    Amazing venue with amazing staff

    I am thrilled to leave a 5-star review for Hilton San Gabriel, especially for Juli Costanza, who played a pivotal role in making our wedding on 10/7/2023 an absolute dream come true.

    Juli was nothing short of AMAZING every step of the way during our wedding planning process. Her responsiveness and dedication made her more than just a venue coordinator; she became our thought partner in crafting our special day. She delved into every little detail, posed questions about aspects we hadn't even considered, and truly helped bring our wedding vision to life. Juli was always available when we needed her, yet she also gave us the space to breathe, striking the perfect balance. She was like our wedding fairy godmother!

    What truly set Juli apart was her remarkable ability to anticipate our needs. Every time our vendors or coordinator had questions, Juli was ON IT. When we expressed concerns about the possibility of the sun becoming too hot for our guests, she immediately devised a plan to protect them with extra umbrellas just days before the wedding.

    We had the privilege of working with Juli for 7 months, and throughout this journey, she was there for us during our endless questions, an amazing menu tasting, and ensuring we had everything we needed on the big day.

    From the initial planning stages to the flawless execution of our wedding, we can confidently say that we had the best time of our lives, all thanks to Juli. We will wholeheartedly recommend the San Gabriel Hilton to any friends planning their weddings, if they desire a seamless, flawless, and beautiful celebration.

    Perfect for us

    My husband and I planned to be married at the Hilton in 2020, but plans changed and we actually backed out of the Hilton due to the heartache of rescheduling and being disappointed due to the pandemic. When we started planning our wedding again, we talked to a few other venues, but in the end, we came back to the Hilton. We worked with Medeline and she was so accommodating to all our needs and updates compared to our previously discussed details. The garden terrace is a beautiful place to hold the ceremony and so convenient to later have cocktail hour and reception downstairs. All our guests loved the convenience and everything transitioned so smoothly. Ballroom was spacious and food and drinks were great. We had the best time with no complaints! Best venue to consider for large guest count!

    They have a beautiful ballroom and worked closely with us on all our concerns and to meet our needs. They accommodated all our requests. They provided complimentary stays at the hotel , printed menus, provided table numbers, signage to the event rooms, parking & changing room. The dinner was Chinese food plus great service. Waiters helped pour drinks for our guest tables.

    Juli Costanzo and the entire staff at the Hilton helped make our October reception an incredible success !!! They not only exceeded our expectations but set the standard for service, professionalism, and elegance. We had the time of our lives and our guests all had a blast.

    Gorgeous venue with top notch service. Highly recommend if you want a classy, elegant and refined event.

    We booked 2 rooms and stayed 2 nights at the Hilton before and after our wedding. The staff were all amazing from the front desk, events manager, bellhop, restaurant staff and night manager Mario Castillo. The day before the wedding we called the hotel and asked if it's ok for us to take wedding pictures in the hotel even though we didn't booked the hotel for our event. Most hotels charge to take pictures inside their hotel. The events manager said she'll call us back, she called us back and gave us a time slot to use the hotel rooftop for picture taking. We got complimentary parking for two cars. Everyone was so friendly and very accommodating. They made us feel very special.

    We got steak and eggs for breakfast and the steak was so good! Restaurant staff was very nice and friendly.

    Rooms were clean.

    There are tv by the jacuzzi and pool, which my husband loved.

    Overall I love this hotel.

    We had our ceremony and reception at the San Gabriel Hilton. Julie was my sales coordinator and is awesome at her job! She was there for me from the beginning till the end :) Derek was our Captain for our wedding night, he was very awesome too. Kept the event flowing and was very professional and responsive, can't ask for a better team. I will def. recommend everyone to have their wedding here. The place was huge and elegant!

    When we started looking for a wedding venue, the San Gabriel Hilton was not the first one on our list - why? Even though we lived so close to it, we didn't give it a chance, opting instead to look at other places, including the Hilton at Universal City. What we wanted initially was a wedding that featured your typical 8 course Asian Cuisine (lobster, shark fin soup, honey walnut shrimp, duck, etc), without the overly "Asian" vibe that you get from an Asian wedding at a seafood restaurant. After our first visit, not only did we fall in love with the venue (we had our ceremony on the rooftop terrace), but the driving force was our coordinator Medeline Yu. She alone was the reason we booked the San Gabriel Hilton. She is literally the sweetest woman you will ever meet, and I am glad that we were lucky enough to have her as our planner. She is completely reasonable with your requests, and is the reason why we ended up booking our other vendors, out of her recommendations (best recommendations ever). I would get married again just to work with Medeline again!

    Juli is the hotel coordinator that we worked with. I can't say enough good things about her. The venue is the first thing i booked. I wanted a venue that served chinese food without going to a chinese restaurant. We loved the location, it is very convenient for all the out of town guests and the ballroom is beautiful. Juli is very professional, and she responds quickly to any concerns or requests you may have. I usually contact her through email and she will always respond within 24 hours if not sooner, but you can call her anytime. She is so helpful, and is willing to work around you. Our wedding turned out beautifully. She worked with us the whole way through. There are no hidden charges. If you read the packets, it says that 20% service fee will be added, then tax on top of everything. Juli is very organized and easy to work with. She has a folder for every couple, with all your emails printed. I had a lot of last minute changes, but Juli was just on top of it! If you want to have your wedding at San Gabriel Hilton, ask for JULI!!!!

    Juli was our sales manager and we could not be happier. She cater to all of our needs. She is extremely kind and helpful. Andrew was our captain for the night and he was SUPER organized. He kept everything in order and on time. We served western food and the waiters were very attentive and professional.

    We worked with Juli, who is the catering manager at the hotel. She was wonderful. My husband and I chose the Hilton Hotel because he wanted a Chinese menu, and I wanted a modern European look. Our ceremony was held at the Garden Terrace, and the reception was held downstairs in one of the ballrooms. It was perfect, and there are so many places to take wonderful pictures. The staff was wonderful, and our guests even complimented us on how kind the waiters were. Our banquet captain, Derek, was great and always made sure we were happy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

    We had our wedding ceremony and reception here and I can't say how beautiful this venue is.
    At first I was skeptical about this venue because parking is a bit difficult and they sometimes charge $5 per car to park. We were working with Juli the catering manager she was very honest and made us feel comfortable with our booking. There was no hidden fees and we got just as we signed on the contract.
    As for Chinese menu the food was not so great. The favors were okay but the texture of the food was soggy.
    Overall I'am still happy to have my wedding here because of how beautiful it is.

    I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the San Gabriel Hilton. It was the perfect place in the heart of San Gabriel Valley. My event coordinator was Juli Costanzo beyond great. She was very accommodating in terms of what we wanted for our wedding and with thru great lengths at times to help us out to make our day perfect. She is also super responsive to my emails and questions.

    The venue itself was also really nice, I had my ceremony upstairs on the rooftop. You would have never known that below is Valley Blvd with all the bustling cars and people below. The ballroom was also really beautiful very grand and most importantly one of the few hotels that serve a 10 course chinese banquet style reception dinner.

    There were a few things that I found out from my guest that didnt allow me to give this place all 5 stars. Since this was a 10 course meal, plates of food were taken out by the wait staff but before they plate was even finish the wait staff was already rushing to take it away and didnt even offer the rest to anyone else on the table. One of my guest was informing that it there were still plenty of room left on the table for that plate and it was not like there was no more room and had to clear the plate. Another was the drinks. I had put on my contract for unlimited soda which was to be served during the meal but soda was probably offered once in the beginning and then my guest would have to flag down the people for soda. I think a few of the guest got tired of flagging them down they rather go up to the bar area and order a soda there instead. Same goes with the wine, we bought plenty of bottles but the wine seem to only come around once and that was it.

    Overall everything was great the only reason why some of the ratings aren't so high was due to the wait staff. I kept Quality of Service at a 4 star mainly because of Juli whom was beyond exceptional

    The venue was excellent. The waiters were good. However, the chinese food for the reception was fair. The menu and venue was expensive though.

    We had our wedding reception here in May 2010.The hotel itself is quite pretty and is one of very few places that offers an asian menu without all the asian stuff that usually comes with it (red/gold/dragons/loud patrons) which is why we decided to go with the Hilton. It was also convenient because guests could stay overnight and not have to go far for accomodations. However, the "group rate" they offered us was about $30 more per room/ per night than what we were finding on the hotel search websites so we ended up booking through Hotels.com.

    The food is decent although much more expensive than holding a chinese banquet at a restaurant. (almost double of some of the places we were considering in china town) and the Hilton also charges a lot of miscellaneous fees. But the ballrooms are spacious and look much nicer than any chinese restaurant I've seen. They only hold tastings on certain weekdays, so we sent my in-laws to try the food since we couldn't get off work to go. Overall the service seemed ok on the day of the wedding but a few friends did complain that their waitor was a little rude.

    We worked with Eliza from the Hilton. She made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of, but was not very responsive to emails. I'd suggest calling if you need something done. She was polite, but not super friendly. She did take into account our special requests and all the tables and chairs were set up as we requested. She did also recommend a DJ/electrical technician for us.

    Overall my experience with the Hilton was ok. It was a beautiful venue and i was happy with the food, but it was expensive and not a lot is included in the package price.

    The venue is in the heart of San Gabriel Valley. So you have to figure that the area around the hotel will be crowed. Their underground parking is rather small, so our guest had a hard time finding parking. Their service was kind of lack luster. Seems a bit rushed.

    The Catering Manager was hard to work with, the GM was great. I think the coordinator has changed, she wasn't quite organized. I will add that they had just opened that year. I have gone to other weddings there since and they were nice.

    We were very disappointed in the Hilton San Gabriel. The venue itself was a great location. The setup was great. However, the service from the waiters were horrible, and that basically ruined everything. We were promised so much by the Hilton, and even though we had heard bad things about the service there previously, they assured us that the staff had completely changed, and it was no longer an issue. Well, on our wedding day, several (and by that, I mean nearly half of our guests) told us that they only got served drinks once. Some of them even said the waiters never poured them drinks throughout the whole night. And this was after the Hilton told us we could bring our own unlimited apple cider and charged us for corkage fee, AND charged us for the supposedly unlimited soda that Hilton provided. We were charged, yet they didn't serve. On top of that, we ordered vendor food, and I specifically asked for one of the 2 options. On the day of the wedding, our vendors were not served what we had originally requested and paid for. Lastly, I understand the need to sign off on some bills and they need our feedback and review of the evening, etc., but they literally pulled off my husband and I the second we stepped out the door in the middle of the reception. Seriously? Not to mention that when we received our credit card bill, there were a bunch of miscellaneous charges on there, and when I contacted the caterer who was so nice prior to the wedding, there were no explanations as to what the charges were for, except sending me a repeat of the bill in Hilton code. What?! I knew we should have gone with Universal Hilton instead.

    we had our wedding here and when I think about how this hotel ruined my big day I still cry about it...we went through the entire process of planning our reception ,the menu to be served,cocktail hour, the set up time and prep time for our big day with the coordinator and come our big day...nothing they committed to happened. The coordinator failed to tell us that they booked 2 events within an hour of each other ..the first event was supposed to end at 4pm which would have allowed the staff to prep and clean for our event and clean the dance floor---but it didn't. Our vendors were not able to set up for almost 2 hours and everything was rushed and the staff was not set up on time or able to clean the dance floor and our families were forced to help out because our event was supposed to start at 6pm.And to top it off the catering dept ran out of our menu food choices for our guests,even though we gave them a final head count as we were told to do.At over seventy dollars per guest ,we expected more from the Hilton . They ran out of food and the servers were rude to our guests and even though we had the site til midnight, our guests were being kicked out by the staff! Please do not book your reception here.! When we tried to go to management,they didn't care that we spent alot of money to have a memorable event..a free night stay is supposed to soothe the inconvenience ?

    BEWARE!!! No responsiveness at all!! I was highly interested in this location because it was beautiful and had the accommodations we wanted. I went through Wedding Wire and Hilton SanGabriel direct website to inquire pricing. I have called twice directly to Hilton SanGabriel and phone keeps ringing. It's been 3 months now and still no response via emails nor call backs. I got so annoyed, I emailed Customer Service through the main Hilton's website, they said that they would forward my pricing inquiries to Hilton SanGabriel. I still yet to hear from them. I have received responses from other Hilton locations for my wedding inquiries. I think it's just this location in SanGabriel. I do not recommend this location venue at all to any future brides. Good Luck!
