Perfectly Captured Our Special Day!

Liz and Christine were so easy and great to work with. They made us feel super comfortable and we actually enjoyed having our photos taken. Liz was super helpful in creating a timeline for us for the day to ensure we got all the photos that we wished to have. This included couple shots, group shots, family photos, detail shots, etc. The photos that we received are all amazing and we couldn't have asked for anything more. I highly recommend Heirloom Collective!

We had a wonderful experience with Heirloom Collective photography! We got married in New Orleans (groom's home town), but were living in Raleigh, NC before the wedding. We met with Liz in Raleigh to discuss logistics beforehand and everything went super smooth on the day of! They were really friendly and fun to work with and we are super happy with the quality of all the photos! :)

We are in LOVE with our photos!!! Thanks to Liz from Heirloom Collective, we have our destination wedding weekend captured in just the perfect way. Liz was so easy to work with (the entire family loves her), which makes everyone able to relax for those happy pictures. The style is very organic and natural, but she also gives you some directions as we ladies all know we need a little help to get that perfect angle!

We never had any issue with communications even through we live in New York City and the wedding takes place in New Orleans. Liz was very responsive and give us timeline expectations, even send me a reminder email a month before for any photo requests like particular group combination settings. On the special day, Liz was on time, professional with everyone involved, got great pictures of the outdoor setting, the band, the flowers, the guests, no details escaped her lenses! When we look back at our photos, we were not sure what to expect, but there were so many good shots!! The photos were great with high resolutions and we receive them within the promised time frame. Most of all, there is like a story-telling to Liz's photo that you follow the pictures, re-experience all the emotions, the day, and you arrive at that special moment that she was able to captured right there for you to relive again. It was such a special treat and Liz is so talented.

We love Liz so much that we hired her again for our honeymoon!!! Perhaps our 10th Anniversary next?! - stay tuned!

The team at Heirloom Collective is second to none. Our photos came out so beautifully. We cannot recommend them enough. The only advice to give to any couple considering Heirloom Collective as their photographer is: Do it! Liz and Kerry were amazing. They gave us a beautiful set of pictures that are professional, personal, and truly embody the beauty and fun of our wedding. They clearly have an eye for making good wedding pictures, with a perfect balance between people and setting, posed and candid, getting ready and cutting the rug. We feel so fortunate to have all aspects of our wedding caught in pictures.

Probably what I appreciate the most about Heirloom Collective, and makes me feel even more attached to our photos, is the personal touch that they brought, and their intent on capturing the day without pulling our attention away from the day. They were organized, requesting from Amanda and I a list of family photos prior to the wedding, thereby freeing up valuable time we spent enjoying our guests. And, one person was with each of the bride and groom prior to the ceremony. Kerry and Liz’s personalities are fun, personable, and funny, which added to the gaiety, and gives us a very special timeline of the whole day in pictures. Although they were there to photograph our wedding, Heirloom Collective felt more like guests to us than vendors.

Heirloom Collective exceeded our expectations. We can't express enough how thrilled we are with our wedding photos. Liz was so easy to work with. Whether you are someone who enjoys getting their picture taken or does not, Liz will have you feeling at ease and will make the experience fun and memorable. When we received our wedding photos through the online gallery we were amazed and ecstatic about the variety of shots that had been taken and what we had to choose from. The last thing we wanted was for our wedding day to be over and disappointed that it was not captured how we had imagined. Heirloom Collective captured it perfectly! Don't feel unsure about booking Heirloom Collective, just do it, you will not be disappointed.

Liz and Kerry were absolutely wonderful to work with, and I highly recommend Heirloom Collective due to their talent and professionalism. My husband and I decided to elope in New Orleans, and one of the most daunting tasks in planning our wedding was finding a photographer we could trust in a city we were unfamiliar with. Since it was just the two of us, it was incredibly important to have photographs to share with everyone who was unable to attend.

Right away, Liz's first response to our inquiry made it clear that out of all the variables in planning an elopement, Heirloom Collective would ensure that capturing every moment via photograph would be the last thing we needed to worry about. She took the time to touch base with us prior to the big day to get to know our plans and understand the art direction that we wanted to take in visually preserving the memories. She was incredibly kind and professional and always replied in a prompt manner. On the day of our wedding, she and Kerry met with us 30 minutes before the ceremony and walked with us to the venue, where they both photographed the exchanging of our vows and the signing of the certificate as well as some detail shots of the venue, which was pretty unique. Since it was just the two of us, they took us on a walking tour of their favorite backdrops in the French Quarter and gave us cues to help them capture elegant and natural poses.

Liz contacted me two weeks later to let me know that the photographs were ready, and gave us access to the online gallery through which we could order prints of any of the 300+ photographs, and also included 15 free digital downloads of our favorites. The next day, she uploaded a gallery of photographs to both the Heirloom Collective Facebook page and blog that we could easily share with family and friends. This was all included in the elopement package, which is the smallest package they offer; from what I understand, their other packages offer even more options and perks.

Kerry of Heirloom was the best ever - creative, calm, a total pleasure to work with, as was her whole team! She had great ideas of shots, angles, venues - and they were extremely flexible! The planned venue for pre-wedding photos fell through, and she came up QUICKLY with fantastic choices - even better than the original! Hire Heirloom!!!

My husband, Todd and I feel so thankful to work with the team at Heirloom Collective. We will continue to hire them for all of our important life occasions. They have always been very attentive and heartfelt in working together. Heirloom Collective first captured our engagement photos in December 2014, and they were the first vendor we hired to document our wedding in February 2016. It is clear the team at Heirloom Collective appreciates their role in photographing fine details and the general emotion of life. Todd and I continue to look back on our gallery collections, and we identify with new favorite images each time. There are few words to describe the high level of satisfaction we feel in working with Heirloom Collective... we feel most compelled to thank them a million times over. Todd and I appreciate their Heirloom Collective's time and talent in showing us life through their lens. Aside from sharing our vows in the company of loved ones, investing in Heirloom Collective was the most rewarding decision we made for our wedding.

One word - Amazing. Heirloom Collective made coordinating from a different state so easy. Kerry was in constant contact with me and answered any questions that I had up until the event. She sent two photographers for my intimate wedding - Edmund and Misty - and I couldn't have been happier. They worked great together, were very professional, and were able to capture all of our special moments. I highly recommend them! We even went down to the river to take some photos. Their ideas gave us some one of a kind wedding pictures! Thank you!

The Heirloom team is INCREDIBLE!! Kerry has a great eye and style all her own that we fell in love with as soon as we saw her site. We live in LA and got married in New Orleans and we looked at SO many photographers before stumbling upon Kerry. We had a small wedding at a house and we tried to keep our budget low, but photos and food were the two places we splurged; and Kerry was worth every penny! I honestly can't say enough great things about her and her team, but here's a start. . . she made the whole process very easy which I appreciated since we were planning from LA, her prices are very reasonable, we liked the option of getting a USB of all the photos rather than having to buy certain ones after the fact, and her photos are GORGEOUS. Oh if you're like us, we don't enjoy being in front of a camera, but she's so easy going and sweet that she made the whole thing super easy. Bottom line, if you need a photographer, Kerry and Heirloom should be your first choice.

Kerry was amazing. Everything from her laid-back approach, enthusiastic energy and artful eye, she was the best photographer to work with on one of the most important (and stressful) days of your life. She communicates, she's dependable and the beautiful photographs she shot make her incredible. We'll certainly be back to Kerry for more shoots and will treasure the photographs from our wedding forever!

We planned our wedding from across the country and were unable to meet until about 15 minutes before the ceremony! Liz was wonderful. It didn't take long at all for her to figure out the vibe we were going for. I think the one thing I mentioned was I wanted "all the colors" and she totally nailed it! She really took care of us; bringing us water and beer, and really listening to the shots we wanted. She could tell when we were starting to get fidgety with the portraits and moved seemlessly into unobtrusive journalistic style. The photos turned out great, we are very happy that we will be able to cherish them for years to come!

Kerry was so amazing. At our first meeting I knew we clicked and she understood what I wanted. The day of the weeding she and Liz made it very comfortable and easy to pose for pictures. The pictures turned out amazing and I cannot wait to work with her in the future.

It was such a pleasure to work with Kerry! She quickly responded to all of my emails in the planning process, and was so flexible even while I was figuring out all of the details. The day of the wedding, Kerry arrived to the wedding early to plan special shots for me and to capture details before anyone arrived. Throughout all of the events, she seemed to be in a million places at once, photographing every moment of my day. Her professionalism and promptness with every aspect though the whole process has impressed me so very much. I'd recommend her to anyone. Thanks again!!!

Kerry was amazing. She understood exactly what we wanted and took the perfect pictures to capture our day. We loved her style and her suggestions. Because of the quality and quantity of pictures that Kerry shot, we were able to see pieces of our wedding that we missed in the moment. If I could give 10 out of 5 I would. Kerry and Denny are amazing people and phenomenal photographers!!! They were so easy to work with and had brilliant staging ideas for our photos. Everyone that sees our photos says that they are the best photos they have ever seen. Our wedding day photos look like they belong in a magazine.

I would hire her for every life event I have. I wish they were closer to Virginia, which is where we live. We got married in NOLA and had to do all of our hiring by phone and email. It was a little scary not meeting anyone in person. I loved Kerry before I met her and felt like I got to know her with photos. She was really great and agreed to met us by facetime to discuss our plans. Her ideas were spectacular and suggestions about time of day and lighting were spot on.

Anyone that goes with a different photographer would be losing out on a great experience and the most beautiful photos which perfectly capture the brilliance of the special day.

Heirloom Collective is hands down the best vendor of my wedding! Kerry is amazing. She’s warm and professional and I loved corresponding with her. I worked with Denny the actual day of my wedding and he is just perfect. I probably would donate an organ or two to these people. But seriously, I was really nervous about having a camera on me all day but Denny was nonintrusive and has a calming nature about him. I was not expecting how great these pictures turned out and how he captured my day. Without a doubt, I will travel to New Orleans (2.5 hours) when it’s time for maternity, family pictures, etc. Thank you Kerry & Denny!

My fiancee and I took engagement pictures for the first time and this was one of the best moments of the whole wedding process! Kerry took great care of us and worked with exactly what we wanted and the pictures came out amazingly wonderful. I had no prior knowledge of her before suring the web for some awesome southern photos, but I am so pleased to have worked with her. I am a Cali girl marrying a southern gentleman and it was all captured beautifully. What a blessing!

I LOVED my wedding photographers, Kerry and Denny from Heirloom Collective. They are professional, easygoing, accessible, and most importantly they are insanely talented. I did a ton of research on wedding photographers and am thrilled that I chose them for our wedding. They also did our engagement shots. They were super prepared, had a schedule they stuck to but were flexible to our ideas as well as bringing loads of creativity to the table. Choosing a photographer was one of the most important decisions for me in booking vendors, I knew it was a priority for me to really love the photos. They did not disappoint. Having these memories captured in such quality photographs is priceless! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants gorgeous photos and a great interaction with their photographer. I can't thank Kerry and Denny enough!

Kerry and Liz did an unbelievable job photographing our wedding. The combination of family shots and candid photos was perfect! Kerry and Liz captured parts of the wedding and the reception that we would not have experienced otherwise. They were both professional and outgoing, and we highly recommend this duo for any event you wish to document. The product we received was worth every penny. Kerry and Liz rock! When deciding on a photographer to shoot our wedding, we looked at several photographers' work and decided Kerry's was the most stunning, displaying a sharp eye for detail. We were so pleased that she was available to work for us and we could not be happier with the photos she sent us! They are truly works of art. Kerry told us she has long worked as a professional photographer, shooting events all over the world, and I think this is what makes her a much better choice than photographers who only shoot in studios or take photos as a hobby. Her photos are worth their weight in gold!!! Believe me, the day will pass so quickly, you need someone who knows what they are doing! Plus, she is sweet and so easy to work with. Kerry is the BEST.

Heirloom Collective went above and beyond to make sure every moment was captured on our big day! Kerry and Denny were available to answer questions via phone or email and were very open to collaboration on how we wanted our day captured. Having two photographers made all the difference in catching every moment- some we didn't even see on the actual day! I can't recommend Heirloom enough!

I was so thankful to have Kerry and Danny on the day of my wedding. They captured every single precious moment and did it all with the biggest smile on their faces. I spent a few days researching photographers in the New Orleans/Baton Rouge area and without a doubt they are some of the best New Orleans and Baton Rouge has to offer. Everyone has commented on how beautiful my photos are and I have had countless people ask me who my photographer was. Kerry and Danny work as a TEAM! With both of them, they never missed a beat. They were in the middle of the dance floor capturing everyone having a blast and up close and personal when it was time to be. When it was time for Michael and I to do our photos before the ceremony, Kerry made sure we posed perfectly while Danny was capturing the candid moments happening between Michael and I. I truly cannot say enough about Joie du Jour Photography. They truly exceeded my expectations and it was worth every single penny spent. AND that is something I can't say about all my vendors.

Kerry was really wonderful to work with during our wedding. I felt like she recognized how stressful the day was for us and made herself pretty invisible, only asking a few times if there were any specific moments or items we wanted her to capture. We trusted her completely, after she did our amazing engagement photos, and basically left the wedding up to her. We were so glad we did, because we came away from our special day with hundreds of photographs of both formal and candid moments. There were specific shots that blew us away because she had captured our loved ones so well, whether it was my sister (who tends to be anxious) rubbing sunscreen all over her son's face in preparation for the ceremony, or charlie's parents laughing during a dance. I can't tell you how great it was not to have the same old photos that everyone gets taken on their wedding day, ours are so unique and specifically tailored to us and our style. I really couldn't say more great things about our experience.

I feel so thankful to have had Kerry and Denny from Joie du Jour shoot my engagement photos and wedding. First of all, Kerry is extremely responsive, easy to get in touch with, and professional. She listened our engagement photo ideas and scouted out the perfect location. Not only did Kerry and Denny make our engagement photo experience relaxed and fun - but our photos are beautiful! Oh the day of the wedding, Kerry stayed with the ladies while we were getting ready and Denny hung with the guys. My husband echoed previous reviewers who stated that Denny was super laid-back and blended right in! The pictures of the guys getting ready are some of our favorites from the bunch. The photos from our wedding are absolutely stunning. Kerry and Denny are super creative and seemed to capture everything - they did not miss a moment. My experience with Joie du Jour could not have been any better!

I was married in Minnesota, but knew Kerry and Denny from my schooling in Louisiana. My worries about the added expense of airfare and accommodations were unfounded. They are totally worth every penny. I have nothing to sing but praise and acclamations about their work. They were fun, artistic, professional and creative. They thoroughly captured the emotions of the greatest day of my life- I have never felt as beautiful as I did in their photographs- nor looked as happy- it was magic. I have a younger sister who is getting married in Mexico and although photographers are included with the package- I am wholeheartedly encouraging her to use Kerry and Denny. My finace and I live in Oklahoma. However, we planned to have our engagement pictures taken in New Orleans during a vacation, since he is from Louisiana. After researching information on every photographer in the area, we chose Joie du Jour. We could not have been happier with our decision. Kerry & Denny were wonderful to work with, and our pictures turned out amazing! They both had such creative ideas for our pictures, and they turned out so natural. We had no time limit to our session. Kerry & Denny worked as long as they needed to ensure our pictures were perfect. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer in this area.

I Loved my photographer, Denny Culbert, he did actually want i wanted. I enjoy more freelance photography instead of posed pictures and that's exactly what i got. My Pictures turned out to be better then I thought I wanted!!!!

Our photographer, Denny Culbert, was everything that I didn't know I wanted in a wedding day photographer. He was calm, relaxed, flexible and like a NINJA! Never did I feel we were being too posed or unnatural. During the reception I didn't even know he was capturing what he captured... which allowed for natural beauty in all of the pictures. Truly, his photography was art, functional art, art that I can appreciate for many many years, art that captured the essence of the people and the love that was present at our wedding. He is worth his weight in gold.

I, myself, am a photojournalist. So I knew when it came to choosing a wedding photographer my expectations would be high. Great photography was definitely a top priority in our wedding planning. I must say, we made the perfect choice. Kerry and Denny are a joy to work with. The day of the wedding they were great, they adapted with us when the ceremony was delayed for weather, and they pitched in to help whenever we needed it. They are both true professionals, and they worked so hard. I don't think they missed a moment! And then there are the photos. Absolutely gorgeous! I am so happy with our wedding photos. They did a wonderful job, telling the story of our wedding, the joy, the love, the rain. I chose Joie du Jour because I knew they would go far beyond traditional, and often repetitive, group shots. And I was not disappointed. They made beautiful and unique photos that show their obvious talent. Convincing us to kick off our shoes and wade in a small creek so some of my favorite photos from the day. Kerry jumped in with us, climbing high and low to get the perfect shot, and making us laugh the whole time. Kerry and Denny went above and beyond for us, and I cannot thank them enough. I'm in love with our photos, and so are our family and friends. Thank you guys!

Dayton and I were married in New Orleans in May. After seeing Kerry’s beautiful and photojournalistic style, we definitely wanted Joie du Jour Photography. We really wanted photos of those candid and special moments rather than tons of staged photos (though we did a few for the fam and they were lovely).

Dayton and I couldn’t have been happier with Kerry and Denny’s work. Their impromptu shots were by far the best. Denny’s photos of the groomsmen on the trolley tracks were like a scene out of ‘Reservoir Dogs’. I loved Kerry’s dancing shots of our friends and family cajuning it out to the Pine Leaf Boys at the reception. The other great idea that they brought along to the reception was the Photo Booth, where friends and family could take their own crazy photos. Some of them are hilarious!

Prior to the wedding Kerry took our engagement photos around the French Quarter in New Orleans. These are some of my favorites because they capture the sunny, but interestingly gritty feel of New Orleans. In about an hour, we had shots all over the Quarter on Royal Street, Jackson Square, in front of Lafitte’s and a few perfect candid photos with the ‘Rose Lady.’

On a personal note, I appreciated how friendly, but professional Kerry and Denny were throughout the day. Both are very down-to-earth, flexible and helpful. Thank you, Kerry and Denny! We really couldn’t have been happier.

As Mother of the Bride, I was so happy that my daughter Jordan engaged Kerry's services as soon as she found out she was back in Louisiana. She is one of the best photographers - ever - and has found quite a niche in wedding photography.

The engagement photo shoot in the French Quarter turned out so many perfectly creative pictures that we had to make an album of all of them. Kerry can find just the right light for each shot. And what can I say about the pictures on the special day! Everyone from this MOB to the flower girls to the groomsmen walking along the streetcar tracks looked wonderful. Because Dayton is in the Australian Army, he brought his ceremonial sword and Kerry got the best shot of them cutting the cake with it. That, and all the other reception photos, are amazing.

Congratulations Kerry on your very professional business and easy going demeanor. You kept us all at ease.

Let me start off by saying that I am a professional photographer. So you can imagine that I am very particular about everything photographic.

My wife and I were married in October in Nashville, Tn. We had plenty of options of local photographers to choose from and looked at more than a few portfolios, but after looking at joiedujourphotography and seeing the type of work she can do, we were hooked and decided to bring Kerry up from New Orleans.

She had the perfect amount of presents at the wedding ceremony. You knew she was there capturing all the great moments that you hope to have on your wedding day, but relaxed enough that I never thought she was in my face. Kerry was more than accommodating and a pleasure to work with.

We got our pictures back to us quicker that we had expected. She also added a nice touch by the way she packaged and delivered everything.

She was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend her to my family and closest friends.

Kerry and Denny captured all the important moments of our wedding, as well as shooting fun pictures of our family and friends. All of the photos came out great -- professional editing, a good variety of styles, includuing spontaeous shots and posed ones. Kerry was easy to work with, responding to questions quickly. On the day of the wedding, she was a nice, calm presence -- she got all the photos we wanted without us having to ask for anything.

We had two photographers from Joie du Jour come photograph our wedding. They came to our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding to get a feel for the locale. Kerry and Denny were very professional and easy to work with. On our wedding day Kerry spent the day with me photographing my preparations for the ceremony. She was fun and easy to get along with, she blended in well with my family and friends so it was easy to forget she was around. Denny spent the day with my husband. He became one of the guys, entertaining people and putting them at ease, while remaining unobtrusive. During the ceremony they covered different angles while remaining out of the way. We had our family portraits immediately after the ceremony. They we very patient with us while we put together about a hundred different variations of different groups of people to photograph. During the reception they set up a photobooth where our guests could get their pictures taken. It was a huge hit and everyone love it. We were eager to see the pictures after the wedding and we did not have to wait long. Words cannot come close to describing the beauty and quality of the photographs. They did a fantastic job of capturing the essence of our wedding day. They also put together a gorgeous photobook for us that had me crying with remembered emotions from our wedding day. They uploaded the pictures to a website so family and friends that could not make it to the wedding (and those that did) could enjoy the photographs as well. Having Joie du Jour photography capture our wedding day was one of the best decisions I have ever made (second to choosing to marry my husband :) ) and I would make the choice again in a heartbeat.

My fiance and I went with Kerry to Audubon park and Oak Street to snap a few engagement pictures. She knew exactly the right time of day to go for the best lighting, and was great in allowing us to be natural so she could capture just the right moments between us. We are so proud of the photos that Kerry carefully edited for us in both color and black and white so that we could choose which we prefer. As soon as we received the pictures, they went into frames right away and are now displayed everywhere in our home. I hope we have another opportunity down the road to work with kerry again! Kerry is simply the best, from her professionalism to her creativity - and she's just fun and stress free to be around!

Perfection. Absolute perfection. There is no one else I could imagine photographing my wedding and making me feel so unbelievably comfortable. As a professional myself, know those words are a huge compliment because I am extremely judgmental and I despise having my photo taken... but good lord I look like a goddess in my photos and cried through the entire take.... don't think twice. Kerry with Heirloom Collective was one of the most laid-back vendors we worked with, but we trusted her from the beginning to execute on everything perfectly. Working with Kerry felt like having a friend on the team more than a "vendor." Also, her turnaround time was just a shade over 3 weeks -- I hear this is excellent for a wedding photographer! She's a great communicator and extremely open to feedback even after the checks are written and the final edits of the photos sent -- she happily tweaked the digital files on a couple of the photos after the fact.

My only feedback for brides working with Kerry would be to make sure not to overlook explaining to her what to focus on during the reception -- posed or candid shots of certain friends or relatives, focus on certain moments of the reception other than the obvious ones (first dance, cake cutting), certain decor elements. The photos of the ceremony, the posed group shots, and overall reception ambiance were perfection! (And she did a great job of picking the photos for the final edit in which my husband and I look our absolute best.)

Kerry was absolutely wonderful to work with. She provided suggestions when needed, but otherwise let us go about our business without giving much thought to poses, etc. Her photographs turned out beautifully--natural but ethereal and great candid shots of our guests and family members. I highly recommend Heirloom Collective.
