We loved our wedding party at the Inn! It is a second wedding for both of us, and as we approached our 2nd year engagement anniversary, we decided to take the plunge. We had 3 short months of planning! Elizabeth and staff helped us tremendously. Outstanding food, beautiful venue, and additional contacts for local cake and entertainment services made it so special for us. Thank you Inn at Harbor Shores!

From the event manager, Elizabeth, and her team to the housekeepers who offered to help carry items or assist wherever needed, every staff member was cheerful, attentive, and treated everyone with dignity and respect. My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at the Inn at Harbor Shores in St. Joseph, MI. I couldn't have imagined a better day. The staff at the Inn made everything flawless and beautiful, and they made sure that we didn't have to worry about a thing on our big day. They went above and beyond providing special accommodations to us, making us feel important.

Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful to work with, as she answered all my questions and many emails leading up to the day. Everything we talked about and included in the wedding packet was provided and looked absolutely stunning. The team effortlessly coordinated with our vendors, and provided a preferred vendors list, which was extremely helpful. They even recommended drivers for us to get to the church for the ceremony and back to the Inn. The front desk staff was very kind and helpful to us and all of our guests.

We are still dreaming of our perfect day, and we can't wait to visit and eat outside at Planks Tavern with views of the Harbor.

Another reason we chose the Inn at Harbor Shores is that we loved that we have a special place to visit on our anniversaries.

Our wedding day at the Inn at Harbor Shores was truly enchanting from start to finish. Every moment was filled with magic and beauty. The staff went above and beyond to make our day perfect. They were incredibly accommodating and attentive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the day to the fullest.

The venue itself was stunning and provided a picturesque backdrop for our celebration. The team at the Inn at Harbor Shores worked tirelessly to make sure everything ran smoothly, from setting up the decor to coordinating with other vendors. Their professionalism and dedication did not go unnoticed, and we were grateful for their hard work.

While there were a few minor details that were neutral, such as the timing of the event schedule, overall, our experience was overwhelmingly positive. The team's communication was clear and prompt, making the planning process much easier for us. We felt supported and heard throughout the entire journey, from our initial inquiries to the day of the wedding.

In terms of negative aspects, there were some limitations on customization options for the decor, which was a bit disappointing. However, the team at the Inn at Harbor Shores did their best to work within these constraints and still create a beautiful atmosphere for our special day.

Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding. The staff's dedication and the venue's beauty truly set the stage for a day we will never forget. We highly recommend the Inn at Harbor Shores to any couple looking for a magical and memorable wedding experience.

The Inn at Harbor Shores is a fantastic venue! Elizabeth Hacker and her team were awesome, and our event went off without a hitch! I would highly recommend the Inn at Harbor Shores, and the great staff there!

Elizabeth Hacker, Director of Sales, was wonderful to work with. From the very beginning when we were hoping for a date one week earlier than they originally had available and she was able to accommodate us, to the finishing touches which included her help and expertise during the reception itself. Everything else in between was handled with care and precision. The venue is beautiful, and having the ability for our guests to stay at the Inn made everything easier annd less stressful. Elizabeth is very responsive and thorough. Such a pleasure to work with.

I do not even know where to start! We worked with Elizabeth and she was amazing! From the very beginning she did everything that she could to make our planning easy. She was great at communicating the details which helped to make the planning so much less stressful. Since we are not from the area we were able to do much of the communication via email and everything was so detailed that I felt that we were discussing the details in person. She was also very accommodating to our requests. Anything that we asked for she made she to make it work so that our night would be perfect.

Once we actually got to the hotel the entire staff was great. Everyone was so helpful and kind. I cannot wait to come back every year for our anniversary!

Words cant express how perfect our Wedding Day was. Every last detail was more than perfect. Elizabeth, Sam and Molly were there to help with everything and anything my husband and I needed. I met with Elizabeth on a few separate occasions to discuss wedding plans, and she was incredibly accommodating to whatever request we had. Everything went more than perfect. The setup was absolutely beautiful. All of our guests were amazed over the food, decor, and organization of the entire day. AMAZING!

The Inn is a truly wonderful place for a wedding! The venue itself is stunning, is in a prime location, offers many different ways to add your own personal touch, is very reasonably priced, and has the convenience of also being a hotel. Also, the event coordinator and staff are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

The convenience was perfect allowing our guests to stay, eat and enjoy their time at the venue (at the bar, bonfire pit, patio and pool). The food was delicious. All the staff were kind and helpful.
St. Joseph has a lot to offer to wedding guests who may be traveling from out of town. No complaints, we loved it.

The Inn was absolutely gorgeous and a perfect spot for a wedding near the water. Working with Elizabeth was easy and efficient! The day of my wedding went wonderfully and we did not experience one glitch! Molly Cashen-Celmer was a huge help in moving the wedding details along and helping us get rooftop access for some BEAUTIFUL sunset wedding photos! AMAZING experience!

Our experience with planning a wedding at the Inn at Harbor Shores was amazing and everything went so smooth even in the time of Covid. I highly recommend having a wedding at the Inn especially if you have a lot of out of town guests. We were local but this was a destination wedding for most of our family and friends and they all had a fantastic experience with staying at the Inn and the convenience of everything being right there. The venue space is gorgeous and everything from start to finish about our wedding day ran so smoothly and was so beautiful. They handle everything from catering to bar to tables and linens and more which makes everything very convenient and easy. The food was amazing as well and all of our guests raved about it. Working with Elizabeth at the Inn to get the plan together could not have been better. She was so responsive and answered all my million questions throughout the whole planning process. They were also so flexible when covid restrictions began and made sure we were still able to have the best day no matter the restrictions which took a huge load of stress off our shoulders. If you are thinking about getting married in St. Joseph, MI you cannot go wrong with the Inn!

We had our wedding reception at the Inn at Harbor Shores this year and couldn’t be happier! We live about 3 hours away from St. Joseph, MI and Elizabeth made the whole planning process simple and stress free! Before placing our deposit, we scheduled some time to view the property, where we were walked through the ballroom, guest rooms, and grounds outside. We were given lots of information on the hotel and the event planning process. Closer to the wedding, we drove out to attend a food tasting. Every other aspect of our planning process was done via email. When the Pandemic hit, Elizabeth was very helpful and informative with what their policies were and about a month before our original wedding date, she even sent over a list of days for us to put on hold, in case we needed to postpone. We did end up postponing and all deposits, decisions, etc. were just seamlessly transferred over to our new date.
The day of our wedding, Gage was our hotel event coordinator. My husband and I met with him a few times throughout the day prior to our ceremony to ask any last-minute questions and make sure that everything was set up properly for our reception. During the reception, he also checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed from their staff.
All in all, I can’t say enough about how happy I am that we went with the Inn at Harbor Shores for our reception. Our guests are still talking about what a good time they had and how great the food was! The guest rooms were clean, and the hotel had several Covid-19 sanitation/mask policies in place that helped us, and our guests feel safe. Through all the pandemic craziness, they were patient and kind while we figured things out. We can’t wait to return to the Inn to celebrate our 1-year anniversary!

Truly couldn’t recommend this venue more. We had the best experience working and planning with Elizabeth! All our guests had an amazing time as logistics were convenient and allowed for a great time. The bridal party also loved staying right at the venue! We look forward to going back for anniversary trips and reminiscing on our amazing day! Covid and all!

We got married here in September 2018. Everything about it was PERFECT. From Elizabeth the cordinator all the way to the staff that sets up the tables- everyone was great. I asked a million questions and Elizabeth would answer my emails even on her personal vacations. The venue was beautiful and I can’t imagine getting married anywhere else.

Beautiful and romantic space for our reception. Everything is new, clean, and classic. ElizaBeth and the entire staff were fantastic and went above and beyond to make our day special. We could not have asked for a better place to get married!

Elizabeth and her team made our Wedding and Reception exactly what we hoped for. We are grateful for their professionalism and kindness that made this day perfect. We had both the wedding and reception in the Ballroom (235 people), and the Inn's Ballroom was able to accommodate~ with room to spear. We especially liked that we were able to have everything in one place, with plenty of rooms for guests to book. I might also add, the rooms are very cozy with a view of the harbor.
Lastly, our food was both delish and plentiful. I would definitely recommend the Inn at Harbor Shores for events!!

Had my wedding there this summer. Beautiful place, helpful staff. Elizabeth made everything easy. The food was delicious. At the end of the night we could just go back to our room, didn’t even have to leave and I didn't have to worry about my out of town guests trying to find a place to stay after the reception at the end of the night in a strange town. The Inn is a gorgeous place, nice neutral décor so you can make things your own. I loved that they had a room for us to get ready in on the same floor as the ballroom. If you want your wedding to be truly magical, this is the place to go.

Deciding to host our wedding (both the ceremony and the reception itself) at the Inn at Harbor Shores was one of the best decisions my wife and I made when planning our big day. My wife and I decided that we wanted to have our wedding back in Michigan, despite having moved out-of-state for work. Planning a wedding from a distance can be incredibly difficult at times, but the staff, and Elizabeth and Chef Elton particularly, were very thoughtful and worked hard to help us organize and plan for the big day.

In hospitality and planning, we could not have asked for a better location and service. My wife and I were searching for locations in Southwest Michigan when we happened by chance onto the Inn at Harbor Shores. From our first meeting with them, we were ingratiated by their hospitality. I will say again that planning a wedding from a different state is extremely difficult without help. Elizabeth and the staff at the Inn were wonderful in trying to work with us during our limited windows being back in Michigan to work on planning, and made sure that we felt as comfortable as possible leading up to the big day. Elizabeth was incredibly patient with us, which was great as we got closer to our wedding date and our stress levels and anxiety started to skyrocket. The day of the wedding, Elizabeth made sure to keep everything on track, and went well beyond anything we would have expected or asked of her and her staff to help set up and keep things moving smoothly throughout the course of the day (including being just behind my wife while she walked to the aisle to make sure her dress didn't drag too much). We didn't ask for such incredible service, nor did we really expect just how far beyond our expectations the Inn would go. We could not have asked for better help though.

Now food. One word: Phenomenal. Absolutely Phenomenal. No joke. It was the best food I've had, wedding or otherwise. I will go back to the Inn just for the food.

We chose to have our reception at the Inn at Harbor Shores about three weeks before our wedding due to a covid change. Elizabeth and the staff at the Inn at Harbor shores made all of our dreams come true on such short notice. All of our guests commented on how amazing the food (we didn’t even get to try before hand), the staff (we just crossed our fingers for good staff), and the beautiful location (we didn’t really have much of an option at this point) was. We had our wedding reception this past July at The Inn at Harbor Shores and had a great experience. Elizabeth was very helpful throughout the entire (year long) planning process and very nice to work with. She really does go above and beyond for her couples, and that's very obvious from day 1. For our modern, simple decor plan, the ballroom worked very well. The hotel is definitely the nicest one in the St. Joseph area that could accommodate the 200-ish guests that we had (indoors especially), and was perfect for that purpose. Our guests still talk about how good the food was, which of course is nice to hear! The many truly incredible vendors in this area that we hired worked perfectly with Elizabeth, especially because most of them had worked at The Inn in the past for weddings. St. Joseph is a perfect place to get married, and there are so many incredible vendors in the area to choose from...when it comes to a reception hall for a crowd, The Inn should be one of the first ones considered, especially thanks to Elizabeth's expertise!

The venue space was beautiful and the waitstaff and bartenders were excellent.

The Inn at Harbor Shores was the perfect location for our reception. We enjoyed having the option to wander out onto the balcony after dinner for the sunset, as well as making the dance floor the center of our reception room. The staff was willing to work with us to make our night perfect, and Elizabeth made sure we had everything we needed the whole night. A wedding at Harbor Shores is top of the line, so the price might seem high, but the quality and service are worth it. We wouldn't have changed a thing about our night or the memories made at Harbor Shores.

While planning my wedding the management change and my contact had to be changed. My invoice reflected additional incorrect chargers that were later removed after emailing back and fourth. Make sure everything discussed is in writing. During my outside wedding ceremony the hotel had live music that made it hard for the guest in the back to hear.
