We had the 2nd wedding of our dreams! The Pier House staff were very professional, responsive, accommodating and it was definitely a great value! They exceeded all of our expectations! We had our wedding on the pier and it was so magical to hear the waves crashing on the beach, to feel the gentle sea breezes and to see the dolphins swimming nearby! Mother Nature cooperated enough to allow us to get our wedding and pics done just in time for an amazing thunder and lightning show! Thank goodness we were all safely inside of the Pier House enjoying our delicious buffet dinner! Can't say enough great things about Miha and her wonderful staff! Our guests can't stop raving about how beautiful the venue was and how it was one of the most fun weddings that they had ever attended! THE Best Wedding Venue!! My husband and I got married on the pier and had our reception inside the pier house. We could not have been happier with how everything went from start to finish in the entire process, from meeting with Miha and her team and choosing to get married there, to the very end. Miha is AMAZING!!!! She was attentive to every detail. She is such an amazing event coordinator and the nicest person!! This is an absolute DREAM wedding venue! We stayed at the Hilton the entire weekend of our wedding & it was so nice to be a short walk to our reception area and have the majority of guests staying in the same hotel with us!
From the moment we met Jamie at our menu tasting I knew we were in good hands! She asked all the right questions to make sure our day flowed smoothly. She kept in contact through the all of the planning & kept us up to date on everything. Unfortunately, Jamie had a family emergency but Peggy jumped in to cover the weekend of our wedding. You would have thought Peggy had worked with us through the entire process. She communicated everything & check on us frequently to make sure everything went off without a hitch. Jamie even checked in. I couldn’t have asked for a better team of coordinators!
The pier house is absolutely stunning!!! You don’t need to over do it with decor because the wrap around windows with ocean view and the immaculate wood covering the walls and floor are enough on their own. Throw in the drapes & lighting from I DO OBX & you’re In a fairytale!
The Hilton does all of the catering & drink service so you don’t have to worry about getting multiple vendors, the only problem was narrowing down the meal and hors d'oeuvres from their extensive list! (Good problem to have) All of the catering & bar staff were amazing! Everyone checked in on us multiple times during the reception & literally catered to us, brought us drinks & made plates for us! They cleaned up the venue and put our personal decorations together so we could grab them the next day!
You can’t go wrong with the Kitty Hawk Pier house!!

We worked with Peggy and she was absolutely amazing, went above and beyond. We were planning this from several hundred miles away and she was always super responsive, helped us every step of the way, kept us on top of our timelines, made the whole process very pleasant and easy. she even made sure the guys all got their boutonnieres on correctly. We did not have a wedding planner and Peggy really made the entire day run smoothly and was a very pleasant person to be around. Couldn't ask for more!
Our daughter got married at the Kitty Hawk Pier house in June 2024 and it was a truly wonderful experience. Jamie and her team were extremely helpful throughout the entire process and had great communication. The day of the ceremony and reception was flawless. They took care of everything so we were completely stress free and just enjoyed the day. The guests were contacting me days later raving about how amazing the food and venue were. Dream team! I can't say enough about the event team at Kitty Hawk Pier House! From beginning to end, Miha was helpful, patient and kind. She listened to us (parents of the bride) as we explained what our daughter and the groom were hoping the day to be like. She provided words of wisdom to us as we navigated all of the planning, sharing tidbits of ideas and also helped tremendously with finalizing our menus for the day. Miha is a gem and has such a calming presence about her that even on the day of when I was helping to make magic happen for my daughter and now son-in-law, she was easy going and positive! The HGI event team worked seamlessly with our fabulous arbor and chair vendor (IDO Obx) to setup the pier ceremony exactly as my daughter hoped for - facing North to the beaches where she grew up. And also with the amazing Maria Kandalova, Outer Banks Photography and awesome Jeremy Russell, Outer Banks Wedding Entertainment. The food for the cocktail hour was so yummy, especially the vegetarian quesadillas and cocktail shrimp. Oh and the artichoke dip too! And the buffet dinner was also super yummy - quality food and plenty of it! We also had an ice cream sundae bar that was a huge hit because it was a hot day! The servers and bartender were super helpful and friendly too - lots of smiling faces. The entire night was JUST as we had all hoped thanks to the Kitty Hawk Pier House team and our great vendors. THANK YOU! Also, the newly renovated lobby and guest rooms were super impressive! Our family members and friends who stayed at the HGI for the wedding weekend couldn't say enough about the helpfulness of the staff and cleanliness of the hotel. I am SO happy that my new husband and I decided to go with KHP for our wedding (6/23/24)! My parents met with Miha last summer & she has been fantastic with coordinating everything (she mostly collaborated with my Mom, so I’ll let her leave a review to rave more about her specifically :)). Everything was perfect for our rehearsal and day-of! The pier and pier house were both beautiful, and it was so reassuring to know that even if it rained (which it didn’t) we still had a gorgeous back-up in plan!
My favorite thing about KHP aside from the location & view was the seamless collaboration between them & all of my other vendors! Their communication with our photographer (Maria Kandalova), DJ (Jeremy Russell), and I Do OBX led to a day of minimal stress for me and my family! I trusted that Miha was keeping everyone on rhe same page! They were also super accommodating of all of our more out-there requests (such as me having milk in my champagne glass instead of champagne, adding a Mac n cheese buffet option for picky eaters, or all of my mom’s felt flowers!!) Miha Sleigel made this experience seamless. She is a professional with a personal touch. Through the planning process, willing to answer emails immediately (we had 3 people in 3 different time zones) to the 'day of' coordination. She offered direction and guidance when needed. To first looks, no looks, maximizing time at the venue, etc, the best. We were told that the food was the best 'wedding food' of any wedding and the hands down the best wedding. Perfect Wedding Day
We found the Hilton Garden Inn for my daughters wedding a little over a year before her wedding. We knew we wanted it at the Beach and that was where we started.
Little did we know that we had chosen the absolute perfect place.
Although it was a bit chilly and windy the day of the wedding, we had a beautiful ceremony on the beach followed by the most incredible night in the ballroom.
Miha was absolutely wonderful. She responded very quickly from the very beginning of our contract. Not like some places you had to send multiple messages to in order to get your answer. Although I had not met her face to face before the rehearsal, when I did meet her I felt as if I was meeting a dear friend.
The venue was perfect for our group of 151 people. The food was wonderful! Highly recommend the beef.
We had some over 21 that do not drink for various reasons and Miha worked with us to make sure that we did not pay for alcohol that was not consumed, and the venue did not give away alcohol that was not paid for.
I wish we had another daughter to do a wedding for at Hilton Garden Inn
If you are considering an event here, do not wait another second. Book it!

Unforgettable venue and outstanding support from Miha!
The rustic oceanfront venue was everything i dreamed of and more. Having the option to do our ceremony inside, on the private pier, or on the beach gave me such peace of mind! We opted for indoors so we didn’t have to stress about the weather, but we took so many pictures on the pier and the beach that i didn’t feel like i missed out at all. The pier house staff was so responsive and helpful, particularly our coordinator Miha. We truly couldn’t have had such an incredible day without her! It was such a relief having her keep everyone on schedule and communicate with vendors, it really was like hiring a wedding planner but her support came with the venue. The other great benefit was the alcohol and catering options. Not having to go through a separate vendor made the process so much easier, and they had a huge variety of menu options to choose from. Overall, I’m ecstatic with my experience and it couldn’t have been a better day. I could not have imagined a more perfect venue for our wedding. The beach has a special place in my heart, but we didn't want to get married ON the beach (although that is an option here too!). The ability to get married on a pier above the ocean was the perfect fit for us. It was beautiful, classy, romantic, and still comfortable and down-to-earth. It was perfectly "us."
We had perfect weather, so after the ceremony on the pier our guests mingled on the pier for cocktail hour. If we had not had perfect weather, having the ceremony inside would have honestly been beautiful. I loved having that peace of mind through the planning process. The Pier House is historic and cozy. It is versatile and suited for a variety of wedding aesthetics without being too plain or boring. I felt that our decorations easily enhanced the already beautiful building. If I had wanted to do fewer florals to save money, it would have still be quite lovely.
The food was great. Unfortunately, my husband and I were running on adrenaline and barely ate. I had been looking forward to the cozy shrimp since our tasting...so good!! Luckily our guests were able to enjoy everything. I loved that alcohol, dinner, cocktail hour, tables, etc. are all handled by the Pier House. This really does cover 90% of what you actually NEED for a wedding, and since it's all handled in-house its seamless and makes the initial planning process so easy. You already have so much taken care of as soon as you book! We also felt that it was an incredible value, especially compared to some other venues that are not nearly as unique or all-inclusive.
We worked with Jamie. Her attentiveness and kindness does not stop once she's "made the sale." She was so sweet and responsive throughout the planning process, and she kindly put up with lots of questions from me :) I am very "type-A", and I often find that other people don't have the same attention to detail I do. However, every time I had a question I was reassured that she truly had everything covered and we were in good hands. On our actual weekend, she walked my wedding party through the rehearsal and was there for the wedding to guide us through the ceremony and the first part of the reception to make sure everything was running smoothly. I had a moment of panic when I was about to walk down the aisle and I realized my Dad had no idea how to fluff my dress (and my bridesmaids were waiting for me at the altar!). No worries, Jamie to the rescue. She was already planning on fixing my dress and veil after I stepped outside.

I can't tell you how many times I have heard that this was the most beautiful venue my guests had been to. The food was amazing and Jamie was absolutely CRUCIAL in making sure the day went on without a hitch. They have a huge inventory of decorations you can borrow so I didn't even have to pay for any centerpieces or signs! I wish I could relive the day over and over again (and thankfully I'll be able to thanks to our videographer!) I have ZERO complaints about this venue and would do it all over again if I could. The whole Kitty Hawk Pier team was so amazing, and Jamie was super responsive to any questions I had (and I had A LOT). It was so convenient to have food, alcohol, wedding, and ceremony all in one place. The wedding coordinator was so helpful I didn’t feel like I needed a wedding planner. You will need to hire someone to set up chairs for the ceremony. They close off the pier during your ceremony if you choose to have it on the pier vs the beach, but it does open back up during the reception.

From our initial contact with the wedding staff to closing the door at the end of our event, the Hilton Garden Inn, Kitty Hawk, NC was professional, accommodating, creative, flexible, and a joy to work with.
There was no detail left unattended and the coordination of the wedding service on the pier, set up of the reception, food service, decorations, and hotel accommodations was flawless. Easily the most fantastic wedding and reception I could have asked for for our daughter!
The Kitty Hawk Pier House is perfect for a wedding reception, easily accommodating our 70+ guests. The Hilton staff transform this venue into something very special for wedding events.
Two weeks post wedding and we still can’t think of one thing we would change or wish we would have done differently.

Kitty Hawk Pier Weddings are the Best!
We worked with Miha after touring several other vendors in the area. Kitty Hawk Pier was the obvious choice. Miha was very kind, knowledgeable, and flexible. We changed the number of guests attending several times and she was always helpful. She extended the room block after the deadline as well for some last minute add ons. The venue was beautiful and everything went well. It's a great location! Loved the venue and the coordinator (Miha) who came with it!! Miha was super helpful from the start - not living nearby, she gave me a FaceTime walk through of the property and venue. Even though she was a "day of" person, she was super helpful starting from the time of booking: answering my many emails/questions, helping with vendor recommendations, etc. She was lovely to work with! During the reception, the strap of my dress broke and before I could even say anything she showed up with a sewing kit and fixed me right up! She even followed up a couple days later asking if the strap held up alright. Rating for Miha: 500 out of 5 stars!!
The venue: price was super reasonable for all that is included: linens, flatware, tables, reception chairs, wait staff, bartenders (you pay a small extra fee for them, but don't have to find bartenders from an outside vendor!), even some decor and centerpiece options. The catering is also done in-house, so one less vendor you have to outsource as well! With all this included, it made planning SO much easier than what I've seen friends go through who have to hire a separate vendor for every little thing. The ceremony was held on the beach, cocktail hour on the pier - both with gorgeous views. The outside of the Pier House left my friends wary of what the inside would look like, but the inside was beautiful as well! Has a sort of barn house feel with large windows overlooking the ocean, and when flowers/greenery were added it was BEAUTIFUL.
Overall, just vary happy with this venue and would absolutely recommend it! -

We had our wedding at the Pier House this past May, and it was the best decision I ever made! Our ceremony was held on the pier, and having the ocean in the background was absolutely beautiful. The pier is public, but is blocked off for the ceremony, so it was wonderfully private. As for the reception in the Pier House, perfection. The food is delicious and the venue is very pretty inside. We had the pleasure of working with Peggy as our in-house coordinator. She kept in constant contact with us and made sure every detail was squared away. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. I picked this venue based on Instagram photos and a video chat 5 months before our wedding! My husband didn't even see it until rehearsal dinner the night before! And let me tell you, absolutely everyone that made the journey down from NJ was blown away! The view from inside the pier house is breathtaking! Not only are you surrounded by waves crashing on the shore below you but the inside of the pier house has a rustic feel with the wooden floors, high ceilings, and chandeliers. Great venue!
We wanted to get married in the beach, and even though the weather didn’t cooperate the venue was accommodating and beautiful! The Pier House is gorgeous with wood and the ocean was pounding outside. We couldn’t have asked for better! The accommodations were beautiful, with the beach front rooms which had a romantic two person tub in the room.
The food for the wedding was spectacular, our guests were overjoyed with the appetizers and the amazing entree! We did a combined of braised beef and Tilapia with crab and hollandaise on top. They were accommodating to my food preferences and made a special meal for me which was incredible!

If you want an amazingly gorgeous beach venue, Kitty Hawk Pier at the Hilton is absolutely it. We fell in love with this at the OBX Wedding Expo in March 2020, booking before we left that weekend. And with our loooooonng time to plan, everything ran seamlessly. Miha made sure of it. Our wedding day ran more on schedule than any wedding I've ever been to. The food was amazing (shout out to Will and the banquet staff for an incredible job). The inside of the Pier House was stunning. We brought boxes of random decor we liked and it was magically transformed into a beach wonderland. Our guests had a fantastic time. The views from the Pier also can't be beat at sunset. The Kitty Hawk Pierhouse gave me my dream wedding. I have been vacationing in the OBX since I was a kid and I couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. We booked in 2020 and shifted to 2021 with COVID. Through all of the intensity that comes with wedding planning Miha and her dream team we’re simply the best - empathetic, organized, quick to reply, and most of all FUN to work with!! If I ever setup another event in OBX I would go here again in a heartbeat. My guests are still raving about how much fun they had and how DELICIOUS all of the food was. It was super helpful that the booking came with lanterns so less to travel with / setup / take down for the reception. The pier house is perfect to give you the indoor/outdoor combo of settings where guests can pause to enjoy the ocean views for a bit. Our guests were 3-80 years old and all had a blast with lots of dancing and catching up. Kids loved being able to go to the beach the day prior to the wedding to help start what they called more of a vacation than just the wedding. If you’re between different OBX venues and you fit within the pier house I would recommend going with it and having the time of your life. The Wedding of Our Dreams!
I could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding. Your venue is THE most important decision of wedding planning because everything else depends on it. The Kitty Hawk Pier House provides the perfect setting of ceremony on the sand or the pier, and reception inside a rustic and beautifully decorated pier house. I wasn't worried about the rain because I knew we could easily make a last minute decision to move the ceremony inside and still have a gorgeous wedding, so it takes a lot of pressure and worry off your shoulders.
The Hilton Garden Inn also provides catering so that's another vendor you do not need to worry about hiring, and the food was fantastic. We also stayed at the hotel which is so convenient, the bride's room is located on the bottom floor near the pier with easy access to outside so it was a quick walk to the ceremony. Our guests loved staying at this beach front hotel too, every room has some view of the ocean.
And best of all, they provide you a coordinator for the whole time from the time you book to the end of the wedding. I worked with Miha and she was amazing! I wanted to plan my own wedding and didn't hire a planner, but Miha was there to guide me through a lot of decisions and to talk me off the ledge when I got stressed out about things out of my control (Covid, gas shortage etc.).
I felt I was in professional hands the entire planning process and the wedding itself, it turned out absolutely gorgeous! Hands down the best decision to have our wedding at the Kitty Hawk Pier House.Hilton Garden Inn Outer Banks Kitty Hawk- Pier House's reply:

We knew that picking our wedding venue was our first priority when starting to plan our wedding last year. Once we decided to get married in the Outer Banks, we started researching wedding venues. We came across The Hilton Garden Inn/Kitty Hawk Pier and were mesmerized by the photos, the uniqueness of the pier house and excited about getting married on the beach (a dream of mine for years). From the very moment we reached out to inquire about this venue, Miha Slegel, the Sales Manager, responded quickly to our inquiries and answered every single question we had along the way (and there were many!). Our first impression of the venue started with Miha, and her professionalism and responsiveness. Miha has several years of experience and it was certainly apparent when working with her. She kept in contact with us through the entire planning process and in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding, our stress level was low because we knew that Miha had it all handled. It was also a relief that all of our vendors worked with Miha on previous weddings so they were able to communicate with each other which also took some of the burden off of us. Everything was PERFECT!! From the minute we booked our ceremony and reception sites here at the Hilton, Miha was wonderful in answering all of our questions and very responsive. We planned our wedding from Florida and had to reschedule our May wedding due to COVID. We both felt that everything was in great hands throughout this process. I felt that the Hilton did an amazing job helping us plan during the unforeseen times and did a fabulous job on our wedding day. My daughter was recently married at the HGI Kitty Hawk Pier House and it was as perfect and wonderful as we could ever have imagined! The ceremony was conducted on the Pier with sunny skies and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean below us. The entire Pier was shutdown for the ceremony! It was the most moving and beautiful ceremony and the location was absolutely perfect. Afterwards our guests stepped right inside the Pier House to kick off the Cocktail Hour and Reception. The room was absolutely stunning with candle light gleaming and casting a beautiful glow over the room. From every location in the room we could see the Ocean! The ambiance in the room was exactly what we had hoped for and our guests are still complimenting the beautiful setting! We booked the Pier House 18 months prior to the wedding and the last 6 months with COVID restrictions was very stressful. Miha Slegel was absolutely incredible to work with. She responded to all of our numerous emails, phone calls, and text messages with professionalism and genuine concern. Although we ultimately had to pare down the guest list to adhere to capacity limits, we were overjoyed that the wedding was able to take place. The entire staff did everything in their power to ensure our guests had a good time while remaining safe. The food - WOW! We did not have a chance to set up a tasting prior to the wedding so we decided to just trust that everything would be good. The food was more than good, it was excellent! Everything surpassed our expectations! Our guests are still talking about the Filet (cooked perfectly), Stuffed Shrimp, Crab Cakes and the array of appetizers that included delicious bacon wrapped scallops! I also want to acknowledge the Food and Beverage Manager, Will Browning for his exceptional service. Will and Miha also ensured that my daughter and her Bridal Party were served a delicious lunch while they were prepping for the big day! Every little detail that we requested was in place: gold chargers on the table, white linens, self service water stations, and other details. As the MOB, I am a stickler for details! The extra touches executed by the HGI team meant so much to me! The Bartender was very attentive and even made sure a bottle of Pinot Grigio was saved for me! For one perfect night, we were able to put the stresses of the world behind us and celebrate this beautiful occasion with family and friends. It was an evening that was filled with tears of joy and laughter and I can't thank Miha and her team enough! These folks know how to execute a dream wedding and genuinely love what they do! This destination wedding was everything we imagined and more! We had guests from MD, VA, NC and as far as Washington State! Meant To Be!!!
Jamie & Peggy at the Hilton Garden Inn were absolutely AMAZING! My (now) husband and I decided to move our wedding up 10 months, giving us about a month to plan, and then our original venue fell through a week and a half before our big day! Needless to say, we ended up exactly where we were supposed to be all along. The team and hotel were wonderful to work with. They were able to pull off our dream wedding with such short notice. Getting married on the beach right next to the pier was incredible. The ballroom was spectacular, the food was delicious, and it was definitely a night to remember (COVID restrictions and all!). We are so grateful for all of the work that they put in to our wedding and we could not have asked for a more perfect day. The Pierhouse at Kitty Hawk, NC, Hilton Gardens
Our daughter’s wedding came close to being one of Covid 19 victims. Originally scheduled for May 15, it had to be postponed to July 10. We all held our breath hoping it would even happen then. Our venue, The Pierhouse at Kitty Hawk (Hilton Gardens), and special events decorators, I doOBXWedding and Event.
With the change of date, also came changes in the way the event had to take place to make sure we all stayed within CDC guidelines. Social distancing, no buffets, masks and hand sanitizers all had to be provided. Miha Slegal, Sales manager at the Hilton Gardens and the head of food services, Will Browning, went above and beyond to make our event happen in such a way that our daughter would be thrilled with. Although we had to have the reception in the ballroom instead of the Pierhouse because of the 50% capacity regulations, as we originally wanted, the event was fantastic. The ballroom was breathtaking. The food was amazing! The Hilton staff was so helpful and accommodating. The room was beautifully decorated by I DoOBX, with draping and twinkle lights creating a magical ambiance. The ceremony was picture perfect on the Kitty Hawk Pier with the driftwood arch and chairs, also from IDoOBX.
I can’t speak highly enough of all the vendors that made our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding such a success. My daughter said it best, “it was perfect.” After the stress of the pandemic, the stress of re-arranging wedding plans and other personal setbacks, the wedding came off without a hitch.

Amazing and Beautiful
I cannot say enough about Jamie and the rest of the Hilton Staff. Jamie was there from the start, I'm sure I overwhelmed her with all my emails, but planning from New Jersey was not easy. Jamie was always on top of the emails, she answered quickly! She was there when we checked in at the hotel 2 days before the wedding to take all the favors and decoration I brought with us. Jamie is so great to work with, she's very professional and wants your wedding to be perfect! Having our wedding at the Hilton in Kitty Hawk was one of the best decisions we've made. We did not want the typical hotel wedding, so we opted to have our ceremony on the beach and the reception in the pier house. Our guest still cannot stop talking about how amazing the pier house reception was. We loved that we were allowed to walk out on the pier during the reception, it was absolutely perfect! We went with the buffet option and added the pasta station for our wedding, the food was amazing! From the appetizers, to the salad and then the main courses, we did not have a single complaint, everything was so delicious. Best of both worlds: ocean view and rustic pier house
My husband and I chose the Hilton Garden Inn Outer Banks/Kitty Hawk for our wedding reception because it was absolutely breathtaking and matched what we wanted for our reception with its 360-degree ocean view and rustic barn feel. Our guests kept commenting throughout the evening how unique the venue was and how it captured the best of both worlds. They also mentioned to us how nice it was being able to walk out onto the pier to see the ocean when they wanted to take a break from the dancing throughout the evening. Miha and her staff at the Hilton were wonderful to work with and were super helpful throughout the setup process and communicated well with our other vendors. The food was also good and our guests commented on how generous the portion sizes were for a wedding. -

Miha and the staff at the Pierhouse made my wedding experience better than I could have imagined. Being a Type A in control person I was very worried about having a destination wedding. My entire family lives on the east coast and I live on the west coast. After doing a lot of research I picked the pierhouse. They really do make it easy on you. Miha handled everything and was great at easing my nerves. She kept us on track of when we needed to schedule vendors and when we fell behind and started to panic is quickly calmed me down and gave me a list of great vendors. I didn’t have to lift a finger. We got the everlasting diamond package and it was worth every penny. I didn’t have to worry about hiring an extra vendor for centerpieces, the food was loved by everyone and the timing of the event was great! The best venue!
I don’t even know where to begin with how incredible this venue is!! From the very first email to Miha expressing my interest in the Kitty Hawk Pier House, her and her team were nothing short of amazing. Their responsiveness was remarkable and there was never a question unanswered. Our wedding ended up getting cancelled the first time around because of the hurricane which called for a mandatory evacuation. As you could imagine we were devastated and stressed beyond belief but with the help of Miha, we were able to quickly find another date that worked for everyone and our wedding day ended up being PERFECT!! We used the pier for our ceremony and the space was absolutely perfect for our wedding of 90 guests. The inside of the pier house looked like a dream when everything was set up and the staff did a wonderful job at incorporating my own decor that I dropped off the morning of. The reception went off without a hitch and the servers, bartender, and kitchen staff were incredibly professional and everyone was extremely pleased with the service. The entire day was absolute magic and I couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. Would 10/10 recommend this venue!!Hilton Garden Inn Outer Banks Kitty Hawk- Pier House's reply:

Everything was perfect
Miha and staff were awesome! She was very quick to respond to emails. She made planning a destination wedding very easy. On our wedding weekend we were able to have a rehearsal on the pier. The wedding went flawlessly. Miha was always checking in to make sure we didn’t need anything. The venue is beautiful and the pictures turned out fantastic! Another plus was during g the reception people were able to mingle on the pier as well as in the pier house. Many guests told us that this was the best wedding that they have ever been to. This venue is AMAZING! Very few decorations are needed, as they provide so much! Getting married out of town could be very stressful, but this venue takes away a lot of that stress!!! Ashley Sent on 06/25/2018I would recommend this venue for anyone planning a wedding in the Outer Banks. I loved every single minute of planning my wedding at the Kitty Hawk Pier. Miha is very good at making sure you do not worry at all on your wedding day. We had a blast and our family had an amazing time as well. The outer Banks has been a special place for me and my family and having my wedding there made it mean so much more. I can't even begin to describe how amazing our entire day was from start to finish! It was perfect!

Chelsea Sent on 04/23/2018Working with Miha and the HGI / Kitty Hawk Pier team was amazing right from the start. We began planning our wedding remotely from Chicago, and working with Miha since May 2017 for our March 24, 2018 wedding. Miha was very generous with her time to go over every detail with us from the beginning. Miha and the team accommodated us for a tasting when we were in town to view different venues. After seeing several, we both came back knowing our perfect venue was the Kitty Hawk Pier. Its charm and special atmosphere being OVER THE OCEAN was more than we could have dreamed. Throughout the almost year-long planning process, Miha kept us updated on work being done on the Pier with photos, emails, texts and phone calls. She completely put us at ease so we could focus on other planning. Miha was a great asset when trying to figure out what dishes to serve, and the General Manager, Sterling made our signature cocktail perfectly! The week leading up to our big day, Miha accepted packages for us and eased our minds with her calm-natured personality. The day of, although we had an outside planner (as a gift from my mother), Miha was there all day and it was clear she really loves what she does. That is probably why she is so great at her work! The Kitty Hawk Pier is an amazing venue, and conveniently located at the Hilton Garden Inn (our guests commented on how nice it was to have everything at 1 location). The Pier is rustic in style, yet kept up beautifully and the views are unparalleled. Working with Miha was icing on the cake, and we would do it all over again exactly the same! The Pierhouse looked beautiful!!! Thank you Miha!
