We were so fortunate to have Jamie take our engagement and wedding photos. Besides the fact that she's a down to earth and sweetheart of an individual, her work is absolutely stunning. Best Decision, Best Photographer

I knew I wanted Jamie to photograph our wedding long before we even got engaged. Jamie is pure talent, but not only that, she’s extremely down to earth, fun and calming, and just all around the type of person you’d want hyping you up and capturing your day. She makes wedding photos fun and the way she captures the unposed and in-between moments is truly out of this world good. Book her for your wedding and she will make all your wedding photog dreams come true, I can promise that. We had pouring rain on our wedding day and Jamie did not miss a beat. She was efficient and hilarious and I’m so grateful I had her by my side to keep me calm and capture our most intimate day. We adore the heck out of you Jamie!

Our Dream Photographer

Working with Jamie was seamless. She was flexible through multiple weather mishaps for our engagement photos, prompt and so fun to work with. She makes you feel comfortable and it is easy to laugh with her. The end result of both our engagement and wedding photos was magical. It is everything we could have asked for and makes reliving our perfect day just as special every time around. I would work with her over and over again!

Jamie is a wonderful person & photographer!

My husband and I worked with Jamie for our September 2019 wedding and damn, she is the best. When we were choosing photographers we spoke to several on the phone. My husband and I both work full time and chatting with vendors was sometimes hard to schedule. Jamie had no problem setting up a call on Sunday to accommodate our schedule. From that first phone call, we knew we wanted to work with Jamie. She was laid back yet professional and fun yet detail oriented. A few months later we met in person for our engagement photos and we were not disappointed. Neither of us had ever had professional photos taken so to say we were awkward is an understatement. Jamie kept us calm with helpful cues and the photos showed that she know what she is talking about. On our wedding day the weather was horrible but it didn't stop Jamie (who was 7 months pregnant!!!) from getting amazing, unreal, beautiful photos. I'm talking photos that bring happy tears to our eyes when we look at them three months later. Throughout the day she (plus her second shooter, Cody, who was awesome) captured little moments and big moments alike. Jamie is truly an artist, she has a way of capturing moments and making them look like art! Lastly, Jamie is just an awesome, badass person who made us feel comfortable throughout the day and that was obvious when looking through our photos. Working with Jamie was worth every penny and more!

Amazing Experience

Amazing photographer!

Jamie was a dream to work with at our October wedding. Simply put - she takes incredible photos. Her images speak for themselves, but we were especially drawn to her keen eye for light and composition. Her approach is conversational, which made for relaxed and intimate images - nothing felt forced or too staged. We were so pleased with how our photos turned out! They were delivered quickly after our event in an easy-to-use viewing portal. I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you so much, Jamie!

Best photographer ever!

If you want the most incredible photos- book Jamie ASAP!! Jamie was super helpful and easy to work with leading up to the wedding, but she took it to a whole new level on the day of the wedding. She fit in so well with all of our family and friends (I had so many people comment on how awesome she was), made my husband and I feel totally comfortable taking photos, bustled my wedding dress before we were announced into the reception, got our wedding photos to us just a couple weeks after the wedding (unheard of!!), and gave us the most beautiful photos. Her photos go beyond just capturing people/moments; she has a way of capturing all the emotion of it so you can literally feel it as you look at the photos. I promised I'm not biased- we had family members pick up on the same observation as we shared photos with them. Words cannot begin to express how grateful we are that Jamie was part of one of the most important days of our lives.

I cannot recommend Jamie enough. From the moment we first spoke to Jamie and viewed her portfolio, we knew she was the perfect photographer for our small wedding in Acadia National Park. She exceeded all expectations with her exceptional photography, and she executed our vision perfectly. She captured even the most intimate moments of our special day flawlessly. In addition to being incredibly talented, Jamie is also so much fun to work with. She is very responsive, and she made us (and our entire wedding party) feel very comfortable and relaxed during pictures. We loved everything about working with Jamie!

When I began planning our wedding, photography was my first priority, even before we finalized our venue. I was a pretty relaxed bride, but I don't think I would have been if I hadn't been so confident that we were in amazing hands with our photographer. I was and continue to be thrilled and thankful that we got to work with Jamie. Jamie is incredibly responsive, kind, and, it almost goes without saying, talented. Jamie was amazing to work with. We chose the package including an engagement photo shoot and she was super flexible in meeting us in downtown Portsmouth where she asked us questions about ourselves and our wedding. Now that our wedding has come and gone I look back at our preparations and decisions and it is clear that getting our act together and hiring Jamie a year in advance of the wedding is the smartest thing we could have done. Go to Jamie's website and it is clear that she is a genius behind the lens. We were prepared to search far and wide for a photographer (which isn't necessary! Maine has many talented wedding photographers), but Jamie's work was exceptional. We are not super comfortable in front of a camera but during our engagement session and wedding we were at ease and had a ton of fun with Jamie, who has a big heart and a great sense of humor. Maine, and especially the property where we got married, is so special to us and we knew that Jamie would capture the spirit of the place. In fact, wherever Jamie shoots, her work always evokes the feeling of the environment. We treasure our engagement photos and are super excited to see the final product. Wherever you live, if you have a chance to hire Jamie to shoot your engagement, wedding, elopement, anniversary, or just-because photos, then (*Monopoly reference*) do not pass go, do not collect $200, just call her and book immediately. And enjoy every moment with her- we are honored and grateful that she could be a part of such a beautiful occasion with us.

Your wedding day is over in a heartbeat and you wish more than anything you could just stay a little longer, like waking too soon from a dream. Just a few more minutes, please! But then it’s over and months of planning starts to deconstruct. For me, there was this lingering sadness, a gnawing emptiness. But then, you start to see a faint glimmer as a few of your photos start to surface from your wedding. When I received the “sneak peaks” from Jamie, I swear I could feel that morning’s chill again and feel the damp mist on my face. I could feel the velvety soft petals of my bouquet and smell the earthiness of all the greens. When we received the complete collection of photographs from our wedding, we fell back in time and were in Maine on our day all over again. We instantly relived the excitement, anxiety, and love of that day. Like having an incomplete memory restored, bits of captured moments fell back into place. Jamie was our extra set of eyes - seeing everything and everyone. She gave us a chance to live new scenes and experiences through her photos. Her artistry is in capturing untouched moments – there is a raw beauty to her work which pulls at the senses and demands your eye’s attention. She is exceptional!

I am a huge fan of Jamie Mercurio and her work! She is such an amazing photographer, professional, and consultant. The best thing about her is how genuine she is. We first met up with Jamie the winter before our wedding in Portland at Oxbow’s tasting room. From that moment on, I was enamored with our photographer. She was so easy to talk to, not only about the wedding but about anything and everything. She not only became our photographer that day, but also our friend. When selecting a photographer, it's important to remember you're going to spend a LOT of time with that person. And it's not just normal time, it's time where you'll be stressed, uncomfortable, nervous, excited, and that photographer is gonna be by your side/in your face the whole time.

I could not asked for a better person to be by my side (except, I guess, for my husband!)

Jamie was flawless through the whole process. She's funny yet professional. She takes her craft seriously, but never got in the way of the action. She has her own artistic vision, but makes sure the photos she takes reflect each couple's unique personality.

Her photos are beautiful, of course, but those speak for themselves. Take a peek at her portfolio- every shot is stunning! I'll tell you what the photos can't. Jamie is the person you want sitting in the room while you're getting your makeup done. She's the person you want giving your arm a quick squeeze then taking one last shot before you walk down the aisle. She's the person you want trailing you on the dance floor, and she's the person you'll be begging to stay and have a beer with you after the reception.

Jamie will make you laugh, she'll make you feel comfortable, and she'll make you look beautiful. What more could you ask for?

Jamie is absolutely, completely and entirely THE BEST photographer we could have found for our wedding. I still cannot believe how lucky we were to have her capture all the special moments and subtle details of our day so wonderfully. Her warm and effervescent personality is infectious, and made both my husband and I, and our bridal party, and family and friends feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
Before we worked with Jamie, photos were NOT my favorite and I was honestly dreading being the main subject of them! But after the first few clicks of her camera during our engagement session, it was apparent she is not only unbelievable at capturing amazing shots, but also has a true gift for making people feel confident while being photographed. We instantly felt at ease and enjoyed every minute of it!
All the pictures she and her assistant took on the wedding day captured everything we hoped for and more. We will never forget the candid smiles between our family and friends or the loving glances we shared during our first moments as husband and wife because of her unparalleled ability to know exactly what pictures to take and when. She was able to put the love and warmth that we felt around us the entire day into her stunning photos, and to us, that is absolutely priceless.
We cannot recommend Jamie enough!

Jamie was awesome to work with, kept it very fun while managing to turn out some incredible pics. Super incredible pics. Prices were competitive for Portland market and definitely worth the money. She was very relaxed but made sure we got what we wanted and was flexible with our requests and patient with our belligerent guests. We couldn't have asked for better results and would highly recommend her for any occasion!

Jamie is one heck of a wedding photographer. Not only is she professional, she is also so much fun to work with!! My husband and I aboslutly LOVED working with Jamie! She was professional, creative and fun all the same time. She truly made me feel like I was the most beautiful bride in the world. I got engaged in March and was planning an August wedding so finding a photographer was a top priority. I had interviewed a few but did not feel comfortable. From the start Jamie's enthusiasm and attentive, but not pushy demeanor convinced me she was the right choice. She was very flexible and we created a unique plan for my wedding weekend that worked out well. I was a bit bewildered by all the craziness of the wedding, Jamie did a great job reading situations to come in for the close up and find something else to capture. I was so pleased with my photos - elegant, understated, not forced or cheesy. I would recommend her to any one, and she was especially great with the kiddos!

Finding Jamie was one of the biggest successes of our wedding planning.

First of all, Jamie was an absolute pleasure to be around. She was easy going, friendly and warm. She made us feel at ease with her, so we were at ease in our photos too.

Secondly, Jamie is a consummate professional. You are not getting a hobby photographer with her. She scheduled a session to make sure we both were a good fit for each other. She was in contact with us before the wedding to review photo goals and no-no's. She has a fair contract and was willing to work with us to amend a provision that we needed to change. She knows how to take you from the initial reach out to the end process. She turned around our photos in a VERY timely manner. Also, she was able to wrangle a very large crowd of non-English speakers for awesome group photos, which is no small feat.

Third and finally, her end result is gorgeous. Our photos are so beautiful. One of our friends who also got married and spent a lot more on her photographs has commented how beautiful our are literally every time I've seen her since last summer. Our photographs are an absolute treasure (and this is coming from someone who considered not having a photog at all!)

We loved Jamie and recommend her without reservations!

We were working with a relatively limited budget, and Jamie was willing to work within our budget.

Jamie photographed our July, Maine wedding. She is an awesome photographer and amazing person to work with before, during, and after the wedding. Very professional and personable. Even our guests were impressed with her!

Jamie was an absolute dream. Not only did she travel hours to my farmhouse backyard wedding, greet my family and bridesmaids as if they were her own, and help me do my make up (not her normal services, just overly generous and talented) but she actually made the hours leading up to my wedding less stressful and far more beautiful. Her work is exquisite and I recommend her to every bride to be I meet (acquaintance or not)! She is kind and brilliantly gifted.
