If you're planning a wedding stop what you're doing and go hire Johanna and her team. I am not exaggerating when I say that hiring Johanna as our day-of-coordinator was the single best decision my husband and I made in our wedding planning process.
I can be very Type A (and have built a career in project management) so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a coordinator who could 1) handle my personality (admittedly I can be a lot) and 2) could be organized enough that I could truly turn my brain off for my wedding ceremony and just enjoy the day. Johanna absolutely blew us away. Not only is she one of the most organized people I've ever met, she's an incredibly kind and genuine human, and made us feel like we had a true teammate in this crazy wedding planning process.
When people tell you that no matter how much you prepare your wedding will never go exactly according to plan, they mean it. The MORNING of my wedding I received an email from my photobooth vendor that their equipment was broken and that they could no longer fulfill our contract. Johanna helped us secure a replacement vendor in a matter of hours and took care of the logistics so my husband and I could be fully present on our wedding day. We also experienced a crazy rain storm that disrupted a key period of our timeline and had to postpone our outdoor ceremony, but Johanna was there every step of the way taking caring of the last minute change of plans, advocating for us, and making sure the vision we had for our ceremony and reception was executed beautifully in the end.
I genuinely cannot say enough kind things about Johanna. If you want a knowledgeable professional who also feels like a friend you've known for years to help plan or coordinate your wedding or event, hire JLM Design & Events. You will not regret it. :)

HUGE FAN HERE, I genuinely do not know how our wedding would have gone without JLM. The entire planning process was completely seamless & catered to our personality so well. For a day as big as the wedding day I could not recommend JLM more, it was the most perfect day with the best vendor team. The vendor recs we're huge for us & absolutely helped with the major decisions that feel like the end of the world. JLM has some amazingly talented employees & seeing them do their magic on the big day was the coolest part. Even when you forget the rings-- the ceremony still starts on time ;). Rain? No problem they've already figured it out for you. All said and done I trust this team with MY LIFE & you should too! -

Booking Joanna was hands-down one of the best decisions we made. She’s not just a wedding planner - she’s a negotiator, cheerleader, visionary, and truly, a friend.
From our very first consultation, we could tell she genuinely cared about our vision. She was incredibly knowledgeable about our venue, super responsive (we were texting back and forth up till the wedding and she was never out of reach), and consistently provided the reassurance you need throughout the planning process.
Whatever we wanted, Joanna made it happen! I mentioned I wanted a harpist for our ceremony, and she immediately said “got it,” and we booked the most incredible harpist. She also recommended key vendors like transportation and catering, all of whom had worked with her before. The entire team operated like a well-oiled machine, which made everything feel seamless and stress-free.
On the wedding day, Joanna and her team executed everything flawlessly. One moment I’ll never forget: right before the ceremony, when I started to feel nervous, her assistant walked me to the aisle, talking me through it and making me feel completely at ease. It meant everything.
Our wedding was absolutely perfect! The best day of our lives, and we have Joanna to thank for that. If you’re considering booking her, don’t hesitate!! She will make your dream wedding a reality!!! -

Hiring Johanna (JLM Design and Events) was single handedly the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. Johanna is extremely experienced and navigates the wedding industry with confidence and kindness. She had the quickest response time of any individual or business I've worked with, even when she was actively supporting additional weddings. She made sure I knew no question was a silly question, which immediately eased my mind. I did not worry about a single thing on the day of our wedding, because every single aspect was taken care of. If you're thinking of hiring JLM Design and Events for your wedding, DO IT. You will absolutely not regret it. -

Johanna and her team helped create the best wedding day for me and my wife. From having our first meeting in early summer up to the wedding day, Johanna's communication and organization were phenomenal. Whether it was answering our countless questions, providing recommendations for vendors, or helping our grand ideas come to fruition, she was always there for us every step of the way. Not only did the team set up the venue perfectly, they provided so much support behind the scenes (including figuring out how to bustle my wife's dress for the reception). We could not be more grateful as both of our families were able to truly be present throughout the entire day without having to worry about a single detail. We are so thankful we decided to have Johanna coordinate our wedding. She and the JLM Design and Events team provided us with a wedding day we and our guests will remember forever. -

From start to finish working with Johanna and the JLM Events team was undoubtedly the best decision we made for our wedding.
Full transparency - I was hesitant to book a coordinator due to budget being the MAIN factor for our wedding and frankly I didn’t think we could spare the expense.
After finding out from our venue that it was a requirement to have a coordinator (turned absolute GODSEND) I found Johanna last June (2025) and from start to finish have been absolutely FLOORED by her dedication, insight, and complete understanding of our needs and wants for the most special day of our lives.
Let me just tell you- Johanna will go ABOVE AND BEYOND for you and then some. I was so thankful to have her as an advocate during this process. As someone who considers herself very “Type A” I had no idea how much of a crucial necessity having someone like Johanna would be during this process. The vendor selection is overwhelming to say the least but getting into the nitty gritty of contracts, Plan B scenarios, and just overall comprehension of this business is not something that is talked about enough in this industry. With the guidance and wisdom of Johanna, I know for a fact our experience was as seamless as it was because of her knowledge and diligence.
She checked in with me routinely leading up to our wedding year and then on a weekly/daily basis once our wedding year hit. Before booking the remainder of our vendors (which were a lot LOL), I would make sure to send her the contracts I received to make sure everything looked okay and with her guidance we were able to avoid some MAJOR possible disasters with some really important vendors (talking Catering & Glam…pretty important :) ).
My whole point is this- you have no idea what you’re looking at or even the questions to ask, even if you think you do, you need someone like Johanna and her team as allies.
We avoided these possible disasters because we had Johanna. And even better, once confirming that it wasn’t in our best interest to book said vendor(s), Johanna would be right there with other options for us that were highly recommended and most important- in our budget. I never once felt pressured or like that I wasn't heard at all with Johanna during this process. She received and heard every ounce of my wants and intentions for this day and for that, I am indebted to her. Our wedding day was such a sacred day and because of the team (led by Johanna ) we didn’t have to worry about ANYTHING. Our main focus was just being present with each other and savoring every second- that’s how it should be!
BOOK JLM DESIGN AND EVENTS, trust me it’ll be the best thing you do :)

I could not recommend JLM more!! Johanna and her team went above and beyond throughout our entire wedding weekend! I never once had to worry about set up, clean up, or design! Her & her team were so kind & helpful to not only us but to our guest. Johanna made wedding planning so smooth & stress free. She was always organized and always available with clear communication. Besides being the best coordinator she became like family to us, always reaching out & checking in on us whether it was regarding wedding planning or just our personal lives. I can't stress enough how stress-free and organized my wedding was with JLM Design and Events by my side. Our wedding was an absolute dream. It was orderly and smooth as we were able to walk 150 people outside, inside, outside, and inside again. It never felt like I was being rushed or yanked around. After the wedding, I had ten separate people come up to me to express how seamless and organized the wedding was. It had nothing to do with me. It was all Johanna and her brilliant organization, experience, and foresight that made our day so special. I also had multiple vendors express to me how wonderful of a job Johanna did in terms of handling contracts, getting information to them, and providing day-of timelines. I can imagine that that is a huge compliment, as JLM Design & Events has stood out among all of the other wedding planners that are out in the field. Finally, I have to say that Johanna is incredibly flexible when it comes to having meetings and visiting potential venues. As an out-of-state bride, I was incredibly grateful for that. If any bride-to-be comes to me, I will always suggest JLM Design & Events. -

JLM Design & Events was the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. From our initial conversation with Johanna we knew she cared just as much about our big day as we did. My professional background is in events and I knew it was going to be hard to find someone who cared as much as I did about all the tiny details of the big day. But, Johanna knocked it out of the park. From planning calls, vendor communication, venue communication. day of coordination and most importantly emotional support... We were so happy we had her on our side. I cannot recommend Johanna and her team enough. If I could give 10 stars I would. HIRE HER NOW!!! -

Hiring Johanna and her team to coordinate my wedding was a no brainer. She came highly recommended by The Market at Grelen and after chatting with her the first time I was sold. She is professional, confident, and very good at what she does. Every little detail was nailed down before the wedding day and the timeline she laid out was perfect. The wedding day ran so smoothly and there were no hiccups and everyone had a great time! If I had to do it all over again I'd go with Johanna each and every time! -

Excellent, organized, professional, and cheerful
Hiring Johanna and her team was hands down the best money we spent on our wedding. She was all around excellent. Before our wedding, she helped us plan with tons of helpful worksheets, great advice for saving money and managing logistics, and lots of enthusiasm. We got married at a rustic vacation resort (cabins, small lake, lodge, etc.) outside with poor cell service, which required some thoughtful planning and troubleshooting. Johanna and her assistants solved any problem that arose quickly and quietly (including probably some issues that I never even knew about). She always knew what to do and she was a calm, steady presence on an otherwise chaotic day. Johanna and her team went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had nothing to worry about so we could be fully present. They were also just lovely to have around in general - supportive, fun, and easygoing. I cannot recommend JLM highly enough! -
