    Amazing planner---even better person

    While my fiancé and I only ended up working with Mandy for a short time due to unforeseen circumstances, I can tell you that you want Mandy planning your wedding. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, networked, and talented with planning, she is a GOOD person who makes you feel valued and appreciated in the wedding process. In an industry that is ridden with vendors and venues constantly churning out impersonal products, Mandy takes true personal investment into her clients to plan a perfect day. Choose Hummingbird bridal---you will not be disappointed!!

    Mandy is the best!

    Mandy is the absolute best wedding planner ever. She is so on top of things and fun to work with. She really gets to know you and your partner to make the most unique wedding possible.

    She is so creative and brings all of her knowledge in to make a phenomenal wedding. When speaking with all of our vendors, they constantly raved about how amazing she is- that she was very on top of everything, gave them all of the information they needed, and worked well with them. She also has such an extensive fund of knowledge since being in the wedding industry- she knows when things need to be done and has many recommendations for vendors to use for each aspect. She also came to all of the meetings and made sure that we asked the important questions when choosing vendors. She has a timeline to follow and great online tools to help with all aspects of the wedding.

    She is incredibly responsive- i could text her at any time and email her and she always got back to me right away. She is also just SO FUN!!! She makes planning a wedding exciting and fun, even amongst all of the stress of it.

    On wedding day, she was calm and remained very on top of things- she and her team had anything we needed at all points, including safety pins for last minute bridesmaids dress alterations and bandaids when I cut my arm!

    She helped me to make all of my wedding dreams come true!!! We had the most perfect wedding and so much of that is owed to Mandy. Everything went perfectly, including our epic arrival by boat!! I owe so much to Mandy and if you want an EPIC wedding, go with Hummingbird Bridal & Events!!

    The best planner in the business!

    Mandy and her team are absolutely the best in the business, and I am so grateful that we were fortunate enough to have Mandy plan our wedding. On top of being one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, Mandy is the utmost professional, the wedding therapist I didn't know I'd need, exceptionally innovative and creative, honest and transparent, and a perfectionist when it comes to the details. I loved the planning process, but I had a really hard time articulating vague ideas into specific wishes. Mandy brought everything to life in the most beautiful way. Her personal relationships with the best vendors ensured that our vendor team was outstanding. We simply could not have asked for a more perfect and beautiful day. It was important to me that our guest experience was personalized and thoughtful, and Mandy prioritized this from the outset. It came to life in the very best of ways, and our guests are still reliving every detail even one month later! Our wedding day was totally stress free, because every single detail had been attended to and was being overseen by Mandy. I could not have imagined being more relaxed on my wedding day! We will forever hold our wedding day, our garden party, as the best day in our lives to date. If you have the chance to work with Mandy in planning your wedding or event, take every advantage of it!     Everything was Perfect.

    In making his recommendation of Mandy to me, my cousin, a previous client of Hummingbird said, "best money I ever spent." I could not agree more, our daughter's wedding indeed was perfect. We would change nothing. In particular, our wedding was challenging in that my wife and I would be hosting a wedding in Rhode Island. We live in Seattle, Wa. Working with our daughter and her fiance, Mandy handled everything. The wedding was magical and most importantly completely stress free. My wife and I were able to sit back and fully enjoy the biggest day of our daughter's life.

    A Wedding Beyond my Wildest Dreams

    Mandy and the rest of the Hummingbird Team are the best!! From the very start, she was a joy to work with. Although I knew how I wanted to feel on my wedding day (at peace, joyful, surrounded by people who I loved), I didn’t know how to make that happen on my own – the number of decisions that I had to make were overwhelming, and I wasn’t sure how to create a clear vision for the day. Enter Mandy. From the beginning, she excelled at taking my (often) vague ideas and translating them to a clear and exquisite vision that beautifully reflected both my husband and I. Every detail of the day captured us as a couple – I truly believe that our guests were given a beautiful glimpse of who we are and the love that we have for one another, and much of that is credited to Mandy’s exceptional skill at planning a perfect day. Her recommendations were always spot-on, and she consistently ensured that every choice made connected to my husband and I’s specific character and taste. The vendors she recommended were fantastic to work with, and on the day of the wedding I felt like there was not a single thing for me to worry about. Mandy and her team took care of all of it. At one point, my mom said “I must be the most relaxed mother of the bride in all of history!” Everything was perfect, and it would not have been possible without Mandy’s exceptional service.

    Best Wedding Decision We Made

    Hiring Mandy was the absolute best decision that my husband and I made in planning our wedding. I reached out to around 6 wedding planners at the beginning of the process. Mandy was the only one to answer the phone, respond to my emails in a timely manner and provide valuable guidance before we even hired her. Once we brought Mandy onboard as our planner, the impeccable service continued and she made the whole process stress free and fun! Mandy listened to our vision for the day, provided us with curated vendor recommendations who were both in budget and would understand our tastes and then attended each vendor meeting with us to ask the tough questions we would have never thought of. As our wedding day got closer, both of us were extremely busy with work and Mandy was able to execute on all of the details with little help from us. She also handled the day of execution flawlessly with members of her team. All of our vendors were well coordinated and everyone was put at ease. If anything went wrong, we didn't know about it! Our wedding design was unique and not cookie cutter at all. Hire Mandy, you won't regret it!

    Experience of working together with the #1 Wedding planner

    I have been officiating weddings for over 30 years and I have found that an attentive, professional and considerate wedding planner can make a tremendous difference in the tone of the wedding day.     Hiring Mandy was the BEST decision we could have made for our wedding. We were interested in having a venue that was not cookie-cutter and decided to go with a historic mansion. Making this decision, we knew that we would need to bring in all outside vendors and that we would need someone who is a powerhouse in coordinating people and working with vendors. After interviewing other planners, we knew immediately after meeting Mandy that she was the best choice. Other than being warm and becoming our immediate friend, she also knew the industry well and it was clear that she would go above and beyond to meet any and all of our needs.

    Going through the planning process with Mandy kept our stress at the lowest levels possible for wedding planning. She spaced out our decision making so that we could enjoy each step but also made sure that we had plenty of wonderful vendor options inside our budget. For each vendor that we needed, Mandy asked what we wanted and then matched us with a few options that met our price and desires. This made our job very easy as all we needed to do was show up to the meetings she scheduled and enjoy getting to know different vendors. We were honestly so impressed by every vendor that she sent us to and in the end we were thrilled with all of our choices. We believe that this was the most valuable part of Mandy's help. It saved us tons of time of research and kept the focus on the enjoyable parts of wedding planning. No matter which vendors we ended up with, we trusted that Mandy sent great people our way and that they would do a great job on our wedding day.

    On the day of, we had no responsibilities or concerns. Mandy had done such a great job of communicating and coordinating with us and our vendors so that there was no stress leading up to the day. It was very easy to disconnect from the planning and focus on the day knowing that she was behind the logistics. We can't thank Mandy enough for everything she has done for us!

    I wish there was a 6 star option for Mandy and the Hummingbird team.

    I've been fortunate enough to DJ several weddings over the last few years that Mandy has coordinated and run the show from start to finish. Even more fortunate that Mandy has been kind enough to actually recommend me for those weddings & connect me w the couples.

    If you are thinking of hiring a wedding planner/coordinator - honestly look no further. Mandy and her team (shout out to Kenny - THE MAN) - they are 100000 percent amazing to work with. Very professional with every single detail for your big day but also on top of that - they're just FUN to be around. Not stuck up and stuffy at all or a bad attitude - they plan out every single thing you can imagine and bring every idea you have to life for your event - I've seen it time and time again & hope to see more of it in the years to come.

    As a DJ who is super organized myself - I LOVE and cannot stress this enough how thorough Mandy is w details. Timeline of every single thing happening for the day - even if it involves you or not - she sends it over to every vendor so we are all on the same page - I mean we are all there for the same reason anyway to deliver the best service possible for clients & Mandy makes sure that happens. She puts everyone at ease with her calm demeanor and is so go with the flow if any changes need to be met or adjusted last minute.

    Bottom line: if you are in the position to hire a planner - do it and don't think twice. Mandy will make your event the most amazing and memorable experience and she is just an awesome person you'll most likely end up becoming friends with her during the process.

    Mandy of Hummingbird Bridal is simply the best!! I don't know how we would have pulled off our wedding without her!

    We wanted a wedding that was unique, felt like "us," that wouldn't break our budget. We spent looong hours finding the perfect venue. Unfortunately, that venue (Community Rowing Boathouse) didn't have an on-site person who would "run the show" and help ensure our wedding day went smoothly. As our planning progressed, it became more apparent that hiring a "day-of coordinator" would be smart and worth the investment. However, a wedding planner wasn't factored into our budget.

    We first spoke with a few planners we found on Yelp and in other Boston wedding magazines, and were turned off by their bossy, often arrogant attitude toward weddings in general (not to mention their high price tags!). We didn't want someone to tell us how it "had" to be done. We wanted to find someone who would who would complement our style and help us execute OUR wedding, not overhaul the vision we already had. (Within budget, of course.)

    We were about to give up the search when we found Hummingbird Bridal. Halleluiah!

    The price was right. Our date was available. Most importantly, Mandy was the PERFECT fit for us.

    We quickly realized Mandy is the wedding planner for those who don't want a wedding planner. When we first met Mandy for coffee, we explained where we were in the planning process, showed her magazines, threw out ideas we had. She was so sweet and supportive, and we immediately could tell that she "got it," and we felt comfortable and confident in her ability- and her fabulous personality! We hired her on the spot.

    Even though we hired her for day-of coordination, she was still readily available and responsive when we hit a snag throughout the planning process. When we needed advice on centerpieces, limos, bridesmaid gifts, you name it, Mandy was there with brainstorms, links, advice. (My husband was obviously devastated he got to miss out on some of these VERY crucial decisions). She always offered up great solutions and was never personally offended if we choose not to follow through with her suggestions.

    When it came time for the wedding, she ran the rehearsal brilliantly and executed our entire wedding day without a hitch. She coordinated timing with all of our vendors, made sure the lights were hung, flowers in place, photo booth in order. Working solo, she juggled both a limo & shuttle bus break-down and still managed to get the wedding started on time. She was super friendly yet professional to all our family, friends, and guests, not to mention all our vendors, and at the end of the night even made sure gifts, etc. were safely in their designated car. And she did it all with a great attitude and sense of humor.

    The wedding was a smashing success, and I don't know how we could have pulled it off without her. Hiring Hummingbird Bridal was hands down the BEST decision we made in planning our wedding! Thank you Mandy!!!!

    My husband I found Hummingbird Bridal and Events through Yelp. We'd looked at and spoken with several other wedding planners as well, but weren't willing to shell out their astronomical rates. We planned our Groton, MA, wedding from San Francisco, and were in desperate need of someone to help us plan our wedding. Since we weren't local, we really wanted someone who, after hearing what our likes/dislikes were and what our vision was for the wedding, could give us a few recommendations per vendor and help us knock them down one by one. We found exactly that in Hummingbird Bridal and are so happy with the services they provided for our wedding! Mandy was such a joy to work with- she has a great personality and is really great when it comes to being able to put everything in perspective and focus you on what's most important at that particular moment. She was able to help us knock of vendors and tasks one by one, and really made the entire process so much less overwhelming than it was when we first started trying to put everything together on our own. Mandy felt like a true friend to both my husband and I throughout the entire process, and we are so glad to have had her as part of our wedding day! Both she and her team are very professional and they did such a great job of pulling everything together the day of. If anything went wrong during our ceremony or reception, I can honestly say I had no idea- it was either as perfectly executed as I thought, or they did such a good job of taking care of everything that I never even knew there were any mishaps- and that's exactly what I wanted =) I would definitely recommend her and her team to anyone in need of help for their wedding- the value can't be beat!

    Hiring Mandy on as my wedding planner was legitimately the worst, most costly decision I have made in my entire life. The actual day of my wedding there were various issues that went wrong. Mandy didn't memorize the items of my menu, which resulted in food being wrongly served at different parts of the night and also one of my two specialty cocktails not being made at all initially. At the end of the night, none of my to-go food was packaged as was previously requested. My $600 wedding cake was thrown into the fridge and my kitchen was left a mess. While this is more so the fault of the catering company, I certainly feel there was a lack of supervision with Mandy as my event coordinator. Gigantic, open bags of trash were left scattered across my property (in the middle of the woods where animals could have easily torn things apart). This is just a few of the many issues we encountered.

    Regarding my budget- what was most frustrating is that all along the way I sent constant reminders: "as long as it's within my budget" and "my budget should be okay with this, correct?" Not once did Mandy indicate 1) I would go over my budget at all 2) how much I would go over. Even when I spoke with Mandy after the wedding and confronted her about the budget overage, she continued to claim that every decision was "in budget". The week leading up to the wedding I was slammed with invoice after invoice. At this point it was already too late to make any sort of changes.

    Altogether, at the end of this whole experience, what I regret the most was how much I trusted Mandy. I trusted her with years of saved money and with the most special day of my young adult life. Mandy did not consider my budget at all evidenced by the $10K I went over (in an email she claimed I went over by a little more than only $8K..that is not the case as I am the one reviewing & paying my CC bill). Mandy only cares about working with her pool of vendors and not about her clients. Take your $6,000 elsewhere!
