Could mot have asked for anything better

Of the few qualms I might have reflecting back on my wedding day, NONE of them are due to the Hyatt. I worked with Allison Jones the whole planning process and she was incredible. She was relaxed, helpful, knowledgeable, professional and was always there to answer any amount of questions I sent her. The ballroom was beautiful, the servers were sweet and caring, and I was complimented multiple times on the food being the best our guests have ever had at a wedding. The hospitality of the Hyatt and its staff this entire process made everything perfect and I would highly recommend this location. Especially for out of town guests.

We just had our wedding at the Hyatt in November and we couldn't be happier! Lauren was awesome to work with. She was always very quick with responding to any inquiries we had. The food was really good, the venue is beautiful, and the rooms are really nice at the hotel. The bridal suite is huge and was perfect for all us girls to get ready in. I would definitely recomment the Hyatt!!!

I came to the Hyatt after already having booked at Duquesne, our guest list was getting enormous and neither parent was willing to make cuts (they were paying so they ruled the roost) so I went on a hunt for a place that could accommodate the crowd. This place is simply breathtaking! I instantly fell in love and received SO many compliments the night of the wedding!

The event planner, Lauren, is simply phenomenal. Any question I had over the nine months before the wedding she answered QUICKLY and resolved any issues immediately. I couldn't rave enough about her and the entire Hyatt staff, they paid attention to every last detail and made our wedding day perfect!

We held our wedding reception at the Hyatt and it was beautiful and elegant. I cannot say enough about the service we received. Lauren was present for the event and promptly took care of the minor details that always go wrong during a major event. The entire staff was courteous and professional. They made hosting a wedding for 300 people easy. I was able to enjoy the event without worry.

They took great care of us! The Cake from Bethel Bakery was phenominal! The food was amazing! We had a bridal suite included in our package, and they upgraded our parents to a suite for the length of their stays. You can get to the hotel via people-movers without ever leaving the airport. This was perfect for our many, many out of town guests. The lighting was dark, and I wish we hadn't used their sound system. But everything else was amazing.

The planning and responses were quick and satisfactory. The food was excellent. I thought Lauren did a great job but I was extremely dissatisfied with the cookie display. The reception room was not set up in enough time to notice. Two hours prior to doors opening the room wasn't even close to being ready or I would've noticed. They put all the cookies in tall glass jars all piled on top of each other. They were clumped together, two different kinds on top of each other so you couldn't even reach them. Some were all broken little pieces because people had to dig through to the bottom. I was sick! They were supposed to be presented on big trays and I made sure to request that, not glass jars!!

Overall very satisfied with them as my reception site. Make sure you go over your checklist and timeline very carefully with the coordinator. There was a little bit of confusion with what was taking place when. Food was exceptional. We got so many compliments on how beautiful and elegant our reception was.

If you plan to have your wedding here, make sure you have your own wedding planner to take care of all the issues. Throughout the planning process the wedding coordinator ALWAYS had incorrect information on the paperwork and it would take several emails and phone calls to get it correct. The first issue we ran into the weekend of the wedding was that they didn’t set up the correct number of chairs for the reception. I was the one who caught the mistake. We had even sent them a document stating how many chairs to put at each table and they couldn’t get it right. In addition, they had put out 2 highchairs at the head table and we had NEVER mentioned highchairs in any of our conversations leading up to the wedding. Make sure you reserve the one tall coat rack at the hotel if you plan to get ready there. If someone else is using it, you are out of luck because there isn’t another place to hang your wedding dress in your hotel room. Next, they broke the chuppah my husband and I built. When I was informed it was broken, the event staff wasn’t doing anything to get it fixed. My mother and I had to direct the staff and instruct them on what to do to get it ready for the ceremony, which was only a few hours away. Also, the orchid centerpieces, which were part of the wedding package at the Hyatt, were the wrong color. When I mentioned this to the wedding coordinator she insisted that I had ordered the wrong color. I have emails and pictures that prove that the wrong color was provided. The worst part was that she didn’t even apologize. In addition, the entrée that was served at the reception was different than what we had picked at the tasting. If you are looking for a modern hotel the Hyatt is right for you, but be prepared for poor service.
