    I went into the Aurora location when they were near closing on the day of a very big sale. I'd been looking online for dresses for a couple of hours and saw one that I absolutely loved. After searching through eight rows of beautiful gowns I chanced upon that exact same dress in my size at an 80% discount. I loved my experience!

    My daughter and I had already been to 6 previous bridal shops and we finally found the dress for her big day at the House of Brides in Chicago. Thanks to Nydia and her staff, my daughter was pure perfection and breathtaking on her wedding day!!! Nydia has been in the bridal business for over 20 years and it shows!!! She is professional and reliable. She was not pushy and helped us stay in our budget. My daughter's gown arrived in plenty of time for alterations. We were so happy with the service we received from Nydia and her staff, that we ordered all of the bridesmaids dresses as well!!! We will be in soon to show you the beautiful pictures!!!

    I came to this store after I didn't find anything at my scheduled appointment at David's Bridal. Now dont get me wrong DB has a nice selection of dresses but none of them felt like they were the one. I went across the street to House of Brides that very same day. I was only in there for about 20 miniutes when I found my perfect dream dress. I was so happy. It was a discontinued dress that was marked down to a lovely price. One of a kind if I do say so myself. 100% silk and fit me like a glove. I would absolutely reccommend H.O.B to any bride.

    I had an amazing experience at House of Brides. They were very helpful with finding the perfect dress. They have a huge selection and great prices. I got my dress and my bridesmaid dresses early and they are beautiful. I would highly recommend them to all my friends.

    I have nothing but great things to say about House Of Brides Aurora IL. Upon arriving to there store, I was greeted with a warm welcome. My dress consultant asks me what I was looking for, and brought dresses to the dressing room immediately. I tried on about 10 dresses and I knew number 5 was the one. My dress arrived in less than 4 weeks and it was perfect.

    I went to the House of Brides in Aurora to get my dress and my bridesmaid dresses. They had a wonderful selection, even had a few bridesmaid dresses in larger sizes for ALL my girls to try on. I am a full figured woman and I was pleasantly surprised to see the bridal gown selection available for me to try on! I was so happy to try on so different styles and I found one I loved. Everything came in and looked beautiful. I got a really good deal since they honor their online prices. Everyone I worked with there was great and very accomodating. It was a little hard trying to make alteration appointments though since they are only available a few days during the week, but everything came out beautifully. Their customer service in my opinion is OUTSTANDING! They really care about wanting to make your day super special.

    I had been searching for the perfect bridesmaid dresses and i found them and my weddding dress in the house of brides online store , my dresses where absoultly wonderful , everyone commented on the uniqness of my dress and my bridesmaids dresses. everyone also kept asking me if i had my dress custom made to fit. they were very flexible and they were very helpful. highly recommened.

    I found my dress here and I love it! I brought in about half a dozen pictures of dresses I wanted to try on, they had 4 dresses in stock for me to try. The consultant, Diana, also looked at the pictures, and pulled a couple options that she thought would look good on me. As it turns out, the dress the consultant pulled looked the best! Diana wasn't pushy, we told her we were going to get lunch and think about it, and she said that was fine - didn't try to force me to put anything down on the dress or anything. When we came back (after 2 other bridal salon visits), she got the order in correctly (extra length), and I received the dress earlier than expected. Sizing was very accurate, I only needed very minor alterations. I was very happy with my entire experience there.

    I actually was dress shopping with my friend for her wedding when the employee learned of my recent engagement. She wanted to show me some dresses too, and I hadn't even thought about what I wanted. I gave her some descriptions of dress features and she came back with a handful of dresses that fit the description. In that small stack of dresses, I found my perfect dress!! She made it so easy.

    When ordering your dress, tell them your wear date is at least 2 months BEFORE your actual wedding. This will hopefully prevent any delays from causing you grief about not having anything to wear. This was the advice they gave me when ordering my dress. They are great!

    Jo was my sales consultant at the Aurora House of Brides location. She was very patient and accomodating as I made multiple visits (both scheduled and unscheduled) with my nine bridesmaids and mother. She offered helpful suggestions regarding dresses and alteration options for my wide variety of bridesmaids.
    When we finally picked a dress that everyone liked, I tried to get the dress for the same price listed on their website. They gave me the dress for that price but then tacked on an additional percentage for their fee bringing the girls' dresses back up in price. They too also added in alterations ahead of time. All of the girls were also told that they could bring their dresses in for alterations at any House of Brides. One of my bridesmaids then tried to bring her dress to the Orland Park location since it was closer to her home and was denied alterations there.
    All in all, the dresses were beautiful. Alterations made there were done nicely. A little pricier than I would have liked, but material of dress was way better than you would find at David's Bridal.

    My dress was beautiful, and I got some help from the associates that worked there. The service were a little bit pricey, but my dress was definitely worth it.

    Buying the dress was no problem. I was quick to find what I wanted and had good input. The dress fitting wasn't the best. The first woman I worked with was fun and easy to communicate with. Then for my second fitting I had a different woman and she did not understand english very well. It took one more time to get the dress to fit right but it turned out beautifully.

    I got my wedding dress and one of the bridesmaid dresses at House of Brides. The service when purchasing my dress was amazing and the value for the dress fantastic. The follow up service getting the bridemaid's dress was lacking, and although rush delivery was paid for, the bridesmaid dress was only delivered rush delivery after an angry phone call. Our dresses were ordered in a size larger than necessary, in my opinion and the opinion of my seamstress aunt, to force additional alterations.

    I had Tracy for my dress and she was very nice. i was very overwhelmed by the dress process and hate having all the attention on me but, she was very calm and reassuring during the dress picking process and even gave me the sale price for the sale that started the next day. It was a good experience, i actually bought my dress on my first try and i was a stock size!

    on the other hand, they had absolutely nothing for plus size bridesmaids to try on and were very very rude over the phone about that process. I was even asked why i didn't have "normal sized girls"....

    My friends are who they are no mater the size...(i got the same rude reaction from several bridal shops in the naperville/aurora area when calling to ask about available sizes for bridesmaid dresses)

    I went to the one in Aurora/Naperville. I was not too pleased with the service. I did like how you can enter your own information and save it in the computer system in the store. I did get my shoes there and everyone loved them! I did not like how they would not do alterations there unless the dress was purchased there. it woudl have saved some time for me.

    I bought a stunning dress here and the staff were great when I was buying it. Had great difficulty following up with them about delivery timing - 5 unreturned messages and calls. Overall great products - need to do some work on the customer service.

    I needed to find a wedding dress off the rack so I stopped here to look. I found the perfect dress and love it, but I was told it was new and just came in. Upon further inspection when I got home, I found an ink mark, some stretching and tears around the corset area and some areas where the fabric had been snagged. Because I am not a picky bride, I overlooked these because no one was gonna be looking at my dress that closely to notice. But I shouldn't have been told it was new and never tried on when in fact it was. At least I got a discount. The worst is the texts that I keep getting. Do not give them your phone number if you don't have to.

    Was not happy with the sales lady that sold me my dress but I went back for my bridesmaids dresses and had someone different and loed her. When it came to alterations I had some custom work done and when I went for my "final" fitting they where not done so I had to come back a 2nd time, and when its that close to the wedding you really dont have that much time to do things like that.

    I knew I wanted an alfred angelo dream in color dress for my wedding. The only vendor who had those dresses in my area was house of brides, so I went there to look at their dresses. I was helped by an associate from the Glen Ellen store who showed me 2 other dresses and some alfred angelos. She was very helpful and was very attentive. She even ordered for me 3 dresses from the Glen Ellen store and shipped them to aurora for me to try on. However, the other associates at aurora are not very good. We had my usherette come in to try on dresses since we decided to get her a dress from there. Bad idea. Since she did not come with the rest of the group they refused to give her the sale price which costed her an extra $70! Then the salesgirl measured her 2 sizes too small! My cousin even said those measurements didn't look right, and she ignored her! They wound up ordering her another dress for free however, but still! My mom actually had a good experience there though. I think the salesperson's name was Mary and she helped my mom pick out the most beautiful Mother of the Bride dress. She stayed with us to make sure we were doing ok, took dresses we didn't want, and gave us her honest opinon. She was the only one there at that store that did a nice job of helping us. If house of brides didn't have good prices and exactly what I was looking for, I would have gone somewhere else.

    I ordered my dress for the wedding. It was supposed to arrive about 3 weeks before the wedding. I set up an alterations appointment at the time of ordering the dress. I called about 3 weeks before the appt to reschedule. I left a message since I only received their voicemail. It turns out they canceled my appt but never called me back to reschedule. I followed up a week later and they had no clue of where my dress was or any record of me paying for the dress in full. I needed to email them a copy of my receipt. Of course the next day they knew where the dress was. When I went for alterations, they wanted to charge me more than they said it would cost when I bought it. Fortunately it was in the notes so they had to uphold the price they originally quoted me.

    I loved my wedding gown. It was everything I'd been picturing. I tried on a lot of dresses in different styles, because I'd never done this, maybe my imagination didn't know what I'd look good in, but I came back to The One and I found it at House of Brides in Aurora. The service there, not great. The receptionist is typically not friendly and you'll have to wait a bit to get helped. The selection is huge and the prices really vary. I was overwhelmed by all of the dresses and don't even know how I managed to find The One, but I did and I am grateful. My dress was priced very low, under my budget even, which was awesome, because without looking at prices first and having tried on some very costly dresses, mine was hands down my favorite. Back to the actual review of the store: the seamstresses are very, very talented and made great changes to my dress at my request. The dress I tried on was great and it was the perfect framework for creating the dress I really wanted - through alterations, I was extremely pleased. Alterations didn't take too long and I felt they were fairly priced for the amount of work I asked for. It did take me a very long time to be helped into my dress for the fittings though, so long that I eventually left my fitting room holding up my dress to seek out assistance. Also, the times that you can come in for fittings are highly inconvenient. I had to take off of work for this and it made me feel as though, since I had already paid my money, I was no longer of any value to them, so I had to match their schedule. Overall, you'll find great dresses here, if you're willing to do a lot of searching yourself with very little direction and help from the staff. Wouldn't be my first choice in shops, but I am happy to have found the dress of my dreams.

    While my experience at House of Brides in Aurora wasn't terrible, it was very frustrating. The sales consultant when we went to select bridesmaids dresses wasn't very helpful, but we were more or less content to help ourselves, so that wasn't a big deal. What was frustrating was that I never got a call when the dresses came in. I called and was told they hadn't arrived, and when I called a second time they said that the dresses had arrived at the store months before (before my first call), and were just sitting there. Why hadn't the store called me? I also had to call 4 or 5 times because I wanted 2 of the dresses shipped, and they refused to do it unless a manager handled the transaction. I understand if they have their own rules, and understand they didn't want to be liable in case something happened to the dresses in transit, but it was frustrating. Still, the dresses came in good condition, were the right color and sizes ordered, so it was fine in the end.

    Do not order from here! I am now scrambling a month before my wedding to find new bridesmaids dresses. I have 8 bridesmaids and only two have arrived so far. One was purchased over 6 months ago and they still have no status on the dress even though it was supposed to be delivered in early February and it is now almost April. The rest of the girls talked to a representative and were told to put a rush on their dress and were then promised it would ship mid-March. It is now almost April and they still don't have any status on the dresses. This company has basically destroyed my wedding! It's not worth purchasing online to save money, purchase in a store!
