John was incredible to work with from the beginning. He was very professional and brought a much needed sense of piece and comfort from day one of planning with him. He was absolutely able to capture the whimsy at our wedding. We were worried about having a small wedding and how it would feel in the photos and in person but he was so amazing and didnt make it feel awkward at all and was so sweet to everyone. He told our story beautifully through his photos and we couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend him if you'd like a calming/grounded presence on your special day. -

Our engagement session with John was an incredible experience. He made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, capturing both candid moments and guiding us with poses. His advice on where to stand, what to do with our hands, and where to look was invaluable, especially since we often didn't know what to do. Despite the guidance, everything felt very natural, which is clearly reflected in the stunning pictures. AlWe highly recommend him!
Before the session, we had a Zoom meeting with John to discuss the locations and the overall concept for the photoshoot. He truly understood our vision and brought it to life perfectly.
We absolutely love black and white photography, and he made sure to provide us with some stunning black and white shots.

I've known John for a few years and have seen him consistently create amazing photography for all his clients. So when it came time for my wife and I to choose a photographer for our wedding, there was simply no other name on our mind. We are so lucky and honored to have gotten a chance to work with John and his team. The experience was unbelievably smooth and fun. He made us feel completely at ease throughout the entire process and the photos turned out absolutely amazing! The Best Photographer !
John was absolutely amazing! He anticipated all of our needs prior to wedding day. John was organized and ensured that all of our important photos were captured wedding day. John truly blended in, feeling and looking like family. He was able to capture moments we had no idea he could! We recently received our wedding photos and we are blown away by how lovely they are. -

We Highly Recommend John!
John is excellent at what he does, and his social following and respect within the wedding photography circles proves it. We feel privileged to have gotten him for our 2-day wedding! From the get-go, we felt comfortable picking him as he was recommended by 2 of our friends! He helped us tailor the proposal to fit our needs which changed quite a bit during the months leading up to our multi-day and multi-cultural wedding. He even met with us in person to iron out the shot list.
On the wedding day, John knew exactly when to tell us what to do and when to give us room to get all in our feelings. He was such a joy to have with us on our days, and made us feel totally comfortable. Our wedding planner also told us several times that he was a blast to work with from the vendor side. Finally, even during the busiest wedding season EVER for vendors, his turn-around time was great! We feel amazed at how perfectly his photos captured all the moving parts of an Indian-Brazilian-American wedding. We’ve spent hours looking at the photos over and over and they keep giving us the FEELS. We absolutely recommend John! -

We are so thankful we found John and that he was available for our wedding day. From the beginning, John stood out through his professionalism, eye for details/unique shots and his kind demeanor. He wanted to make sure we chose the right photographer for us, regardless of if we chose him or not. We did our engagement and wedding photos with John and he made us feel so comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. My husband and I were blown away by the engagement pictures and the unique angles and symmetry John has an eye for setting up! John not only is a great photographer but he is a great person to work with. He is very prompt in response and goes above and beyond. Our wedding plans shifted due to COVID-19 and he worked with us without any added stress and went beyond in editing of the wedding photos to include removing water drops on the bridesmaids dresses when we got rained on during our picture time. We could not recommend working with John more. -

Best day of our lives
Where do I even begin?! John was the best choice we could have ever made when it came to picking a photographer for our wedding. John was absolutely fantastic! He was so professional and prompt every step of the way. Even before our wedding day arrived, we felt confident and secure knowing our photos would turn out unreal. His talented eye for detail as well as expertise in his photography skills was appreciated by us. His personality is truly amazing and was appreciated by everyone, including our guests. He fit right in with our family and friends and everyone absolutely loved him! We also enjoyed that he was not afraid to jump right in with the party and bust out some awesome dance moves throughout the night! It was a blast and a joy to have him be a part of our wedding day. John made sure everything and everyone was on schedule so naturally. I’m still amazed how we stuck to the timeline I had created with him and the day ran so smooth without a single thing gone wrong! I was able to relax and cherish every moment without being rushed or anxious. It’s an understatement to say that our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives, and now we are able to relive that day over and over again through the amazing photos John has captured, that we will truly cherish forever. He feels like part of the family now and definitely played one of the biggest parts in making our wedding day such a success and an unforgettable experience. Best Photographer in North Carolina
You know your photographer is good when your wedding guests come up to you in the middle of your reception to rave about him! John really did become a part of our wedding, we felt like we have known him our whole life. His personality and talent is immeasurable, he was meant to do this work. He danced with our guests and took remarkable pictures the whole night. I would say I am blown away, but that would mean I am surprised at how amazing the pictures turned out, but I trusted him the whole time. I am so grateful we found John, he really did make our day unforgettable. -

Best photographer ever!
Where do I even begin to describe our beyond amazing experience with John?? John was recommended to me by another professional wedding photographer who was moving out of the area where we were having our wedding. Soon after the recommendation, I got into contact with John and my husband and I immediately fell in love with his personality alone ( not to mention his amazing work! ) He was professional, charismatic, creative, caring, and easy to work with/ talk to. John made sure we got every special shot we needed on our special day and not once did he make us feel rushed, overwhelmed or uncomfortable. He also made sure everything was in order and had a timeline before the wedding so the day would be easier for us. Every single picture he took was amazing and he truly made our special day even more special. I would definitely marry my husband over again, just to have John be our photographer haha! 10/10 would recommend and would also keep him as a family friend. Hands down one of the best people and photographers I’ve ever met! Thank you, John! -

John was amazing to work with! Not only are his photos stunning but he really becomes a part of the day by mingling with the crowd and getting on the dance floor to get the best candid shots. We loved working with him because he was able to capture our day while it was happening, rather than having tons of posed photos that took up a lot of time. We loved how well John communicated with us before the wedding day. He was very professional and scheduled a couple of phone calls with us to go over our vision, which made us feel at ease. John was timely and did a great job making sure we got the shots we wanted. The results are stunning and totally captured the feeling of the day. We are SO happy with how they turned out.
If we had to give one piece of feedback it'd be this: follow up after the wedding with a quick update and reminder on how long it will take to edit them. We were so anxious to get the photos and forgot how long they might take.
Other than that, everything was perfect! -

John is THE BEST! He was the easiest to work with and so much fun. I love the energy he brings and I knew right away that he needed to be our photographer. He is very reasonably priced and is worth every penny. He knows his way around a wedding and make our day go by very smoothly. His style of photography is not forced and he made us feel very comfortable. Also he is the kind of photographer that will get down during your reception, still one of my favorite moments! Absolutely amazing!
Absolutely AMAZING! We met John at a wedding show in North Carolina and absolutely loved his display, shooting style and personality. After a brief conversation, we exchanged information which led to us setting up a facetime. After our initial facetime, we knew John was the right choice for us! John was OUTSTANDING during our special day. The images he produced were better than anything we could have imagined, you know, given the forecast (severe thunderstorms). But, from flatlays to portraits to candids, he went above and beyond to capture our details, the essence of our love, and our loved ones. We are more than happy we chose John to do our wedding day photography. We're very thankful for his knowledge, his guidance, and his skills. He is SIMPLY THE BEST! We loved his ENTHUSIASM and PASSION for the job. We also loved watching videos on social media and seeing him dancing and snapping at the same time. HOW? THE BEST! John is the BEST! Point. Blank. Period. I found John on Instagram & even though I thought he was out of my price range I reached out to him because his page was so warm and inviting. And I am so glad I did! He responded within a few hours & we arranged a FaceTime call. From that moment, I knew he was our photographer. My husband & I got engaged in August & got married in December. It was October when I found John, within a week I was taking my engagement pictures! The pictures from our engagement shoot & wedding are STUNNING!!!!! I literally look at them once a week. His work speaks for itself. John is so personal, professional, and a joy to be around. My family & friends all talked about how he inserted himself into our wedding & they never felt pressured to take pictures. You can tell all of his pictures are capturing people in their natural space and it is not forced. I had the pleasure of working with John this past weekend at a wedding in which I was the Planner for. John has great attention to detail and has an exceptional portfolio, so I was eager to see him in action! He was very quick, efficient, detail oriented, and did an exceptional job capturing this couple in their element from what I've seen already from the preview! I will definitely recommend John in the future to my couples! -
Mike Sent on 08/16/2018I think the pictures can speak for themselves cause I was speechless when I saw our preview photos. John literally left for the airport after our evening wedding and edited some photos for us at the airport. Just because he was hype to show us what he had captured. That right there should tell you all you need to know about how much John loves his craft. His style captures moments so beautifully and from the best angles. His guidance and confidence in his shots was so helpful and comforting to me and my wife as we had no idea what to do on our own. He talked us through every shot and was able to pull off some of the best photos I've seen of myself in my life. Seriously, when my wife and I saw the preview pics up 2 days after the wedding it was like opening a ton of gifts on Christmas morning. The preview shots were so good we can't imagine what the full album will be.
For the rate that John charges it's a total steal. He's a top caliber photographer and if you like his style of shooting you won't have to worry about a thing come your special day. Seriously, our wedding rained so we had to move everything inside (it sucked because it was suppose to be outside next to the beach). There was a window of an hour after the ceremony where we started to take photos with John. It had just stopped raining and he asked me and my wife if we'd be willing to go outside on the beach and try out some photos outside. He had this vision in his head and he just really wanted to see it come true for us. My wife was all for it but I was a little skeptical because I didn't want to get my shoes ruined. I asked him if he thought it was gonna be worth it. He said yes. I took off my shoes rolled up my pants and Sweet Christmas were we not disappointed. The photos below are proof you're in good hands.

Amanda Sent on 02/02/2018First and foremost, as a person John is the photographer that you need for your wedding. I’ve known him for years and have seen him grow as a photographer and couldn’t be more proud of his business, which is why I asked him to be my wedding photographer!
From the moment that I officially booked him until well after the wedding he has been phenomenal and attentive to what my needs were. The day of the wedding he was early and remained professional throughout the entire day. He rolled with the punches when my Maid of Honor had to deal with staff at our hotel, causing us to be late (and he was beyond patient) and he made sure to take all the photos that my brain could even think to take (and more)!
If you want someone who has a great eye and has the persona to get along with everyone, then John Branch IV is your man! He does beautiful work and I would recommend him to ANYONE who needs wedding photography, engagement and family photos or even headshots! You will not be disappointed and everyone who sees your photos will be in awe! -

His professionalism was present in every part of the process; he met with us multiple times in person to discuss timeline, shot list choices, and our overall vision for the day. Our engagement and wedding photos are absolutely gorgeous, we have gotten so many compliments on them and happily display them in our home. :) On the day of, John was amazing! He had back-up locations ready in case we needed them due to rain, made everyone in our wedding party and families feel comfortable in front of the camera, and seemed to catch every important / beautiful moment.
