Amazing work, quick turnaround, and very friendly!

If I could give Jessica Taylor Photography ten stars, I would! Jessica shot my engagement photos at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. I had seen her work and decided that she was perfect for several reasons: the quality, the price and she was willing to travel to Asheville for my shoot. Jessica arrived early, spent an extended amount of time with me and my fiance, and made us feel so incredibly special! I was nervous at how the pictures would turn out, but when we received our images much earlier than expected, I was in tears at how beautiful they were. I cannot wait for her to shoot my bridal portraits!!! I would recommend her if you are looking for an incredible photographer at an amazing deal! You will not regret choosing her for your services.

We first had our engagement pictures done by Jessica and were very pleased. We got them back quickly after the session and communication was never an issue. Naturally, we booked her for our wedding. Things started going south a couple weeks before our wedding and it was too late to hire someone else and we had already paid a large portion for the photography (she sets up payments and then the last payment is paid on the day of the event). We were never late with a payment and had paid every penny by the day of our wedding. She showed up to the wedding late, had not planned any locations for the shoot, wasn't familiar with the park where they were shooting, and had not planned any of the pictures. I had asked her to look over the ideas I was thinking of on my Pinterest board and also let her know where we would be shooting, etc.

BUT the biggest issue is that in less than two months we will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary and we do not have the pictures, thumb drive or texture mounted print that was paid for in the wedding package we purchased. I am a very patient person, but it is running thin as you cannot go back to your wedding day. So all we are left with is pictures on the computer with the rather large logo. We have tried calling, emailing, texting, contacting her through her website, Facebook business and personal page, and sending certified mail. She did email me in February of 2016 in regards to my first certified letter to her and explained that her life was hectic and that she would get the pictures to us. I was of course so excited and explained my frustrations and worries to her. That was the last contact I had with her. I have since tried again communicating with her and it has been unsuccessful.

Unfortunately, we will be taking this to small claims court if we have not heard from her by June 1st, 2016.

Please really look into your wedding photographer, read reviews, don't hesitate to even contact others who have used them, etc.

    Jessica Taylor Photography's reply:

These issues were all solved. Additionally, I was very familiar with the venue and had attended weddings there before. So, this is an invalid judgement. I arrived at the time I was given in prior communication. It was only on the day of the wedding, while in route to the venue, that I started recovering multiple, non-stop phonecalls from bridesmaids asking where I was. The couple booked a timed service, I was given I time they wanted that service to begin to cover the entire wedding and a portion of the reception within that timeframe. And I arrived prior to the time I was given. So, I am confused as to how I was late for the wedding when I arrived prior to the time I was given by the customer? In trying to do my job, I had bridesmaids trying to tell me how to pose my clients and dealt with the most immature behavior I’ve ever experienced from a wedding party in over a decade of working in this field. My second photographer, which I provided free of charge, even though the customer didn’t book the package that included 2 photographers, was having to work as a buffer to allow me to do my job, rather than being a second photographer. In the stress of this, I became shaky, overheated, and dropped my camera.... something I have NEVER done and damaged one of my lenses all because of the immaturity and catty behavior of the bridesmaids. I have dealt with wedding drama, but this was the first time the drama was directed at me and it was very, very unnerving. This was a very weird and immature experience that could have been handled differently and more maturely. I am very disappointed by the one sided opinions and the accusations that don’t mirror the truth and those that twist the truth, while some errors were made this profoundly fails to represent the full story.
