    Excellent value family dress shop

Jackie's Bridal helped me find a dress that met my needs at my relatively low price point (about $500, but there was more inventory at higher price points). I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced the alterations were (changing zipper back to corset back, attaching straps, adjusting the length, etc.) and how soon the altered dress was ready. For my wedding in January 2021, I purchased the dress in August 2020, got fitted the first weekend of December 2020, and then the dress was ready for pick up the following week. They also had veils, shoes, and other accessories available for purchase. Finally, it was a plus to be supporting a family business. It appeared the mother and daughter handled everything.

    Family tradition

Each of our loved ones gets her dress from here, and I was honored to have Jackie hand pick a dress for me (knowing my style) before I even arrived. It was a match the second she showed it to me! And her mother made each adjustment to give me the details I dreamed of in a wedding dress. Much love to you and your beautiful mama!

I walked into Jackie’s Bridal after leaving the nearby bridal salon that did not allow my MOH to take pictures of the dresses I tried on. (Yeah, I thought that was odd, too.) I was NOT looking to buy a dress that day which is why I intentionally did not make an appointment and left my debit card at home. I did this so that my MOH and I could look around without being hassled by any sales associates, and the time and attention could go to the brides who actually made an appointment. I walk in and say, “Hi. I don’t have an appointment, but still want to look around and see my options.” I was asked a few basic questions of wedding date, style and color. I was looking for off-the-shoulder, more form-fitting and champagne colored. She picked 3 dresses. When she picked that third dress, I gave my MOH some side-eye because this dress was ivory. I thought, “Did she not hear that I wanted a champagne-colored dress?”

And then I tried it on. I went to the three-way mirror and I just felt so comfortable in it. I didn’t have on Spanx or any type of heel because I wasn’t supposed to be getting a dress today.

Jackie pondered for a moment and said that she’d be right back. She found this very light blush veil with some slight beading on the edges. It was subtle; it was beautiful. When she secured the veil, the tears came. And I regretted leaving my debit card at home. My fiancé called and paid for it on the spot. I had my dress under 45 minutes.

From the intial fitting to the alterations and pick up, Jackie and her mom were professional, upbeat and just downright great. I never felt rushed or like a ‘number’. Jackie listened to what I said, but also knew what would look best for my body type. Their prices are competitive, and the personable customer service exceeded any and all expectations.

When my wedding finally came around, I was very pleased with my dress! I wanted to try a Maggie Sottero dress, so I came here. My mom was shopping with me, and we both loved the personal attention you got from this store. I had been to a good amount of bridal stores with my mom, and found the experience to be very stressful - the salesperson pressuring me, trying to rush and get the sale, etc. At Jackie's I didn't feel that way. They helped me find the perfect dress! I didn't want a strapless dress, but they told me they could always add that on if I liked the rest of the dress - and they did! Jackie's mom added a halter to my dress and tied in the crystalling so that it blended beautifully. I got soooo many complements on my dress and really felt beautiful on that day.

I choose Jackie's Bridal because Jackie and her mom were able to help me find the perfect dress. When I originally came in the store I had my heart set on a ballgown. After discussing it with the two of them I realized that it wasn't the best dress for my shape. The ladies were able to steer me in the right direction and help me find the dress of my dreams.

The day of the wedding I received so many compliments from friends and family about the dress. I actually had four people tell me that they had never seen a more beautiful dress.

I'm so thankful that I chose to do business with Jackie's bridal.

I loved Jackie's Bridal on Harlem Ave. They were so accommodating and made me feel wonderful and beautiful every time I went in to try on my dress. They have gotten a bad rap on some websites, but the quaintness of the shop I really enjoyed. There's only one (maybe two) people trying on dresses at a time and they let you stand in the middle of the shop with lovely lighting and large mirrors. Just wonderful!

Overall, I had a wonderful experience with Jackie's Bridal. They can come off as rude and extremely blunt, but the service and responsiveness is great! My dress arrived 3 months before the estimated date, the measurements were perfect. The alterations on my dress could have been disastrous, due to the details on the lace, fortunately nothing was damaged. I would recommend this to any bride who wants personalized attention.

Work with Gulia! She was so fun and honest with me. She was completely up front about pricing and tried to help me stay within budget as much as possible. I absolutely love my dress, and they made the whole experience great.

I would recommend this Bridal Shop on the Northwest Side of Chicago on Harlem Ave. I had a dress in mind that I found in a magazine and Jackie (the owner) was very helpful in finding it for me. She said as long as it was one of normal vendors that she could get me anything. So that might be a problem for some. But they were very helpful at all of the fittings and in advice. The only problem is that it's run my a mom and daughter so if there's few people in there at a time, you have to be patient. Overall, I was very pleased.

Jackie's was one of bridal stores I went to in search for my gown. They have a huge collection :) I didn't end up getting my dress from there but can't say anything bad. My friend got her dress from here and was thrilled :) it was perfect!

Great place - expensive dresses and accessories but it was worth it. I looked like a princess and the staff did everything they could on their end to make sure I did.

Dresses in the store are indeed gorgeous. I couldn't find such beautiful dresses in any other place. The ladies in the store are nice and fun, very knowledgeable, however the one who took care of me was too pushy towards sales. Especially I didn't like when she told me that she was making an exception for me to take a dress off of a mannequin so that I could try it on because she knew I wouldn't buy that model (it was over my budget).
Then my dress arrived over one week late what made a great deal. And finally, after wearing the dress approximately 8 hours at our wedding, half of the back buttons fell off. All Maggie Sottero dresses are sewn in China but for that price and wait time I would expect them to be of a better quality.

I bought my dress and a pair of wedding shoes at Jackie's. In regard to the dress, I give Jackie's Bridal all 5 stars. The stars above indicate the review for the shoes.

Dress: I was shocked at how fast and easy both Jackie and her mother helped me find a wedding gown. I felt so beautiful in the dress the day I found it, and even more beautiful on my wedding day.

Jackie's mother was the one who did the alterations. Extensive alterations were NOT needed on my dress. All that needed to be altered was the length and make the neckline a sweetheart neckline. When we came for the final fitting, everything on the dress was perfect.

Shoes: I ordered a pair of shoes from Jackie's after I purchased my dress. The shoes I tried on were white satin with white rhinestones. Jackie assured me the shoes could be ordered in red.

When the shoes came in, I was surprised when she showed me white shoes. I told her I ordered red shoes and she said she has to dye the shoes. Not once, before I ordered the shoes was I informed the shoes needed to be dyed! When I came to pick the shoes up, they were pink. The color was also rubbing off on my feet. I called the manufacturer who made the shoes and was told that style was unable to be dyed. After much back and forth, Jackie told me she couldn't refund my money but would order another pair of white shoes. 3 weeks before my wedding and I didn't know if I would get the shoes in time. I ordered a pair of red shoes off the internet, just in case, and if they didn't fit well, I would wear the white shoes from Jackie's if they arrived in time.

In the end, I ended up with 2 pairs of shoes, and wore the red ones. Jackie wouldn't return the white ones, even though she didn't dye them. I was extremely disappointed that I had to eat the money when she could have easily returned them to the manufacturer.

Buy your dress here, not shoes!

    Do not go here

I have never experienced such bad customer service!! We ordered our bridesmaid dresses here. I decided to have it altered there for convenience (since I had to already go out there to pick it up I would only have to take one more trip to get it after the alterations). It was more pricey than what my friend paid for the same alterations elsewhere ($65 vs $45) but I figured it’s worth it for the convenience. When I came back to get my dress it looked as if they barely adjusted the bust. It was still extremely loose. The seamstress was not there so the owner Jackie pinned it for a second adjustment. I could not believe they didn’t do it correctly on the first attempt. I had to come back a third time and it still wasn’t done right! It was still very loose. They offered to fix it in a way that takes 10 minutes but doesn’t look as good or a way that takes 90 minutes but I would have to come back. I absolutely could not come back given I like 45 minutes away, had conflicts, a newborn at home, and the wedding was one week away. I just opted for the faster version but am not fully satisfied. This alteration was not worth $65 at all. I’ve been a bridesmaid about 15 times and haven’t needed more than one adjustment anywhere else and haven’t had to pay as much either. I talked to the owner Jackie and told her this was such a hassle and requested at least a discount for this. She kept telling me that my body changed because I had a baby. How does she know what my body is doing? My weight and dimensions have been exactly the same since I came in the first time. She refused to provide any price adjustment. If I knew I would have had to come in so many times and not get alterations I was happy with I would have gone elsewhere. Additionally the seamstress kept commenting on how flat I was and that if she made it tighter I would “look like a little girl.” This place is ridiculous and run by someone who doesn’t care for her customers. I will ensure none of my friends come here.

ZERO STARS!!!! I purchased the first dress i tried on from here. When it finally arrived i went for my first fitting. The whole dress was dirty on the bottom and they said its because they just cleaned their carpets. Really? So your dragging my $3000 dress through your whole store?? Annoyed i went home. When i came back for my second fitting the dress was still dirty and they wanted $300 for alterations. I decided to go to my tailor who was sewing my bridesmaid dresses and she said she will charge me $100. When i got to her she zipped me up and noticed a big hole around the zipper!! The reason i didn't notice this hole the previous times is because they would also zip me up. I am so upset i paid $3000 for this dress and A. it was dirty and B. ripped!! I would not recommend this place for anyone!!!!! Also, the veils are expensive i paid $700 for two one short one and one long one. For veils i would go to davids bridal. Some dress advice- if your dress will have sequin/rhinestones on the top of your dress dont get a veil with rhinestones outlining your veil because for me my veil kept getting stuck on my dress.- GOOD LUCK!

POINT OF MY STORY DO NOT COME HERE!
