J.Darren captured the moments

Jeff at J.Darren Photography captured our wedding day beautifully. We had a non-traditional venue and event flow, but Jeff understood the vision right away and was able to jump in and capture every little moment of the wedding. His use of light and ability to capture people’s personalities is fantastic. When we look back at the photos of our wedding we feel like we’re right back in the moment. Learning to Dance in the Rain

Working with Jeff was an absolute pleasure. Jeff was able to capture beautiful moments of our family in photos that I will treasure forever. Jeff communicated very well, answering all my questions throughout the process promptly. He is also extremely flexible, as we had a thunderstorm during the ceremony and reception. Jeff had prepped us with a plan in case this were to happen, and the photos demonstrate his preparation and planning skills. Jeff was in the rain, on the dance floor, and running around the Church. Wonderful Experience

We couldn’t be happier with our choice to have Jeff as our photographer, for both our engagement shoot in Greensboro, as well as our wedding at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church in September. From our first meeting, he was incredibly patient and took the time to truly understand what was important to us. Jeff spent over an hour with us during our initial appointment, listening to every detail and allowing us to design shots that held the most meaning. Well worth hiring!

Jeff was amazing to work with throughout our engagement, wedding day, and beyond! He accommodated our requests and traveled to Raleigh for our engagement shoot and Elkin for our venue to do my bridal shoot and our big day. We had a phone interview with him, where he thoroughly explained his process, and a typical day-of plan, and answered all of our questions. For all the shoots, he was sure to include our ideas. He was always on time and communicated well with us and our coordinator, and he and his assistant were both very professional and prepared. After the wedding, while we were waiting for our photos we experienced a death in the family, and Jeff sent us a few photos, within hours, that we could use at the service. We are in love with our pictures, and them back within 8-weeks. We highly recommend you use Jeff as your wedding photographer!

Amazing wedding photographer

Jeff was our wedding photographer for our spring wedding, and he did a wonderful job! He was patient, open to suggestions, and truly cared about making sure our wedding photos were exactly how we envisioned. Jeff is also a lot more reasonably priced than many wedding photographers in the area, even with all the experience he brings. He met with us about a month before the wedding to make sure he understood and flow of the day and which photos we wanted to prioritize. We are so grateful for his excellent work on our wedding day and the beautiful photos he delivered. My husband and I wholeheartedly recommend Jeff Darren!

Jeff documented our wedding day phenomenally. His package prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of work. We got over 900 images of our wedding day and they're all so beautiful I'm going to have a hard time deciding which ones to put in our album! Even though I'm a slacker and didn't make a shot list (sorry 😬) Jeff knew exactly which family shots to take. He was even able to recreate a photo from my parents' wedding almost 40 years ago without a reference shot (again, my bad). I can't wait to share my photos with my friends and family. We'll definitely call him again for any photography needs.

We Made the Right Choice

Jeff was a pleasure to work with. When I first called him, we had no clue what our day was going to look like, knowing only that we had to have a church, food, and someone to take pictures. He guided me through what he expected and didn't list prices until the end of our 45 minute call, unlike every other photographer who listed their packages and hung up. On Saturday (our wedding), he was there bright and early and got loads of pictures all day. He was very attentive and got pictures of all of our big moments. We just can't wait to see them! Finally, he was very accommodating of a member of our wedding party with epilepsy and took great care to avoid unnecessary flash and to use more natural lighting wherever possible. We would strongly recommend you hire Jeff for your wedding.

The Best Decision I made as a bride!

Jeff was the best decision we made in our entire wedding process. He was very professional and experienced during all our shoots. We did our wedding and engagement photos with Jeff, not only do I love them, I get comments all the time about how great the photos are. He has a very keen eye for angles and lighting that will get you photos you will cherish. We loved our experience with J. Darren Photography! Jeff was very easy to work with - he responded very quickly to communication, modified our package to exactly what we wanted (we only needed 3 hours for our wedding & he still managed to get us 1000 photos!), & got us our photos in a timely manner. On the day of, he arrived early to set up and was very efficient in getting the photos we wanted while making sure they were high quality. We even had 2 dogs to include in our photographs and he did great with them. The lighting in all our photos is perfect, he had lots of creative ideas, and we absolutely love our photos. We would highly recommend Jeff for a wedding or any other photography needs!

Wonderful Experience

Jeff is incredible. The past reviews say it all - he is beyond patient, calm, kind, and a wonderful photographer. He worked with us on rescheduling our engagement session multiple times. Fantastic!!

We used Jeff in November 2021for engagement photos and in April 2022 for our wedding! Just is super easy going and works very hard to give you the exact moments you want captured for your special day! We are so happy with the photos from both sessions and will definitely be using him for any future shoots! When weather or clouds are not cooperating, Jeff has a plan B for your initial plan A! He is also patient with working with antsy toddlers that are not always apt to cooperate!

If you want the best, hire Jeff

Hire Jeff now! He was absolutely incredible to work with and there is no way I'm going to be able to capture all the reasons why without writing a full dissertation. Not only is Jeff personable and great to work with (he is SO easy going and keeps a calm demeanor even when the surroundings are hectic), he has a good eye for unique shots, and was 1000% on top of all the requests I gave for photo "must haves" (which was a lot considering my immediate family is 20 people....). Unlike other vendors, I didn't have to give a single thought to Jeff the day of the wedding and he got the job done well and quickly. We had over a dozen children in our wedding party and Jeff got nearly every one to look at him for the picture. He was very flexible when we needed to reschedule our engagement shoot (twice! oops....) and I LOVE that you get so many photos back! That gives me the opportunity to decide which ones are my favorite out of similarly done photos. You get a convenient link to a gallery so you can easily send it to your VIPs to download/order prints as well. I could go on and on, but truly 10/10 would hire Jeff again in a heartbeat! Not only an amazing photographer, but you can just tell that he's "good people" :)

We have worked with Jeff on numerous occasions and he has become like family to us. He is extremely patient, we have a now 1.5 year old he photographed from birth up until recently, for our wedding. Jeff Is the Photographer to Hire!

My wife and I were so happy with Jeff’s work and his professionalism. While we were looking for photographers, we looked at several photographers, and Jeff stood out to us. We felt that his pictures were a cut above, and we liked his positive attitude and his attentiveness to our preferences. Jeff was kind enough to meet with us several times on Zoom to talk with us about what pictures we wanted for our wedding, which we really appreciated. He printed the list out on the wedding day and was able to get all the shots that we wanted. He was patient with us even with our unique photo requests. He was excellent at directing people in each of the photos in order to perfectly capture each of the shots that we envisioned. Another thing we really appreciated was that he sent our photos to us several weeks earlier than promised. It was such a joy to relive our day with the pictures that he photographed so perfectly. Kind, accommodating, and so talented!

We are beyond happy with everything Jeff did for our wedding. He was incredibly understanding with changes we had to make due to COVID19 and so flexible; the day-of was hectic and a little unorganized on our end because we had to re-arrange so much but Jeff just rolled with it and produced some beautiful pictures. He was so nice and helpful! There are some really creative pictures from the wedding that we are in love with. He was able to take a lot a wonderful shots even though we had a very short ceremony with just family. People have been shocked (and impressed) that the photos were taken in a backyard; he utilized the woods beside the house and angled it so that you can't even see the houses around. It made the day feel extra special. I'm so glad Jeff was our photographer and we will definitely be reaching out to him again if any other photography needs come up. We highly recommend him!

Amazing work! He is just a great person to work with.

Jeff made sure we were comfortable,he is very friendly and made sure to get our ideas and input during and after section. . Jeff did an amazing job in both sections we had with him, our engagement and an after wedding shoot which included my bridals. Due to COVID-19, we had to cancel our beach wedding, so we decided to just get married at the court house and do a photo shoot. Jeff did such a great job and was so patient with my fur baby!! Fantastic Photographer

My husband and I had booked Jeff for our wedding 09/05/20 where we originally planned for 40 guests. Due to Covid, we had to change everything from the location to number of guests. Extremely easy to work with!

Jeff was great from start to finish! He is very responsive and super accommodating when scheduling a place and time for engagement photos and payment. He and his assistant did a fantastic job, catching so many candid moments! Never once did I see either of them sit down they were up and moving around getting all angles. We loved working with Jeff. He's very experienced, so planning things like when to start photos and deciding which photos we wanted him to take was incredibly easy. He was remarkably patient with our family members who were trying to take photos while he worked (sorry about my aunt, Jeff!) and he was flexible enough to work our dog into some shots. Jeff's participation in our wedding was seamless, he was always around, but never in the way or calling attention to himself. Our pictures were beautiful, arrived when promised, and Jeff captured moments that we otherwise would have missed.

Amazing work. Great Eye. Polite and Responsive.

Jeff was great to work with! He was extremely professional and organized. He kept in great contact and was very responsive to emails throughout the planning process. He also met with us in person a couple of time before the wedding. During the ceremony and reception he was very much unnoticeable and out of the way. During our couples portraits he made us feel very relaxed and comfortable. We had a large family and a lot of photos to get through between the ceremony and the reception where our guests were waiting, but he got through them all very quickly, and was super organized. He even got all of the little ones (age infant - 4) to look at the camera at the same time in every photo they were in. He adapted well to our changing schedule as things shifted a lot when the wedding ran behind. He was really great! He has a good eye and captured so many beautiful moments. The day goes by so fast it is really wonderful to have these photos. He has lots of great creative ideas. He was flexible, and polite, and just perfect. We could not have picked a better photographer. It took a while to get our photos back (our wedding was at the beginning of peak season), but they were well worth the wait. We recieved over 1000 lovely photos. Hire him. You will not regret it.

Wonderful wedding photographer

We hired Jeff after a wedding photographer we had booked more than 8 months in advance mysteriously vanished just 4 months before the wedding. Perhaps this was a blessing in disguise, as Jeff turned out to be a fantastic choice. As we live in a different state from where we held our wedding, we booked him after two phone calls to discuss his packages and decide on which would be best for us. The package we booked--which was very reasonably-priced compared to most other photographers in the area--included an engagement session, and Jeff was very helpful in suggesting places where we could have the pictures taken. The turn-around for those was lightning-quick, and we were even able to use them in some of our wedding stationary and decor. A few weeks before the wedding, we had another phone call with Jeff to go over the timing of the day; he helped us decide when we needed to arrive at the venue and how to structure the schedule of events so that we would have time to get in all the pictures we wanted. He also made sure to get a list of the portraits we wanted taken. The day of the wedding, Jeff and Hannah, our second shooter, were extremely patient with unexpected delays and took great care to capture all the details of our wedding. Jeff had many ideas for great poses and took care to get all of the portraits we had requested. We received the photos after seven weeks and are overjoyed with how they turned out. Jeff and Hannah captured so many special moments, and we will cherish the photos and the memories they embody for many years to come.

BEAUTIFUL Graduation Pictures!

Jeff is an all around GREAT photographer. I reached out to his to see if he could help with Graduation pictures for my daughter. We wanted something more than the typical school pictures. Priceless Memories

When selecting your photographer, you probably aren't thinking about this being the last time certain family members are going to be professionally photographed. That was definitely true for me as my main objective was finding someone that could do a certain kind of photography for our wedding needs within a good budget range. While I'm happy to say that my objectives were fulfilled by choosing J. Darren Photography, I'm happier to say that some of my last moments with my grandmother were captured. Our family never saw her massive stroke coming. Being able to re-live my wedding through the photography and to see her happy, was priceless.

Great Experience

I had an amazing experience

Jeff was extremely professional and attentive to all of our needs. Weddings can be chaotic at times and Jeff knew how to keep our photography schedule on track. He also has a great eye for still shots and I got some really great photos. I also got a mix of Black and white pics.

Engagement Session

My fiancé and I were looking for an engagement photographer in the area, and we requested quotes from quite a few photographers. Jeff’s portfolio quality and reasonable price won us over. He was the quickest to respond, and offered great suggestions for location. On the day of the shoot, he was very easygoing and made us feel so comfortable. I was worried that we would look awkward in our photos, as neither of us is used to being in front of the camera. With Jeff’s direction, the shoot was fun, natural, and easy. I was thrilled when I saw our online gallery – the pictures are AMAZING. I can’t wait to use them for our save-the-dates and in our home. Jeff was the perfect photographer for our intimate wedding. We found him through friends who had a big wedding we attended about a year ago and fell in love with his ability to catch genuine and candid moments. We are IN LOVE with our wedding photos. Jeff Darren Photography did an outstanding job on our daughter's wedding at the Villa de l'Amour in High Point this past May! We are so thrilled with the results! Jeff was present from the beginning with the bride getting dressed, to the very end, when they left with the sparkler sendoff. Jeff's photos were creative, timely, sensitive, emotional....and just beautiful i every respect. He captured so many wonderful memories for us. Jeff was amazing to work with. He works with you and makes your wedding photos look amazing. He calls you about a few weeks before the big day to go over the whole day with you in details. You can also give him photos and poses that you would like to do with your wedding party. After we had to reschedule and change the location of our wedding with an eight-week notice we had to find a new photographer as well. Based on a referral from a local wedding planner we got in touch with Jeff Darren. He has been very responsive and great to work with from the beginning. He was flexible with the time we booked him for the wedding day and went over the schedule and our must-have photos with us in advance. During the day of the wedding he was awesome guiding us through the wedding party pictures. All reception pictures were beautiful and captured the vibe of the evening perfectly. He was never straight in anyone’s face, so everyone felt comfortable just being themselves. He delivered the pictures faster then expected. We couldn’t have made a better choice for our wedding photographer.

Jeff is the most flexible and amazing photographer you will find. I cannot recommend Jeff highly enough! He was extremely responsive from the get-go and always answered any questions I had right away! He spent an hour+ on the phone with me a couple of weeks before the wedding to nail down day-of timing, to ask if I had any shot preferences, and to answer any questions or concerns I had.

The day of my wedding, he arrived a bit early to get everything scoped out and he was absolutely wonderful the entire day. One of my mom's pet peeves is when a photographer is too distracting at a wedding and she said she never even noticed him all day! His vision for each and every shot was so well thought-out and he beautifully captured every single minute of our day. Any couple would be lucky to have Jeff photograph their wedding!

I have never worked with a professional photographer until my wedding and I think I literally found the best one. He is so sweet and on top of things. You never don't know what is going on, he never forgets a detail and he never ever misses a meeting. Needless to say, out of all of our vendors he is the only one we 100% trusted and 100% counted on. Jeff was with us for my wedding and when it was time for my little sister to get married, who was the firat contact she asked for? You guessed it! J Darren Photography! Jeff is there from start to finish to capture every last detail of your big day. J Darren Photography doesn't stop there either: that photo of your little niece twirling around, your crazy grandpa cutting a rug, the first teardrop your dad sheds when he sees his little girl. If that is the kind of memories you would like preserved from your big day, then this is the man foe the job! Now 4 years later looking back at my photos I still am finding little details that this man was able to capture that I didn't get to see because I was off in another direction. Four years later and the photo of my husband's reaction when I walked down the aisle, i still get a rush of emotions when i see it. Four years later and people still tell me who amazing our photos are and how they didn't even notice a photographer there during all that time. That is a huge thing y'all, you want people enjoying their selves so the photographer can get the true shot. One of the few things my husband and I wanted to splurge on for our wedding was a great photographer. We were so excited when we found Jeff. He was incredibly accommodating to our needs and full filled everything we ever could have asked for. We had some friends of ours get married a little over a year ago and their photographer was horrendous. Not only was he bad, but they had to wait 6 months to get any of their photos. Because we were married at the beginning of the big wedding season, Jeff was able to get our photos to us within the week. AND THEY WERE SO VERY BEAUTIFUL. He is incredibly talented and an all around great person to work with. He made our day so much more special by making sure he took pictures of everything he possibly could. In the end I wouldn't even say we had to splurge on Jeff, between his wonderful work and such reasonable prices for what you get, I would say we really lucked out in finding him.

Jeff was absolutely fantastic to work with for my wedding. He was easy to get a hold of and super responsive via email. We spent some time talking through on the phone what kinds of pictures I absolutely wanted and we worked out a timeline of the day so things would go smoothly.
Jeff showed up a little early the day off so check out the venue and make sure our game plan would still work. We were getting married on a farm and it was looking like rain so we improvised a little on our original plan and he assured me that we would still be able to get lots of amazing pictures. He was super friendly and seamlessly blended into the background. He captured all the special moments getting ready and worked tirelessly to get extra shots.
My guests were so impressed by how hard he was working that many actually mentioned it to me at the reception. He was always in a good mood and stayed until the very end of the night. I can’t recommend him enough.
He was able to get our pictures back to us very quickly and we were so happy with how they turned out. It is truly priceless to have that most amazing day captured in photos that we can look at for years to come. Thank you Jeff!

I cannot even begin to express what an AMAZING photographer Jeff is. He was very responsive to emails and his personality was so easygoing and sweet. We hired him for both engagement photos and our wedding. During the engagement, he made us feel so comfortable it felt as if a long time friend was photographing us instead of someone we had just met. He put no limit on the time or the number of photos he took and he has such great ideas for pictures. For our wedding, he was there ALL day and not once did we feel like he was in the way. When we received our photos back, there were so many, it took over an hour to get through them all. We cannot believe how much detail he captured and how gorgeous the quality of the pictures were. He caught so many memories that I didn't even notice were going on. It seems like he was everywhere at once. I am so grateful that we had him for our special day. We had a wonderful experience with J. Darren Photography. We had engagement photos done and loved them! We used them for our save the dates as well as for other photographs (and a canvas) around the venue for the wedding. We loved Jeff and thought he was a great fit for us. Jeff photographed our whole wedding day. He was there all day and got some really great shots. I'm organized and had a whole list. He brought the list and checked off each photograph as it was completed. I loved that he got my pinterest inspired shots too. I paid for an additional assistant so that we could photograph two places at once (so worth it!). I loved the assistant and was very happy with Jeff's choice on that. Jeff was all we could have hoped for in a wedding photographer! From day 1 he was extremely responsive to emails, which makes the whole planning process go much smoother and he was very calm and collected on the day of the wedding! He was able to get every picture I asked for along with SO many others, and they are all absolutely amazing. What was really cool was, we forgot he was even around during the reception! He was able to capture great moments without bugging us all night to pose here and there, which was amazing. The number of great photos we have from the day is incredible, we are going to have a difficult time picking favorites for our album! And, he got us our pictures back in less than 4 weeks... during peak wedding season! Unbelieveable! I don't think I could possibly say enough positive things about Jeff! From the very beginning he was very professional, happy to answer any questions and always replied to my emails/calls in a very timely manner.

My story is also a little unique, and Jeff was great through it all. My dad was diagnosed with metastatic bladder cancer about a month after I got engaged. As my wedding day grew closer, my dad's condition started to deteriorate pretty rapidly. I finally talked my dad into moving the wedding ceremony up, just so he could be there to give me away. Once he agreed, my sisters and family put together a beautiful wedding in a mere 24 hours. With only a days notice, I knew it was a long shot, but I decided to ask Jeff if there was any way he could come to photograph this wedding, as I knew that these would be some of the last pictures I would have of my dad. Jeff was so wonderful and happily agreed to come. I cannot describe how truly beautiful these pictures turned out and how quickly Jeff got them back to me so I had a chance to show them to my dad. My dad passed away two weeks later, and just three weeks before my actual wedding date. For my actual wedding day, Jeff was there with his assistant to capture every moment and detail. He was very translucent and I never felt like I was being followed around by a photographer. I am excited to see these pictures, I am sure they will be just as wonderful as the ones from the first ceremony!

Overall, Jeff was a pleasure to work with. Not only does he do amazing work and take great photos, he is willing to do whatever it takes to capture the moment. I highly recommend him to anyone and I could not be more pleased with my experience!

Jeff was all around great to work with! He was very responsive and always responded back to me within minutes of me reaching out to him. We didn't have many creative ideas on pictures we wanted to we gave Jeff the flexibility to kind of do his own thing, and it was great! He captured all the beautiful moments of our day plus some! The best part was the timing. Jeff asked that we allow 6-8 weeks before we got our photos and he had them to us within 4 weeks (Christmas and New Year holiday included in those 4 weeks). I would definitely recommend Jeff to anyone!

Jeff is all around THE BEST! He really captured every moment we wanted to remember and so many more moments we didn't see perfectly! Jeff was awesome!! And he got our pics to us way faster than I ever hoped! We had pics in less than a week!!! Which probably isn't always typical for the busier season, but it was still awesome for us :) He did a great job at capturing our day perfectly. Everyone who has seen our pictures loves them! I only wish we could have had more time to get even more great shots. We got a little behind schedule thanks to me taking a little longer than planned to finish up with hair and makeup and get to the church, so we had to rush a little to get shots between the wedding and reception, but everything turned out wonderfully! I would highly recommend him! His price is very reasonable, and I love that he has a package that is simply full coverage day of and doesn't throw in all the other "extras" (like photo book, canvas, etc.) that make for a higher price that you may or may not actually need/want. We got all of the pics on a CD and now we're free to get prints in our own time, as many as we want :)

After looking through the photo's on the J. Darren website and blog and then reading all of the glowing reviews I had high hopes that he could be the photographer of my dreams, and he WAS!! From our first email until the he wrapped on our wedding day, and even communication afterwards Jeff has been so wonderful. He is professional, helpful and quick to respond to emails/phone calls. He offers suggestions from his wealth of knowledge not only in photography but weddings in general, but is also totally open to doing things your way. And did I mention his photography?? We had a small, backyard wedding with 50 guests and he took over 950 photos and SO many of them took our breath away!! A comment we got over and over from people when looking at the photos was "I forgot the photographer was even there!" which I was happy to hear. Jeff managed to get all the shots we could ever ask for without taking away from the events of the day which is important. My husband and I highly recommend J. Darren Photography no matter what kind of wedding you are having, Jeff will be perfect. Very fair prices + amazing photographer = you can't go wrong!!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Jeff to help capture our special day.

From the very beginning Jeff took a special interest in our ceremony and helped us plan everything every step of the way.

After we received all of the photographs Jeff provided we were amazed at his level of talent, attention to detail, and ability to capture all of our special moments as well as all of the 'little things' we included in the ceremony.

I found J. Darren Photography while browsing theknot.com, and I instantly was drawn to his style. His package prices were within my budget, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! Jeff Scott was amazing on my wedding day! He was everywhere and captured things in the moment, which is exactly what I was looking for. This man works HARD and stayed until the final moments of the evening. If you're looking for a photographer that's too good to be true, this is the man you've been looking for! I recommend him enthusiastically--you better book him before the world catches on and he has a year-long waiting list!

Jeff is an amazing photographer. My husband and I were very pleased with our wedding pictures, the amount of pictures taken and the unique angles and ideas that he used when photographing. Jeff had lots of ideas for the photos at our venue. He made sure that he got every picture that I requested. We look forward to receiving the wedding book that he is making for us once we decide on the 75 pictures. It is going to be tough deciding on the 75 pictures (because so many of the pictures were terrific). We highly recommend J. Darren Photography for your next event.

I cannot say enough good things about Jeff! He is absolutely delightful to work with. He has a fantastic eye for creating beautiful photos that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. His relaxed personality makes it easy to feel comfortable being in front of a camera for several hours. We purchased an engagement session and wedding package. I was able to use our engagement pictures for all kinds of creative print items to decorate our reception, save-the-dates, invitations and programs. Katie was our second-shooter on the day of the wedding. What a fantastic duo! She had lipstick on hand and helped ease the boys' nerves. You won't go wrong picking J.Darren as your photography service.

Jeff was one of our favorite vendors to work with! He was always quick to respond to my questions (which was a big thing for me), was a great help with suggestions and, most of all, was such a great sport with getting all of the specific pictures I'd asked for, even when he had to work around all the rain that ended up soaking our wedding venue. Jeff was incredible! I haven't even gotten all of my pictures back yet but the few I have seen I LOVE! He was able to work with our schedule (no matter how many times my crazy bride-brain changed it) and he was able to work with everyone in our bridal party...even our goofy guys! For family pictures he was quick, efficient, but also patient when some people weren't quite ready or where they needed to be. He gave great suggestions for poses and was super flexible. His assistant Katie was also amazing and helped with everything (not just pictures!). I would definitely recommend him to anyone! And not only is he nice and his pictures incredible, the price is incredible too! You will not find a better deal anywhere.

Jeff is absolutely wonderful!! He is so professional and was always willing to give his opinion when asked! He is extremely professional and has a great eye for photography! He did my bridal pictures, engagement pictures and wedding day photos and they were all outstanding! I ended up with almost 3000 photos all together! He was definitely able to catch a lifetime of memories :)

Jeff was extremely professional and easy to work with throughout the planning process and on our wedding day as well! He worked hard to make sure we got all the shots that we wanted and that he focused on the moments and details that were most important to us. His was very flexible during planning (which we did from a distance, so that was important to us) and on the wedding day as well - he had no problem rolling with my parents' requests for extra family photos! And of course, all of his photos turned out great - he has a great eye for detail and composition. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone!

As soon as we saw a few photos from the website, we knew this was going to be our wedding photographer! We had a very specific style of photography that we were looking for; natural, un-posed, and unique. Upon meeting Jeff, we were very excited to have him as our photographer. He listened to our wants and needs, was very thorough, and had some amazing ideas to add! We had a phone meeting as well closer to our wedding day just to confirm everything! On our actual wedding day, he was wonderful! He captured so many beautiful shots! He was non-intrusive, yet was able to navigate us to be able to get all of the shots we asked for! We anxiously watched his FaceBook page for a "sneak peek" of our photos! When we finally saw them, we were blown away at how amazing they were! Jeff was fantastic! He arrived extra early to survey the venue and look for ideal spots for photographs. He really worked hard all afternoon and evening to get shots of everything wedding related. He is not a pushy photographer, but he is able to get the job done. We haven't gotten our photos back yet, but based on the few he showed us during the wedding.. they are going to be amazing! He is a very nice guy and is open to unique shots and ideas.

I can't say enough about J. Darren Photography. Even my mom loved him. And my mom is hard to please. He did my bridal session and turned them around very quickly so that I could have my bridal portrait made for the wedding day. He accommodated my schedule and was very patient when I was over an hour late. He also did my wedding and captured the day beautifully. He arrived hours before everyone else, scoping out great spots for photos, and stayed until the last person left the reception.

I can't say enough good things about him!

I don't even know where to start! Jeff was our photographer for our destination wedding in Emerald Isle, NC. We were traveling from Ohio, and even long distance we were able to map out the perfect plan for our wedding photos. He stayed in contact with me and put up with all my emails. I pretty much emailed him weekly with ideas and he was open to them all. We did a "Trash the Dress" shoot in the ocean after the ceremony and he was such a trooper! You could tell he was excited to try something new, and he came prepared...with his swim trunks under his slacks :)

Jeff was so courteous to my entire family and was on point with every angle, lens change, and lighting challenges. Of all the decisions in my wedding, the photographer was most important because I am obsessed with taking pictures of every event in our lives. I have to say, Jeff exceeded my expectations. Honestly, our pictures looked like they belonged on the cover of a romance novel.

Jeff also went above and beyond by showing up early, scouting out the scenery, and getting shots of us all getting ready. He also stayed late so we could get sparkler pictures after the sun went down! He shows a true passion for photography.

We are PROUD that Jeff shared in our important day and gave us memories that will last a lifetime.

J Darren Photography did a great job with our wedding and reception! He answered all of our questions in the meetings and even let us do a "phone call meeting" since our schedule would not allow us to meet again before the wedding. He really worked so hard for our wedding. He walked around down town with us and also made sure of our surroundings to make sure it was ok for us to be there. Jeff did a great job being patient with the girls because one of my bridesmaids was pregnant. We are so excited to see the photos, he let me take a peak at a couple. We had him for the whole day/night and when we told him that he could go home, he said "If it is ok I would like to stay a little longer because I want to get a few more of your mom." He really did work so hard. He once told us in a meeting that his job is to capture the moment and go unnoticed. Well he did it! We didn't even know he was there. I would highly recommend Jeff with J. Darren Photography to everyone.

We had the most amazing experience with Jeff from J. Darren Photography on our wedding day. Professional, courteous, and flexible are just a few words to describe him. Jeff was the photographer for my wedding and bridal portraits. Words cannot describe how ecstatic I am with everything that he did.
I live in Colorado and was planning my wedding in NC from 1,700 miles away. Jeff was not phased at all. We talked over the phone on multiple occasions, emailed back and for with ideas and suggestions, and he even made sure to make time for my mom and I when I was in NC in April.
Jeff was very open to new ideas and welcomed my personality into our bridal session. I am very close with my sister and he allowed her to put her wedding dress on and take some "Sister Pictures" in the Botanical Gardens. We then took individuals there and then went to downtown for more. He was so giving of his time and talents.
On our wedding day the high was 100 degrees and the wedding was outside so long as it didn't rain. He arrived on location before anyone else so that he could capture pictures of the buzz of the day. Despite the heat, he came dressed very professionally and was a trooper all day/night long. My husband and I wanted to have all of our more formal pictures taken before the wedding and even did a special "first look" moment. Jeff had tons of wonderful ideas and we have the best pictures of the biggest day of our lives!
In conclusion: Jeff is wonderful. I had a great experience with him, not only with his talent but also as a person. Jeff is very easy going, pleasant, and easy to talk to and makes you forget that the camera is even there. I have had many people, both in the wedding party and people who did not attend the wedding, comment on how spectacular our pictures are and how they haven't seen anything like them.
In many years, when John and I are expecting, I will hopefully have Jeff take more pictures of our family! I'm a repeat customer as long as he is around!
