Amazing Experience
It was a pleasure to work with Hillary and her team for our wedding. Hillary was one of the first professionals we spoke to when we began the wedding planning process. We fell in love with her beautiful photography style. From the very first phone call, Hillary put us at ease and took the time to get to know us. She explained her process, discussed our needs, and gave us excellent guidance. We feel honored to have worked with Hillary and Taylor. Between our booking and the wedding, Hillary took time to check in with us and answer questions. She was available for scheduled calls and communicated promptly over email. She checked in to confirm all details and worked with other vendors with the upmost professionalism and composure. On the wedding day, Hillary and Taylor arrived and seamlessly began documenting all of the details we were hoping for. They took time to check in with us and we had a lot of fun following their direction. As someone who is not used to getting their photo taken, Hillary made us feel comfortable and gave us the direction we needed. She makes everyone feel beautiful. The Hillary Shedd team made our wedding day and the ability to look back on our special day an exceptional experience. Words cannot fully describe how happy we are with our photographs. Hillary is excellent! One of the most important vendors at your wedding is your photographer. The photographer captures the moments, memories, and all the little details – Hillary did it all and went above and beyond! She got to know us through video calls, questionaries, and an engagement session. She was very organized throughout the planning process and wedding day. One thing that a lot of people don’t think about is the timeline portion of receiving photos. Hillary has an amazing turnaround time for sneak peeks and the full gallery.
I highly recommend an engagement shoot with Hillary. It was my favorite part of the wedding planning process. It allowed us to be one on one with Hillary without the stress of the wedding festivities. We got to meet each other in-person, get comfortable in front of the camera as a couple with Hillary, take photos in more casual clothes, and share a lot of laughs along the way. We had our engagement shoot about four months before the wedding, which was perfect timing because it got us even more excited about the wedding when the photos came back.
My favorite parts about Hillary’s images are the timeless, classic, vibrant elegance in each photo. She balances the subjects without losing color in the background. She’s able to bring in light without making it feel overpowering in the photos. My family and friends loved the photos as well. Many of their comments included things like, “These pictures are fabulous!”, “Your photographer was the best I’ve ever seen!”, “Absolutely stunning photos!”
In summary, if you’re looking for a professional photographer that makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera, has a creative eye, captures the moments, memories, and all the little details, look no further than Hillary Shedd Photography! -

Hillary and Taylor are hands-down the best engagement and wedding photographers out there! We were picky and shopped around a lot. Hillary Shedd checked every box for us and then checked boxes we didn’t even know needed to be checked. They made every part of capturing our wedding both intimate and fun. Hillary and Taylor work so well together. They brought expertise and comfort in posing us in the right light, herded family members to the right places without disrupting anyone’s experience, and kept everything flowing during our hectic day. The resulting photos reflected how awesome Hillary and Taylor are at what they do. Hillary’s true-to-color editing style truly highlighted the details we wanted from our outdoor Colorado venue. Planning and communication was also easy. Hillary puts a lot of thought into the questions she asked us and really prepares to capture the moments that were going to be special to us. Without question, we can say we will cherish our photos forever. -

Above and beyond!
Hiring Hillary and Taylor to capture the best day of our lives was hands-down best decision we made in the wedding planning process. From the first call all the way up to receiving our full wedding gallery, the entire process was seamless, thoughtful, and engaging. They take care of things that you never thought you would need to think of to make your day go as smoothly as possible!
After using Hillary & Taylor for our engagement session, we knew we had made the right decision. We were nervous to be in front of the camera in such an intimate way, but Hillary has a way of soothing all your nerves as if she is someone you've known your whole life. She immediately calmed us with her kind demeanor and used the perfect cues to make us laugh, cry, and everything in between.
The quality of work from this dream team is impeccable, and I would recommend them 1000 times over to anyone getting married! They are incredibly fun, nice, talented, and went above and beyond for us! We are blown away by the photos we received and haven't been able to stop looking at them since! -

Hillary is everything you could ask for in a photographer - flexible, easy going, hard working, intuitive and of course extremely talented. We had her shoot our elopement at sunrise in Rocky Mountain National Park in August, and to say she went above and beyond is an understatement. She woke up at 3AM and drove into the mountains with us to be there at 5:30 as the sun rose to shoot our ceremony. She even dragged her husband out of bed for a secondary shot assistant! They were both great to work with, and provided more beautiful images than we ever could have imagined. The quality of the photos is the best I've ever seen, and there's no doubt that she's a true pro from start to finish. I am so glad we trusted Hillary with our big day, and would encourage everyone else to do the same. Thanks again Hillary! -

AMAZING, RELIABLE, & TALENTED
Working with Hillary was one of the best vendor decisions we made.
From the first moment I contacted her to the delivery of our photos, everything she did was very professional and personal.
We chose all of our wedding vendors based on who we vibed with and felt like we would enjoy spending the day with - you spend the most time with your wedding photographers!
We decided on Hillary about 10ish months before the wedding date & even before then, she was in contact with us to not only offer help with the overall timeline, but also in getting us excited for our big day.
Her level of communication was incredible leading up to the day and ultimately, she really want instrumental in the flow of the whole day even with having a month of/day of coordinator.
Let's talk about the pictures....
Wow wow wow! We chose Hillary Shedd Photography because of her true color/natural style photos. We wanted timeless photos that we'd love for years to come. She really listened to what we wanted in wedding photos and gave us the most raw, real moment photos of our closest friends, family, and overall our best day ever.
We'd recommend Hillary a million times and are so grateful for everything she did to capture our day! -

Look no further!
If I could give Hillary 15 stars I would. She and her assistant Ashley (her husband usually shoots second with her but was unable to make it on our day - Ashley filled in and was fabulous!) were invaluable in documenting our day. With a photographer being such an important part of the wedding budget, I spent hours researching Colorado photographers and interviewing potential vendors on the phone (sounds Type A, I know). When I saw how beautiful Hillary's photos were online, I was interested. When we got to speak with her on the phone before signing a contract, I was convinced we would be making the right choice by choosing her to photograph our day. She shot both our engagement session and our wedding, and did a PHENOMENAL job. The photos are fabulous, and are so special to have to be able to look back at our wedding day in the future. Hillary is very organized and communicates throughout the whole process (from contract signing to photo reveal after the wedding!), the site she uses to share the photo galleries with us are very user-friendly, and she sticks to deadlines. Hillary brought such a light and easy going presence to our day that otherwise was pretty hectic (but perfect!), and the whole time was capturing every moment. I would absolutely recommend Hillary as a photographer to anyone looking for someone to document their big day - look no further! -

We are so thankful for Hillary and Taylor! They exceeded all of our expectations and made our wedding day so special. We wanted our wedding photos to be color-forward and candid. Hillary shot our engagement photos as well as provided 10-hour coverage on our wedding day. Hillary is an expert and provided us with so many tips to get ready for the big day. Hillary made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Hillary and Taylor made our day run seamlessly by keeping us on schedule, making sure we got all of our shot list pictures, and perfectly capturing our love and our wedding day. Hillary was so easy and fun to work with that after our engagement session with her, we didn't hesitate to book her for our fall 2021 wedding! She was warm and kind and even though we're not the most comfortable in front of the camera, my fiance and I felt like we were just hanging out with a friend instead of posing for photos. Our photos were returned promptly (even though Hillary had a newborn at home!), and we were so impressed by how many photos we got from our two hour session with her. Our photos far surpassed our expectations; Hillary did a wonderful job of capturing our genuine joy, love, and friendship, while also perfectly capturing the beauty of our state, which was really important to my fiance and I. Most importantly, our dog loved her, and Hillary was able to capture some truly adorable photos with her, too. We can't recommend her enough, and we are so excited to have her be a part of our wedding day! -

I honestly don't know where to start. Hillary has been an absolute dream to work with. From our intro call to seeing our engagement photos today she has gone far above and beyond in providing high quality work and she is an absolute blast to work with. I'm honestly bummed we don't get to see her more often! She and her husband put on our engagement shoot at Piney River Ranch in Vail, CO with their 3 week old daughter and it truly felt like we were hanging out with our buddies we've known for years. We truly could not be happier with our photos and cannot wait for our wedding to hang out with her and her husband again! Another really wonderful thing about working with Hillary is she really knows how to capture a couple in their "element". My fiancé and I consider ourselves introverted extroverts and Hillary created a space where we felt comfortable being ourselves without being over posed. Our photos truly represent who we are as a couple and that in itself is special to us. Her editing is so natural. She made me feel absolutely stunning which was just the cherry on top. Hillary was wonderful to work with! My fiance and I found Hillary via Facebook and booked an engagement photoshoot for July of 2020. Our experience with Hillary was comfortable, positive, and relaxed. We are so in love with our engagement photos, and literally cannot stop looking at them. We are very grateful we found Hillary and cannot wait to work with her for our Wedding day this year.
I was apprehensive about taking engagement photos because I felt they could potentially be corny or awkward, but Hillary is such a professional and makes you feel so comfortable. Her guidance throughout the engagement session and her reassuring energy allowed my fiance and I to relax and have fun with the shoot ultimately leading to the best photos.

Hillary is absolutely amazing! We connected with her from the very first conversation. We booked her for our engagement photos and our wedding, and we are SO happy that we did! Her demeanor is so warm and calming! Every time we talked to her it was like our wedding stress just melted away! She became so much more than just our photographer. She knows every in and out there is to know about weddings and is more than happy to share tips, tricks, advice, and insight (she even gave us a sample day-of timeline that was a life saver), and she makes herself extremely available to answer any questions that we had. My husband and I are both fairly camera shy, and she made us feel so comfortable and at ease. She was able to effortlessly capture our relationship on such a genuine way during both our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. Obviously with all that talent, our pictures turned out GORGEOUS!!! Her and Taylor are a wonderful team who will celebrate your love with you throughout the entire journey. The love that they have for their craft shines through in the photos that they take. They prioritize your wants and needs and take extra care to capture your most important moments. We are so happy that we hired Hillary and her husband Taylor as our wedding photographers. Hillary was thoughtful, professional, organized, and calm throughout the whole process. She really listened to us on the aspects of our wedding that were most important to us and made sure to capture those unique aspects of our wedding. On the day of the wedding Hillary’s calm and friendly demeanor helped us relax and enjoy the day. On top of all of this we love our wedding photos! They are beautiful and capture so many special moments. I recommend Hillary to all my friends getting married in Colorado! -

Flexible, fun, energetic, and thoughtful engagement shoot
We won an engagement session through a giveaway on Hillary's Instagram shortly after getting engaged. She was super pregnant at the time so we decided to wait a few months for winter so we could capture some snowy photos. She was excellent to work with! She coordinated with us to make one of our favorite locations work with her new baby's schedule and our photos turned out amazing. We had decided to elope in the interim and had been married for 4 months by the time we met for our engagement photos, but she made the day feel so special for us and we can't thank her enough. She was thoughtful and fun, and up for a really cold and early walk trudging through the snow to get a gorgeous snowy mountain backdrop. We had so much fun and felt like we could really be ourselves. We're so happy we met her and definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a quality human behind the camera who also produces insane quality photos. We had our full album in a little less than 2 weeks and are SO happy that she captured us and our personalities perfectly. Thanks, Hillary! -
