THE Wedding Planner of South Florida
There are not enough words to thank Jackie and her team for all that she did to make my daughter's wedding spectacular and perfect! She worked tirelessly for a year to bring my daughter's vision to life. Do not be fooled by some planners who are not involved in the entire scope of work necessary to plan a wedding. She coordinates all of the vendors, including, the venue, the band, photographer, videographer, flowers and decor, hair and make up, all rentals, printed materials and ANYTHING that you need. She is calm, thorough, and extremely detail oriented. Jackie is incredibly talented at putting together all of the design elements for the wedding. Many planners do not have the design background that is essential in this line of work. Many planners are great at organizing the day, but not at the full scope of planning. When you hire Jackie, you get Jackie, not just someone on her team. She is actively apart of your wedding planning. Often, she would return my emails in the middle of the night. Her fee is extremely reasonable for all that she does for you. It was the easiest bill we paid!! Make sure you compare apples to apples when comparing planners. She creates these very detailed timelines for production that goes out to all vendors, a timeline for entire day, beginning with when hair and make up begin, to when photography begins and what pictures are taken when begin to walking down the aisle, to every 5 minutes throughout the evening to ensure the band is on track, the food comes out timely and is organized with speeches, first dance, etc. She leaves nothing to chance. All I can say is Jackie Bressler Events hands down is THE wedding planner to use. I have a background in hospitality so I am speaking professionally and personally when I say this. I have another daughter getting married next year so I get the opportunity to work with her again. I don't know what I will do after the second wedding is over, she is just an absolute joy and has become an important person in my family's life! -

Jackie Bressler Events made our event beyond EPIC!
Jackie Bressler Events did a phenomenal job planning my daughter’s bat mitzvah. We used her full planning RockStar service and she truly made my daughter feel like a Rockstar! Jackie worked tirelessly to make sure everything came together smoothly. She only used the best, most professional venders for invitations, logos, décor, florals, music, photography, videography, and entertainment. She took our Madeline storybook theme and transformed the venue into a spectacular night in Paris that both adults and teens enjoyed! Their unique entertainment and decor ideas made the party unforgettably special. When I asked my children to describe the party, they said unbelievably awesome, nonstop fun, epic, and from the bat mitzvah girl- absolute perfection! Need I say more?
On a side note, Jackie and her team were miracle workers. Our party that started with a 300 person guest list was down to 200 when all RSVP's were in. Unfortunately, by Wednesday March 11th the guest count was down to 150 guests because of flight restrictions. Unfortunately due to health concerns, we had 25 more guests cancel on Friday. On Saturday, the day of the event, we had at least 20 more guests cancel! Jackie to able to revamp the room to make sure it did not look empty! I was so grateful that no one knew our guest count went down by 100 guests within a matter of days! Even in this crisis she pulled off an amazing party! -

Kerri Sent on 08/28/2018WOW does not even explain my daughter's wedding that Jackie Bressler Events produced for us. From the moment we met Jackie one and a half years before her wedding date, we knew she was the event planner for us because of her calm girl cool and business savvy boss lady vibe. The recommendations we received didn't even come close to the actual experience we had with Jackie. She treated us like a sister, mother, dearest aunt and best friend. She listened attentively to all our ideas and made them all happen! We had many meetings throughout the event planning and design process, as well as thousands of emails, texts and inspirational photos sent back and forth. She remembered every detail, enhanced on some of our ideas and made my daughter's dream wedding a reality!
Jackie is true lady and a consummate professional. Her staff and vendor contacts are top notch. They all seamlessly worked together to create a perfect and unforgettable event that my entire family and my daughter's new family will cherish for a lifetime! I look forward to planning more events with Jackie Bressler and her staff! -

We chose to work with Jackie because she came highly recommended from people we knew who had planned events with her previously. We liked her right away because she is young, current, and completely in-the-know of the event industry. Jackie is not the regular type of "Pinterest wedding planner" because she truly thinks outside the box. She is highly organized and pays meticulous attention to every detail. She listened attentively to all of our ideas and made it happen! We had MANY meetings throughout the process, as well as thousands of emails and texts and she answered ALL of the them quickly and professionally without being flustered or annoyed.
Jackie and her team, Sharon and Michelle, are beyond professional, attentive, timely, welcoming and personable. We felt comfortable telling them all of our needs, concerns, dreams and desires and they made it all happen! Jackie Bressler and her events team really do a spectacular job of throwing a very special event! Now that our wedding is over we am sad that we don’t have anything to text or email Jackie about!! I highly recommend Jackie Bressler Events. -

Our wedding was a few months ago and now that I have had some
time to breath I can finally sit down and review my vendors. I will try to make this as thorough as possible.
Pros: My wedding was small ( 100 people). I tried to keep things simple by eliminating a bridal party. I hired a wedding planner for two reasons. I was working a very busy schedule during the initial planning stages and I don't have any immediate family where I live to assist me. I vendor referrals and help with designing the decor for the reception. Of course I needed assistance with the actual planning but there are many planners available in this business so I was seeking someone who also had a background in design element which is why I choose JBE. Her team was very responsive and thorough with the details of the wedding. They kept me on task and made themselves readily available. They also provided multiple planning tools with respect to the guest list and seating chart that were user friendly and really cut down on any additional stress. On my wedding day they kept everyone on task and did a great job of keeping things in order.
Cons;
As I mentioned before my purpose in hiring a wedding planner was assistance with the design elements and selection of vendors. My expectation is that when you hire a wedding planner they should be advocating for you as you are the client. Due to miscommunication between myself and the florist that was referred to me by the planner, I was told my flowers would cost $1250 more than what I was originally quoted (see my florist review) a few months before my wedding. I was informed that my options were to pay the money to get what I originally asked for or settle for a version of it. Since I placed the order 7 months prior, my budget had already been accounted for and spending that extra money would've resulted in sacrificing other aspects of the decor, which was the most important aspect of the wedding. While the dispute was primarily with the vendor and not the planner, the bottom line is the vendor was referred by JBE and I felt they sided with the vendor. As I stated above, your wedding planner should be advocating and negotiating for you.
I was put in a position of having to search for a florist I had to find 28 days before my wedding (What are you paying people thousands of dollars for?) which was a huge risk. I found three florist (all of whom told me that I was being overcharged). I hired one without the luxury of having to see a sample in advance. Unfortunately the centerpieces began to wilt on my wedding day and I was informed an hour before my wedding by JBE that my centerpeices were a disaster. I have to say this is entirely inappropriate to say to a bride right before she walks down the aisle. I will say JBE did some quick improvising and the centerpieces looked fine.
In addition I also spent time looking for alternatives for rentals because their preferred vendors were grossly overpriced. I did not feel like JBE was willing to put in the effort to search for vendors that were more in line with my budget. I got the impression that most of the vendors where on the higher end with their pricing and JBE was not very flexible in terms of having vendors for those with a lower budget. To be fair, the company did warn me of budget constraints when we had our initial consultation but I do not consider a $50,000 wedding for about 100 people to be necessarily cheap.
Overall everything worked out. The most important thing is the fact that your a marrying someone you love. Not the wedding. However, you should get what you pay for. I did not when you consider that amount I paid for a planner I and still had to find a new florist as a result. My advice to brides is to research vendors on your own and do not solely rely on a planner. Many of them have long term relationship with each other and those relationships may cost you.
With regards to JBE specifically, if you are having a large budget then JBE is ideal. If you are spending $50,000 or less keep looking as there are several wedding planners on this site that have excellent reviews that are more experienced at working with couples in that price range.
