Hair With Christie

Christie Smith, Master Colorist and Stylist works at the Harbour Salon & Spa in Hampstead, NC. I hired her and my makeup artist at the same time. They work really well as a team. Actually, they are the dream team!! She did a beautiful job on my hair. She started working on the color a few weeks before and my color and highlights were beautiful. I am so happy that I hired her and would do it again!!

Great hair & makeup team in Wilmington

I loved working with the Harbour Salon team for my wedding on October 8th. They came to Shell Island Resort where we were getting ready and made the whole process very seamless (and fun!). I did a hair trial and two makeup trials which they happily accommodated at both locations of their salon. Highly recommend!

Green Wedding

Booked for our surprise wedding. The bridesmaids and brides makeup turned out beautiful, their hair was awesome. Love loved loved it! The venue offered up snacks and refreshments! It was awesome.

My daughter’s hair was absolutely gorgeous! This salon was great. Both daughters, my niece and my own hair was stunning. Personnel were friendly and delivered exactly the hair styles we asked for. I got makeup as well. I was “pretty in pink” and received so many compliments in route to and from my daughter’s wedding. Wonderful salon! We got the breakfast food option and was delicious! Lovely experience!

Amazing service!

Meg was my hair and makeup stylist and she was absolutely amazing!! I'd recommend her to everyone! I wanted a natural look for wedding with an updo and she nailed it!!! I started using this salon for other services like massage and to get my eyebrows waxed and they've knocked it out of the park with everything! Pricing is affordable and service is great! Use this salon, they rock!!

Amazing wedding hair and make-up

Wow is all I can say. These ladies have skills! Super professional. I felt so comfortable in both of their chairs. My make-up was air brush (totally worth it btw) and stayed on my entire wedding night. The hair was flawless as well, stayed even until the next morning! Safe to say....best salon I could have picked.

Relaxing & Beautiful Executed

The staff at Harbour Club were a dream to work with while planning my wedding! From our first emails they were receptive, understanding and answered all my questions in a timely manner! My makeup trial was relaxing, and Kristin was so easy to plan and work with. She listened to my vision and recreated it perfectly. For our wedding, we got ready on site. The staff was reassuring and executed my vision perfectly! We had 9 women in my bridal party. The staff completed all our looks (hair & make up) early, giving us time to relax and enjoy our time together before the ceremony! Highly recommended!

Professional, Fun, & Relaxing!

I hired Harbour Club Salon to do the wedding hair and make-up for my bridesmaids, my mom, my mother-in-law, wedding director, and myself. We absolutely LOVED them. They were incredibly professional and made the process so much fun. It was so relaxing and put everyone at ease before the big event. I am TRULY grateful for that. They made us look gorgeous, and I would highly recommend them for future events.

Beach bride beauty

I loved working with the stylists at Harbour Club Day Spa! Cressa was responsive from my first email and was so accommodating during the whole scheduling process. I worked with Drew as my hair stylist and was so impressed. Not only she is super talented but she is super fun and sweet to work with, too :) Kirstin did my mom's and as well as my makeup and we felt like movie stars. She was so sweet and a joy to work with. Both ladies made sure we were happy not only during the process but with our final products. I had my nails done the day before and Susan and Karina were so awesome. I did have some issues with my pedicure peeling off- I think because the amount of layers they had to do to achieve the color I wanted. They did correct it the next day during my hair appointment, which was super kind of them to do. My gel manicure lasted past my honeymoon and I was very happy with that. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with the pleasant atmosphere, customer service, and final product provided by Harbour Club :)

My Wedding hair and makeup

I recently got married and scheduled mine and my bridesmaids hair and make up appointments at Harbour. Drew is my regular stylist and she did an amazing job on my updo. I absolutely loved it and got tons of compliments on my hair. Kristen did my make up and we had talked previously about the look I was going for. She listened to everything I wanted and did a fabulous job. I wanted a “glowing” look and that’s exactly what she delivered! There were also several other stylists and make up artists doing the rest of my group and all were thrilled with their results as well. Thank you to everyone at Harbour for wonderful customer service and a job well done.

Lovely experience!

My bridal party was thrilled with the way our hair and makeup came out at the Harbor Club Day Spa. My mom and I generally don’t wear a lot of makeup, so we asked Kristin to help us look as natural as possible while still making us look glamorous for our big day, and she did just that and more! Drew and Susan did our hair and they were amazing as usual - our curls held all night long! Highly recommend this spa to anyone!

The ladies at Harbour Club Day spa were all so great! Did amazing jobs on my hair and make up for my wedding as well as all of my bridesmaids'. We even wanted to add a few more touch ups like eye lashes and add someone's makeup into the schedule with short notice and they got it done. It was great. Such sweet people and great service.

Jessica from Harbour club did hair and makeup on location for me, my maid of honor and my mom on my wedding day. She was so great about listening to what we all wanted and then making it happen! She was right on time and finished early. She is also super nice and fun to talk to!

I am so happy that we chose Harbour Club. My bridesmaids and I were all thrilled with how amazing our hair and makeup looked. And it still looked great at the end of the night! The staff was so accommodating in making sure our schedule worked for the wedding day and quick to respond to any changes.

Harbour Club Day Spa's team helped make our day special and unforgettable. We used their make up team for our wedding day. They were flexible and talented with ability to put all the bridesmaids/brides wants into reality. Using the airbrush and lash extensions made such a different in completing the "look". Everyone looked beautiful. We also had our nails done at the salon the day before which was relaxing. We couldn't have asked for anything more and highly suggest using their team for services.

Great experience. Everyone was very friendly. They respond quickly to emails. I will say, if you have fine hair and typically need products to give yourself volume, be sure to use these prior to your appointment. It makes things easier.

Oh my gosh, the girls from Harbor Day Club Spa were so amazing and talented!! They were so laid back and easy to work with. My bridesmaids all wanted different hairstyles and the girls were super accommodating, it was great. Our hair and makeup turning out PERFECT! I highly recommend them!!

For the day before my sisters wedding, I booked appointments for a group of girls to get our nails. Harbour Club Day Spa and Salon went beyond our expectations. The facility and their employees were accommodating, clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area! There services are endless and the employees are great!

Megan worked her magic to make me look bright eyed and beautiful on my wedding day after a late night the night before, and Kelly created a beautiful, elegant style for my short hair. Pricier than some others, but their level of experience and professionalism was exactly what I wanted on my wedding day. Alex was very helpful and professional throughout the planning process. I was so happy with my hair, make-up and nails done by Harbour Club Day Spa and Salon! Pat did a wonderful job on my hair. He helped find a style that worked for what I wanted and that would last throughout my entire beach wedding. My hair was perfect the whole day, and my make-up was as well. Jessica and kelly were great...and so sweet. They opened the shop for my wedding on a Sunday which was so fun for my bridal party and allowed us to bring in our own food and alcohol.

I am from out of town and was really nervous booking a place I didn't know. The staff eased my mind right away with how quick they scheduled my entire bridal party. Sent emails to keep in touch during the planning. The experience when we got there was great. Jessica did a wonderful job with my hair and helped put me at ease. We had our makeup done as well and I can't say enough about her. She spent time with each of us to make sure we were happy. Also sent me home with a sample cream for my sensitive skin. I wish I could bring them all back to Ohio so I can have them here year round. I loved this place. Highly recommend! Thanks for everything!

We had such a great time getting ready with the ladies from Harbour Club! They timed everything out perfectly and my bridesmaids and I looked beautiful (if I do say so, myself) I had done a Bridal Preview originally and decided last minute I wanted to change my hairstyle a little bit - and it was no problem! We worked together until it was perfect.

They completed our hair and makeup onsite (our rented beach house), so we had the luxury of not having to travel which was a huge time saver! They brought all of their beauty supplies with them and were very responsive and easy to work with when it came to trying out different styles. They also retouched everyone with lipstick and a curling iron before we all walked down the aisle. I would not only use them for weddings, but also for cuts, colors, & waxing! To all future brides of Wilmington, NC - I would use them if I were YOU! :)

If you are getting married you have to have Meagan Bainer to do your makeup! I was so impressed with her skill and knowledge of makeup artistry! I didn't know exactly what I wanted to look like but Meagan instantly knew what would look best. I'm so thankful that on the most important day of my life, I was able to relax and and just feel so pretty. Her calm personality and professional attitude just were icing on the cake. I could never thank her enough.

Jessica did an incredible job with hair & makeup for both my bridesmaids and I. She came to my house the morning of my wedding and was on-time and extremely organized. Jessica went out of her way to make sure everyone felt confident and comfortable with their hairstyles. The girls and I received tons of compliments on our looks. I used the Harbour Club for the hair, nails and makeup for myself, my bridesmaids, my mother and my mother-in-law having never been to the salon. I live in Indiana but had a destination wedding in Wilmington and everyone at the Harbour Club was extremely accommodating and helpful in getting the day off without a hitch. We all loved the results and everyone was so nice. I was able to do a hair trial at my salon in Indiana and send the Harbour Club pictures to work off of on the actual day so that they had a really good idea of what I wanted. They used fantastic make up products and my makeup lasted all day - even though I sobbed at my wedding! I would highly recommend using the Harbour Club for any event!

Jessica was amazing throughout the entire wedding planning process. I scheduled a trial with her and brought pictures, which she took time to analyze and customize just for me. I had also used Harbor Club for eyebrow waxing and hair cuts for the months leading up to my big day and was thrilled with the results each time.
On the day of the wedding, Jessica arrived in plenty of time (she actually beat me, as I was running a little late), was super supportive and pleasant and delivered amazing results. She truly made me feel like a princess on my wedding day. My makeup and hair complimented my dress perfectly. My bridesmaids also looked stunning.
That was not all...my flowers were delivered while Jessica was doing my bridesmaid's hair and the flowers looked horrid. My florist did not do a great job and I panicked. Jessica calmed everyone down and then fixed the bouquets! She is truly a jack of all trades and was great in a tight spot.
The price was great, especially considering Jessica drove all the way from Wilmington to Oak Island to work on location.
I would definitely recommend Harbor Club (and Jessica) to any bride planning a wedding. She went above and beyond and really made a huge difference in my day.

Katherine was very helpful when I was trying to schedule appointment for everyone in my wedding party. My makeup was beautiful, and Jessica did an awesome job on my hair. It came out exactly how I had imagined it, even though I didn't give her much to go on. Everyone at Harbour Club was so sweet and it was a great atmosphere for us to prep at.

The entire staff was just wonderful to work with, from our trial appointment to the appointment on the day of the wedding. The Bride and her Bridesmaid's looked absolutely gorgeous. We had all different hair types...from straight, thin, to thick and curly and each one's hair was beautifully done! We had a Beach wedding and their hair stayed intact from start to finish!!! Jessica and Megan were just great, even when I, the Mother of the Bride decided last minute to add hair and makeup!

Jessica and Meagan did the hair and makeup for my wedding in October. They did an amazing job!!! They came onsite (30 minutes early!) and were extremely flexible with adding in the extra bridesmaid or two who all of a sudden wanted hair or makeup done. They are both masters of their craft and really flexible, making sure everyone got what they needed done and leaving plenty of time for the bride. Thank you both for being so great on my wedding day. You were easy to work with and just great energy to have in the house. I’d highly recommend any bride use the ladies and gents at Harbour Day Spa and Salon! They will make you look gorgeous and feel fabulous!

Jessica at Harbour Club Salon and Day Spa is an absolute MASTER of hair. She is actually the owner of the salon and very personable. She looked at pictures of what I wanted to do, did a trial run, and did an absolutely gorgeous job on my hair. I got my hair done in an updo at 9:30AM on the day of my wedding and it was still in place for my ceremony at 7PM. She also did a wonderful job on my bridesmaid's hair. The salon is a fun place to get ready, even providing glasses for the champagne we brought. I highly, highly recommend Jessica and Sara-Lynn, as well as the rest of the staff at Harbour Club.

If I could give 10 stars for flexibility I would!!! I had a large bridal party and the ladies at Harbour Club worked with me through changes in scheduling, changes in who would be getting services done, and then even changes in the location of the services! We spent two days with Harbour Club; Thursday getting nails done for all of the party, and Friday getting hair and makeup done with their on-location option. We originally were going to do hair and makeup in the salon, but changed to on-location relatively last minute and they were nothing but accommodating. All of the girls were so happy with how their hair turned out including myself. Amber worked so hard to make sure my hair was exactly how I wanted it, tweaking the hair style until it was perfect. When I am in the area, I will be sure to visit Harbour Club for any hair, makeup, or nail services in the future!!

I just got married on May 11, 2013 and I used Harbour Club Spa & Salon for hair, nails and make-up and could not be more impressed!! My mom and I have known Shanon Hoffman for almost 10 years, and wouldn't want anyone else doing my hair for such a special day :) He did the most amazing job and it stayed in place through the wind on the beach and into the next morning and looked absolutely beautiful. Megan came to Shell Island to do my make-up and did a wonderful job as well! She was even kind enough to put lashes on most of my girls, even though we hadn't planned for that. We had a nail spa day the day before my wedding and had the best time! All of the ladies did an amazing job and were so sweet. I also wanted to add how organized the scheduling process was. I was so impressed and it put my mind at ease (which is what every bride could only wish we could get throughout the whole wedding planning process). She worked with me through any changes and suggested catering packages, which was a HUGE hit with all of my bridesmaids. We didn't have to worry about finding lunch before the ceremony... it was all set up when we got there and was delicious! Thank you so much for everything!

On April 21st 2012 my best friend asked for my hand in marriage and soon after that the wedding planning stress kicked in. When we decided Wilmington, NC would be our wedding destination I immediately knew that I wanted Harbour Club Spa and Salon to doll up my bridesmaids and me for my big day! I knew this salon would be the perfect place because of their friendly, well skilled, and professional staff. As the big day got closer I was getting more nervous and stressed which caused my face to breakout like I've never experienced before in which started to cause me to have concerns on how I would look when my soon-to-be husband sees me for the first time as I walk down the aisle. However, my concerns were resolved when my makeup artist Megan worked her magic. She took her time to figure out which make up would work best for me and cover up my blemishes. She did a wonderful job and my makeup was absolutely amazing!! My hair stylist, Jessica was also amazing. I brought in a couple of ideas of what I wanted and she incorporated into exactly what I was looking for! I was weary if my hair could hold curls due to it being so fine, but Jessica worked her magic and my curls stayed in all night and was still curly and beautiful the day after the wedding. Needless to say, on my wedding day Harbour Club worked their magic on me and my bridesmaids while we sipped on drinks and relaxed! Everyone looked absolutely stunning!! The staff was super friendly and also very professional. Jessica was also onsite at the wedding to help me do an up-do for the dress I changed into after the ceremony. She once again had me looking wonderful and it took her no time! Such amazing staff and services from HC!

Sara-lynn was my wedding hairstylist. I also went for a trial-run with her a couple weeks in advance (I had never met her before or visited the salon). She was professional but had a fun and warm demeanor. I went with a low side chignon, and during the trial-run appointment, she tried several different versions to make sure we found the one that looked just right. It looked great on the wedding day and I received so many compliments on the style. The style remained mostly intact throughout the night, despite some very gusty winds during the beach ceremony. I highly recommend her for up-do's. The salon was a clean and relaxing environment.

Amber styled my hair for my wedding, and she did an amazing job. I would HIGHLY recommend that any bride-to-be go in for a demo before the wedding day. Costs add up quickly, but it is definitely worth it. On my demo day, Amber went through probably about 4 hair styles, none of which really seemed to work out for me, but then we finally found a happy solution for what I wanted and what would work for my wedding day. I have long hair, and got married outside, but I didn't want to have my hair up or in a bun, I wanted it down and loose. We finally settled on doing a side barrel ponytail, and she was able to set my very fine hair into a curl and to keep it all together despite me spending most of my wedding day outdoors in the humidity. She did a fabulous job!

Great place to go to get ready for a wedding! Myself, my flower girl, and my 4 bridesmaids went to get our hair done before my wedding and we had a great time. The atmosphere is very nice, they offer complimentary drinks/wine, and everyone was very pleasant. Amber did an amazing job with my hair, I just showed her a picture of what I liked on Pinterest and she made it happen! It's a bit pricey compared to other places I looked at but it was worth it, everything went smoothly and we were all very satisfied with our hair!

This event was in honor of and in preparation for my sister's wedding. We had a wonderful time at the spa. My sister was very relaxed, and we all enjoyed being able to spend time with her before the wedding. The ladies who did our manicures and pedicures were wonderful, very personable and friendly, and the food was delicious. I would not hesitate to recommend Harbour Day Spa to anyone for any occasion!

The staff at Harbour Club took great care of us. When the catering portion of our day didn't show, they took salad orders from us and went next door. They set up a lovely meal outside for me and my bridal party. Kelly was the stylist who took care of me ... she was wonderful! I got compliments on my hair and makeup, which looked and felt incredibly natural.

Friendly staff, very talented!

Myself, my mom and bridal party of 5 did hair and makeup at Harbour Club for my wedding. They were so accommodating, and opened the salon for us on Sunday (when they are normally closed) to take our group. They had catering brought in and it was so fun to have the place to ourselves. My hair and makeup was done by Drew and Kristin, respectively. I did my trial with both and they were so great with talking through everything with me in terms of what I was looking for and what was and wasn't working. I was so happy with how everything turned out and felt so beautiful on the big day. Emily and Grace did hair and makeup for some of my bridesmaids as well, and they and my Mom received numerous compliments on both their hair and makeup the day of the wedding, too! Would definitely recommend :)
