We had such an amazing wedding here! The hotel was able to accommodate our ceremony and reception. The staff was super helpful and they took care of set up in between ceremony and reception, which was AWESOME. Their food was so great, the chef was amazing. Such a great place for weddings! When we first began the process of looking for a venue for our ceremony and reception, Erica at Holiday Inn was the most responsive person we talked to. This continued through the entire process of planning and the actual wedding. Erica and the rest of the staff were so willing to work with us to make the day exactly what we wanted. They went above and beyond what was required or expected to help make the day as easy and low stress as possible. Many people commented to me through the weekend how impressed they were with Erica's willingness to help us out. We also got many comments on the food, which was fantastic. We were blown away at our tasting and I think our guests were blown away at our wedding. I truly cannot say enough nice things about Erica and the Holiday Inn. This was a FANTASTIC venue for our wedding reception. We had a lot of guests from out of town, and it was very convenient and our guests enjoyed having the weekend to mingle all at 1 location outside of just our reception. Very conveniently located off of the interstate for travelers and at the American Center is slightly out of the traffic/congestion of the East Towne Mall area, yet just minutes away. Erica was wonderful to work with and took care of every single detail to ensure our day was beautiful and perfect! The food was fantastic; we heard guests say it was the best salmon they had every had and the BBQ bacon-wrapped pork filet was delicious!! The bartenders were amazing and overall my groom, all of our guests, and I had the BEST reception! Thank you Erica and all of the wonderful staff at the Holiday Inn!!Sent on 05/08/2016

What a wonderful place to have a reception, especially if your count is around 150 like ours. Erica and Kelsey were accommodating and prompt with their communication and flexible to make our wishes work out perfectly. Everyone from the chef to the hotel staff to the hotel bar staff was wonderful and really made our guests' (and ours!) experiences excellent. Kaitlyn and her staff were incredible!! She handled both my and my parent's requests/concerns with ease and made everything so easy! I sent her so many e-mails asking her things and she never made it seem like a bother. Our wedding reception was beautiful and didn't cause me stress at all. Our daughter's wedding reception at Holiday Inn - Madison at The American Center was a big success. This was due in large part to Kaitlyn, the Catering Sales Manager, who was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Her professionalism was obvious and she made many excellent suggestions which we were happy to accept. She was very kind and patient in dealing with our families and guests. Her calm and reassuring demeanor was much appreciated, and she handled every question and request thoroughly and with a smile. She kept the reception planning process and the “main event” on time and on budget. Our guests raved about the delicious hors d'oeuvres and entrees, calling them the best they had ever tasted at any wedding event. Kaitlyn sold us on what Holiday Inn has to offer! From planning to pricing, the food to fine details. We had the most amazing experience working with Kaitlyn and the catering department. Kaitlyn was absolutely wonderful to deal with. From the moment we met Kaitlyn we knew our wedding reception needed to be at the Holiday Inn. Everyone who works at the HI was very easy to deal with. They all make sure that your day/celebration will go flawlessly. Our guests commented that the food was awesome, great tasting and plentiful. Kaitlyn even went with us to event essentials to help us retrieve the right color pipe and drape. She defiantly goes out of her way to make sure you have a great day. When you send communication to her...she responds promptly. We even asked if she lived there because she was very responsive. We had our reception at The Holiday Inn at the American Center and overall had a wonderful experience. Early in the planning process we worked closely with Alicia who had glowing reviews on her weddings and we loved working with her. Unfortunately a few months into planning Alicia left her position and it took awhile for her to be replaced. Thankfully we were still months away from our wedding date and were still able to do our tasting and some details with their interim planner. Eventually we started working with Chris to finalize the details of our wedding. There was some initial confusion between the information we had gotten from Alicia and the information we were getting once her position was filled. Thankfully, I had kept all the paperwork Alicia had given us and most of what she quoted us was honored. The things that weren't (linens/lighting/decor) we were able to get ourselves since we still had enough time to take care of it through another vendor. So while we had a few stressful moments, in the end it all came together.Sent on 06/13/2014
Most importantly was how things went on the big day, and they went wonderfully. We got compliments on all of our food - it was so delicious! The wait staff, bartenders, and hotel staff were very helpful and very friendly. We had over 20 rooms booked at the hotel for our guests (most were out of town) on what was also prom and UW graduation weekend. The hotel was sold out and very busy, but everyone working there handled it well and kept all of our guests happy. The reception came together great and in the end we could not have been happier with how it turned out and feel we got a great value.
The staff really worked with us to have everything set up how we wanted it and worked well with our budget. Chris was very helpful in coordinating with our other vendors to get everything set up on the day too. We also really appreciated getting the chance to do decorating/setting up the night before the wedding.

The hall was set up exactly how we had specified in our banquet event order. The cost of the venue included tables, chairs, white table clothes, icicle lightning on the head table and cake table, mirrors on each table, and the dance floor! There is onsite catering and the food is excellent! The event coordinator was super helpful and willing to help with anything she could!Sent on 08/13/2014

Great place to have a wedding. The only thing I didn't like was that my food was taken from the head table and I was not done eating and they ran out of food even though my guest count was 25 under what I gave them!!!Sent on 08/06/2014

We were told we could have the room for pictures after the ceremony and before the transformation for dinner. However, as soon as we got the guest out of the room the started taking everything done and basically closed us out. During dinner the room was too dark. Some of my family had to open sine of the doors just so the could see. Only a couple of tables were served cake then the wait staff just stopped. We I inquired the next day about the remainder of my wedding cake I was told the staff had eaten most of what was left leaving us with only one piece of a two tiered cake. We also had started off with one event coordinator and then after several months of not hearing anything were switched to a different one who had no idea of the agreements we had made with the first and with no explanation as to the switch.Sent on 08/28/2014
