We are so happy we found Joe to DJ our wedding! We loved that he was able to do a mix of live music with his guitar, piano, and vocals as well as DJ. Joe was absolutely incredible and truly can do it all! From playing the piano beautifully during our ceremony to singing and playing guitar throughout cocktail hour and dinner, and then seamlessly transitioning into DJ mode to get the party going; he nailed every moment.
We loved the mix of live performance and DJ; it gave our day a classy, elegant feel early on and then turned into a full-on celebration at night. Our guests credited the entertainment as one of their favorite parts of our wedding, and our dance floor was packed all evening.
Leading up to the wedding, Joe was a great communicator. He made sure every detail was confirmed ahead of time, and anytime I had a question, he responded quickly, usually within hours. He completely understood the vibe we were going for and brought it to life.

We love Joe!
Joe is the best! From start to finish, he was such a pleasure to work with as we planned our wedding day. He took the time to listen to our needs and made sure that all of our song requests were played during the reception. He is an expert at reading the room and knew which music to play at exactly the right time. He is truly a jack of all trades! He played the guitar beautifully during dinner and transitioned seamlessly to DJ for the remainder of the night bumping all of our favorite tunes. Guests of all ages were up on the dance floor the entire night. We truly lucked out with Joe and cannot recommend him enough for your next event!

Cannot recommend Joe enough! From start to finish, he was incredible and truly elevated our wedding. We entrusted him with the sound design (DJ services AND live vocals for our ceremony/cocktail hour), and he absolutely delivered. My wedding was this weekend and people are still telling me how amazing Joe was. He played guitar and sang for our ceremony, He played live for our cocktail hour and while we ate and he was absolutely amazing. A lot of my new husbands family are musicians and the rave he received was incredible. They were all beyond impressed and wanted his information for events. Then he switched up to awesome Dj. We wanted a good mix and requested clean music due to kids in attendance. He was able to accommodate our request and still make the music killer. My husbands almost 90 year old grandparents down to the babies were all out on the dance floor loving it. Me and my husband even got some of our favorite emo music in there, in the perfect amounts! He is incredible and worth every penny. I would 100% recommend his for any event.

Picking the DJ was probably one of the most nerve-wracking vendor choices we had to make, however, all of those anxieties vanished with the first phone call with Joe! He was a breeze to work with, has fair pricing, and I received so many compliments from our wedding guests! He added everything we wanted and kept out the songs we didn't want. Couldn't have asked for better!
Joe Farren created the most perfect and beautiful environment at our wedding. He played piano with classical songs for our ceremony, acoustic guitar with chills songs for cocktail hour and dinner and then DJ for the dancing and party! Often I see at weddings a DJ that can be (for lack of a better word) kind of annoying or in a way making it their personal show. Joe was the opposite. Our day was made by the relaxed, dream-like music he played for us that day. I will forever be thankful for his laid back, calm, focused, flexible, TALENTED and kind personality. One of my friends said afterwards, "I think the musician was challenging us to see how long we would stay on the dance floor...he won!" HAHA Dance floor was filled the entire night and everyone had an amazing time. I truly think so much of this was due to Joe. He brings so much to the table! Especially for a bride who is so stressed with planning and overwhelmed (I think we all are) - Joe can take a huge weight off your shoulders. He was the perfect answer for the music that day. My wife and I hired Joe for our wedding. Joe hit the mark in every category and really added to such an amazing night. He made planning the music for our reception and cocktail hour super simple and painless.
What really sets Joe apart from other DJ's is his ability to deliver a really solid live performance. For our cocktail hour and during dinner we asked him to play instrumentals and to sing. He really set a great mood. And for his DJing, he can really read a room. There were one or two moments where people were moving off the dance floor and Joe played a song that packed the dance floor without missing a beat. I 100% recommend Joe to anyone as a DJ and certainly if you're looking to add some live music to your event.

We were introduced to Joe by our wedding planner (Katy of Coastal Coordinating — also wonderful to work with!) and couldn’t be happier! From our first telephone meeting, it was easy to see that Joe had a great, positive vibe. He provided a very thorough questionnaire to help guide us through all of the music selections and provided knowledgeable input and advice in areas where we were stuck. On the day of our wedding (the first time meeting in person), he was very personable, and his delivery throughout our entire wedding ceremony and reception was seamless. Joe has a chill and relaxed vibe that provides a calming presence. He’s a true professional with an amazing questionnaire that helps couples think through every aspect of their wedding. I knew that we were in good hands when my fiancé and I booked Joe. There isn’t a single minute of the wedding that he isn’t prepared for from the ceremony to the final dance. I had been searching for live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour and a DJ for the reception. Joe is exceptional at both elements. He is even willing to learn new songs to personalize the wedding for each couple.
The hora was a critical element of our wedding to get people on the dance floor. He spent the perfect amount of time in the hora then deftly transitioned into a slow song to allow everyone to catch their breath. Our hopes that people would spend the night dancing were met!
Even my grandfather spent a considerable amount of time on the dance floor which is an incredible feat since my mother said she’d never seen him dance before. Joe managed to create a vibe that was appealing to our younger and older guests. We had so many guests share that this was the most fun wedding they’d ever been to in part because of the hora and dancing!
We are thrilled to have booked such a talented musician to make our wedding more special than we could have imagined. If you work with Joe you will not be disappointed!

We hired Joe to be our DJ for our wedding this fall; I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience working with Joe.
He's laidback personality matched ours, he was flexible, and offered tons of great tips. Joe played acoustic guitar through our ceremony and was willing to do a duet with a friend while she sang during our ceremony, it was magical. He played guitar during our cocktail hour and then when it came to the reception, he kept the night flowing, never making it awkward for us our guests! Joe didn't MC too much, which was my preference he let the music selection keep the hype of the night up. Our guests had THE MOST fun, we closed down the dance floor!

What can we say about Joe other than he was simply amazing!! Joe is kind, patient, and an incredibly talented musician. We were originally planning on getting married on Sanibel and then Ian happened. We scrambled to reschedule our venue and Joe was a calm in our storm. He incorporated everything we wanted into our cocktail hour with his amazing acoustic songs, supported our vocalist in our ceremony and incorporated our playlist during our reception. Joe was absolutely wonderful! He made our day so personalized to us, one of my favorite things about Joe is him being a musician as he also played live music during our ceremony and cocktail hour! Would highly recommend him if you are looking for a fantastic night for you and your guys!

Fantastic musical ambience
My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with Joe and his services! He was incredibly easy to communicate with and was able to explain any areas we had questions about. He supported us throughout the planning process and made sure he was only a phone call away. On our wedding day he played great live music and dj’d! All of the guests seem to enjoyed his playlist, we certainly did. Not to mention his MC skills and ability to pronunciate names correctly! We would recommend him over and over for any event.

Joe Farren was fantastic to work with on our wedding! He provided excellent live music for parts of the ceremony and dinner and did a fantastic job with the music selection for the reception afterwards. He was on point the day of the wedding and kept everything running smooothly. The dance floor was packed all night long! I would highly recommend hiring Joe for your wedding. We had Joe Farren perform for our wedding on 02.22.2022. We could not be happier with our decision to go with Joe. He communicated with us numerous times leading up to the wedding, to ensure that our experience would be one to remember. He gave us everything we wanted and expected, and helped us with suggestions here and there, which was greatly appreciated. The mix of live, with Joe singing and playing guitar, along with a superb variety of MP3s, made for a fun night, which was enjoyed by all. Joe is wonderful! He provides a one stop shop for beautiful live music that sets such a perfect tone and also rocks it as a DJ & MC. He was exactly what we were looking for at our Brewery wedding and we are so pleased to have worked with him. Pick Joe!!
Joe was the MC/DJ for our wedding and we couldn't have asked for anyone better! Great mix between live music and DJ'ing. He was very flexible and took our music tastes into consideration when curating the playlist for the day. He also learned the song that we wanted to have played at the close of the ceremony. Communication and planning in advance was very easy. He was a big part in helping make the day special!

Joe is very easy to work with. We had to change our date and he was more than happy to accommodate us. Joe was great, he played live during cocktail hour which all my guest enjoyed. He was very easy to work with. He read the room very well and kept everyone on the dance floor. I had some very specific requests and he met those requests. He was very pleasant and not cheesy. I have been to wedding where the DJ takes over and its all of sudden the DJ's show. This was not the case with Joe! He is awesome and I'm so happy we hired him for our wedding!

He does it all!
Joe was my only choice to have at my wedding and when we decided to push it back due to COVID, I pretty much only cared if he could still do the new date. He did not disapoint and I referred him immediately to a friend that also used him at their wedding weeks later. So in a sense I got to see him 2 for 1. PS. He plays the harmonica!!! But you need to request it. :)

Having Joe at our wedding was the best! He was extremely friendly and professional leading up to the event, and took away all the music-related stress from planning. At our wedding, he performed live music and sang during the cocktail hour - which was lovely - and then dj'd during our reception. Our venue recommended Joe Farren as musician for our wedding and it was the best decision to choose Joe as our musician. We did not have to choose between a DJ, band or one live musician because Joe is everything in one! For you as bride, Joe is the best to work with, he is super flexible and very responsive. Some vendors might not respond to you within a week, Joe responded to me within less than 24 hours. We had our wedding initially planned for September 2020, booked everything in February 2020, and then COVID hit us and we had to postpone a total of 3 times - and that's when it was important for me as a bride to get quick responses from everyone and Joe was on top of it.
He provides you a wedding planner, which basically guides you through the entire ceremony (I didn't know there were so many songs we had to pick) but it was perfect, I never felt stressed about the music part of our wedding. Planning this wedding with Joe was a smooth ride, although we had postpone.
At the wedding day, he was great as well. He was able to play live music and be a DJ. Our guests loved that whenever they requested a song they didn't have to wait an hour or so for "their" song to be played, he usually played it as the next song.
If you don't want to be stressed about your wedding planning, pick Joe as your musician, you won't regret it!

An amazing musician and DJ!
We are so glad we went with Joe! He was excellent to work with from start to finish - from scheduling, and then re-scheduling our wedding due to COVID-19 to taking on the logistics of an island wedding, he was calm and cool through it all. Joe is very communicative and always made sure that we were on the same page. When it came to our big day, many people commented on how lovely he sounded during his live performances. He played the keyboard during our ceremony, sang and played guitar during the cocktail hour, and then he was a "regular DJ" with all of the announcements and music selections during the reception. We also appreciated that Joe did not need help from us on the wedding day. Though he had never worked at our venue before, he found his way around and made sure to get what he needed without bugging us. It was an awesome experience and we were really happy we hired Joe. I would strongly recommend you hire Joe for your wedding or other event!

DJ Joe Farren is literally the BEST!
We had a destination wedding coming from Colorado to St. Pete's Beach, I called around for DJ's in the area and after my initial contact with DJ Joe Farren I stopped my search, he was the most easy to work with, organized and professional host/mc/Dj we could have ever asked for on our wedding night. He accommodated us in 2 spaces, on a beach and in an outdoor courtyard, played everything we asked, on time , was gracious and smooth when on the mic and just understands how events and wedding flow. His speakers were on point, we like EDM mixed with some Pop and his setup lit up the courtyard with sound, reminded me of being at Red Rocks lol. Couldn't have asked for any better. I wish I had more events to throw in St. Pete's as I want to use him again!

When we discussed vendors, one of the most important vendors to my husband was the music. He found Joe and we loved that he could do live music and DJ. My husband and I struggled choosing a first dance song. Joe did a zoom meeting with us and helped decide on songs and then did an acoustic version of just the two of us that was one of my favorite parts of the wedding! One of the best decisions we made for our wedding
Joe was such an amazing vendor to work with. He was the very first vendor we booked because once we heard his demos, we knew we had to have him play at our wedding. He was so responsive and helpful leading up to the wedding and he gladly learned two songs for us! Having him play acoustic guitar for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner gave the day a romantic, intimate atmosphere I had only dreamed of for our wedding. I had so many guests tell me the music was amazing - even our wedding coordinator couldn't stop raving! My husband and I (we got married 12.07.1 9) are pleased with choosing Joe Farren as our ceremony musician and DJ! Joe did a beautiful job with keyboard for the ceremony and singing at dinner/DJ for the rest of the reception. We got so many compliments from our guests and it was nice to see everyone up dancing the night away! My grandmother even danced for most of the night ! Joe was very easy to connect with before the wedding as he went through everything , asked us the appropriate questions in order for us to determine what my husband and I wanted. When we had questions, he was quick to respond. Joe Farren is a very talented musician (we found him through our wedding planner Brittney- Kimberly Hensley planning) and I would highly recommend him for your wedding as well. We had a beach wedding and wanted instrumental music with DJ. Joe was the perfect guy!

Joe is seriously one of the best vendors a bride could ask for. He was super communicative the entire time, answered my stupid questions almost immediately, and is just a super down to earth and awesome person. The fact that he plays music & can DJ, and at an awesome price, is literally a no-brainer. He worked with us to make our music fit us as a couple, and also to make me feel more comfortable (I’m not a huge fan of being center of attention). He’s super upbeat, funny, and just really fun for the whole crowd. He played MP3’s during the ceremony (since we had such specific and different music we wanted played), acoustic during cocktail hour and a little longer, and then DJ’d the rest of the night. I had some specific songs I wanted that aren’t really “wedding songs” (my husband and I listen to all kinds of music) and he threw them in seamlessly. We left it up to him other than those specific songs we wanted and the genre’s, and he played a great mix of everything. We weren’t really sure we would have people dancing since our reception was in a brewery & had lots of other games & such going on, but people did end up dancing! We played the shoe game with his questions and it was so much fun! Our guests & bridal party really loved him. Highly recommend Joe!

My husband and I met Joe at a wedding event in Tampa at the beginning of the year. We hired him a couple of weeks later. Joe is such a nice, personable guy and fabulous musician. He took the time to communicate through email and phone to help us make our wedding playlist and go with our timeline. He played guitar and sang during cocktail hour and dinner, then MC'd graciously including when we had to find the father of the bride. The dancing was great and there wasn't a song we didn't want to be on the floor for. He was very professional and helped us figure out timing for the events, what we really wanted out of the music for our wedding, and gave us confidence in his abilities before he even showed up.

Live Band and DJ in One Joe Farren Shaped Package
Y'all, Come on! If you want live music during your ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner, then a DJ during the reception, you would be INSANE to not book Joe. There honestly are no words to describe how perfect he made our wedding and the best thing was we met him at another wedding. Joe plays the guitar and piano and proceeded to do both during our wedding then really kicked the party off with Justin Timberlake (he knows how much I love him after I filled out his awesome worksheet). If I ever have another party, similar to a wedding, but not as huge, I would still hire Joe to come. You will never regret hiring this talented guy!

Joe was AMAZING! Not only was he extremely professional but every song he played was perfect. He is also a triple threat! He is a great DJ, has a wonderful singing voice, plays the piano and guitar!! He was very accommodating and easy going when changes needed to be made to location or order of events during wedding. He also has a great flow with jokes and commentary during reception in between songs. He also made sure everyone (especially the bride and groom) had a fun, exciting time. Hiring Joe as your DJ will truly be one of the best decisions made for your wedding, I can't thank him enough for making my day so special.

Joe was the DJ at my wedding last weekend. He was phenomenal.
He worked with my husband and I on what music to play for every piece of the wedding. When we weren't sure, he made great suggestions.
He played the keyboard during the ceremony. It took place in a park, so he brought his own amplification system and arrived early to set it all up and go over everything with our wedding planner. He played the guitar during our cocktail hour at the reception location. He acted as emcee. He played the grand piano during dinner. Then he DJ'd for the evening dancing!
Everyone loved his DJing. My only problem was that there were so many great songs I never was able to leave the dance floor.
I can't recommend Joe highly enough. I couldn't have asked for anyone better.

I couldn’t be happier with our decision to use Joe he is extremely talented and endured that everything went perfectly on our wedding day. One thing I believe is that music can make or break your party or in my case, my wedding. Joe made our wedding reception amazing. We had a mixed crowd of baby boomers, generation X'ers, and Millenials and Joe appealed to everyone's taste. One thing that stood out to me was the counsultation that we had prior to our wedding regarding our music which made our wedding and reception even more personal. In addition, Joe helped the reception flow so smoothly because of the thorough consultation and hi experience and professionalism. We didn't have to worry about when the bouquet would get tossed or when we would cut the cake. Friends and family are still talking about our wedding and we can thank Joe for that.

Joe is awesome! We met him at the Tampa bridal expo, and were immediately hooked on the fact that he would play piano or guitar, and DJ. We talked for about 30 minutes before our wedding day, and completed his day-of template for music - it was fantastic. I'm super organized, and love music, and being able to think through every aspect was so helpful. Joe ended up playing the piano for our ceremony, and DJed the reception. He knew exactly what to play to keep everyone on the dance floor. It was non-stop fun, and I got so many compliments on how great the music was. Everything was perfect! Would HIGHLY recommend.

Joe was already booked the day of our wedding, so we booked him for our Lobster Bake Rehearsal dinner! He did an amazing job and helped create a super chill, relaxed vibe with the perfect live music in the background. I can't say enough good things about Joe. He was there with plenty of time to set up, he played guitar/ piano and sang during both cocktail hour and dinner and then he DJ'd late into the night, to the point the venue made us end it, but we could have gone on and on. He played the songs we wanted, he played the songs our guests wanted and everyone had a blast! We're just hoping we have another excuse to hire him again!

Joe was SOOOOOOO good and everyone loved him. One of our guests is in a band and he even said how good Joe was. He can play/sing anything. We had pop, rock, and country songs. Joe learned two songs for me. I was literally moved to tears when he sang my first dance song. My only regret was that I only hired him for three hours. I wish I could have kept him longer! He was easy to work with, super friendly. You will love him!

My wedding is next year, but my fiance and I knew as soon as we got engaged that we wanted to reach out to Joe. He was the DJ/Band at my sister's wedding two years prior and was amazing, everyone was talking about how much they loved her DJ. He knew how to play songs that worked for every age, the dance floor was never empty. We were figuring that Joe's prices would have gone up since it had been two years prior, but discovered that he was still the same reasonable price. He has been very quick with his responses. My fiance is from Poland originally and for his Mother/Son dance we wanted to do a song in Polish, we found a song we loved, but it was far too long. We sent Joe the MP3 and he was able to cut it down to a time length we liked with a nice ending. If you are looking for a Live Musician/ DJ for any event I highly recommend Joe.

We had a fantastic wedding reception on the roof terrace at the Don CeSar and we cannot thank Joe Farren enough for this. He had great communication before the wedding to ensure that the playlist was right and to note any songs that we didn't like. He kept the music going at the perfect pace through out the night (slower whilst we were eating then faster as the party commenced). He even took requests on the night which was great and kept the dance floor alive.

Joe did an unbelievable job at our wedding. He was recommended to us by a friend and even after a positive referral, he still exceeded all expectations. He can handle virtually all of your needs on wedding day relating to music. He did a wonderful job during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and he made sure to play all of our requested songs while people were dancing.
In addition to the musical aspect he is extremely professional, responds very quickly to emails, and is very easy to get along with. A wise friend gave us a bit of advice while we were planning our wedding, "Make sure you hire professionals, because if anything goes wrong, the professionals will know how to handle it and you won't even notice." Joe was sick on the day of our wedding but he adapted and managed to arrange a beautiful set list of Sinatra songs for the cocktail hour. He has great timing and was a fantastic MC and DJ.

Joe did a stellar job handling our wedding. He was organized and very responsive. He was able to MC and DJ our wedding, and we couldn't have asked for better entertainment. By offering live music, he brought a special touch that most DJs could not offer. Joe is amazing!!!! As soon as I spoke with Joe on the phone before we booked him, I knew I would not have to worry about our choice. From day 1 he was organized, professional, and fun. He has a wonderful packet that helped us, from a Bride and Groom stand point, know what was expected of us to make our music a reflection of what we wanted. He is an insanely talented musician. My husband and I couldn't decide on one song for our first dance and Joe was able to mash two songs together, sing it live, all while we did a choreographed dance routine. Did I mention I told him this this week before the wedding? Joe didn't miss a beat. He sang, played piano and guitar during cocktail hour and dinner and then switched to a master DJ for dancing! He respected our do not play list and read the crowd perfectly. He can also provide up-lighting which provided a romantic touch to the room. Honestly I can't say enough good about Joe. He is the exact type of personality your want running your wedding. Joe is a class act and the best of both worlds when it comes to live music and DJ.
