so glad that she was since she knew our vision and plans from the beginning. I do wish we could have taken some leftover food with us as unfortunately about 12 people did not show up; since there was extra and my husband and I didn't really get to eat much on our day it would have been awesome if we could have taken some food home with us. Overall though, I hope to have a reason to work with Molly and John Wright again in the future.

User3120859 Sent on 07/07/2017John Wright was a fantastic location for our wedding reception. We worked with Molly, who also ended up being our day-of coordinator, and she was great to work with. Very responsive, direct, thorough, and was on top of the details that we had specifically requested. Everything went extremely smoothly on the day of our wedding and we had no issues getting in to decorate, getting our vendors access, or for clean up afterwards. Everyone on staff was very respectful and professional. I'd say my only complaint is that the food was not the same quality that we had at our tasting. ]We were running a bit behind schedule that day, so it may have contributed to our food being overcooked and close to cold. I'm not sure how the buffet tasted to our guests (because honestly I was scared to find out), but it's possible just the head table's plated food was bad. Either way, I can say that it was the only disappointing thing about the entire day. The venue is beautiful, the renovations they did are really lovely and modern, and we had complete flexibility to decorate however we wanted and with just about anything we wanted. I would highly recommend John Wright to anyone else looking for a trendy venue with a gorgeous view - absolutely amazing for photos!! -
Lisa Sent on 03/21/2018Entrees on buffet didn't dissapoint. Compliments gallor - especially the braised beef short ribs. Only thing - when they say you're hours are from 5-9, they mean it. Staff started tearing down tables at 9 without hesitation. No lingering to be had.
