We could not have asked for a better team to create the wedding timeline, communicate with vendors, handle last minute seating chart changes, and make sure we as the bride and groom were well taken care of on the big day. Chelsea was endlessly helpful in our planning and day of coordination. She joined us three months out, and helped manage timelines, communication with all our vendors, and making sure that everything ran smoothly the day of our wedding. She was the BEST value for her fees, and I would hire her ten times again. She lessened my anxiety, was receptive to our input and feedback, and managed our large wedding party and families with grace. She clearly has years of experience and has run hundreds of events, but she makes you feel like your wedding day is the most important day yet. I love this team!!!

Five stars don’t even come close to doing Chelsea and her team justice. They’re a 10 out of 5 stars kind of crew. My biggest regret is not booking Chelsea for the entire wedding planning process. She is insanely organized, on top of every detail, and seemingly everywhere at once. Beyond that, she’s hilarious, down to earth, and refreshingly honest when it comes to sharing her opinions and guiding us through decisions.
She handled tough conversations on our behalf with total grace, never made anything awkward, and was such a joy to work with. I kept telling my wedding party how excited I was for them to meet her because I knew they’d love her as much as we did. She brings such a vibe!! Throughout the entire process, she made us feel supported - no question was ever too much, no last minute change was ever a problem, and we always felt like we were in the best hands.
Our families kept commenting on how amazing she was too!!
I truly cannot recommend Chelsea and her team enough. Honestly, I want to have another wedding just so I can work with her all over again!

Chelsea and her team made our dreams come true! As someone who is not particularly artsy or creative myself, I had tons of ideas, but no idea how it would all come together or look. Chelsea was able to use our ideas and run with it, turning into way more than I could have ever imagined. She was also extremely helpful with all the details every step of the way. Every time a family member or friend would ask me a question and bring up something up to worry about, I simply responded "I'll just ask Chelsea" or "Chelsea's got it," which was such a relief for someone that is a do it yourselfer like myself. The best team for the best day.
Putting into words the impact Illumination Events and Chelsea and her team had on our wedding day is difficult but I will try my very best. Starting off with a very nervous bride waking up on her wedding day, I felt almost all my nerves leave my body when I met with Chelsea at 11:00 am at the venue. Her radiant smile and personality immediately put you at ease. From the very beginning of the day, I already knew my wedding was going to go smoothly. Chelsea and her team are like fairy god mothers. All day long she was close nearby and seemed to approach me only when she knew I needed something, like she could read my mind (or facial expression). Chris and I felt so special in the way we were cared for, being offered drinks and food throughout the day. Chelsea took my vision of what my wedding day looked like and turned it into the biggest reality, and I really do feel like I owe her all my happiness for it. Not to mention she donated her services to the American Cancer Society Dream Wedding Giveaway, that Chris and I were so blessed to have won. She is an amazing woman and if I had to do it all over again, I would do anything to have Chelsea and her team they are with us. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and all because we had amazing people making sure of it.

Being an out-of-state couple, Chelsea made the entire planning process seamless, accommodating our needs with great care. She provided many helpful suggestions that truly enhanced the day and was invaluable in both the planning and execution stages. Chelsea created a detailed timeline for the event and ensured everything ran on time and smoothly. My wife and I got married recently and hired Chelsea to plan our wedding. It was the best decision we have ever made as a couple. She was prompt, and professional, and did great with keeping her meeting commitments leading up to our wedding. She is boundlessly passionate about her job and is unbelievably easy to talk to. We felt so at ease ensuring the communication between vendors, the wedding party, and ourselves. She took our humble décor and turned it into the most magical evening we could ever imagine. We never once stressed that we would forget to eat food during our photoshoot because she was on the case. Lastly, after a freak accident, my wife’s dress got dirtied up, but Chelsea was on it and made sure that the dress was clean. She saved the day.

Illumination events was apart of our package with Fairview Farm & initially i thought it wasn’t really needed since I love to plan, but WOW they blew us away and i couldn’t imagine our wedding weekend & day without this team. They jumped in 60 days out and helped us with planning in the final days, had meetings with us to make sure we had everything we needed, seating chart maps, helped us create our full timeline, did a venue walk thru with us to plan everything out & handled communication with our vendors. They also came to our rehearsal to make sure things were prepared, and then did everything to make our day completely stress free the day of. The ladies- Erica, jasmine, & Emily were amazing from doing the full set up, clean up, dealing with all of our vendors as they arrived, checked in on us, & just made us feel sooo stress free and comfortable! Chelsea- was also phenomenal to work with & all of them had great communication throughout the entire process working with them & we’re all very kind. This team is just amazing overall and really couldn’t imagine how our day would’ve went without them. We were incredibly lucky to have this included with Fairview- but for anyone else this is 1000% worth the investment over anything else! I’d definitely recommend them 100x over!

If you are having a wedding (micro or large) you NEED a day of coordinator or full on planning support. And I would not recommend anyone other than Chelsea and the Illumination Events team. Chelsea was incredible. She answered a million and one of our questions with positivity and great insight. Led a wonderful finalization call before our wedding. Provided ample planning materials and support documents leading up to wedding. Worked amazingly with our local Richmond vendors (and even recommended our AMAZING florist when we were desperate to find a good affordable option!!). Completed a quick and simple rehearsal. On the day of wedding Chelsea & team arrived very early and managed the day perfectly. We even had a major ceremony space issue caused by venue and Chelsea literally saved the day with quick problem solving. She was with me and fluffed my dress before walking down the aisle and made the moment special before my big walk :) Chelsea is fun, kind, bubbly, organized, and brilliant. The absolute best!
Chelsea is a clipboard-carrying hero. Our plans had to drastically change at the last minute, causing a scramble to totally replan everything in just a couple months. Chelsea knocked it out of the park. She took it all in stride and was able to help transfer our vision (aka the wedding she had already been helping us plan) to a completely different venue, number of guests, and date. She handled everything with the absolute best energy, making what could have been a super stressful situation into a non-issue. Every meeting with her was a blast. Personal, Catered Wedding Planners with Great Personalities
Illumination Events was invaluable in our wedding planning process, but more importantly the wedding management on our wedding day. First, they met with us to visualize OUR vision for the wedding. They wanted to ensure our wedding met our expectations and was everything we hoped it to be. They communicated with vendors on our behalf and coordinated everything behind the scenes. On our wedding day, they truly made it a day of celebration, not a day of stress. They guided people where they were supposed to be and when, made sure vendors were in place, and allowed us to celebrate the day not worrying once about the execution of the event. They are amazing!
The illuminations team is amazing. They were my day of wedding coordinators and did an amazing job. I worked mainly with Chelsea and Jasmine and they were incredible. They kept everything organized, on track, and honestly, once I started working with them my stress went away because I knew they were professionals. They kept me on track, gave me ideas, and helped decorate my wedding. I am not a details person and they were. Words really can't express how beautiful my wedding turned out because of these people. I would highly suggest to anyone to use this team and if you are still on the fence about a day of coordinator they are worth every penny. Honestly, if I could go back I would change most of my other vendors and have them plan my wedding fully.

10/10 - I wish my scale could go higher. Chelsea has been by far my favorite vendor hire. She and her team without a doubt made my wedding dreams come true. Chelsea and her team were nothing short of amazing. When my photographer canceled on myself 48 hours from our wedding. Chelsea was right there setting up my fill in photographer insuring they would be there ready to go. They completely decorated my venue better than I could envision. I provided 3-4 inspiration pictures and they were able to create the mood/ theme I was hoping for . She and her staff were always positive, upbeat, efficient and right there with the answers when I was feeling overwhelmed and over my head. She helped me plan one of the most important days of my life and executed the event with grace and elegance.

A day to remember
If you are looking for absolute professionalism and perfection, we would highly recommend illumination Events ( IE ). I can’t tell you how happy and honored we were to have such a planning team. Hire illumination events studio!
Chelsea is THE ABSOLUTE BEST. HIRE HER! We were looking for a Day Of Coordinator to help our backyard wedding at our home run smoothly, and not only did she immediately “get” our vision and become a cheerleader for our less-than-conventional wedding, she knew every single thing to ask us before it would even pop into our minds.
Chelsea is diligent, detailed, thorough, but also patient and kind and supportive! After a few months of wedding planning we decided to upgrade our wedding package with her to Day Of Plus, and truly one of the only regrets on my wedding day is that we didn’t go all-in with her Planning package too. She is worth every penny and then some! I know she would’ve added tremendous value had we made that decision early on.
And if I haven’t said it enough, she is JOY to work with. She exudes energy and charisma, while also being calm and collected. She doesn’t let her stress show, always has a huge smile and an encouraging word for you, and she does it all while juggling 1,000 things. Multiple people before and during the wedding came up to me and told me how wonderful Chelsea was – HIRE HER! It will be the best vendor decision you make. We are SO GRATEFUL that Chelsea and Pretlow were a part of our wedding day!

Chelsea Moring is an angel.
I cannot, cannot, cannot say too many good things about Chelsea. She was worth her weight in gold and then some. I was a panicked and spacey bride, but she kept me on task, gave me lots of advice and direction, and she was perfectly happy to help make small decisions for me when I got too overwhelmed. Chelsea was super responsive, super sweet, and extremely thorough.
In the week between giving a final guest count/table chart to our vendors and the actual wedding day, Omicron cut almost half our guests. Every day, I sent Chelsea a new version of the seating chart and she took every alteration in stride without sweating it, even as I was on the verge of a breakdown. She put me at ease and told me it was all going to be perfect-- and it was.
On my wedding day, right as we were lining up to walk into the reception, I broke the zipper of my dress and it was busted open all the way down my back. I was a little bit panicked, to say the least, but she was totally cool and calmly sewed me back in like it was nothing. My mother made my dress and I originally asked for her to come fix it, but Chelsea said, "No need to stress her out, I got this," and did it herself, no problem. I think it took maybe ten minutes and I was good as new.
I'd hire Chelsea again in a heartbeat (and sometimes consider hiring her just to help me run my everyday life because she's THAT good). Seriously: book Illumination Events Studio. You will not regret it.

Amazing Wedding
There is not enough that I can say about how amazing Chelsea is. I was not someone who had dreamed of my wedding, had no idea where to begin, and just felt overwhelmed about the whole process. Finding Chelsea and getting the partial planning package was the best decision I made during the whole process. She broke down what my fiancé and I needed to do each month so that we were not overloaded closer to the wedding. She explained everything, gave her valuable input when needed (which was a lot), and also helped with obtaining vendors and pulling the vision together. After the RSVPs for my wedding went out, we all found out about Omicron. The next few weeks were very stressful as we figured out how to go forward with the wedding and with things changing daily. Chelsea was available with advice every step of the way and also always there with an encouraging text that somehow was exactly what I needed to hear at that moment. Our wedding weekend ended up different than we originally thought, but more perfect and amazing than we could have ever imagined. I was relaxed the whole time because I knew I was in such capable hands and everything went flawlessly. Chelsea coordinated with all of our great vendors and was the only person I had to talk to at the reception when a question came up. I didn’t realize how important that would be to me, but I definitely could not have enjoyed the party as much if I had to worry about timeline or talking to different vendors. Again, I could not recommend Chelsea and Illumination Events more!

Our Coordinator was Rhema. There are no words to express how she took care of every last detail. She scooted around unnoticed making sure everything was where it should be when. Excellence at it’s best.
My daughter and I are very anxious people and we went into Friday with not a care in the world and just spent time with family. On Saturday, Rhema worked especially hard to keep everything on schedule and keep everyone having an amazing time.
If you are in the market for a wedding coordinator/planner look no farther.

Illumination Events Studio was on the preferred vendors list of our venue and we knew we were going to need, at the least A Day of Coordinator. We called IES and spoke with Chelsea and immediately could feel her passion and positive energy over the phone. Due to COVID we started with phone calls, texts and emails. We didn't get to meet Chelsea in person until our walk through at our venue. She brought the same Passion and Positive Energy with her! She made suggestions and asked questions we had not thought of. When our wedding weekend came, she and her staff were THE BEST! We didn't have to worry about anything and they did such a great job with the decorations and making the whole day run smooth! Chelsea was a dream to work with. We hired Chelsea for the last three months of our wedding planning. She helped us wrap up everything. I couldn't have imagined doing this without her. She was quite literally a text away. She was very responsive via text message and email. She contacted all our vendors and pulled them all together. I did not hear from her on our wedding day all but once. I was blown away. All the previous weddings I have been in, they had been texting their planner all day regarding issues. If there were any issues, I still do not know of them to this day. Chelsea and her team were the most amazing people to work for. It was worth every penny to have that type of security on a day I worked so hard to plan. Chelsea and I discussed over the three months how I wanted the wedding to look and she did everything plus more. A Magical Experience
The IES team went so above and beyond to make our day magical! Every step of the way, Chelsea was there to answer our questions, get us organized, and make sure our day was perfect. We have never met a team that is so passionate about what they do and providing the most top quality service as IES!
Prior to the wedding, we booked a design consultation at our venue and were given so many beautiful ideas to make our vision come to life including craft ideas, rental shops in our area, a floor plan, and a rain plan. At the wedding, Chelsea and her team set everything up even more beautiful than we had imagined! They were amazing at contacting everyone, checking on us, making sure everyone had what they needed, and making sure the event went smoothly so that we didn't have to worry about a thing!

WOW! Absolutely amazing experience!
WOW!! My daughter's wedding was a few days ago and I am still amazed at how everything came together and went so smoothly - it was perfect! And the best part is - I, as MOB, got to enjoy every moment and wasn't stressed at all. Chelsea has a bubbly, energetic personality that is priceless when matched with her amazing organization and attention to detail. Our meetings with her leading up to the wedding were punctual and personalized and left us feeling confident in the planning. She asked us questions or brought up things in those meetings that made us think of things we wouldn't have without her assistance. Prior to the wedding, Chelsea reached out to the vendors we had individually met with to make sure everyone was on the same page with the timeline and plan for the day. On the big day she greeted us with huge smiles and energy. She directed an onsite rehearsal with wedding party as well as the processional of parents/grandparents. Her team took the box of supplies I brought and put out the decorations as we had discussed and they met the vendors as they came to the venue and took care of all of that for us. I was able to stay with my daughter the entire prep time and able to mingle and enjoy guests at the reception. She helped to make sure everything stayed on the timeline (it goes by so fast!) so everything my daughter wanted could be done. Presents, flowers, and leftover foods were all placed in designated vehicles for us at the end of the night! Her team interacted so well with the wedding party that groomsmen and bridesmaids came up to me at the end of the night and commented on how they loved being around Chelsea and her team and how much fun they had during the day. My daughter and her husband had big smiles on their faces all day and I got to see them enjoying it because Chelsea and her team made sure everything was running smoothly in the background. Chelsea directed the Sparkler exit at the end of the night and made it so much fun! Truly professional and amazing to work with! Can't recommend her enough!!

Honestly, we're the type of couple that was thinking, "we don't need a coordinator, we know what we're doing, and we're really on top of all our planning." Chelsea and her team were absolutely incredible. From the second we booked her, I knew we were in great hands! She was so organized and thought about the things that never would have crossed my mind. I loved having her there for venue meetings, rehearsal coordination, and especially all day on our wedding day. She anticipated potential issues and kept them from ever becoming an actual problem (and if there WAS a problem, I had no idea because her and her team were behind the scenes orchestrating everything!) Incredible!!
One of our best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring Illumination Events for our wedding coordinator! Chelsea and her team were absolutely AMAZING and we cannot say enough good things about them. Leading up to our wedding day, Chelsea was always professional, organized, helpful and enthusiastic for our wedding. We had our walk through at the venue a couple of months before the wedding day and Chelsea gave us great advice to think about – things that I never would have thought about on a wedding day and gave us time to plan ahead. Chelsea was in constant communication and coordinated the timeline for the day with our many other vendors, all while getting our opinion and giving us realistic expectations. Chelsea was very respectful of any decision if we chose to go in a different direction. Chelsea was always quick to respond to every email, text or call regardless of the day or time. As the wedding came day closer, we had a need to adjust timing of getting ready with hair and makeup vendors. Within 20 minutes of contacting Chelsea about the issue, she got in contact with our vendors and figured out a new plan that would work with our timing. I was so impressed at how Chelsea stopped everything to immediately help me. On the day of our wedding, I don’t think Chelsea and her team stopped once for themselves, always had a positive attitude, and was always making sure everything was running smoothly. We brought in a lot of décor items ourselves and Chelsea and her team put them all together exactly how I wished (including her assistant hand-picking up an outrageous number of petals from the ceremony ground). Chelsea checked in on us throughout the wedding day to see if we needed anything but also gave us space to not feel like she was overbearing. When one of the groomsmen’s buttons fell off of his tux right before our ceremony, Chelsea was right there to jump in and sew the button back on with her sewing kit. We are so grateful for the care and attention with which Illumination Events oversaw our wedding. The whole day was flawless and we know that everything ran so smoothly because of Chelsea and her team. We HIGHLY recommend Illumination Events for any wedding or event and know that Chelsea and her team will make it perfect!

The best in the Biz! An absolute must hire!
Chelsea and team were one of the first vendors we hired for our wedding that was supposed to happen in October 2020. Chelsea had worked on two of my bridesmaid's weddings and they both raved about her. When we moved our date due to COVID, Chelsea let us know that she would stay on with us up until the day of because she had another couple on our new date. Even though she was technically "double booked" Chelsea gave us just as much time and attention as if she would be there the day of. There is absolutely NO WAY that we would have been able to figure out timeline and logistics without Chelsea. Watching her work out the timeline over a zoom call was seriously MIND BLOWING. She also handled all communication with vendors which was such a weight off my shoulders. The best surprise was that Chelsea was able to attend our rehearsal even though she had attended another rehearsal the same day. The rest of the Illumination Team that was sent the day of the wedding was absolutely incredible as well. Our ceremony was outside and it started to rain right before we were supposed to start. The team make quick pivots and were able to do so without stressing my husband or I out. They also saved all our cocktail hour food from the torrential downpour that happened even though that meant the entire team was soaked. During the reception, I was checked on consistently and the team were always available to grab a drink or take care of a request. Timeline adjusts were made in the moment based off how my husband and I were feeling which was great! Both our families were so impressed with Chelsea and team. The next day they commented on how that was the best vendor we could have hired because our day went so smoothly. In short, if you hire Chelsea and Team, your day will be perfect because that's the expectation they set for themselves and they deliver! We couldn't have asked for a more professional, attentive and FUN team for our big day. Thanks Illumination Events Studio! We will never forget what you did for us on our big day!!

Illumination Events Studio served as the day of coordinator for my daughter’s wedding. We couldn’t be more pleased with the job that they did for us. I literally would not have survived the day without them. They took care of every possible detail and didn’t leave a single thing for me to worry about. There are not words to express how much Chelsea and Grace helped me with my wedding day. In the 18-months preceding the wedding, Chelsea was always available via call, text, or email - even the week she was giving birth! Chelsea and her team go beyond expectations
I heard of IES and Chelsea through a friend who used them for her daughter's wedding, and I am SO glad we booked them. At our initial consultation, Chelsea was very honest with me and told me to downgrade the package I wanted because I had already done so much of the work and she wanted to give me the best value. When I had a last minute change of ceremony location, she let me add on direction/planning for the rehearsal for a low fee. The day of she was everywhere - at 8 months pregnant! Everything went flawlessly and she was always around when I needed her - when my bustle broke and I wanted to change into my getaway dress, she magically appeared by my side to help. The best part according to my parents, is that she and her team handled ALL the clean up of the ballroom after the reception (which ended at midnight) so that they could enjoy the rest of the night. I couldn't recommend her team more.

We chose Illumination Events Studio and Chelsea because they offered the most packages. From the moment we hired them, our lives were made so much easier. We had 5 check ins throughout the year leading up to our wedding to keep us on track and let us know what we should be working on next but she was also always available to answer any questions. Chelsea is extremely knowledgeable about weddings, offered suggestions for vendors, set up, schedule of events and coordinated all of the vendors with the venue. The day of our wedding I wasn't worried about anything (except tripping while walking down the aisle) because I knew Chelsea and her team had it covered. Illumination Events Studio did an amazing job and was wonderful to work with.

Perfect Wedding due to Day of Coordinator!
Lots of couples mentioned to my wife and I that we'd encounter stresses and headaches during our wedding; however, with Illuminations Events my wife and I were able to purely enjoy our big day. Chelsea and her team not only provided a professional "Day-of Coordinator" experience for us but took care of several crises without getting the Bride or Groom involved. A seamless, perfect day!
My husband and I hired Chelsea and her team at Illumination Events as our day-of coordinator per the recommendation of our venue (Historic Jasmine Plantation), and we are SO glad that we did. Chelsea gave us a call almost immediately after we sent an inquiry. She wasn't personally available for our wedding date, but she assured us that she would have someone fabulous to be the lead coordinator. IES has worked with couple at Historic Jasmine many times, and I felt so at ease knowing that they were familiar with our venue (as well as several of our other vendors!). Erica Hinkle was the lead coordinator for our wedding, and she was fabulous to work with. We started communicating with her regularly in July (our wedding was October 5th), and she was so knowledgeable, sweet, and professional from that moment to follow-up from our wedding. Erica and Chelsea were both able to help us think of things we would have otherwise missed, and I was so impressed by their organization and attention to detail. Erica and her day-of team tied up all of the loose ends - our wedding day was more perfect than I could have imagined! I was so worried about all of the moving parts leading up to our wedding day, but as soon as the weekend came, I could tell that Erica had it all under control. I know that they were working so hard on our wedding day, but Erica and her team made it all seem effortless. They even ran out and bought more beer when we were running low (during the cocktail hour!! Oops!) without hesitation. They kept us on schedule to make sure that everything happened as my husband and I planned. If they were ever in a bind, we were oblivious. Chelsea - you have a fabulous team working for you, and I would recommend IES to anyone in need of a day-of coordinator! (PS - Chelsea has the sweetest Sheties, and you have a bonus of Sheltie pics throughout the planning process :))

We had the pleasure of working with Erica and her assistant Diana on our wedding day and in the months leading up to it. Erica is a superstar. She was incredibly pleasant to work with. She paid attention to details and expertly coordinated among our vendors (caterer, DJ, violinist, rental companies) and the venue. Erica and Diana went above and beyond what we expected from a day-of coordinator team. They drove an hour and a half round-trip to pick up our flowers. Erica and Diana set up the decorations, kept everyone on schedule, and kept us in good spirits. Our Perfect Wedding
We initially lived in VA at the start of our wedding planning. Long story short we ended up moving to Dallas, Tx during planning and I travel for work on top of that. Due to the logistics alone, we decided a full wedding planner was what we needed for a successful wedding day. In comes Chelsea and the Illumination Events Studio team!
Chelsea was so great along the way! We had monthly calls and she was super flexible with my busy work schedule to make our calls happen. She was also always available via email/text whenever I needed her and responded most of the time right away, if not within an hour. Chelsea organized all our meetings with the vendors and always had suggestions of multiple vendors to stay in our budget. Our final walk through at the venue (James Monroe’s Highlands, Charlottesville, VA) was approx one month before the wedding. Afterwards, Nash and I felt so confident in Chelsea and our team of vendors that our wedding weekend would be everything we wanted.
The day of the wedding couldn’t have been more perfect! I didn’t have to worry about anything because Chelsea and her team took care of it all! If anything went astray from our original plan, we had no clue. We can honestly say our wedding day was absolutely perfect and everything we wanted it to be.
Not only was Chelsea and the Illumination Events team amazing in the planning and execution of our wedding, her prices are amazing compared to competitors I interviewed for a “full” planner. Having a full wedding planner was worth every dollar we paid! Beyond the cost, we truly felt Chelsea and her team cared about us as if we were family. We could not have had our perfect wedding day without Illumination Events Studio!

Absolutely Amazing!
Chelsea swooped in and saved the day when the coordinator turnover through our venue became too much to handle. She was professional, friendly, and helpful from the start, and saw our vision through up to the very end! We are so happy with every part of our special day.

Wonderful experience!
As mother of the bride and one who likes to plan events, I thought I had everything under control! Then one day I was going over my list and comparing it to other to do lists online and started to question myself. Illumination Event Studio was on the suggested list from the venue. During the first phone I liked what I heard. At our first meeting Chelsea had everything already laid out she and was well organized! The mother of the bride and myself started to relax a bit more. Abby was the lead coordinator for the main event and made everything go smoothly! She and her assistants did an awesome job! Best decision ever!!!

Exceeded Every Expectation
We worked with Chelsea and IES for the full-service planning of our May 2019 wedding and can say with 100% certainty that booking IES was the single best decision of our wedding planning process. We knew about two minutes into our initial consultation phone call with Chelsea that we wanted to work with her for the long haul. Her energy is infectious, and I was amazed with her organization skills, professionalism, and around-the-clock accessibility and communication. I was a full time medical student throughout the entire wedding planning process, and she was always so respectful of my school engagements and flexible planning our visits and calls around my schedule. Even though I know she was juggling a million other weddings, she ALWAYS made me feel like my wedding her was her #1 priority. She is beloved within the Richmond wedding vendor community and helped us nail down a dream team of vendors, even securing some discounts for us along the way. In putting together all the little details, Chelsea strikes a perfect balance of using her own creativity to suggest a beautiful vision for the day, while also supporting and loving everything I suggested.
On the wedding day itself, Chelsea was absolutely unstoppable. She and her assistants were a well-oiled machine making sure everything went off without a hitch, and most importantly making sure we were all having a great time and not worrying ourselves with any little issues that came up.

Meeting us where we are and more!
We knew we wanted to hire a day-of coordinator to take on all of those last minute things that seem so soul-sucking when you're heading into the big day, and choosing Illumination Events Studio ended up being one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Chelsea (the IES owner), Erica (our coordinator), and Diana (assisted Erica on the day) took away the stress and increased the fun, starting with the preliminary phone calls and continuing up until the end of the reception. There were the big things like making sure everyone got down the aisle at the right time and all the vendors knew where they needed to be and when they should be there. Then there were the small things, like making sure we had time to eat and had plenty of water and then making little bouquets out of the arrangements for guests to take home at the end of the night. Having IES there made it easy and enjoyable for us and our guests - we've had so many people tell us it was the best wedding they've been to, which is probably because we weren't sweating the small stuff. Highly recommended!

Amazing! Wonderul!
Chelsea is AMAZING! We were overwhelmed with all of the little details that go into a wedding, and she explained everything to us and helped us through everything! She is a lot of fun to be around! Her staff is amazing, too!
