The Harro East was a great choice for our special day. We were able to decorate the room. The staff was amazing and the food and drinks were great. My guests were very happy. MaryKay is amazing.

We had our wedding reception at the Harro East Ballroom, and we could not have been happier with this venue! Mary Kay was wonderful for helping us plan the details of our reception. She got back to us right away with answers to our questions. Mary Kay gave us good recommendations for vendors, centerpieces, table settings, and additional ways to help our guests feel comfortable during our reception.

We had a buffet dinner, and our guests raved about how delicious the food was. We did upgrade our bar package to include better selections of wine and beer. The overall price was very reasonable for delicious food and drinks in a beautiful ballroom!

We had a band perform at the Harro East. The setup on the stage was perfect and the acoustics were amazing. Mary Kay worked with the band to ensure that the evening ran smoothly. The staff at the Harro East helped to pack up everything that we had brought to the ballroom, which was much appreciated at the end of the night. We highly recommend the Harro East Ballroom as a wedding reception venue!

We celebrated our daughter's wedding at this magnificent venue. The ballroom was just beautiful, the staff so helpful and accommodating. The food was just so delicious, we did the buffet with roast beef and had many, many compliments. We had an open bar, closed during dinner and it was great. Everything about our evening went off without a hitch, and it truly was a night to remember.

We had our ceremony and reception at the Harro East Ballroom this spring and everything was amazing! I knew as soon as I walked in that this was the place for us....unique, grand, and classy. Mary Kay was very organized and made sure the whole process was so easy for us. She was also very responsive, always getting back to me very quickly. She also had a lot of great advice to offer along the way.
We heard from many guests that they loved the venue and food! For what you get the cost is very reasonable. I would recommend it to any couple looking for a unique and memorable venue!

This was the most beautiful venue, with the most professional staff, and delicious food! I have been to many, many weddings, and none of them compare to what Mary Kay and her staff gave us for our daughter's wedding. She runs a tight ship, but it pays off in big dividends on the wedding day.....everything was smooth sailing, on time, and high class. I think this is Rochester's best kept secret!!

The best part of my wedding was working with Mary Kay at Harro East ballroom. She made everything so easy and was so flexible. The ballroom was beautiful. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious and my guests are still raving about it! My reception was so fun and was made to fit me exactly. This is the most perfect venue for wedding receptions in Rochester. I would recommend it 100% to anyone who asks!

Mary Kay at the Harro East Ballroom coordinated our wedding reception this past October. She could not have made the process easier for us. The venue itself is simply gorgeous and needed little in terms of decorations. Mary Kay guided us through the planning and made sure the night went smoothly. My husband and I had absolutely nothing to worry about during the reception. Her staff was professional and kind. We had a buffet for about 160 people and everyone loved the food. Mary Kay worked so well with all the other vendors, so there were no slip ups that we noticed. She even recommended favorite vendors of hers for us when we were at a loss for ideas. We ended up going with her suggestion for a DJ service and they were excellent. She was flexible with set up times and even let us leave some of our belongings there overnight for our convenience. Given the quality of service, food, bar, and overall experience, it was a financial bargain. I would recommend Mary Kay at the Harro East Ballroom to anyone looking for a wedding or party venue. Everything was perfect and the food is fantastic.

Harro East is such a beautiful Venue. Mary Kay did such a fabulous job coordinating our wedding and keeping everything on schedule. Their staff was very professional and the food was delicious (wish i had time to eat more of it). Listen to Mary Kay's recommendations for other vendors as well, Breakthrough Entertainment being one of them. Keep up the great work guys!

Used the Harro East Ballroom for our wedding ceremony and reception. It is a beautiful venue with a lot of great character. The owner Mary Kay goes above and beyond to help with planning and making the big day run smoothly. Food is EXCELLENT - both our DJ and photographer were ecstatic when we mentioned the venue because they like the food so much - and you know they have been everywhere! The service was great - and the endless space for dancing made for a fun night!

This place was perfect for our wedding reception!! The food was excellent and everyone loved the buffet! The only thing is that when drinks are spilled on the dance floor, it can get really slippery. They do come around and mop up the drinks, but it still is slippery.

Mary Kay is the most helpful catering coordinator you could ever ask for! Whether I was calling or just dropping in, she always made herself available to sooth my nerves and answer my questions. So great!

The food here is awesome! Really, it goes way over what you'd expect for wedding food.

We looked all over Rochester for a reception venue and were shocked at how reasonably priced the Harro East was! For a vintage theater in downtown it was almost cheap! With some uplighting the room looked gorgeous and it fit our over 200 guests no problem! SO much better than some hotel ballroom.

The Harro East was a great place to have a reception... They were very professional and flexible.... They were easy to work with and very very polite.... I love the whole thing about my reception, I would recommend the Harro East to anyone I know getting married...

We were very happy with Mary Kay and the Harro East Ballroom. Mary Kay was very easy to work with and she really knows her stuff. Our guests were thrilled with the venue and had many compliments.

This venue was perfect for our reception. It was large enough to accommodate almost 200 guests, with room to spare. MaryKay made the planning process so easy.

The best part about this place was the food! Everyone loved it and we had so much food for our guests for a great price!

Mary k the wedding coordinator is great to work with she really knows her stuff and helped my husband and I through the wedding planning. The cost wasn't awful compared to many other places and the venue is beautiful. Lots of room for dancing! We didn't even have centerpieces and it looked great! And many of the guests told me that was the best food they ever had at a wedding. It was delicious!

Beautiful venue with decent food, lots of space and plenty of drinks flowing. The site coordinator can be a challenge to work with at times, but with some persistence, most reasonable requests are allowed for. She runs a tight ship and in the end it works out for the best.

This place canceled our wedding reception three days before our wedding. We have not heard from them since. They refused to open after they told us we would need to cut our guest list in half. They later told us it wasn’t worth it to open for such a small amount of people. Here is an excerpt from the email. These are their typos, not mine.
“ At this point, you will need to pick a new wedding / party date with us. We can not open for 20 - 25 people. It will cost us way to much and God forbid if anyone gets sick, we will be highly fined, possibly lose our liquor license and also possibly sued. If you have been reading the articles and watching the news, this keeps happening everywhere. Also, my boss has put a lot of time and money into reopening the Harro East Ballroom, and we can mot afford the bad press and fines.”
The absolute nerve! And to receive this three days before our wedding. Don’t let this happen to you. Your dream wedding will become a nightmare.
