Best Hair & Makeup Team in Arizona!

I’ve been in over 10 weddings, and I can honestly say this is the best my hair and makeup has ever looked! The HVH Beauty team absolutely blew me away during my trial and on my wedding day. Not only did I feel beautiful, but every single person in my wedding party looked phenomenal - and they all said the same thing: it was the best their hair and makeup had ever looked, too! Additionally, my mother-in-law, typically can’t wear false lashes due to irritation and for the first time ever, she was able to wear lashes comfortably all day with no irritation at all.

Both artists did an outstanding job. My look held up perfectly all day and night, even in the 100+ degree Arizona heat. I truly can’t recommend HVH enough to any bride looking for a talented, professional, and thoughtful hair and makeup team. They made me feel like the best version of myself and added so much joy to our day!

Best decision

Booking HVH Faces was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. Heather and her team are incredible! My hair and makeup was flawless. Every single one of my girls adored the way their hair and makeup turned out as well! They are well worth the investment and deliver the quality that is promised from day one. I also appreciated their professionalism and timeliness. They made sure we were all done and finished with touch-ups well in advance. Would hire them again in a heartbeat!

The best in the business

Heather has been THE makeup artist for all my best friends weddings since 2019 and she NEVER MISSES. Heather was the first vendor I booked once I had my date locked in because I knew that no one else would be able to deliver the quality that is Heather’s standard. She is professional, timely, and looks out for the bride's best interests in regards to the cohesiveness of photos and bridesmaids overall look, which I was so appreciative of.

When I told Heather I wanted to try a red lip for my rehearsal dinner, something I’ve never done before and a look that was a complete 180 from my wedding day look, she encouraged me to go for it and knocked it out of the park! I looked flawless and was so sad to remove my makeup at the end of the night. My wedding makeup was no different, I felt so confident on my wedding day and my makeup made me feel like a bride. I swear I did not have pores on my wedding day and my cheekbones were out of this world. I could not have been more satisfied with my makeup on both days.

Of course, my two wonderful hair artists also helped complete the visions! Rebeka took my thin straight hair and made it look so beautiful and full in an elegant updo that lasted through the wedding, the reception, and the after party! Lindsey, who did my rehearsal look, created stunning Hollywood glam curls that were perfect for the occasion. I am so obsessed with both looks and will be in love with these photos forever!

The rest of Heather’s team was so kind and professional while making the women in my life look stunning and feeling their absolute best! They also worked magic with the flower girls who were not completely convinced that they wanted to get their hair done. We had a total of 5 artists helping the 15 of us get ready in time for the wedding!

The TDLR version is that I cannot recommend this team more highly and you will be in the best hands possible with HVH!

If you want to look flawless, you need HVH

I think out of all the vendors that I hired, I was the most nervous about hiring H&MU. After all, that decision was going to dictate how I looked on my wedding day. But man, oh man, did I make the best decision that I could have.

Heather and Rebekah were UNREAL. Aside from the fact that they made me look flawless, they are so fun and hilarious and I want to be friends with them IRL. It's so important to have great energy and vibes on your wedding day and they deliver.

I looked amazing. My bridesmaids couldn't stop talking about how beautiful they looked. We were all more than impressed with the level of service.

Stop second guessing and hire HVH ASAP. You absolutely won't regret it.

I have never felt prettier!

For our wedding we had Gabby and Rebekah provide hair and makeup services. It felt like we were hanging with friends the entire time and on top of that, everyone’s makeup and hair was AMAZING!! You NEED to book HVH!

If you want the morning of your wedding to be a dream, stick to your schedule and feel the most beautiful you've ever felt, then you NEED to hire HVH! I had a bridal party of 10 (7 bridesmaids, 2 moms & bride) and Heather and her team did an absolutely phenomenal job.
Not only did everyone love how they looked, but the team was so fun to hang out with the morning of my wedding.
While I was in the midst of trying to decide who I wanted to do our hair and makeup, I reached out to several well known companies throughout the valley. What blew me away about HVH was the level of professionalism that I received as soon as I reached out to them. They were prompt in responding, professional, and made it so easy to work with them. When I told my planner who we booked for hair and make up, her response was, "Oh thank goodness, I don't have to worry about our timeline with HVH because they always stay on schedule."
Heather, Rebekah, Sydnee, and Gabby are so incredibly talented and every one of my bridesmaids and both moms absolutely loved their hair and makeup. They more than worth every penny and I'd highly, highly recommend them.

Perfect Glam Squad

I got engaged in early 2021 and started researching beauty groups for my big day (11/11/22) in the summer of 2021 because I knew I needed the best. I booked Chelsea for hair and Gabby for make up and by far the best decision. They are top notch artists who are extremely talented and provide exceptional work. getting glammed up was one of the best parts of the day

HVH Hair & Makeup was our first choice for a hair/makeup team. Not only did they come highly recommended to us, but they also are such an established company that we knew we would be able to get all of the services we needed. We had a huge bridal party (16 bridesmaids huge) so in total, with a flower girl and a mom, there were 20 people getting hair and makeup services. We had a schedule for the day, with hair and makeup needing to be done for everyone by 3pm so that we could start photos before the ceremony, and the team had absolutely no problem completing that. When I told Heather our ceremony time, she was able to get back to me with the time that services should be done by. She was very detailed in the scheduling, sending a questionnaire asking what people's hair is like (i.e. curly, extremely long or extremely short, etc.) in order to schedule appropriately. For those of us that received blowout services in addition to a regular hair style (additional cost) we were scheduled at the beginning of the morning so that we were able to shower and have our hair done without sitting around and showering mid-day. The requirements/instructions were extremely clear beforehand in terms of how to prep our hair and skin for the best execution of services and our artists did not disappoint. The two master artists we had were Tatum (makeup) and Chelsea (hair) and they were both amazing. Our additional artists split up between my room and my wife's room were Alvin (makeup), Sydnee (makeup), Lindsey (Hair), and Rebekah (hair). HVH is Fantastic!!

Never Felt More Beautiful

Heather and her team are true miracle workers! After having to reschedule my wedding multiple times because of COVID, Heather was incredibly accommodating and was able to take me and my wedding party on my new date! She truly listened and took the time to understand what I envisioned looking like on my wedding day and delivered beyond my imagination. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day I and I owe that all to Heather and her team! They were on time and incredibly efficient during the day itself leaving us with extra time to spare during the getting ready process so we could relax and enjoy everything! All of my girls told me it was the best hair and make-up experience they’ve ever had, and I couldn’t agree or recommend HVH more!

Heather and Team were great to work with and made getting ready for my big day so much easier. For someone who doesn't wear makeup often they were able to find a perfect balance of makeup that looked gorgeous in photos while making me fell like myself. Glamsquad of the Century

One of the tried and true lessons of wedding planning is to curate a team of experts, invest time in getting to know each other, and trust the vision ❤️

Now I LOVE hair and makeup. I have had my hair and makeup done hundreds of times for different events and picking a wedding beauty vendor was at the very top of my list.

Our wedding planners knew how important it was that my bridal party felt their most beautiful (and I felt my fiercest) and there was only one vendor who was the perfect fit — HVH.

The moment I met Heather and Sydnee, I knew I had found my people. They were warm, funny, and experts at their craft. We had a trial on my birthday and we spent the afternoon together laughing and getting to know each other. I felt heard, I felt seen, I felt beautiful. From the first meeting, they had my complete trust. Over the following months, I would send Heather questions and inspo pics and she always replied thoughtfully (infused with her classic wit). As we got closer to the wedding, she was my fairy godmother. I trusted her opinion on spray tanning, facials, skincare, and all the things to prep myself for the big day. I took all her comments to heart and she was such a comfort.

I must say, on the morning of my wedding, I have NEVER felt more calm. And I credit a lot of that to HVH, Sydnee, Gabriella, and Rebekah. They entered the bridal suite and in ten minutes, turned it into a full Hollywood set. I felt like a celebrity surrounded by my strongest advocates, hilarious friends, and from the moment I sat down, didn’t have one worry.

All of my bridesmaids and family members have shared that they received their favorite hair and makeup to date on my wedding day. A truly beautiful crew was made even more glamorous. They all looked like the “desert sexy” version of themselves and could not have been happier.

The photos say all the things I could never convey. From my first look: Glam Cinderella to my second: Jenny from the Block, I felt the most beautiful I have ever felt. And I bawled my eyes out during the ceremony and my makeup was flawless. And HVH achieved the impossible, professional, sustainable wedding makeup that felt effortless, like air.

10/10 Recommend!

I was initially stressed about hair and makeup, but Heather and her team immediately took the stress away with their professionalism and expertise. Sydnee was my primary artist for hair and makeup, with Keara on hair for my bridesmaids. They were both amazing! Sydnee was a joy to spend time with during my trial and on the wedding day. For my trial, she drew inspiration from photos I shared to create a look that really complimented my features. I had engagement photos following the trial, so Sydnee turned my wedding up-do into a lovely half-up, half-down style to keep an element of surprise for my husband.

On our wedding day, Sydnee arrived at the bridal suite bright and early to start on bridesmaids' makeup. I was surprised by the early start time when first seeing the HMUA schedule, however, HVH artists are the experts and the schedule ended up working out perfectly with everyone 100% ready to go when our photographers arrived. I felt like a princess and my bridesmaids and mom all looked stunning! Most of them rarely wear makeup and Sydnee did a wonderful job with natural-looking, photo-ready makeup that had everyone feeling like themselves but extra beautiful. Keara also did a great job on bridesmaids' hair, navigating the different lengths and incorporating baby's breath into each style. Huge plus that our hair and makeup looked beautiful and held through the entire reception. Thank you, Sydnee and Keara, for our day-of glam and to Heather for building such a talented team of artists!

Amazing wedding with HVH & Team

I can't say enough amazing things about HVH and her team. A lot of other hair and makeup artists I looked at were very heavy/dramatic/unnatrual on the makeup; Heather's work looked very natural and just like an enhanced better version of yourself so I was immediately drawn to her. I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup for both my trial and my wedding day; Heather did our makeup and had a combo of Chelsea, Rebekah, and Lindsey for hair. They were all amazing. Heather runs an incredibly efficient and professional business. She is also an all-things-beauty oracle; if any of us wanted something with our hair or makeup and couldn't articulate it, Heather was able to basically read our minds and express it for us. Fantastic hair & makeup!

I would highly recommend Heather Van Houten Makeup & Hair. Heather herself is lovely to work with - I live abroad and she made time for an initial phone consultation and was super helpful answering all my questions before booking. She understood my concerns about curly hair - her team has great experience and knowledge dealing with curly hair styling.

I did a trial with her team - and although I was happy with it, she and her team took the photos from it and found ways to improve on an already wonderful job. It's such a sign of a professional to stand back and keep looking for ways to improve your own work - I was so impressed by this!

For my wedding we had Rebekah (hair) and Erika (makeup) - they are both so talented, but also just incredibly lovely people. They brought such a calm, fun vibe to the room while we were getting ready - was just what you wanted on such a big day! I would definitely recommend them for any bride out there.

If you want to look like a million dollars....

You need to book HVH Artists. Heather and her team are incredible and so talented. I had admired their work on social media, but the real time results for the ladies and myself were insane. I felt so beautiful and so confident. Heather was our make up artist, and Rebekah LaFalce was our hair artist. Within 10 minutes of meeting them during the make up trial, I knew we selected right. They both really listened to each girl when talking about what they were thinking for hair and make up, and then also took into account the dresses, the overall wedding vibe, location, etc. It was impressive to watch them work! And I pushed them to the limits by requesting a second look between ceremony and reception. I should have known it would be epic though because when I asked if it was possible, Heather's response was YES! And she immediately started thinking up a second lip color and look. Rebekah created a gorgeous low bun for my ceremony look and then turned it into the most stunning low ponytail of my dreams. I didn't want to take off my make up or take out my hair at the end of the night it was just too good. Heather and Rebekah are wonderful people and I'm jealous of everyone else that still gets to work with them!!

HVH is amazing!

Heather and Chelsea did an absolutely AMAZING job! They listened to what the ladies asked for and provided guidance and ideas. I trust these two so much that I didn't even have to show Heather any inspiration pictures for my makeup - she knew exactly what to do! I also decided to change my hairstyle the morning of our wedding and I didn't even hesitate because I knew they would understand what I wanted and make it happen - and they did! All I have to say is Heather has perfected the wedding beauty craft!! I can't wait for her to become famous (even more than she already is) because I know it's going to happen for her one day! Heather and her team are absolutely amazing! We had Rebekah as our hair artist and Gabrielle as our makeup artist. They are completely sweet and wonderful and I was so so happy to have them! Amazing makeup and hair artists!

I booked Erika and Chelsea through HVH Artists for my wedding, and they were truly amazing throughout the entire process. Everything in the contract is straightforward with no surprises, which I greatly appreciated. My trials with Erika and Chelsea were fantastic! I'm horrible with makeup, but just talking to Erika about my wedding and overall look she was able to put together the perfect makeup look for me. Chelsea was absolutely great with my hair (I have a lot of it) and gave me tips on what to do with it the weeks leading up to the wedding, and really made sure I loved the style and fit with my wedding look. AMAZING! Makeup and Hair Magicians!

I have endless amounts of amazing things to say about Heather, Chelsea, Erika and Sydnee (my wedding day team)!! First, they're super responsive and organized, and stay on schedule to make sure your timeline doesn't get messed up. Second, they are so nice, easy to talk to and fun people to be around; which is important since you spend quite a bit of time with them while getting ready! And of course, they are makeup and hair magicians! It was extremely important to me to look my best on my wedding day, and that is why I hired Heather and her team. After my trial, I didn't have a doubt in my mind that I would look amazing. My expectations were set very high and they exceeded them. Heather spent extra time with me just to make sure that every single detail was perfect, and it was (double lashes are where it's at)! We even had one picky bridesmaid who wasn't really in love with how her hair turned out, and Sydnee took the time to give her a style she loved. Super accommodating and extremely professional. I truly felt so beautiful on my wedding day, and I have them to thank! Would definitely recommend to anyone!!

Working with Heather and her team was such a joyful experience! They were always right on time and so professional!

It can be overwhelming to try to plan a timeline for your wedding day, but Heather took care of it! All I had to do was tell her what time we had to be ready for photos and who was getting what done and she took care of everything else!

Heather actually didn’t do hair or makeup herself at my wedding as she had a different wedding, but her team was fantastic! They even curled my nieces hair as an add on when she saw everyone else getting their hair done and wanted to be pampered too! 10/10 awesome experience!

Simply the Best Wedding Hair and Makeup Artists

Heather Van Houten and her gifted team of HVH artists transformed me into a glamorous bride by providing both hair and makeup services on my wedding day. I looked and felt like my most beautiful self on my special day. They helped me feel confident to pose in photos and as I walked down the aisle.

My makeup stayed flawless for the entire day! The lashes that Heather artfully placed made my eyes “pop” in photos! My gorgeous hairstyle felt like “me” but elevated – exactly what I had hoped for! Chelsea recommended and executed the most beautiful half-up/half-down style with a twist and soft waves.

HVH is the best. Hands down. Game over.

My short review for Heather and her team is that these ladies are awesome. I had Rebekah (hair) and Gabrielle (makeup) working on me for my wedding and they did a phenomenal job. Do yourself a favor and book them. If you want to read a longer review, see below :)

Gabrielle did a great job on my makeup. She helped me choose a look based on my dress and vibe for the wedding. On the wedding day itself, my bridesmaids all went a little darker, so she asked me if I wanted to match them. I appreciated that she was able to adapt on that day and thought to keep all the ladies looking cohesive. Every time she has done my makeup, I've felt transformed. Also, I was crying all day at my wedding and my makeup lasted - no black streaks from mascara, no noticeable discoloring. She does a really great job!

The path for my hairstyle was more complicated. I had a lot of trouble visualizing how I wanted my hair to look and I kept changing my mind. After a few trials, a mini meltdown, and some chatting, Rebekah found a hairstyle that was gold - and we did it for the first time on my wedding day itself. She showed me an image and it was like the heavens opened up. I said, "Yes!! That is IT!" She gave me an edgier twist on a classic look and I absolutely loved it. Many people complimented my look, but several specifically praised my hair. Rebekah nailed it. I looked and felt awesome. I appreciated how she was willing to go outside of the typical wedding style for something different and fresh. Moreover, Rebekah was incredibly understanding and accommodating throughout the entire process. I put her through the wringer a little bit with my anxiety, but she handled it like a pro and was so kind. I highly recommend her!

I want to give a quick shoutout to Sydnee Rivera for doing an amazing balayage job on my hair. It really made a difference in giving my hair dimension and making Rebekah's styling even more prominent.

Finally, I had a few bridesmaids who wanted to be a little more "extra" than the normal wedding look. Since Heather was already on site for another wedding, she volunteered to help, for which I am so grateful. She and everyone on her team go above and beyond; they really take care of their brides and bridal parties. They are also so fun and make you look your absolute best. Not only did I feel amazing on my wedding day, but so did all my bridesmaids. They loved their hairstyles and makeup looks and raved about them for days afterward. I could go on and on about HVH, but this review is already very long. If you're needing a professional MUAH team for your wedding, book HVH and Artists. You'll be glad you did.

True Experts!

Seriously just stop looking for your wedding day hair and makeup vendors and hire Heather and her team. And book now because they fill up fast! I booked about 10 months in advance! With Heather on makeup and Chelsea on hair my bridesmaids and I looked flawless. I felt like a QUEEN. Everything was extremely high quality including the lashes which I was initially skeptical about. Heather even airbrushed my hair part line so that my hair looked thicker. They think of everything! Both Heather and Chelsea are so versatile and can conquer any look you are going for. Not only do they have magical powers to transform you into Beyonce status, but they are complete professionals. At my hair and makeup trial they really got to know what I was looking for and I got to see the style I picked come to life and was able to make tweaks. Which is really important to do BEFORE the wedding day. Heather also sent me a questionnaire to understand my bridesmaids hair types and makeup preferences in order to create an accurate day of schedule. Heather and Chelsea were extremely organized and efficient the day of the wedding as well. They scheduled time in for touch ups and we were finished ahead of time. This was so important to me after hearing horror stories from my friends who hired their beauty team last minute and the wedding day started off chaotic, rushed, and off schedule. Heather and Chelsea were very diligent about the schedule they created, without making us feel rushed. I would 100% recommend hiring Heather Van Houten to make you and your girls look and feel beautiful on the day of your wedding!

I could not speak any higher of Heather, Sydnee & The rest of the girls on the team. I had an associate wedding meaning Heather herself was not there the day of - however, this did not impact the services that were provided before and during our wedding, the experience could not have been any better! To start - Heather is SO responsive. She responds to all emails within 24 hours (usually even quicker) and has a way of making you feel like you are the only Bride in the world. After a rough makeup trial with a different company, she of did an incredible job my easing my mind and made me feel like a million bucks on my wedding day. The entire team is so professional. They have a system that ensures all of your bridesmaids are ready on time and looking absolutely flawless - regardless of what they request. Each of my bridesmaids had very different looks they were going for and each one came out incredible! We had 10 girls receiving services and it went off without a single problem. I would recommend HVH to literally every bride out there. I can guarantee you will be nothing but happy with the final results. I look back at my photos now and am absolutely in love with my wedding hair and makeup, thanks to Heather, Sydnee and the team!

Hire them!

I am so thankful one of my bridesmaids found Heather and her team for our wedding. Heather and Chelsea are make-up and hair Goddesses! Heather is so talented, she listens to your vision and she makes it come to life. Did I mention how sweet she is?! She stayed behind for a little to make sure my hair and make-up were on point for our first look and family photos. I can't thank her enough for doing that. They were so accommodating to all of my changes and requests. Not only is Heather a fantastic human, professional and make up artist but her whole staff were truly amazing! Heather was very communicative and if she wasn’t to respond, she made sure to have an auto reply letting you know when she could respond! She was in such good spirits the whole day of my wedding making me and all my bridesmaids feel fabulous! She was funny, quick, and super helpful! She made suggestions, helped and guided my bridesmaids through their beauty questions and most importantly she stayed with me the whole wedding! She followed me around and added lipstick, make up, touch ups whenever needed! Her staff were super sweet, fun to be around and made getting ready so smooth and easy! I highly recommend HVH for your big day! I wish she lived in NYC because I’d go to her for every make up appointment I needed! She made me feel and look like a true princess bride! Every person (which was 13) looked truly flawless. She did so amazingly that people asked for her information at our wedding so they could book her in the future. I got married about 2 weeks ago and my family, friends, and I are still talking about HVH! Heather did an amazing job organizing an associate team to help my girls and I get ready for the big day. She was prompt, professional, and kind! Although we didn’t have her magic hands with us on the wedding day, we did have the pleasure of getting our hair done by Chelsea and our makeup done by Renee. What a power duo! These girls worked back to back and made us all look and feel like movie stars. I thought some of the girls’ hairstyle requests were advanced but Chelsea made them look easy! Heather and her team are an absolute delight! Heather did my makeup for me 4 years ago when I graduated college and then she did my makeup for me when I got married. She's so sweet, patient, funny, and truly is a master at her craft. She took the time to match the style of my makeup and hair to my dress and the boho theme of my wedding. She also took the time to look at my photographer's style so that the makeup complemented that as well. She went above and beyond to make sure my wedding-look was perfect. Heather & her team are amazing! I was reluctant to agree to getting my hair and makeup done for my best friends wedding because of previous bad experiences but I was so happy with how my hair and makeup came out! Heather was such a pleasure to work with! She was very responsive to any questions I had. She would respond the next day if not the day Of! Heather was very responsive and immediately told me all the information I needed plus answered any questions I still had (which came up a lot through the process). She is very detailed to make sure she gets a look YOU love! We also used her team, and had Chelsea do hair for myself and my bridal party. Heather and her team (Sydnee Rivera on hair) were absolutely amazing! Seriously surpassed my expectations on every level. I am usually a bit skeptical about getting hair and make up done because in my past experience it hasn't always worked out great, so happy I came across them for my wedding. I can't say enough good things about them, everything from their professionalism to their positive attitude made me feel at ease. I felt like the most beautiful version of myself which is important to note, because that's what I wanted. To look natural yet done up, and they delivered just that. Most important - our makeup didn't budge. We clocked out of prep at 2:30p and at 12:30a it still looked amazing. Heather helped with the consultation and the set-up but for my trial Sydnee did my hair and makeup and day of Sydnee did my hair and all make-up while Rebekah did all the other hair.

HVH was super easy to work with. Very responsive to emails and questions and really laid things out of us so it was understandable. Follow the recommendations she has about collecting ideas and bringing them to the trial! All of her team is very professional and fun. They worked well and listened to the concerns of all ages - youngest was 13 and oldest was 57 and we all looked appropriate, beautiful, and "like stunning" (grooms and groomsman).

We did book HVH early, about 10 months out and if I ever need hair and make-up again in the Tucson area, I know who I am going to.

I did not just select 5/5 stars for all of these to be nice. These ladies are wonderful, efficient and really know their stuff! Taylor did my makeup recently (bridesmaid) and I have incredibly sensitive skin so I had to bring my own makeup along as well as my brushes. She made me look flawless using the very minimal makeup I own and really catered to my skin tone. As a pale redhead she used the right colors and tones on me and I felt flawless!! Heather and her team really made the whole hair and make-up process a breeze. They traveled from Tucson to Phoenix for my wedding and provided a day-of schedule so everything was organized. They really listened to mine and my bridesmaids requests and were so accommodating to our indecisiveness, until everything looked perfect. They even convinced my to try false-eyelashes!

I also loved the hair and make-up trial a couple months before the wedding; it really helped me decide what I wanted and figure out what looked best on me.

Overall, Heather and her team did a fantastic job and I would definitely recommend them to anyone (especially brides like me who usually don't wear makeup).

Heather was extremely professional, and she did a great job of making sure that everything was coordinated and easy. As someone who rarely wears makeup and doesn't do a whole lot more with her hair than brush it, I knew that I should get my hair and makeup done, but I was also nervous that it would be too overdone and not look like me. I had Chelsea Curry do my and many of my bride's maid's hair, and everyone loved the style that they received--and Chelsea was so fun. I also had Jenna Lujan do my makeup and some of my bride's maid's hair--she also did a fabulous job, making sure that I looked like a flawless version of me. I really could not have asked for a better hair and makeup experience--they are well worth the price.

Heather and Chelsea were beyond helpful in helping me and my bridesmaids and mom have fabulous hair. They were organized and accommodating and flexible, adding a trial for my mom here and changing my look after my trial there. I had such a great experience and would recommend them highly!

Heather and Sydney were WONDERFUL! I did a trial with them and they did a wonderful job, and even adjusted my hair to my liking as we talked. They are professional, versatile, and very talented! They arrived early to our venue and even finished early, which is unheard of in the wedding world! We had extra time to take pictures before my ceremony began. Even my two mothers loved their hair and make up, and we all know how hard mothers can be to please ;-) I looked the most beautiful I have ever looked on my wedding day thanks to this team. Heather did my make up and it was absolutely phenomenal. She makes you look amazing and treats you as if you've been friends for years. Chelsea did my hair and was also fantastic. I am SO happy i found them.

Heather and her team were fantastic throughout the entire wedding process! They do a fabulous job and are truly professional makeup and hair artists. They were super flexible and ensured that (despite the unexpected rain), the entire bridal party looked amazing. We booked the 2 hour touch up in addition to the regular services and its worth every penny. I would definitely choose Heather again for any makeup/hair event needs.

As a 60 yr. Old Mother of the Groom, Heather and her team made me feel (and I think look) like one of the bridesmaids! Her Air brushed makeup application is so natural I received so many compliments. It lasted all day and night. I want to follow up with a class to recreate my look! Heather is easy to work with on travel and time. I can't wait to see the pictures of the beautiful bride and wedding party.

I chose Heather to be my make up artist. I chose her due to all the great reviews I read online and I am glad I did. I asked for airbrush make up and I loved it. I cannot say enough amazing things about Heather & her incredible team! Being an out of state bride, I relied heavily on email + phone to communicate with my vendor team and Heather was always very prompt to respond to any of my emails + phone calls. From our first initial meeting over the phone, I knew I could trust Heather and her team to create my perfect bridal look!

Heather did my hair + makeup trial for my engagement photos (which I would highly recommend) & I was able to show her inspo photos and discuss the look + feel that I envisioned for my big day. I absolutely loved the natural & sun kissed look she gave me--which was VERY important for this Southern California bride :)

Prior to the wedding, Heather sends out a hair + makeup schedule for everyone which makes it extremely organized + stress free! Heather + her team listened to exactly what my bridal party wanted to create the perfect look for each person. All of my wedding party looked absolutely stunning! I especially loved the incredible fishtail braid Sydnee did for my Maid of Honor! I also loved being able to utilize Heather's mobile spray tanning service on the day of to cover up some bikini tan lines on my back!

Overall, if you're thinking about booking Heather + her team for your big day, DO IT! Not only is she extremely fun + easy to work with, she will make you look & feel like the most beautiful version of yourself!

Heather and Sydnee are seriously amazing. Our photographer recommended Heather Van Houten Makeup & Hair to me for our second wedding photoshoot (our first one got rained out). I'm kicking myself for going to a salon for wedding hair and make-up before because Heather and Sydnee did SUCH a fantastic job! My hair and make-up were absolutely flawless. My stubborn hair held a curl the entire day, and my make-up made everything pop and made my face glow. It was incredible and I can't recommend this women enough! They're very professional and so friendly and easy to talk to. Plus, Heather has the cutest little cat ever!

Heather's services might stick out initially as being more on the expensive end, but she is so worth it. Her services include transport to your location (we did it at a hotel and it was so fun to get ready with my girls together!), a touch-up kit, and for us three artists working on our looks. They were friendly and easy to talk to and extremely skilled. I looked amazing and it stuck all day and night, without breaking me out too bad either. The makeup photographs very well and they nailed my look better than I had even imagined. You'd be crazy to use anybody else! My mother, my aunt, my grandmother, and my 4 bridesmaids did it with me and everyone felt gorgeous and so happy with how Heather's team made us look.

So glad I found Heather and her team !!! Heather responded QUICKLY to each of my emails which is nice for a stressed out bride. I opted for the bride hair and makeup trial and was so happy that I did ! I met Sydnee (hair) and Taylor (makeup) who were both so sweet and did an amazing job !! Heather sent out a detailed timed schedule before the wedding for the bridal party and the girls kept that schedule the day of and I was able to leave for my wedding on time. They provided everything for the hair and makeup, which makes it easy for the bride ! I loved the girls company. Their professionalism and calmness definitely made my wedding morning that much easier. Loved them !!

Heather and Chelsea made me and my five bridesmaids feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day! They did such a phenomenal job! Both Heather and Chelsea are great at what they do. I came in with only a few ideas and some pictures and with their help my hair and makeup turned out absolutely perfect!
Working with Heather was a breeze. Setting up services and getting everything situated was super easy! She is very accommodating, has excellent customer service, and it is very clear she is passionate about achieving the very best look possible for her clients. Heather Van Houten Makeup & Hair is impressive beyond words! Heather's work is stunning and you can tell she is passionate about her talent, skills, and business. Heather and her team were genuinely all-stars for our wedding day. We worked with Heather, Sydnee, Shawntel, Jenna, Heather Shouse, and Zarah who were took the time to listen and execute the desired look of our 10 bridesmaids, my mother, and mother-in-law, as well as for me! They took the time to make sure each person was pleased and comfortable as some do not wear makeup day-to-day, while others do regularly. They were able to work with different types of girls and styles. Everyone looked beyond beautiful on the day of our wedding!

Planning a wedding from across the country from Tucson, does not always feel like an easy feat. Having never worked with Heather or her team before, she made me feel comfortable from our initial email conversations and phone call. Quick to reply to emails (any every question no matter how small) I knew we could trust her as she was very professional throughout the process. She was great to work with in planning ahead, as well as with my mother and sister for trials requested. We are impressed with her flexibility to work with timing (even having one of her staff handle the execution of the schedule on the day of), as well as working with our wedding planner. The wedding day can go by so quickly but as an entire day touchups were much appreciated!! We are so grateful our wedding planner recommended Heather!!

Upon meeting Heather for my hair and makeup trial and seeing the end result of the trial, I knew we had made the right choice! Open to my requests to go dark and smoky, Heather understood what I wanted and really guided our vision through the trial. It was stunning and I could not be happier with how I looked and the bridal party looked. I only wish I could hire Heather and her team for everyday glam! I cannot recommend Heather Van Houten Makeup & Hair enough!

Heather Van Houten and her team were absolutely phenomenal. I was coming in from out of town and am someone who normally wears NO make-up or every gets my hair done by someone else, I am a control freak about my face and hair and think that I actually look older and weird when I wear make-up. So, she had her work cut out for her! Because I do not prioritize make-up I didn't think that I would need a trial and we didn't have much time for one anyway, however, she was concerned that she was not going to be able to be the person who would do my make-up on my wedding day, so she "strongly encouraged" me to have her and her make-up artist (I now see the light and understand what artists they really are!!) come later on an evening night just before the wedding, to do a trial for my hair and my make-up. I hemmed and hawed about how this was going to take time away from our guests as we had a three day destination wedding at the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch in Tucson, Az. planned for our celebration.

Heather and her team were exceptional. They listened to me and gave me exactly what I wanted, which was more of an editorial look, with wild crazy gorgeous hair and subtle but sharply executed make-up palette. I have never looked like that before and will likely never look like that again, but I also felt like a magical sea creature which is exactly what I wanted!

We have not be able to post pictures of our wedding because our photographer has applied for a spread in a magazine, but if I could describe the beauty and put it into words, they truly made me understand the art of make-up and hair in the process of celebrating the most important day of one's life. Also, Heather and her team are SO down to earth, they made me feel heard and understood and were open to me saying when something was not working and I needed or wanted something else. If you have the good fortune of crossing paths with Heather Van Houten, do not hesitate to use her for your wedding, loved them!!!

Heather was an absolute pleasure to work with. Her positive attitude and humor are contagious which made everyone so comfortable in her presence. In her company, I felt as though we were old friends who had been reunited.

After being engaged for nearly half a decade, the Mr. and I decided to spend about a month planning our Leap Day nuptials. Not wanting to worry about my hair and makeup was on the top of my to do list. I did some searching, and found Heather, and she was the artist of my dreams. I didn't have time to do a trial, so there was no room for error on the big day. I came with a few ideas, and Heather worked her magic. Her patience with me was phenomenal, as not only did I switched time and location a couple times, I was also mutli-tasking nearly the entire time. Heather made me feel relaxed and at ease. After we were done, I felt beautiful and confident, and that feeling lasted the entire night. Heather was the best, and I would definitely recommend her to absolutely anyone.

Heather Van Houten and her associate Heather were exceptional! They made us feel absolutely gorgeous for my wedding. My mom and I both did a trial run for my bridal shower with the Heathers and they truly knew how to pull together the images that we found of hair and makeup that we liked and match it to our styles and complexions for a beautiful look. My mom, MOH, and I also utilized the spray tan service Heather offers. She took the time, precision, and attention to detail to make sure that we did not miss any spots as well as ensured that the shade we each received would complement our complexions. No orange here!! Heather is so talented and an absolutely awesome vendor to work with! She was so flexible every step of the way, and of course, outrageously talented. I felt beautiful on my wedding day, and so did everyone else who received services from her. The amateur pictures and photo booth shots are turning out great (professional photos aren't finished yet) and I have heard from so many guests that I looked beautiful and was "glowing." A lot of that glow was the joy and majic of the day, and a lot of it was thanks to Heather. :-)

I'm very happy that I went with Heather for hair and makeup. Heather Van Houten did the makeup for myself, my bridesmaids and my mother-in-law for the wedding. All of the girls loved their looks. Heather Van Houten and Heather Shouse are AMAZING. They worked around my engagement pictures to do my trial hair and makeup even though it was in the middle of busy season. I showed them what I was thinking about for hair and they were able to recreate it and make it even better. Heather asked my fiance what he would like to see me in as far as makeup natural or more dramatic. He chose dramatic and I loved it had I tried to do it myself I probably would have looked like a raccoon. These ladies were a blast we had a great time listening to music and chatting while they worked their magic. Another major plus was that I have SUPER sensitive skin and the makeup didnt cause me to break out or make my eyes itch. I cant wait for November to see these ladies again and have them work on my whole bridal party!

Again Heather and her team were more than I could ask for. They made the getting ready process easy and stress free. Each and everyone of us felt the most beautiful we ever have. Heather and her team were especially great with my 7 year old daughter the flower girl. They gave her the full treatment and made her feel like one of the big girls which totally made her day. Heather made me feel like a PRINCESS!!! We connected right away and she got a feel for exactly how I wanted my make up for my big day. She was professional and friendly and very easy going. I absolutley loved my interaction with Heather. She even added in three extra girls at a moments notice and they were equally pleased. I was very impressed with her technique and her obvious natural talent with makeup. Heather provided makeup services for two of my bridesmaids and myself. She met with us several months before to do a trial and make sure I was happy with the look for the wedding day. On the day of the wedding, she arrived early to set up and then began doing makeup for the bridesmaids. She took her time and made sure each of us loved our looks. When the other bridesmaids saw how good our eyelashes looked, they decided to have her put some on them as well. We all loved the way we look and I would recommend her to any bride for a gorgeous wedding day look.

I am so happy I chose to go with Heather V (makeup) and Heather H (hair). Both these ladies listened to my vision and executed my trial. I knew they'd be perfect for my bridal party and I.

Beauty prep on the wedding day went so smoothly! The ladies were punctual and worked together very well. At last minute Heather and her team were able to squeeze in an additional 4 services that day without skipping a beat.

I felt like I looked like the best version of myself on my wedding day and I credit that to this team of artists! Not to mention I was 8 months pregnant at the time of my wedding and I felt beautiful! I was a walking furnace and my makeup did not need any retouching even after the hour long ceremony where I was melting. As for my bridal party, I felt each of their individual features and personalities shined thru.

Heather was so awesome to work with. She is friendly, personable and knows how to do hair and makeup. I booked her for my bridal shower photo shoot and she knew exactly what to do. She matched my hair and make-up to my wedding dress perfectly. I didn't have to try and explain to her what I wanted to look like or the colors that I wanted. Especially since I had no idea! She is amazing with blending foundation to an exact match of your skin tone! Heather is so awesome! Love working with her and will continue to book her for any event for my hair and make-up. I also booked Heather for my bridal photo shoot, bridal shower, wedding and for my husbands retirement ceremony! Cant forget her top notch hair stylist Heather; she did an awesome job straightening my hair. Thank you so much!

I have had the pleasure of having Heather do my makeup twice now and each time was a pleasantly fun time! She is a master with the airbrush, my makeup was flawless and i got so many compliments i couldnt keep count. Thanks Heather for making me feel beautiful!

I was a bridesmaid for my friends wedding and Heather was fabulous. She was personable and rocked the look I wanted. She was around to touch up the bride during photos but was so kind to also make sure the bridesmaids looked great too. She was flexible with those moments that come up and it was an absolute pleasure to have her there as part of my dearest friends special day.

This is a once in a lifetime experience and I wanted my videos and pictures to be flawless. I did my research in Tucson/Phoenix and found Heather. I scheduled her for my pre-trial and from the start we hit it off! She is friendly, brings a positive, fun attitude and above all a master in her craft. She made me feel and look beautiful! The day of the wedding she brought the same vibrant, positive energy I needed. She did my whole bridal party (6). With a group that big she kept my bridesmaids to the timeline we created and was amazingly patient with all our different personalities. I would highly recommend Heather as your professional makeup artist for your big day! Her knowledge and application of makeup, fun personality, and her high standards of professionalism have made Heather my makeup artist for those special events.

Heather was (and is) absolutely amazing! She's so easy to work with and knows EXACTLY what kind of look someone wants even if they're not sure themselves (guilty). She made sure that everyone in the wedding party, including the moms had a look they were comfortable with and was true to their characters. My mom (MOB) was hesitant about new makeup but Heather totally eased her mind and my mom ended up LOVING her "new look" ! The day of, Heather helped keep the atmosphere very calm and was very efficient! She helped make sure we were picture perfect throughout all the pictures and ceremony!

Heather is a master of the natural look and can adjust the look to anyone's taste. The makeup itself feels so light you forget you have it on. It is also very durable and lasted all day but a breeze to take off at the end of the night!

I would absolutely recommend Heather to anyone for any major event and hopefully get to work with her again!

Heather was amazing! My make up was flawless, and my hair look great. I even recommended her for a friends wedding and it turned out beautiful as well. I honestly can't say enough great things, she's awesome!!

Heather was so awesome! She organized the day of wedding schedule for all 8 women that wanted their makeup done. She was on time and everything went so smooth. Her work is just amazing! Makeup is so flawless. She really is an artist. She knows what will compliment your skin color and will make you look the most fabulous! I will go to her again if I ever need. I would strongly recommend her to anyone who needs makeup services.

Heather is amazing! She is so talented and so much fun to work with. She listened to what I wanted but also put her own creative twist on it and the end result was perfect. The entire team is talented, friendly and professional. Heather was super responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the process. It felt great knowing that I had someone with me on my wedding day who was excited to be there and invested in the process. Would hire her again in a heartbeat!

Heather and Heather were so amazing and fun to work with. They made my experience getting ready all fun and way less stressful. They were also very supportive and helpful to my mother in law who was having a hard time deciding how she wanted to look. They worked very quickly. For someone who has never gotten her hair and make up done, they made me feel totally comfortable.
