Heather is amazing! She's so talented and a joy to work with. I accidentally told our hair and make up artists the wrong time we were leaving for the venue giving us less time for getting ready pictures. Heather was extremely flexible and was able to get the pictures we needed in enough time to leave for the venue.
She was incredibly responsive with any questions I have and calmed my nerves in the final days leading up to the wedding as well. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a chill, laid back, and super talented photographer! -

I was fortunate enough to hire someone I went to school with to be our photography. While we only knew of each other back in the day, hiring her as our photographer made us so much closer and I’m lucky enough to now call her a friend!
Heather was an absolute dream to work with. She was with me every step of the way wedding planning from my “say yes to the dress” moment all the way to our cake cutting. She made the entire process so easy and most importantly, her pictures came out STUNNING!
She not only made sure that each and every one of my vendors stuck to the timeline but had an absolute blast capturing the night. The best part? She had our photos back to us within A WEEK. ONE. WEEK! I’ve seen couples wait 6+ months for their final photos and I couldn’t even imagine. She is so friendly, laid back, and professional (but fun!) that half the time I didn’t even realize she was behind the scene, capturing all the important moments. If you can hire Heather, DO IT! You won’t regret it. -

I can't say enough wonderful things about Heather. She not only captured the magic that was our wedding day, but also became a friend. She let me vent to her about crazy planning stresses which helped me maintain some sanity during the process. Heather goes above and beyond for you! She was physically on the ground, in the middle of the dance floor, up on stage, and everywhere else just to get that one amazing shot. You will not regret hiring her!! -

My (now) husband and I decided to move abroad & we were rushed to plan our wedding/elopement in about 3 weeks...needless to say, we were overwhelmed and stressed. We found Heather through her partnership with ElopeRVA, and are SO incredibly lucky and grateful that she was our wedding photographer. We can't imagine working with anyone else! Heather made the process so easy and seamless from the moment we reached out to her. She was incredibly responsive to any questions we had prior to the wedding and was overall very flexible and accommodating. I was having a wedding during COVID with a very high-risk family member and was worried about the group being too close together for group photos. Heather was so understanding and helpful when I told her this and helped us to work around it- all while making sure that everyone felt comfortable! On the day of the wedding, I was a mess...but Heather showed up early and made the process of posing for photos feel natural and fun! I had NO idea what type of photos I wanted, but Heather used her talent and creativity to come up with shots that were more beautiful than we could have ever imagined! We are BEYOND in love with our photos. Heather was highly professional, but so much fun to work with at the same time, and it felt like we were hanging out with a friend...and we still continue to stay in touch! :) Afterwards, Heather got our pictures to us in ONE DAY! We were so amazed at how quick the turnaround time was, and were so thankful because we were so eager to see our photos! Any future photography needs, I would 10/10 reach out to Heather again first. Thank you Heather! -

AMAZING a million stars!!
We wish that we could give Heather more than just five stars, she deserves a million!! Honestly, we are so thankful that we hired her to capture our big day! We have received SO many compliments on how beautiful our pictures are and that they look like the came out of a magazine! She hands down is the best. I am so grateful for everything she did for us that day! And for capturing memories that will last a lifetime! She is personable, very responsive, funny, has great ideas, and makes you feel comfortable taking pictures as well. She honestly is the best photographer you could ask for and truly cares about her clients! We are so grateful for her! :)

I am not the easiest person to photograph and I came into our engagement session warning Heather that she was going to have her work cut out for her. I'm not the mushiest of brides either, so again...work cut out for her. When my pictures were ready (super, super fast!), I was very nervous about seeing them...but honestly, they are the BEST things I could have ever asked for! She truly captured the relationship between me and my partner and actually got a smile on my face. I am so thrilled that I chose her to do our pictures and am absolutely tickled to be taking her with us on our destination wedding in September! Heather is the best to work with and she is perfect for a bride on a budget (like me). You will not be disappointed with her!! -

Fantastic experience, you won't be sorry!
Heather is the fairy godmother of wedding and couples photography—she made our engagement photo dreams come true! She's darling to work with; so kind and cooperative, and we had so much fun with Heather that even my fiancé agreed that our engagement photo session didn't even feel like a photo session! She's so talented that we barely noticed being posed and the prompts made us look so natural and romantic. Excellent photos, excellent service. I'm SO excited to work with heather again at our wedding in Colorado this fall! -

When I met Heather, we were both just photographers in a group and she seemed so sweet. When I reached out to that group because my wedding photographer screwed me over, Heather messaged me right away! We spoke for weeks about ideas and when the moment came, she created magic out of thin air. She is a true magician of photography. I feel so beautiful in them and continue to. The photos she took of my husband and I are beyond this planet, out of this world gorgeous. She made my wedding dreams to come true. I will scream from the skyscrapers. how amazing she really is! If you would like wedding photos that will be forever stunning, a photographer who has a big heart, and a lifetime of captured memories: Heather is your photographer! -

She was very friendly, professional and passionate about what she does. A few of our bridal party members are jokesters and she dealt with it perfectly! She traveled pretty far and worked with me on pricing, shea thw best! We will see each other again on thw other side od the lens 📷 😃 -

Alex Sent on 11/09/2019We like her and she’s very communicative, but she over-edited backgrounds and didn’t take or give us as many pictures as we would’ve liked.
Pros:
1. Very excited to get to know us ahead of time to develop a relationship. This was very appreciated as we are both introverts and had a tiny wedding (30 people total). Having a stranger follow us around on our wedding day was a very intimidating thought but the photographer did a great job of easing that anxiety getting to know us first.
2. Very responsive and solid communication. Awesome at answering our questions and addressing any concerns we had from inquiry through photo delivery. Our flash-drive of pictures arrived damaged and stopped working quickly after getting it. Photographer quickly replaced it
3. Captured at least one picture of every guest with a big smile on their face
4. I really like our couples portraits. She did a great job helping us know where/ how to stand so we looked and felt comfortable and natural.
Cons:
1. We got married at a public park. The ceremony was on a pier and the reception was on in a pavilion. On the pier we can see the background clearly (first picture), but the background of every picture at the reception is extremely blurred and washed out (second picture). It almost feels like she thought our venue was ugly and therefore tried to hide it. The second picture is from the photographer, and the third picture was from my dad’s iphone. These two pictures were taken a few seconds apart, cameras facing the same direction. The pictures are beautiful, we were just hoping to see a bit more of our venue/ background. We looked at her gallery before choosing her to be our photographer, and she didn’t do this to other out-door weddings.
2. We understand that we will not receive every picture that they take. However, we didn’t receive pictures of several silly moments that we really enjoyed (that we know they took pictures of). When we requested a new flash-drive we also requested her to upload a couple specific pictures to the online gallery but she hasn’t yet at the time of writing (a few weeks after receiving the new flash-drive in the mail).
3. A few times throughout the day we noticed our parents taking pictures on their phones at the same time she and her second were not taking pictures. -
