Working with Verónica and her team was the best decision we made for our wedding! We booked her to plan our whole wedding, and honestly, I don’t think that we could have done it without her. She was with us every step of the way, guiding us through the entire process with patience and enthusiasm.

Veronica and her team are absolute pros. She never once let us feel anything but confident that our highly detailed, multiple vendor daughter’s wedding was perfectly orchestrated. Veronica and Island Life Events was my planner for my wedding at El Convento. Throughout the planning process, Veronica and Enrique were available to help with the stress that is creating a room block as well as coordinating and speaking to vendors. When the month of my wedding came around, they were instrumental in planning every detail and making me feel at ease. From the floor plan to the timeline to the eventual wedding rehearsal, they planned every detail to fit my priorities for my wedding day.
On wedding day, there were several hiccups they could not control and they were able to work through them without causing me any additional stress. One of the staff even steamed my wedding dress while Veronica helped secure and dry the outdoor ceremony venue after an unexpected rain shower.
My guests commented on how helpful Veronica and her team were and all noticed how much they genuinely love their job. They were incredible and I highly recommend their services to anyone getting married in Puerto Rico! -

My husband and I just got married in April 2025. We started wedding planning approximately 14 months in advance. Being that it was a destination wedding, we knew we needed help with securing vendors and putting all our ideas together. We met with various wedding planners and had the pleasure of meeting Veronica. With Veronica, it was clear she had the experience and connections with vendors, and had the confidence that we needed to feel reassured and supported throughout our wedding chronicles. Veronica gave us the guidance we needed while also allowing us to brainstorm ideas throughout the process. She was always flexible and open to feedback on whether we did or did not like something which helped us never hesitate on creating our dream day. We were fortunate to meet with her in-person about 8 months prior to our wedding and maintained constant communication throughout the entire process. Check-ins were on a monthly basis and communication increased greatly in the last month as she kept us on track with all the fine details. I am very much a type-A person who is in constant control, but it was clear I could trust Veronica with relieving some of that pressure. I very much would have planned everything within 1-2 months STRESSED OUT alone LOL but Veronica reassured us of the step-by-step process and guided us in phases which GREATLY helped us embrace and enjoy the entire wedding process. She helped take the load off of things as she kept track of all our expenses, forms, timeline, and small details! Having her alongside us was honestly such a breath of fresh air as the pressure was alleviated and we never felt alone. I have said this over 1000 times during my year and a half of coordinating with Veronica and Island Life Events staff; they were the best decision we could have ever made for our wedding! Period!
We planned a destination wedding from Boston, so we knew that we needed a planner in PR. In all that time, we did not expect to have an angel guiding us step-by-step on wedding and scheduling formalities, introducing us to the BEST vendors that came at a fair price, meeting us for monthly Zoom calls for strategic planning and designing, feeling a warm, caring heart skillfully guiding us kids through this large-scale process. They took diligent care of EVERYTHING!
I cannot begin to explain how much Veronica and her team have gone above and beyond. As the bride, she and her team made it possible for me to actually relax, enjoy, and trust that everything was taken care of, and this comes from a person who can be a controlling worrier. I could not have dreamed up a wedding as grand and beautiful as the one Island Life Events orchestrated for us.
Our wedding was THE best day of our lives. We had over 100 guests, and the general consensus was that that was THE BEST wedding that they had ever been to. Our wedding was stress free and beautiful!
Thanks to Island Life Events our wedding day was great. When planning we heard so many horror stories about time lines, missing parts, and so much more, but thanks to Veronica and her team we had the best day. They made sure everything stayed on track, and most importantly that we enjoyed every minute of it. They even made sure to bring us our favorite drinks and multiple of each food there while doing pictures so we got to enjoy it all.

Veronica was the ONLY wedding coordinator in Puerto Rico that personally called me when I was inquiring on services. That made her stand out. From the moment I spoke with her, I knew what a genuine person she was. I got married on May 17, 2024 and chose the "month of" option. I live in Florida and planning a destination wedding was not always easy. As soon as the "month of" began and Veronica took over, it was like night and day with my stress level. I got more calm as we got closer because she took care of everything. On the day of the wedding, she helped and took care of anything I could think of. She is funny, sweet, hard working and was a blessing to my husband and I. She is a friend to us now and we could not recommend her more. -

Veronica was the best! She is professional and reliable. I did the month of service and the last month was the most seamless part of wedding planning. That is when you no longer have to communicate with the vendors and that part was so nice! She goes over each contract and makes sure you aren't missing anything. There were some items that I was missing, like napkins and lighting, and she caught that and made she to include those in the contracts, thank goodness! She is honest and gives recommendations to what decor you do or do not need if you are on a budget. I truly enjoyed my experience with Veronica. -

Simply perfect! The only way I can describe our wedding and reception was absolutely perfect in every way!
We were very apprehensive in dealing with anyone from Puerto Rico due to the corruption and dishonesty in business dealings. I am 100% Puerto Rica and fully understand how business is conducted in Puero Rico.
Let me start by saying, after researching and an initial conference call, we began to gain an understanding and confidence with Veronica and her company. She conducted every contact in the most professional manner and full written contracts.
We are located in Hawaii, and Veronica planned and made all the necessary coordination. Due to her experience, she only works with her established network of trusted contractors. From the coordination with Fort San Cristobal, catering a fantastic menu, to the reception at Casa de Espada. The entire event went flawlessly. She anticipated any contingency and adjusted accordingly.
Bottomline: professional, trustworthy, and amazing! -

Destination Elopement Come True!
We booked Island Events for our intimate Halloween wedding for month-of coordination services. My husband and I were lucky enough to get Faviola as our coordinator. She was extremely thorough leading up to the day, making sure we weren't paying for what we weren't going to use, and the day-of was perfect! The whole group (including us) were able to relax until showtime. Hubby and I were able to run around Old San Juan before the ceremony getting our photos done with the help of her assistant. We came back to everything we could've hoped for. The entire group was super impressed and had so much fun! Do not hesitate to book! We could not recommend more! -

Veronica was great! She worked with us for several months leading up to our wedding as well as the day of the event. Planning a destination wedding is difficult, but Veronica's knowledge of San Juan and her relationships with local vendors made it possible. She was also incredibly helpful to have on the day of the wedding to coordinate vendors and make sure things ran smoothly. We would recommend Veronica to anyone planning a wedding in San Juan. -

1000/10 would recommend! From the initial conversation with Veronica from Island Life Events, I knew she was the one I wanted to work with. She made me feel at ease and told me she would would take care of everything and wanted me to simply enjoy my day. I appreciated this more than she knows. She saw my vision for a surprise proposal and stayed true to her word. She was always a text away when I had questions or wanted to discuss the plan further. The day of the event went smoothly and without any issues. The set up was absolutely gorgeous and better than expected. Even though I hired a photographer, I was surprised to receive pictures the next day that both she and her amazing assistant, Faviola, took on their personal phones. We absolutely loved that they wanted to celebrate us in this way and captured all the best moments. Important to mention for obvious reasons: Veronica is LGBT inclusive and I felt extremely comfortable with her from the initial conversation. I could not have had a better experience or chosen a better event planner. Veronica seemed more like a friend throughout the whole experience, even offering advice of places to eat and things to see while on vacation in PR. Veronica made multiple important mistakes due to bad notes and made the planning process more stressful on us. When we would bring this up to her she took no accountability and instead quit on us less than 2 months before our wedding.
After taking over with the planning, we discovered there were multiple things she was supposed to do but never actually did them. Our makeup artist was set to get there at 6:30 am when our ceremony wasn’t until 5:00 pm and she never changed this. This caused everyone getting hair and makeup to be done super early in a very humid environment. We asked for a sunset ceremony and she set our time for 5 pm when the sunset wasn’t until 7 pm. After she quit we changed the ceremony time to 6 and this was perfect for our pictures. Had we done the ceremony at 5pm there would have been no sunset until our reception. She also got us an officiant that wasn’t bilingual when we had asked multiple times for a bilingual one as half our guests were Spanish speakers and the other half English. She then claimed this was never in her notes when she had emailed us previously saying he was the only bilingual officiant she knew of.
Her communication was also not great. She would go on long vacations without warning. Even when she wasn’t on vacation she would take days to get back to us on our questions.Island Life Events's reply:
