Dream come true
Maurine and her staff were amazing, professional & prompt.
Every step was curated and Maurine painted a picture of my “dream come true,” day & she did not disappoint. The Hilton President was a perfect choice. -

Hilton President is the best venue in KC!
If I had to get married again, there is nowhere in KC I would rather do it than the Hilton President, time and time again! My husband and I knew we wanted a classic, elegant, and timeless wedding and the President and their Congress Ballroom were exactly what we were looking for. The ballroom was the perfect size for our 125 guests, the room (and hotel) is absolutely beautiful, and Keyli and her team made sure everything was executed perfectly. Planning from out of state, we also loved the fact that food, bar, chairs, tables, linens, dining ware, etc. are all provided in house. It made those logistics so much easier on us and we were able to relax knowing the President team is a well oiled machine in knowing exactly what to do on their home turf! Guests also commented on how great the food was and the signature drink we were able to add was a complete hit! Keyli was amazing to plan with and truly handled every detail in making sure our reception stayed on track. She answered all of my (many) emails and questions, worked with our planner behind the scenes, and was in constant communication with us in the weeks leading up to our wedding. She even made sure to keep us on track with hitting our minimums, taking that stress off us and allowing us to simply make choices to enhance our night. We loved every minute of our reception and had absolutely no anxiety going into the night knowing that Keyli and team had it covered. In our opinion, this is the best reception space in all of downtown KC and I would book here a million times over! -

The Hilton President is a FABULOUS wedding location. We had our reception here and it was so convenient to have everything under one roof--from the food to servers, bartenders, linens, candles, getting-ready rooms, separate cocktail hour location, and a room block so guests can go right downstairs to their rooms at the end of the night. Not to mention the beautiful hotel made for the best backdrop for wedding photos.
I was pleasantly surprised at how far each dollar went. The pricing here is comparable to other empty, industrial-style venues. Because the hotel is so fabulous already (huge chandeliers, gilded columns, stunning dance floor) I did not have to spend much money AT ALL on additional decorations, dance floor, lighting, or flowers. The beauty of the hotel speaks for itself!
The ballroom comfortably fit 200 guests with plenty of room for a band and dance floor. The room is not too big so the band acoustics were still great. It had the feeling of intimacy.
The wedding coordinator, Keyli, was very responsive, helpful, and proactive. She was kind and worked within my budget. The entire staff was professional and easy to work with. Dinner service was a breeze and the bartenders made it so there was hardly ever a line. A true five-star experience! -

The easiest planning experience and the best day.
If you are nostalgic at all, or just have a love of Kansas City like my husband and I do, then the President is a great place to get married! The hotel has so much history, and the ballroom is the most beautiful one in the city.
-Planning: Keyli knows her stuff. Every meeting we had she was prepared with questions for us and had thoughtful suggestions if I didn't know what I wanted. Every question I had was answered quickly, and she was always flexible with changes that happened along the way. She made it so easy!
-Wedding Day/Weekend: The wedding was absolutely perfect in every way. The ballroom is stunning and the staff was on it for the set up, the dinner, and the bars. Our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about the meal and their experience. Keyli was a quiet presence however, likely running around crazy behind the scenes.
I think when you read reviews and are looking for a place to have the most special day of your life, you want it to be easy! There is so much to coordinate you want to make sure your vendors are competent and on top of things. Keyli was absolutely all of these things and I couldn't have been happier with our choice.

I had my reception at Hilton President Hotel in KC. It was a wonderful experience. The hotels coordinator was extremely profession, easy to get ahold of, and very dependable. They made the wedding planning process easy and fun. The staff that worked the event was very professional as well. I had many of my friends and family compliment me later on how well mannered they were. I highly recommend having your wedding at this venue -

I cannot say enough about how great this experience was. I had only 5 months to plan my daughter’s wedding from out of state. The Hilton President was the perfect venue for us.
The Congress Ballroom is exquisite. The food is delicious. The guest rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Nicely updated. The accessible rooms are the best I’ve ever seen with spacious walk-in showers and built-in shower benches.
The Drum Room was the perfect place for our guests to spend time with family and friends in between the weekend festivities.
Marissa, the catering manager, is the best. Great communication throughout the planning process. Her meticulous attention to detail and the timeline made for a perfect day from start to finish. The evening flowed without a hitch and it sadly flew by too soon! We didn’t want the night to end.
The farewell breakfast the next morning was the perfect final touch for our out of state family and friends. Delicious food, beautiful set-up and gracious staff.

Beautiful venue, amazing coordinator & team
We couldn't be happier that we chose The President for our reception venue. It was a dream come true and the ballroom is stunning. As someone who is easily overwhelmed with coordinating a million moving parts, I so appreciated that The President takes care of everything. Marissa was so helpful and attentive from day 1 and was extremely accommodating and flexible, especially when we started to make changes as close as a week before the big day. I had a lot of family stay at the hotel from out of town as well and they were all so impressed with the hotel itself. You can't go wrong choosing The President. Your guests will be wowed and your day will be beautiful. Thank you! -

Our daughter’s wedding reception at the Hilton President far exceeded our expectations in every way! The beautiful ballroom is the perfect place to host an elegant and fun reception! Gorgeous Venue with Almost Everything Included and Responsive Extremely Helpful Staff
I absolutely loved the Hilton President. The venue is gorgeous and service was amazing. I had so many compliments on how pretty the venue was and how good the food was. Something I really liked about the Hilton President is that a lot was included. Since it is a hotel they have chairs, tables, linens, napkins, place settings, food, beverage, and cake cutting service which made things easier with planning. Marissa Pope is the Catering Sales Manager and she is very sweet and helps a lot with the process along with day of coordination. The Hilton President Kansas City was an excellent venue choice to host our daughters wedding reception! We could not have been more happy with the location, amenities, staff and more. Marissa Pope, is such an asset to this hotel. She not only met with us as many times as we requested; she filled in many of the blanks we had not even considered. From our initial viewing of the ballroom to helping us check in, getting our things from the ballroom back to our hotel room for the evening, working with all our vendors, and making sure several times that evening we had all our needs met, the staff was extraordinary. The entire wedding reception was magical and we give a lot of this credit to the Hilton and their staff. You can not go wrong by choosing the Hilton President! -

Miranda Sent on 03/16/2018We loved hosting our brunch wedding at the Hilton President! The Congress ballroom is beautiful on it's own, so we didn't need to a lot of extra decorations. We were planning from out of state (Illinois) and Marissa Pope, the catering manager, was amazing to work with - she was responsive, detailed, and made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. Marissa and team executed our vision perfectly, from a low lit ceremony to our sun-filled reception - the work done by her team was stunning.
Our guests are still talking about what a memorable day it was and how much they enjoyed staying at the Hilton President. We had quite a few guests from out of town and the staff handled all of our accommodations seamlessly. Our day was beautiful and everything went smoothly; we could not have been happier.
