Our Daughter's wedding at the Hyatt Centric, Key West was amazing!! The facility, the staff and our planner Kelsey were top notch and so helpful and communicative!

This was truly the best decision we made! Staying and getting married at the Hyatt was extremely enjoyable, beautiful, easy and downright perfect in every single way. The team took care of every detail and event that we hosted onsite for our guests. Everyone raved at how beautiful and smooth the whole wedding trio was. It was truly so easy. I kept saying I couldn’t believe how smooth and flawless each event was. We can’t wait to come back for a future visit!

Our wedding at the Hyatt Centric Key West was nothing short of magical! We selected the Hyatt Centric because we loved the idea of having our ceremony on the dock. By having our reception in the Marquesa room, we were able to accommodate guests who wanted to enjoy the views while being in the air conditioning. We also held our pre-wedding welcome drinks at the Hyatt’s Blue Mojito beach, which was perfect for our group of 41 people.

Our point of contact at the Hyatt was Kelsey and she provided exceptional service from start to finish. Kelsey gave us the hotel’s list of recommended vendors, which helped us find our wedding planner (Family Affair Key West). Kelsey maintained communication with Family Affair throughout the planning, and the process was seamless.

The food was also excellent. We selected the plated dinner option and the chef accommodated our requested modifications after our tasting. Our guests in particular raved about the prime tenderloin and the mashed potatoes! During both of our events, Bobby, Ainsley, and the entire team at the Hyatt accommodated all of our guests with delicious cocktails and attentive service. There were even surprise fireworks at the end of the night from the Christmas parade!

The Hyatt Centric was the perfect venue for our special day. We had our ceremony on the dock, cocktail hour on the beach outside of Blue Mojito and the reception up in the Marquesa ballroom. I loved having the different site options on the property to change up the scenery throughout the evening. All locations are beautiful but the ballroom is absolutely GORGEOUS. Floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ocean. We had 40 guests attend and it was the perfect size for all three sites - cozy but not crowded. We hosted a brunch the following morning in the poolside hammock area, which was also perfect! I can't say enough good things about the Hyatt and their staff. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. Special thanks to Kelsey, who worked with us and our wedding planning team to make sure our day came together flawlessly. We couldn't be happier!

To say that this venue, the people who helped us make our experience so memorable, and the magic of Key West would be an understatement.

The property is fantastic. Our room (2301) was perfect for our needs and the panoramic views were amazing. It was close for our entire, mobility challenged group to traverse.

The Marquesa location was transformed into exactly what my bride had in her mind. The food from the Hors d’oeuvres to dinner options were incredible.

We just recently had our wedding at the Hyatt Centric in Key West. We worked with Brianna Amaro for about a year and she was beyond helpful and responsive to help us plan our big day. The day turned out absolutely perfect in every way. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the scenery and food. Everything went exceptionally smooth from start to finish. The service was exceptional at the wedding, the servers ans bartenders were great. Brianna was so great to work with and even helped us with taking care of decorations we couldn't take home with us after the wedding. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in the Keys!

Our overall wedding experience at the Hyatt Centric Key West was exceptional! Planning a wedding can be stressful, but not when you’re working with the best of the best at the Hyatt. Our events manager, Brianna Amaro, was a pleasure to work with and attended to our every needs. I cannot say enough about Brianna, and how she made the entire event flow magically and without any hiccups. Everyone was amazing - from the front desk manager – Charles, to the bartenders, servers, grounds crew, event staff, etc. The grounds at the Hyatt are beautiful, and the venue we held our reception in overlooking the water was breathtaking. The food was also exceptional, and I was incredibly pleased with the high quality and presentation. We had 40 of our closest friends and family attend, and everyone couldn’t stop talking about how magical everything was.

I picked the Hyatt because I fell in love with the Marquesa Room. It was the perfect backdrop and location. But, what over exceeded my expectations was the service I got from the planning team. Brianna and Audrey helped me every step of the way and we’re responsive, personable and above all so wonderful. Not to mention, the day of our wedding the reception staff who all participated were nothing but amazing. Our guests raved about the food from the Hyatt and still rave about it to this day! 10000% recommend you are in great hands with Brianna and Audrey!!

Kristie & the Hyatt team helped make our wedding day perfect! The weather turned out perfectly but even when we had a bit of a quick Key West thunderstorm scare, Kristie was there to help reassure and calm everyone :) She went above and beyond to help us and answer all of our questions. The venue is absolutely stunning and offers the perfect Key West vibe, right on the water with a beautiful dock space for the ceremony, balcony for cocktail hour, and inside venue (with huge windows) for the reception. The food was wonderful as well -- one of our avid steak eaters who can never be pleased even mentioned how delicious the filet was. All of our guests loved the trip down to Key West to celebrate at the Hyatt! I would recommend this venue to everyone!

Our wedding took place 12/7/19 and I have nothing but great things to say about the Hyatt Centric in Key West. First, the venues views from the Marquesa room were spectacular and our cocktail hour was outside on the deck. It was beautiful. I worked with Ashley who took over my wedding 6 months before wedding due to staffing changes. She was phenomenal and was able to answer any questions I had in regards to planning etc. The food was also very delicious and we were very pleased. This venue does require you hire a day-of wedding coordinator. This was a little annoying at first but since my ceremony was off site it was the best decision as it allowed my entire day to run smoothly. If you are considering them as a venue spot I highly recommend them our wedding was nothing short of a dream.

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at the Hyatt. The Hyatt was extremely responsive when our planner contacted them from the start and were very flexible with packages since we were having a 10am Tuesday morning wedding. The Hyatt grounds are beautiful and our ceremony on the dock was exactly how I had imagined it. The Marquesa Room is where we had our 2 hour brunch reception and WOW, this room is gorgeous. We had very little decorations which weren't needed since the space is very pretty on its own. Taylor was the event manager I dealt with majority of the time however a few weeks before our wedding she left the organization and Jeremy became the new manager. I was slightly nervous that with the change of managers my wedding would suffer however that was far from the case and everything ran extremely smooth. I would 100% recommend the Hyatt to future Brides and Grooms!

It was such a perfect week to bring our family and closet family to paradise! The hotel staff went out of their way to make everyone feel special. They even accommodated ur request for a welcome event and allowed us to use the restaurant catering menu at the bar. Our family is still talking about how great the food was and how lovely the reception and welcome event were.

We had the best wedding here! It was small and perfect. Taylor went above and beyond to help plan our wedding. We are locals and wanted to plan our wedding in 1 week. It sounds scary but with the help of Taylor and everyone else who works there, it was a breeze!!! Cute decorations, delicious food, professional staff. This is an amazing venue and I would personally recommend it to everyone.

The Hyatt made our wedding week truly magical, and I would advise anyone interested or contemplating the Hyatt to go for it! You will not regret it. I planned a destination wedding, and Taylor at the Hyatt was with me every single step of the way, and made the whole process easy and fun. She was always available via phone or email whenever I needed her, and every detail that I requested was completed to the T. The planning was simple, but then when it was time for the event, the real fun began, and we have the entire Hyatt staff to thank for that. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate with our family and friends. The Hyatt feels like a big happy, smiling family that welcomed us all in with open arms. Each and every staff member from check-in to concierge, to house keeping, to maintenance, restaurant saff, etc, etc, etc was conscientious, helpful, friendly, and more than happy to help in any way possible. All of our guests had the same feelings, and were all remarking about how impressed they were with the service. We had our ceremony on the dock, which was simply stunning! Cocktail hour followed on the veranda, then reception in the beautiful Marquesa room. Pictures just don't do it justice, as the staff skillfully creates beautiful events and the execution is perfect and seamless. There is no exaggeration in saying that everything was PERFECT. The food was delicious, and guests are still commenting on the hors d'oeuvres! A friend who is planning a wedding recently asked me if there is anything that I would have done differently if I could do it all over again, and the simple answer was "nothing." I picked the right venue, and they have the BEST staff. Thanks a million!

Taylor the event coordinator was the best to work with. She answered every question I had via email in a timely manor. It was had doing in from New Orleans but she was always there. And everything turned out excellent. The food was amazing!!!!! Everyone raves about it. The reception venue was gorgeous doesn’t need much decoration. Couldn’t have been any happier.

The team at the Hyatt Centric Resort was amazing to work with. The customer service was exceptional. From my first email to Taylor through our wedding day, everything went smoothly. Taylor always responded very quickly to any question I had and provided suggestions to me as well - she is a rock star!
This venue was exactly what I pictured for my wedding day. I wanted views of the water but also an indoor/outdoor space for the reception just in case it was too hot. The Hyatt had both and many additional options!
We welcomed our guests to Key West with a happy hour at the Blue Mojito the night before our wedding. Lisa and team took great care of us and our guests. The food and drinks were so good.
Our wedding day was flawless! Our dock ceremony was beautiful and the Marchesa room for our reception was amazing! The drinks were flowing and the food was phenomenal! We had the surf and turf buffet and our guests still talk about how good the food was!
We had an awesome day celebrating and to top it off we returned to our room to find a framed picture from our ceremony along with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne!

The hotel is incredible and so beautiful but what makes the difference is the staff. You are lucky if you have Taylor and her team to work with. They will make you feel so special, and not miss one beat.

The venue, food and accommodations were fantastic. I worked directly with Taylor and she did a fantastic job. Hurricane Irma messed up our cocktail hour plans but Taylor had a fantastic plan B. She was so helpful with the entire process. Even the room reservations. The night before the wedding she made sure my hotel room and my husbands hotel room was no where near each other. No matter what I asked for she said "no problem". The hotel itself is great. It's smaller making for a more family oriented environment. Everyone who worked there was so personable and helpful. Great location. To be able to walk everywhere is such a plus (although I recommend renting scooters). I would highly recommend this hotel for a wedding or even a weekend stay.

The Hyatt Resort in Key West is beyond amazing. I had heard nothing but amazing things from every vendor I had contact with these last few months and they told me that I would be amazed. Amazed is an understatement. This team is incredible. The exceeded every expectation I had and even blew me away with their kindness, hospitality, care, and attention to detail for things I never imagined. The food, the service, the venue, the amenities, the view, the rooms, EVERYTHING!!!!!! I know without a doubt that this resort will be a place we will frequent for anniversaries and trips for years to come. Marisela and Taylor you ladies have been such a huge blessing to me, my hubby, my family and my friends. I can't thank any of you enough. You made my wedding more spectacular than ever. May you have a lifetime of happiness that mirrors the joy I have in my heart right now.

Look NO further if you are considering Key West. I cannot say enough good things about Marisela, Taylor, and the rest of The Hyatt crew. Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful, but Marisela and Taylor are seasoned professionals that make the entire process easy and manageable.

About the venue itself- you will not find a better view for your wedding anywhere else on Key West. The Marquesa room gives you a panoramic view of the water while also being tucked away so you do not feel like any resort guest can look inside. I would also suggest renting out the Harbor Boardroom for the day of preparation. The Hyatt provides a coordinator that will come in to check on the bridal party, refilling the water station, and taking orders for lunch.

The nicest touch of the night, however, was coming back to our room and finding a picture of our first dance framed as a gift to us from The Hyatt family. Everyone here knows how to make you feel like royalty. I would highly recommend booking them!

SO BEAUTIFUL! I had my wedding ceremony on the beach followed my the reception in the Marquesa room. The view is breathtaking! Easy to take lots of gorgeous pictures. Everyone couldn't stop talking about the food! I wish I was able to eat more! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Marisela and Taylor were amazing! It was more than I could ever envision and I feel lucky that I was able to have my wedding there!

The staff at the Hyatt and service referrals they made are extremely helpful and professional. The Hyatt location is gorgeous and has a wonderful view! I would recommend this location without hesitation.

Know that booking a wedding at the Key West Hyatt will be a premier, unmatched event. The event managers, specifically Marisella and Taylor provide the highest level of expertise, communication, responsiveness and courtesy that one needs to plan a destination wedding, as we planned, or locally attended events. I'll never forget just how great everything pulled together at the Hyatt.

Marisela and Taylor were great to work with at the Hyatt Key West! It was one of the best weddings/vacations every. Make sure and stay at the Hyatt and have all your guests stay there as well. We had such a great time waking up every morning to everyone close to us hanging out by the pool or having a drink at the bar. A month later we are still getting texts and Instagram posts asking when we can all go back and do it again!

I can’t begin to say enough about Marisela and her team at the Hyatt. If you are planning a wedding in Key West look no further! The food was AMAZING and the atmosphere was even better! We got married on Blue Mojito Beach and then had our reception on the Dock. It was truly perfect and exceeded my expectations. I was very nervous planning a wedding without having seen the venue but it was absolutely the right choice. Marisela was very helpful and even let us do a last minute food tasting when we arrived in Key West just 5 days before our wedding. Of course, Marisela gave us the perfect recommendations and everything we had planned was on the final menu and was delicious!

We got married on September 6th 2015 and can't tell you just how fabulous the Hyatt Regency Resort is along with Marisela who made this day for us the BEST DAY EVER!!

We chose Key West because although we'd never been there we wanted somewhere warm and tropical and somewhere in the middle for all our wedding guests to fly to. I'd been reading every review on weddingwire as well as searching the internet high and low and can tell you that there is no other place better to host both your ceremony and reception than the Hyatt. Their location is perfect and the second story view from the Marquesa room puts all other reception venues to shame!!!

I originally booked our ceremony on the Blue Mojito beach but when I flew over in May to check it out I realised that I wanted their pier as it had much more room to spread out. Thankfully no one had reserved the spot so Marisela was able to make that change. The menu tasting and options were so yummy that the only request I made was to add more cheese to my salad :)

For those planning their wedding in Key West!
1) Look no further because the Hyatt's location and view are just stunning!! It also makes it very easy for you to walk around town with your photographer to get the best of Key West photo spots!
2) Have them add the christmas lights to the Marquesa balcony so it makes it very inviting at night and guests still feel welcomed.
3) Have them add on the drink service when guests arrive for the ceremony, our guests loved this touch
4) You get a free room night if you spend so much for your wedding but what really WOW'd us was that night when we got back to the room they had taken the time to take and frame a photo of us at our ceremony and put it by the bedside table!! I've never seen this and couldn't believe it!! We have it on our nightstand at home and it's so special!

My whole experience with Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa was really great. I had my wedding reception there. The customer service was fantastic - they accommodated a room for my soon-to-be husband at the time the night before the wedding on last minute notice despite it being a holiday weekend and were even able to give him a late check out. Throughout the planning process Marisela helped us sort out the reception with ease, the whole planning was painless and they actually made it fun! The morning of the wedding we were given a room for the bridal party to get ready in, the groomsmen stayed in that room while the bridesmaids got ready in my room (bride). The groomsmen were given complimentary beer while preparing for the day and the women were given mimosas - it was such a nice gesture by Hyatt and made such an hectic day more relaxful and fun! I was very pleased with the service during the wedding, everything was on time and the guests were all taken aback by the beauty of the Marquesa room and the view out over the water. The food (buffet) was delicious, we had the carved beef, mahi mahi, macaroni bar, and vegan taco bar. Really picky eaters were going back for seconds and thirds and could not believe how delicious everything was. After the wedding, the staff was nice enough to help us take our hand crafted centerpieces along with flowers from the wedding and bring it all to our room. The whole experience was perfect and I would recommend the Hyatt to anyone. Thank you Hyatt and especially thank you to Marisela who helped us experience the perfect wedding day!

Beautiful hotel!!!! The marquesa room is gorgeous especially during sunset hours. The food is exceptional and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Marisela, who is the planner is amazing to work with and very attentive!!! We did a cruise around key west prior to cocktail hour and the hyatt allowed us to dock the catamaran on there premises. Everything was beautiful and perfect and I would not change one thing about the venue!

When researching on a location in the Florida Keys to have a destination wedding, I simply relied on reviews via internet. I searched more months on end and they all seemed to be very similar. When I heard back from Marisela, I knew then that I wanted to have my wedding at The Hyatt Resort and Spa in Key West! Marisela is outstanding (to say the least)!!! She is professional, organized, and one of the most friendly and helpful people I have ever had the privilege of meeting. Being we were flying in from ND, I was a bit nervous that everything would be done and perfect but of course, Marisela had everything pretty much complete for me. When I arrived, my cake topper had gotten broke and she fixed it and had it on my cake like nothing happened at the reception. Also, there was a room reservation conflict that we had booked through Expedia (so not The Hyatt's fault at all) and they apologized up and down, gave us a room earlier than normal on that day, AND gave us breakfast free for the next morning because they felt so bad. Now THAT'S accommodating!!! I would highly recommend this facility to have your wedding. And I know that my husband and I can't wait to go back to The Hyatt to visit!!!

We had a beautiful wedding at the Hyatt on the beach followed by a brunch reception in the Marquesa room. We were on a very tight timeline, arriving by cruiseship, and Marisela and the Hyatt helped our plans become reality-- and on a reasonable budget. The Blue Mojito beach is the quaint location for an intimate ceremony with your family and friends and no one sunbathing in a thong! You don't have to worry about crazy bystanders on a public beach because the beach is Hyatt property. The Hyatt guests were very respectful of our short ceremony and maintained distance, but clapped and offered well-wishes. The reception was just upstairs in the Marquesa room that has million dollar gulf views -- no need to overdo the decorations when you have natural beauty for all of the guests to enjoy. The food was PHENOMENAL! In our tasting prior to the date we selected Key West-centric foods that would tantalize our guests' tastebuds. The chef took those small bites at the tasting and was able to replicate the same great quality and taste for our 50 guests. We had conch and shrimp soup, shrimp and chorizo paella, skirt steak with chimichurri, quinoa salad, and of course KEY LIME PIE (the BEST i have EVER had... and yes, I've tried nearly every pie on the island.. no wonder it is award winning!) Our guests could not stop raving about the food options and the view, many vowing to return! I'm so delighted we chose Hyatt and had a wonderful experience!

This place was amazing, from Day 1 they answered our questions and provided feedback. Marisela was in charge of our event and she was absolutely amazing. The food was some of the best food we had on the entire island, our guests loved all 3 choices we had. We were lucky and got one of those Key West sunsets and you will not be disappointed with the view from this resort. We had the reception in the Marquesa room and it was perfect. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone and the service you will get from this resort is second to none!

My husband and I had originally looked at the Hyatt for our wedding ceremony. Due to the size of our event however this was not possible. Luckily it was the perfect size for our rehearsal dinner. The Marquesa Room has an amazing view that is ideal for watching the sunset. With floor to ceiling windows and high ceilings we couldn't have asked for a better venue. Our guests all agreed that the food was great too. We got so many compliments on how great everything turned we would definitely host another event there.

I cannot say enough positive things about the Key West Hyatt. We had our reception at Blue Mohito Beach a few weeks ago. BEAUTIFUL VENUE! Marisela, the coordinator, is exceptional at what she does! She was such a pleasure to work with, and answered every silly question I had throughout the planning process. We planned everything from a distance through email and phone conversations, and she was extremely prompt and thorough with every response. Wedding food can be hit or miss at weddings, but the Hyatt Key West delivered a meal that our families and friends are still talking about! The truffled sweet potatoes are delicious!!!

We could not imagine a better place in Key West to have a wedding. Not only was the staff wonderful but the food, drinks, accommodations were all perfect. We were also looking at Southernmost and Marriott Beachside. Soooo glad we chose the Hyatt. By far the best location in Key West!!! Special thanks to Marisela!!

We had our reception in the Marquesa room and could not have picked a better place! Cocktail hour is just outside the room and all of the guests loved being able to see the sunset. From inside, you have panoramic views of the ocean. The Hyatt is so lucky to have Marisela as the event coordinator. She truly went above and beyond for us - I could not have been more impressed with her responsiveness and willingness to help. She is fabulous.

Working with the Hyatt was a wonderful experience from day 1. I live in OH and was very worried about selecting a venue without ever seeing it, the venue was beautiful and just as I imagined it. We had our wedding on the pier and made the decision to have the reception inside a month prior to the wedding. The inside venue was amazing and so happy I decided to have it there. The food was great which my guest raved about. The hotel is beautiful and the staffing is AWESOME and very accomadating. When we return to key west (we already want to visit again!) we will be staying at the hyatt! Great location with a beautiful view! I cant thank the hyatt enough for our wonderful experience and perfect wedding!

Hyatt Resort in Key West has it down and knows how to do it well! Everything from the planning of the wedding, reception, brunch, and room block was PERFECT! The entire weekend was WONDERFUL! The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the staff is very friendly. Jillian Pahren did a fantastic job with planning and execution. The whole day was stress free and flawless (except the rain!). She handled the vendors, supervised the set up and breakdown so all I had to do was relax and get fancy! My guests stayed at the Hyatt and had nothing but positive comments about the hotel and their staff. The Hyatt is in an excellent location, and the food is delicious!

We just got back from celebrating our wonderful day and it was AMAZING!!! The Hyatt was very accomodating and was at our beck and call. I have not one complaint about my wedding day. Great venue, I would definately consider the Hyatt in Key West as your wedding destination!

We had our wedding reception here and could not have been happier with this venue. The room is beautiful and has great sunset and water views. They have delicious food and all of the staff was wonderful and very helpful!

The whole process with planning the venue with Taylor was just amazing. She is on point, kind, enthusiastic, and patient! I felt more comfortable asking her questions than my own wedding planner. She was so easy to work with and made the whole process easy even with all the last minute changes that we had. The staff were courtesy and welcoming when we arrived and everything was already set up and was ready to go. We will be coming back for sure, but this time as a MARRIED COUPLE! Whoop whoop! You guys are really lucky to have Taylor on your staff, she really was wonderful.

The Hyatt was a wonderful place for a wedding! The location is excellent and the prices are very comparable to everywhere else on the island even with such a great location. Jillian, the catering manager, is great! She took care of everything for us and jumped right on solving our minor tuxedo issue before the ceremony. The food was great and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
I do recommend asking for as high a floor as possible for the king salon suite. The balcony is not very private when you're on the second floor.

Amazing!!! Taylor and Toni were both wonderful to work with and the entire staff at the Hyatt are so welcoming and helpful! We had stayed at the resort while planning our wedding and had our ceremony and reception here as well as the day after brunch! The food was delicious and all of our guests raved about it, the drinks were flowing all night and no one wanted the night to end! The views from the marquesa ballroom are stunning and the staff working our event was wonderful! We can’t wait to return to the Hyatt again!

Taylor was the best to work with, very accommodating and replied quickly to all of our questions. Planning from a distance is difficult but Taylor made it easier (down to taking measurements of chairs, tables, and lanterns for me), and we never had the feeling that something wasn't going to get done. Would recommend her and the team in a heart beat. The Marqueza room is truly one of the best rooms in the island to have an indoor wedding and still enjoy the views of the oceans and sunset!

Jillian and the ENTIRE staff at the Hyatt were totally amazing. Planning a wedding from a distance, plus dealing with a bride that is 'in the industry' can be very difficult. The Hyatt did an outstanding job! My husband & I looking forward to planning our one year anniversary already. Thank you to everyone at the Hyatt - it was an outstanding event!!!!

the food was amazing the attention we received was the best the only problem I had was when I needed to reschedule because of weather it wasn't possible , which I totally understand because it is a restaurant and they cant just close sections off last minute. Again great place the food, the views, the service loved it all.

I couldn't have asked for a better team of resort for our day. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a key west wedding. Food was also absolutely amazing!

Taylor Blount at the Hyatt Centric was very pleasant to work with, extremely professional and responded to all my questions in a timely manner.

The Hyatt's Marquesa Room was gorgeous. The food was excellent and I received lots of compliments. The views of the water and sunset were stunning and priceless. Marisela was great to deal with and always so pleasant.

We loved the venue, loved the food, loved the service and staff at Hyatt. The Director of Operations was fantastic at trouble shooting our issues with the original person we were assigned with. Her responsiveness and professionalism completely changed my views of Hyatt Centric Key West since up until meeting her, we were struggling with basic communication challenges ranging from the vendor contact not understanding that food code of cow=filet mignon and fish=snapper to contacting us the day before we fly into Key West, to discuss extra fees related to meal prep, even though we have already signed a completed EO long ago. That added so much extra, unnecessary, preventable stress.

Luckily the Director of Operations stepped in and saved the day. When we started working directly with her, everything was the way we expected the Hyatt brand to represent. In fact, the rest of the staff, went above and beyond what I thought could be possible, since our initial interaction with Hyatt was quite traumatic.

In the end, thanks to the right folks who worked so hard to ensure that it was a memorable day for us, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Hyatt Centric Key West. Even our parents loved their stay!

We made some beautiful memories at the Hyatt Centric Key West for our wedding. We had 40 people for the ceremony on the Gulfside dock, and reception at the Marquesa ballroom. The views of the water are spectacular. The wedding service is excellent. It's expensive but so is everything in Key West and it's worth it. We were upset when the catering manager Taylor Blount left the Hyatt for another position in Charleston a few months before our wedding because she was a big reason why we picked the Hyatt. We worked with Jeremy Huntley, her replacement, and he was really nice and effusive and did everything he could to make our wedding go smoothly.

This is going to be a long one so bare with me. My wedding was 11/17/19 and it was the best day of my life. Out of all the places in Key West and back home on Long Island it was hands day the most gorgeous venue with the most beautiful view and I will never regret it. With that being said.... Hyatt does not respect the people having their wedding in their venue. Besides the free wedding night room. Everything thing else was nickel and dimed. If you wanna breathe in the room? $100. My sister in law surprised us with a video from the singer of our wedding song saying congrats to us and they wanted to charge her $300 to use the projector. RUDE. We wanted to stay in the hotel the night before the wedding because it would be much easier to wake up there and have our stuff there but they wouldn't give us a realistic price per night EVEN THOUGH we were spending $10,000 to have our wedding there. From the minute we signed our contract to a year later when we had our wedding we got tossed around from event manager to event manager with no heads up THREE times in 1 year. All of a sudden I wouldn't get responses anymore and a week or two later on a Monday morning there was my email that the last person was "no longer with us." And from there we had to go over everything all over again and make sure the next person knew our story and our wedding. By the third person I realized these people didn't care about us or our wedding day so we hired a month of coordinator. If you are having a wedding in Key West stop what your doing and go hire Desiree from Simply You weddings and thank me later. Anyway, the wedding was beautiful, and the venue itself was incredible and in the perfect spot for a private wedding and then to walk to duval and go out after. Moral of the Story, book Hyatt Centric for the view and the location and the most beautiful room but get a planner so they can deal with the hotel for you!!

Taylor and her team did a great job so this review is not directed at her. I was really disappointed in the service we received from the rest of the hotel staff. For example, the wedding bouquets were dropped off to the front desk in error by the florist. I went to go pick them up to bring to my room and multiple Hyatt employees stood around and watched as I struggled with the large box. No one offered to help me. The elevator was broken so I had to carry the large box up four flights of stairs. At one point a random guest stopped to help me and thought I was the flower delivery person, not the bride. Separately, when my mother showed up carrying bags and the gowns, the Hyatt staff at the front entrance stood around and watched her struggle to carry everything without offering to help. This isn't the service I expected, especially when spending a significant amount of money for the event.

My fiancé and I loved this venue it was gorgeous and in the correct location however, we had a ton of miscommunication and long story short, my wedding was not what I envisioned . I was to be able to get in the venue the day prior and actually never got to do that to setup . If you choose this venue make sure you are always double checking. There was rude staff at our reception among other things. I would recommend with the intent to make sure everything in thorough and finalized in the contract even the time to get into the venue if you are decorating. Everyone I dealt with was kind ,lame courteous but no one seemed to know exactly what was going on .
