I loved working with I Do Ceremonies for my wedding day ceremony. Stephen and Jonah were both amazing and easy to communicate/ talk with. They really took all the stress of planning my wedding ceremony off of my shoulders. Our ceremony was perfect and we received many compliments even months after our wedding day. Highly Recommend Stephen!!!
Stephen was a wonderful officiant, we could not recommend him MORE!! He met with us before hand and made sure we knew exactly how our ceremony would go. We are so happy we chose Stephen as our officiant. He was one of the best - if not the best - vendor we worked with for our wedding. He was extremely organized, quick to respond to questions, and he was a fantastic speaker that added the perfect human touch to our ceremony. Stephen Simmons was absolutely perfect. We never met Stephen in person until the day of our wedding and he made us feel like we had known him forever. He also helped calm our nerves of the big moment and really take it all in.
We had countless family members and friends come up and ask us how long we had known Stephen and were shocked to find out that we had just met him in person that day. They also said they would fly him to their wedding or their children's weddings in the future. We are so lucky to have had Stephen officiate our wedding and he will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

We highly recommend hiring Stephen!! Our best friends had him as an officiant and we were blown away by him so we hired him immediately without even looking around. He is so kind, professional, thoughtful, and thorough. He met with us to discuss everything we needed for the big day and then when it was go-time he was checking on us to make sure we felt comfortable and at ease. He handled all the back end filing of our marriage license and we received the final copy in the mail only a week after our wedding. We didn’t even think about needing to file that so I am so glad we hired him!

A strong supporting presence anyone would want on their day!
Stephen was such a loving, fun, and supporting presence to have on our Big Day! He made us feel calm and in control, even though HE was leading us through each step along the way. He has a strong, comforting personality, but never "stole the show" or made it seem like it was about him. Honestly there were times I barely noticed him there, even though he was right by our side. With eloquent speech and an obvious expertise in officiating, he made creating our ceremony outline go from our jumbled up wants, to a beautiful, flowing experience. He is who I would want to lead any event of my life and we are so thankful we had the joy of reserving him for our special day.
*As you can see from the photo, even at the end for our kiss and announcement, he had completely moved out of the way as to not be in any pictures! He truly thinks through all aspects of the ceremony!

From our first exchange we knew Stephen and Loren would be great to work with. Unexpectedly Wonderful
Our original officiant fell through and we scrambled to find someone else with short notice. I stumbled upon I Do Ceremonies and Stephen was prompt with his email responses and detailed with the script for our ceremony. He arrived at our location even before we did and was understanding and patient while our photographer had to run to the store to find a new SD card. Despite never seeing or even speaking to him prior, he made our vows as personal as he could and even included our kids which meant a lot. He was clearly experienced and it was comforting on our day.

All we remember were the hugs and laughter
Stephen Simmons was our officiant at the venue Silo and Oak. He also gave us premarital counseling. He even thought of questions we never thought to ask each other. When designing the ceremony itself, he made the process easy and personal. He made us feel like family. I am very shy , and on our special day I could relax and focus on my love. If you are looking for a wedding minister, I recommend I Do Ceremonies 100%. Mr. Loren Jones was our officiant, and he was awesome! He had that sense of "calm" that resonated with you that you can only dream of before you walk down the aisle. They send you an outline document with SO MANY options of each part of the ceremony to help give you ideas of how you want your ceremony to “flow.” I never knew there was so much involved until I hired them, but I am so thankful. There were very few dry eyes in the audience. Loren took our very planned out ceremony and added his own humor and personality. As we were having an outdoor wedding, our sound system (not I do ceremonies property/problem) was having connection issues from the mic to the amp but Loren handled it with grace and kept pushing through. Communication from the company was great and we cannot think of one complaint. Thank you, Loren, for help making our day unforgettable. Thank you, Steven, for setting up our initial meeting and explaining the whole process. You all rock!!

Eased my social anxiety!
Steven was an absolute blessing for our ceremony! I wouldn’t change a thing. I love how personal it was—Stephen had a phone call with us to learn about us and our love story, explain how the day would go, and discuss what we wanted from the ceremony. He then sent us an outline for the ceremony, starting with the procession and ending with the recession. Every moment we were able to copy and paste from his website, where he has DOZENS of options, or we could write our own. We chose premised options for each section, then edited them to be more personal. We were able to get the exact length we wanted, which really helped with our social anxiety. The day of, things went so smoothly! He was punctual and so friendly. He is a very warm person and I could just tell he wanted to make our love extra beautiful. It was a truly lovely ceremony and I wouldn’t change a single moment of it. Thank you, Stephen!

Stephen and his wife were beyond amazing and accommodating! They always answer the phone and get back to our emails so quickly! We did a small elopement ceremony with just our very immediate family and Stephen as our officiant still made the day feel as big as possible. He is very flexible in what he will read and even wear! We used his wife grounds at Silo n Oak and all I can say is WOW! Whether you are doing a large or small wedding this is definitely the place to go! Stephen did SUCH a great job officiating our wedding! Many guests commented on our ceremony and what a nice job he did! A few guests even thought he was one of our relatives because he seemed to know us intimately despite never meeting aside from Zoom until the day of the wedding. Stephen officiated my brother and sister-in-laws wedding back in 2015. I sincerely thought that Stephen was a friend of theirs with the way he spoke about both of them! Stephen was amazing. The two most commented on things about my wedding from my guests were my venue and my officiant. We hired Stephan to be our wedding officiant. He provided services to us that we didn't know we need but were so happy we received them. My spouse and I were able to plan how our ceremony went with ease thanks to Stephen's streamlined and information packed program. He allowed us to make it very personal and answered all questions and concerns we had. He also had us answer premarital questions and reviewed them with us. He made us ask each other questions we didn't even know we should have asked. Really reviewed any conflicting answers that could become martial problems and gave us advice to get past these issues before they even begin. If you want someone who know's exactly what their doing, this is the guy for you. Stephen is truly a professional at what he does and has it down to a science. After getting off the pleasant 30+ minute phone consultation I had with him, I knew that having him apart of my wedding day was a stress-free bullet-proof plan. On the day of, he showed up early to greet the wedding parties and did his thing. My only regret was not paying the additional fee for him to attend the rehearsal. He had more direction and experience than my day of planner.

Stephen was nothing short of wonderful. From the first meeting with him (a whole year before our big day) we immediately knew that he was a great fit. Stephen was prepared with answers to questions that we didn't even know we had and he made the process of designing our ceremony as organized and easy as it could be. He guided us with options and suggestions while also making us feel like this was our own ceremony that we could personalize as much as we wanted - it was our day and there was no wrong way to do it. He gave us gentle reminders leading up to the day (helpful since my husband and I both tend to procrastinate). And even though we didn't deliver our final draft to him until the night before the wedding, he delivered it flawlessly. He was comfortable and funny, warm and genuine, kind and welcoming. I think the compliment we heard most at the wedding was with regards to Stephen and our ceremony. We truly could not have been happier.

Highly recommend! Stephen Simmons did an excellent job helping us plan and create our own personalized / customized ceremony. His website is so comprehensive with so many fun ideas to incorporate. He responded so quickly to all our emails and we had multiple phone conversations to make sure everything was perfect. I never felt lost in the process, because he was there to guide us on all the steps, including obtaining our marriage license / doing the paperwork afterward. Loren Jones officiated our ceremony and did a fabulous job. He has such a gentle, calm demeanor and is extremely friendly and responsive to emails and requests. We live out-of-state and I was nervous about finding an officiant we would love! However, after some online searching we came upon I Do Ceremonies and Stephen had such great reviews! So I went ahead and booked a meeting with him. Within 5 minutes of our initial meeting, I knew he was the person we wanted to officiate our wedding! Stephen sealed the deal with his "sales pitch" during our first meeting together. His professionalism and experience rang true. Stephen has a layout to make all ceremonies unique and special to the bride and groom. It takes time for the couple to choose their options, but it is an easy process and it allows the couple to take the time with their future spouse to choose what really matters to them for their ceremony. Stephen was timely in his responses and coordination, as well as arrival to the wedding. He officiated wonderfully. We were so happy to have him pronounce our marriage to our family and friends.

I cannot say enough good things about Stephen Simmons and our experience at Silo and Oak. The venue itself is so beautiful (the pictures really don't do it justice!!), and Stephen really went above and beyond our expectations. When meeting with Stephen, I could hear the joy in his voice every time he talked about other weddings, and shared ideas with us for our day. We were able to customize our ceremony to what we wanted and I couldn't be happier with how my wedding turned out. Stephen was an amazing officiant. His prep work with us made everything seamless and allowed us to customize it to fit our own love story. If you want to leave out certain aspects of the ceremony, you can. Want to select your own scripture readings? You can do that too! He wants you to make this your wedding without you having to reinvent the wheel so to speak.
His initial conversation with us was splendid and he explained small aspects of the ceremony that we didn’t even consider but were so grateful that he did. I would highly recommend Stephen to any of my friends or family tying the knot and I would hire him again! We originally chose I Do Ceremonies because we liked Stephen’s cadence and voice, and I really wanted a customized ceremony with personal vows, and his template made it SO easy to do that! I will admit that I procrastinated on the ceremony portion because it seems overwhelming but as soon as I sat down and got started with the template it was extremely easy. Everyone loved the customized ceremony and it felt perfect for our style.
We did all this via Skype and email- we got married in Austin but lived in San Francisco at the time. He made it all very easy and he seemed to be able to fit into any style of ceremony, religious or not.
Stephen also was fantastic during the ceremony- he knows when and how to lighten the mood and I noticed he even changed the pitch of his voice to account for some unfortunate traffic we could hear from the road, it all went very smoothly. There are many good reasons he’s been voted best multiple years in a row. You won’t regret hiring him and you should do so before his schedule books up!

We used Stephen to officiate our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we've made. My husband and I are two different faiths and that is no problem with Stephen because everything he says is completely customizable to what you want. Stephen was quick to answer any questions we had and the outline he provided was so helpful! As the Mother of the Bride starting the planning process of my only daughter's wedding a year ago was daunting. Choosing Stephen as the officiant was the easiest and best decision we made for the ceremony of our daughter's wedding. Amy and Ty met with Stephen and after that first meeting they loved him. He was patient and very reassuring that he would provide exactly the type of ceremony they wanted to match their personalities. He worked continually the whole year up until the moment they said "I Do. Stephen "I DO CEREMONIES" was amazing. He made the ceremony exactly what they wanted with the sense of humor to lighten things us and allowed everyone including the Bride and Groom to relax and enjoy the most beautiful part of their wedding. Stephen did a phenomenal job at easing our anxiety about the ceremony (if you don't have it yet, you will). In fact, my wife and I (that's sounds so cool to say now) waited all the way up until a week before our wedding to finally sit down and figure it out. There is so much involved in the ceremony that you only come realize as you're searching for an officiant; "Should we do this?", "Should we do that?", procession order, opening remarks, scriptures to be read, special thank yous/recognition, unity ceremony, and more. With Stephen it was effortless. After our first meeting with Stephen, in the car, my wife and I both agreed we knew within 15mins Stephen was a perfect fit. Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Stephen helped make it exactly how we dreamed-it was perfect. Literally, perfect. Stephen is an incredible human being, which makes him an incredible officiant. We can't speak highly enough of him. Mitch was great! Very easy to work with, and he was very flexible in supporting the specifics and non-traditional aspects of our wedding. I (the groom) was running late the day of the wedding and didn't have time to hand write my vows that day as intended (and as I apparently promised my wife so we weren't tackily reading off our phones). Mitch offered to write them for me while I got dressed and had them done before we lined up to walk out. Mitch to the rescue! Mitch also provided some day-of guidance on how the process will flow, what a lot of common hiccups are and how to avoid them, and provided confidence that things would work out just fine.

From the moment we met with Stephen, we knew we wanted to hire these guys to be our officiant(s). Stephen was booked but his partner Loren was fantastic. They were easy to work with, answered all of our questions and provided great insights into timing, ideas for our vows, and more. They are friendly, professional and really take an interest in you as a couple. There was no doubt they would do a fantastic job. When the day came, we had absolutely zero issues. Loren was on time, wonderfully dressed and joking around with our guests. We were running a little late because my grandmother had not yet arrived but he just went with it. I met Stephen over 3 years ago while hoping to plan a home wedding for my youngest daughter. Mr. Simmons was the absolute best choice for our wedding. We live out of town and our first time meeting him was on our wedding day. That can be scary...but it wasn’t. We spoke on the phone and by email leading up to the big day. He helped us tailor our vows and ceremony to fit our personalities. On the day of, he mingled with my fiancé and the family before the ceremony and came to check on me before we started. The ceremony was perfect. Everyone complimented his ceremony and stated that they felt it was a perfect mixture of having fun and upholding tradition. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!

Stephen was helpful throughout the process from beginning to end. On the actual day, my husband and I were so tense during the ceremony that we were genuinely scared when we were at the altar. But Stephen cracked a few jokes tying into our ceremony. Wonderful relief of tension during such an intense moment. Absolutely would recommend him to other engaged couples looking for an officiant. He is very personal and thorough with the ceremony timeline.

Stephen was absolutely amazing to work with from the very first phone call until the wedding day. He walked us through the entire process and talking to him felt like talking to a family member who truly cares about you. I loved his process of being able to customize your ceremony to exactly how you want it to be. I added some unique parts and he delivered it like he'd read it a million times. He made us and our guests both laugh and cry! He was also extremely helpful at the rehearsal so I would definitely recommend that as an option. I could go on and on...I cannot say enough good things about I Do Ceremonies.

Stephen Simmons was the best investment we made in our wedding. The first time we met him we knew immediately to choose him as our officiant. He was extremely professional, organized, punctual, and down to earth! He has a way of making the process of customizing your wedding ceremony very easy. His website is so helpful when we were piecing together our ceremony. On the wedding day he showed up early and knew exactly how to calm our nerves before we walked down the aisle. The guests absolutely loved him. Numerous guests of ours went out of their way to express how great our ceremony and officiant was! We recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Stephen is the best! Once we got engaged, my husband and I knew we were going to be extremely particular about who our officiant was. We had attended multiple weddings and realized we wanted ours to uniquely reflect us as a couple. After meeting with a few other officiants, we met Stephen. From the first meeting, Stephen was warm and friendly and made Alex and I feel extremely comfortable. He informed us that every ceremony he does is unique, and I knew right away we wanted Stephen to marry us! He has so many ideas and resources for the ceremony and what I loved most is that I could craft exactly what would mean the most to my husband and I. Stephen was so responsive every step of the way, and even went the extra mile to create a unique marriage counseling session questionnaire for my husband and I when I asked. The day of the ceremony, Stephen came and spoke with both Alex and I separately before the ceremony and made us feel even more comfortable! He was so well prepared and the ceremony was absolutely perfect! Having the right officiant is so important, and we are so lucky to have been able to have Stephen as ours! Any couple would be making the absolute right and best choice with I Do Ceremonies!

Stephen is very responsive and professional. He gave us a questionnaire and listed all the details needed to be discussed. However, Stephen told us that due to family emergency, he could not make it to our wedding. He recommended another wedding officiant Mr. Loren Jones to us. Mr. Jones took over and did a wonderful job on our wedding day! It's a stress free process. There is always a plan B. I was moved and cried when my husband said the vows. Mr. Loren Jones is very calm and professional. He gave us the best blessing from the bottom of his heart. Thank you! We HIGHLY recommend Loren Jones to everyone.

I cannot recommend Stephen more highly. He was amazing. We met with him at a Starbucks and discussed our wedding. We knew immediately that we wanted him to officiate our wedding. He gave us a very detailed and intuitive template to work from for our ceremony. We were really able to personalize it to exactly how we wanted.
When it came to the big day, he took our ceremony and really made it flow and personal. He was a comic relief during our ceremony and had a strong presence. We really enjoyed working with him. He submitted our marriage license while we were on our honeymoon and by the time we got back, we already had received our marriage certificate! :)
If you need an officiant for your wedding, Stephen is the guy for you. He did an amazing job. Thank you Stephen!

Stephen is exactly what you’re looking for in an officiant – a commanding presence and voice, courteous, funny, professional, and experienced. We met with him for a consultation before the wedding and were blown away by how prepared he is as an officiant and how he enables every couple to personalize and create their own ceremony. The day of he had our guests laughing and emotional at the same time and we could not have imagined a better outcome. Stephen was fantastic! My fiance and I met him for a consultation a few months before the wedding, and he was so friendly and genuine from the start. He asked lots of questions to get to know us as a couple and what we wanted out of our ceremony. Leading up to the wedding, he was on the ball with sending out reminders to pick our selections, get our marriage license, etc.
The day of the wedding, he talked to everyone involved to make sure everyone was on the same page. The ceremony he performed was perfect - the perfect blend of warmth and humor.
We absolutely loved Stephen, and highly recommend him and I Do Ceremonies!

I was looking for an officiant and found Stephen. I saw his reviews and decided to reach out to him. From the very first email I knew immediately that I wanted him to officiate at our wedding. He provided us with samples that we could include in our ceremony and helped us customize the ceremony to fit exactly what we wanted. He responded quickly to answer any questions we had. Not only was he professional, he was extremely personable and he made our ceremony feel like he had known us for a long time. I can't say enough great things about Stephen. He felt like family from the moment we met him, and he made our wedding perfect. I truly don't think the ceremony would have been the same without him. He was a breeze to work with and communicated with us as much as necessary without being over-bearing for a stressed out bride in the midst of wedding planning! He was so personable and kind. I can't tell you how many people complimented his officiating after the ceremony throughout the night--everyone thought he did amazing and loved our ceremony. We had Stephen for our rehearsal as well, and he rallied our troops and knocked out both an outdoor and rain backup ceremony plan in no time. Look no further if you want someone who will make your ceremony personal and memorable, and who is just truly a genuine human being. Stephen is your guy!

Stephen went above and beyond for our little wedding! I searched up and down for an officiant/location that had all the qualities I wanted and we got so much more. Stephen and his wife were so kind, friendly, and genuine that we enjoyed exploring their property. When searching for an officiant I found that Stephen's website was super helpful. My husband and I met with Stephen to discuss the details of our ceremony and he made it so easy to plan for it. Stephen put us at ease with his organization and thoroughness of all of the details/customization available, including some ideas we had not thought about. No need to read any more reviews. Stop reading this and book Rev. Simmons ASAP. We had a romantic ceremony and knew we wanted the focus to be on the ceremony and not the food or anything else. We hesitated at first due to price being higher than others but after the ceremony we definitely realized why. Rev Simmons was worth every penny and even acted as wedding coordinator getting everyone lined up and letting people know what to do and when. We had a few hiccups but Rev. Simmons was there every time to keep the ball rolling. We have absolutely zero complaints and can't wait to refer him to others. The ceremony ran late (of course) and Rev. Simmons saw I was getting overwhelmed, he stopped everyone in the bridal suite, made eye contact with me and gave me a pep talk and assured me everything was going to be fine - exactly what I needed at that moment. Thanks again Rev!

Absolutely AMAZING. Every single person I talked to mentioned how great he was. He took the time to get to know us over the phone prior to the big day, made notes, then helped us decide on what exactly we wanted for the ceremony options. He has such an easy way of putting together the ceremony - with options to choose from that are totally customization or you can just use them as is. Hands down the easiest part of planning my wedding. Recommend 100 times over. I even had a grandparent ask me if he does funerals... hopefully we won't need that for a while.
