Best Photographer We Could Ask For

Without a doubt, hiring Jess as our photographer made our wedding day possible and it ended up being absolutely perfect! We would have been totally lost without all of her help throughout the process; she was so thoughtful in guiding us through our planning, our timeline/schedule and kept us on track the whole day. She encouraged us to do a first look, which ended up being our favorite part of the day! Throughout all of our crazy planning efforts & the wedding day itself, Jess was patient, thoughtful, kept us smiling, and still managed to capture the most amazing memories. Her second shooter, Eric, was also phenomenal and we would recommend them to anyone & everyone! We already can't wait to ask Jess to take our family photos, baby photos, and more - she's lovely to be around, super responsive, professional, and just an absolute joy to work with. Timeless photos with ease!

Jessica helped make our day so special! The photos she captured were stunning and true to color, which is exactly what we aimed for! Her calm demeanor made our day feel so easy, and she was very organized so that we were not pulled away from our day at all. We had requested to do as little pre-planned photography as possible during the actual ceremony and reception and she did so with ease! Jessica quite simply was incredible! She made sure we got all the important pictures, and made sure we had all the ones that we hadn’t thought about!

Jessica was amazing. If there is higher than a 5 star rating she deserves it. She was incredibly patient and responsive- listening to all of our needs and preferences and giving us great additional suggestions. She had thorough plans mapped out for our day, including stops we had talked before the big day and was flexible when we needed to make course adjustments. She had everything covered. All the important moments of the ceremony and reception she captured - and she did so without taking anything away from the moment. Our guests thought she was wonderful. Most importantly- the quality of the pictures was perfection. We can’t say enough good things about Jessica! If you’re lucky enough to book her, you won’t be disappointed.

Fabulous!!

I’m pretty sure Jess was better prepared for my big day than I was! We had a great experience with her. She was kind and easy to work with, and made us all feel comfortable. She had to wrangle a MASSIVE family on the grooms side with many individual photo requests and some family drama and late family members. She did not break a sweat even once, and dealt with all of the challenges with some serious skill and finesse. Not to mention her photos are gorgeous and captured the big day so well! We had a phone call a few weeks before the wedding to go over details and tips and tricks, and she covered details I wouldn’t have thought of in a million years. Highly recommend Jess!!!!

Jessica is the only choice for your wedding!

Cannot say enough nice things about Jessica and her husband. They captured the beauty and glitz of our big day exactly how we experienced it. They are so kind, attentive, and skilled.
Jessica's main talents lie in her eye for composition and lighting. Her photos are dynamic and tell a story. Mostly, they make any shoot fun!
Jessica isn't only skilled behind the camera, but her editing abilities are second to none. Thanks to the cold Colorado December, the skin on my neck/shoulders turned into a very pale pinkish-white, which starkly contrasted with my air-brushed makeup on my face in certain photos. Luckily, Jessica fixed this in every photo, blending, smoothing, and color-correcting everything, so my poor circulation was a distant memory.
If you choose Jessica as your wedding photographer, my husband and I highly recommend a first look shoot. She and her husband led made this moment the most magical part of our day. Thanks again, Jessica!

We hired Jess of Jessica Schmitt Photography for our wedding day photographer and could not be happier with everything. Jess and Eric were fantastic! The entire process from hiring to day-of photography was easy and enjoyable. After speaking with Jess and reviewing her work, we had no reservations about hiring her and did not feel the need to interview anybody else. Our package included 2 photographers on the day of, Jess and Eric are an amazing team. They made us feel comfortable, calm, and confident. Jess is a rockstar!

Jess is AMAZING! Jess was the very first vendor we hired for our wedding and a big part of that decision was how comfortable and easy it was talking to her right off the bat. Jess is so kind and genuine and she truly listens, wanting to provide the best experience possible. She is organized, professional, honest, and goes above and beyond to ensure her couples feel at ease and happy with the finished product. We had a small ceremony on a mountain and at one point Jess was laying in the dirt in order to get the best shot of us - that’s commitment right there. Our pictures came out STUNNING and it was all because of her direction and ability to make us feel comfortable and not rushed. She even suggested some fun, off the cuff things that ended up being some of our favorite poses of the day. She works with you to establish a timeline so you get to fully experience your day without feeling like you’re rushing through pictures and missing out on the party. She really does provide “lovely photos with ease” and we are so thrilled to have these memories forever. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Incredible from start to finish

Jess was the very first vendor I hired for my wedding. From start to finish she was responsive, communicative, informative and never pushy. I liked Jess's vibe and found her packages super affordable without lacking any of the quality. She always includes an engagement shoot which helps you get comfortable her and being in front of the camera with your partner. She's extremely organized and helps curate a timeline for your whole day so you can work with your other vendors. She's fast and efficient so you get all the photos (which are truly gorgeous) that you need, while also being present on your big day. Cannot recommend her enough.

You won't regret your time with Jessica!

We found Jessica through a friend that is in the wedding industry and has a critical eye when it comes to cost + value. I wouldn't have gone with anyone else! Prior to our wedding, we spent some time with Jessica and we had expressed our nervousness being in front of a camera. We ultimately ended up doing an engagement shoot prior to the wedding to get ourselves comfortable in front of the camera but also with Jessica. She was SO easy to work with, provided us a ton of coaching and she did such a great job of genuinely capturing our smiles. The day of the wedding, Jessica was punctual, detail-oriented and really alleviated any stress that a bride may encounter. She not only gave me and my husband great direction, but when it came to family photos, she was not afraid to help guide our family to ensure we got the best photos possible. I would gladly recommend Jessica and use her again if we had the opportunity!

True to color photos!

Jess was the most incredible photographer for our wedding! We couldn't be happier with the way our photos turned out. We received all of our photos back very quickly (around 2-3 weeks), and are sooooo happy! She kept the photos true to color, and didn't dull them with filters. So many photographers over edit their photos, but these ones are just simply perfect! She was kind, responsive, and has lots of experience so she was able to help us make the photography aspect of our wedding smooth and seamless. I highly recommend Jess to anyone searching for a wedding photographer. She is incredible!

Jess was fantastic to work with all-around for our small, backyard wedding. We found her photos on Instagram and reached out because her style seemed to keep the colors true to real life, and the poses looked natural. She was so genuinely kind and professional during our initial phone conversation, and we were both so excited to have her photograph our wedding. Jess gave us suggestions while we were planning and confirmed every detail a week or two before the wedding day, which helped us feel confident with our timeline. Day of, Jess worked her magic of posing us without anything feeling super awkward or forced, quickly moved through the list of family shots, and captured many sweet moments from the day. An amazing experience

Jessica was so easy to work with before, during, and after our wedding shoot! Jessica photographed our elopement recently and we cannot say enough great things about her. She was very easy to work with and communicated all details/schedule beforehand so we knew what to expect. She even made suggestions on what may make the day more special (bouquet, cake, champagne) and we are so happy we took her suggestions. The day of our wedding she showed up on time and provided the perfect amount of guidance, ease, and suggestions to make sure our photos turned out great. She had scoped out our location prior to our wedding day so was able to take us to a ton of great spots! Picture Perfect

Jessica flew all the way from Colorado to join us in Montauk, NY for our magical wedding. She spent three days with our families to capture every moment of our wedding weekend. She captured our rowdy drinking games and kooky karaoke, staged a breathtaking first look and braved the wind and our dog to photograph us at sunset on the beach. Jessica took thousands of photos and made them all available to us online via her site, which was awesome. The quality of her photos and her ability to frame shots are best of the best. The Best Ever! Our Photos Are Legendary!

A good friend recommended Jess to me and my husband when we were looking for engagement photographers. Luckily we were able to work with her for both our engagement shoot and for our wedding. She has a real eye for taking beautiful photos and was great at guiding us on how to interact and move but still made the whole process feel very natural, special, and fun. Our photos from both occasions are beautiful and we would jump at the chance to work with Jess again if she’s available to capture another phase in our life together, like when our family starts to grow. Lastly, I would say that Jess is methodical, responsive, and transparent when it comes to the business side of things which made a huge difference as we started to juggle more and more tasks in advance of our wedding.

Jessica was amazing to work with

Jessica was amazing to work with and we are so glad that we chose her as our wedding photographer. What really stood out to me as the best part about working with Jessica is that she is very collaborative and wants to make sure that at the end of the day you are enjoying yourself while she is taking your picture. At first, we were not comfortable in front of the camera but she gave us direction to put us more at ease so we could be comfortable and natural in front of the camera. On our wedding day, she was a great calming presence no matter what was going on. She was organized and professional and we got pictures that really captured the day and the people who came from near and far to help us celebrate.

Jessica was one of the best decisions we made

Jessica was our wedding photographer and she was one of the best decisions that made throughout the entire planning process. From our first meeting to our wedding day she was professional, friendly, and collaborative. We had a lot of out-of-the-box ideas that we wanted to do at our engagement session and she gladly accommodated us and even came up with some great suggestions. We also are both very camera-shy and Jessica's warm personality and direction helped us get out of our shells and we were able to get a lot of great photos of the two us. Prepping on the logistics of the wedding day, Jessica provided a lot of great advice and brought up a lot of helpful suggestions that we didn't even think about. Those tips really came in handy on our wedding day and her calm demeanor was also a very welcomed presence.

We received our final wedding photos and she really captured a lot of beautiful, candid moments. We're so happy with our pictures and have so many awesome photos that show how great our big day was!

It was clear from that first time we met Jess that she was a total pro, and that we could feel at ease trusting her with the very important work of photographing our wedding. Not only does she of course take beautiful photos, she is so friendly, flexible, organized, and communicative. She was on top of everything, from the engagement shoot through posting the final wedding photos, and always made sure that our wants and needs were being taken into account. She also photographed my sister's wedding, and my mom is already making plans to lure her back to New York for my nephew's bar mitzvah, that is how much we all love Jess and the photos she takes!

We were so lucky to use Jess as our photographer for both our late fall engagement session and then our winter wedding this past February in Brooklyn. She was responsive and helpful, not just with our photos but also the general time line of events for our wedding day.

In person she was very professional, but also extremely easy going and friendly. She made sure that we got the more formal portrait-like family photos done before our ceremony (including somehow rounding up our various family members so that we could stay on track). She even did advance research for our venue and the hotel at which we were getting ready and had some great ideas for special photos. But even more impressive was her great eye in the moment, as she had some great ideas for impromptu photos (including some wonderful photos outside when snow started falling) and also made sure to get a bunch of less traditional and candid photos.

Overall, we would 100% recommend Jess for any engagement session or wedding!

I googled "nyc wedding photographer" and Jess' site was one of the few that popped up. After spending some time perusing her work I gave her a call. I knew within the first five minutes of our phone conversation that I had lucked out. She was incredibly sweet, and was super excited about the opportunity to be a part of our wedding. She had so many ideas, and was so sincere; she took something that had been an afterthought for us and turned it into a part of the wedding that we were really looking forward to.

The day of the wedding, we could not have asked for anything more from Jess. Amidst all the hustle and bustle, she was the consummate professional: art directing every shot (down to even getting our dog to look at the camera) while staying calm and poised. Never once did a smile leave her face, her energy always positive and encouraging.

In short, I don't know what we would have done without Jess. From our first conversation to the timely delivery of a beautiful array of photos for us to remember our special day, Jess was accommodating, kind, and genuine. Do yourself a favor, make sure Jess is the one holding the camera on your day - you won't regret it!

If you want a photographer that is easy to work with and makes your vision come to life-LOOK NO FURTHER- one of the biggest pieced of feedback I got from my friends and family was how wonderful my photographer was. Jessica was the photographer for my wedding. She did an absolute wonderful job from start to finish! I think it's obvious by now if you've read ANY of the many 5 star reviews for Jessica that she's the best photographer out there. You should stop reading these reviews, reach out to her and book your event, shoot or party NOW. If you happen to be one of those people who need to read ALL the reviews than let me give you a few reasons why she's the only photographer you need.

Jessica is the nicest person ever, seriously. Who wants to deal with a rude or crazy person? There will be enough stress at a wedding or event otherwise so might as well pick someone who is helpful and nice yet extremely professional. As someone who doesn't love their picture taken, I always felt comfortable, confident and relaxed with her. That alone is a minor miracle so that should really sell you on her.

Jessica knows her craft and the photos came out AMAZING. There was a perfect mix of professional, candid and artistic shots that really portrayed our wedding exactly how we wanted. She would make these small but perfect suggestions on how or what to do so we got the right shot. Jessica even scouted out the surrounding areas around the venue so we could get some unique and very cool photos that we would have never thought of otherwise.

Finally, she was extremely responsive in getting back to our questions. I'm sure she has heard every question we asked a million times but we always felt like we were special and got a response in a very timely manner. Jessica also was happy to work with the budget we had for our wedding. She is worth EVERY penny!

I really can't recommend Jessica enough. All her reviews are 5 stars for a reason. If you can choose her for your event, you're really doing yourself a favor by doing so.

Jessica is the absolute best. From the first phone call, Jessica was both incredibly professional and extremely personable and kind. She made the prep process extremely easy and really took the time to get to know us and what we wanted from a photographer. She asked great, thought provoking questions and helped us complete the vision for our event. On the actual day, Jessica took all the photos we requested, but also took time to scout additional photo opportunities for us, resulting in really unique, beautiful pictures that captured some of my favorite moments from the day. Weddings are stressful and a photographer plays such a big part that she or he can really make or break the day. In Jess' case she absolutely made our day!!

Not only does Jess' photos speak for themselves, but she was an absolute pleasure to be around. She is super organized and was such a calming presence amidst the natural wedding day chaos. We met several photographers before deciding to hire Jess and we were not disappointed. Jess did both our engagement and wedding photos. There are several things that we loved about Jess throughout the process - 1) FLEXIBILITY: The day before we were scheduled to take our engagement pictures, I had an unfortunately accident. Jess was fantastic about rescheduling even though her schedule was packed during those few weeks 2) PROFESSIONALISM: Jess guided us through the entire process -- including timelines, how to get organized, and things to think about while preparing for both the engagement pictures and the wedding day 3) COST-EFFECTIVE: The package we got was a great deal (especially after we saw the tremendous quality of Jess' work) and finally and most importantly, 4) BRILLIANT PHOTOGRAPHS: The most important aspect of what separates Jess is that she is extremely gifted in the photographs that were taken - she had a number of fantastic suggestions on locations, scenes, poses that came out great but was totally flexible and relaxed if we wanted to go in a different direction. Jessica was the first (and only) photographer we met with. From the minute we sat down with her, my wife and I knew we had found the perfect person to capture our wedding day! She was 100% professional from beginning to end. We had a pretty tight budget that we were working with, and she was able to put together a great package for us without pushing us to spend more money than we wanted to. Jessica (and her husband Eric) were a dream to work with. My wife and I had never done a photo shoot with a professional photographer and were a bit nervous and unsure what to do, but Jessica was incredibly helpful, had an eye for what we should do to get the best photos and guided us accordingly, and also incorporated the handful of ideas and suggestions we had in mind. She was highly responsive to emails, and spent a lot of time, via phone and skype video chat, making sure we had everything we needed and that the timing and other details were in order for the wedding day. It was great to have Jessica on top of it and not have to stress about the photos!

Jessica did both our engagement photo shoot and our wedding photos, and in both cases we received the full album, digitally, in a bit over 3 weeks - we didn't even realize how amazing of a turnaround this was until we heard from another recently-married couple that their photographer had yet to get them their photos more than 2 months after their wedding. And there was no limit to how many photos we could take - we had Jessica for the duration of the wedding and got as many photos as she could take (which ended up being over 800).

Overall, we are immensely pleased with Jessica's work and look forward to working with her again in the future, perhaps when the time comes for a baby photo shoot!

Jessica was a fabulous photographer for our wedding in mid Sept 2016. She also did our engagement photo shoot and provided hundreds of quality photographs. She and her husband Eric captured every special moment of our celebration and were easy to work with; she was very accommodating with my big family and fairly short photo timeline (due to sunset!) She sent out a sneak peek of a couple of photos the next day; within three weeks we had a blog post of 20+ photos we could share with friends and family! I can't wait to see the full set, but the quality, services, and speed has been fantastic so far. Definitely recommend.

I found Jessica after filtering for only the top-rated photographers and with only 10 weeks to plan my winter wedding, she was such a Godsend. She was extremely professional and flexible and always patiently worked with me whenever changes had to be made to the wedding program; offering useful advice throughout the process.

Her creative eye was unmatched as she captured every moment in such a beautiful and natural way. She worked with me as well as my husband's entire family to ensure she took so many amazing shots of all the guests. Whenever my family, husband or I look at the photos we are easily able to transport back to the wedding and relive every aspect of one of the most important days of my life.

After the wedding , Jessica posts "sneak peek" shots online which is a nice touch in order to be able to share with family and friends. The presentation of the album is so tasteful and elegant .

Lastly as a bride it is important to realize that your photographer will be with you throughout your wedding day. Within 1 minute of speaking to her on the phone you can easily feel as if she cares about you and your wedding day and will be there not only to capture your day but to celebrate it with you.

Jessica did both our engagement pictures and wedding photos, and we were thrilled with how everything came out. Jessica is extremely professional, organized, and personable, and I had absolutely no reservations with putting the responsibility of capturing our special day in her hands.

I really appreciate Jess's artistic eye. For our wedding in Long Island City, I wanted to capture shots of the Queensboro Bridge and water, and Jessica was able to scope out the most gorgeous spot for our first look pictures. Her photography beautifully captured the love and happiness of our wedding day, and she put everyone at ease.

So my wife found this amazing photographer on wedding wire and I must say "great job"
Jessica's services were awesome, all we did was explain to her want we and she got it done. Also she is very helpful when it came to creativity and ideas. Jessica is also very sweet and professional she knows how to keep that balance which i feel is something not all photographers can do and she always tried to keep us feeling comfortable while taking photographs.

We recently had Jessica and her husband Eric as the photographers for our wedding and could not be more thrilled with them!! When we first met Jessica last fall, my husband and I instantly felt comfortable around her. She was incredibly knowledgeable about her field, and also genuinely interested in us, our story, etc. On the day of our wedding, Jessica and her husband arrived early to scope out the area and get a feel for where our photos could be best staged (our wedding was on the beach at a private residence). During the day of they were incredible - they chose places for the photos that hadn't even crossed our mind! Late in the night my husband and I noticed a full moon above the bay and asked Jess and her husband if they thought if would be possible to somehow get some moon photos. They were more than happy to accommodate and minutes later we were out by the water capturing this shot. Jess and Eric were legitimately excited to help us capture the beauty and vision of our big day. We highly recommend Jessica Schmitt Photography for any photo needs!

We could not be happier that we hired Jess to photograph our wedding! My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Jess. Not only is she amazing with the camera but she is fun, professional, and extremely detail-oriented! Jess has everything covered when it comes to wedding photography—tips for engagement shoot locations and what to wear, sample day-of photography time lines, lists of what items to have ready for her to photograph, and she even had the groomsmen face the chairs a certain way to make sure she got perfect horah photographs—you name it, she’s on top of it and with a smile on! Jessica is fantastic. She is really sweet yet professional, which made us feel very comfortable with her. We signed her right after meeting with her. She was also very patient with us on our big day, especially since my mom was driving everyone crazy. I had to ask her to take so many more extended family pictures than we had initally discussed. And then some other family members didn't show up on time, so she accommodated us by taking random other family/friends pics. She was also very quick, which helped. So far, the pictures turned out great!

Stop looking for a photographer and hire Jessica immediately! We cannot rave about Jess enough. The quality of service she delivers is amazing and she truly captures everything you want to remember about your day perfectly.

We got married in Philadelphia, PA at the Hotel Monaco and Jess was happy to travel for our special day. She also worked her schedule out to meet us in Philly one Sunday in October for our engagement session, which meant a lot to us!

Jess was so responsive and flexible during the planning process and had so many great ideas for getting us the best pictures possible. The day of the wedding she also had such a calming presence about her, she puts everyone at ease and definitely makes sure the bride and groom's wants take priority! She is great at helping to organize all of the portraits (with large families and bridal parties this is super helpful) and above all she is just an incredibly nice person (this is so important on your wedding day)! She is a true professional and goes above and beyond to make sure she exceeds your expectations.

We cannot recommend her enough! If you want spectacular photos from the best in the business, you'll find it in Jessica!

Jessica was amazing to work with. She is super friendly and makes you feel so comfortable, which is really important if you are going to spend a whole day with her. She was quick to respond to my emails and any questions that I had. She is organized and knows exactly how to do things to catch all the important photos. I really enjoyed working with Jessica on our engagement and wedding photos. Our package included two photographers which allowed them to capture so much more of the wedding and really helped with getting the best lighting when one was carrying the flash. I cannot recommend working with Jessica more highly!! From our initial consultation through the wedding day (and after) she has demonstrated a high level of professionalism and organization. And, most importantly, the pictures were absolutely beautiful! We worked with Jessica for both our engagement shoot in NYC and our wedding outside DC. It was great to find a vendor that can work both areas. Jessica and her husband were fantastic to work with and really made us feel comfortable and relaxed the day of our wedding. She came up with a lot of great ideas for pictures and we have received so many compliments. She even went above and beyond taking pictures – for example, finding a knife for cake cutting when our venue forgot, and helping late arrivals find their seats after our ushers were at the altar. It also helps that she and her husband are the nicest people – as you are probably working most closely with your photographer on your wedding day than any other vendor. Thanks again!!

I just recently got married on 8/16/14 I had a huge wedding of around 300 people. Jessica was recommended to us by a friend who LOVED their wedding photos and living in Washington DC I was hesitant at first because Jessica is located in New York but after they had showed me their wedding pictures and told me about their experience I knew I had to have her! and she does travel which is amazing! Jessica is very friendly and professional she is very responive with her emails and also does live web chats so you can actually meet and talk face to face. Jessica is very organized and I would call her a perfectionist because everything she does perfect. My Husband and myself, family and friends are all inlove with ALL of my wedding pictures. I FINALLY get to write a review for Jessica!! I have been waiting to write this review since my engagement shoot, as it was on that day that I knew I had chosen the PERFECT photographer. Jess really is perfect in every way.. she is talented, creative, sweet, smart and extremely passionate about her work. In my search for a wedding photographer I came across many talented photographers with wonderful portfolios, however I realized that some of those portfolios were only used to enhance their careers. Other photographers will take ages to give you your gallery or will disappear for weeks at a time once they've been paid. With Jess, this is NEVER an issue. Jess takes every single wedding/shoot very seriously. Her portfolio and AMAZING blogs are truly a reflection of what she will provide for you. Jess goes above and beyond her job and for this I will be eternally grateful. My wedding was an extremely important and special day in my life and I was so fortunate to have a photographer who took it as seriously as I did. During my wedding I glanced at Jess a few times and every single time she had a smile on her face. Jessica worked alone on May 10TH for my wedding out on Long Island. She was on time and detail oriented the entire day, she was flexable as to the time line and worked within our budget. As a photographer Jessica is knowledgable to making a variety of styles and images, it makes for a very enjoyable experience when looking through them and for the possibility of creating a great story through book. She stayed out of the way while still created good pictures and communicated with us throughout the whole day! Fantastic, humble no bullshit and uses Nikon!

At the actual wedding, her attention to detail is remarkable. She has a great eye for making beautiful photos. She captured every sentimental moment and made it look beautiful. We had both her and her husband working the wedding. It was great to have two photographers capture our event! We had a photobooth, which of course was a huge hit. Both Eric and Jess did such a fantastic job. Most of the time I did not even realize they were there. For the posed pictures, they made sure everyone looked their best but didn't get annoyingly fussy. They also were really great at being flexible with our style. We had a blast at our wedding and Jess and Eric not only captured it perfectly but contributed to the fun! I highly recommend her and our wedding guests loved her and her photos as well!

Jessica was very friendly and professional from the first time we spoke, and I was very impressed with her portfolio, so I was excited to have her for our wedding. She ended up being one of our favorite parts of the wedding! She was very patient and pleasant to work with, and she made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. Our engagement shoot was so much fun, and we couldn't be happier with the way the pictures turned out! Plus, she had them available for us pretty quickly. After the engagement shoot, we were SO happy we picked her! We had such a great experience and couldn't wait to see how the wedding pictures would come out.

She did an even more incredible job with the wedding! She was very organized and planned out a lot of details before the wedding day so everything went quickly and smoothly. She was always right there to get the pictures we wanted without ever being in the way of anything that was happening. She made sure we had time to sneak away before the wedding to take some pictures outside, and when it started raining, she was right there with an umbrella! She managed to get all the best photos without being conspicuous during the ceremony, and she was always right there when a great photo op came up! I couldn't wait to see all the pictures from the wedding. She got a slideshow preview up with the blog pretty quickly, and everyone kept telling us how great they looked! When all of the wedding pictures were available, they were not only stunning, but organized into galleries that made it easy to find each one, and clearly told the whole story of the night. Overall, I couldn't recommend Jess enough!

From the very beginning when we met with Jess to review her work, she was extremely accommodating. Several wedding photographers offer packages and are used to working with these guidelines. Since we only wanted certain pictures, and not the entire package, she was willing to work with us and create a package just for us within our budget.
She has a very organized business, and it is clear she knows the ins and outs of the wedding photography business.
When the day came, she was extremely dedicated to our wedding. Our ceremony was very early in the morning, and she stayed over the night before just to ensure she would be there with plenty of time! I was so happily surprised at how thoughtful and dedicated she was. All of our images came out beautifully, and she was very thorough to take pictures of all aspects at the wedding.

I received compliments from family members about how patient she was, and how she made her presence so subtle as most wedding photographers do not!

Most of all you can tell she is a very caring person, and committed herself fully to making sure we had an amazing day. I would (and have) recommend Jess to any bride! Thanks again Jess!

I am SO happy I chose Jess through our Central Park Wedding planner. Her portfolio was amazing, so she was my definite choice.

My husband and I had the best time with Jess! She is truly a professional. Taking photos with her on our wedding day was great and so much fun! Her shots and direction are easy to go with and none of them felt forced or awkward.

We used Jessica Schmitt Photography for a wedding photography in October 2013. Jessica and her crew were a pleasure to work with! Jessica was extremely professional and organized. She reached out to me prior to the wedding to get a list of the important photos and she was did not miss any of the ones on my list!

Another thing I would like to compliment Jessica on was her ability to get the portraits done in such a short period of time. We had our ceremony onsite and the cocktail hour took place right afterwards. Both my husband and I really wanted to attend the majority of our cocktail hour. Jessica was able to get the portraits done quickly, and we only missed about 15 minutes of the cocktail hour. This was much better than I'd expected, and I love all the beautiful portraits that were taken!

I love all of the wedding photographs and had a hard time selecting photos for the wedding album. I had to add extra pages to the album so I could include more of the photos! Thanks to Jessica and her team for doing such a wonderful job at our wedding!

Jess came recommended by friends who used her for their wedding and she definitely came through for us, too!

Travelling to DC and Virginia for us from NYC, Jess did both our engagement photos as well as our small wedding. Right from our first interactions by email and video chat, Jess made everything easy. She was organized, responsive, and flexible on timing and locations. She was extremely helpful with suggestions and with the right information at the right time.

On the business and contract side, everything professional and transparent. It was clear what her expectations were for us and what we could expect from her. I cannot stress enough that *every* interaction we had with Jess was positive and hassle-free.

It’s important to have a good rapport with your photographer and Jess was just so enthusiastic, easy-going, and authentic that it’s hard not to love her. It made it easy to take direction from her during posed shots. Even with the larger groups, she really brought out the best in people.

On our wedding day, Jess was on time and on target at all times. She was constantly there and doing her thing without ever hovering or imposing. If someone was making a weird face or was in an unflattering pose, she would make suggestions for the next shot but never said anything that was critical or that would bring the mood down.

Now the important part is, of course, the pictures. Ours turned out beautifully. Her shots were artistic without being overly artsy or self-indulgent, some classic black-and-white shots, vibrant colors, and clear shots in difficult lighting.

Jess has a blog where she'll post pictures from engagement sessions and weddings along with stories about how you met and details about the big day. Making time to tell our story to each other and to her and to relive our favorite moments from the wedding turned out to be another huge positive for us.
