    Incredible experience

    Hiring a wedding planner was absolutely the best decision we made planning our wedding and we won the lottery having Holly as our planner. She puts so much thought, care, and effort into her work with couples and she's incredible at what she does. We planned a destination wedding in San Diego in the midst of a cross country move and Holly was incredible at coordinating with us despite time zone changes and just overall being understandable and flexible. She was able to coordinate everything with vendors which really took a lot off our plates. Most importantly, she was able to make our vision come to life that exceeded all of our expectations! We truly cannot thank Holly enough for helping us plan the most amazing day!

    Dependable and easy to work with wedding coordinator

    I planned my sister’s wedding and needed a day-of wedding coordinator. I was so thankful to have found Holly Kalkin--she was amazing! She stepped in and made sure every detail was handled so the bride and groom could focus on enjoying their wedding. She kept the timeline on track and everything ran seamlessly. Her professionalism, organization, and calm demeanor made the whole day feel effortless.     In Your Corner

    We are so so grateful for Holly and Juliette and all of their help at our wedding! From the first conversation, I felt so confident in Holly and her team. We had so many kids, moving parts and family members who did not pay any attention to the schedules and they wrangled everyone and kept us moving.  They made everything flow smoothly and I didn’t think about anything the day of the wedding. Without them I would not have been able to be present and enjoy the day. On top of that they were SOO kind and personable and just so easy to work with. You absolutely want them in your corner on your wedding day!!

    Everything I needed!

    Holly absolutely made our wedding! She is warm, calm and so good at what she does! We did a hybrid month/day of package and Holly was always available and very communicative leading up to our wedding. The weekend of, she was an angel, dealing with all the questions and details that I found overwhelming. We used Holly's company to get all our printed materials for the weekend and Kimmy was so great to work with. She helped me design welcome signs, schedules and the seating chart. Holly provided all the frames and stands we needed- not having to add that to my to do list was so nice. She also provided a colleague to help with our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks and this was a game changer. Keely was fantastic and I feel like because of her, I was able to enjoy every minute of the night before our wedding. For our wedding itself, Holly listened to every request I made and truly brought it all to life. I did not feel like I needed to manage a single thing and could truly be present to enjoy our big day. I cannot recommend Holly and her company enough!

    Kind, Genuine and Knows Her Stuff!

    Holly was an absolute joy to work with and she executed the most perfect day for us at the Lafayette Hotel. We hired her for week of coordination and she was incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions we had leading up to that week - even hopping on last minute calls to talk through things. I was pretty type A with my planning prior to hiring Holly, but I never once felt nervous handing everything over to her. She was very professional, knowledgeable, kind, easy to talk to, knows how to run the show, and could pivot and problem solve. Put us right at ease and let us enjoy the best day of our lives. There's also just something to say about working with good, genuine people and Holly is that. Don't think twice about hiring her and her team!!

    Holly is Amazing!!

    We can't express enough how lucky we were to have Holly as our coordinator for our wedding. Our day would not have ran as smoothly as it did without her. From directing rehearsal, to advise on how to get wrinkles out of my veil, to taking care of decor, and bustling my dress, her expertise is truly unmatched. She was available our entire wedding week and was with us from the start of the day to the end and she took care of everything under the Sun so we wouldn't have to stress about it. She and her team went as far as making trips to our hotel room to pick stuff up so we wouldn't have to, made sure we got to try food during cocktail hour, and helped everyone stay on track with the day's timeline. She was also familiar with our venue and other vendors so we felt so lucky to have had such an amazing team to make our day so special.

    We appreciate Holly so much and highly recommend her services to anyone getting married in the San Diego area!

    Holly and her team are the best!

    As a makeup artist if 17 years, I want to say to all the brides book Holly! We have worked so many weddings together over the years and her clients always sing her praises, my timeline is super clear and detailed and everything is so caring and personal. Her kindness and professionalism are so evident to everyone who has the pleasure of working with her. Look no further if you want to be well taken care of on your wedding day!

    Best Decision Ever!

    Holly is somewhat of a Mary Poppins, a fairy godmother, a miracle worker… overall a godsend. We live in Washington and wanted to get married in our hometown of San Diego; so we decided to hire someone to ease the stress of planning an out-of-state wedding. We went with Holly after doing some research online. Our initial zoom meeting was great, she listened to all of our ideas, broke down the planning process for us, and helped us set a realistic budget. She sent us a detailed list of venues that met our wants and needs for us to consider. She included a budget breakdown for each venue option with really helped us when it came to picking venues to tour. Holly’s organization through the entire process was my favorite part, she provided preferred vendors with their social media accounts for us to explore which made choosing vendors so much easier. Her communication was fantastic, answering all of my questions and concerns; truly taking the stress away from everything. Come wedding day, Holly was our angel! My wedding dress ripped and I went into full panic mode, Holly’s calm presence helped me calm down as she sewed my dress. The day flowed so peacefully, we loved how attentive she was to all the details and how she checked on us constantly. She helped bustle my dress, change my shoes, and brought us much needed drinks while we waited for our grand entrance. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more, it was the best day ever! We couldn’t have done it without Holly, she was the best decision we made!

    Unparalleled experience, professionalism, and service

    Holly and her team were amazing to work with! My husband and I are SO happy that we chose HKW to plan and coordinate our wedding day at Kona Kai. Before the wedding, Holly was helpful with providing tools, checklists, and resources for us to use to help with the planning process. She was available to answer questions and give suggestions leading up to the wedding. Once the wedding day got closer, we had an in-depth meeting and she created a detailed timeline for the wedding day. Her attention to detail is strong and she is clearly so experienced and knows everything you need to think of for your wedding. Holly has great relationships with all of the wedding vendors in San Diego so all of our other vendors (DJ, florist, photographer, venue, etc.) knew her and were happy to communicate and coordinate with her prior to the wedding. On the day of the wedding, everything went according to plan and I truly felt like I could relax and enjoy the day without worrying about coordinating all the details. As a bride, that calmness and peace of mind is something I'm so grateful for. Robin and Holly were both so attentive, making sure things were going smoothly. Anyone getting married in the San Diego area would be lucky to work with Holly and her team, as they truly bring an unparalleled level of experience, professionalism, and service to your wedding!

    Beyond Grateful for Holly!

    We found Holly through the recommended vendor list from our venue (Kona Kai). The venue required at least a day-of coordinator, we wanted someone who has worked with our venue before, and I also wanted to explore getting a little bit more help than just day-of support. After doing initial inquiry calls with her and a couple other planners/coordinators, my choice was super easy to make. It was like a goldilocks moment, some planners too easy going and some too aggressive in their style, Holly was JUST RIGHT! I could tell from the beginning that she’d listen to us and what we wanted but also give suggestions or alternative ideas to help everything come together perfectly. After discussing the various offerings she provides, we went with a partial-planning package to get the extra support we were looking for. She did such an amazing job helping us narrow down all the vendors we needed and after each suggestion I trusted her more and more. She helped us find a DJ, florist, hair and makeup, lighting/drapery, etc. There are SO many wedding vendors out there, so having her trusted suggestions and that she knew would match our style, personality, and were available on our date was SO helpful and made going from day-of coordinator to partial planning SO worth it. She was always easy to communicate with, responding in a timely fashion and answering all of my questions. Her checklists and support resources kept me feeling confident that I was on track. She also has a graphic design team that helped us create all of our signage which was a huge help!!
    When it came to the rehearsal and day-of coordination, Holly was phenomenal and I got positive feedback from our parents, bridal party, and everyone who was a key part of the day. She managed to wrangle our fun-loving (and sometimes not so good at listening) bridal party to practice the ceremony enough times that we all felt great about it but it wasn’t too much and didn’t take too long. She knew exactly how to prompt us all through it. The day-of the wedding, I had NO stress (and this is saying a lot as I am a chronically stressed person by nature) because I was so confident that Holly and her team and our amazing vendor team that she helped us to curate was going to make everything perfect and it was! Everything was set up beautifully and she was quick to respond and manage any last-minute details or concerns.
    I would highly recommend hiring Holly for partial planning if you’re anything like me – have a vision but not sure how to execute it, want some help but mainly want to eliminate stress from planning, COULD do it yourself but don’t WANT to do it all yourself, and if you want to have an amazing wedding where you can TRULY ENJOY the entire day because you know it is taken care of.

    Holly was wonderful!

    Holly was incredible! She was so organized and made sure our entire wedding ran smoothly. As a bride I knew everything was handled and I could just focus on enjoying the day. She was great with details, communicated well with us and our vendors and we were so happy with how the day went. I would definitely recommend her for any couple planning a wedding in San Diego!

    The Absolute Best Coordinator Out There!

    Holly is an exceptional wedding coordinator, and we couldn’t be happier with her service. From the very beginning, she was incredibly communicative, constantly checking in on us and asking if we had any questions or needed assistance. Her proactive approach and frequent updates made us feel supported and confident throughout the entire planning process.

    Holly provided us with a wealth of helpful documents that covered everything we needed to be aware of, from timelines to vendor recommendations. These resources were invaluable in keeping us organized and on track, ensuring that no detail was overlooked.

    On the day of the wedding, we encountered an unexpected delay with the food. Holly's quick thinking and resourcefulness saved the day. She immediately came up with an alternate plan, seamlessly handling the situation so that none of our guests even noticed there was an issue.     Simply Amazing

    Holly was an amazing planner and coordinator. My husband and I both hate planning and Holly handled us like a complete champ. She was super patient, flexible, understanding, and knowledgeable. She definitely kept us on track and was really down to earth. She was just what we needed--she was incredibly organized, offered a lot of ideas and suggestions (because in addition to hating planning, we are also ridiculously indecisive), coordinated everything with the vendors, and made sure we were submitting all the paperwork/payments we needed to complete.

    She completely guided us every step of the way and had great recommendations. We also got several discounts with vendors by booking through her. We're so glad we went with a planner and that she was able to coordinate everything on the day-of as well. Please giver her a call or shoot her an e-mail, you won't regret it!!

    The best wedding decision we made!

    Tl;dr - hire Holly as your wedding planner!!! She was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. We did her full planning package, so she was with us from literally day 1 starting with helping us pick our venue. Having Holly really meant we could sit back and just let her guide us throughout the entire planning process — she told us when we needed to make what decision, and had amazing recommendations for each vendor. When it came to our wedding day, we truly felt no stress thanks to Holly and her team. They had everything handled perfectly — our families were so impressed too! You can tell she’s done this a million times in the best way, but at the same time she makes everything a perfect fit for your specific wedding. And to top it all off, you use all the decor she already has on hand. Like I mentioned — if you’re thinking about it, hire Holly!! I can’t recommend her enough!

    Wonderful Coordinator

    Holly was amazing and very helpful. She reviewed all our vendor contracts, answered all of our questions in a timely manner, and connected with vendors when we were not able to do so. Holly was very thorough with the major and minor details and was able to provide miscellaneous items for our wedding that we would not have thought to bring. Her assistant, Kimmy, was on top of place cards, guest lists, seating chart, etc. and both Holly and Kimmy helped our wedding day run smoothly. We would highly recommend Holly to help coordinate the wedding of your dreams.

    Worth the investment

    We found Holly Kalkin’s company through our venue’s recommendation, we worked with Barb in the Phoenix area and she was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and timely. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding coordinator!

    An integral part of our day

    We booked Holly as our week of coordinator for our December wedding because our venue required it, and thank goodness they did and we found her!! She was an integral part of our day. I am such a planner & have a hard time letting go of things, but Holly had this calm but get things done demeanor that gave me all the confidence in her. As things were changing last min (as they do with weddings!) she was there fixing. The things I didn’t think to do until minutes before were already done. She also had great advice, a great eye for putting things together, and was just beyond organized. We even got comments from my parents and our bridal party about how helpful and on top of everything she was. I am so, so pleased we booked Holly and would make that decision 100x over!

    Really brought our day together

    We worked with Holly and Stephanie and both were so lovey and accommodating. Holly was out initial point of contact. She was very helpful and considerate; for example she had a Mary Poppins bag of wedding supplies she let us borrow on the day of.

    Stephanie was our month/day of coordinator. She had great communication and made sure everyone knew what they needed to know. Day of was seemless. She was professional, always on the ball, and a very sweet person. There was no problem she didn't have a solution for.

    Rebecca at HKW was amazing!

    We had the pleasure of working with Rebecca from Holly Kalkin Weddings as our wedding coordinator. We hired her for the Wedding Management Coordination Package, and we would highly recommend Rebecca and Holly. Rebecca was there with us every step of the way, and we frequently reached out to her to review vendor contracts or advice during the months before our wedding.     Highly Recommend - Fabulous Wedding Planner!

    We were working with another wedding coordinator but we didn’t feel like being taken care of so we decided to work with Holly instead. It was the best decision ever made. We worked with her and could not recommend her more!

    Holly was amazing, helpful, and supportive throughout this process, and she really held us together despite all of our stress! She was extremely detail-oriented and we could really depend on her to make sure everything was set and done. We had the best day and really owed so much of that to Holly. She took care of everything on our day so that our families and we could relax and enjoy ourselves. Could not have chosen a better wedding planner!

    Amazing Wedding Coordinator!!!

    My wife and I worked with Holly as our month of coordinator for our wedding in Oct 2021. From the communication to the detailed schedule management, the wedding decorations on the day of, and so much more, Holly was able to manage our expectations as my wife and I did not know a lot of things going into the wedding. Holly also knew the venue we booked (Bali Hai) so she was able to help us answer our questions and guide us on how the wedding ceremony would be like all the way to the end of the night where she helped with cleanup. Holly painted a very clear picture for us! And during the rehearsal the day before the wedding, with her walking us through the process and going over every little detail with us, our bridal party and parents, and our officiant, she helped ease our nerves for the day of!

    Holly was incredibly professional throughout the entire process, she was very open to all of our crazy ideas we wanted to put into the wedding and helped execute them to such a higher standard than what we were expecting.

    You will NOT regret booking Holly as your wedding coordinator! Holly even has her own inventory of wedding decorations that can really save you lots of headaches, time, and some dollars! All of her decorations really brightened the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception for our guests, every little detail added up and we're so thankful to her for and her assistant Rebecca for helping set up everything!

    On our wedding day, as most couples are I am sure, we were crazy busy with preparations, makeup, photos, and more so having Holly and her wonderful assistant Rebecca there to set up the venue and organize all of our various vendor communications, put out our wedding favors, set the decorations, and prepare our ceremony (sand and tea) requirements was an absolute delight and really saved us so much stress and time.

    Holly and her team member Kimmy were even able to help us print our seating charts and wedding programs that they helped us design to match our wedding colors which turned out as beautiful as the rest of the amazing decorations!

    Holly was amazing while planning from Canada during COVID!

    Holly was the comforting, caring, and responsive partner that we needed while planning our wedding from Canada during COVID-19. Upon engaging with Holly, we never could have foreseen being unable to visit our venue until weeks before the wedding. She remained calm, cool, and collected and truly made us feel as though the wedding of our dreams was still possible - and it was! It went off beautifully; through all the changes and challenges. We also loved each of the vendors that Holly recommended, and it was very helpful that they had worked together previously. I would absolutely recommend Holly to plan weddings for any of my girlfriends or loved ones.

    Best wedding planner!

    I am so unbelievably happy we went with Holly Kalkin Wedddings to plan our wedding. We worked with Barb and she made what would’ve been a stressful process, an absolutely joy.     Amazing Experience! Absolutely Recommend!

    At first we were hesitant on whether we would need a day of Coordinator. Looking back, hiring Barb and the Holly Kalkin team was the best wedding decision we made!

    Barb and her team were wonderful to work with from the start of our experience with them. Barb helped us make our Covid friendly backyard wedding a reality. We used Holly Kalkin’s day of coordinator service and it was worth every penny! Barb took the time to go through every step on our initial phone call even before she was hired. Her attention to detail, punctuality, ora of calm and her generosity with her time for our questions made her stand out above all the rest!

    Even though we only used Holly Kalkin Weddings for the day of, Barb directed us to amazing vendors, answered all our questions throughout the process, coordinated with vendors and created a detailed itinerary that she communicated with the team. Barb even met with us at the home ahead of time to run through the plan for the set up, decor and layout.

    On the day of, our wedding reception would not have been as wonderful without Barb and her team. All communication with vendors went through her, she set up and took down all our decorations and helped us transition smoothly throughout the evening. Barb even helped make sure tips got where they needed to go when family members handed her the cash! The day was even better than we had imagined and we know Barb was a major part in making that possible. We are so thankful and blessed to have found Barb!     Holly made our lives so much easier!

    We booked Holly as our month-of coordinator for our wedding in mid-March. She was a superstar! We planned our San Diego wedding from our home in Australia, and Holly was kept us super organized leading up to the day, which took a lot of stress off of us.     Best Coordinators in the Business - Hands down!

    Holly was a blessing that came from an excellent referral from our DJ! We were very late to the coordinating game, but Holly jumped right on everything and took care of us. We were so nerve-wracked about planning a wedding from afar and getting all of the details right. Our venue’s director was let go the day that I flew in to do our walk-thru and Holly didn’t skip a beat and handled all the details anyway! She was so sweet and listened to all my wants and ideas and calmed all my worries away. She made sure I knew what I should ask for and gave me so many pro-tips I never would have thought of on my own and didn’t read anywhere online. Even though she was not going to be the one coordinating our wedding on the day-of, I was 1000% confident in her professionalism and care and trusted who she trusted. I'm also soo glad we went with their rental package, all of the little details and signs she provided went a loooong way. I had no idea how much I would have had to spend to get all of those little cute details another route!

    Kriselle coordinated our wedding and was so amazing in so many ways. She wasted zero minutes and got everything done, pulled me away minimally and executed all of the décor flawlessly.     My highest recommendation!

    We used Holly Kalkin Weddings for our day of coordinator, and Rebecca Podmenik was our specific coordinator for the day. We worked with Holly throughout most of the process, and then with Rebecca for the big day. We can not say enough positive things about working with both Holly and Rebecca! They are both incredible! Holly provided very detailed and helpful checklists and referrals, and was always available to help with any questions I had during the process. She has such a warm and positive personality, and is an absolute joy to work with! Rebecca was a super-star for the day of coordination. SO many of my family members and friends came up to me to tell me what an awesome job Rebecca was doing. She was calm, poised, professional, kind, organized, positive, and super supportive.     Theeeee best coordinator out there!

    Holly was without a doubt theeee best wedding coordinator out there. Without her my day easily could have been chaos. Holly went above and beyond with helping not only coordinate the vendors but she was helping set up. She is the sweetest person to work with and working with a wedding party of 26 she was calm at all times! Her communication is on point and always responded in a timely fashion. Even though she was hired for a day of coordinator she helped with recommendations throughout the process. My day was a dream and so seamless thanks to Holly.     Wow!! What a dream!

    We are so happy we chose Holly as our wedding planner! Our wedding venue was in a different location from our reception venue, so in addition to handling set up and break down she also helped manage our shuttles from the locations. We also had our exit planned on a gondola which she helped execute. Everything went off without a hitch! It was a lifesaver (and grey-hair saver) to have Holly as our wedding planner/consultant. She also has a lovely calming presence where you feel like you are in good hands and she executed flawlessly and from the looks of it, effortlessly.

    My mom and I are definitely on the more detail-oriented side so as you can imagine, leading up to the big day I had a lot of questions. It was a stress-free planning process with Holly as she answered every one of my tedious questions quickly and thoughtfully. She did a nice job keeping both my mom and I in the loop as we would often tag team with all of questions. Holly is a true consultant, offering guidance when we felt stuck and asking us questions that we hadn’t thought about or knew to ask while planning. We purchased the month of vs day of services, which we would do again in a heartbeat. One huge bonus of this was we were able to use Holly’s gold chargers at no cost while rental companies are quite expensive. This is something inclusive with the month of package that ended up really sprucing up our table-scape beautifully. We cannot thank this wonderful woman enough. I enthusiastically recommend Holly Kalkin and team to be a part of your big day.

    Hiring Holly was the Best Decision!

    Holly is beyond amazing and so worthy of all the 5 stars and awards! Whether it be an intimate or grand event, a guest list the size of a doubles tennis team to the population of a small island or 2... YOU NEED HOLLY. The journey of planning our wedding started off as overwhelming, stressful and crazy until I found Holly Kalkin Weddings. At first, I was not inclined to hire a coordinator because I didn't think it would be worth it for our small wedding. I could not have been more wrong and I'm so glad I changed my mind. From the first meeting 10 months before our wedding, I instantly felt relaxed and more confident about our day. She listened to our vision, expertly reminded us of things we didn't think about, generously provided so much support, and invariably responded to our questions. Where do I find that? Will I need to run around and do this? Holly gave pro tips on how to navigate all the paperwork and assured me every step of the way that she would take care of our day. Part of the contract included unlimited communication with her, so that was already the biggest sigh of relief for me! Because along the way, I needed suggestions left and right for dress alterations, audio equipment, and other vendors. Sure enough Holly had a complete and thorough list of vendors she and her team have worked with and recommend. Even when my last minute flowers order from Plan A store did not pull through, she had a Plan B and C ready at the wings. All I needed to do was write a check--and the flowers came out 100% perfect by the way! Hiring Holly is the gift of calm and kindness to your soul you never knew you needed. Trust me. And like any other bride, I was overcome by worry a few times. Holly sent me kind reminders and thoughtful words to keep me focused on the joy of our most special day. She takes care of working with many details at the venue and rehearsal schedule. The month before the wedding, Holly completely shines when she goes over everything with a fine-tooth comb for the coordination of all the vendors and the day's timeline where everything and everyone is accounted for to the exact minute. I specifically want to highlight her extreme patience, understanding, and respect for my family on the rehearsal day. Everything Holly says and does comes from a sincere and gentle spirit--I cannot emphasize enough how essential this is in your day-of coordinator. Holly made me feel like I was truly the most important person to her every time we would interact. On the day of, all of our guests could not stop raving about how warm and friendly Holly has been!     You need Holly, trust me :)

    I'd like to start out by saying that I had zero intentions of working with a wedding planner/coordinator. For one, it was not something I had planned into my overall wedding budget. and two, it never really came to mind that I would need one. When my wedding venue mentioned it was a requirement and that I could use a friend or family member to fill the role I thought "oh man who the heck am I going to recruit to do this". Well luck would have it that one of my bridesmaids knew someone and the more I thought about it, I figured what could it hurt getting information. Shortly after I contacted Holly. Holly quickly responded to my email and sent me lots of information on the different services she provides. After reviewing the different packages I decided on the "week of" package. I had already lined up most of my vendors, so I figured some help the week of would be great.

    Let me tell you, one of THE BEST decisions I made during the entire wedding process. You might not think that you need the help or that spending the extra money is worth it but HOLLY IS WORTH EVERY PENNY and then some!!! She was AMAZING! She really went above and beyond for me from the get go. Five months before my wedding, my fiancé had to unexpectedly leave for work travel and miss our food tasting. I asked Holly if she could come with me since the venue coordinator wanted to go over other details at the food tasting, Holly came with me. With little to no notice, she was able to meet me there. Thank god she was there, she had good ideas and also gave me loads of information and things for me to think about that I didn't realize I was missing. Her expertise and insight was greatly appreciated!

    Holly also put together my entire wedding day itinerary, something I never really thought about nor had the time to do. My work schedule was nuts the month leading up to my wedding and it was getting hard to keep up. But she had everything covered from when vendors needed to arrive down to the last minute of the night and when vendors would arrive for breakdowns. Holly was on top of everything! I got another preview of Holly's skills during our rehearsal the day before. Again, she covered so many things I would have NEVER thought of that need to happen during a wedding ceremony. She was sooo knowledgeable and professional yet felt like a friend while she helped our wedding party through the rehearsal process.

    The day of our wedding, neither of us really had a care in the world! Ladies, I completely underestimated the amount of time and detail that goes into the day of your wedding. I'm talking down to the holders you will need to hold your table number cards to how your gifts will make it to your room when the night is over to who will take your wedding favors to the ballroom while you are getting hair and makeup done to the easels you will need to hold your welcome sign. These are things you are NOT going to be thinking of/don't have the time to think of or handle when your family and friends start arriving the days leading up to your wedding. And because of Holly and the fact that she thought of those things first, we had it all covered the day of the wedding. I'd like to think that I am very organized and always think of everything but when it comes to your wedding its not possible to remember it all and if you want the day to go by and be as memorable as possible you need HOLLY!

    Day of Coordinator

    Holly was my day of coordinator and she was amazing! I got married this past July at the San Diego Safari park and had to plan everything from London. The park provided a coordinator, but I needed someone to look after all the small day of details that really make or break the event. I'm so glad I found Holly! She worked with the florist, park coordinator, and photographer seamlessly! She had a wonderful energy and was so accommodating and lovely. She even arranged to get all the beautiful custom-made wooden centerpiece boxes back to the florist the next day for us. Holly is so great - I HIGHLY recommend!

    Nothing short of amazing!

    Holly was nothing short of amazing!!!! My wedding went flawlessly and that was because of her, she was outstanding! She was on top of everything throughout the whole wedding process. She is very sweet, calm, organized, and knowledgeable about the wedding process. She knows what it takes to make a wedding go smoothly; from the detailed timeline to informing the DJ what to announce next, she had her hand in every part of the day. I didn’t have to worry at all on my wedding day because I knew Holly was on top of it and making sure everything went as planned. I couldn’t have ask for anything more from a wedding coordinator.     Great coordinator for destination wedding

    Holly was our day of coordinator for our destination wedding in San Diego. She made all the coordination with the venue and other vendors super easy leading up to the wedding day. It was really nice being able to enjoy the days before with my friends and family and not have to worry about making sure vendors had timelines and details, everything was taken care of. Not only was she organized but she is a really sweet person. She helped us run the the rehearsal quickly and easily, got everyone organized before the ceremony and stayed to the end to make sure everything made it back to our room so we could enjoy celebrating with our guests. I really recommend Holly!

    I had no clue how to plan my destination wedding and Holly helped me every step of the way.
    She went above and beyond making sure every little detail was perfect...down to even helping me with my party favors by personally going out, getting them and wrapping each individual favor! She even brought in her own decorations...which saved us a ton.

I can 100% say that Holly Kalkin was an excellent choice, she made a difference in my wedding planning experience. She is reliable, professional, and highly experienced. She executed a great rehearsal by making sure everyone stayed on track and knew exactly what they needed to do the day of the wedding.     Holly was what wedding planning dreams are made of. When I was researching/interviewing wedding planners I knew with certainty she was the one I wanted to work with. She originally gave us one of her other girls but after a fate of luck she stepped up and said she would be our planner. She helped me organize our processional song minute by minute was great with ideas and suggestions and was 100% available to us from the minute we booked her. She made rehearsal run very smoothly and made us feel so much at ease. She stopped by to check on me and my husband (who was in a different room) during the getting ready phase and made sure everything was running on time and as planned. My husband and I both agree that we felt like we had no worries on the day of the wedding as she had everything handled, she even made sure we both had drinks in hand, which really helped! She was right on time for rehearsal and our wedding day and stayed until the very end, packed up our things, and texted us with where everything was. She was in constant contact and we could not be more thankful. Our wedding was flawless and we truly have her to thank! Thank you Holly!!!

    We hired Holly to act as a day of coordinator for our wedding and she greatly exceeded our hopes ad expectations! Holly ensured that all vendors were coordinated, knew when to arrive and adhered to the schedule to keep our wedding perfectly on track. She reduced our stress levels tremendously and allowed us to focus on enjoying our wedding day rather than orchestrating everything ourselves. Holly worked seamlessly behind the scenes but was always there when we needed her. At end of the night she helped us collect our gifts and possessions before we left the venue. During the wedding planning phase she responded to emails very promptly and provided advice on vendors if we needed a recommendation. Additionally, the wedding rehearsal is included in her very fair fee. I recommend Holly Kalkin enthusiastically and without reservation to anyone who is looking for a day of coordinator and also to those who don't yet realize how much they would benefit from having a knowledgeable and experienced professional to coordinate their wedding day.

    Holly made our wedding so easy and and wonderful! I did not have to worry about anything - which is saying a lot because I am a worrier! She has to be one of the kindest and thoughtful wedding planners out there. We hired her for day of coordinating, but she was available throughout the planning if I had any questions and was able to wrangle my big, crazy family perfectly during the rehearsal, wedding, and reception. Something I also noticed, is anytime I mentioned that she was my coordinator to other vendors, they all would say the same thing, "Oh great! Holly is awesome - everything will be taken care of", and they were not wrong. This says a lot. Not only does she work well with the bridal party, but she is also highly respected and works well within the wedding industry in San Diego. Do not hesitate to hire her!

    Holly Kalkin is hands down the best wedding coordinator ever. Not only was my husband and I so impressed, all of our guests came up to us letting us know how wonderful Holly has been. From start to finish; no problems. My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding, not one issue came up. Holly was easy to contact, easy to communicate with and she completely did far more than we ever expected. Our wedding day went so perfect and so smooth all because of Holly.

    Getting married can be extremely stressful! Holly Kalkin and her assistant were amazing coordinators! I truly don't think I would have enjoyed my wedding day if I didn't have them there to handle all of the details. They are organized, kind, helpful, professional, and efficient. Many of the guest complimented us on how smooth and timely everything was. They pay attention to every little detail. They go above and beyond to make sure that your day is perfect. I can't say enough good things about Holly! Hire her for you day! You will be so happy that you did!! She is fantastic. I'll be recommending her to everyone I know!

    Holly was our Wedding Coordinator and she was the absolute best!! We used her for our wedding at Paradise Point really didn’t know how important a Wedding Coordinator was until we saw her in action. Her communication and responsiveness were excellent and she was extremely well organized and professional (she memorized the first names of our key guests). All of our vendors knew exactly what was going on and where to be and when. Her experience showed as she was able to anticipate and diffuse problems before they happened. Several of our guests told us how great she was and how they wished they had her as coordinator for their weddings. Holly did an amazing job working with our florist and setting up our reception tables. In additional, her fee was extremely reasonable and she graciously worked with our budget. Thank you Holly ... we will hire you again in 10 years!!

    Holly was a godsend for my wedding. I only needed day-of coordination for the ceremony because I really didn't want to have to stress about the ceremony going smoothly, and she cut her price down in half since I only needed her to help with the ceremony. Holly was so friendly and personable. She kept everything on track and really really helped me out a lot. She set up our ceremony decorations and gave the vendors their tips from me. Thank you so much Holly for being an amazing part of my wedding day!

    I couldn't have imaging our wedding going any better than it did with Holly at the helm! She set everything up beautifully, kept us on track, and the patience of a saint for putting up with our shenanigans! Holly and her assistant (yes I'm horrible and forgot her name) were just amazing.     THANK GOODNESS for Holly. When our venue insisted we had to have a same day wedding coordinator, we were initially resistant because we were trying to save money. However, when the day before the big day actually came around and Holly showed up to our rehearsal, I realized just how lucky we were that we had her with us. Holly’s calm, kind, and thoughtful presence ran the show so that I could focus on being with my loved ones. She checked with me for anything important, and made the zillions of small issues that pop up just disappear. She got all our ceremony flowers trimmed and into the reception vases, set up all the reception centerpieces, our placecards, front room table, and made sure everything was perfect. She then got it all deconstructed and packed it away for us afterwards so the venue wouldn’t charge us for keeping it there overnight. She collected all our gifts and got them into our room for us, and kept everthing running smoothly and on time through the whole night. She communicated with all our vendors effectively, keeping everyone on the same page. I had no idea how hugely stressful the day of the wedding would be, and I honestly can’t imagine having done it without Holly (our original plan! We were so naïve!). Every penny spent to pay for Holly’s time there was worth it and waaaaay more critical to the success of the day than so many other expenses. Holly, please know how grateful we are to you for making our wedding day run as smoothly as you did, and for your elegance, kindness, and warmth as you did it.

    Holly was our wedding coordinator for our recent La Jolla wedding. From day one Holly was organized, flexible, and thoughtful. Since we are based in the Bay Area, it was very important to find a wedding coordinator that was very communicative and accessible. We were so glad we found Holly because she is easy to work with.

    Holly was helpful in working with us to figure out the ceremony and overall event flow. Holly led the wedding rehearsal and made everything feel easy! We handed off a bunch of items (place cards, photo frames, decor, etc.) that we wanted set up for the wedding and by the time we showed up, Holly had set up everything exactly as we had imagined. The wedding itself went off without any problems, or if there were any problems, we didn't know about them because Holly took care of them.

    First thing to note is that Holly was definitely the BEST investment we made throughout our entire wedding planning process. When we hired her as a day of coordinator, we knew she would be helpful on our day, but we had no idea just how amazing she was until the weeks leading up to our wedding. We seriously cannot say enough about her.

    She is organized, efficient, task and detail oriented, and so incredibly sweet. There are so many details we didn't think about during our initial planning and we dont know how we would have made it through the final week without her. She sent out a comprehensive, detailed itinerary out to all our vendors a week ahead of the wedding and from that moment on she was the primary point of contact going forward. This was huge for my husband and I as we were busy the entire week visiting with family and friends and had ZERO time to stay directly connected with our vendors. Holly allowed us to ENJOY our day.

    I can also say that our day remained ON schedule and I worried about NOTHING the entire time. Both my mother and myself are A-type and natural worriers -- once we met with holly the first time, we knew we had nothing to worry about. She even went as far as to help up bring back equipment so that we wouldn't get charged and added the sweetest little details to our sweetheart table bringing our overall vision to life. If we had to do it all again, there is no amount we wouldn't spend to have Holly as our right hand gal throughout the process. We highly recommend her loyal and dedicated services.

    We are so happy we found Holly on Yelp for our wedding day... it simply would not have been as big of a success without her!

    We had our destination wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla on April 30th. Since we were out-of-state clients, we set up a Skype meeting with Holly to talk to her more about her services. She was on-time to our call and extremely professional. I could tell that she was experienced and flexible and after that meeting alone, I felt confident in the decision to pick Holly to coordinate our wedding day.

    We had the opportunity to meet with Holly once while we were out in California before the big day. In the time leading up to the wedding, she was easily accessible and answered all my questions promptly! She sent out the timeline to all the vendors, and took care of the questions they had that she could answer.

    She ran through our rehearsal and was calm and collected even when I (the bride) was running way behind. She did a great job organizing everyone and explaining the run through, all with a smile on her face.

    On the wedding day, she sent a text or two to me asking to confirm a few things... but other than that, I got to enjoy my morning with my girls. My wedding had a lot of DIY aspects and tons of decor that she was in charge of... Holly did an AMAZING job putting everything out and I could not have been more happy with how everything looked when I got to see the venue before the ceremony.

    Throughout the night, Holly checked in with my husband and I, seeing if we needed anything. She happily answered questions for us, our wedding party, and our guests. She directed the flow of the event and would let us know what was coming up next and where we needed to be. She helped keep the entire event on-time and flowing perfectly! She made day-of decisions that I didn't have to worry about, and she seemed genuinely happy to be there from start to finish.

    Without a doubt in my mind, I HIGHLY recommend Holly!

    I can only say that Holly and her staff were absolutely indispensable and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Our daughter's wedding was held at a private home in San Diego, and we live in Arizona. There was so much work to be done with set up, timing and the logistics, it was overwhelming to us. At our first meeting, Holly came completely organized and prepared which immediately set our minds at ease. On the day of the wedding, Amelia's help was crucial and she just took over and did absolutely everything! The wedding was held on October 3, 2015 and the San Diego heat was intense while they were setting up. I did not need to worry one bit, because everything was set up to perfection and the evening was a magical night for everyone. I recommend Holly and Amelia so highly- they are perfection!

    I would rate Holly and Amelia 100 stars if I could. These two ladies were AMAZING! One the most important investments when planning a 280+ guest list along with 30+ wedding party is hiring a professional wedding planner and Holly was perfect for the job. From the start, these two wonderful ladies were so patient, professional, quick to respond to every question/concern and total overall satisfactory.     Holly was AMAZING! She is very organized and very responsive. She has great insight and literally suggested every other vendor that I used! My husband and I had an intimate, 35 person wedding. She helped us to envision it, worked with us to make sure it was truly fitting us, and then made us feel calm and relaxed throughout the entire process.     Holly was absolutely awesome! From the first time we meet to the end of the wedding I was at complete ease with her. She is a true professional from start to finish.     I could not have been happier with working with Holly. She has an amazing eye for style, and takes the initiative to assist in creating the perfect wedding day. Not only was my wedding beautiful, but it ran smoothly. Everyone knows that a wedding can be stressful! I had very low tolerance for any hiccups. Holly's contribution to our big day went so smoothly I didn't have to worry about a thing. For everything in her control, she controlled!

    She made sure every detail was in place. Not only was she great to work with professionally, but by the time my wedding day was over, I felt as though I had a friend at my event helping me to celebrate. I would recommend her a million times over!! Not only did my friends and family comment to me about how great and on point she was from their observations - but my other vendors said she was the best wedding planner they had ever worked with!!     I'm going to make this short - you HAVE to hire Holly. She started helping me and being a point of contact from the minute I hired her. She brought up questions and ideas I hadn't even thought of. She went above and beyond her duties as a Day Of Coordinator. She quickly replied to all of my emails. She had a rough draft itinerary to me so fast after our first meeting. And of course our rehearsal night and wedding day went off without a hitch. I'm so glad I had Holly there and didn't have to worry about all of the details. I was also glad that my family or friends didn't have to worry about them either. I highly recommend Holly!

    Holly is incredible and absolutely essential for any bride-to-be that you may know! I have referred Holly to two very different brides, and they both felt that she greatly exceeded their expectations on their wedding day (well, all the way from the initial consult, to the rehearsal, the ceremony, and then the reception, actually!). Holly has phenomenal attention to detail, is tremendous with all people, knows how to conduct business with vendors and keep them on track and organized, and also knows weddings inside and out!! The brides she worked for both said that they simply couldn't have enjoyed one of the biggest days of their life without her involvement. One of the brides she worked for actually made a point of pulling me aside during the reception to tell me: "Holly is AWESOME! THANK YOU!" I recommend and refer Holly without reservation. You will not find a better wedding coordinator!

    Great selection of decor!

    Holly and her team were an absolute pleasure to have as our wedding coordinators for Peltzer Winery. Her collection of decor items was so perfect because we really didn’t want to have to buy a bunch of items we probably would never use again. She really helped bring our vision to life and we are very thankful to have had her guidance as we planned and executed our special day!
