My husband and I chose Hot Mess based on their online samples, and knowing that our venue recommended them highly, but we had not seen them perform prior to our wedding day. We knew that they’d be great, but we were completely blown away by their talent and incredible energy — they truly exceeded all of our expectations.
From the ceremony music, to the encore, they performed perfectly. It’s been almost a month since our wedding, and our guests have not stopped telling us that they’ve never seen a wedding band play at the level Hot Mess does, and that it was the most fun they’ve had on the dance floor!
We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Gail and Jason — their kindness and can-do attitude made us feel understood and so taken care of. It truly was the best investment we made for our day, and we cannot recommend the band enough!! -

It’s May 5th and we got married May 2, and we couldn’t wait another second to write this because Hot Mess absolutely crushed it.
Truly, book them first and plan your entire wedding around their availability. I mean that. If you have to push your date, do it. A longer engagement is 1000% worth it if it means having Hot Mess on your big day.
They were beyond anything we could have imagined. The energy, the talent, the way they read the room, it was unreal. Our dance floor was completely packed all night.
I’m honestly still in shock at how good they were. They didn’t just play music, they made the night. If you’re even considering them, stop thinking and just book them. You will not regret it. And if you don’t believe me, hopefully these photos speak for themselves :) -

Jason and his band really brought the energy to our wedding. They provided a musician for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and MC'd / played the night away. They were flexible and accompanied a family member during a song for the ceremony, they satisfied our Swiftie requirements, and kept the energy going at the wedding all night. We cannot say enough amazing things about Hot Mess, they absolutely blew everyone’s minds! From the first song to the last, the dance floor was packed and the energy never dipped for a second. The vocals were unbelievable, the musicians were insanely talented, and the entire band put on a show that truly felt like a concert with all of our favorite songs. Jason (who also MC'd the night) is so incredibly kind, charismatic, and was a dream to work with. He took the time to understand our vibe and favorite songs and then curated the perfect set lists for us. They even learned two new songs just for our wedding and did an outfit change- this was such a fun surprise for our guests! Our wedding would not have been the same without Hot Mess. Hot Mess is absolutely and positively the most electric band that you could find. Jason and his team know exactly how to bring the party and from the moment they stepped on stage at our October 2025 wedding, our guests went feral. Even months later, our friends and family are still raving that we had the best wedding band that they have ever heard. Most of our guests didn’t leave the dance floor once all night!!
In the weeks leading up to our wedding, Jason and his team were so easy to work with, helping us to curate the perfect sound to match the vibe we were looking for. My husband and I had this dream for a customized first dance song, and Hot Mess blew all of our expectations out of the water and delivered the most unforgettable moment.

Look no further!
Our experience with Hot Mess was incredible! After they played at my sister’s wedding in 2022, we knew that we needed them to play ours when we started booking vendors for our 2025 wedding. They didn’t just live up to our expectations from my sister’s wedding, they exceeded them! Not only did they bring an amazing energy overall to the dance floor, but Jason was incredible to work with through all of the planning steps. Not only was he engaged with learning our preferences for music, but he was also helpful in the logistics for getting mics and speakers in additional rooms for speeches and helping us keep to our wedding timeline. We truly could not have asked for a better experience. Jason is the best and the whole band kept everyone so engaged all night with their incredible energy and obvious passion for what they do. You can absolutely tell that to them, it’s not just another wedding and they pull out the stops to make it the most special day. If you want a band that keeps your guests talking for years to come, look no further! -

I cannot recommend Hot Mess enough! From start to finish they were so professional and they brought the BEST energy to our wedding day! As we were in the beginning stages of looking for a band, Gail was fantastic about providing us with information that helped us feel confident going with Hot Mess for our big day! As the wedding day got closer we started communicating more with Jason. His passion for music helped guide us with song choices. Every song that we told him we really liked, he found the perfect place throughout the day to include it. He was honest throughout the conversations about what songs might be better for dinner and what might be better for dancing. He was absolutely right too! The whole team was so professional from their arrival being on time and problem free to their outfits that perfectly coordinated with the theme of my wedding. Jason knows exactly how to command a room and keep the night flowing. His introductions got the crowd hyped up and that energy continued throughout the whole night. I missed some of our late night snacks because my husband and I never left the dance floor! We LOVE Hot Mess and I would tell anyone getting married and looking for a band to book them right away!! You will be in the best hands and they will make you feel at ease throughout the whole process! -

Sensational Full Service band and sound tech--deserving of "Best" awards
Still smiling. My daughter's wedding was 10/20/25 and I was tasked with coordinating the Boston wedding for the busy California couple. Jason of Hot Mess and his team made the planning process seamless and provided the show of a lifetime on wedding day. Everyone was dancing and laughing. My shy daughter took over the microphone to sing the special song that the band learned especially for the couple. They provided a sound tech and everyone in the large State Room venue and could hear the ceremony and toasts. They provided horn players to help transition the group from upstairs cocktails to the downstairs reception, and they found a bagpiper to parade the group through the streets of Boston to the afterparty. All of this planned and executed in a pleasant, professional manner. The BEST! -

Hot Mess played at our wedding on Cape Cod in September 2025, and they were absolutely phenomenal! From learning a special, unique rendition of our processional song to keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed all night, they truly went above and beyond.
Working with Gail for booking was a breeze—she’s incredibly responsive, helpful, and kind. And Jason? Pure joy. His positivity and energy made every interaction a delight, and he brought that same vibe to our big day. Our planning meeting with them was seamless and left us even more excited for the wedding.
The night of, we had unexpectedly high winds and had to cancel our after-party. Without missing a beat, Hot Mess offered to extend their set and it turned out to be a highlight of the night. Our guests loved them. This was actually the fourth wedding we’ve attended where they played, and after every single one, we heard the same thing: “That band was incredible!”
We truly had the night of our lives, and it wouldn’t have been the same without Hot Mess. Can’t recommend them enough—10/10! -

Gayle and Jason were an absolute joy to work with from our very first meeting. Despite knowing they have a very busy calendar, they made us feel like they were their only client - sincerely and authentically invested in our event and our story as a couple.
The wedding itself... don't really have the words to properly encapsulate how INCREDIBLE they were!!! The dance floor was packed and the energy was HIGH from start to finish. Their talent, charisma, and ability to read the room and the vibe made it truly exceptional.

Hot Mess is the best wedding bang I have ever seen. We hired them for our wedding and they were absolutely incredible - Jason and his team brought incredible energy to the entire night, and the dance floor was packed the entire time. Our guests have been raving about how good the band was ("I never dance at weddings, but that band was so good I never left the dance floor once!"), and it was truly just the most fun night ever. I cannot recommend them enough, they were well worth every penny. If I could only choose 1 thing to do again for my wedding it would be hiring Hot Mess. -

Hot Mess was everything we could’ve hoped for and more for our wedding! From start to finish, they brought nonstop energy, incredible talent, and they kept the party going all night long. We could not believe how rocking the band floor was! Nobody wanted the night to end! We had seen Hot Mess before at another friend's wedding and they were the very first vendor we booked when we started planning.
The absolute best part of the night was their Boston music medley — it was a total crowd-pleaser and had everyone screaming the lyrics and dancing like crazy. Even the New York out of towners couldn't say no to singing along! So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding band they’ve ever seen, and we couldn’t agree more. Jason also DJ'd our after party and it was a seamless transition and another round of a rocking dance floor up until the very last song!
Hot Mess truly made our wedding unforgettable, and we’re beyond grateful for the memories they helped create. I seriously cannot recommend them enough! If you want the dance floor to be the highlight of your wedding reception, look no further! -

Hot Mess Band was one decision that came easy to us for our day. We had seen them perform, saw them get the crowd going, how amazing their vocals were, and we just knew. But wow, we didn't realize how EPIC of a night that decision would bring. Our guests were on the dance floor from the second Hot Mess started until they were wrapped. Jason and his team brought all the energy, all the fun and passion for their craft. The music was perfection, the selections were fantastic. But even more so, Jason listened to our wants and customized our first dance song just for us, so that it wasn't too fast and was just right for our comfort. He found a song by "John Doe" for my father daughter dance that meant so much. He really cared about our day, the success of our day and how much fun we were having throughout. And the topper? Jason performed both with my now husband and also my bridesmaid bestie - it was a BLAST. If you want to have the best day of your life, then you NEED to book Hot Mess.
They came highly recommended from our planner, so we decided to book them unseen/unheard and we are so glad we did. They were so nice and helpful the entire process. Closer to our date, Jason reached out to us personally and went over every little detail. They were able to sing all of our special songs (even learned our first dance!) and provided a keyboard player for our ceremony and a guitarist for our cocktail hour. They played throughout dinner and so many people got up to dance. But the best part of all was the dance party that ensued once all the formalities were over..IT WAS EPIC. They are so good that if they went on tour they’d be playing sold out shows everywhere - I’m not exaggerating. Every song was better than the original version, the ENERGY and the way they interacted with the crowd was incredible. Everyone from ages 3-88 were up dancing and singing ALL NIGHT LONG. I couldn’t believe when the last song came on that it was over..but then they did an encore! It was amazing and I will forever be grateful for them being a part of our day. -

Best wedding band ever!
If you're looking for THE best band for your wedding, Hot Mess is truly the one and only choice!! Every single person at our reception absolutely LOVED the band - and still talk about it to this day! From Jason’s work as MC to the dinner entertainment and set-lists for dancing, everything with this group is top notch. When planning our wedding, we knew from the very start we’d need Hot Mess at our reception. We had previously seen them perform at two cousin weddings (so you could say it’s a family tradition). Jason even remembered my MIL (Aunt Denise!) and coordinated to have her play the drums for a couple of songs! Truly some of the best in the business, wonderful people to work with, and overall high quality work!! -

If you want a wedding band that makes you feel excited, special, and focuses on making sure you are having the best time on your wedding day, book Hot Mess! We knew Hot Mess because they played at my brother’s wedding 7 years ago. The minute we scheduled our wedding date, we confirmed them for our wedding because for 7 years all our friends and family still could not stop talking about how incredible Hot Mess was! Best Night Ever!
If you’re considering another band…what are you doing?! Hot Mess is the ONLY choice to make sure you have the best night of your life. My husband and I saw the band play 5 years ago at an event, and I knew when the time came this had to be our wedding band. Coming from someone with exceedingly high expectations, Jason and team blew us away with their professionalism, talent, and CONTENT! We had no idea we’d also be walking away with high quality photos from the night. Jason listened to everything we asked for and meticulously went through run of show prior to the wedding night. I felt like I was greeting an old friend when walking into our venue. As someone who has so much anxiety over the details, I was completely at ease and had 100% confidence with the whole band before even stepping out onto the dance floor. All of our guests were truly blown away by how incredible Hot Mess was, and guests are continuing to reach out that it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. They knew exactly what vibes to bring when and truly just brought the house down. We walked away feeling like family, and I can’t wait until the next time we see them perform. Best Wedding Band Ever
Wow! It’s hard to put into words how amazing Hot Mess is. We booked Hot Mess for our wedding at the end of July and while we had confidence that they were going to be incredible, they exceeded ALL of our expectations. They made the night! Our guests were on the dance floor the entire night, including before dinner. Jason and everyone in the band are so incredibly talented. From Jason’s attention to detail and passion for music, to creating a fun and memorable experience for us and our wedding guests, we couldn’t have asked for more! Our guests haven't stopped talking about how much fun they had dancing and singing all night. I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Hotmess!! Choosing this wedding band was the best decision we made about our wedding and was the main reason we were so so happy with our day! We were blown away with the communication before the wedding and how professional the experience was throughout. Days before our wedding the band leader Jason scheduled a phone call with us to talk out the plan for the wedding and gave suggestions for the order of the events. We felt at ease after our call and felt like we were in such great hands! Not only were they so talented and had everyone on the dance floor but Jason is a wonderful MC that made the night flow so great and get the crowd excited for the speeches, dances and keeping the party going all night! We were also very lucky to get connected with the band coordinator Gail Sparke early on in the wedding planning process. We hired her for wedding coordinator services and she went above and beyond supporting us with the whole wedding planning process from all the decor and ceremony planning and all the little details that made the wedding go off with out a hitch! We would highly recommend her services and I feel like her working with the band brought all the planning together!! We have gotten so many compliments on the Hotmess Band performance! Our guests were just blown away by the whole experience! My family and I are figuring out what other events we can plan so we can hire Hotmess again and will be recommending them any chance I get. We were fortunate enough to have the pleasure of witnessing Hot Mess at two weddings prior to ours. Once we started planning our wedding our first priority was to secure Hot Mess for music and entertainment, without considering any other options. Throughout the planning process Jason and Co were detailed and easy to work with. When our wedding week came, there was no one more hype than Jason and that carried through to our wedding day. Our goal for Jason was to keep a high energy vibe all night and he and the rest of the band got it done. At times it felt like the dance floor wasn’t big enough, a true sign of a good time. Just over 6 weeks from our wedding and our friends and family are still raving about the one and only, HOT MESS BAND. We couldn’t be more thankful for the friendship we’ve formed with Jason and we feel so incredibly lucky to have had the whole band (steel pan trio and all) to throw a knock out party for our big day. -

Hot Mess is truly the BEST wedding band and my husband and I cannot recommend them enough! We hired Hot Mess for our fall wedding and our guests are still raving about how phenomenal the music was several months later! The band manager, Gail, was our point person leading up to the wedding and was a delight to work with. She is so kind, responsive, and super helpful with the entire planning process. A few weeks before the big day with spoke with Jason to review our song choices, timeline, intro’s, etc. We knew the moment we starting chatting with him that we were going to be in for one AMAZING wedding night! Jason’s energy and enthusiam is truly second to none. One thing that was super important to us was our first dance that was choreographed to Dancing in the Moonlight and the Hot Mess band absolutely crushed it - even our dance instructor was so impressed at how Hot Mess was able to replicate the exact tempo of the song.

Where do we even begin? Jason and his Hot Mess team made our New Year’s Eve wedding an absolute dream come true!! They are the BEST band ever and we would recommend them to anyone and everyone. We have had guests from our wedding asking for their information so they can keep them in mind for their future events.
From the very beginning, Gail was so responsive, professional and so helpful when we were looking into possibly working with the band. Jason was also extremely easy to work with and he was AMAZING on the night of the wedding. The music, entertainment, MC services, were all TOP NOTCH and made our entire wedding night complete. We have had guests tell us repeatedly that it was the best wedding they have ever been to and we have Hot Mess to thank for that!!

Hot Mess ABSOLUTELY crushed it at our wedding! We’ve been married since Sept and we STILL have people tell us how amazing they were. Our guests, young & older generations (much to our surprise) danced all night! They left me with memories I will treasure forever, ones I know would not have been made without Hot Mess. Jason and his amazingly talented group of singers & musicians blew us away. They played a custom Taylor Swift / Cannon in D mashup while I walked down the aisle that set the stage for our evening & garden inspired theme and then kept the evening going with amazing energy all night long during the reception. Jason, Gail, and the entire Hot Mess team was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. They were super accommodating, kind, helpful, and they had endless patience when working with a very distracted bride. :) During the wedding itself, they had all 130 people on the dance floor from start to finish, and everyone had an incredible time. They truly went above and beyond to make our day extra special, such as learning a song in Portuguese and changing into pink outfits halfway through the night. It has been almost 6 months since our wedding, and our guests still can't stop talking about our amazing wedding band! I truly can't recommend Hot Mess enough; they are the whole package and so so much more!! THANK YOU to Hot Mess for making our wedding day the absolute best. -

Hot Mess exceeded our expectations without a doubt!! From the moment we got in touch with Gail to answer questions, chatted with Jason to go over the timeline, to meeting the whole band in person, every step of the process was great. Jason is AWESOME and makes you feel so comfortbale, he has so much energy and really made us feel special on our day. Everyone at my wedding couldnt stop raving about the band; like their outfits, voices, professionalism, engergy, ability to read the room, dances, talent, ect!
Something I wanted to mention was that I wanted to incorporate some traditional Greek music into the night and Jason worked with me on how we could do that. He was patient and flexible on everything! We worked on a timeline that was just right for me and my husband. I really appreciated that!
I have been to many weddings with a band but would recommend and choose Hot Mess everytime! -

Hot Mess provided everything we were hoping for and more, and played an essential role in making our dream wedding a reality. Jason’s positive, engaging attitude as the MC was infectious - even drawing my famously shy mother out onto the floor with Shout! - and the band honored all of our requests, delivering a wonderfully diverse setlist. They even went above and beyond by helping execute a musical joke during our fathers’ joint speech. First of all, before you even GET to the party, Hot Mess is an absolute dream to work with. Gail was our point person until we were introduced to Jason, and let me just say, Gail is an absolute delight. Her professionalism, positive energy, and all around fun loving attitude shines through in literally every email she writes and makes this process FUN. She is the type of person who when you receive an email from her, you know she's got this, she's got you, and everything is under control. You don't have to worry about a thing. As for Jason the band leader, you will be hard pressed to come across a more authentic, genuine, energetic, warm, fun individual who so genuinely wants your day to be the absolute best day it possibly can be. He must work with so many couples, but he made my husband and me feel like the only couple and only wedding in the world. We first spoke with Jason a few weeks out of our wedding, and the attention to detail, openness to any ideas we had, and overall enthusiasm was such a breath of fresh air after the stress of wedding planning. He is a consummate professional and all around great guy. Getting off the phone with him, my husband and I just looked at each other and said, wow, this is gonna be an AMAZING night.
AS FOR THE BAND! Holy cow. They are FANTASTIC. From start to finish the energy was off the charts, the song choices were spot on, and everyone was on the dance floor from start to finish. Guests were raving about them, we were raving about them, it is not an exaggeration to say they made the night. It was such a special experience, and hiring Hot Mess was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

Amazing, Top Notch, Explosive! Lead singer/MC Jason was so easy to work with and extremely professional. He is so energetic and kept our wedding guest's dancing all night long! He chose the perfect sets to play the entire duration of our wedding reception whether it was during dinner time or after when the party really started. During the planning phase he paid attention to detail and all my requests. All our guests raved about how great they were and the sound level was just perfect. Jason and his band Hotmess are extremely talented! All of the musicians are superb! Love, love the saxophone and trombonist! Hotmess truley made our wedding reception come alive! Hot Mess absolutely blew my bride and I out of the water with their incredible talent, vocals, and instruments. Jason’s energy as MC is unmatched as he can manage to get every single table on the dance floor. Booking Hot Mess was the absolute best decision we made for our wedding! My family is a “band” family, and it took a little convincing for my husband that we were booking a band. Safe to say that after the wedding, he now agrees, “we are indeed a band family.”
From initial booking, both Gail and Jason were amazing to work with. We went back and forth with the timeline of speeches and dances, and everything was perfect.
What impressed me most about this band was their professionalism and ability to adapt to the situation. When the wedding timeline was running behind schedule, Jason came to us with a few suggestions on how to get back on track and the band was able to seamlessly adjust their setlist and get the party going without missing a beat. Their attention to detail and willingness to work with us to ensure everyone had the best night possible was truly exceptional. From the moment they started playing, they had everyone on the dance floor and kept us all there all night long. Their energy and enthusiasm were infectious, and they truly made the night unforgettable. Jason’s rendition of Shout was definitely the highlight of the night, and we were all shocked he still had a voice by the end of the night!

Jason and the Hot Mess squad completed our wedding day. Since our wedding in November, countless guests have complimented our wedding and each one asked how we found such an amazing and fun-loving band. Hot Mess brought the energy for our wedding on 11/05/22. The process was seamless from booking to the day of and they were flexible for some last minute additions / song requests. We had only a few tables left to greet and they were flexible to allow us to do those greetings and delay the parent dances 5 minutes. I danced literally all night, my little niece/nephews quote "had the best day ever" and every guest from young to old commented on how amazing they were. They were interactive with our guests on the dance floor and were the best decision we could have made for our wedding. -

Hot mess rocks! Best band ever!
If you want a wedding that everyone will talk about for years to come, hire Hot Mess! They were absolutely incredible. They were attentive to all our requests, kept to schedule, and most importantly, got the party going! We had 230 guests ages 21 to 75. Everyone was dancing and singing along, literally all night long. Everyone we talked to (who still had their voices after) said it was the best band they have ever seen at a wedding and have never seen so many people on the dance floor. They rocked!!! If you don't go with Hot Mess you're doing it wrong. Recommend x1000! -

Best band EVER
Is there a way to give 20+ stars?! Words will never be able to describe my appreciation for Hotmess. Our wedding would not have been the same without them! They truly ROCKED it. We had a full dance floor start to finish. Two months later and we still have guests reaching out raving about the band. Jason is an extraordinary emcee who knows how to capture a crowd like no other. I wish I could relive our wedding day over and over again. Watching all of our friends and family dancing and smiling together was one of the best feelings and without Hotmess that feeling wouldn’t have been felt. They also assisted with the ceremony and cocktail hour. I’ll forever recommend Hotmess to anyone and everyone. I could go on and on about my love for them! -

Best band ever!
We had the amazing privilege of having Hot Mess perform at our wedding this past weekend. From our very first phone call, Jason and his team were professional, incredibly accommodating and organized, and most of all, made sure our guests had the absolute best time the day/night of the event.
Hot Mess has a HUGE variety of songs from every genre and era of music, and they did a great job of keeping the energy up and building the momentum throughout the night. We also LOVED how Jason immersed himself on the dance floor and made our guests feel like they were a part of the show. There wasn't a dull moment the entire night, and we all had raspy voices the following day from singing our hearts out.
We truly cannot recommend Hot Mess enough- they went above and beyond to make it a night we (and our friends and family) will remember forever!!! -

Best Wedding Band I've Ever Seen
Hot Mess was probably one of the best bands I've seen in quite some time. They arrived hours early to make sure lighting and sound was perfect, talk to you before (even leading up to the date) to make sure everything is what you wanted it to be, and they're range across genres was unbelievable. Jason makes sure everyone is having a great time and interacts with the crowd to make the show an awesome experience. Could not recommend a better band for any style of event. -

The. Best. Band. Ever!!
I’m not sure where to begin with my review of Hot Mess Boston. Hot Mess performed at our wedding on December 4th, 2021 at Lake of Isles. Jason, Gail, and the entire Hot Mess team were nothing short of spectacular throughout our entire wedding planning process.
The week of the wedding Jason took the time to have a phone call with us to go through the timeline for the entire night, including walking through the names of everyone in our wedding party to get the correct pronunciation and confirm the songs we wanted. Additionally, the band learned our first dance song as well as both parents dance songs and played them live for us at the wedding. We could tell on the phone call that Jason and the rest of the band truly and genuinely cared about our special day and wanted our friends and family to have the best time.
Fast forward to the wedding night and the band was absolutely incredible. From the solo acoustic during the cocktail hour, the Christmas music set at dinner, to rocking the dance floor all night. The Hot Mess Team was truly an integral part in making the evening so special, and not only was their performance the best ever, but their level of professionalism is the best. All of our friends and family with future weddings were walking around with Hot Mess business cards at the end of the night reiterating they were going to book them in the future, as they were the beat band they had ever seen. The Hot Mess band feels like family at this point, as they also played at my sister’s wedding in 2018. They truly want to make the day the most special for the bride and groom and will cater to just about any requests you my have.
